You groan as another email popped into your inbox, announcing its presence with a sharp ding that has been haunting you all week. Usually you had no issues with your job as it paid well and the work was relatively easily. However, this past week had you rethinking all those positive thoughts after being thrown onto a last minute project with a team that does not work well together. You've been having to come in much earlier than usual all week too, and now that it was Friday that exhaustion was catching up to you. Before clicking on the new emails demanding your attention, your eyes travel down to the corner of your laptop to find the time. 12:06 pm. Great.

You rub your eyes then take a deep breath as you work through the next tasks that needed to be completed this week. If you could just power through these last few hours then you could get home and spend the rest of the evening with Tomura, as Fridays were designated as movie nights for you two. You and Tomura had met in a random Discord server almost a year ago, bonding over a similar taste in video games and music. You two connected instantly, spending many of the early days of getting to know each other pulling all nighters to keep talking. However between the responsibilities in both your lives growing and Tomura being in a timezone hours ahead of your own, these all nighters got harder to do. That's why Friday movie nights were so special to you both, as it was a guaranteed day you both could be online all night and just sleep in the following day.

Buzz buzz. The vibration from your phone grabbed your attention away from the laptop you've been staring at for hours on end as you pulled it from your pocket to read the message.

After what felt like ages, the workday finally wrapped up and you could head home. A wave of energy washed over you as you skipped to your car, shooting Tomura a quick message before speeding off home.

As you make the drive back to your apartment, you can't stop thinking about that message. He had sent you mail before, but only twice for different holidays. Also, if he had bought you something he probably would have told you much earlier in the week so you could be expecting it. What could possibly be waiting for you today all of a sudden? And that's when you see the bag of food and drink sitting right outside your day, a DoorDash receipt stapled to the bag listing your favorite meal in a size large enough where you will definitely have leftover to enjoy tomorrow.

Tomura was happy you weren't on the call just yet as his cheeks were still flushed from your cute message. You grab your dinner, smiling and humming happily as you enter into your apartment. After kicking off your shoes and throwing on some comfortable clothes, you practically jump onto your bed to pull up the video call with Tomura.

"Thank you again for my dinner Tomu," you smile as the call connects. He offers you a small smile in return, avoiding direct eye contact as he works to pull up the movie he has picked out for tonight.

"It's really no big deal, I know how hard the week has been for you. And knowing your lazy ass, you probably wouldn't have even cooked dinner if I didn't order you it," he joked. You stuck your tongue out at him before taking another bite of the noodles, humming happily as the flavor and warmth enters your body. You're too focused on the food to notice the way Tomura watches you with a gentle expression. God you were too cute.

Before starting the movie, you ask him about his week. He shares with you how work has been treating him lately, and how band practices have been laster longer with an upcoming gig in their future. He shares some funny stories of his bandmates, making you giggle as you love hearing about his friends. You then share your latest work endeavors, how you finally finished that project up today and how earlier this week you and your friends went to the drive in movies since the weather has been warming up. All your worries and stresses just melted away whenever talking to Tomura. And he took note of it too, his heart beat quickening as your eyes lit up whenever you talked to him. You made him feel special in a way he'd never imagine someone could.

After a couple hours of conversations, though it felt more like twenty minutes, you and Tomura started up the movie. The movie was one that had been on both your watch lists for a while now, and Tomura felt it fit the vibe well as it featured the type of actions he enjoyed and many actors you adored. It's about half way through when Tomura looks away from the movie and over to you, excited to see your reactions to the latest plot development occurring. His eyes widen before letting out a chuckle at the sight of you fast asleep, mouth open and drooling slightly with your favorite stuffed animal in your arms. You must have been truly exhausted to have fallen asleep so quickly tonight, but Tomura didn't mind. You both had tomorrow off so could always rewatch the movie then, or even just play some video games. As long as he gets to spend time with you the details don't matter much.

