Ah yes, the aforementioned comic I was scheming up that one summer I had theater camp and always arrived five hours before it started (due to my parent having a librarian job in the area lol). Hence why I even had the time to make this silly concept into comic form. However it was never finished or continued as you’ve probably figured by now :P
Funny enough though I have leftover digital sketches for the initial conceptualization of these panels and the dialogue, which were never released once I finished the pages to be more refined. Think it’s neat to see the sketchy process tho. And since I’m not continuing it, might as well dump unfinished work or else it’ll just rot in my photos
These were part of the initial comic linked, before I redrew it and placed into comic boxes with background outlines
And this was part of the secondary comic prequel that I released. The dialogue got changed up and shortened quite a bit
And I think this was an alternative version to the second image in this sequence? Because it just kinda restates what was already said but different wording
Here’s some doodles in reference to the comic I created lol
I didn’t include The Badge Seller deal part in the comic, but it’s part of the overall story. Maybe I’ll make another comic explaining more about that
(Here’s the comic link btw. Just so it’s all connected together:)
#also here’s a fun fact: drew most of this while listening to the Lolbit Song & Babs Sneed remix#….yeah pretty much those two songs and sheer forceful snatcher brain rot#it was honestly a bit of a challenge to get the comics looking ‘good’#usually I just doodle and move on with my life#I’m not one to make backgrounds or format them into confined boxes :P#also I did have plans to continue it except uh…#my routine of drawing these before camp started was inevitably ruined because the damn scedual shift#my parent stopped working early hours at the library so I couldn’t sit in my drawing spot#we’d arrive on time to the camp and I wasn’t motivated at home to draw#odd how one jumbled up routine works to kill productivity sometimes#plus the initial direction of it felt a bit too cruel for even Snatcher#he would’ve inevitably realized manipulative scheming wasn’t the right way to go and all but#would’ve taken a while before he reciprocated feelings instead of pushing them away and suppressing#idk I prefer how I interpret and write his character in my head more then when I try to execute it#and even then this storyline would’ve been a different variation to snatcher’s personality then I’m fully used to…?#idk difficult to explain#also also actual reason behind this isn’t because I’m a Snatcher crusher. it’s because I like envisioning banter with his character#the idea of giving him another romantic interest is appealing to me because there’s many layers to his former failed love life and whatnot#so I enjoy the thought of him being reintroduced to love. however I myself don’t really do y/n stuff naturally lol#no I was simply influenced by the Sun & Moon x y/n craze at the time#plus I hated being on the sidelines of the snatcher x selfship community and desperately wanted to feel like a contributor#my limitation being that I’m aroace and unable to join in the same way others are able to <<#so yeah either way this wouldn’t have lasted I suppose#old art#old comic

“Rose Benson, for The Times. A question for all three drivers: it’s just 102 days until we’re in Australia. What are your plans now between… What are you gonna be doing over the winter break?
“What are your plans?”
Everyone in the room was no surprised by Seb’s answer. Laughter started to fill the room, spreading quickly except for two people: Britta and you. You noticed her gaze piercing your husband, as if she were mentally scolding him, like every time she did when he messed up. You, however, just looked at him with a look of disappointment.
She was unsure about what she had just heard, you knew it perfectly.
Seb face immediately turned pale, as if he knew he shouldn’t have said that. As Seb’s not also wife, but also race engineer, you were used to this kind of behaviour and jokes, but today… it just hit different.
“Seemed to be counting the days,” he continued while starting to laugh a bit nervous. “Can’t wait.”
Max and Lewis, sitting next to him, joined in the laughter, making him laugh even more as the situation seemed to begin to slip out of his control. You were sure that he knew that having you just a few meters away, shaking your head constantly at the same time you whispered something to his PR didn’t bode well.
“Seb, you go first,” a journalist said. “What are your plans?”
“Uh…”
“Another baby?” Lewis interrupted.
You knew all to well that he tried his best to not tell anything. Apart from your four years old little girl, both of your families, and Britta and Antti, no one knew yet that you couldn’t try for another baby because the baby was already on the way.
You couldn’t take the risk of sharing the news and then telling people all over the world that you had an abortion, just as happened to you in 2016.
“Uh... well…” Seb stammered, not knowing what else to say. “Quickly done.”
Even though you were caught up in the laughter around you, you couldn’t control your growing nervousness, as well as your husband, and it kept getting worse every time you glanced at him. You crossed your arms, almost falling off your chair, and decided to rest your head on Britta's shoulder. You tried your best not to fall asleep, but the yawns continued leaving your mouth with no shame at all.
“If you need advice I know how to do it.”
Another mess-up.
Britta was already signaling with her hands to him so he stopped saying nonsense, totally overwhelmed not because she wasn’t used to it, but because she was maybe too worried about you. You straightened up as soon as you heard that, and instinctively placed your hands on your barely noticeable belly, thanking yourself for having decided to start wearing clothes a couple of sizes larger than usual.
“Keep pushing,” Max blurted out, immediately drinking from his bottle.
“Well... I don't know how long you two want to stay on free practice sessions, but... if you want…”
“I like free practice,” the Dutchman commented. “I'd rather stay there for now.”
Lewis and Max kept talking to him, but you knew he was trying his best to go along with the conversation.
After what felt like an eternity, the press conference ended. Everyone started to get up and scatter around the room, probably to chat with each other. The season was over, and they wanted to do the usual: say goodbye and wish each other a good winter break. Seb did the same, with the difference that he headed straight towards you.
You were still sat, eyes fixed on the floor while you fidgeted with your fingers nervously, tears streaming down your cheeks.
You felt like a complete idiot because, even though he hadn't meant any harm and your really knew that, he should have thought before speaking because he knew all too well that you usually got overly sensitive. You had been through a pregnancy together before, and although it was a vast world full of unknowns, certain patterns did repeat.
The constant desire for sex and the hormonal ups and downs you suffered were the most obvious.
Slowly, he approached you and, with utmost care, knelt beside you, placing a hand on your thigh. You didn't pull away as you usually did when she was mad at him, and you saw in his eyes that he wasn’t expecting you to react that way.
“I'm sorry if what I said made you uncomfortable, especially that baby talk. The last thing I wanted to do was to upset you but I ended up messing up, like always.”
You lifted her gaze, meeting his. He knew you were not exactly sad, but a bit disappointed at the thought that someone might have discovered the pregnancy you were trying so hard to keep secret.
“I swear I hate you right now, Sebastian Vettel,” you said, being completely honest and letting the hormones act for you. “You made me feel so bad, I swear, but…”
Your words came out broken, and tried your best to keep your cool.
He knew you stopped talking because your eyes welled up more than usual: you were on the verge of breaking down but didn't want to do it in public. He leaned his forehead against yours, your faces almost touching.
“I never wanted to make you feel this way, my love,” he whispered. “You, alongside our girl, are the most important people to me, and you know that perfectly well,” you nodded, though he knew you doubted it. “You don't know how much I regret not taking care of my words…”
You looked at him, perhaps trying to find the obvious honesty behind his words. You knew he was being completely honest, but once again, your insecurity was consuming you and acting on your behalf.
“Seb, I hate myself right now. Quite a lot, actually,” you revealed in a nearly inaudible whisper. “I hate being pregnant because I feel useless! I'm so bipolar…” you tensed up, though standing and positioning yourself next to him to keep talking without anyone overhearing. “I want to hit you, I want to cry, and at the same time, I want you to take me to the bathrooms and have casual sex like we were teenagers. Do you understand me, sunshine?”
You said that but actually no, he couldn't understand you because he didn't know what it was like to be roughly eight weeks pregnant.
“Y/N, hey, listen to me love,” he said, holding your face in his hands and wiping away your tears. “You don’t have to hate yourself for feeling this way, alright? We’re in this together, and you’re going through a lot of changes. It’s completely normal to feel this way,” he repeated.
You nodded, and even curled your lips into a small smile. You didn’t waste any time and quickly started hugging him and leaving kisses on his right cheek.
