I'm loving Toshiro's concern for Soul Society here. First he was the only one warning about the consequences of Gerard falling off, and now he blows like half of his remaining power on freezing a walled city together to keep it from falling down on the people below. That's incredibly noble, and not something I'd imagine some of his fellow captains would do even if they had the power to do it.

First of all, I would like to thank you so much for all your support and your kind message !! Thank you so much for being patient with me too !! (you will see, I thanks a lot in this post lol)
Haha tbh I believe that ignoring and move on is a great way too! Yeees when I read this anon ask, I was wondering if they are living somewhere where pale person are oppressed and they are personally in this case and it affects them so badly that they have so much hate in them or they are just being hateful toward poc w/o any explication ? It was a bit uncomfortable And what is appealing with Genshin Impact (for me) is the fact that they use real culture to create their game ; even in the last survey, they ask if we like Natlan's authenticity (weird they only ask abt environment and music, i think they know they have issue with character design bahaha). I learn a lot about persian, algerian, but also chinese and even about french culture ! It is because people recognize themself that they start talking about it. I know there is a lot of controversial topic in Natlan, but because of this, I learn a lot on Hawai'i 's culture too. So yes, even if it is fiction, representation *is* important. And it is because they take inspiration of their culture that there is people who want a better representation, and in my opinion, this is something to not ignore !
About taking well what anon said, thank you so much ! If i can be honest tho, I didn't take it very well neither, or just I don't know how do I really felt at the moment I am an adult but I still hard time to distinguish what is morally okay or not, what is bad and good ? So if someone doesn't tell me they are explicitly a bad person with bad intention, I won't get it haha (ofc I grew up and now I identify my value and morals, but I still questionning if my morals are objectively great or not- yeaaah i was called weird for that, I am aware) Since forever I always try to understand other so I can communicate properly (at least I try), and that's why I am always interested on how does people think, why do they react in this specific way etc etc. Pro, I am patient and can take even the most violent take "well" (all depends. I am still a human) Con, I give free speech to those who have a "bad" take </3 and I apologize for that aaaa
KFSDLFSD I wish to express my angryness sometime but I just don't know if it is really adequate What if I interpret their text in wrong way as they initially try to say ? I wasn't feel offended by what they said, I was just uncomfortable because their opinion is something I consider hateful. and what if i was wrong??? But reading you all's opinion just affirm that's they were indeed rude ! I should stop overthink, life would be easier Maybe next time I have a doubt I will ask my friends's opinion before answering ksdkfsf
Oh my god thank you !!! If i can be honest, I draw Kinich this way because when I draw him w a darker skin for the first time, I thought "Oh !!! he looks so cool !!!!" and seeing a lot of positive comment abt my Kinich just makes me happy so I keep him like this ! And thank you for sharing with me informations !<<333 This is not overstepping at all ! And it is a reciprocate feeling anon ! It might be a bit weird but "angry" is such a complex feeling for me. I feel it but I don't really know how to express it in the most healthy way and it is super frustrating. So... seeing people getting mad at something I also disagree on makes me feel better !! And for this, thank you all !
I SNORT SO HAAAARD Damn Macron you again..........!! I didn't put all ask here but I read them all !! Thank you for sharing with me your opinion and reaction, it is truly interesting (and way more relaxing that the hater anon kskskss) !! and again, your support is truly meaningful for me. You all have sincere gratitude Hope y'all have a great day !! Stay hydrated too <3
#reply#you all saying i am all polite and patient but tbh in my POV you all are patient w me KSKSKS /pos#this is kind of out of topic but it relates on some ask I received#I think everything have nuance. I don't talk abt my opinion but about fact ; “blackwashing” is used word. If it is used#that it doesn't exist?#Maybe that “whitewash” and “blackwash” just imply something completely different#and morals are differents in each individuals ; that's why whitewash is bad as do blackwash is#and for some blackwash is not a real term#In the end discussing about what is good what is bad in those term is just discussing about our own morality#and this is something hard to debate on ! because it implies us -individuals- to put on table our value and questionning about it again.#and I believe it is not something easy at all. Some of us are “made” to disagree each other opinions because morals are just different#anyway...!!! good night

How to get into the mind of a character? Honestly this can be for your OWN character or a fictional character. I'm wanting to write for characters- headcanons and fanfictions- and I'm so afraid I'll write them so uncanny to how they actually are.
How to get into the mind of a character?
To get into the mind of a character, you have to understand that character, believe in that character, and even "live" the character's life. But we all know each individual is different, and we cannot live different lives. A normal person who grew up in peacetime cannot fully understand the hardships of a warrior, and a doctor cannot know the thoughts of a mafia boss.
So, how can writers create believable characters? How can they possibly offer a believable soldier, cop, detective, alcoholic, or any given character type if they themselves haven't lived as them? How can they possibly offer a believable character in a situation that they've never been in?
Here are some tips you can use to get into the minds of characters:
Tip 1: Observe real-life people
To create well-rounded characters, observe real people around you. Pay attention to their behaviors, mannerisms, speech patterns, and thought processes. Take note of how they express emotions, handle conflicts, and make decisions. Drawing from real-life observations can add depth and authenticity to your characters. You can also search for novels and movies with different themes, study how characters with different pasts, biographies, occupations, and personalities act, behave, gesture, and speak. The best way is to prepare a small notebook and a pen so you can carry it with you wherever you go.
Tip 2: Create a detailed character profile
Develop a detailed character profile that includes information such as their age, background, beliefs, values, goals, and fears. Consider their relationships with other characters and how these dynamics influence their thoughts and actions. Delve into the character's past and explore significant events that have shaped them. Consider their upbringing, traumas, successes, and failures. These can provide you with a roadmap for understanding the character's mindset.
Tip 3: Use internal monologues and journaling
Imagine the character's internal thoughts and dialogues with themselves. Consider what they might be thinking in different situations, their hopes, dreams, and fears. (And why do they dream of that? Why are they afraid of that thing? What in the past made them afraid? Always asking questions.) Writing internal monologues or journal entries from the character's perspective can help you delve into their mindset and gain insight into their unique voice.
Tip 4: Consider their external influences
Characters are influenced by their environment, culture, and society. Reflect on how external factors such as family, friends, societal norms, or even the story's setting impact their thoughts and behaviors. This will help you portray their worldview more accurately.
