This gargantuan tome really gets it across that in 1997, you didn't have a fandom wiki or on demand viewing. If you didn't catch and record the episodes, a booklet like this becomes a critical tool for keeping track of everything that's happened up to now, and is also a way for the series creators to tap fans on the shoulder and draw attention to details they want seen but not explained in the show directly. For example, this drops at the close of the BRS, but points out Touga's sword isn't the same in Keiko's duel and in the opening sequence. A thing we don't see cashed in until MUCH later!

This has been a true and absurd labor of love on my part. I even rescanned the booklet from my originals because their quality (decades old lmao) was not worth scanlating. This took a ludicrous amount of time, and has been a main project of mine for over a year now!! I'm so happy to have gotten it done in time for the Something Eternal Watch-Along thread, and I really really hope everyone finds something cool and interesting about it! The really cool thing is this now completes the set of magazine supplementals by the big three magazines made for Utena during its run. Eddie misses Steve.

It's equal parts cute, and maybe a little pitiful because it's only three days in Chicago for his friend's Bachelor Party, but it's already been two days and he misses Steve. Eddie swipes to the next photo, one of Steve and Brandon holding their two biggest catches. Steve's sunglasses are sliding down his nose, no doubt from the sun warming his glistening skin, and he's smiling wide against the railing of a boat. As much as he misses him, Eddie can't help but mirror his smile. Call him lovesick or 'down bad', as Robin says, but seeing Steve happy makes him happy.

He continues swiping and reading the little blurb attached to each photo, some of which don't even include Steve but Eddie appreciates them all the same. They don't include Steve, but it feels a lot like Steve trying include Eddie in the weekend. The last picture is one of the entire group, all dozen or so guys lined up on the ship. Brandon stands in the center surrounded by the rest of the group with Steve shuffled in no meaningful spot but to Eddie, Steve is the center of every photo, every moment, everything.

Eddie starts to type a response when his phone dings again. This time, Steve sends a voice message and Eddie presses play so quickly, he nearly knocks poor Bandit off his lap.

Hey, takin' a break from cornhole. I won, by the way, had to make up for losing to Brandon in the fishing bet.

Steve laughs and Eddie's stomach flips. Robin's right. He's down very, very bad for this man.

But I just uh, I miss you, and I know maybe that's sorta lame but I do. The party's great and all, but I can't wait to get back home tomorrow. Tell the kid I said hi. I love you, Ed.

He replays it a few times and shamelessly taps Keep so it doesn't disappear before sending his own voice message.

You've been gone for the last two years, teaching English in South America. Tonight is your debut back into Floridian life. The second day when you got back into town, you ran into Santi while grocery shopping and he invited you over to his and Frankie’s place for a bonfire and cookout. You’d immediately asked if Benny was gonna be there and he gave you a knowing smirk and told you yes.

So here you are. Dressed up in a sky blue (Benny’s favorite color on you) sundress on a Saturday night in June. It’s a whopping 70 degrees and while you’re normally freezing cold in this kind of weather, you know that the bonfire will feel good. And maybe the arms of a certain blond southern boy. 

“There she is!” You hear Santi’s smooth voice as you walk around the back of the house from the side yard.

You give a smile to Santi and Frankie, greeting them with a hug. 

“You look good, sweetheart.” Frankie kisses you on the cheek. 

“Thank you.” You smile. “Where’s-”

“He’s on a beer run with Will… should be back any minute.” Santi winks. 

You roll your eyes and nod. “What happened? Drink it all?” 

Santi chuckles and grabs you a bottle out of the cooler, opening it for you. “Just getting low is all.”

You hum softly and look around at the back of the house. “House looks good, guys.”

“You wanna see the inside?” Frankie asks.

You nod eagerly and follow Frankie inside as Santi starts up the grill. As he leads you throughout the house, you look at the pictures hanging up and can’t help but smile. There are many of their families but there’s also pictures of their team. Or you suppose their second family. 

