I posted these on reddit a while ago and I've gotten multiple messages asking if I had any other social media? Which I didn't at the time, but after years of not bothering to post my art I think that was the boost I needed to finally re-emerge from the rock I've been living under.

ANYWAY uhhhhhh I've drawn these guys so much since I posted this that they might look a little different when I eventually post my newer art of them. Mostly because I don't bother drawing the little crosses on their heads anymore besides on leshy because frankly the antennae are really funny. If anyone has any questions about my hcs or what I intend to do with the characters, my ask box is open and I don't have anything better to do than endlessly ramble about gods that 100% would rip my head off immediately if I ever encountered them!

SPEAKING OF WHICH, the reception I got for these on reddit was way more positive than I was expecting which I am immensely grateful for, but there was definitely some miscommunication about the afab shamura headcanon so I'm just gonna dump about that below the cut if you want to hear me ramble about my nonbinary-ness for a while:

OKAY SO it's canon that the bishops were feral little animals before they found their crowns, right? Leshy and Shamura both talk about it during their follower quests. Feral animals do not have a concept of gender, only biological sex, so if they ascended to sapient godhood they would suddenly have a grasp of gender. My hc is that Shamura was a female feral spider, ascended to godhood, lost their bio sex in the process as with all the other bishops, and was just like "you know what? I don't want to be anything. This is kinda swag actually" so they just became War and Grief and Cosmic Horror incarnate. I am fucking desperate for any relatable enby representation in the media I like, so I just want to clarify me saying they were female at some point just is me going "I am living vicariously through this character who shed their mortal flesh prison to be an eldritch spider war god devoid of any sex characteristics" and not "I'm one of those numerous people who for some reason lumps this canonically agender character in with a binary sex". i’m so happy i’ve been a part of this little community for as long as i have. everyone is super nice and inspiring and unbelievably talented, and im so glad to be posting content with people like y’all.

it’s absurd to think i’ve been doing this for 3 years and that i almost have 800 people here seeing it, but the love and support i’ve received over these years has been incredible. given that this is such a small community and i’ve either spoken with most of you or have at the very least interacted with your content, i feel confident in saying that every single person here is incredible in their own right and truly are the reason i stay here. you guys are genuinely the best, even if i forget to answer your asks or sometimes leave you on read for a while (i do that with everyone i’m so sorry) i mean it when i say that i do consider a good portion of you my friends. even if it’s been a while since we messaged or talked, you’re all awesome. and if i don’t know you personally, please feel free to message me! i love making friends, especially in a community like this that has time and time again proven to have some of the genuinely nicest people on the internet <3

On this blog, I will post art, OCs, videos, stories, writing, pretty much anything I feel like. While at the moment I plan on mostly uploading Dandy's World content, expect stuff for other fandoms as well!

The reason why I made this blog is so that I can maybe save my TikTok videos and stuff like that in case the TikTok ban actually goes through. Now I'm not 100% sure what will happen, because I'm hearing a few different outcomes. I hear some people say TikTok will disappear completely and it will be deemed lost and unusable, but others say it will only disappear from the app store so no more people can download it, but those who already have it will be able to stay on. So I'm not exactly sure what the truth is or what's really gonna happen or if they're actually gonna go through with the ban. Unless I find out the full truth, there's not much I can do except to just wait because there's too many rumors floating around the media.

But regardless of the outcome, it's nice to have another place to put my stuff if things go downhill, right?

I also love how you have foxy rising baby Roxy do you have art of how he found her or her with her mom. Cuz I know he a fox and Roxy A wolf o don't know if Fox and wolfs can cross breed but I am very curious on how he found her or who he merrid to.

Tbh within the werebeings world, it runs on human breeding rules. Whatever child comes out is just a mess of dominant traits. So in the case of say a bunny and a fox, it's likely a bunny will come out kinda thing.

