Forget Streaming, Return to Winamp

I hear some of you are getting a little tired of the streaming service gauntlet! Did you know you can play mp3s with Winamp 5.6x, a very old program that plays songs perfectly fine from your PC, where your songs should be? (Newer versions add bullshit, you can decide whether you want that, but you don't.)

Did you know I made several really fucking good Utena Winamp skins? That aren't even on the website anymore because I broke the Multimedia section trying to make it easier to update in 2009? They might even be older than you, dear reader. I show my work hunting through my own website for shit I just forgot was there in a thread on Something Eternal, but if you just want the sauce:

Pictured in the order I made them, the first four are AT LEAST as old as April 2002. The last three were made in 2006 and 2007. All of them are in this 2mb ZIP, a comically small file for content I spent a small fortune hosting back when 2mb was a fucking massive amount of data, lmaaaao.

Unfortunately, no!! I would be more than happy to subtitle the video should anyone make a translation, though! The cast call at the of the first show is one of my favorite parts of it, too, so I definitely would love to have this as well!!

That's right, the time has come to make the master digitized copies of the production artwork of Revolutionary Girl Utena, via insane scans of the massive two volume Hardcore of UTENA artbook.

Because of how the forum software works, I'll be going in reverse order through the books, which means we start with the movie artwork. This is artwork I do have on the gallery, via the original scans Rushita made of the swap cards they're printed on. But those had frames, and these? Clean. Beautiful. Some of that is their work, and a lot of it is mine. This will be a slow process. If you like it, consider supporting our efforts, or just coming to hang out with us on our forum, Something Eternal! There you will find an incredible ongoing archive of Utena magazine clippings and artbooks, as well as our scanlated Utena books! Yeah, it's like, plural now.

The 'master' copies of these scans are 10k pixels wide, and will eventually be on the Internet Archive. The uploaded copies are 6k. That's also an insane size. I'm adding this because I had to resize the 'smaller' copies even more to get Tumblr to take them.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX writer Yoji Enokido's commentary from the two Revolutionary Girl Utena script books for the episodes of Utena that he wrote....TRANSLATED.

We sent these two 1998 script books, The Rose Bride and The Rose Crest, to Nagumo, who confirmed there are indeed deviations in the published scripts compared to the final result...so I guess that's these puppies on the scanner chopping block! But in the meantime, the episode commentaries themselves have been translated, as always, by our friend Nagumo, with Ayu Ohseki editing!