Tip 5: Study the source material
If you're writing about an existing character from a book, TV show, or movie, immerse yourself in the source material. Pay attention to their dialogue, actions, and interactions with other characters. Take note of their personality traits, motivations, and backstory. This will help you develop a strong foundation for understanding the character. For example, recently I suddenly became interested in Nightwing (do you know him? Nightwing from the Batman series!), and I wanted to write a few short stories about him. So I found all the comics and movies that featured Nightwing and watched them one by one. I don't take notes because I have a pretty good memory (especially for characters I like), but I still recommend taking notes on special things to note.
Tip 6: Practice free writing
Set aside time for free writing exercises where you write from the character's point of view. Allow your thoughts to flow without judgment or editing. Just write, write, and write. You can reread and make corrections after you're done. Remember to gather your posts in one place; otherwise, you'll lose or forget them (like me!).
Getting into the mind of a character is an ongoing process that requires continuous exploration and refinement. The more you invest in understanding your character's thoughts, feelings, and motivations, the more compelling and authentic your writing will become.
Additionally, you can read my articles on how to write an effective character here:

Sweet Secret (Levi Ackerman x Reader)
Pairing: Levi Ackerman x F! Reader CEO Levi Ackerman coming in hot. I've been wanting to write a CEO Levi/Sugar daddy Levi story for a hot minute. Enjoy!
Summary: You needed a job. Ackerman Inc was hiring for an in house assistant for none other than the CEO: Levi Ackerman. He's known to be essentially the worst to work with, you decide to take the job and take on the challenge that is Levi Ackerman. Will your relationship remain professional, or will their be monetary value added to the stakes?
ao3
Chapter One: Opportunity
“Breathe. It’s just a job interview.” You take a deep breath just like your yoga instructor taught you.
The economy is shit, much to your dismay. Being an adult isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Just like many other people in the country, you’re applying to several jobs a day and receiving multiple rejection emails almost daily.
Your last office job laid you off - they claimed it was for ‘budget reasons’ but who knows. During your latest job search, you found a listing for an ‘In House Assistant’ for Ackerman Inc.
Ackerman Inc is known for their property management - they own much of the city and are continuing to grow. This job also supplies a place to live, who can say no to that? No rent, no utilities, and you’re getting paid.
You grew up in the city, so the skyscraper before you doesn’t scare you much. The windows are glossy, definitely freshly cleaned.
You take your first step into the building.
“One step at a time.” You say to yourself. The doors automatically open and you’re greeted by an auburn haired receptionist.
“Good morning! How may I help you?” Her attitude is cheerful as her hair follows her head movements.
“Good morning. I’m here for an interview for the in home assistant position.” You hold your bag close to you.
“Amazing! And you’re early. Mr. Ackerman will love that. My name is Petra, I’m the receptionist here at Ackerman Inc.” She reaches her hand out.
You tell her your name and shake her hand gently. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Let me take you up to the conference room, Mr. Ackerman should be in shortly.”
Walking through the halls of Ackerman Inc makes you feel like you’re in a museum. Awards strategically placed on the wall, aesthetically pleasing paintings lining hallways, and not a speck of dust in site.
“Here we are!” Petra opens the door for you. Would you like any coffee? Tea?”
“I’m okay, thank you though.” You take a seat at the long conference table. You’re too nervous to drink or drink anything before an interview.
You look down at your fingertips, your well manicured nails shining against the overhead lights. You’re happy you went with OPI’s bubble bath nail polish shade, you think to yourself.
Soon the door opens and you see a man with a strong stature paired with jet black hair walk through. You immediately tense as you fix your posture and stand up to greet him.
“Hi, it’s so nice to meet you. My name is-“ You hold your hand out.
“I know your name.” The man glances at you before he sits down. “I’m Levi Ackerman, the CEO of Ackerman Inc. I’m gonna cut to the chase for this, because I need an assistant asap.”
You nod your head as you listen to Mr. Ackerman. He shuffles through the papers in his hand, pulling out a laminated copy of your resume.
“Your resume looks great. How do you feel about cleanliness?”
“I appreciate a clean environment, sir.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.” His half lidded eyes meet yours. His eyes are a blue-gray. You take note that they match his grey pressed suit that was definitely recently dry-cleaned and ironed.
“I clean every day. I’m not sure how you want me to answer that. I’m a clean person.”
Levi only nods as he places your resume on the table gently.
“This position requires you to work at my home, work here, basically anywhere I am.” Levi taps his index finger on the table. “It’s a 24/7 job since I work 24/7. You’ll get days off, but they’re almost like on call shifts. If I need you, I need you.”
You nod in response. “That sounds okay.”
“You’ll have to move in asap as I need you to start this Monday. How does that work for you?”
“I can have my stuff ready tomorrow morning.”
“Congrats, you have a job.” Levi stands up and grabs his papers that were on the table previously. He pulls out his wallet - a designer one at that. He hands you a business card that’s nestled between his middle and index finger. “Call me tomorrow when your stuff is ready. I’ll have movers bring it over.”
“Thank you Mr. Ackerman.”
Levi nods as he leaves the room. You can’t help but watch him through the glass windows as he makes his way to the elevator. His demeanor is… cold. He didn’t ask too many questions, which makes you think he already did his research on you.
But hey, a job is a job and the pay is better than your last one.
Why did he need an assistant so quickly though?
As you walk out of Ackerman Inc, your phone buzzes in your purse. You see your little sister’s name across the screen.
“How did your job interview go!” She says enthusiastically.
“I got the job. I start Monday.”
“Is Mr. Ackerman hot?”
“Alexis!” You roll your eyes. “He’s my boss now so I have no… opinions about his looks.” You lie. He’s obviously attractive. But he’s your boss - therefore forbidden.
“You can think your boss is hot. A lot of people fuck their coworkers.”
You roll your eyes at her statement. “Bye, Lex.”
“Love you!” She sings before hanging up the phone.
Your little sister, Alexis, is more like your daughter at this point. You’ve been on your own since you were 16 and Alexis was 6. Your parents are addicts that could not care less if you lived or died, so you took your sister and ran.
You haven’t seen them in 12 years and don’t plan on seeing them ever again.
___________________________________________________________
The reason you could move in so quickly to Mr. Ackerman’s house is because you’ve been couch surfing for the last 4 months. Alexis for once has a stable job and lives with a roommate, so you were on your own.