But for Foxy, Roxy isn't his child through blood at all. But rather that funky book only (minus a few easter eggs) wolf is Roxy's dad. We're gonna call him TW and slap him as Foxy's brother. TW and his partner died in a car accident shortly after Roxanne was born, leaving a horribly ill prepared Foxy to suddenly be a dad. He didn't turn down the challenge and just figured his life out around Roxy.

A lot of the crew helped when he had to do shows and such. So she was basically raised around the rock world, and got to see a lot of things, but it left her a little socially awkward as she wasn't around kids her own age until she was like 10, which was when Foxy had some people he trusted take Roxy while he was touring and such. Still was pretty active in her life though, and spent as much time as he could with her.

Since he raised Roxy from birth, she has always referred to him as dad and has always seen her as dad, and Foxy has always been very open about her history. Would tell her stories of her birth parents all the time.

Which death of bio dad in car accident, and Foxy later getting into his own accident, Roxy was incredibly terrified she lost her dad again. But Foxy came out okay.

Foxy has no like, base canon partner in my AU. Just a free floating single dad looking to mingle

Progress Post 2

So, it’s been another month and while I’ve made some pretty big progress, I’ve also suffered some roadblocks that kept me from creating at the speed I’m used to. Mainly: I got pretty sick, the election punted my inspiration, and some aggressive deadlines at work have eaten up a lot of my spare energy. But I am still moving forwards, just at a slower pace. So, this is gonna be a pretty thin update.

Writing

I posted about this, but I did hit 7k words with the completion of the revisions. It’s not nearly as long as some demos, but I still have some more to add. I’m aiming for around 10k, primarily because you will have to play through the demo at least twice to unlock all the routes. And while the skip text feature native to Renpy will still be there, I don’t want to force people back through a long demo to get what they want.

So, what I’ve done is:

I really didn’t do much in the way of programming. The routes page is now fully functional and I’m working on filling it with useful information about the routes. But other than that, there really hasn’t been much progress here. Though to be fair, the bulk of this work is waiting for the writing to be completed.

I know that since I’m not doing the art for this I should be further, and I had really hoped to be. But being sick eats into my spare cash. So, I was not able to get everything I wanted for the month including the spooky art. Still missing sounds and music but I now know where I’ll be getting them from.

I ended up writing out something post-election that fits my feelings on the matter. Not sure if it’ll be anything yet, but it’s a shelved project I hope to pick back up, maybe for a game jam or something.

I had meant for this month to be where I really buckle in on socials and all the external things. But just had the wind knocked out of my sails and I was only able to do a few of the things I wanted. These projects for work are still not done and will continue to eat into my time, and then the holidays are gonna take over, so I can’t say when I’ll be back to my previous speed. But that doesn’t mean I’m stopping. I just might not hit the deadline I had set for myself.

I leave you all with these. I’m not entirely sure why I made them or when, so it must have been while I was sick. But I don’t hate them so here they are.

I think that actors being super involved in the fandoms for franchises they’re in is truly the ULTIMATE marketing tactic that I don’t think the actual creators really take notice of.

As someone who reeallly only gets deep into franchises based on the fandom, these actors are like the fucking backbone of them. Not even exaggerating on that. They unintentionally bring more content for fans to thrive on and keep them involved with the community a lot longer than usual which is absolutely fantastic for people like me who are tired of fandoms dying so quickly because of how short our attention spans have become (thank you tikTok and thank you Streaming services for releasing content all at once instead of one episode per week, totally didn’t completely backfire on your longevity)

For example, let me talk about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) Ghost, Soap, König and Horangi:

Initially, Ghost had started appearing on tik tok when the game released sometime around October or November, and because this character was sexy as fuck, he brought in a HUGE AMOUNT of fans from an entirely different demographic (more women, more lgbt people, more mask kink people too lmao) which is so vastly different from its stereotypical community (being males who are often insufferable, sexist, homophobic and transphobic)

But the interesting thing is, once Neil Ellice (Soap’s actor) started showing up and involving himself within TikTok after That One Interview, his character’s popularity BOOMED, while Ghost kind of just remained the same level, despite both Neil and Samuel being present in that interview. I think this is because Ghost’s actor (Samuel Roukin) never really took too much interest in social media’s or the newer cod fandom, and his reactions and responses to questions in the interview never seemed (to me at least) that he cared too much or that he didn’t want to be there. (I don’t think it was intentional though, but it’s hard to know for sure)

