-Remembers how T’Pring looked as she watched Spock & Chapel vanish into the bathroom together after seeing them kiss on the bridge (which she knew was for a mission and didn’t hold against them but perhaps she could sense something there since they do have feelings for one another), maybe attempting to calm herself and her suspicions as she’s left alone again (and later finds she’s been left out entirely this whole time) and how she doesn’t know that Spock almost told Chapel he loved her then and there, with T’Pring in the other room waiting, and how Amanda and Sevet both think she could have more confidence in herself and how T’Pring thought that she and Spock were in this together (her holding his hand, subtly letting him know to pour slower so the tea flowers would bloom correctly, a whispered ‘well done’, the ritual is over mother) and how mere hours after she expresses to Spock how she feels: Like he doesn’t trust her, like he doesn’t care to include her in his life, how she’s trying her best to show him that she will accept him wholly, how she wants to be his partner instead of an adversary or an obstacle, after all this he’s found Chapel within the hour and is kissing her.-
#I've seen people say 'it's not technically cheating because-' and once you've hit 'technically' in MY opinion it's pretty much cheating#'taking a break' isn't synonymous with being able to kiss/have sex with other people - that's something that needs to be discussed#in my opinion...BUT ALSO. Even STILL. Not even a goddamn DAY went by.#T'PRING!!!!!! #fave spotting#john levene#sergeant benton#doctor who#classic doctor who#the adventurer#I'll get there sometime#1973#itc#classic tv#Gene's private jet crops up a couple of times in the series‚ yet another example of how he's the greatest everything that ever did anything#it had a copilot in the other eps but not played by John; this ep requires a few lines from the copilot so perhaps that other actor wasn't#considered good enough at reading dialogue? who knows. certainly not me (and Pixley don't write a bible about this stupid show‚ your work#is needed on better things!). little for John to do here except sit in a cockpit and trade worried glances with Gene about bad weather and#plane problems; this was a holiday episode for Gene Barry‚ with just these few token scenes to include him (presumably coming as a blessed#relief to the crew who‚ by most accounts‚ couldn't stand him). it also allowed Catherine Schell (who Barry had had fired) to quickly return#and shoot enough scenes for a couple more episodes; despite Gene B's meddlings‚ the American backers liked her and wanted more of the#character. so we get this episode in which Gene is waylaid in his plane for the whole ep and it's up to his helpers (Schell‚ Garrick Hagon#as the longest lasting Stuart Damon replacement‚ and Barry Morse's Mr Parminter) to do all the adventuring and save the day without Mr#Amazing. Parminter is a curious character; he starts the series as a sort of semi mysterious spy master who calls on Gene for favours and#often knows more than he's telling. abruptly his character shifts completely about half way thru the series and becomes a buffoonish#ministry type who stumbles through cases and fights and has to be shepherded by his long suffering subordinates Hagon and Schell#it's most dramatic here‚ where he's positively idiotic. you'd be tempted to think Morse was simply giving up or playing with the part now#the series was well underway (and Gene wasn't around to shout) but in interviews he actually complained about how the character was#lobotomised by the scripts‚ so this isn't coming from him. who knows? maybe the writers themselves were trying to tank the show#certainly nobody seems to have had a very good time making it (Gene B flatly refused to be interviewed by network for their dvd release..)

#marquilla#theres many things contributing to this ranging from small and really insignificant but my brain is blowing out of#proportion bc autism shit like my usual tv channel COMPLETELY changing up the tv schedule and its pissing me off#bc i use that channel to tell what fucking time it is so im not constantly watching the clock and i like the consistency of the same#shows being on at the the same time! for at LEAST the past 5 years it has been:#3pm cold case. 4pm unforgettable (or that one month it was weirdly murder she wrote) 5pm rizzoli and isles. 6 and 7pm were the closer. 8 and#9pm were major crimes (which is the direct continuation/spin off of the closer. the last ep of the closer is the basis for the first ep of#major crimes) 10pm rizzoli and isles again#i usually only watch from 2-5 but i leave it on all day in the other room as background noise BUT NOW IT'S CHANGING#and some of it is NewLady and how theyre changing the way clothing is at work AGAIN#and MORE shit both online and irl personal shit but im just gonna scream#like some i cant talk ab bc its really personal but some of it is just so frustrating its like talking to a brick wall that you wanna smash#into bits