But that ended abruptly when you both heard a throat clear behind you.
Britta was standing next to none other than the pink-haired girl who had asked your husband about his winter break plans earlier.
Rose Benson, that Italian journalist who had become one of the best, if not the most prominent, additions to Formula 1 journalism.
“Sebastian, as charming as ever I see…” her words made you cling tightly to Seb’s arm, a bit afraid. Again, your insecurity appeared. “Can I steal you for a few minutes for an exclusive interview?”
Her gaze fell with a hint of disdain on your, as if your were an unnecessary part of the conversation she was trying to have with your husband. Immediately, he wrapped his arm around your waist and started making faces at Britta so she could help him to get rid of that reporter.
As expected, she refused, letting him know he would have to face an interview he didn’t want to do but that it was up to him whether or not he did it. She knew better than anyone what it was like to deal with the media and, especially, with professionals like the one in front of you.
“I’m sorry, Rose. I’m busy.”
“Come on, Sebastian... we’ve known each other for years,” she persisted, getting a bit closer to Seb. “You know it would be an amazing interview... like so many we’ve had.”
You were starting to get upset again. The only thing he did was placing a hand on your belly, and it somehow calmed you, but not for long.
“Benson, I’m serious. The only conversation I want to have right now is the one I was having with my wife,” he said, calmly rubbing your back.
“You’re disappointing me, Vettel,” she snapped, leaving you both in shock. WYou’re missing out a wonderful opportunity to be interviewed, in private, with someone like me.”
After hearing that, tears once again covered your face. You took a few steps back, slight pushing him and positioned yourself next to Britta, who didn’t know what to do other than wrap her arms around you while Seb was still watching the reporter start scribbling something on a piece of paper.
“Here’s my phone number, Seb,” she said in an overly suggestive tone as she handed him the piece of paper, which he took. “Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider? We could find a more private place, and…”
As she got dangerously closer to him, Seb kept your eyes on you.
You hated how polite he was even though people acted in such a stupid way.
“Rose, I’m sorry, but that’s not going to happen,” you said again. “My answer, once again, is no.”
“Have you never wanted to explore curves other than those on the circuit?”
“Why are you such a fucking bitch?! The only curves he explores off the circuit are mine!”
The woman’s insinuations had pushed you over the edge. Several people were already looking at you, and you’d swear some were even taking pictures or videos, so it wouldn’t surprise you if you went viral on Twitter that night.
Benson didn’t know what to say or do after your insult, except to end the closeness she had created by moving away from your husband as much as possible, trying not to arouse suspicion from the onlookers.
“Y/N, I think it’s best if we go get some air, what do you think?” Britta suggested you.
“No, I don’t want to go get some air, Britta!” you shouted again, breaking free from Roeske’s careful grasp. You were worried about you getting this upset, but you didn’t care at all. This wasn’t good for the pregnancy. “I want to tell this stupid journalist to learn to do her damn job properly and stop meddling in marriages!”
“Excuse me? Are you calling me a cheater?” she retorted, clearly offended. “You need to learn to control what you say, dear. You’re going to get yourself into more trouble if you keep this up.”
You were getting more nervous than hearing Seb during the press conference, you’d swear.
“Yes, you!” you snapped, moving further away as Britta tried to take you out. She must have noticed how pale you had gone. “Do you think Seb doesn’t have a girlfriend? Well, surprise! He married me last June and we’ve been together for nearly seven years, and we have a daughter, and...!”
The index finger on Seb’s lips was what made you stop from revealing your third pregnancy or who knows what else. Your expression revealed him that, although he had done the best to make you shout, at that moment you only wanted to kill him.
Britta began to guide you more quickly towards the door to get out of there, but your words still could be heard despite the distance with a frustration that was more than obvious. There was a point in your life when you started saying what you wanted, fought for what you believed was not fair, and you stopped being intimidated or afraid of anything or anyone.
That’s what probably made Seb fall in love with you more and more every day, even he actually thought it would be impossible.
When you finally left, Britta handed you a bottle of water and started to calm you down, but you just couldn’t relax. Now, you were still nervous and actually worried about what Seb could be saying to that woman. His body expressions, the ones you were seeing from distance, didn’t calm you as much as you thought, and when she handed him a piece of paper you completely lost it and, once again, started crying, leaning on a wall.
A few minutes, later, Seb approached you while you saw Britta leaving you two some space.
“Hey, Y/N, I’m so sorry about what happened there. I should’ve handled it better,” he started, his voice full of concern.
“Seb, it’s not your fault. She was way out of line,” you said, your voice trembling while trying to calm yourself down.
He pulled you into a tight hug, your body relaxing slightly against his.
“We’ll get through this, together, like we always do,” he whispered, kissing the top of your head, hoping to soothe your nerves.
His gaze meets your tear-filled eyes. Gently, he took your hands and started caressing them with his thumbs, knowing how much it relaxed you in moments of distress like this.
"Thanks for taking care of her for me, Britta," Seb said, turning around to thank your second mother once more for looking after you and sparing you any trouble.
You wanted to say something to him, but as soon as Seb turned his back again you, he got closer and closed the distance between you two, pressing his lips to yours.
You ended up forcing yourself to pull away not because you might get horny, because you're not used to showing affection in public unless it's a completely special occasion. The world knows you only hold hands lightly or maybe kiss on the cheek, out of respect for your profession and, above all, so that people see you as an engineer and not just a WAG.
Private moments were exclusively yours, and no one beyond your loved ones and yourselves needed to know about them.
"What's that about, Seb?"
You were too surprised, feeling a wave of emotions invading you.
"The thing with Rose, or the kiss?" he asked innocently.
"Both," you replied shortly, then corrected yourself. "Sorry, it's just that girl made me feel like..."
You couldn’t continue. You put your hands over your face, but Seb pulled them away. There was no need for you to hide from him: he knew how you felt, and all he wanted in those moments was calming you and making you aware that there was no need for you to feel ashamed about anything.
"I only want you, Y/N," he brought you even closer and started touching your belly again, but now with more discretion. "In this, and a thousand more universes, and beyond life, whatever it is, and no matter what happens, I will always love only you. Just you, Y/N."
"Do you really love me? Even though I'm fat and ugly like I am now?" you wanted to know, doubting yourself as you focused on looking at your body up and down.
He chuckled softly at your comment. You weren’t not fat: your belly was just a slightly bigger than usual despite being in the first trimester because of your natural anatomy.
"You're neither fat nor ugly, darling, but it's normal to feel that way," he comforted you. "You're experiencing changes, so don't overthink, Y/N. You’re a superhero: you’re creating a whole baby in there"
"But I just... I feel like a bomb of emotions. I feel so... so stupid and contradicting myself all the time..."
"It's the hormones," he interrupted you. "Don't press yourself for feeling that way. Do you remember when you were pregnant with Emily?"
Before he could say anything else, he made sure that, aside from Britta, you were alone in the hallway. Seeing that no one else was around, he kneeled down and brought his face to your belly. He placed both hands on either side and started kissing it, causing you laugh.
"Hello, my little girl. How are you doing? There's a long way to go, but mom and I are so excited to meet you, as well as your big sister, who really wants you to be born just to play with you."
You know the baby couldn’t hear you, but you felt so happy Seb was trying his best to make you a little happier.
"Stop, sunshine," you started saying, taking his arms to make him stand up. "Seb, seriously, get up. They're going to catch us!"
There was no one around, and he even double-checked to make sure. However, he decided to listen to you to avoid making you more nervous. At the same time, Britta nodded for you both to follow her. Seb took your hand and followed her steps.
"Seb..." you started speaking with some doubt.
"What is it, love?"
"Why did you say my little girl before?”
He turned hid head towards you. He saw you blushing and looking a little lost.
"Because I know it's going to be another girl," he confessed to you, leaving you a bit puzzled. "I don't know why, but it seems, and I truly believe, that making girls is our specialty."
"I think it's going to be a boy, but it makes sense: the other baby was also a girl..."