As you entered your friends apartment, you took a deep breath. This will be your last sleep here. You won’t have to burden anyone anymore.
“Hey! How’d your interview go?” Ymir, your best friend, emerged from the kitchen. Her girlfriend, Historia followed behind her.
“I got the job!” You smiled. “I’ll be moving in tomorrow morning.”
“Where did you get the job again?” Historia tilted her head.
“Ackerman Inc.” You watched as she typed the name into the search bar.
“Wow, THE Ackerman Inc!” Her eyes got wide as she kept reading. “Did you… read the reviews about the CEO?”
“Levi Ackerman? No I didn’t. Why?”
Historia said nothing and handed her phone to you.
While the pay is great, Levi Ackerman is the biggest dickhead I’ve ever met.
Be careful applying to this place. The CEO, Levi Ackerman, has no soul. No heart.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Ackerman Inc. It’s not worth it to deal with the king of assholes - Levi Ackerman.
You sigh and hand the phone back to Historia. “It’s too late. I need a job and it provides housing.”
“You always have a place here.” Ymir wrapped you into a hug. “We love having you live with us.”
“Thank you.” You hug Ymir. “I appreciate you so much. But I’ll be out of your hair soon.” You walk to your ‘bed’ which is the living room couch. You gather some of your knick knacks and shoved them in your tote bag.
You barely had anything to your name. Just a few outfits for interviews, your laptop, phone, and various chargers. Unemployment only helped with so much.
As you look up into the TV, you take a sigh of relief.
You have a job. This is the start of your new beginning.
You pull your phone out and text the number that’s on the business card that Mr. Ackerman gave you.
> I’ll be ready by 10 AM. Here’s my address.
You received a text back rather quickly.
The movers will be there at 10. <
> Honestly, I don’t need movers. I only have 1 bag.
You stared at the screen as the three dots appeared on the screen. You felt butterflies flutter in your stomach. Does he think you’re pathetic? That you have nothing to your name?
I’ll pick you up at 10. Do not make me wait. <
> Of course.
You think to yourself, why would he come pick you up himself? Surely he has people to do that for him.
Oh well.

I’m genuinely a major fan of complicated Alfred (+ Amelia) interpretations. On the surface, you have this strong & friendly goofball, but beneath the surface, you’ve got a man who’s grappling with the fact that he’s not living up to this hero he claims he is. A man who is maybe somewhat cognizant he’s in fact the villain in many people’s eyes yet he’s too afraid maybe too ashamed to truly confront himself.
I love Alfred interpretations where he genuinely struggles with trying to live up to these ideas of liberty, equality, & justice. Yet Alfred often finds himself partaking in actions that are directly the opposite of that.
I often interpret Alfred as a product of his own environment. He grew up a puritan and some of those questions of morality, those values, and what it means to be a good person continue to haunt him.
Also he’s not only a product of the historical and social contexts he finds himself in, but he’s also a nation and the mere existence of any nation person is inherently selfish and deeply flawed (cause it’s fundamentally an existence born out of politics).
Personally, he reminds of Tony Soprano. A part of him perhaps wants to be better, but he rarely actually makes a genuine effort towards changing himself for the better. Even when does make progress, it is thwarted by external situations and a sense of pride/entitlement- in Alfred’s case, I think he still views himself as this underdog kid who still needs to fight to be heard and respected.
Maybe he won’t ever truly be this hero he aspires to be. Maybe it’s cause his mere existence is simultaneously born out of the sin of colonization and continued through it. Maybe he’s in over his head. Maybe it’s cause he’s too prideful to really reach within himself and make that change. Whatever it is, he’s a deeply flawed and complicated individual.

"isn't it funny how alicent's sons are misogynistic but rhaenyra's aren't"
I think we've been over this before but we will do it again. Alicent was forced to have her children, while she was a child. These children were not born out of love, or passion, they were born simply for Viserys to fulfill his need for a son and to push for the Targayrean dynasty. Alicent was an unwilling vessel for that. She did not have the loving environment to cultivate a healthy relationship with her sons because she was always under the thumb of misogynistic, sexist, abusive men (Otto, Viserys and Larys). Up until this moment, Alicent has not even existed for herself. She doesn't understand what it means to exist out of the gaze of misogyny, nor what it means to put herself and her desires above men. So yes, her sons are misogynistic toward her, Aegon dismisses her or tries to, as does Otto, it is a pattern and just now Alicent is learning to defend herself.
LIKE please understand Alicent herself, until now, has only existed as a vessel to push what men want. Even making Aegon king is in her mind, what Viserys wanted. Her sons are misogynistic toward her because up until recently, she's been taught that was her purpose.
Rhaenyra grew up in an environment where her father, despite her being a girl, still made her his heir and at that very moment went back on hundreds of years of tradition. He valued Rhaenyra as more than a vessel or a tool to push the Targaryen dynasty, he did not see her the same way he did Aemma and Alicent - he viewed her as someone who deserved agency and power. Therefore the men in Rhaenyra's reflected that when interacting with her (most of them).
If the king of all people valued Rhaenyra and made her his heir despite being a woman, then she would grow up to believe that women existed outside of the whims and desires of men. She grew up in an environment where her worth as a woman was elevated and she was genuinely seen as a person. She did not have the same life as most women around her and of her generation. She had far more freedom and grace than Alicent. And again the men in her life who lived in proximity to that reinforced that; Laenor, Corlys, Viserys. She was also blessed to be in the company of women who grew up privileged enough to believe that women did not exist only for men's consumption - i.e, Rhaenys and you can even consider Laena.
THAT SAID, of course, when she has that support her relationship with her sons will be different. Her sons don't see her as an obstacle or as someone to ignore because she had the ability and the foundation to correct, or rather, never instill that form of teaching.
I actually loved seeing the contrast of motherhood. We have all been saying Alicent was forced to have Aemond and Aegon, and we can see that as the show goes on, she starts to detest them - barely seeing him as sons IMO. And well, that makes sense. The things she hated and that confined her she begins to see in her own sons. i think it's realistic.
Wherein we have Rhaenyra, who has a very pure, and loving relationship with her sons, Jace specifically. Jace enters, calls her 'Your Grace', and respects her as a queen first and mother second. Then he crumbles into her arms and they cry together. He doesn't just see her as an equal, and i'd venture to say he doesn't. He sees her as above him, as his queen, she has to break the barriers to be seen as a mother. And it isn't a failure in her relationship or raising him, it is the opposite actually. It shows that he respects her, and that he understands her place as rightful queen, and his place as her heir.