You stop to look at one photo sitting above the mantle in the living room. It’s familiar and brings back a sense of nostalgia. It’s a photo of you and Benny and Will. But you and Benny are passed out on the couch, longways with you on top of him. Or at least you’re passed out. Will is giving Benny what you’re pretty sure is a wet willy and Benny is smirking and flipping off the camera while his other arm remains around you. You’re completely oblivious to their tomfoolery and comfy in Benny’s arms. You have the same photo, which is now still packed away in some boxes that you’ve been too busy to unpack. 

You had grown up with Benny and Will, having been their neighbors since childhood. Your moms were friends and had always wanted the two of you to end up together. But he joined the army and left you behind. It had put a bit of a strain on your friendship for a bit. Until he came back. It was always as if no time had passed every time he came home. Eventually he introduced you to the guys and they all took a liking to you and became permanently invited to every holiday and gathering. A nice addition to their little family.

“He’s gonna be excited to see you. We haven’t told him.” Frankie smirks.

“He hates surprises.” You chuckle, scratching his scruff. “You need to shave.” 

“Yeah, yeah.” Frankie bats your hand away. “And don’t worry. He’ll like this surprise.” 

Frankie leads you upstairs to show you the guest bedrooms. As you walk into one of the bedrooms, you hear Benny’s low booming voice outside and you peek out the window, down into the backyard. 

He’s wearing his signature backwards green baseball cap, an open blue flannel with a white tee underneath, and well fitting jeans. Your chest tightens at the sight of him just as it always has. He turns up the radio of his truck and starts singing to his brother playfully. Will tosses a lawn chair over to him, cracking up. You can’t help but smile. 

“Come on, coriño.” Frankie nods for you to follow him. 

He leaves the room but you watch Benny for another moment, smiling to yourself. Unfortunately, the nerves still flutter about in your stomach. You’d not seen the man in two years. He looked the same mostly, but a little buffer, like he’d spent more time in the gym. You suppose he had to for his MMA stuff. Santi had told you he was a massive talent in Florida, traveling around the state doing it. 

You turn to go back down outside and find Frankie in the kitchen grabbing more stuff to grill. 

“You’re sure he’s going to want to see me?” You ask, softly before opening the back door.

“Trust me, he’s gonna shit himself.” Frankie teases.

“That’s not always a good thing, you know.” You sigh, making the older man laugh before you open the door and head out.

“Hey Frankie tell your husband-” Benny starts but stops when he sees that it’s you coming outside instead of Frankie.

He stops dead in his tracks, his lips parted with confusion. He murmurs your name and you slowly walk down the back porch steps toward the group which has all of a sudden gotten real quiet. Santi and Will both grin like dummies. 

“You- you’re home?” Benny asks in disbelief.

I nod. “I’m home.” 

As if time starts back up, he rushes to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and picking you up, spinning you around. His nose is buried in your neck and you can’t help but smile as your arms wrap around his neck.

He sets you back down but his arms don’t leave your body. “God, look at you.” 

Your insides go warm as you glance around at the guys who all look like they’re about to combust from not teasing. “Me? Look at you. You got huge.” 

You squeeze his biceps in a teasing manner, looking up into piercing blue eyes that you used to be able to get lost in. God, you missed him so much. 

As if he can read your mind, he pulls you into another hug. He’s still your best friend. 

“Two fuckin’ years, darlin’.” Benny shakes his head.

“I know… I know. I’m home, though.” You cup his face, scratching at the growing scruff.

He leans into your touch, covering your hand with his own bigger hand, as if he’s afraid to let you go. 

“Jesus… this dress…” Benny smirks, pulling back so he can look you up and down.

You go warm in the face. “You like it?” 

“Love it.” He hums. “Always loved this color on ya.”

“I know.” You smirk up at him, running your hands down to his chest.

“Yeah yeah, okay you guys can mack faces later.” Will pulls you away into a hug.

Benny starts to protest as Will smirks. 

“It’s good to see you too, Will.” You laugh softly and then pull away.

Benny immediately pulls you back into his side. As if it’s exactly where you belong. 

“I had no idea you were coming either.” Will grabs a beer and pops it open.