As the movie wraps up, Tomura moves to stretch his arms and upper body. He then turns towards the window, watching as early morning sunlight begins filling the room slowly. He looks back over to you on the screen, smiling as you're still deep asleep and probably will be for the next few hours. He whispers "I love you" as he watches you before ending the call. Before he climbs into bed for a quick nap, he pulls out his phone and sends you a message.

Midoriya went home, took off his shoes, and greeted his mom. He went straight to his room and on the computer. Discord was already open and now Midoriya could finally relax, talk with his online friends, and forget about the struggles of his daily life.

While online he would mainly talk with his friends and moderate chats. He would always share fun facts about All Might and was constantly showing off his collection. A lot of people would turn to him when they needed to find specific merchandise. He was also an expert at spotting differences between bootlegs and official products.

He gets a notification, “@exsplosive_might111 has joined the server”

Midoriya immediately welcomed the new user and sends them the rules and verification process. Afterwards the new user posts an introduction. The introduction had quickly caught Midoriya’s attention since there weren't that many 13 year old boys like him in the server. This made him super excited and he started up a conversation with him as soon as possible.

They both challenged each other to see who had the most/rarest merchandise. Midoriya had more by a long shot, but they noticed that they both had the same limited edition holographic all might card.

They had stayed up talking all night. Despite it being a school night and the fact that Bakugou usually goes to bed early, they never stopped chatting. Midoriya, or his online nickname Mikumo, had told his new friend all about his life. He mentioned how he gets bullied but did not bring up that he is quirkless.

Bakugou, or nickname Aka (means red) had told “Mikumo” bits and pieces about his daily life. He felt bad for his new friend who was unfortunately getting bullied, but he felt guilty because Bakugou knows that he's a bully himself. They shared many things about themselves with each other. It was 3am before they had finally decided to go to bed.

Midoriya logged off of discord. He didn't expect to chat with the new user for so long, but he's glad that he did. Most of his online friends were much older than him so it was nice to be able to talk to someone his age and be able to relate to them.

Midoriya turned off his computer and put his phone to charge. He was really looking forward to the next day. Perhaps classes will be easier to sit through since now he has his new friend that he can talk to throughout the day. Midoriya just hopes that he's as active as him so they can talk all the time. He also got excited knowing that his new friend Aka could potentially live close to him. It's been so long since he last had a friend in person. His mom told him to never ever meet up with people he's met online, but Midoriya wouldn't mind meeting this guy sometime.

BONUS kirideku for the soul : Kirishima and Deku were friends on Discord in a hero server and did friendly debates on Crimson Riot vs. All Might. Kiri knew he was quirkless and didn't care because he liked him regardless. Kiri was really nice to him even though he didn't have a quirk, and deku developed a crush on him. They didn't know what the other looked like, simply that they were the same age and were both bullied at school, had similar interests, etc. When Kirishima told him he'd been accepted into UA, deku didn't tell him that he had as well, bc with all his sleuthing stuff, he ended up using a pseudonym online. If I have to see one more post going "men are so amazing, it's totally valid and revolutionary to love and prioritise the men in your life!! women (especially lesbians) are so mean and prejudiced about men and need to be nicer and check their biases", I'm going to..... well, I'm not going to do much but I'll be super annoyed and unfollow whoever puts it on my dash 🤣

Disclaimer: this isnt about anyone in my tumblr sphere lol you guys are cool. But anyway.....

I have many male acquaintances/casual friends IRL, through school. I tend to get along with people regardless of gender. And yet, YET, no matter how polite, friendly, funny, educated and smart they are, with most people (exceptions exist, but this is MOST people), there are inherent problems that come from existing in or alongside Guy Social Spaces as a woman. And Guy Social Spaces wouldn't exist without the guys that uphold them......

In my guy-dominated environment I actually manage to avoid most forms of (non-benevolent; benevolent sexism still sucks and makes me uncomfortable though, and I don't actively befriend guys irl because of how commonplace it is) sexism because I'm openly gay. Not being seen as an object of sexual interest and being able to fit into a bit of a "not like other girls" social role means that I don't actually have to deal with the baggage that comes with heterosexism and the heterosexual sphere (I use heterosexual to refer to all non-platonic relationships between men and women here, btw - for these purposes it doesnt matter what the sexualities of the people involved are). But like.......