REGARDLESS, I'd love to have discussions on Alicent and Rhaenyra without either being shamed or torn apart for things they couldn't control. There is so much comparing and contrasting to be done that would be fun if not done through the scope of misogyny and stan wars.

Astro Observation #III
Back at it again, Astro Observations part III.
I feel like people with Moon opposite Neptune are more emotionally aware about the truths of life than most people. They also get themselves in lots of hardships and tend to have a very awful reputation, especially around rumors and addictions or alcoholism (ex : Robert Downey Jr.)
Not astrological but I somehow figured people who grew up in abusive or violent environments liked war or action movies, while loners, for example, preferred occult or horror movies.
It somehow makes sense with Aries placements living in abusing environment, and Gemini placements being loners and abandoned at a young age.
Scorpio can be an exception as they are both loners and somehow tend to grow in violent environments.
The House in your birth chart where the current North Node transits in can tell a lot about changes in your life
If the current North Node transits in your 7th house, you might make significant encounter regarding your love life, have an event related to love, or meet patterns of people you should run away from.
Virgo Jupiters aren't only extremely motherly but also very smart, and more than likely will be interested in laws to the point of learning most of 'em. They want legal justice and rightful punishments, especially for those who have to live what they have lived.
Your Rising signs depicts a lot what you either value most or meet struggles with.
Libra risings value a lot beauty in themselves and others but meets a lot of struggles with insecurities and ways to cover up their insecurities.
Taurus risings value a lot faithfulness and relations with others but meets a lot of struggles with finding or trusting people. They also value a lot the importance of money but somehow struggle to acquire it and find a stability with a financial life.
Sagittarius Risings have a huge adoration for responsible-looking yet irresponsible beings. I don't really know how to explain it : people that look serious outside but can be absolute goofies inside.
Sagittarius Risings (if not Sagittarius placements directly) also tend to have unfixed beliefs. They believe in nothing specific but seek for proof and understanding of things people want to convert them to.
Best example would be a Sagittarius Rising that grew in Christian beliefs. They will research on every questionable and physically impossible things foundable in the bible and seek an explanation.
Other example, if you show a Sag Rising about witchcraft, they will casually accept to try a spell, but will only believe it when specificity of the spells will happen (The things they've demanded, how they hoped it to unfold, etc...)
So, Everyone knows how Hygeia was and still is associated with physical health, but it's also associated with mental health, and I feel like inevitably, Hygeia can tell a lot about where we struggle internally (mental health issues), where it steams from and how it developed.
Do NOT f. with someone who have a lot/prominent water signs, especially Moon, Mars, Saturn or Uranus. They are above the metaphysical world, and if you upset them hard enough, Hecate knows what traumatizing things can happen
Likewise, beware of a person's Saturn if you ever intend to manipulate or hurt them. Saturn, among other things, rules Karma (Unforgiving karma) and while some karma are inconsequential, some karma placements are absolutely raw and rough
My advice, don't mess with these Saturn placements:
Taurus/Gemini/Virgo/Scorpio/Sagittarius/Pisces Saturn in the 2nd/3rd/6th/8th/9th/12th, or at 8°-20°-18°-21°-11°-23°-24°
Taurus touches finances, Gemini touches mental health (can go to schizophrenia), Virgo also touches to mental and physical health, Scorpio is highly spiritual (and terrifying), so is sag and Pisces
2nd touches power, self-worth and finances
3rd touches mental health as well, family, surroundings, neighborhood, rumors
6th touches to work environment, issues, health
8th touches to trauma, sexuality, occult and demons (can go from simple sexuality problems to SA, car accidents, m¥rd€r or worse)
9th touches to spirituality and universal protection for the Saturn person
12th touches to spirituality, inner demons, worst facets, dreams or nightmares
8/20° = Scorpio degree
18° = Virgo degree
21° = Sagittarius degree
11/23° = Aquarius degree
24° = Pisces degree
I feel like heavy 2nd house/Taurus placements, Venus in the 2nd/6th/10th/12th, Saturn or Pluto in the 2nd/6th/12th, Taurus or Pisces rulling the 4th/6th/10th/12th house may have eating disorder. Yeah the list is very long.
For those believing that astrology CAN show fated events, I advise you don't only look up synastry for current partners or crush, but also look up exes and friendship/family connections. Exes can show you what you were meant to learn or experience, or if you two were truly fated. Friendship/Family can, in some ways, explain where trauma came from and why (and after that, in what ways) your relationship with friends/family didn't work.
Libra rising have a Chameleon personality
Personal opinion, but I think crystals don't just affect sun signs, like most cheat charts on the net or some TikTok witches let you know (we've all seen mainly videos about "What type of crystal should you wear based on your zodiac sign", aka your star sign, your SUN sign. But they never mention the crystals effects on you, or best for you, based off the moon sign, or any other placement.) My point here is that crystals can affect as much your whole chart (house placements and planets placements, etc...) as it can affect your sun
Leading to a personal observation : Moldavite, the life-changing, renowned stone, touches everything that is stored in your subconcious houses, spiritual houses. 12th/8th and 4th house. So before you buy Moldavite, check what signs are your houses and the planets into it. This is probably what you'll go through or experience, whether be good or bad.
Sagittarius/Gemini in 3rd/9th, Saturn/Jupiter/Mercury in 3rd/9th live for knowledge. They tend to admire learning new things, especially the ninth house or Sagittarius placements if the topics are uncommon or not popular.
Not only your Venus sign and house placement, but your Venus aspects can also tell what type of person you're attracted to or can attract (Venus-Saturn/Venus-Pluto people out there, I see your daddy issues)
Maybe each house or sign dominance have one specific overindulgent trait because they know at some point in life they lacked/will lack it
Ex : Taurus/2nd house dominant: Materialistic
Could be a result of living with few to no thing as a kid, leading to, while growing up, a need to fulfill what they didn't have during their childhood (toys, jewels, etc...)