“That’s because you’re terrible at secrets, hermano.” Santi laughs, wrapping an arm around Frankie’s waist.

It’s true. Will can’t keep a secret to save his life.  

Benny leads you away from the guys and pulls the tailgate down on his truck. Before you can jump up to sit, Benny’s hands find your waist and give you a lift, making your dress scrunch up a bit. He leans against the tailgate on his forearm. His elbow rubs against your thigh and you go warm in the face. You take a drink, hoping that if he points it out, you can blame it on the alcohol or at least the fire.

When you look at him, his gaze is on your bare thigh and you playfully slug him. 

“Hey. Eyes up here, Benjamin Miller.” You tease.

“Easier said than done.” He mutters and you laugh.

It takes no time to get back into the swing of how things have always been with the two of you. Flirty and friendly. 

“I’ve really missed you, you know.” He turns to lean on both elbows, facing toward you as he rests his drink on the tailgate. 

You smile and take his hat. “I know. I missed you too.” 

He tries to take the hat back but you pull it behind you so that when he reaches for it, you run your hands through his hair.

“Your hair is longer.” You notice.

He hums softly, closing his eyes as he leans into your touch. “Can’t decide if I should keep it or cut it.”

“I like it this way.” You murmur. 

He opens his eyes and you’re met with ocean eyes as he leans his hands on both sides of your body on the tailgate. Your thighs spread automatically as he makes himself comfy between them.

“Yeah?” He smirks.

“Yeah.” You grin, glancing down at his lips.

His own eyes make their way to your lips and you tilt your head, wondering if this would be the moment he finally kisses you. The warmth of the fire and the soft country music surrounds the two of you comfortably and you rest your forehead against his.

“Come home with me tonight…” He murmurs, nudging your nose with his own as his finger traces a lazy pattern on your thigh. 

“Yeah, okay.” You nod.

You nearly beg him to take you up to one of the guest rooms, but you figure that would be impolite to Frankie and Santi. 

All of a sudden, you’re snapped out of the moment with Benny as Frankie calls over to you guys. 

“Food’s ready!”

Benny sighs, clearly annoyed but smiles at you regardless and calls back over to Frankie as he takes the hat and puts it back on, backwards. “Okay, thanks!”

You smile up at him and start to hop off the tailgate but he stops you.

“Let me help ya, darlin’.” He smirks, his hands finding your waist to help you down.

“You don’t have to-” You go warm in the face again at the pet name and his hands on you.

The urge to grab him and pull him into the truck so you can have your way with each other is too strong right now. The guys be damned. 

“Can’t seem to keep my hands to myself…” He murmurs, his hand finding your lower back as he guides you over to where the guys are sitting down to eat. 

“I’m not complaining.” You murmur to him.

He grins to himself at the same time that you grin to yourself. You sit between Benny and Frankie as you all eat, Benny’s arm never leaving the back of your chair. 

They all end up asking you a million questions about Rio, your job there, and if you’re excited for your new job at the high school in town, teaching Spanish.

“If you ever need pointers, just ask me and Fish.” Santi teases.

You laugh and then start speaking in Spanish to each other. Benny’s eyes can’t seem to leave you, which is noticed by everyone. Even you. You lean into him like it’s just the most natural thing in the world. It truly feels like no time has passed at all. 

They start catching you up on their lives. Frankie and Santi are about to go on vacation to the Maldives. Will’s dating one of your soon to be coworkers. And Benny’s just been doing his MMA stuff. They tell you about Tom’s incident on a mission gone wrong and how the money they’d been able to get had gone to his family. You had heard from your mom that he had passed but she didn’t know much more than that. “I’m so sorry guys. Are the girls and Molly okay?” You ask, leaning closer into the crook of Benny’s arm.

“They’re doing better. It’s been what, a year?” Will asks Santi.

Santi nods and then the conversation starts to turn brighter when Will says he’s planning on asking his girlfriend to marry him. Everyone gets excited. As you lean forward to squeeze his hand, Benny’s arm slides down to your waist and his hand settles around your ass. You let out a small gasp that only he hears. 