I recently went to dinner with some girls and found out that the guys at my school - people that I've found all-around decent and extremely friendly and respectful to me - treat the women they date as objects. Like it's a conquest thing when they """bag""" a good-looking girl, and everyone (literally everyone) shakes hands and congratulates the guy for "getting" an attractive girlfriend. As if she's not right there (she was, she's the one who told me about what happened) and as if she didn't have 50% control of the decision to begin a relationship. And the way they talked about her body and appearance too... It's really gross and objectifying and I didn't know about this because I get to exist outside of it!! But that's really only one thing. Even outside of that, the way that people who don't have to worry about sexism or discrimination treat women and talk about them behind their backs manifests in a million small ways. And the thing is, these guys are ostensibly among "the good ones"!!! These people have intelligent conversations about social justice and equality in class and treat me with respect as a peer because I've proven both my academic and professional cred, that I can take a joke, that I'm funny, that I know enough nerd culture stuff to not be a boring ditzy fake. (The fact that these things are necessary for me to be seen as a peer is, by the way, fucked up.) But their progressive views just don't seem to apply to day-to-day social interactions and relationships....

So idk i dont think this is super eloquently put but yeah. Fuck you if you think being wary or bitching about people in places where they can't see it (ie tumblr rant posting) is a form of hatred lol. Especially when the patriarchy still exists....... you can't "guy positivity<333" yourself out of that one. I don't hate men but the people who say they do must have a reason to. And ugh about this one post that I hated in particular, I hate how it was formulated like "hating men hurts trans women too :(" bestie trans women suffer even more under the patriarchy because they (often) have to interact with guys (including sexist guys and Guy Spaces) growing up and might lose a lot of friends/have things go sour when they transition, I bet a lot of trans women online post about hating men too lol. (That latter point also goes for nonbinary people and guys who don't fit into Guy Spaces for some reason, or who don't perform masculinity in the hetero-ascribed way.) hmmm on advice it depends actually bc i study in the netherlands and we don't get graded on attendance. now this might seem like the worst advice ever, but i live by this: i would say try figuring out which classes are really of use because it saves you A LOT of time to skip the classes of no importance (like no joke, i've literally skipped classes just so i could stay at home and study, because i know i work better by myself); but obviously this goes out the window if u get graded for attendance because it'd be nice to be able and fall back on that.

me, personally, i did always do the readings we needed to do during the semester which helped me a lot and i would study based on old study material, so like exams from previous years etc. which were LIFE SAVERS because do believe exams are always similiar to old exams, so hopefully your teachers provide those for you and always try asking around with fellow students or students from a grade above you if they have anything saved, especially after covid a lot of people still have online exams etc.

i wasn't keen on doing homework except for subjects that are similiar to math or statistics, so it's really important for yourself to figure out what works for you because a lot of my friends have commented on how weird my study methods are LMAOO because i go all over the place

but yeah i wish i could give u better advice than "don't do all your work and skip classes" LMAOOO but honestly you get so much work thrown at you it almost feels impossible to do everything and for me it honestly has worked so much because i just know i wouldn't have had enough time to study if i didn't skip classes but this also just works out for me because we don't even have to attend our classes and don't get graded on it.

and honestly don't take college too seriously. try socialising with your classmates because having nice people around is what makes or breaks the experience in my opinion.

then, the fire nation boys from our class find us and since school's out and there're no teachers around (not that they were super helpful either way) they're free to start shit so that's exactly what they do. their favourite thing at that point was to do everything to imply that me and my friend were a couple and specifically that we were doing 'things'

one of them starts hollering from the other side of the road stuff like 'haha lesbian, lezzyy, lesbooough' but then gets elbowed by another boy who goes like 'dude she's not a lesbo, she's bi' and the boy then goes 'oh.'

and after that, for sake of accuracy?? they try to settle with just yelling 'bi, biiiiiiii' repeatedly but it doesn't end up being quite as catchy as the, y'know, real slurs

OKAY SO !!!! crush is this sapphic romcom that like i would never watch if it was straight but its one of those movies where EVERYONE is gay but two characters <3 anyways quick notes of the plot:

its set at a highschool where theres this girl, Paige who really REALLY likes this other girl, Gabby, who's on the track team.