After a week or so of the game release, König started to win the hearts of the new cod fans as soon as players started to unlock him in DMZ/multiplayer; people were obsessing over him, despite not being a story mode character (all we had was his character backstory written in his bio)…. And then his Voice actor (Jim Boeven) suddenly made an instagram story reply to someone and either unintentionally or intentionally made a remark in regards to König that came off as homophobic. This actually kind of killed the König fans temporarily; it felt awkward and uncomfortable to express liking König for a while because a lot of the homophobic fans or even just other regular fans would reply to fan art and comments and edits saying “but he’s straight/but his VA is homophobic and calls himself an alpha male unironically” etc. it was also interesting to see how the lgbt fans would actually start rejecting Jim and fully separating him from König in attempt to “reclaim” him and say “Jim isn’t technically his creator/writer, therefore the things he says in regards to König is irrelevant and not canon”, but when Neil would say something about Soap, those same fans would treat it as canon despite it being just as true as the heterosexual König remark Jim made.

I wrote an extra paragraph for Horangi but I accidentally deleted it all ugh I didn’t know adding a link would replace the entire paragraph with the preview and disappear let me do a tldr I don’t know much about Horangi because his character popularity increase is extremely recent OR because I kinda fell out of the fandom briefly until a week ago but essentially I think that Nick Martineau (horangi VA) interacting with the fandom on Neil levels is definitely reviving some cod fans and making player’s interest in COD last just a bit longer.

Anyway the tweet I was gonna link was him talking about joining AO3, the fanfic writers were FREAKING OUT and scared him out of it

I think this really shows how much effect these voice actors & actors have over these characters outside of professional work. Fandoms are a slippery slope so of course, if an actor puts a negative input on ‘their’ character, it’s going to have a negative response or effect from some of the fandom, and vice versa. It needs to be treated with respect and open mindedness.

I guess also the beauty of not having actors involved is that you can avoid this issue all together. You can’t really stop actors from “tainting” characters outside of official media because their words outside of it doesn’t make it official or canon at all

But anyways, Old fashion interviews can be nice too. but it’s different. Interviews can easily seem too professional and insincere, that the actor doesn’t actually have to have any passion for the franchise/character, can only be there for the money or because they have to be there, etc even if that’s not always the case… so it’s truly on another level when an actor has a lot of passion and love for their community and interacts with fans outside of interviews. The casual-ness, it feels more personal, and there’s a lack of need for censoring for company image or whatever and those factors name it so easy to become more attached to the character AND the actor themself.

It feels so special when the art, memes, projects, edits, and even fanfics you make can have an unprompted response from an actor involved. i think it’s normal when you see their reactions and it put you on a small high + silly bragging rights even if they comment on a lot of things.

Even if the actor is not like their character (let’s be real, actors are very rarely anything like the characters they play) it still sort of feels like that character is still alive in them, even if the character has died and the show has ended… it fills me with so much happiness especially when these actors react like their characters or answer questions on behalf of the character, or give their opinions on silly discourse, headcanon’s, theories and ships. The fandoms FEAST on this shit for a good while and it becomes the talk of the week!

Oh boy and let me tell you more instances where actors have completely amplified my emotional attachment to franchises!!! (Warning: irrelevant rambles you don’t need to read)

I was hyperfixating HARD on rdr2 a few years ago and obviously it’s just so easy to fall in love with the world and the characters in that amazing game on its own, but when I discovered Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan), Robert Wiethoff (John Marston) and Peter Blomquist’s (Micah Bell) instagram accounts, I had so much fun seeing their involvement in the fandom (despite it being little in comparison to mw2), seeing how Peter would make his instagram captions allude to not being human and kind of just acting as a Micah parody, seeing Peter make (hilarious) dad jokes (that I steal to this day) and build a fucking chicken coop on live it just makes it SOO SPECIAL!