You forced yourself to stop talking. You didn’t usually talk about the miscarriage you had about two years ago, at sixteen weeks pregnant, and although you had made great progress after nearly making an irreversible mistake, it still hurted.
They say you learn from mistakes, but if you had seen the clear signs of the person who ruined your lives and had taken measures much earlier, things would have been very different.
"How about we make a bet?" he commented, trying to change the subject while now wrapping his arm around your waist. "If it's a boy, I'll take you on vacation wherever you want."
"And if it's a girl, like you say?" you wanted to know.
"Then I'll take you to dinner at your favourite restaurant. The one you always want me to take you whenever we go visit your family."
You looked at him strangely, knowing perfectly well that what he said wasn’t really a bet; in fact, it's anything but a bet. Adding to that, his voice sounded so calm that it might have surprised you with his passivity.
Britta and Antti look at you both as Seb helped you to enter the car, as if they wanted to know what you were talking about. You look that he shook his head at them and immediately started laughing.
"And what are you laughing at now, Sebastian?" you snapped at him again as he sat next to Britta. "Are you trying to mess with me, or what?"
"What's wrong with her? Is she okay?"
The whispers from his training coach, who clearly wanted toknow what was going on without appearing nosy, made him laugh even more. He didn’t even answer him and directly looked at you:
"Start thinking if you want to go to Cadiz or Mallorca, and if you prefer a McDonald's burger with pickles and ice cream with ketchup and fries or your aunt's wiener schnitzel."
Your eyes lighted up with excitement. You knew that he was making you decide, but in the end he’ll do all of that, and more, for you. Seb was the best partner ever and took care of you amazingly, especially when you were pregnant or struggling with your mental health.
"I hate that you know me so well, Seb," you ended up saying, taking some candies from Britta's hand. "But I'm sure you don't know what's on my mind right now."
Of course he did, he knew you too well. You were just being horny, and your face showed.
"Y/N, I really appreciate you all," Roeske began to say as she looked at both of you, "but please: stop acting like you know what in front of us. Can’t you contain yourselves for ten minutes and then do whatever you want when you’re alone in your hotel room? Really, I’ll take care of Emily and I'll even stay all night listening to loud music on my headphones so I don't have to hear you moan all the time. Agree? But please: behave, kids."

masterlist
jun -
against his better judgment, jun sat in silence for a while as he contemplated what to do. you were likely not only mad, but also disappointed at him ditching you like that. except he hadnt meant to! he truly had no idea he would sleep through the entirety of the morning. he had been so excited to spend his favorite day with his favorite person, but now he was left as a complete asshole while you believed him to have carelessly put you aside with no warning
after a few more minutes of self-pitying, he decided to get up. it was better to try and make amends and explain himself than to let even more time pass. he knew you'd be out by the time he arrived to your place, but at least that way he could fix something up for your arrival. he decided against calling you. it didnt feel personal enough, plus, the least he could do was surprise you.
without further thought, jun headed straight to your place, but not before inquiring his mom about a few recipes he knew you liked. his current plan was to make you a romantic dinner upon your return. in order to allow you to enjoy your day in whichever way you wished to, he continued to not contact you with his new plan. he knew it might've been dumb to not even answer the multiple messages you'd left him while he slept, but he wanted to apologize face to face with a romantic gesture.
preparing the meal had been easy enough. he followed it by creating a nice ambience with the lights and a few candles, along with some mellow music and incense. the next step in his plan was to offer you a massage and his wholehearted company for the rest of the night to do whatever you so wished.
luckily for him, your outing did not extend into the night, meaning his meal would become either a brunch or an early dinner. but that didn't matter to him the moment you stepped in and spotted him in suit and tie waiting for you in your apartment, eyes wide as saucers at the unexpected intrusion.
"jun?"
"wait! dont say anything. i rehearsed this, okay? let me say my thing first."
you were already used to his shenanigans, so you gestured at him to continue before voicing any questions.
"i'm so sorry. i know i promised to be here. and i was planning to be here on time! but i, uh, i fell asleep. i know how stupid that sounds, trust me! i didn't plan on this. i was so exhausted and i didnt realize that id sleep through all my alarms and your messages. my phone died last night too, so i didnt even realize you had called me. i'm just ... im sorry. i know im an idiot. please forgive me? i made you a romantic dinner to make up for it! i hope you like it, they're my mom's recipes," he paused for a second before continuing, "i love you! i wanted to spend the whole day with you, i swear. i know it didnt go as planned, but id you let me, id love to spend what remains of it doing whatever you want. im sorry i left you alone. i never meant to."
"junnie ..."
jun immediately noticed your lip begin to stick out in a pout, with watery eyes to match.
"oh, fuck. baby, i'm so sorry," he rushed you into his embrace, "i didnt mean to make you cry! i- how can i make it up to you? i'll do anything, just say the word."
you halted him before he could continue, remaining in his hold but disconnecting yourself enough to look into his eyes.
"no, junnie. it's just ... fuck, im sorry if my texts were harsh. i thought you had just ditched me for no reason. you must've been so exhausted, baby, im sorry. i understand why you weren't here, and ... god, thank you for the dinner. you're so sweet, junnie, im so so-"
"no! dont apologize. you're not allowed to apologize on your birthday. in a perfect world i wouldve made it home and fallen asleep in your arms instead. will you have dinner with me? then i can take you to bed," he interrupted himself upon realizing what he said, "oh, wait! not like that! but well, if you want too ... it's your day, anything you say goes. happy birthday, by the way," he pressed his nose to yours, "i love you."
you couldn't help but giggle at his panicked state, appreciating the sweet words nonetheless.
"thank you, junnie. i love you."
soonyoung -
soonyoung wasn't too sure where he was going.
it's not like be was blackout drunk, he was just drunk. period. he still had some sense of reason. he was almost 85% sure he was in minghao's car. but there was no way to be completely sure from the angle in which he was laying down. that's when his friend decided to inquire his name to check on him, thus confirming soonyoung's current whereabouts. that was also when soonyoung fell right back asleep.
next time he gained consciousness he was being dragged out of the car and being directed to follow minghao. he could recognize his new location anywhere. he was standing right outside your apartment. when you opened the door, he couldnt help but instantly let himself fall atop you, attacking you with a hug as you were forced a few steps back due to his body weight being dropped on you. you held him back, patting his back as you spoke to minghao about something. he wasn't too sure. the familiar scent at the crook of your neck had him too distracted to care.
finally minghao left, allowing you two some alone time. you left him on the couch and got him water, telling him he needed to sober up before you could talk, because apparently you had something to say to him. it was odd. you weren't cooing at him as you usually did. you also weren't stuck to his side, giving him his daily dose of physical affection like he'd always demand. he decided to shrug it off, allowing himself to fall into deep slumber on the uncomfortable space of your couch. he'd figure it out tomorrow.
when tomorrow came, soonyoung was hit with two things. one came after the other.
the first was his headache, which almost went away on its own at the mere aight of the aspirin you had left on the coffee table in front of him. he made a mental note to give you a thank you kiss the moment he saw you.
the next thing he was hit with was realization of how uneven this relationship seemingly was.
as he got up to seek you out, he stopped just before entering your bedroom, realizing you were on a phone call. he didn't mean to eavesdrop, but he was also really nosy by nature, so the math did itself.
"yeah. im sorry for cancelling on you yesterday ... no, i know ... it's not like that .... he just forgot .... yeah ..... he came home drunk .... i dont know. i think i'll just let him figure it out on his own .... i am hurt. we made plans and he just blew me off to drink with his friends, of course im hurt .... i'll just see you tomorrow, i gotta go take care of him .... yeah, i know im an idiot, but i love him .... okay, bye. love you too."
soonyoung could only hear your side of the conversation, but that had been enough for him to clue the pieces together. your birthday was yesterday. which was something he knew, but had completely left his mind at the mention of free drinks with the guys.
after that realization came many others.
you had shown him no type of anger upon his arrival, even making sure take care of him in his drunken state. you had changed him into his pjs as he slept, tucked him into your couch, given him medicine. even after he blew you off. on your birthday. fuck.
he gave himself no time to think before he barged into the room, immediately kneeling in front of you as he grabbed onto your hands. he paid no mind to your shocked state as he started babbling apologies to you.