“Let’s get out of here, yeah?” He whispers in your ear as the other three start talking amongst themselves. 

You nod. “Yes please.” 

He grins and then stands up. You follow suit and everyone immediately starts smirking at the two of you. 

“I’m gonna make sure she gets home safe.” Benny says and you can see the hope in his eyes that the guys aren’t going to give you guys shit.

But unfortunately, that’s not their style.

“Oh sure.” Frankie smirks knowingly.

“Get her home… so safe.” Santi’s smirk matches his husband’s as he winks.

“Use a condom.” Will just grins and your eyes go wide and your face goes hot. 

“Oh Jesus Christ.” Benny says, starting to pull you away from the table. 

“Safe sex is no joking matter, Benjamin.” Santi teases. 

“Nah, I think we’re gonna go raw.” You roll your eyes. “Thanks for the concern though.” 

All three guys burst out laughing at the same time that Benny gives you a proud look, his cheeks pink from being flustered by your choice of words. You and Benny make your way to his truck as the guys all continue to tease you from across the yard. Benny slams the tailgate and then opens the passenger side door for you, flipping them off as he closes the door.

When he gets in, he rolls the windows up and looks at you for a moment, smiling. “Hi.”

“Hey there.” You hold your hand out for his and he looks down at it for a moment before intertwining his fingers with yours.

He brings your hand up to his lips. “Did I tell you how much I missed you?” 

You laugh softly as he pulls out of Santi and Frankie’s backyard and onto the street. “I think you did but I don’t mind hearing it again.” 

“I missed you so fuckin’ much, darlin’.” He squeezes your hand.

You push the center console up to turn the front seats into one and slide into the middle, next to Benny. 

“Better?” You ask as you buckle the middle seatbelt.

His hand falls to your thigh like it absolutely belongs there. “Much. Thank you.” 

When the two of you were in high school, and you were out with Will, you’d sit in the middle of the two of them in their truck. Benny’s arm would always be around you, resting on the back of the seat. It was truly no wonder everyone and their mother thought the two of you were together.

“Reminds me of old times.” You rest your head on his shoulder as you wrap your right hand around his bicep as he drives toward his place. 

He hums in agreement. “God, I had such a crush on you back then. I’m so dumb for not telling you sooner. Especially since I could’ve been touching you like this the whole time…” 

“Well… yeah… but I could’ve also said something.” You laugh.

“I mean… it felt like everyone knew the two of us… belonged to each other, in a way?” He glances at you with a wide grin that makes your chest tighten. 

You nod in agreement. “Since day one.” 

“Since day one.” He nods. “And until the last day.” 

Your breath catches in your throat. It’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to you. 

A country song plays on the radio and you’re pretty sure it’s Luke Bryan but you can’t be sure. Benny sings along to it, making your insides warm and you can’t seem to look away. 

“What song is this?”

“‘I Don’t Want This Night to End’ by Luke Bryan.” He tells you, smiling while removing his hand from your thigh and putting his arm around you on the back of the seat like he used to. 

“Appropriate.” You smile, settling into the crook of his arm comfortably and he continues to practically serenade you. 

When you finally get to Benny’s house, the same place he’s lived since he got home permanently, he puts the truck into park on the street in front of the house. He had taken you house hunting with him when he got home from his last tour, wanting your “female perspective”. At the time, you thought maybe he was taking you with him to pop the girlfriend question but it never happened and you tried to move past it.

“Sorry, I’ve been waiting almost 20 years for this.” He says and before you can ask what he means, his hand finds the back of your head and pulls you in to plant his lips against yours. He tastes a bit like beer but it’s not that big of a deal, you’re just happy to have his lips against yours finally. 

Butterflies move from your stomach, down south, and then all throughout your body. You unclick your seatbelt, he unclicks his, and you climb into his lap, straddling him. Neither of your lips break apart in the move. He groans against you as his hands travel down to your ass, squeezing perfectly so that you whimper into the kiss. 

