Anywho, I think that Titan!Luz was the perfect way to finish this off, as well as being very fitting of The World. The World often has themes of freedom of the self, triumph, grace, and moving forward. Titan!Luz seemed a perfect fit because she finally realizes that she isn't like Belos, confronts her fears and triumphs over them, and she can move forward to help the Boiling Isles, as well as growing as a witch who is more confident, loved, and cared for, and able to realize she deserves the love and care.

This feels like a nice continuation from The Star card, the owl house seems to fit oddly well in tarot lol

I couldn’t resist the art vs artist trend!!! What a whirlwind of a year 2024 has been!

So many moments of joy and excitement, challenges to face! I feel like I’ve grown so much, both artistically and as a person. To me, this year feels like a breakthrough!

Art-wise, I got more comfortable with backgrounds, and they started appearing so much more often in my comics. It’s wonderful to look back on them and still feel proud of those panels. This year also saw the introduction of new dragon characters with diverse personalities and shapes! We witnessed Hopper and Swordfish slowly growing into sliiiightly more regal-looking wyrms, both in appearance and personality. My style has definitely shifted to a more mature and refined place. This feels only natural, and I can’t wait to see how my art and dragons evolve in the year to come!

In 2024, I also launched my very own store, a pin pack of Swordfish and Hopper, and a dragon plushie! I posted more often than I did last year, but it’s my hope and goal for 2025 to share even more consistently.

Creativity isn’t something to force, so I won’t be too hard on myself if I fall short of this goal. Instead, I want to keep working on finding a balance between my art and life. It’s an ongoing journey, and while I know I’ll never achieve a perfect balance (because life ebbs and flows), I can keep moving closer to a version of it that feels right for me.

Here’s to 2025!! And lots more dragons!!! Thank you for sticking with me on this journey!

Happy New Year everyone! One more part (hopefully) to moon 21 after this one! This year I’m going to REALLY strive to get to moon 50. Last year, this comic was my main art project. This year, that is Not the case, so in order to get to moon 50 I’ll have to try and rein myself in when it comes to the amount of detail and length these moons are taking up… BUT that being said, I put CRAZY effort into this moon and I’m actually super pleased with the result (Insanity)

Going forward, I’ll hopefully get an update out every other week! Ill also probably not put as much artwork into asks as I normally do, so feel free to send me any text-forward asks!

As for my main art project of 2025, I’m doing a 200 oc drawing art challenge on my main account @justSimplySpace, so stick around perhaps to see how that goes 👀

Sketch dump! Vol. 5

September 2022 (Part 1/2)

The first piece on top summarised my cosplay rush for Tracon 2022! The second is an old idea for a charm.

"SURPRISE!!"

Back in 2022 I hosted an art raffle for reaching 777 followers on Twitter! The winner would get their submas themed idea realised (which was their friends throwing a surprise party for the twins!). I wanted to make a little comic and have the bosses walk in their office where depot agents, Elesa, Drayden, Skyla, Clay etc. would be waiting with decorations and treats and games.

Emmet is all smiles of course while Ingo gets so emotional he could only whisper a "super bravo".

Not really headcanons anymore but still funny ideas.

1. Emmet gets clumsy when off-rhythm! He starts walking in curves if there is nobody else around to match his rhythm with.

2. Emmet spaces out/forgets to say things aloud when someone speaks too long or when things go off-script! His thinking gets interrupted easily.

3. Ingo sometimes bumps into doors because he is too used to automatic doors!

4. When things go off-script Ingo speaks too much and rushes in straight lines"

Also my little inexpensive sketchbook & my trusty tools! Mechanical pencil and eraser pen are life when scribbling my skrimblos smaller than a postage stamp!

More Ingo~ I utilise a wide range of sources for references, including CSP's poseable 3D models, they can come really handy with perspectives and proportions!

The second piece is my very first attempt at cosplay in Tracon 2022: Blingo! I walked in with a sequin hat, leather jacket, leather pants and high heel patent leather boots.

The hardest part of cosplaying Ingo is remembering NOT to smile ahaha!

I drew these for a huge submas art collaboration over Twitter hosted by @/mimizukeii!! It was technically my first art collab before I started arranging them myself with Aggie/Magma.

While looking for train related songs I found this cute nursery rhyme to go with the marching:

"Over the mountains,

Over the plains,

Over the rivers,

Here come the trains.

Carrying passengers,

Carrying mail,

Bringing their precious loads In without fail"

I wanted to compare these silly twins, planning to do something more silly with them later. Also a sketch of @/fukurow's butler designs I never finished.. The capes compliment them so well, I love them!!