"im so sorry, i- i dont know how i forgot. baby ... im so fucking sorry. i cant believe you took care of me even after i forgot. you shouldve punished me. you should punish me. i dont deserve you. im so so so sorry. i love you so much, i swear i never meant go forget. im just an idiot. that's not an excuse! you're just too good for me. I'll make it up to you! how can i? anything! please, i love you."
his rambling could only be blamed on his still buzzed state, as that had only been half of his apology. he kept going for ten minutes, allowing you no room to respond. he was surprised when by the end of it you'd instructed him to get up, almost tackling him in a hug as you wrapped your arms around his neck. he might've been an idiot, but he'd accept any affection from you he could get. always.
"soonie ..." you pulled away to look into his eyes, a sweet softness behind them. them you decided to slap his chest, making him wince at the unexpectedness of it, "you fucking idiot! i waited for you all day, and you ditch me for alcohol?"
"baby, i-"
"no! i cant sit through another ten minutes of apologies. im pretty sure you're a little drunk still. i forgive you. but you have a lot of making up to do, understand?"
he felt like a scolded puppy, but agreed regardless, telling you that he would swear off alcohol if that's what it took. he enjoyed your giggle as he suggested ridiculous ways to make it up to you, knowing he'd genuinely do anything to make up for ever making you upset.
minghao -
if he hadn't felt immediate regret the moment the words came out of his mouth, he sure felt it now, hearing you cry through the door to your shared bedroom.
he had no idea what had gotten into him. never had he ever even entertained the idea of disrespecting you like that, much less ever making you cry. he could take his job too seriously sometimes, making him a bit too irritable when his work ethic was questioned in any way. although this was true, he knew it was still just a cheap excuse for his behavior. no matter what had been going through his mind, he knew he had no right to speak to you in the way that he did, dismissing you so coldly on a day that was meant to celebrate you.
he was unsure what to do. he wanted to comfort you so badly, but he knew that he had been the sole cause for your pain. he felt himself get emotional at the mere thought, with your sobs making him weak at the knees in regret. he sat himself down on the other side of the door, knowing from the proximity of your cries that you must've been on the opposite side as well. he kept quiet, simply torturing himself as he heard the love of his life cry because of him. there was only so much he could take, however, before finally interrupting.
"my love ..?"
your cries seized a bit at his interruption, but your sniffles and heavy breath could still be heard, breaking his heart bit by bit.
"angel ... im so sorry ... i- i don't know what came over me. you're right. i should've called you. there is no world in which i wouldnt want to be with you to celebrate the birth of the love of my life. you're my everything. i want to shout it from the rooftops. i want everyone to know who my entire world is; who makes my heart beat," he took a pause to breathe, allowing himself to think of how to properly apologize to you, "i should never speak to you the way i just did, i ... im disgusted with myself. you're the most important thing in my life. being the source of your sadness makes me lose my mind. my one purpose in this life is to love you with all i have. im so sorry ... my love, please dont cry over me. no one deserves your tears."
by the end of his speech you had begun to cry harder, making his heart crumble even more.
"angel ... let me see you, please. i need to hold you, need to- need you in my arms. cant stand not taking away your pain, please, i-"
his words were interrupted by a sudden opening of the door. by the time he'd gotten up, you had already walked further into your room, sitting on the edge of the bed as you made yourself as small as possible, looking down while he approached. he knelt in front of you, grabbing your hands as he held them against his own, kissing at the back of your palms as he professed his love for you once more. he then got up and made it so you'd stand up with him, allowing him to cradle you in his arms.
"please forgive me ... i adore you more than anything."
you finally looked up at him, bloodshot eyes as he looked down at you with both worry and adoration.
"did you mean it? do you really not care to ditch me for your career? did you-"
"no! never. you're everything to me. there's nothing i hold more dear to my heart than your own. i'll never make you cry again. i'll grow old with you and give you nothing but happiness. please, please forgive me."
he knew his words could only get him so far, being fully aware that he had purposely hurt your feelings in the heat of the moment. he simply hoped that this would not cause a strain in your relationship; that you would somehow look past it and give him the forgiveness that he didn't deserve.
his thoughts were fortunately interrupted by a soft meeting of your lips, allowing him to melt into you before you pulled away.
"hao ... i forgive you. i- i never thought you'd just disregard me like that," he physically winced at the thought, "but you've shown me nothing but love and respect otherwise. i understand you were stressed, and i love you, so i forgive you."
"thank you, angel. i'll take tomorrow off, okay? let me keep you all to myself so i can show you how sorry i am; how badly i love you."
he then spent the rest of the night attached to you, waxing poetic at you as he told you of all the plans he had for the two of you tomorrow, even eventually progressing into talking about his night at the fashion show. your enthusiasm at his rambles made him realize how fortunate he was to have you all over again. he made a promise to himself and to you that he'd never lose his temper around you ever again.
chan -
"wait, what? ah! don't hit me!"
"you idiot! you're dating a literal angel and you forget their birthday?! what is wrong with you?"
"it's not today! it's, uh, wait. fuck. today?!"
checking his phone really quickly he realized that today's date was in fact your birthday. he hadn't bothered to write down a reminder for your birthday anywhere, knowing there was absolutely more way he could forget. except that the days had begun to blend together at some point, rendering him into a machine as he just went to his schedules without much thought. what he hadn't accounted for, however, was for your birthday to get lost in the mess also.
chan hadn't planned for his day to go like this. he 100% was not expecting to be berated by seungkwan the moment he stepped foot into the practice room, being scolded over being a careless boyfriend. even as annoyed as he was at his friend, he knew he was right. he hadn't meant to, but ultimately he had forgotten about you. it sucked to think about how he had bid you goodbye just this morning with not a single care in the world, now realizing that you were probably alone and feeling disregarded by him. i mean, for fuck's sakes, he had told you to take the day off a few weeks back. promising a fun afternoon together after he got off work. and now he had completely forgotten about it.
he needed to fix this, and quick.
like any lovesick guy (such as chan, who was immensely down bad for you), he ran to leave practice. he knew soonyoung would have his ass on a silver platter the moment he arrived and noticed chan's absence, but after weighing his options (hurting your feelings vs. being berated by yet another one of his older brothers), he decided you were the clear priority.
ran might've been an overstatement, but he did rush as much as he could. he wanted to account for the extra time he'd need to spend to stop by a flower shop on the way in order to beg for forgiveness in a more heartfelt way.
after picking a bouquet of your favorites, he instructed the driver to take him to your address, which led him to his current predicament as he stood outside your apartment door, breathless due to having ran up the stairs in very dramatic fashion. what could he say? he was just a boy in love.
the moment you opened the door to his knocks, he rushed in, rambling endless apologies to you as he handed you the flowers, professing his love to you while also whining (mostly at himself) that seungkwan of all people had been the one to remind him of the love of his life's special day. it was funny, really, how he didn't seem to run out of words when expressing his regret at his mistake.
you interrupted him halfway through his fourth apology, giggling at his widened eyes. okay, this was not exactly the reaction he was expecting.
"chan! jesus, breathe," you interrupted, "i'm not mad. i mean, i was. but you literally only left an hour ago, i cant believe you're back already."
"i headed back the moment kwan told me. baby. i'm sorry. i had planned to take the day off and surprise you, it just slipped my mind, i swe-"
"chan! it's fine! i'm not- i'm not mad, i promise. the fact that you came back running is so ... it's funny," you giggled again, "but its also very sweet. you have nothing to apologize for, okay? i'm just happy you're here."
he hugged you after that, disregarding the flowers in your hands as he nuzzled his nose into your hair.
"remind me to thank kwannie for reminding my bad, forgetful boyfriend about my birthday."