“Couldn’t wait til we got inside… I’m sorry, babygirl…” He rasps as his lips travel to your neck. “Well… only kinda sorry.” 

You laugh breathlessly. “I was about to say… don’t be sorry… I couldn’t wait either.”

He peppers kisses all the way down to your collarbone as he talks. “Wanted to take you up to one of those nice guest rooms at Frankie and Santi’s…” 

“The thought crossed my mind.” You hum softly. 

“Yeah?” He hums as he continues to suck a mark into the crook of your neck and shoulder. 

“Yeah.” You moan, breathlessly, grinding against him so that your dress slides up around your waist a bit.

He groans softly, squeezing you roughly. “Good to know we still share a brain just like we always have.” 

It’s true. The two of you have always been so in tune with each other, you could never imagine having this with anyone else. 

“Is that brain of yours thinking what I’m thinking?” You ask, nodding toward his house.

“Hell yeah, darlin’.” He brings his lips to yours again but doesn’t make a move to get out. You tilt your head curiously, not sure what he’s thinking right this second.

“What is it?”

“You’re so fucking beautiful.” He looks up at you as if you hung the stars and moon yourself.

Heat courses through your veins for him and you lean your forehead against his. 

“I mean it, babygirl… you have always been it for me. This is what I’ve been waiting my whole life for.” He cups your face, looking into your eyes. Searching, to make you understand the seriousness of what he’s saying. “I love you. With my entire heart and soul, which belong to you. Always have, always will.”

A lump forms in your throat and you can’t help but crush your lips to his, a soft cry escaping against the kiss. 

“Oh darlin’, what-”

“Ugh. Sorry.” You wipe your eyes, trying to not wipe your mascara. “I’ve just… I’ve been waiting for this too… And I feel like we wasted so much time being apart…” 

He nods, understanding. “Well… we’re together now… right?” 

You grin, nodding, and he wipes a few more stray tears from the corners of your eyes and cheeks, still looking at you like you’re some sort of celestial being he would gladly get down on his hands and knees and worship. The way he’s always looked at you…

“What do you say… we go inside and I can try to make up for lost time?” He offers, his low voice going straight to your warmth.

“Yes please.” You give him a sweet smile and he kisses you again before you climb out of his lap and head up to the house, hand in hand, finally heading toward the future you’ve been waiting your whole life for.

GMMTV 2025 trailer reviews

as usual and because I'm getting some asks, here are some initial thoughts on the trailers from today (in order of release, BL/GLs are marked with a 🏳️‍🌈, favorites with a 🌟):

Dare You to Death 🏳️‍🌈: Strong start!! I did not expect JoongDunk to make another comeback but I didn't expect that from any the other pairs either and yet here we are lol. This looks interesting, I'm digging the MOD vibes and I'm charmed by inspector!Dunk lol. I also like how the romance doesn't seem to be the main focus. I'm not always a murder mystery fan but if the script is good then I'm into it. and I am very intrigued by this! .

Head 2 Head 🏳️‍🌈: I was praying for a more interesting story for SeaKeen's second project and my prayers were heard. Trailers can be deceiving and I don't know how it will all turn out but this looks pretty good to me. New being the director is not something I would have guessed, it looks like he's branching out afterall. the Bad Buddy/rivalry vibes fit them better than the one-sided flirting in Only Boo imo and the future visions/foretelling trope intrigues me as well. I'm sad we're not getting RyuJava as the side couple as they both have different partners in this lineup but it's okay. This might be the first time where I'm certain that I will tune in for a New show lol. Well done! .

Burnout Syndrome 🏳️‍🌈🌟: FIRST HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT!!!!! This looks absolutely BOMB I'm so obsessed lmao. I followed my personal annual ritual of saying I don't want another OffGun show and then ending up being captivated by the trailer lmao. I don't wanna compare this to any of their previous shows though because for one Nuchy is the director which is amazing and also Dew is part of it lol? He is the last one I expected in a show like this, let alone a bl lol. He always kept his safe distance so this is a surprise lol. Him making his bl debut alongside OffGun is risky however, especially since his acting is not exactly oscar-worthy so I hope he works on that. But all in all this excites me a huge amount. also lowkey hoping they keep the soundtrack bc it's fire lol. Super hyped for this one!!!!! 🧡 .