Prequel to this piece! Emmet is so confident in himself he thinks Pierce wants to learn from him but is invited for a duet on the stage instead!!

Emmet has really great voice actors in Pokemas! I especially love how his english VA gives him that bri'ish/posh/sophisticated vibe while also soft and melodic! I know for SURE this VA/Emmet can sing, I can show you later!

One of my favourite sketches!! I wanted to add a bunch of characters in the BG reacting to this sonic blast of emotion over a performance!

Heyyy it's the smile buddies comic!! I really hope Ingo gets to interact with Marnie in Pokemas one day!!

I feel Ingo's eyes in the mirror panel is a little off in the final comic, I meant to keep it softer like in the sketch!

It's Nimbasa trio!! Idea inspired by submas EX uniform colors. Might continue this later!

Some BG tests for this piece! Compositing is hard but absolutely worth the effort, it can make a huge difference in the appeal of your piece!!

Practise piece drawing over a photo I thought was cool! I want to get more experimental with lighting and perspective!

Sketch for this arguing scene! Something REALLY BAD needs to happen for them to end up that tense! Even if I want to present them close to the canon material I still want to put them in really challenging situations to see how far I can push their emotions!

The cutest vampire ever!!!!!!!! 🦇

Ik october is like THE month of art challenges (forever blaming the Inktober guy) but unfortunately i've never succeeded in partaking in any of them the last like 8 years BUT i still wanted to draw something in celebration of the month!!

So i drew Ominis! As a vampire!!! For Halloween!!!!

I felt like i was so focused on trying to draw him correctly by looking at references and following them and i could feel my art style losing its flair a little because i'm really not used to realism 😖😖

This piece was a nice break from it all, and I'm happy with how it turned out, even though it's a little messy :'D

This is also why every comic part i made is different from one another and how it's never the same style. Trust me, i am very painfully aware of it lol... but I have to remind myself not to take it too seriously and prioritize on trying new things and having fun!!

Ah yes, the aforementioned comic I was scheming up that one summer I had theater camp and always arrived five hours before it started (due to my parent having a librarian job in the area lol). Hence why I even had the time to make this silly concept into comic form. However it was never finished or continued as you’ve probably figured by now :P

Funny enough though I have leftover digital sketches for the initial conceptualization of these panels and the dialogue, which were never released once I finished the pages to be more refined. Think it’s neat to see the sketchy process tho. And since I’m not continuing it, might as well dump unfinished work or else it’ll just rot in my photos

These were part of the initial comic linked, before I redrew it and placed into comic boxes with background outlines

And this was part of the secondary comic prequel that I released. The dialogue got changed up and shortened quite a bit

And I think this was an alternative version to the second image in this sequence? Because it just kinda restates what was already said but different wording

I don't remember when was the last time I had this much joy with making art like with this piece. I never needed to draw fanarts or making any other fan works but damn transformers did something to me. I've struggled with art block for the last few years and with this challenge I realised i've finally started to heal.

I want to thank all the amazing artists for making amazing job, especially you, @cookieclover, reading your angsty comic is a really freeing experience. I don't know how to describe that feeling, i find comfort in art that emotionally hurts me. Thank you, thank you so so much for making this comic.

You ripped out my heart like sentel bee's voice box and made me do art, take this picture that I poured my soul into and go, have an amazing life and create more amazing art.

Lando Norris x reader

Word count: 1.4k Short for once

Warnings: This is only smut, size kink

Notes: This is just.. smut, the first time ever I managed to not write a lot of plot but I still can't skip the plot completely, I don't know why. I got an ick on myself writing this 👽

The sun was going down for the day, the soft light lingering on the horizon casting the most beautiful light over the city. The sea just outside of the marina reflecting the pink orange sky. The boats wagging gently in the wind and the low shadows of the city. It was like an artwork, playing just in front of you.

That was how it had all started, you wanting to go out to look at the sunset. Lando had other desires.

He had just about let you watch the last light disappear before he had practically jumped you, hence why you were now sprawled out in his big comfy bed.

Lando had just come home for the summer break and the both of you felt touch starved. It was hard to not be together as much as you would've wanted because of his profession and your studies, but in this moment it was all worth it.

His body on yours felt like home, comforting in a way you had missed deeply the last couple of weeks. His goofy smile, wide eyes and smug little lines could drive you crazy but in this moment you craved it, wanted it all. It was all so Lando it would've felt wrong if sex with him didn't include it by now.

