Appleseed PDA montage to save you from reading endless pages of unimportant politics that don't amount to anything
also because I have nothing better to do, I'm bored, I'm moody, my gaming laptop is still broken so no BG3, and it's too late at night to start drawing after doing animation clean-up all day.

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#wen ning#wei wuxian#wen qing#jiang cheng#Truly Massive disclaimer here: I am a Jiang Cheng enjoyer. I like his character. I enjoy that he is very flawed and volatile.#This episode of the audio drama has a lot of great breakdown scenes featuring JC - and they all deserve a feature.#But underlying this comic is a small meta comment of 'ah man I have too many comics of JC just wailing sadly'#My goal is to draw 6-8 comics per episode - I sometimes have to truncate and cut good scenes out.#Especially when a large majority is just different flavours of trauma and toxic relationships to your self-worth.#I would also like to make a note here that just because you lose the ability to do something that is very tied to your core identity-#-does not mean your life is over. It will feel like the end of the world. It will send you into a spiral of grief. It will hurt so badly.#Sometimes we do not realize how tied up our identities can be in certain things until we are cut loose.#You don't lose yourself. I promise the pain will fade in time. I promise you will find other things to tether you. I promise you will be ok#Life moves forwards. Time moves forwards. You move forwards.#Ego death just means an opportunity for ego rebirth. You are never committed to being the same person forever.#To wrap this around to JC: Yeah I love the twist with the core transfer but man I would have loved to see JC accept the loss.#Obviously it happens for a reason (story) but I can have my AUs. I can have these 'what-ifs'.#described in alt text#I'm trying it out! *please* give me feedback - I want to eventually Add image ID to all of these comics one day

I bet that Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake, as the Batfamily’s resident corporate America breadwinners, have to occasionally go play a round of golf to keep up appearances with WE shareholders. The only problem is that they’re both fucking terrible at golf.
And when I say they’re bad, like, holy shit, they are really bad. For two people who often have to save the universe with their intelligence, concentration, and ability to effectuate incredibly complex, precision-reliant plans, they are both somehow really, really fucking awful at golf of all things.
Bruce, at least, has the Brucie Wayne disguise to hide how absolutely awful he is at golf. Which totally works for him, because he hates the reminder that he is inherently terrible at something. So, whenever he’s dragged out for a round with Lucius and the WE board members, he just pretends to get super drunk, act a little more clumsy then normal, and hits on the caddy until everyone just writes him off as too much of an ditz to put any effort into his golf swing. It drives Lucius nuts, because he actually likes golf and he thinks Bruce is just pretending to be bad as part of his cover for Batman—there is at least one occasion where he asks Bruce to show a little more decorum on the course and actually try to play, and Bruce just… blue screens. Because in reality he is actually horrible at golf and he needs the excuse of “dumbass Brucie Wayne” or his ego will implode.
Tim, however. Poor Tim.
Tim, unfortunately does not get to play the idiot to cover up his absolute shit golf game. (There is only so much room in the family for idiots and he has to keep up appearances as Jack and Janet Drake’s son.) As such, he avoids any and all golf courses as much as possible—but everyone once in a while there’s a potential merger or business deal he needs to discuss with someone important, and the best way to get the deal done is on a golf course. So Tim has to spend the next three and a half hours of his life torturing himself through a round of golf. (He ends up losing twelve balls, taking seven swings on a Par 3, somehow broke his putter, and tripped into a bunker.) The only upside is that his pure determination to actually finish the round, despite how godawful he is, is usually what actually convinces the investors/partner/board members agree to work out a deal with him.
But it’s best (or worse) when Bruce and Tim play golf together. It isn’t often—stories of their infamously terrible golf games means that most people will only invite one of them at a time—but inevitably they do end up on a course together at one point, and holy fuck, it is a miracle they don’t burn the place down.

A post about things I found out while prodding at DGS/The Great Ace Attorney character models
Ryunosuke's eyeballs are this weird shape. I've generally found that, with ripped 3d models from other games I've looked at, any seperately modelled eyeballs underneath people's eyelids are probably pleasant half-spheres. now i'm seeing something that's not that and it feels very strange. Sir your eyes are oblong

There are a bunch of little differences between Kazuma's uniform and everybody else's. Definitely on account of being the star student and local coolest guy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some more under the cut, starting with differences between Ryunosuke, Kazuma and Ryutaro's outfits that I found interesting:
There is a subtle "shape" on the back of each uniform. Kazuma's looks sorta like a star (like the University pin). The shape the other two have is a little more like a triangle.
Ryunosuke and Ryutaro wear their armbands on their right arm. Kazuma wears his on his left.
Ryunosuke and Ryutaro have two buttons on their sleeves. Kazuma has three.
Kazuma has an extra five-pointed star pin on his collar that the other two do not.
Kazuma has the sword at his left hip connected to a belt thing that probably has a proper name but I'm calling it a belt. When this sword is in Ryunosuke's care, Kazuma's headband is tied around its sheath, and it stays at the left hip but has no such belt. I have no choice but to conclude that Kazuma's headband is enchanted to create gravity defiance at all times.
(I have a lot of feelings on that headband being attached the sword like that. I'm not crying, you are)
Kazuma has nice boots
Ryutaro obviously has the cool hat and cloak that the other two only get to wear in cutscenes/artwork. There is nothing under Ryutaro's hat.
I have no idea what that thing on Ryunosuke's left hand is
While most of the outlines in Ace Attorney are done with a slightly bigger version of the character model and backface culling, various characters have nose lines that are pretty much "drawn on" with meshes (that are flipped based on the needs of the camera angle). Here I haven't moved them so it's easier to see. Neat to see the sort of methods they use to do this stuff
Tumblr media
I checked back at the DD models to see if they'd done this before and the answer is "yes but with a bit weirder implementation".
Van Zieks' wine seems to be only half red?

Starting to think many don't really know what a filler episode is if they think all of these are filler. A filler episode isn't just a one-off story, but normally something that just feels like it is utterly forgettable and disposable and mainly there to fill out the schedule because the writers didn't have any better ideas. Episodes like Move Along Home, The Storyteller, Second Sight, The Muse, Let He Who Is Without Sin, Resurrection, Profit and Lace, etc. The type of episodes many will just skip on a rewatch.