"yah! you're not allowed to hang out with him anymore, okay? he's a bad influence," he complained against you, enjoying the vibration of your laugh in return.

angsty, and the word is toaster
I don’t get a lot of opportunities to write angsty stuff so thank you.

**********
Buck sat on the bench in the locker room; his jacket on and bag by his feet, ready to go home. Except he didn’t know where to go.
He was supposed to be going to Tommy’s after shift—that had been the plan they made, but he didn’t know if he should. Or could. Not after their fight 48 hours ago.
The only communication they’d had for the last 2 days was Tommy letting him know when he was going in the air and when he’d safely landed back at the station, and Buck hearting the messages so Tommy knew he’d seen them.
Buck was still just so pissed at him. And worse still Tommy didn’t even seem to grasp the reason why. Or if he did he didn’t seem to think it was important.
Buck knew what he had to do—everybody he’d asked had told him to just get his head out of his ass and talk to Tommy.
As he walked up to Tommys front door, he hesitated in using the key that Tommy had given him last week. He thought about how happy he’d been when Tommy had presented it to him, and how he’d almost been late for his own shift the next day because he wanted to get a key to his apartment cut to give back to him.
The door opened making him jump. Tommy stood in his loose shorts and tank top—his usual Muay Thai get up—and was covered in glistening sweat. This would usually turn Bucks brain to goo, but not tonight.
“I heard the Jeep.” He said plainly. “You hungry?” He stepped aside allowing Buck in. His voice wasn’t the usual happy one he greeted Buck with, but it wasn’t angry either. He sounded tired.
“Yeah. You wanna order in?” He dropped his bag next to Tommy’s by the door.
Tommy nodded. “Order wherever. I’m gonna take a quick shower.” He placed a quick kiss onto Bucks cheek and climbed the stairs. This was the first time in three months that they hadn’t greeted each other with a full on mouth assault. Buck didn’t know what to do with that.
His stomach was beginning to twist. This was the point in every relationship he’d had to far where the cracks began and inevitably led to an eventual break up.
In part because, as he had realised since meeting Tommy, that they just weren’t right for him. But also because he tended to stick his head in the sand and not confront the problem at hand.
Buck 3.0 (Taylor’s version), would ignore the problem, order dinner and hope that they could just move on from the issue. But he wasn’t him anymore—he needed to confront the problem and deal with it.
No matter the outcome.
He quickly climbed the stairs to Tommy’s bedroom. Tommy was removing clean clothes from his dresser whilst waiting for the shower to heat up.
“You order something?” He asked.
“Uh, no.” Buck replied. “We, uh.. we need to talk about this Tommy.” He said, releasing a shaky breath.
Tommy sighed. “There’s nothing to talk about, Evan. Everything’s fine.”
“No. No it isn’t. You.. you’re being.. different, and-and I can’t.. I don’t want to ignore what happened.”
Tommy shut the drawer and turned to face him. “What is there left to say, Evan? I saved a kids life. I’m not sorry for that. You seem to think there’s something wrong with that. I don’t. Neither of us are going to win this fight so why continue it?”
That got bucks hackles up.
“You think I have a problem with you saving a kids life?!” His voice was raised “Tommy, the problem is that you were so reckless when you did it!”
Tommy scoffed. “Really? You want to accuse me of being reckless?”
“Running into a burning apartment without proper equipment is reckless. Don’t play dumb—you know that.”
“He would have died, Evan. And as for the reckless part, I’ve heard the stories of your past behaviour—hell, you’ve told me most of them. I think it’s pretty hypocritical to chastise me for something you’ve done more than once.”
Tommy wasn’t wrong—it was hypocritical for Buck to be pissed off when he’s done some really stupid shit himself.
“You’re right—it probably is hypocritical. Maybe karma is teaching me a lesson, or maybe the universe is showing me what it feels like to be on the other side of it to change me or something, I dunno. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that what you did was dangerous and reckless.”
“What should I have done? Let the kid die?” Tommy threw back, his own voice raised.
Buck ran an angry hand through his hair. “No, Tommy. Of course not!”
“You want me to not do my job?” Tommy said and Buck tried to keep calm but god damnit he just wasn’t getting it!
“No, Tommy! I want you to understand that I love you and don’t want you to die!”
And there it was. Those three words that he’d been skirting around saying for weeks. Neither had said it yet and Buck was trying to take it slow and not get ahead of himself by saying it too soon.
His loud voice echoed around the room, followed by a deathly silence as Tommy’s face softened, taking in Evan’s words. Buck continued talking; needing to get the words about before his nerves got the bed to him.
“It’s not about you saving a kids life—I’m proud of you for doing that. It’s that you-you just went ahead and-and did it, no questions asked, without thinking about the fact that you have someone that wants you to come home.” He closed some of the distance between them as his voice softened more. “Of course I don’t want you to not do your job, or stop saving kids or stop saving anyone. I just.. I just need to feel like you care enough to come home to me; that you’ll be more careful so that you can. Because Tommy I.. I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.”
His voice began to crack at the end and tears were threatening to spill.
Tommy closed the remaining distance and wrapped his arms around him. Buck leaned into Tommy’s warmth and gripped the back of his shirt tightly.
“I’m sorry, baby.” He whispered into Bucks ear. “I promise from now on I’ll be more careful.”
“Thank you.” Buck mumbled into Tommys shoulder.
“And hey-“ Tommy added pulling back to look at Buck. “I love you too.”
Buck couldn’t hide the grin that formed on his face and Tommy just had to kiss him about it.
After Tommy eventually got his shower—with Buck joining him so that they could properly make up, of course—they lounged on the sofa, eating pizza and watching one of Bucks documentaries.
“Oh hey, did they find the source of that fire?” Buck asked.
“Toaster.”
“Half an apartment building burnt down and it was all because of a toaster?”
“Technically, it was the kid who put his Lego men in to the toaster because they were cold that did it.”
“Oh. Well, yeah that’ll do it.”

Flesh n' Bones | Hospital AU (INTRO)
PAIRING: Doctor!Patrick Bateman x gn!Nurse!Reader
SUMMARY: My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st Street in New York City. I work as a surgeon at St. Pierce's Hospital—one of the most upscale medical centers in Manhattan—which happens to be owned by my father. And even though I hate my job, sometimes I can find a little bit of fun in making the experience of my patients in the hospital really unforgettable. Not to mention the dozens of missing nurses who definitely regretted crossing the threshold of St. Pierce's Hospital, but who cares—I was the best thing that ever happened to them.
CONTAINS: Swearing, medical procedures, evil plans, gaslighting, pain, blood and injury, interns & internships, power dynamics, flirting, perversion, pet names, Patrick Bateman's POV.
WORDS: 2.4k
A/N: Hello my dears! This story is based on Hospital AU by @peepoo79! Since the first day I saw her Hospital AU comic I was obsessed with this idea so I decided to write it! Since I am not a doctor myself, some things might not be that accurate to medical standards, but I am always open to critique. As always, I hope you enjoy it! Also, many thanks to @mothhmannn for the amazing Patrick art!

October 28, 1987.
Today started so shitty that I didn't even want to go to work, but how could I? I was a fucking surgeon who was supposed to save lives, and when I finally arrived at St. Pierce's Hospital, several nurses crowded around me and started bitching about some shitty stuff I didn't even care about.
"Dr. Bateman, your intern has arrived and is waiting for you in your office," one of the nurses said, handing me a folder of papers. "They seem to be very shy, so please treat them right."
Scowling, I took the papers and nodded. "Uh…Thank you."
Without further ado, I walked past another nurse and down the long corridors, avoiding all of my coworkers as I tried to concentrate on the music blaring from my Walkman headphones. Stopping at the door to my office, I made sure my hair was neatly slicked back before opening the door and stepping inside to see a beautiful person sitting in the chair. The blue medical uniform fit them so well that I even wanted to compliment them, but I stopped myself and just offered them a handshake instead.