His body covered yours completely, he wasn' the biggest guy, technically. But the way his body bulged with strength and broadness made him feel so much bigger than you. He had filled out even more during the start of the summer, arms insanely hot and his back flexing at every move.

You were gawking even more than usual.

"Fuck you look so pretty" he whispered, one of his hands sprawled over your throat. Not applying any pressure, just using it to tilt your head up as he worked his mouth over your neck with great excitement.

You couldn't help but giggle over his eager mouth, completely devouring the skin you revealed for him. He was so touchy and itchy it was comical.

"Poor baby" you hummed teasingly, one of your hands gently scratching his scalp which made him moan out loud against your skin

It made you giggle even more "Poor baby is all touch starved" you teased further and this time Lando protested, his teeth gently scraping against your skin in warning, hand tightening ever so lightly around your throat and it made you moan softly

It was clear that he wanted to take command tonight, you didn't mind it, not one bit. All kinds of sex with Lando was great. You loved being in command every now and then, loving the way he would submit and beg for you but you also loved letting Lando take that control. It was something so thrilling and exciting about giving away the reins. But regardless if it was hot and rough or just sweet and intimate it was all great. Lando was great, in more areas than sex.

"Don't be a brat" he hummed, licking over the sensitive skin his teeth had grazed over before he worked his way up your jaw again, eyes staring into yours with challenge.

You didn't put up a fight, just pressed your lips against his with a small sound, letting him be in demand, telling him it was okay.

Lando didn't waste any time, his hand on your throat wandering downwards, just momentarily stopping to gently twist your nipples before moving further down.

Your whole body twitched as his fingers made contact with your clit, gently spreading the wetness that'd gathered around.

"All this cockiness whilst you're dripping for me hm?" Lando mocked, one of his fingers sliding into you with practiced movements.

The moan broke in half as it slipped out, your whole body feeling like a tight string as he gently moved the digit inside of you. He watched you with full attention, bottom lip trapped between his teeth. Moving one and then two fingers in the way he knew drove you insane.

Your patience ran out quickly, your eyes telling him that much but he only chuckled, waving you off and adding a third finger. The feeling was nice, real nice but you wanted something else and he knew exactly what. But of course, this was Lando, he would touch you and tease you and prep you for how long he wanted to. He loved to be in charge just as much as you did, and he loved it even more when he had to fight for it.

To your happiness Lando was not his most patient self tonight either so rather soon he slipped his fingers out, unceremoniously dragging them over the sheet to get the wetness off. You would nag him about it if you weren't so needy for him.

It felt better than ever when he stilled inside you, stretching you to a point near too much but just on the edge. Your eyes fluttered as his body covered yours again, pressing into your body making you feel smaller than you actually were.

The words, your so big itched on your tongue but even in your high state you couldn't bring yourself to say it out loud even if that was the only thought in your head right now.

"Taking it so good" he murmured, moving gently as his hand rested on your hip "you always do"

The words made you spiral, a soft moan leaving your swollen lips and he grinned down at you.

He gradually picked up his pace, soon enough slamming inside of you with such force that made your eyes roll. His hands rubbed over your stomach, touching over the place he knew you could feel him. Smirking cockily "You are so fucking tight baby, bet I could feel myself inside of you pretty"

You moaned at his muttered filth, arching into his hold with a soft moan. When you felt his hand press down on your stomach you spiraled even further, eyes fluttering as your mouth hung open. You opened your eyes just enough to see how Lando threw his head backwards, moaning softly before his head fell forward again

"Fuck, even tighter like this"

His words made your whole body tingle, squirming from the overwhelming pleasure and sensations. His thrusts felt never ending.

"Tell me how good you feel” he muttered breathily but you were too enraptured in the pleasure to even recognise his words. "Y/n" he warned, gently wrapping one of his large hands around your throat again, not putting pressure just holding there to get your attention "Tell me" he muttered "how good you feel"

A pornographic whine left your mouth, feeling like your brain couldn't catch up. "So good Lan" you moaned, hoping he didn't want more than that cause there were no more coherent words on your tongue.

He didn't, too wrapped up in the feelings to actually care about the words, just wanting to hear something from you.

He was close, you knew it in the way he tensed in his shoulders, his breathing even more ragged then before and hips stuttering slightly.

When you finally tipped over the edge, with Lando close behind it felt like your whole body, strung on that tight rope, finally snapped. Relief taking its place, spreading through your veins in a way that made your whole body go limp.

Lando collapsed on top of you with a groan, breathing heavier than when he was doing his insane workout routine, something you would poke fun at him for if it wasn't for how exhausted you felt.