#the brain has decided the next hyperfixation is smallville/clois so i will do a proper first watch of the first 7 seasons (and some s8 eps-#(i was 7 when this show came out and then at 15 one day when i was off school they had an s8 rerun going because s9 started#can't remember if i watched some beginning eps or started with committed-ICON EP but then i watched all of s9 i think or started from rabid#then all of s10...clois had me hooked with the chemistry plus it was superman so)#and then a rewatch of half o 8 9 and 10#i did try to start it 2 years ago or something when it was playing on tv but it kept glitching back to the start ep so i gave up#i went from watching one clois video out of nowhere and the brain wants to watch it#ffs lois doesnt show up until s4#might try and watch 3 eps of the 3 seasons because i want to get to her seasons faster#who knows maybe i'll gif something#also the 90s lois and clark show is in my mind too...i did catch a bit of that when i was young and loved that too#and the christopher reeves movies#i wont talk about the 2005 and the other one those didn't really hold my interest as much from what i remember

Teacher mentioned Dr. House today in class and I had to pretend to be unaffected by that
#yeah sure other people watched house too but none of them were 11 year old with no autistic characters to relate to back in the day#meanwhile i was so desperate for someone to relate to that I thought this man might be an asshole but people also treat him like shit#and they don't understand him so guess I'll watch this#and the house series final changed how i look at series finals forever like I was just so impressed by it#she didn't even remember his name she went the doctor from the TV show who also is addicted to substances#it was during law class we're studying laws about illegal drugs at the moment#the watching house md to studying smth with pharmacy pipeline#house md#also in my mind house will always be autistic (and so are wilson and cuddy that's why they all always hang out together)#yes I am aware of the autism episode (first time I saw a character who was my age at that time who was kinda like me) and that the ep said#that house is just a jerk#but he can be autistic and an asshole he does not have to be limited to being just one thing#not me gatekeeping house md from a bunch of other people in their 20s during school hours someone stop me next time

why are the subtitles on netflix different (apparently) depending whether i'm watching on my pc or my tv. who does that. and for why.

It makes me a bit upset knowing that so many people just abhor the second game and there is now an opportunity to change that sentiment with a new and compelling story and it just won’t happen.
#payton watches: the last of us#payton watches tv#the last of us#the last of us spoilers#like yes I understand that it’s showing the darker side of love but we’ve already gotten a bit of that in the first game/show#there’s a way to tell a story with Abby and Lev that’s not straight from the second game#there’s a reason why people hate the second game so much and part of it is because it takes away from what the message of the first one was#I don’t know I think it could be a neat story to see all of these different communities trying to come together to re-establish order#I was in the dhall the other day talking to a friend about the left behind ep and some guy overheard#and he asked if the show was good and we were like yeah and he talked about how he fucking hated the second game#there’s a chance to tell compelling stories without completely losing your audience#because is it worth it to tell that story again if no one is going to listen/if you’re going to lose your audience?#it’s also a question of is this the most effective way to tell this story?

there's such a jarring difference in watching dating reality tv when you're single vs in a healthy relationship
when i was single i watched it almost as an exposure therapy to people being vulnerable and performing romantic gestures, and while i had many moments of "no! that is not how we communicate with our partners!" and awareness of the hilariously compressed timelines of these shows, i was not overwhelmed in cringe
now, while i don't have any more romantic experience than the people in these shows (tho i may have plenty more communicating-in-healthy-ways experience), the romantic performance is thrillingly novel, the vulnerability is alarmingly rushed, and it's overall not as interesting to watch
#potential other thing is love is blind isn't as good as it was the first season or two#but that doesn't seem likely i think this was always beautifully gilded trash tv#about people who can't communicate effectively in no small part bc of the demands of filming#and getting engaged in ten days and married a month later#anyway i was super bored and thought i'd give myself a lil girls night by myself w/ my stuffed animal pabo#and watched ep 1 from the new season#and i was excited to see some mid-30s folks really vibe with each other#but at the end of the ep she falls asleep at an inopportune time#and he's so so upset he thought she left#like i think one thing that is never addressed in love is blind is body language#and basic knowledge such as MY DATE FELL ASLEEP#lots of people would feel dismissed by that but also i think it could be an indication of someone's comfort with you#other than they're not actually in each others' presence#anyway what i was getting around to#is i was screaming at production#please tell him she's asleep#he deserves to know she's asleep she didn't ditch him#anyway this show stresses me out more since really coming to terms with the level at which i'm impacted by other people's movement#how you stand how you eat how you position yourself in relation to other people on and on#right what i didn't get around to saying was i was hoping bc this couple was older#they'd. act grown#but of course not#of course no one is acting grown on this show
