The leaks abt the new Viktor VGU confirming they're replacing all of his old skins and designs with the Arcane version is.... So so disappointing. I want to cry in frustration. Old Lore Viktor is self made, he and Jayce clashed over a difference in morals that were still understandable and grounded in reality. Viktor left, created his new body HIMSELF and used his ingenuity to help the people of Zaun. To replace all that with a sleek iPad version where he just gets possessed by an infected magic orb and ascends to godhood or whatever is SUCH a let down.

Through the ringing in his ears, he hears the soldiers standing over him talking in Russian. Even if his head wasn’t spinning from the blow he took earlier, he still wouldn’t be able to make it out. Foreign languages were never easy for him to wrap his head around, let alone something like Russian. It was Owens that wanted him to learn. Not much, obviously. Just enough. Just in case he ever ended up in a situation exactly like this. Captured. Interrogated. Anything he could pick up could be useful if a rescue attempt was successful. Not that it matters now.

He tries to listen anyway, even as white spots drift through his vision like ashes, or the spores from the Upside Down that stuck to the back of his teeth and lined his throat and lungs with a thin, scummy film. Stomach churning, he squeezes his eyes shut and clenches his jaw against the nausea that tickles the back of his throat. The soldiers are still talking when it passes, but all he makes out is bitch.

You. They mean you.

Rage, white hot and violent rises up inside of him. He forces himself to his knees. The soldiers stop talking, eyeing him like he’s a stray dog. Barred teeth. Hackles raised.

The one that was questioning him grabs him by the hair and yanks his head back roughly, forcing him to squint as the bright lights overhead blind him. “How old are you, American?” the interrogator asks again. “Or should we ask your girlfriend instead?”

A lump forms in his throat, but he swallows it down and grits his teeth when his head is pulled back harder. “Twenty-four.”

“Good,” the soldier says, releasing his hair. “That’s very good.” Before his head can lull forward, the soldier grabs his face, patting him roughly on the cheek just once. “Means you should survive.”

the fact that it's specifically stated that faulkner lied when he said no one else knew about the house is so funny to me because

a) im used to things specifically mentioned in writing coming back and the idea of carpenter being like "well i know a place we can crash at" and her and hayward walking into the cabin and seeing faulkner n rane just standing there is unquestionably hilarious but also

b) it means that faulkner had to have told her about his past at some point and that means that when he asked to be her brother she had fully acknowledged the fact that faulkner killed one of his brothers in a traumatic misunderstanding he's reconstructed in his mind as a good thing As Well As the fact that her last brother died in an act of religious self-sacrifice, and said yes. with her little caveat. just mentally grabbing him by the collar like "listen. i don't want you to kill yourself for your god. and i hope you don't want to kill me for your god. and if either happens i am going to kick your ass in hell when both of us get there"