Ex : Gemini/3rd house dominant: Talkative or Observant
Could be the fact they were never listened or no one paid attention, or that they never felt understood so while growing up they adopted an overly talkative trait or a tendency to talk very little and observe more
Update : Y'ALL LOVE THIS POST, IT'S CRAZY 😭

I hate angst, but Clegan has been making me feel horribly sad. I wanted to see if any of you are interest in an extremely angst fic. I am posting for the first time this is my first full on prompt I hope you guys like it. This is probably horrible but here you go:
---
Gale Cleven was born unloved. His father despised him, beat him, and screamed at him. His mother was coldly indifferent to her husband's treatment of their only son. This harsh upbringing forced Gale to adapt to any environment, learning to read people so effectively that he could almost predict their words and reactions. However, sometimes his gift didn't work properly he does not see it coming; his scars and bruises from his father were telltale.
Gale Cleven grew up feeling cold and unloved, so detached that it seemed something within him had broken; he had never felt warmth in his life.
Gale Cleven grew up in profound loneliness, constantly questioning if things would ever improve.
He didn’t have friends because he moved so often. His shyness and disinterest in typical boyhood activities meant that no one approached him.
Gale Cleven was always pretty—not handsome but beautiful—and that beauty frightened him.
That is why, when he entered flying school and met the men who made him feel warmth for the first time, Gale Cleven became Buck Cleven—a person with friends and love.
Buck Cleven was born, but Gale Cleven still lurked in the background, waiting for the warmth to fade and the cold to return.
Gale Cleven loved Bucky Egan deeply and loyally; he was the only one for him. This obsession or loyalty might seem abnormal to the average person, but Gale had grown up cold, alone, and unloved, and when he finally felt warmth, he clung to it.
Bucky Egan was the hottest and brightest being out there, the sun that kept him warm on the coldest days.
However, what Gale felt for Bucky Egan was not reciprocated, and it only took one evening outside the pub for him to realize this.
It was at that moment that Buck Cleven broke in half, and Gale Cleven re-emerged. It was then Buck realized that, like the sun, Bucky had many orbiting him. Gale was just one of many, the farthest from the warmth, not even a planet—a dwarf planet like Pluto, forgotten and cast aside.
When Buck Cleven saw Bucky kiss someone he knew, so deeply and lovingly, he realized he meant nothing.
Isn’t it funny how naive he was to think that someone like Bucky would ever love him or be there for him? Buck had given his whole self, his broken soul, only to be cast aside and destroyed again. Perhaps it was better that it happened now.
Buck Cleven ceased to exist. Why should he be kind and present when he was not valued? He cast aside the name Buck, a name given to him by the man he loved, and decided this was it.
No more touches, no idle chatter, no more loving glances, no more following and waiting to be acknowledged.
He would be Major Gale Cleven, performing his duties well, but he would no longer yearn for John Egan. It was over.
Like his father, John Egan had taken a piece of his soul, destroyed it for laughs, and handed it back.
Gale Cleven realized that there was no such thing as emotion, love, or peace—there was only living.

So, I've been reading 'Seeds of Hope' by Jane Goodall, because I am curious to what other people are saying about plants, and this book truly delivered. I've been introduced to some past plant drama in the world and that was incredible lore that should have been taught in history.
Apparently, when people first discovered tulips, they were so intensely valuable and popular, that people would trade huge amounts of money, diamonds, or even acres of land, for just one bulb. People were pre-paying for bulbs that didn't even exist yet, they would pre-order bulbs that are not yet even made. One servant ate a bulb thinking it was an onion and he got jail time for it. And I mean they're all correct, tulips just are that good.
There was also a lot of, much sadder drama about orchids; I didn't know this, but they originally grow very high up in the trees, and people were competing for discovering new and rare species. These rare and exotic species would then be displayed in rich people's gardens. Because they became so valuable, poachers would go trough the forests and take almost all of the orchids in there, making them near extinct in nature. This was resolved by orchid gardeners carefully growing them, multiplying and sharing to the point where they were sold commercially, which lessened their value on the black market, so there was no need to pillage them from the forests anymore. Growing rare plants is protection of them!
The book goes on to talk about botanic gardens, herbariums, and the value of collecting and archiving plant material, which is then showing us the effects of climate change, and stores valuable information about what is happening to the plants. It made me want to start a herbarium for sure, I'm always stressed about the loss of local plants, and it's happening more and more as green areas are cleared out.
The book touches upon plants that people have found harmful, such as plants that people make drugs out of; she clears it out to us that these plants are sacred to the native people who grew up with them, and creating drugs from them is in fact, abuse of these plants, and offensive to the communities who hold them sacred, and use them in appropriate doses as medicine. The book talks a lot about plant medicine! Apparently the pharmacy companies have been learning the knowledge about medicinal plants from native people who knew how to use plant medicine, and then the pharmacy would make medicine from those same plants, and profit off of it, without giving any credit or profit to the communities they got this knowledge from, which is not great. But then the demand for this medicine would go so high, they would go and gather all, or almost all medicinal plants from the areas where native people lived, devastating their medical supplies and natural habitats. Book goes on to question the ethics of acquiring medicine in this way, and never informing people where it came from, or what was sacrifices in order for the world to have it.
Similar things happened with valuable crops that are grown in native areas; once the demand for these crops grew, big monocrop fields were established, damaging the land and the local ecosystem, killing millions of animals who lived there, and sometimes forcing people or children into modern slavery, in order to grow them. Coffee, cocoa beans, vanilla beans, palm oil; they've been described as specifically devastating for the communities and the environment. But the book doesn't condemn these foods at all, instead the author goes on to describe, what has been done to improve this. Instead of monocrops, which are devastating for the environment, people are now taught to grow fruit trees in the same fields as coffee, which makes the coffee plants healthier and stronger, and creates and environment where some plants and animals can thrive. I personally don't believe you should have only 2 or 3 plants in a big area, I think you need about 3 millions, but it's a progress from monocrops.
The author describes finding and helping the local farmers who found ways to healthy, natural and non-damaging growing of these plants, and she helped them sell it! She also encourages buying organic food because it helps if the demand for non-monocrop food is growing.
Now there's a section of the book standing strongly against GMO foods, and for some reason I never heard any arguments against gmo, I didn't understand much about the harm coming from them, so I was very curious to hear this. The author explained how 47 million dollars was spent just for lobbying for GMO, which explains why all my information on gmo was positive, and I remember hearing it was 'the best way to reduce world hunger', but the world hunger is still a problem, so it obviously did not succeed. But now I have a better understanding of what it is.