I Love A Lot of You: This is one of the 2 lakorns in the bunch and I feel bad but it didn't intrigue me at all. The schizophrenic plot seems strange and I'm not feeling a spark between the characters. Good for Nanon for making his comeback though plus good for the 4EVE members for breaking into the acting business lol. .

Whale Store xoxo 🏳️‍🌈: This looks cute!!!!! I can already tell that Maewnam is a more likable character than Sun in 23.5 lol and I feel like this is a step-up for MilkLove, even if not a big one. The plot seems light and easy but I'm okay with that as long as it's not high school. I'm also excited to see June again, it's sad that ViewJune is over but Mewnich is an excellent addition imo. I loved her in Mission Fan-Possible so I'm pretty excited for this! .

Only Friends: Dream On 🏳️‍🌈: WELL WELL WELL. What do we have here 😭 The trailer was definitely overstimulating me lmao, I'm still not sure what exactly is going on, I had to watch it 5 times to even grasp anything. I remember Mix teasing Jojo at the end of Only Friends that he wants to be part of a sequel which was played off as a joke back then but boy did they fool us lmao. Never in a billion years would I have expected this to actually happen. I'm not a fan of second seasons, though I'm not sure if we can count this as such? It's more of a spinoff. Still something they have never done before so this is interesting. OhmLeng and JossGawin joining EarthMix is an interesting choice but very welcome. JossGawin getting a second gig before their first one even aired is giving big d*** energy lmao but good for them!!! I knew OhmLeng would get another show and my guess was that they'd be part of an ensemble so yay I was right lol. The plot - in old OF tradition - looks messy as hell and since Ninew is directing, I'm expecting a similar energy throughout the show. Not sure how I feel about Boston being there though. He was my least favorite in OF. But we shall see. I'm loving the Romeo + Juliet theme though which I'm 100% sure is Jojo's doing lol. What can I say. I'm ready for another messy clusterfuck. Bring it. .

That Summer 🏳️‍🌈: I'm happy to see that WinnySatang are getting their own show, about time!! I hope Winny works on his acting a little bit because I didn't love his performance in We Are. Satang is still out-acting him so I hope that changes. Satang being a prince is my favorite part of it all like Damn right he is lol. I love him. Ryu and Mond as the side cp is interesting and I'm always up for a good soft beach-lovestory. Also Jojo is behind it so obviously I will tune in. .

My Romance Scammer 🏳️‍🌈: Tbh I keep forgetting that Ohm Thitiwat is with Gmmtv since he hasn't really been participating in anything since he joined lol. But it's nice that he's debuting now and the fact that he's paired with yet another Fluke makes it so much better lmao. I like their energy together so this could be good. I'm not a big fan of JuniorMark, it looks a bit chaotic plus New is directing so I will be on guard lol but I'm putting it on my list nonetheless. .

Melody of Secrets 🏳️‍🌈: ForceBook are trying hard to break out of their previous roles and I appreciate that but unfortunately it's not working. at least not for me. I like them as people but as actors they have never struck a chord in me and never will. All their characters are the same to me. But people have different opinions. Good for them for trying out a different genre but the plot confuses me and I'm not hooked so I'm likely skipping this one. .

Love You Teacher 🏳️‍🌈: OY, we got a weird one on our hands lol. They had me in the first half of the trailer, PerthSanta have a decent chemistry and the teacher theme is cute. but then... Santa wakes up... as a....7 yr old???? lots of things not sitting right with me about this lol. Santa has a juvenile acting style which is not necessarily a bad thing but did they really have to take it that far lol. Not sure how this will turn out, it could go either way. I just wish they hadn't added the line "if he'll be a kid forever could you still love him even though you hate kids?" bc uhm... nah. idk I'm gonna tune in though and see how it goes. .

