Happy Halloween and Wei Wuxian day!

#better drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #lan wangji #digital art #I'm trying to practice digital art more - initially wasn't going to draw anything for today....I simply couldn't rest until I *did*.#I'm starting to get the hang of it !#I find traditional *much* easier especially with colouring. It still feels very...off to me.#The noise filter helps retain some of the texture I find digital lacks! More experimentation needed though.#Original draft for their costumes was 'Groom of Hanguang-jun' and 'Bride of The Yiling Lazou'.#Y'know; like those 'bride of Frankenstein' and 'Frankenstein's monster' sort of couple costumes.#Their costumes now are 'Well educated lady with land someone wants (and it's the 1600s)' and 'Werebunny'.#Every costume wwx ever puts on has a full backstory and lore to it. Even if its just a hat and fake mustache.#Okay I'm on break NOW. I will return when my long comic is done.

anyway i think the overcomplication of queer labels has really done a disservice to younger (or newly discovered) queer folks trying to figure themselves out. you dont need to know every aspect and detail or your sexuality, gender, preference, etc. sometimes you just gotta let things happen and you’ll figure it out as you go. you may never have a word for it and that’s okay.

#radio rambles #world is your oyster n all that #to clarify when i say overcomplication i dont mean the fact that there are. so so many labels to pick from #i mean moreso that ppl are insistent on the rules and limits of those labels that you dont leave any wiggle room for experimentation #but there SHOULD be wiggle room. people are complicated #and i think the insistence ive seen so often on the ‘meaning’ of a label intimidates people out of trying #and. and. its okay to decide you dont want something #and dont like something #thats the point of trying it out #or even considering it #anyways. im keepinng it vague because i am talking about so many different aspects at once but #i hope this makes sense #ty pepper u are my buddy to ramble at #queer thoughts #<- talk tag ig. in case i wish to return

drawing cartman as bad irene made me rewatch W.T.F. and then obviously i had to draw smth for it because it's unironically peak south park to me...the boys get along with each other and do a silly project, matt and trey make fun of something sociocultural without getting annoyingly preachy, a stupid silly song gets sung, cartman dresses up as a girl, cartman gets the other boys to fight over him, cartman walks round in his bald cap and makeup... 10/10, no notes