"Well, hello there, my name is Dr. Bateman," I smiled and continued to examine my new plaything. "It's...uh...nice to see some young blood in our hospital these days."
You were embarrassed so quickly, probably from such a warm welcome, which was more of an exception for me than a regular thing.
"Thank you, Dr. Bateman...it's an honor to be your intern," you replied politely, trying to hide your nervousness as your hands visibly shook. "This hospital is so...amazing! Literally everything I have seen so far is amazing...including this office!"
The office did look luxurious. Everything screamed wealth and prestige, including the wooden desk and a high-end clock on it, the way you looked at the white leather couch in the corner of the room probably sent shivers down your spine, and somehow I really hoped it did.
"So...when can we start?" You asked as you watched me flip through your portfolio, my face stoic, blank, and absolutely unreadable.
As I stopped flipping through the documents and frowned to add some tension between us, I looked at you stealthily out of the corners of my eyes, and when I saw you chewing on your lower lip, I smiled in wicked satisfaction, but that smile never reached my eyes.
"It's very inspiring that you're so eager to get started," I said, placing several pages on the desk, then picking up my Montblanc pen to make some notes. "I see you've been studying pretty well...considering your grades."
Another shy chuckle fell from your lips at my words. "Oh, I did my best," you replied, settling more comfortably in your chair. "Although I didn't really want to reflect on my college years."
"Why?" I asked, writing down all the personal information I could get from your file, including your address, phone number, blood type...
"It was..." your voice wavered and you paused, causing me to look up at you again. "...hard as hell."
"As it should be. Our jobs require hard work as we carry a huge responsibility on our shoulders," I grinned, closing the folder before I could see the name of the college. "So where did you study exactly?"
Just as you were about to answer, a loud knock on the door rang through the office and I couldn't help but grumble in anger.
Can I have a break, for fuck's sake!
"Come in," I almost barked, my attention shifting away from you as I saw a nurse - one of the hottest hardbodies in our hospital - walk in. "Courtney? What happened?"
"Dr. Bateman..." She walked over to my desk, completely ignoring your presence.
"Yes, Courtney?" My patience was about to explode if she didn't answer right away.
"I know you told us not to bother you with non-emergent cases, but other surgeons are busy," she stammered as our gazes met, her blue eyes seeming to brighten even more. "We have a girl whose hand is so full of broken glass, can you please examine her?"
I sighed before glancing quickly at you, a little impressed that you still hadn't said a word. "Does she have insurance? How old is she?"
"Uh," Courtney hiccuped, looking at the patient's medical card. "I checked her insurance, it's valid and... she's nineteen."
"Nineteen?" I replied, suddenly feeling excited. "Well, I think this can be a good start for your internship. What do you think?"
Courtney seemed to finally notice that we were not alone, her plump lips pursed back into a thin line, and I really wanted to laugh at her reaction, but I told myself to stay professional.
"I'm ready when you are, Dr. Bateman," your suddenly confident voice sounded so challenging that it struck a chord in my chest and brought back a long forgotten feeling of thrill. "I'm sure we'd make a great team under your guidance."
How sweet.
I managed to hold back puke at such a silly, saccharine statement. It reminded me of the cliché every doctor used whenever someone asked them why they chose to work in a hospital.
'Oh, we want to save people's lives! And we're not doing it because doctors have almost the highest salaries in the country!'
I grinned insistently, reveling in my own sense of superiority. "All right then," I stood up and put on my doctor's coat over my custom-made scrubs with my initials on them. "Courtney, give the medical card to the intern."
The woman froze in shock. "But...but I thought I would assist you..."
I rolled my eyes as I checked myself in the mirror, adjusting the collar of my scrubs and pulling up the sleeves a bit to reveal my Rolex. "I think I made it very clear that your help won't be needed this time.”
If we were alone, I would probably just boff her before doing my work and that would help me get rid of her until the next time, but hell no, now I had a pain in the ass. And why should I have to teach an intern when I didn't even ask for one?
Meanwhile, you were waiting for me at the door, holding a medical card to your chest as if Courtney or I were about to snatch it from your hands. After I was completely satisfied with my appearance, I pinned my ID badge to my chest and walked to the door, trying not to stare too much at Courtney's ass while she was doing something at my desk that I never really bothered to know.
"You know what," I stopped suddenly before leaving. "Wait for me here," the blonde nurse turned to look at me, still bent over the table. "We'll discuss your new assignment."
A few minutes later, we finally entered the Surgery Division, and since you were a newbie here, I had to guide you all the way, telling you some things from time to time, and at some point I realized that I didn't really hate it, because I could blather on about being a super professional surgeon, and this whole place being mine.
Just like the whole hospital.
"I think this is our ward," I muttered and opened the door to let you in. " C'mon, don't be shy." I pushed you forward a bit before closing the door behind you.
The patient—a young red-haired girl with big green eyes whose tight top stuck to her chest so that her nipples poked out—looked at us the moment we entered the ward.
"Oh, finally," she mumbled in sheer annoyance, her right hand covered in blood-stained bandages. "I was beginning to think everyone had forgotten about me."
Still nervous, you cleared your throat and quickly looked down at the medical card. "Sorry for the long wait, Miss...Miss Ray," you managed to smile, even though you looked like a patient who was afraid to get treatment, but not her, "My name is (y/n) and this is Dr. Bateman, he's one of the best surgeons in this hospital."
One of the best?
Your slightly incorrect comment made me furrow my brow, but in the next second I was smiling seductively at the girl whose scrutinizing look I couldn't miss. She was pretty attractive, hell, just the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra made her attractive.
With practiced ease, I put on medical gloves after washing my hands very meticulously. Then I glanced at the patient's medical card, not taking it in my hands, but letting you hold it for me.
"Can I take a look?" I finally asked, taking a seat next to the examination table and putting the mask on. Carefully I began to unfold the bandages, the little whimpering the girl made gave me undeniable pleasure. "Well, that doesn't look too bad," I said when I could finally see the wound, and several pieces of glass had sunk quite deep into her flesh. "How did you manage that?"
The girl blushed as I began to examine her forearm, moving higher up to her shoulder, though it wasn't really necessary. I just loved how soft her skin was, as much as I could tell by feeling it through the elastic material of my gloves.
"I...I accidentally broke the mirror." She replied, her breathing uneven and her pulse quickening as I took a moment to check her. "My name is Liza, by the way."
I chuckled charmingly before turning to look at you, as you stood behind my back, watching my work very intently. "Can you bring me forceps? And...a scalpel?"
"Scalpel?" You replied a little confused.
"Yes," I confirmed and repositioned Liza's arm for better access. "And I'll also need a suture kit."
The girl tensed at my words that I would need a scalpel. "Is it...necessary?"
"Hmm?" I hummed, asking her a silent question while you busied yourself with preparing the instruments.
"A scalpel...are you going to make an incision?" Liza asked, giving me a pleading glare, her fear was palpable in the air and I couldn't help but savor it.
"I just want all the instruments to be close by in case I have a need for them, that's all. Now please relax." I murmured this with fake sympathy before resuming the examination, pressing down on one of the shards and making Liza whimper. "Shh, it's okay."
The redhead frowned in pain. "It hurts...doctor...it hurts so much!"
When I heard you return, I removed my fingers from the wound. "All right, no nerve damage and that's good." I smiled, obviously lying, my hand was already extended, ready to take the forceps.
"Your forceps, doctor," the way you said 'doctor' made my eyes glow with a mischievous spark. "Clean and sterilized, just like the scalpel and suture kit."
"Very well," I replied, feeling a chill in the metal in my hand. "Put them here," I tapped the spot on the examination table, wondering how you would do that. "And where's your mask?"
Confused, you stuttered. "Oh...yeah...sorry," you mumbled in embarrassment before putting on a mask. "I'm still a little nervous."
Liza knitted her eyebrows in a skeptical way that almost made me burst out laughing.
Okay, now I'm really starting to like this.