MU-TE-LUV (mixed): Yay this looks interesting!!!! I was hoping for another multi-plot show since they haven't done one of those in a while. And this has definitely sparked my interest. The stories are very different, I like the pairs, it's nice that OhmLeng and SeaKeen are part of it as well, plus the drag group looks like they're gonna be a lot of fun. Reminds me of the old gmmtv days. I'm in!!! .

Cat For Cash 🏳️‍🌈🌟: It took me a while to gather my thoughts for this and my initial reaction was what in the feverdream am I looking at, but after watching it a few times I see it a little differently. Anyone who follows FK knows they were never the ones to conform to the big crowds, they don't accept roles just for the heck of it; they move around in their little bubble and only do something if they're 100% behind it, no matter what genre. Which is why I trust them with any project they do, as with this one. They have expressed that they wanted to move away from the heavier plots in the future, which doesn't mean they were forced into anything, but a project like this feels like they get to relax a little after being on the grind for the last 2 years lol. They said they wanted to do something silly and fun and now they get it. It's small and lighthearted with an admittedly very silly plot and yes it might flop but to hell with it. They seem excited about it and that's all I care about. They got the show they wanted so I consider every part about this a win ✌🏻 .

Girl Rules 🏳️‍🌈🌟: ON MY KNEES for this one ohmygod 😭 I can't believe Jojo finally gets to do his messy GL that hes been talking about for so long lol and the cast is absolutely DIVINE. Not only did I not expect NamtanFilm to get another gig right away but I did not expect MilkLove to go raunchy so fast lmao. But ohmygod I'm SO seated. We got the mix & match in the good ol' Jojo fashion and everything that comes with it. Everything about this is up my alley. Sign me up. .

Boys In Love 🏳️‍🌈: This seems basic but it's nice to see some new faces. Mick finally gets to debut, plus I'm pleased that I was right about ChokunAston lol. PoddPapang were not hiding anything so they didn't come as a surprise, still I wish we had gotten them as mains. I'll still take it though. Considering that this is the annual newbie-show, it doesn't look too bad. I'll tune in. .

My Magic Prophecy 🏳️‍🌈: This is a big surprise for me, not because of the plot but because of JimmySea lol. After Jimmy said he will go abroad next year and he doesn't know if he will have projects etc., I took that as a confirmation for no JS series in 2025. Now I don't know if this will actually air in 2025 or if it will be pushed into 2026 but yeah I did not see this coming at all. JimmySea going back to their fantasy roots with this one, Sea is continuing his theme of seeing things he's not supposed to lol, I just hope it won't be too similar to Last Twilight. Not plot-wise but acting- and character-wise. Sea's acting is always excellent but Jimmy's characters all blend together as his acting stagnates a bit. But it's too soon to tell. It's going on my watchlist! .

A Dog And A Plane 🏳️‍🌈🌟: Speaking of surprises, this is another one lmao. Like how are we getting the third TayNew series in a row?? Insane. I usually expect the worst so I thought of Peaceful Property as their last joint project for a while. But apparently they never thought of quitting and it looks like I'm getting another comfort show 🥺 I have a ton of respect for them as actors, I was so impressed by their performances in Cherry Magic and Peaceful Property so ofc I'm super excited about this one. Newie as a flight attendant dating the plane Captain and Tay as a paramedic? They did that just for me. I love it. I also can't wait to see MarcPoon again!! Finally they're getting different roles. Plus it is yet another Jojo project so we're in good hands. .

Me And Thee 🏳️‍🌈: We're continuing the theme of "I never thought this couple would get another show together" but that's what the whole point of "riding the wave" seems to be about. But anyway. PondPhuwin usually go for whatever the fans want so I'm sure this will blow up just the right way. The story seems fun, though I'm a bit fed up of the mafia theme. But for now it's just a trailer. I might tune in. .

WU: I'm very confused by this, the trailer gave us no information, all I know is SkyNani are still going strong in the bromance/borderline bl department so good for them I guess lol. I can't really say anything else about this since we don't know much and haven't seen much except for some long stares and another red thread reference. I'm not saying everything should be bl but HSF is already queerbaiting and it looks like this one will follow that lead so I'm not too thrilled about it. No idea what this bromance-hype is all about, I really don't get it. but oh well. .