Paige is an artist !!! she wants to do this summer programme at Calarts but cannot get her art Right for the like prompt they've used for her admission if that makes sense. like the art is not arting basically

anyways there's also this anonymous artist called Kingpun (the art has puns in it hence the name) around school who spray paints these cool murals but because its school property its an Issue. everyone thinks its paige but it isn't her

Paige is called to the principal and she's meant to be suspended as they're gonna blame her for the art on school property but she is forced instead to join an extracurricular activity + to work out who Kingpun actually is. obviously the loser picks track because of Gabby <333

anyways she ends up joining the team but she needs coaching, and instead of being coached by Gabby like she wanted, the team's coach forces her to be coached by AJ, Gabby's sister

Paige then goes to a party later in the week hosted by one of her friends because of another Kingpun art that hinted at them being there. she bumps into AJ trying to get away from another girl she's not interested in and they try and work out together who KP is but kinda fails. Gabby is there too and paige takes Many shots w her so she gets Drunk

the next morning for training practice w AJ they have a moment between the session Paige shows AJ some of her art and they talk about Calart n stuff and we find out Paige has never had a first kiss or anything like that and AJ is like "damn thats crazy" (not rlly but you get what i mean)

we see them like over a few weeks grow closer and closer and its like aww gay people <3

anyways but then they have this extremely gay scene where after practice AJ lets paige stand on her skateboard while they hold hands and she rolls her on it for a little while <3333 i love gay people

paige then spots KP's notebook (we know bc like. KP is written All Over It) and she messages them online and says she'll give it back to them that night at school

When they go that night its: Paige, the two straights that are dating that she's friends with, AJ and gabby and eventually when they're alone Paige and GABBY kiss and its very VERY awkward

after The kiss we see a car drive off very loudly and like Everyone knows its this one guy called Tim so we're like "YAYYYY we know who Kingpun is now time to tell the principal" but Paige also wants to confront him first

Then there's like this trip for the track team where they go off somewhere and they have to stay in this hotel for a championship thing idk . i cant remember why exactly that well but it ends with AJ and Paige sharing a room and bed

theres a party that night before the track thingy, we find out tim very much is Not KP and AJ and Paige have to play 7 minutes in heaven but instead its a bathroom and long story short they KITH <333

its then very awkward afterwards tho and like the scene right after paige asks if it'll be awkward later and aj is like "nah" it cuts to them being like ten metres away from each other in the bed its ridiculous true cinema tho <3

the two have another very heartwarming scene and we find out like how AJ came out as bi and shit and how badly her family took it at first in comparison to how well they took her sister coming out

Paige doesnt really sleep that night and she slips out to go to the vending machine she'd seen earlier and she's then met with a drunk Gabby trying to get some crisps out of the vending machine and failing terribly

Gabby attempts to kiss paige but paige moves away, saying she actually likes someone else now, and gabby kinda takes it badly but she's still kind of okay with it and goes back to her room

the next day Paige is PANICKING because she realises that aj thinks it was both of their first kisses but it Wasnt bc of Gabby and she wants to tell AJ but hasn't had a moment to

she and the track team do the race and they do well YAYYYy

but as they're celebrating gabby then wants to apologise, in front of the rest of the friends, about her drunk ass trying to kiss paige- but also mentions how it wouldn't have been their first time doing so

we see aj is hurt and paige wants to go and explain herself but then instead aj drops the bombshell that she is Kingpun and just . then leaves.

