#honkai star rail #hsr blade #gallagher #i based this off of how many times i used funny soda man to help be a healer with his poppin soda pop in SU #and then blade constantly just being blade as usual #its normally him saying unnecessary to my actual healer but #i kept forgetting gallagher heals and i kept healing when i didnt even need to so TECHNICALLY yeah it was unnecessary #but the amount of times blade was the recipient......#i cant use like most of my newer units in story bc i cant ascend or i run out of leveling mats so i just #get them and toss them into simulated universe for funsies cause i can match their levels better #so thats where i tossed gallagher and he is genuinely fun to play as ? like i love his punches and kicks to start the battle #funny soda man is funny (to me) and im really behind in plot still #but last time i tried to play it on my laptop and got a kickass cutscene my laptop lagged and i couldnt even see it RIP to me #so now that its like ... me trying to play it on desktop ?#i mostly get on desktop for comms and if i do much else i feel like im slacking off even if i would take a break anyway #one day i can play more story plot stuff and actually meet the funny guys #also in case you know me for Not Having Boys in HSR i need to point out #i did pull Gallagher however same 10 pull got a 4 star girl copy for someone i never use and she is at e4 now cool #and i didnt even think of the irony as i started this i just like drawing blade and i wanted to draw gallagher #so when i already had the dialogue planned and am drawing i was like OH WAIT haha im funnier than i thought #(no i am not but we can pretend)

#aikotoweek2024 #aikoto #minaigis #makoto yuki #minato arisato #aigis #aigis p3 #my art #happy (very) belated day one of aikoto week!#i underestimated how long each of the drawings would take #so i've fallen a bit behind #but it's cool! i'm having fun anyway #i find minato and aigis' first meeting pretty interesting #because of how it's portrayed differently depending on adaptation #like in the movies and stageplay aigis is introduced #during a shadow attack after takeba's recording is shown #i like that interpretation since it shows aigis' abilities as an anti-shadow weapon very well #however i prefer the original game's version #in the game when minato first meets/sees aigis he sees her as a human #and when he is dying and she is the last thing he sees. he again sees her as fully human (as shown in FES cutscenes)#and there's something so beautiful about that to me. so i prefer the game's version for that parallel alone #anyway! aikoto rocks #p3 #persona 3 #persona 3 fanart

How are things going with the Legacy Collecti-- Liberation Battles.

See unlike my brother, I have poor netbattling reflexes and second-guess myself a whole bunch. But it's okay, after enough painful trial-n-error (and exploding Navis) we'll get over that learning curve.

On the plus side, it's fun to group everyone together on the map. I know there are strategies for that, but I like to do it for "moral support".

HELLO???????????????????????????????????#that was a really good update . a little clunky in those transitions sometimes but ooooh boy that came together GOOD #jiaoqiu nearly sent me into hysterics i was so upset . and flabbergasted. mostly flabbergasted #also the part where hoolay let him go for a little bit and you had the option to try asking for help #with severe consequences to be reaped afterwards. that was so nervewracking #i ended up doing it once out of curiosity and immediately regretted it and was horribly anxious the rest of the time i was running around #and yeah those consequences sure do. Consequence #props to the writers and stuff for that one that was great i felt ill #FEIXIAO... GOD FEIXIAOOOOO OHHHH BOY I LOVE HERRR what a great character #i hoped and i prayed and i dreamed for a deep dive into her condition and not a vague gloss-over as hyv loves to do AND I GOT IT #moze didn't do enough tricks (aka just . being a part of the story and interacting with other characters) for me to care about him still #it's like #the yaoqing trio: yay yahoo yippee WOOOO YAYYYY #moze by himself: closes my eyes forever #DO MORE TRICKS FOR ME #lingsha's pretty cool. i will save her from her bad design #oh oh oh YANQING!!!!!!!!!! USING WHAT JINGLIU TAUGHT HIM AND IMMOBILIZING HOOLAY ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!!! #kingdom hearts dream drop distance #khddd #la cite des cloches #scenery #my gif #the battle music that plays here creates such a cool and grand atmosphere #i'm so used to spending most of my time in the town or at the cathedral that i forget how dark and gloomy this world can be #sora has to walk past thousands upon thousands of skeletal remains and we don't even get a single cutscene of him reacting to any of it #but i like that there are at least some big open spaces that let you go crazy with flowmotion and climb up the tall buildings and towers #and that you can actually climb up the cathedral from the town square below #but one of my favorite parts in the whole game is playing through riku's side of the story in this world #i love the themes it explores and the insight it provides for his character. so good

i bring a sort of "i don't want to draw the keyblade" vibe that my combat-centric animations really don't like

#a few of these shots are like 'yeah the keys are mostly done. suspicious lack of hands tho'#at this point i should just print out the starlight upgrades so i'll always have the reference on hand #future me's problem! present me's gonna SLEEP #talking tag #future me four days later reporting in: the keyblades are drawn and i am reusing the HELL outta them #there's something really neat abt skuld and eph having the upgrade with the crescent moon tip #whereas the upgrade in the cutscene provided by the wayfinder project gives player the next level of upgrade #that being the one with the additional gold detailing and the sun shaped tip #i think that's a REALLY cool choice to show not only how much player's become a formidable fighter #but that it makes their darkness ploy REALLY ironic when they're wielding a weapon with the most light-associated insignia #or under a similar reading; that their weapon betrays how they're actually fighting for the side of light (or even!#that it's not the light they're fighting for; it's skuld and ephemer. and they'll align themselves with darkness #if it means they both make it out alive)#it's such a self-serving choice that i adore to bits!

(for the record drawing these i was picturing them Pre messy breakup because it's even funnier for me to imagine them just being utterly awful right from the get-go)
