Always rubs me the wrong way seeing certain people being extremely critical and hateful towards Kevin Afghani. Just because he doesn't sound exactly like Charles Martinet.

As if the only criteria to a good Mario voice is that it needs to sound like Charles Martinet.

Look, I adore Charles like the next Mario fan, and of course his voice is incredibly iconic. So yeah, of course people aren't gonna react well to any kind of change whatsoever.

But I think people need to be more open minded. I think capturing the spirit of the character is a lot more important than just sounding like this one guy. And based on what I've heard playing through Brothership and Wonder, Kevin nails that spirit of Mario.

Okay under regular circumstances I think he’d absolutely hate it. It’s congested, it’s loud, it’s overstimulating and frankly, a waste of his time. If he really wanted to listen to music he’ll just use his walkman, thanks.

But since he’s with Jordan, I think he’d suck it up and actually try to enjoy it. Her happiness comes first, and besides it’s only like an hour. It’ll end soon enough. Jordan’s going to have to supply him with earplugs and other shit just so he wouldn’t get too bothered, homeboy does not have the same energy or tolerance as her. That’s if we’re thinking he’s sober here.

They 100% have went to concerts and pregamed hard before😭😭 all of which Wesker was dragged to and kinda peer pressured to take, poor guy. Anyway hot take but I think he’d relax a ton under the influence, I know a lot of people depict him as a huge stickler that hates anything remotely fun, but considering he missed literally all of that growing up I think he knows when to let loose and party. So yeah, definitely eventful, he wouldn’t ruin what’s supposed to be a fun night for Jordan, I don’t think he’d date an over the top party ABG otherwise if he couldn’t deal with it. You know damn well he threw up hard after he got home those nights and knocked out on the couch.

Anyway either way, if he’s sober or not I don’t think he’d just stand there and act all uptight if Jordan forced her to go to a concert. He’d make it enjoyable for himself one way or another. After all, he isn’t that selfish, he’s a fair man.

luffy gets a girlfriend

He is blissfully unaware of this fact, however. He meets Torao at work, he's a firefighter and she's a doctor. She stitched up a cut on his arm and he gets hungry, spontaneously invites her to eat and she accepts, probably hungry too (or totally thinking that the cute guy with the stupid smile is asking her out).

They go out several times after that, usually with Luffy showing up at the hospital randomly, either injured or bringing in a patient, or simply to bother Torao because he was bored.

Luffy gets a new (girl) friend.

They're weird friends, though, because one day Torao just leaned in and kissed him. On the lips! And he liked it for some reason, so they kissed countless more times.

And sometimes things get too hot when they kiss and one thing leads to another and- well, they had sex. Several times. Which is weird, because Luffy definitely has no desire to kiss, much less have sex, with his other friends. But it works, so he just classifies them as weird friends.

He's pretty sure they're NOT lovers, because neither he nor Torao made fancy proposals, with roses, candles, fancy dinner and fancy rings, like Sanji and most TV shows tell, so, definitely weird friends.

And its okay, he likes being weird friends with Torao :D

I can never understand what joy some people find when all they do is criticise half of the fan content. It’s wild that some will see others having fun, only to call it cringe or implore them to stop.

This is why I actually find those memes that occasionally go around -where it’s like "Going into the fandom tag" followed by a disgusted face - pretentious.

There are things I don’t like, and I have certain tags filtered. That’s normal. But the people creating that content have the right to continue making it. I’m not going to complain about seeing filtered tags in my feed or untagged content with something I dislike. That content isn’t made for me, and I don’t expect every fan creation to align with my tastes or interpretations.

The belief that people should stop making content or be heavily criticised just because you don’t like it is self-centred. Also, if the fandom annoys you that much - even a year later - why do you choose to stay?

It’s not healthy to scroll and feel "triggered" every three posts because it’s another piece of fan content you dislike. You might be better off in a private Discord server with a small group of friends.

These characters are fictional anyway, and I guarantee you that most people playing BG3 who aren’t part of the fandom don’t give a shit about shipping and headcanon's.

Please can we normalise not policing content that other's choose to create/ consume in the fandom (unless it is hate which is posted in the character tags. That's just poor etiquette).

Perhaps It's just me, because I seem to have something against people telling others what they should be doing in their free time in a condescending way. The throwing words like media literacy around like an insult (I think that term is now overused).

A headcanon doesn't need to have three different sources from the original text to back it up, and most people don't consider their own biases when choosing which interpretation they consider to be the canon one. Because what it comes down to is people only accepting the interpretations they agree with or project on to. Which is fine, but then don't act so haughty and holier than thou when others do the same.

Getting worked up over what others create is as ridiculous as a fan of one football team refusing to step foot in a rival team’s city or wear their colours.

I'm sorry, but fandom is a bit cringe, and people are going to have different perspectives. Accept that or get off your high horse.

Giving the scrungles chao saga

Mephiles's? Sweet babyangel service chao; if they did races Meph would definitely be dancemom manipulative of the other chao handlers just to make them fight, with the chao being none the wiser.

Metal's starts off as a feral little shit that loves to bite; but biting is not very effective on Metal, so oops bro, looks like you have been government assigned a chao (Who eventually warms up to him with the correct combination of ignoring their shenanigans and manhandling them into being socialized. No, we are having a nice day at the beach, you may not go and bite small children)

The third one is for an unpictured different Metal. This one was a rescue and is very shy, but their mommy is very scary with a resting murder face which gives them some more confidence as they grow up. Anyone who messes with this chao would wind up mysteriously missing.

If these were in the game...

Meph's chao would operate like a chaos chao, except it needs higher stats in power and flight.

Metal chao 1 would be neutral/speed/flight with a disproportionate amount of kangaroos and/or bug animals givin to it.

Metal chao 2 would be dark/power/flying, raised primarily on drives and dragons.