"Okay?" Lando mumbled after a moment, sliding down next to you with a low grumble, his face pressing into your neck, hugging you close.

"Perfect" you mumbled back, nuzzling back into your boyfriend's soft skin as you both drifted off to sleep, cleaning up was tomorrow's problem.

I'm going to be asking a lot of artists I follow this question, but how did you develop your style? It SEEMS like most people find their style and stick with it forever, just making improvements and iterations. I tend to work in a lot of different styles because I enjoy doing that, though I know there are things I gravitate towards as well. But I wonder what your journey was and how you got feedback and improved while staying true to what you enjoyed?

Hi there!

I definitely wouldn't say that I've found my style and stuck with it forever-- I feel like each of my projects has asked for a certain kind of art, and has presented new challenges that push me in new directions.

Some of that comes from seeing someone else's work and having something click into place that might fix errors/faults in my own, and then I might try to incorporate that, such as bigger outlines on my characters to help distinguish them from the background, or maybe a way someone else simplifies eyes that can help make mine look less weird.

When I first started drawing, I can see where I encountered certain influences because my sketchbooks suddenly switch to incorporating some new stylistic element that I liked from whatever I was reading/watching at the time. But it was never QUITE right, it was never just copying, there was always something ~wrong~ with it. And that wrongness was my style! As much as I hated it, that was what distinguished my art from being just a copy of someone else's. I hate it less now, and understand that other people see something there that maybe I don't, because it's just what happens when I filter other people's work through my head. My soul, if you will.

There are definitely through-lines with my work, driven by what I like drawing and what comes easily to me-- hatching is almost always a major component, and I like making expressive characters. Here's some of my earliest available stuff, from my old webcomic:

Then not long after that, I started The Last Halloween, which pushed me to challenge myself in both layout and style:

And here's a series I did for kids, where I had to use full color and lay off on the hatching, as well as learn how to reconstruct animals that we have no photo references for, which is definitely a place where style comes majorly into play, whether I wanted it to or not:

Then there was the horror book I did, where I tried to push my work to be less cartoony overall, and to work very hard on improving my hatching:

Then I started work on Scarlet Hollow, where I incorporated a limited/muted palette and had to once again push myself to make less-cartoony art, as well as learn more consistency so I could draw sprite sets. This was a big challenge for me, and has helped me grow as an artist so much!

And most recently, I wrapped up work on Slay the Princess, which required that I go back in the cartoony direction, but in a very different way than I was used to. This took a lot of sketching to figure out, and there's still a decent amount of artistic stumbling in Chapter 1 while I settled into it.

She's drawing on anime/Disney influence, but each Princess required a bit of stylistic variability. Some are more anime, while some are more realistic than even the Scarlet Hollow characters.

So I wouldn't worry too much, honestly! A person's style is often something that reveals itself over the course of their career, rather than something they choose and then try to stick to forever.

Even if you don't think you have a style, you do. It might vary a lot piece by piece, especially if you're trying to closely imitate another person's art, but the more work you do, the more you'll figure out your own strengths and interests!

this is kind of a hashtag summaryofart but also kind of a hashtag artvsartist because i put myself at the end i guess whatever i cant be assed to do two of these grids. end of year thoughts under da cut

i didn't have a lot of free time for leisure drawing this year... i feel like i say that EVERY year but idk looking back at my tumblr archive.. its not lookin great. I really worked my ass off at my day job most of this year like the show i was on was pretty challenging and kept my brain churning on it even after hours. plus every freelance job i did this year.. PLUS the fact that I did I think 10 (if im counting right?) conventions/tabling events?? I feel like I did a lot of merch prep to fill out con tables and such but i really long to do bigger illustrations and comics and i didn't really get the time to.. I'm actually planning to do less cons next year because I think I did too many haha. for the first time I'm feeling the temptation to fill out these "summary of art" memes with a big NDA square or whatever because I'm really proud of a lot of the art i made this year but.. unfortunately ...i can't show any of it! at least not yet. I've always thought the nda joke was just an excuse made by artists who feel ashamed about not drawing outside work (or smug about having paid gigs). and in a way i still think that but for once i can empathize a little lol. While I didn't get to spend as much time on personal work as I wanted this year... I'm still kinda proud of the stuff I did make! I spent a lot of 2023 when I was unemployed going to figure drawing sessions and I think it really paid off, I feel a lot better about my character drawing now. Not... not 100% confident but a lot better than I used to feel about it haha. like i didn't really draw that many bgs here bc i drew so many bgs at work I didn't have the energy for it.. but the characters actually look good i think so! I'm happy about that.
