What is it with people acting like they're being personally slighted by literally anyone else's choice to identify their own sexuality like... Oh, someone "claims to be bisexual" but has only dated the opposite sex? And??? "Well they're only doing it for clout" okay????

Listen, the only real way that whatever celebrity identifying as ~sexually fluid~ or whatever actually affects the rest of us is by normalizing it. It doesn't matter to me if they're "actually bi" or not because 1) it's none of my business and 2) plenty of bisexual people don't even come out for fear of not "truly" belonging. The only way to get to a world where bisexuals feel safe and accepted as their true authentic selves is to allow for one bisexual's experience and identity to look different from the rest.

Look. This might be an unpopular opinion, but as a bisexual I truly don't care if X celebrity comes out as bisexual and still only dates the opposite sex. Increased visibility for lgbtq+ identities will always be a good thing in my book because the more we allow people to be varied and flawed and human while openly identifying with certain sexualities, the closer we get to sexuality just being another facet of the human experience instead of this overly pathologized method of categorizing each other.