Memoir of Rati 🏳️‍🌈: This one has really nice visuals and an interesting plot, my only concern is GreatInn as Wandee was a disaster but I want to believe that was due to the bad script. I think they could redeem themselves with this. The genre, characters and costumes seem very fitting for them and AouBoom are also a nice addition. I was expecting them to get their own show but so be it. It is also Gmmtv's first period BL which is exciting. And it looks so pretty!! The French irritates me a bit but whatever lol. It's going on my list. .

Ticket To Heaven 🏳️‍🌈🌟: We have arrived at the last highlight of the night and my goodness. What a treasure they kept for the end. I can't remember the last time I was this captivated by a trailer, I felt this in ever fiber of my body. The visuals are outstanding and the production of the trailer alone is insane. I don't want to say anything wrong but the theme of Catholicism in association with guilt, faith and sexuality in particular is not something I would have ever associated with Gmmtv. I have seen mostly Western productions like Skam tackle stories about spirituality and sexuality and unorthodox bl productions tackle themes of sexual awakening and self doubt so I consider undertaking this kind of narrative in the mainstream Thai media environment as quite bold. Not that these issues are any less real there but it's uncommon, and translating them into cinematic context adds an extra layer of intricacies. So this is a risky production but this trailer gave me full-body chills so I'm very much looking forward to it. GemFourth are not my favorite actors sadly but if they get this right, they could easily redeem themselves. This is a clear highlight for me. .

Conclusion: This lineup has been full of surprises but in the best way possible. When they announced "Riding The Wave" as the tagline for the event and after Tha gave the speech about the company's ambition to go for what's popular, I was worried that the quantity would once again drown out the quality. And I know these are just trailers and we have made the experience that even the best trailer can have the most frustrating outcome but to me today's announcements all look very promising. I liked some more than others but objectively speaking, if they put the same effort into the actual productions as they did with those trailers, then we're in for one hell of a year lol. I'm keeping a positive mindset about everything, I'm thrilled about most announcements, my personal highlights for now are Burnout Syndrome, Cat For Cash, Girl Rules, A Dog And A Plane and Ticket To Heaven. This is the first lineup that has almost no lakorns as 18 of 20 productions are lgbt-themed. Almost all fixed couples are coming back with the addition of a few new ones which I like. And we got a few unexpected combinations which I am always a big fan of lol. Personally I can see the ambition and aspiration in everything and I am eager to see what they make of it. I'm expecting about half of these shows to be pushed into 2026 and since they usually air the shows in the same order they announced them in, that will most likely be the second half of the lineup.

With the FTIYS results going to be the big blast at the end of the year, thought I'd post my Art Year in Review today!

Imma be honest, I am so suprised how much I drew this year. With me starting my first full time job plus celebrating and therefore working for my music group's anniversary, I thought I'd neither have the time, energy nor motivation to draw a bunch. Glad to see I proved myself wrong lmao.

Gotta hand it to Haikaveh for having a chokehold on me for HALF A YEAR. That is so long for me. But come June it seems my brain couldnt properly latch onto anything. Well, MH Wilds is coming in February, soooo, I have a feeling next year is gonna have a MH phase XD

Also a big suprise is the many animations/vids I did this year. Last year was pretty comic heavy, which was the case this year too, even if most never got posted, but to think I would make a, for my standards, proper 2:30 minutes long video, never would have guessed. I also probably made my best animatic yet. While the Harpy Hare animatic is my pride and joy of this year, I gotta hand it to the UT video for getting the best comments Ive ever gotten. To this day, I still get so many "How dare you?!" and "Ouch, didnt need you to break my heart." Not to mention how often Ive been uninvited from UT themed birthday parties.

All in all, I did not really make many improvements, but I think i took it a bit easier this year and through that found some new techniques and brush settings that make work a lot easier now.

Aaaanyways, lets see what 2025 is gonna bring!
