Thirteen loves freedom. Her symbol is a butterfly which also represents freedom. She speaks her own mind, dresses her own style, lives on her own terms and rather spend time alone so others aren’t a problem.

MC in contrast who felt as if they’ve lost their freedom. Who felt burden ever since S2 (ironically Thirteen's first unnamed mention the lesson before the disaster) and since then were bound by duty to hone their sorcerer skills to protect the human/ 3 realms.

They'd caused damage to it. If they don't work hard to atone and protect the 3 realms they should have been the one stabbed instead

By S4 they were essentially blackmailed into joining the student council and since then worried about contributing with council duties, appearances, demons and their opinions on a human in power, nobles convincing Diavolo the human is a threat, RAD students protesting, Sorcerer’s Society who don’t trust them, all while still keeping up with Solomon's classes, continuing to improve their magic, keeping up with RAD classes and homework, and fitting in as the good human who brings everyone together, spending time with their— when was the last time they've spent time with their friends and loved ones? Once you think about their situation returning from the NB timeline it gets even worse. They still have to figure out what happened and who Nightbringer is, all while MC’s powers spiked up and were then tested by the ones they trusted and while there’s clearly tension between the 3 species & realms.

And then there’s Thirteen.

Thirteen exists outside it all. A reaper who isn’t bound to the Devildom, Celestial Realm, or Human World. She’s also said to be different from other reapers and operate her own way. She’ll only ever involve herself if it interests her —which mainly includes you— but otherwise she doesn’t care for the most part.

MC somehow makes enough time to spend with Thirteen at times in a cafe or walk around shopping helping her find new trap materials. Thirteen doesn’t ask anything from MC except their presence (and compliment her traps, of course). MC doesn’t feel like a threat, burden, or see expectations laid out for them. Even with all her chaos and unpredictability, it somehow brings a sense of comfort. Anyone else would question whether you’re right in the head for that. But with Thirteen MC feels something they don’t feel often anymore: Freedom. They admire her sense of freedom and relish in theirs when they have time to spare with Thirteen. It won’t break them free or entirely unbound, but it makes them feel less trapped. Less alone. They’re not alone.

Some thoughts about room temperature at NRC Dorms (Diasomnia specifically)

First things first - yes, there's magic and fairies who control the temperature of NRC (as mentioned during the Fairy Gala event). But still, I want to talk about the Diasomnia rooms, because they look cold.

Let's start with Sebek's room (who else's)

His room makes me particularly worried, especially since we know he's sensitive to cold.

The walls are cold stone, and the floor seems to be either stone or tile - definitely not warm and cozy.

The carpet looks rather thin, and the space between the wardrobe and the bed is bare. I really hope Sebek wears slippers!!

There doesn't seem to be a carpet under the desk, but since it's located close to the larger carpet, maybe Sebek keeps his feet on that? or I still hope he wears slippers....

The headboard of the bed? I hope it's not leather - it's far from the warmest material for a bed.

The ceiling is quite high, which is not ideal for keeping warmth in the room.

I also hope the window glass isn't thin, otherwise it would let in cold drafts (if there are any in Diasomnia dorm realm??)

And about the training bench in his room? Sure, it's there because Sebek trains a lot, but maybe it's also a way to warm up in such a cold room....

At least one thing warms his heart - Waka-sama's portrait.

Now, Silver's room

The same cold stone walls and floor. Silver doesn't seem to mind the cold as much though - due to his training, of course.

The carpet in his room is small and thin and there's no carpet under the desk. But does he even mind? How much time does he actually spend at the desk studying anyway?...

The wardrobe is farther from the bed compared to Sebek's room. And I can imagine Silver walking to it barefoot, absolutely unfazed (I need to know more about Silver's dressing routine, how often does he fall asleep while getting dressed, etc...)

His bed is placed right against the wall with no extra layers for insulation. Which is cold!!!

And of course, there's the open window. I was already concerned about Sebek's glass thickness, but Silver's window is just wide open omg.

Clearly, Silver is very resilient to the cold. Good for him?... They also say you sleep better in a cool room, so it only adds to his sleepiness?...

Now to Lilia's room

Same walls, same floor. The carpet here feels purely decorative - it's so small and there's no carpet under the desk. However, I imagine Lilia's legs rarely touch the floor anyway (that's how I picture him sitting while on his PC )

The wardrobe is the farthest from the bed in this room, but again, he probably just floats to reach it.

The window is closed here. I was going to comment on how inconvenient it is to have sunlight hitting your face while using a computer/any gadget with screen, but let's be real, there are probably no sunny days in the Diasomnia realm, so it doesn't matter.

There's is also chandelier in Lilia's room (though I assume all 3rd years' rooms are the same?). The chandelier has lots of candles, but they likely emit light through magic rather than heat.

Another detail - Lilia's pillow is quite small. He probably rarely uses it, sleeping in the most bizarre positions (like hanging upside down bat-style).

And to Malleus' room

It has the same cold walls and flooring as the others but feels much more empty and lonely. Most likely, of course, it was intentional to reflect Malleus' character, but still.

The nightstand is empty - not even a book or a personal item.

On the desk, there are only two items: a figurine (which is a nod to Sleeping Beauty) and a three-candle candlestick. The number three might be symbolic, but it also just looks good, so who knows.

Like Lilia's room, Malleus' room also has a chandelier. Is it significant to fae culture? But most likely just for the Maleficent aesthetic.

The only "warm" elements in the room are the tapestry/flags - cherished gifts from a certain important person in his life.

