following on from this. not to always bring marc into everything (sorry marc) but if assen 2015 had happened against jorge, valentino would have very likely pulled something similar again imo. rather than what he actually did, which is approach marc almost immediately for a nice normal friendly handshake and backing off during the podium celebrations. should be noted that during laguna seca '08, valentino was very much committed to yapping at casey on the podium with the world's biggest smuggest grin on his face

partly that disparity is because jorge not marc was the direct title rival, partly it's because valentino was treating marc with kid gloves right until the second that he wasn't, which marc was seemingly entirely oblivious to. if anyone other than marc had said what he said in that presser, had then continued on with similar rhetoric during sachsenring, valentino would quite likely have gone nuclear. he's done it over less than that. his fondness for marc made him continue to exhibit uncharacteristic restraint... except that fondness unfortunately is what left valentino feeling so very betrayed when (to his eyes) marc could not leave well enough alone

Marty McFly VS The Doc-pocalypse or smth like that idk

I put way too much effort into what was supposed to be a stupid doodle so uh. Have this Tumblr. I really don’t have a better explanation for this other than I got two more Doc Pop! Figures today, which leaves me with a growing army of 3 Docs and one singular Marty, and I keep laughing every time I look at them in my display case so here we have Marty dealing with multiple Docs from different times that have all somehow ended up in the garage in 1986. Four dimensional thinking has never been his strong suit, and trying to figure this out is not helping. He’s got two hours of sleep, a bajillion positive encouraging post-it notes from the Doc of the present telling him to sleep, hot chocolate, and four very enthusiastic Emmetts crowding the lab. Send help. And caffeine. And maybe Clara cause he’s not so sure he can keep them from blowing something up for much longer.

A brief reminder: Valerie, Jackson, Kai, Zoey, and Avery are Nektons, and Jason, Tim, Riley, Sammy, Davy, Charlotte, and Allan are all ‘pirates’. The Nekton kids all have the same last name, though I didn’t add that in. Kari took Ant’s last name and Nate took Fontaine’s because not only did he know how much the name meant to her, but he also thought Nekton sounded better with his name than ‘Clark’ did.

Marc monumentally lost the idgaf war in Assen 2015 like it wasn’t even micro expressions at that point he couldn’t even hide it. Like the micro expressions were there but you could tell he was in a bitchy mood after that race and honestly I found it hilarious he had more open facial expressions back then and I’m glad we’re getting that Marc back slowly.

assen 2015 INARGUABLY the moment marc realizes smth is. not chill in denmark. does he anticipate how buckshit nasty the rest of the season would play out of course not. but assen is the moment him and vale REALLY truly disagree for the first time that season like actually fr. marc's angry in argentina but its mostly a racing incident whatever. but ASSEN. put that pot on low and bring it to a simmerrrrrr.... he knowssss hes losing that title he SUSPECTS hes losing valentino, and he is categorically unable to be chill about either of those things in such a manner that he makes it all WORSE. they ask them postrace if the relationship has changed at all after that and vale smiles and says no of course not :) marc says no, BUT. and vale's head fucking WHIPPPPPS around to him. like they DO NOT communicate about these tensions directly fucking ever, so any step out of PR speak that is specifically designed to diffuse the presscorp narrative machine is genuinely a HUGE signal flareof tension and marc is just like. i think angry/frustrated about losing and decides to be truthful ! he's not thinking ! hes 22 ! and vale (again. had to swallow a LOT of pride at laguna seca 2013 and now marc is REFUSING to return the favor AND making a stink with race direction) goes. okay. so thats how its gonna be. and files that info away to be reviewed at a later date....

Hey I'm graduating college in may and I just kinda realized that I'll be Done Done with school after that. Not fake-done like I was graduating high school, where I'd have to go to college at the start of the fall. And not fake-done like I was in any of my semesters I took off.

Done Done. As in I accomplished my degree, and I won't ever have to go back to school if I don't want to. What a beautiful, beautiful thought.

a while ago i was discussing movies with my colleague at work and there was some nicolas cage film playing and he suggested i watch it and i was like "nah im good im not huge on cage" and mfer started listing off cage's films as masterpieces, starting with con air