One moment that was super special to me was when Roger Clark voiced a western audiobook and gave out some copies for free on twitter and I was a winner. I was able to have a chat with him, and after a while I made some doodles of the book characters and he saw them and ended up following me back 🥹🥹🥹 (STILL SAD THOUGH BECAUSE I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THE ACCOUNT)

Oh oh oh and TF2, those voice actors are quite literally carrying TF2 more than the actual fucking devs GENUINELY! It’s actually kind of upsetting how these actors really openly want to do more official things with the game but valve is sadly dead as fuck these days… Medic’s voice actor especially (who I think streams occasionally? I’ve never made it to one before) makes the fandom much more livelier and so fun, doing lines in medic’s voice and the fans creating funny sfm’s and comics from them!

Actually, one of the hugest impacts an actor has made on me definitely has to be Bill Moseley. I’m sure most of you probably have no fucking clue who this dude is so let me tell you all about him

I first discovered Bill Moseley in the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (still my #1 favourite film) and he plays Chop Top, the brother of Leatherface. Sadly that character is only in that film though but oh my god, Bill Moseley did what no other actor could ever do…

I fell into a rabbit hole and discovered that Bill Moseley formed a band called Cornbugs where he essentially roleplays/sings AS CHOP TOP and it also had fucking BUCKETHEAD in it (I believe he’s one of the musicians who has made the most albums (435) in the world) and he is an absolute guitar legend and genuinely amazing music despite his silly iconic look (you guessed it he wears a bucket on his head)

Although it sounds…. Extremely unique, to say the least, I am lucky enough to be one of those people who actually enjoys all kinds of music (yes, even country, before you roll your eyes. Don’t underestimate my tastes) because most of the songs are extremely silly and fun but would probably sound… too interesting to the average person. Most of the appeal to me initially was how in some of the songs it was pretty explicitly about chop top, bubba and Drayton and my hyperfixation thrived for so so so so much longer than it should have purely because of that music career.

It also doesn’t end there though, he has an even Niche’r band that is active currently (unlike Cornbugs bc it got dispanded after buckethead got bored and left I think) called Spider Mountain that has music that genuinely surprised me. These songs are actually so good and underrated even though they are also silly (and definitely would be more appealing to Normal listeners in comparison to Cornbugs) but even though it’s about completely disconnected to chop top, I’ve noticed that the lyrics in a few of these songs seem to be about some family members and himself, like Maple Men which is an extremely silly but catchy song, and they just fill me with so much glee. Like this dude is just a dad having fun in the studio!! Making songs about silly and random topics like Goose Steppin’ Down Broadway, incredible shrinking man, and stupid life of a mom eater LIKE THEYRE JUST SO SILLY AND FUN AND CHARMINGGG these types of passionate actors increase my lifespan and when they go far and wide for the franchises they’re in its so magical.

I have to stop here now but im just about done talking about this anyway, my phone is starting to lag from my hyperfixation rambles. I’ve been writing this for 3 hours.

so, there are a couple of ways to go about this, but the truth of the matter is that if you've never been to therapy, or you're new to an area and are searching for a counselor, you may have to shop around a bit before you find the right fit. This can be emotionally taxing, so seeking out the right one will take some refining.

LCSW: Licensed Clinical Social Worker

DR is someone with a doctorate while MD is for Medical Doctor, and a Ph.D is someone with their doctorate of Philosophy - and all of these are people that are capable of obtaining certifications and licenses in a variety of counseling types, what it means to you is how much time this person has spent in school. In my experience, how much time a person has spent in school is not super indicative of how helpful they are, and it's much more informative to find out how many years they have spent in the field, and what their listed specialties are.

If you've been to counseling before, you may already be aware of what modes of therapy work best for you (Talk Therapy, DBT, CBT, EMDR, etc), but if you found Seeing Wolves to be comforting and that is the kind of therapy you're looking for, you will want to seek out a counselor that specializes in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy) and/or Trauma Focused Therapy.