It feels unnecessary to comment on the space between his wardrobe or the lack of a carpet under his desk since Malleus likely doesn't bother with changing clothes manually or sitting at his desk to study anyway.

His bed has two big pillows and one small - likely the one Malleus mentioned using to support his horns while sleeping. (No spoilers, but the 2024 Halloween event gave us some info about how Malleus sleeps lol)

Also, they are obviously provided with the bedsheets by the dorm, but I assume it's allowed to bring your own. We see Lilia getting creative, Malleus clearly has some royal-quality sheets, and Sebek's are the cutest - baby green, but quite plain (so nothing can distract him from being the perfect guard for Waka-sama). And I assume Silver doesn't care at all, and just uses the basic dorm sheets. Feel free to add your thoughts.

what was the point of lila thinking home was a feeling she didn't deserve and could never earn until she found diego. what was the point of them finding deep, meaningful love in each other. what was the point of lila opening her heart and confessing that all she really wanted was a family with him.

what was the point of developing diego and lila over two seasons, creating such a beautiful, chaotic bond, just to destroy it for no reason.

tbh I don’t think therapy would have fixed Jayce and Viktor lmao. maybe would have softened their self-destructive tendencies but there’s no fixing that co-dependent relationship. Heimerdinger Mel and Sky are told “yeah, I can help treat their individual depressions but nothing is gonna reduce their co-dependency. I’m pretty sure separating them makes it a lot worse for not only them but much worse for everyone else. for everyone’s safety I suggest they’re not allowed to be more than a buildings length away from each other and even that is pushing it.” That therapist then quits on the spot cause now they’ve literally seen everything.

It’s like that scene in Brooklyn nine nine where all the physiatrists are observing and talking with Gina but instead it’s a whole crew of therapists and neurologists and physiologists trying to find out how these two men literally mind-melded together. They go to couples therapy but it’s literally just individual therapy held together because why tf not it’s the only way to get them to go.

It’s so frustrating that Bruno being a victim of the mafia, specifically Diavolo, is not only an integral part of the story but literally told to us in words, yet every analysis I see either doesn’t mention this at all or barely mentions it. And neither do any “sad Bruno facts” posts.

The plot is literally built on the “relationship” between Diavolo and Bruno. Without it, the story we have now wouldn’t happen. Even if they never actually talk until Bruno betrays him, there’s clear history. It’s a fact in his backstory that he only joined because the mafia was the only place willing to protect him and his father. He was told that no drugs were being sold when in reality he was being lied to and manipulated. He wasn’t just saying “you abuse the innocent and unknowing” randomly, that would make no sense. He’s clearly talking about Trish and himself.

Him betraying Diavolo was never just about Trish, it was a build up of being used and unable to do anything about it as well as finally having someone(Giorno) by his side that gave him the courage to follow his own path and not let someone else control it. Speaking of which, the people who dumb his betrayal down to just “Drugs and Trish” somehow always miss how Diavolo was the cause of both reasons. So no matter how you look at it, Diavolo is the main cause of of Bruno’s hardships and Bruno very clearly blames him for everything.

And just for a quick reminder because I wasn’t really sure how to organically include this, but Bruno’s trust was taken advantage of three times by Diavolo. Once for the entirety of his teen hood right up until he figured out the truth about the drugs, twice for the entire mission with Trish, and then later on a third time when Diavolo instructs Doppio to pretend to be Trish during Bruno’s most vulnerable moment to trick him into taking them into the colosseum. Bruno is point blank a victim of Diavolo.

crazy ex! jake who threatens to blackmail you by posting the nudes you sent to him when you were dating him. he started posting snippets of the home movies both of you made at his cf stories and some cropped nudes of yours but really there was no other viewers other than you. he would never let any of his friends see the beauty of his woman but he basked in the fear he inflicted on you that made you docile enough for him to control like his puppet until you said yes to take him back.

sure we see bkdk interact more, but what was broadcasted for public? tdbk. sports festival (both the first and the third parts have theirs interactions) (yeah, perfect enemies-to-lovers trop), little competition at i-island, their extra classes, them capturing a villain after getting licences and their interview after (although katsuki is cut out from the entire thing, viewers must know he's there and shouto responds that they are friends). there's also their concert, tdbk don't interact, but at this point shipping seed has already been sown, so it already is content for edits. next is their internships with endeavour and, as they're given the same task, i assume that shots of them together are not so hard to get. after the war tdbk become the popular boys together, so that's just another popular trop.

bkdk... well... they're not interacting much in the sports festival, only behind the curtains, which is already not great start cause pairings tend to form early. really together public first sees them at the internships and then in the war. most of their development goes off screen for the in-universe fans.

although everyone who knows bkdk in-person... who am i kidding, everyone who had seen them at least once in real life, knows the truth

Underdicussed aspect of Ed and Stede's future life in their "Inn": within a couple months they are going to be incomprehensible to anyone else. Mr Zangy and Mr Tangy have speedrun the development of a new dialect. It's still sort of English, but it's riddled with made up words like zangy and tangy, with technically normal words that have been given a completely new meaning because one of them said it in accident once, then it became A Bit for a couple days, and then it just became normal to use this word in the new context and they forgot it didn't always mean this. Some words have gone from being nouns to being adverbs and verbs. They are about to invent their own grammar. They talk to each other all day about all sorts of things because they love being together and they love talking to each other, and with every day their language moves further away from being actually intelligible to anyone else. When the crew comes to visit, they'll find a pair of retired pirates/not-yet innkeepers who use completely nonsense words for common household items and who talk to each other in gibberish.