"Don't worry, my pill fairy," I watched you place a metal tray with instruments on the spot I showed you. "It's your first day in the hospital...it's...always a little nerve wracking."
As soon as I said it, you stopped in your tracks, and even though your face was covered by the mask, I was pretty sure you were so damn embarrassed that I was going to burn my finger off your cheek. You didn't make any comments though, which made me a little frustrated, but I didn't show it, I took the forceps more comfortably in my hand and began to remove the broken glass from Liza's shaky arm. The way I used the instruments was always mesmerizing - a work of art - as some nurses said, including Courtney, but today I was trying my best because I wanted to impress you. Shard by shard, I took them all out without causing any pain, something I usually couldn't find anything to be proud of.
"Done," I muttered, throwing the last piece of glass into the steel bow. "You took it so bravely."
The redhead smiled tiredly, trying not to look down at her hand. "Thank you, Doctor."
"You're welcome, sweetheart," I allowed you to clean the wound with the antiseptic and dab it with a swab. "It's my job, after all. Now, (y/n), can you please show me how you were taught to make stitches?"
"Of course, Dr. Bateman," you replied without hesitation, and this kind of obedience seemed to become my personal drug.
Standing up, I took a moment to admire how your uniform accentuated all of your curves, especially the roundness of your ass and the arch of your hips.
Shit, maybe I shouldn't have let Courtney stay in my office?
With these thoughts I leaned against the white wall and took off my mask as I suddenly felt a strong urge to smoke, luckily I still had the box of cigars my father had brought me from Cuba. I imagined inhaling the sharp scent of snuff when Liza's sudden whimper pulled me out of my trance.
"Can I have an anesthetic?" She asked, squirming in her place as she watched you prepare a suture kit.
"Just a local one," I muttered, a bit annoyed. "That will be enough. (Y/n), what should you do before using anesthesia?"
My question made you freeze. "Ask the patient about any allergies?"
"Right, but in this case you can find all the information on the medical card," I took off the gloves and took the card in my hands. "Well, I don't see anything that would prevent us from using bupivacaine."
As Liza sighed with relief and I watched you take a syringe, I had to admit that I was amazed at how carefully and attentively you worked.
Maybe you're not gonna get kicked out of the hospital as fast as I thought.

The incidents happened a month ago. A rise of crimes within Inazuma right after the Vision Hunt Decree was deemed no more. Of course, it would make sense for there to be riots as lots of lives were lost and ruined. And while that should be the most logical answer, the Detective certainly doesn’t think the same way…
There was something strange about these cases, something that he just can’t put his finger on.
His wall is plastered with different clues and yet none of them seemed to connect, except for the fact that they were always done on a Sunday.
That would usually be his day off but because of these incidents, he has been staying far longer in his office than he should be. All he does is pace around his room, annoyed that this was happening.
The incidents were too far from each other. Arson, Robbery, Trespassing, Blackmailing…
He reads the letter again from the latest case. It is nothing to note off, just a few words of threat.
Perhaps he should get the handwriting examined, see if it matches with anyone. Unfortunately, that would take too long. Who knows what would have happened by then?
He drops the letter, ready to move on to another piece of evidence when he feels something strange.
Heizou stares at his fingers. “Wax?”
A part of the letter is covered in waxy material. He smells to check, to see if it is wax.
The letter surprisingly smells of cherry.
“What?”
Why would a letter threatening someone that they’ll kill them if they say anything smells of cherry?
He eyes it in confusion.
The detective leaves his room, wanting a second opinion from someone. Someone who can answer this for him, preferably.
He grabs the first person he sees, urging them to come with him. They immediately follow, already used to the detective’s usual quirkiness. He’s the one who earns the station their meal tickets, so they don’t really find themselves complaining.
They are in awe at the state of his room. “Detective? Is something wrong?”
He holds the letter up. “Can you smell this?”
The worker stares at it before hesitantly taking the object. “It’s sweet.”
Heizou hums.
“Right. Do you have any idea what that may be? It seems to be a wax of some sort, from a candle maybe?” He deduces.
“Pardon me, sir. But I don’t think it’s from a candle.”
“Oh, is that so?” He lets them continue.
They nod. “It’s uh, an ointment. A new one. I think this brand is really popular.”
An ointment? Does that mean that the perpetrator got injured from one of their crimes?
“What’s the ointment for?”
“It’s a…beautification product. The ointment prevents dry lips, keeps them plump.”
“Huh.” Heizou says, stunned.
He did not expect that at all.
“Is that all detective? Shall I go now?”
“Yes, you may leave.”
That…just brings more questions unanswered. Was this whole thing planned? Did they plan for him to notice this clue or was this just an accident? If it wasn’t, then why? What’s the purpose of the letter being tainted with the ointment?
This was turning out more annoying than it should be.
Another Sunday, another crime.
Heizou hasn’t left his office despite it being his day off, knowing that he’ll be called once again if something happens.
He sits with his feet both up on the table, waiting.
Once the door slides open, he immediately stands up, wondering what he’ll face today. Will it be a repeat of the previous crimes? New ones? Or perhaps, they’d finally gone out of their way to take someone else’s life.
“Detective. Is something wrong?”
“No? I’m quite fine.” Heizou responds, confused by the accusation.
“You were smiling, so…”
The detective bites his cheek. He shouldn’t be enjoying this, and yet…
It’s been a while since he’s been faced with such a challenge. He can’t wait to unravel this piece by piece.
“Poison? That’s a new one.” Heizou checks the scene, seeing the mess that unfolded. There was dried blood on the floor, something that the victim coughed up.
Close.
They were just tipping over the line of possibly killing someone. If help wasn’t called, he probably would have died. It’s lucky that the victim is only suffering from a bruised throat.
He’d want to ask them questions but since that victim is in a comatose, he can’t exactly do that.
“Where’s that person who called for help?” Heizou asks.
He’s brought to the residence next door. He reads the name outside and finds that he has never once crossed that name in his investigations. That kind of thing is rare. Almost everyone has some kind of dirt relating to them. So it’s either that this person is as innocent as they come, or…
Once he knocks on the door, the person on the other side is quick to respond.
“Yes?” You answer.
“I’m here to ask a few questions? You are aware of what happened, yes? Since you’re the one who called for us here.” Heizou states.
He waits for an answer from you, only to receive none.
“Are you alright?” He asks.
“Is there a need for this? I assure you I haven’t done anything.” You say.
“Just making sure, we all do this with the people involved in these incidents.” He explains.
“If that’s the case…you may take your time.” You tell him, smiling at the detective and letting him inside your residence.
Heizou searches your place and he finds…nothing. Everything is clean. Not a trace of anything suspicious.
What’s strange instead, is your behavior.
He notices how you watch every single move he makes, eyeing him up and down. Perhaps you were merely curious. Otherwise, he isn’t sure why you’d do such a thing.
“I’m not your suspect, am I?” You ask.
Truthfully, you were far from it. You saved the victim’s life unintentionally.
“What is it that you work again?” Heizou knows but he asks anyway, seeing if you’ll slip up.
“I’m a writer. I write mostly romance novels, I assume you aren’t familiar with my name? After all, I’m sure the great Shikanoin Heizou has experience with romance in real life that he doesn’t need to turn to fiction, no?” He irks his tongue, knowing that you were only complimenting him. However, that with the way you look at him seductively suggests another thing.
That you were flirting.
He takes the bait and bites back, smiling as he replies. “I haven’t heard. Would you mind giving an example of the things you write?”
You chuckle softly. “A sample, you say? Oh, you know. Just your usual flirtatious lines.”
“Like what?”
“I’m afraid they’re a bit too…provocative. I shouldn’t say such things when you’re working.” You admit, though he’s sure you’re only saying that to be polite.
“I can take it.” Heizou says.
“Can you, pretty boy? Are you sure I’m not too much to handle? Ah, why don’t you use those tight handcuffs of yours? I might be unable to keep my hands off you if you keep talking like that.”