GMO foods were specifically developed to have pesticides inside of them, so they'd be poisonous to pests, but not to people eating them. The research on whether they're poisonous to animals showed that the animals who ate them long term, had their inner organs irritated, enlarged, stomach infections, and had higher risk of cancer. So it was not proven to be safe, but it ended up in the stores anyway; the author says that about 70% of food in american supermarkets has unlabelled gmo, which is scary to think about. She also explains that this is the reason so many people in america are now trying to grow food at home, they don't want to be poisoned by pesticides.
GMO foods were specifically designed to support monocrops, and to protect them pests; this worked out in creating more and more bugs that are resistant to the pesticides, and farmers have reported the appearance of 'superbugs', which are resistant to any kind of pesticide. There's now also 'superweeds', which are resistant to herbicide. The industry is trying to develop new pesticides and new herbicides, in order to counter these new problems, but it is obvious that they're only sinking deeper and deeper; monocrops are unsustainable. Poisoning the earth and the plants, and even the seeds, is not going to lead to the end of world hunger. Farmers are often ending up losing their entire farms due to new bugs that are now thriving because all of their competition has been eliminated by pesticides, they're now the only bug and they can eat up the entire crop easily.
The other problem of GMO crops is that they're spreading their seeds and mixing with the natural crops, making them into GMO crops as well. According to the author the canola crops has already been lost, now all canola existing is genetically modified.
I'm dissatisfied with this knowledge, but it's better to know and be aware rather than to be in the dark. The author suggests designing living spaces that have gardens in them, and encouraging local community to garden, as well as planting city gardens, where food would grow for everyone. She goes on to describe the efforts of universities and cities who already had built their own living gardens in order to support the community, and how it worked to create a more beautiful, life-sustaining, happier place. She even explained how having local gardens makes the crime rate lower.
I loved this book, it had the environment awareness that can only be compared to Greta Thunberg's book, it described trees and plants so lovingly, and the connection people have with them. It showed me there's so many people fighting to save the forests and grasslands and native plants, and it's an effort that will make a big difference to how we get to live on this planet in the future.

CHAOS TIME. Sirius lives, it's post-war.....how do Sirry get together? 👀
Ooohhhhh. OKAY.
Scenario 1:
Harry breaks up with Ginny (maybe it’s a big thing, maybe they break off their engagement—maybe they grew apart or something, idk). Harry is devastated and Sirius offers him a place to stay at his house. Maybe they’ve never actually lived together so Sirius is unsure if he ought to be nurturing Harry or treating him like an adult. Their relationship is also healing from the disaster that was OotP so they’re still a bit awkward around each other. Anyway, Harry wakes up one night and finds Sirius in rough shape after a bad night with Moony. While Harry insists on bringing him to St. Mungo’s, Sirius shrugs it off, says it’ll be fine, and if Harry’s so concerned, he should help him. So idk Harry helps him strip out of his bloody clothes and starts—uhhhh—treating his wounds, trying to ignore the fact that he’s touching Sirius in a way that they don’t usually. They hardly hug! Rubbing balms and stuff on a very fit man who is groaning in pain? Done for.
Scenario 2:
Sirius is not one to tell Harry what to do, but Harry’s recruitment into the Auror office rankles him. Kingsley tries to convince Sirius that they’re working on reform in the DMLE, yet Sirius isn’t convinced it’s the right move for Harry to join a fairly corrupt organization. One night when Harry is visiting him with Ron and Hermione, and maybe a few drinks in, Sirius can’t help himself from telling Harry that it’s a big mistake. Harry gets pissed off. Sirius tells him he’s risking his life for a job that’ll stab him in the back or force him to compromise on his values, and Harry throws back that at least he’s actually doing something (as opposed to Sirius who is slowly, quietly healing from his traumas). All of a sudden, they’re dredging up old hurts, and Harry hasn’t felt this angry at Sirius since he learned he was innocent. Finally, Harry snaps at Ron and Hermione that they’re leaving, but Sirius tells Harry that they’re not finished. Ron and Hermione go, but Sirius and Harry are still arguing—Harry accuses Sirius of being childish and Sirius claims that Harry is completely obtuse. Anyway, Harry tries to leave but Sirius refuses to let him go. Uhhhh Harry shoves him into the wall or something and is about to tell him off when he realizes Sirius is looking at him strangely…as if…
Scenario 3:
Sirius has retreated from the magical world and feels more comfortable amongst Muggles who don’t know him or question his innocence. He becomes a mechanic, and within a few years, he opens his own shop where he can fix stuff and chat with people who are impressed with this oddly posh, incredibly honest mechanic. Harry, meanwhile, has become disillusioned with his career as an Auror and is a bit depressed; he no longer lives with the same purpose he had before Voldemort was defeated. He doesn’t know how to just be…a person. So Sirius teaches him about fixing things. It turns out that Sirius is a very good teacher, and Harry finds himself going to the shop over and over and over again, letting Sirius guide his hand as he like, drills something, idk. Anyway, this is a very sexy environment, and Sirius is very nurturing, and Harry feels safe and satisfied as he’s gently told what to do. He doesn’t have to think, all he has to do is listen to Sirius…
Scenario 4:
Speaking of teaching… because you know…
Harry is just beginning to teach at Hogwarts. He’s twenty-four, he’s left the Auror department, and he’s looking for something that feels worthwhile. Sirius has been teaching Transfiguration since McGonagall became headmistress, so he’s thrilled when Harry comes to Hogwarts. Harry is enjoying teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts but he notices that he’s getting a bit of attention—that kind of attention—from students. When he confides in Sirius, he shows him a note that was passing between a few fifth year girls. Sirius finds it very funny and reads the note which includes a litany of Harry’s physical attributes. But somehow, the words coming out of Sirius’s mouth hit…different… When Sirius squeezes his chin, teasing him about his “sparkling, green-grass eyes”, Harry realizes that…oh no… And Sirius immediately understands and grins, and continues to tease Harry for things that are definitely not in the note…

Jo's dynamics with other characters are all usually fun and engaging due to her being such an entertaining and adaptable character herself; but they can honestly be so much more interesting if people explored them a bit more?
For example, take Jo and Lightning. They have a hilarious dynamic with Jo having to deal with Lightning's stupidity and learning to manipulate his self-centeredness to her advantage. Except one thing I don't see explored enough is their similarities??