gabby and aj have a moment when we see just how much aj is overshadowed by gabby without her knowing and so on

aj and paige dont speak for what is probably like three days and to paige it feels like literally Forever and they have this conversation for like five mins and aj reveals she doesnt want to be paige's second choice in the whole scenario and doesnt really give paige a chance to actually explain

paige goes to the principal and is like "yeah im actually kingpun lol isnt that crazy" but it turns out aj had already handed HERSELF in for the whole situation

paige then comes up w a genius idea where she paints this huge ass mural in one night (i know damn well she did NOT sleep) where its like loads of different moments she had between aj that showed her falling in love w her and that ALSO qualifies for the calarts programme thingy

gabby brings aj BACK when this election for class president is happening and like one of the straight two wins and while everyone is like happy for the girl who won she then brings paige up and she talks to aj and shows her the mural and they KITH <3333

so yeah basically im gonna be converting this whole thing into a smau bc im not normal <3

OOOH. All my WIPs are listed in my pinned, as I'm sure you've figured out. I have quite a few BUT my biggest ones I've been actively working on are Reckless, my Daylight fic prompt, and Down For It.

Reckless is my Andreil accidental-parent AU I post about often, where Neil never gets recruited to the Foxes, keeps running and bumps into pro player Andrew. One year later, he's back on Andrew's doorstep and asking him to raise their daughter.

I'm ridiculously attached to this AU. 🤧

My Daylight prompt is a Superhero!Kevin & Supervillain!Andreil AU I've been developing for a fic fest. I don't wanna spoil too much, but Kevin is a part of a superhero group with Riko and Jean. And it goes unsaid, but there's more happening beneath the surface. Also, I binged The Boys and Gen V recently, so there's a biiit of inspo from there.

Down For It is a small fic I've been working on in between to avoid burnout, where Neil is online friends with Andrew and Kevin. He got adopted by Stuart and became a recluse after the trauma of his teenage years, meeting A&K through exy forums. It's a semi-chat fic until Andrew and Neil's eventual meeting and gets pretty NSFW.

My current favorite WIP is Reckless. I probably think about it an unhealthy amount but I've invested a lot of time into it and will ramble about it if you let me. It's just 75k and counting of these two figuring out parenthood.

For those who don't have context, i am trans, I am duosex, I went to a therapy place for free, and saw a therapist. He immediately started going through the criteria for dysphoria because I asked but we ran out of time. So I'm getting my diagnosis finished over the phone. It took me two appointments and $0 to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis. So stop acting like this is difficult or hurting anyone.

It's not hypocrisy to provide a safe space for a group and exclude people. You would provide a safe space for enben that has binary people in it? Because they aren't enby. Thus they don't need that space, and could fuck it up.

If you don't feel safe in your current mental state you could always check in at an ER and tell them you need help. You could also look around. Many places provide therapy for free. heyo i am a stats freak and got the "how is this index actually calculated?" kind of autism and noticed numbeo in your latest couple of posts so just a heads up - their data is crowd-sourced and largely not accurate! it's great at giving you a vague idea as to cost of living but it falls pretty flat in terms of more granular info like groceries and house prices. also the cost of living calculator doesn't take the purchasing power of an average salary into account, as far as i know it just compares it to new york. if you ever want to study the relationships between quality of life and geographical location (for research or, yknow, moving out lol) then numbeo does offer a qol index which gives you a way better idea of how "good" a place is to live in, and can be used as a proxy to better estimate the actual cost and quality of living there. but it's still kind of a mess. for example, their "safety" measurement is basically irrelevant, since it's based of an arbitrary test that people online can fill out (and yes, people have flooded the dataset with negative reviews of cities inflating their crime rates. sometimes for fun sometimes for some Very Racist Reasons). the metric for healthcare is based on a form people can fill out (again, 100% anonymously, 100% online, 100% with no verification) and it combines the scores to form a "healthcare rating" - what goes into that "healthcare rating" is very subjective and largely not something a patient could even know. "friendliness and courtesy of the staff"? this doesn't even vary from hospital to hospital, this shit varies from department to department. there is no fucking way a statement like "the medical staff in all of Turin, Italy is very unfriendly" has any merit. a score for "equipment for modern diagnosis and treatment"??? compared to what? does the average patient filling out some online survey know anything about state of the art medical equipment so that they can compare it to what they've been treated with????? LMAOAO questions we may never know the answers to…