I highly recommend seeing counselors that have at least 5 years in the field, and in particular, at least 5 years of training or experience in dealing with trauma focused therapy. You may see counselors listing years of experience in rehabilitation centers with people who have substance abuse disorders, or working with veterans in VA hospitals and such - these are good indicators that they are aware of, and well practiced in trauma-informed approaches of therapy, even if they aren't specifically licensed or advertised as that.

Remember that your initial meeting with a new counselor is about you sussing THEM out, to see if they're a good fit. It's okay if you don't click right away, or if the vibes are off and you're like 'hmm :T i think im gonna keep looking.'

When picking a counselor, read their bios and work histories - determine if their field work feels relevant to the skills you want in a counselor, and look out for red flags, like 'faith-based approaches' as this can either be PRECISELY what you're looking for, OR it can be extremely limiting and unhelpful if the faith they're basing their practice on is only one, specific faith that does not align with yours.

That's all the advice I can really give on this without knowing what you're specifically struggling with. If you feel comfortable divulging more to me, I can help you narrow down your search more, but I hope this is helpful!!

I'm back!

twitter is a dumpster fire, tumblr is my new(?old) home now

Some updates about this blog I used to only really used tumblr as my art archive, and almost never posted anything else. It was mainly because I had other social medias I was active on, plus my english used to suck, like, big time, so I never tried to interact with the community here or do anything with my account. i still suck i just got better at pretending to know what im saying. Now that twitter is going to shit, I'm thinking of making this place my main hub, so the blog is gonna become more of a personal blog with daily sillies rather than an art archive. Of course I'll still be posting my art, it's just that theres also gonna be me rambling about random shit, reblogging and messing with tags, instead of artworks only like before.

(4) Do you sleep on your back, stomach or side? diagonalish but mostly on my side. i alternate sides though in fact i used to sleep on my stomach until i read a newspaper article that said a plurality of ppl sleep on their side and then i got scared and completely changed the way i sleep in like 6th grade in case you somehow needed more evidence im autistic

(5) Do you sleep with a stuffed animal? blåhaj!! !!! !!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love her need to clean her though also i stream with my hello kitty velvet and i think that's kinda relevant

part 1: on reposting

1- if you're not sure if it's the original artist, just check their other posts to see if the styles match if you're still not sure, don't post it

2- 'all credits to the artist' doesn't mean anything bc people don't know who that 'artist' is

3- mentioning pinterest also doesn't mean much, pinterest didn't draw these artworks and everything there is mostly reposts

4- these twitter artists can't contact you because a) they don't have tumblr (they might not even know what tumblr is) b) they don't know english

majority of artists don't like their art reposted, in fact some of them stop posting entirely/lock their accs/delete all their art because people keep reposting against their wishes

if you really can't find the original artist then it's better not to post it at all and to keep it in your group of friends or something, when you post it on tumblr it'll just keep getting spread around, continuing the problem

a lot of artists will say if they allow reposts or not in their bio or in a profcard link etc and if they don't say reposts are allowed/not allowed, then don't repost it

you can use google translate or deepL if there's a language barrier

unfortunately reposting without permission IS discrediting, i hope you understand, i don't want wonderful artists to stop drawing wonderful art like this it's disheartening if ppl keep using your intellectual property without your permission especially when you said it's not allowed

Thank you @aliriien so much for teaching me this. I understand that i made a mistake that can discourage and dishearten the artists who truly spend so much effort and time into creating such beautiful arts. (∩_∩)

I apologize for this and i hope this mistake harmed anyone's feelings as i too do not want the wonderful artists to stop posting or getting discouraged to post because of my inconsiderate actions.

Next time i want to post anything, I'll be sure to credit the artists (only if they allow reposts) or else I'll refrain from posting.

I've said this before (and people may think I'm using this as an excuse) but im new to using such social medias and as such am not aware of rules and norms. So I'd be grateful if others can point my mistakes if i make them and guide me so i don't discourage others and come across as rude or anything like that.