They're both overconfident athletes who are willing to do bad shit in order to win. It makes me think that Jo might’ve had a similar upbringing to him where she had to deal with the pressure of winning? Like, a cut-throat attitude doesn't just develop out of nowhere. Except whilst I think Lightning's ego developed from being constantly praised (and eventually pressured with having to live up to others' expectations), Jo might’ve been constantly belittled and underestimated (for yknow, being a girl) and she would've had to work hard to achieve recognition from others. Episode 6 pretty much confirms that she uses a false bravado and anger to cover up feelings of insecurity. I just think their possibly similar yet different upbringings and perspectives would be cool to explore.
Jo and Zoey is one of my favourite duos! They definitely should've become friends; I think they would've been a fun dynamic, and gen 2 could've used a proper female friendship. I think them both having the "Not like other girls" aspect is quite interesting?? As well as them both initially lacking actual friendships (with Zoey's lonely childhood, and Jo's... Just Jo) which is. Pretty common amongst the gen 2 girls. Huh
Zoey could've been a MUCH more interesting character (I always just use the cool epic version of her I have inside my head). Let her be weirdddd or let her be super basic and intentionally pose as "indie" to seem cool and different. Maybe she looks down on other "basic" girls to cover up how she feels insecure around them for being weird and having unconventional interests herself idk. I think the dynamic of both Zoey and Jo hating on pretty, popular girls and overcoming that is super neat. Especially since they're both something that the other hates; Zoey is a typically feminine girl and Jo is a jockette. Let them become friends and be like "okay well you aren't so bad" and then eventually stop judging other girls for being "feminine" or "basic" pleaseeeee it'd be so good. Even better: let ALL the revenge girls be friends. I just want them to be happy OKAY? Okay.
Finally, Jo and Cameron! Another duo I'm fond of. Awesome brains/brawns combination, and the whole arc of Cam standing up to her and Jo respecting him for it is absolutely peak. Jo's elimination in roti was pretty much perfect, but I also think she could've worked well in the finale. Her being a combination of brains and brawns would have encouraged Cameron to use both, which would be a neat callback to Jo's earlier line of needing to get physical in TD. (Still think she should've rooted for Cameron over the guy who insisted that she was a dude for most of the season but whatever)
I haven't really seen this take on their dynamic, but the whole thing of Cameron's development being stunted from the over-protective environment of his upbringing and Jo being toughened by the harsh environment of hers adds a fascinating layer to their relationship. Whereas Cameron was prevented from being able to properly grow up and experience things like normal teens, Jo grew up way too soon and put more focus into winning than making positive relationships and allowing herself to just be a teenage girl (I personally believe Jo got the """tough love""" treatment). Idk I just think this would be cool to delve into and see how their opposite childhoods impacted them and their core values when interacting with each other
Cameron clearly saw her as both a role model and an opponent, which is a really fun dynamic! She was a bully, yeah, but she also presented herself as someone who was always in control and knew what she was doing, so it's understandable that Cam looked up to her. She was pretty much the opposite of overprotective too, which is probably what drew Cam to her since she didn't coddle him (and instead made fun of him LMAO). And of course, Jo learned to not underestimate the tiny nerds and gave her respect in the end. Super fun and intriguing duo, and probably the only td pair I would actually compare to siblings.
So yeah basically I think we should start looking into TD relationship dynamics more because they're awesome and filled with potential. Especially Jo's because she is the best ever and if you think otherwise then you're wrong
Also have a gold star if you just read through all of that ⭐️ great work soldier

Theory: The way people take care and store their things it's often the same as the way they take care and address their feelings, values and boundaries.
Examples:
1) someone who just leaves their belongings wherever and doesn't think too much about it, might be the type of person that doesn't really take into account their personal rules when it comes to their stability or well-being. These kind of people are social and moral butterflies and kind of forget to satisfy their own needs, especially if they also forget where they put those things (they also get mental fog a lot) If they remember every place perfectly even if they didn't pay attention when leaving that thing, then this person is just chaotic in nature and chooses to live this way (also thinking they shouldn't fix issues that don't exist, even if they have them....they just don't see them as being bad enough to need to be "fixed").
2) someone who forgets they have something in their hand or just walks with a lot of stuff in their hands, even if they don't need them, might be very anxious to let go of their feelings or express them. They also tend to linger on past interactions and events a lot.
3) the people who are very picky with what they buy or tend to take care meticulously and regularly of their belongings are usually very loyal to their feelings and values (and the people they based them on or just share them with, like their partners or family). They're usually laid back about all that ever-changing drama, like romance, trends or simply doing something just because it felt nice for one second. For them quality and lasting things are much more important and they value structure a lot.
4) messy, careless and oblivious people are the same when it comes to their personal life or internal experiences. Usually very NOT trustworthy. Even though they might not be like this because they intend to, they still affect a lot the structures other people create in their lives. Just because "it's not their fault, but the environment's in which they grew up in" it doesn't mean you have to "save them from themselves". First of all, they might not even perceive it as actual help, so they definitely won't want it. Secondly, your personal life WILL suffer after this. You'll just get as messy as them. You might know how to help them when looking at their situation objectively, but, trust me, you won't be as good at assessing the same situation once you're put in the spot of experiencing it subjectively. Almost the same as 1), except this one is more easier to spot.
5) greedy people. They think that they're the only ones who experience and feel something the way they do and some people are just not born for some things. They might consider themselves as being entitled to something or someone and expect the same thing from others. But not if they get aggressive and violent when you take their things from them. In this case they're just scared of losing themselves. Everything and everyone they own (yes, everyone) are almost like a part of themselves. If you take it from them, they'll feel like losing themselves. Some might act very actively upon this, some might be calmer, but in both cases this will trigger an identity crisis. It's just that some people are okay with it, while others not so much.
6) someone who is very careful with their stuff is someone who understands the depth of his own experiences and knows when is the right time to deal with something. They don't share their inner life with someone else until they are 100% sure it's worth it.
— how to test this theory: look at 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th house placements, look at the state of the moon, mercury, venus and saturn.
— easier to spot on people with: earth moon, earth mercury, earth venus, earth dominance, 2nd house placements (especially moon and venus), moon/venus-mercury/neptune/saturn aspects, 2nd/4th house ruler in air houses (debatable), earth/water risings, earth 4th house/imum coeli.