even when writing romance i’ve noticed i’ll have one or two Kiss Scenes but for the most part i prefer showing love in other ways!! smth that’s always stuck with me is that if your characters need to kiss to prove to your readers that they’re in love, you didn’t do a good enough job writing their relationship. so personally even in my longest and most devastating love stories i hardly write Actual Romance!! i think the reason i don’t like shipping personally (again, full respect to anyone who does 💖) is because making the love between two characters explicit instead of implied often (to me) ruins the actual depth between them.

second selection trio is so so good!! and i agree barou’s development esp in the match vs reo kuni and chigiri was delightful to see. tbh when i first watched bllk i thought barou was a “baddie of the week” character who would only be relevant in the match against team x and then disappear entirely, so i was really excited to see him come back AND with a new and improved design (first selection barou kinda haunts me tbh why does he look like that…)

ohhhh i was talking abt the manga only!! i haven’t seen the colored illustrations but i agree the coat is a bit odd in them. i imagined it to be tan when i read the manga which i think fits him better than the bright blue but oh well it’s karasu he can pull anything off. he looked so cute in it in the manga!! when he took it off and went with just the turtleneck too…it really did give me such a lowkey but mature and elegant vibe!! like future businessman right there mr “if i randomly got 100 million yen i’d invest in index funds” bro is trying to be reo so bad DHSKSJSJ (speaking of which i do not fw reo’s fits he needs to hire a better personal stylist because some of those choices he makes are certainly. choices.)

HAHA yes i’ve seen that rin is supposed to be a blend of eren and mikasa!! i can def see it. i was heavily into aot back in 2021 though not much anymore actually which is why i immediately clocked the comparison!!

i know the karasu series is pretty fluffy and funny but i am actually first and foremost an angst lover!! i love writing absolutely heartbreaking stories they’re my favorite thing in the world. bllk is making me lose my edge though 😔 i need to get back to writing angst again…i think maybe i’m surprised by people being sad abt white butterfly because when i imagine angst it’s like death and inevitable ruin HAHAHHA but anyways i agree hiori def is a very layered character!! i’m excited to write more of him as well

oh my god the light novels are so sillyyyy 😭 when karasu made up an entire tragic backstory for himself just to mess w hiori??? he is so problematic i can’t even lie and the way hiori 100% believed him too had me bawling

everyone says they’re surprised that nagi is so tall wdym!! he is sooo teddy bear i think him being huge makes sm sense!! he has such big fluffy lazy dog vibes too…yk the kind that thinks it can fit on your lap despite being the size of a small horse 😭 like THAT is nagi to me

i fear rin will never escape his fanon characterization 😔 but yes i think the teasing/sassy side that people give him is actually much more in line w karasu’s personality, and him being super smooth and flirty is way more aiku than anything!! rin has like one insult that he uses for everyone he is NOT a sarcasm god i’m afraid 😰 and according to the egoist bible he knows he’s unfriendly but thinks if people don’t like that abt him they shouldn’t interact with him!! in my mind the extent of his flirting would just be him going nonverbal and being like 🌎👄🌎 at you from across the room LSJDOWNDWJ hopefully you are a mind reader because otherwise you are never finding out he has a crush

YESSS unfortunately i do have to go to the gym quite frequently because alongside being chronically online i ride horses competitively and go to parties and whatnot so the body must be maintained 😔 HAHA it’s like a double life omg sometimes random guys will try to flirt w me when i’m out w my friends and in the back of my mind i’ll just be like “oh he has NO idea I write reader insert fanfiction on tumblr dot com” 😭 once i was at a party and i just took out my phone and started responding to comments on ao3 instead of dancing or talking because i thought the music sucked and it was way too loud 😓