Why do Leftist writers in Hollywood suck at creating/writing relatable, likable, or decent characters?
The short answer, because they're talentless hacks.
The long answer... That would take a fair amount of time to get into.
Most leftist writers in Hollywood have very limited experiences. They typically grew up in cloistered, left-leaning urban bubbles; if they have traveled at all, it was likely to other cloistered, left-leaning urban bubbles, either domestically or abroad. They live and work in and around Los Angeles, a deep blue enclave in the deepest blue state in the Union. The only people they ever associate with are people with similar life experiences to them: Left-leaning people who grew up in left-leaning bubbles, who also work as television writers or actors.
So, under those circumstances, when you have never been exposed to a world or to people outside of sheltered left-wing environs, it is very easy to tell yourself that your way of thinking and living is True and Correct, and is in fact the default; it is the way that a Good Person lives. After all, it's how they live, and they are a Good Person: They have all the Correct Opinions, they have Correct Values, they consume the Correct Media. QED.
It goes back to the old communist tactic of the "struggle session": If you do something wrong, you must be brought up in front of all of your other peers and ridiculed for it. As has been said, part of the reason why the left is so insufferable is because they are more obsessed with not doing the wrong thing, than they are about doing something right. Doing something right doesn't get you buttpats and accolades, unless it's the correct sort of "right thing", and it's done publicly not for its own sake, but to remind other people what a Good Person you are. Doing the Wrong Thing, on the other hands, gets you ridiculed, it gets you shunned; you are branded a heretic and a traitor to the One True Cause. And these people will turn on their own at the drop of a hat: It's worth pointing out that J.K. Rowling agrees with the left on about 99.99% of everything; it's that .01% disagreement that has them baying for her blood.
So, what does all of this have to do with the price of tea in China? Well, two things.
The first is that for the most part, these writers are producing content not for general audiences, but for each other. Or, rather, for people who have the same narrow band of experiences as they do; when the rubber meets the road, whether you grew up in the cloistered, left-leaning bubble of Los Angeles or the cloistered, left-leaning bubble of New York doesn't really matter that much. They're not making things to entertain a mass audience; they're writing shows and characters to demonstrate that they are part of the in-group, that they know all the right signs and phrases, that they are a Good Person. Remember, being good only counts if you're doing it publicly, and to remind others that you are good, too. So, producing content on the assumption that the population as a whole has the same values as you do, that will in reality be completely alien to a large segment of the population who have never been to Los Angeles or New York, is not a recipe for relatable characters.
The second part... It has been said that the main difference between how the right and the left view the world is that the right believes that the left is misinformed, whereas the left believes that the right is evil. The left believes that anyone who doesn't think and believe and act exactly like they do is motivated by active, willful maliciousness, and literally nothing else. And this is borne out by studies where Democrats and Republicans were asked to fill out surveys based on how they thought that a member of the other party would answer; Republicans were spot-on on how Democrats would respond, while the Democrats were wrong far more often than they were right.
So, you, as a Good Person, are tasked with writing content which might be viewed by Bad People. What do you do? Why, you do what you do when someone of your own party misbehaves: You shun them, you mock them, you shame them. You trash them, and everything that they believe and everything they stand for. Because they are Bad People, and so the things that they like must be Bad Things, and so deserve to be dragged through the mud. After all, if the things that they liked were Good, then they would be Good People; they are Bad People because they like Bad Things, and the things that they like are Bad because they are Bad People, and around and around it goes. So, they write things which attack a large part of the population, and they mock and deride a lot of the things that said large segment of the population find important and valuable. And while, to the people on the left, such portrayals are cheered, to anyone not firmly in the LA or New York bubble, such portrayals come across as small-minded or mean-spirited.
At bottom, it comes down to this: They forget that, as storytellers, their first duty is to tell good stories. Not to preach, not to lecture, not to proselytize. To tell good stories, about interesting characters, doing interesting things. But when the only people that you know are boring, and the only things you do are boring, then you don't know how to write people and stories that people can relate to.

I hate when people posit this idea that both Levi and Zeke are purely products of their upbringings. This idea that if their positions had been reversed, Levi would have turned out like Zeke, and Zeke like Levi. I see this mostly argued by people who want to blame all of Zeke's actions on his upbringing, who claim that Zeke's disregard for life is a product of him being taught that his own life is worthless. These same people argue that because Kenny, of all people, taught Levi to value his own life, that that somehow, in Levi's mind, extended to all people's lives (never mind that Kenny was a serial killer who regularly immersed Levi in lessons about the cheapness of life by teaching him to take it for pleasure, or the fact that Levi grew up in an environment that daily demonstrated to him the cheapness of life, both from people above, and people below). In some desperate attempt to defend Zeke, these people want to credit Kenny for Levi's compassion. What irritates me so much about this, besides the obvious, is it supposes that Levi is self-centered and egotistical enough of a person that the only reason he cares about other people is because he cares about himself.
Since when has Levi ever displayed that kind of narcissistic tendency or self-interest? This is the same man who has no personal goal or ambition or dream, but instead dedicates himself wholly to the support and realization of other people's dreams. This is the same man who regularly puts his own life and his own comfort on the line for the sake of protecting others. Indeed, Levi has shown a dismissive attitude toward his own worth outside of his ability to help others, but he's never thought of other people as somehow unworthy or undeserving of his help or having their lives protected because of their inability to fight or be strong. There's multiple instances of Levi going out of his way to help or comfort others who have displayed weakness, helplessness or uncertainty in the face of danger or grief, to help others who need help. And so we can see his own sense of self-worth isn't in any way linked to how he views the worth of others.
Unlike Zeke, who doesn't lift a finger to help anyone or keep anyone from dying until Armin convinces him of his own life's worth.
I just hate when people try to brush Levi's goodness off as a product of his upbringing, as if Levi experienced some sort of privilege in his childhood that allowed him to turn out as this compassionate man. It completely undermines the suffering and deprivation Levi actually experienced, trying to paint it as something good, when all it was was a tragedy, and it also tries to rob Levi of the credit he deserves for turning out to be a good man, despite every experience in his life working against him on that front. It's not because of Levi's childhood that he's so compassionate and empathetic, it's in spite of it.
Anyway, yeah, just had to get that off my chest.