The detective stills. He stares deep into your eyes, not expecting that. He stumbles a bit with his words, unsure of what to say. Heizou keeps his trembling fingers in his pockets, not wanting to seem as if he’s that easy to fluster, though that doesn’t shy away from the slight reddening of his cheeks.
“That’s…a good one.” He simply states, keeping his eyes on your soft lips.
“Is it, Mr. Shikanoin?”
He’s aware that you’re teasing him, he knows that it’s all for fun. Yet, that doesn’t stop the fastened rate of his heart.
Next thing he knows, his own hands are moving and he’s clasping the handcuffs around your wrists.
He drowns in the approval your eyes give him, letting him know that he’s doing such a good job.
“Oh? Have I done something wrong, Detective? Or is this also protocol?”
He nods.
“You’re under arrest…for stealing my heart.”
You laugh at his statement. “You’re so cheesy. Is this how you usually act with your suspects?”
“I…Hold on.”
He lets you go, continuing to search your house. There has to be something in here, it’s too suspicious that there’s nothing. He can’t have himself distracted by you toying with him like this.
Then, he spots something inside the bedroom. He didn’t notice it at first, thinking it was a picture frame because of the way that the bedside table was covering its bottom half but now that he realizes it, he’s sure that it’s a door.
“May I move this table?” He asks.
Heizou sees you grin. A grin that sends shivers down his spine. Was he onto something after all?
“Sure, the key’s inside the drawer.”
He opens the drawer and takes the key. He then shakily opens the door right after he removes the obstacle that is your bedside table.
Heizou doesn’t like how eerily silent you get, how you’ve bruised your bottom lip from biting too hard.
He almost hesitates to open the door, intimidated by what he’ll see inside. His fingers hold the key tightly, he breathes deeply and looks back at you.
You raise an eyebrow at him, clearly amused. “Scared?”
“Yes.” He admits.
“You shouldn’t. I’m the helpless one in handcuffs, not you.” You reassure him.
While he knows you’re right, there’s still an uneasiness in his chest.
“I-I suppose.”
Heizou turns the key, expecting a crime scene. He had his choices in his head. Maybe you kidnapped someone and put them in there. Or, a dead body rotting inside that you had no way to get rid of.
However, what he sees is something unexpected.
That’s because Shikanoin Heizou sees himself.
Newspapers about him solving different crimes, arranged from when he just started to his most recent one. Pictures of him were taken discreetly, some of them even being done while he was sleeping in his office. Paintings of him, strands of his hair, and clothes that he thought went missing. It was a collection. Sort of a shrine even, but the center of it all is him.
He turns back as he hears you snickering and he has never been this glad to put someone in handcuffs in advance.
“W-What is this?” He questions.
You stare at him, confused. A confused look on your face.
“My love for you.”
“Love.” He restates.
You smile widely. Too wide that he sees your gums. Heizou’s fight and flight senses were tingling but were left with one option when you close the door with your back.
He reassures himself that it’s fine. He has a vision, you’re in handcuffs. If things were to go out of hand, he’ll end up being the victor.
“I really wanted to kill that guy.” You tell him.
“That guy?”
You nod, tightening your fist. “He was insulting you. I wanted to rip his throat out, show him what he deserves for saying such things.”
Heizou continues for you. “But you didn’t.”
It’s stupid. You know he’s a detective and yet you’re telling him all of this, as if you’re certain that you’ll come out of this without any repercussions.
“I didn’t! I knew you’d hate me if I did.”
It slowly starts to click in his head. You wanted to see him in public during his day off, that’s why you always orchestrated it at the start of every week. The letter with the beautification product, you were probably kissing it while you wrote it, knowing it’ll land in his hands.
As he thinks, the detective gets occupied and doesn’t notice that he’s centimeters away from you.
“I like that.” You say.
“Huh?”
“You’re smiling.” You point out.
Heizou uncomfortably relishes that fact. This is the second time that he’s been told that.
He hates the fact that this whole mystery has brought him such great entertainment. He’s been so focused on dealing with political problems within Inazuma that a mystery just like this brings him that thrill that he’s longing for.
This is so much better than that.
He shouldn’t enjoy it, and yet here he is.
The little detective is caught off guard as your lips smash on his. He tastes the blood from your bruised lips, how you press your mouth, your tongue sliding inside. He’s dizzy, unable to figure out whether he’s starting to choke because of how you tickle the back of his throat with your tongue or due to the lack of air.
He wants to escape, to take a breather. However, despite your hands being tied down, that doesn’t prevent you from putting pressure on his crotch to keep him still. Pleas escape from his mouth as you continue pressing down.
Heizou’s not fighting back and it stresses him. Instead, he takes your tongue so obediently as if he’s not the one who has the power to keep you locked up.
He pants as you separate from him, head buckling down and trying to focus on standing up. The fact that everything he sees is his face doesn’t help.
“Oh, I love you. I want to keep you all for myself.” Heizou sees the lovesick eyes that focus on him.
It amazes him how you’re able to handle him so easily.
You let your mouth do all the talking. Your tongue licks every sensitive part of his body, trailing saliva all over him.
“Haaa—Fuck~” He feels his knees weaken.
“Make more of those sounds, Heizou. Let me hear you more. More, more, more…”
Your insanity is nothing to laugh at, and yet he follows exactly what you say.
He pulls at your hair, tugging at your scalp as feels the same tongue on his shaft. He cannot stand up for long, whimpering with each and slow agonizing lick. He’s aware that you want to hear him beg, to scream out how much he needs you to cum.
He bears being on the edge…until he starts to get desperate.
“Please…!”
“Please, what?”
He’s too drunk on the feeling of being edged that he can barely answer, only a stuttering mess as his cock rests in your mouth.
“M-More…N-Need to cum!”
His back meets the wall as he tries to stay on balance, holding onto your head. He keeps mewling, forgetting the reason why he’s here in the first place.
“That’s right, baby. I won’t let your dick forget, make you unable to cum without me.”
He tilts his head back as he cums, sweet noises flooding your ears. His thighs shake and he’s this close to hitting the floor hard if not for your assistance. He lays meekly on the floor, white drenching his legs.
“Sweet detective, so fucked dumb. Here I thought you were a genius.”
“H-Hard again—Want to cum…” Heizou replies, showing off his ass while starting to get on all fours.
“You’re fucking your stalker. Such a pervert, aren’t you? Don’t tell me you’d let anyone get with you?”
Heizou whines as you say that. That’s not true at all, you just don’t understand. He wishes he could explain, but with the way he is right now, he doubts if that’ll be possible.
The noise that leaves Heizou’s mouth as you stretch his hole out and penetrate him is embarrassing. He sounds like an animal in heat like this is what he’s made for, to mate with your dick inside of him.
He quivers as he feels your hand on his back, pushing him down but in doing so, keeping his ass up as he pushes on his own deeper into you.
He breathes in between moans, your cock screwing into his walls while his cum spills easily on the floor.
“S-So good—C-Can’t think!”
“That’s right, squeeze your walls onto my cock. Remember my shape. You’ll be taking no one else’s but mine, my love.”
He thinks that you’re so vulgar with your words, your tone encourages Heizou into another orgasm.
He cries and shivers while he gets hit with it, his walls clenching tight.
Heizou’s body is so sensitive at this point, his body being as limp as it can be.
He flinches as you empty into him, your warmth dripping to his thighs since his tiny hole can’t take all of it.
He watches it in shame, wanting all of it, wanting every single drip to be contained inside of him. The look he gives is so seductive, it would put kitsunes to shame.
You thought of ending it but with that face he made, you reconsider this decision and flip him, having his face in front of you this time.
The detective doesn’t know what he’s just gotten himself into.
Heizou sees his own cum pool onto the ground, the tears blur his eyes, he can’t stop crying at how you pound so roughly into him.
He’s lost track of the time of how long he’s stayed in this god-forsaken room. The logical part of his brain should tell you to stop, if this keeps going on, he’ll for sure be unable to even walk himself to the bathroom. Unfortunately, his mouth says the complete opposite, blabbering and even encouraging you to keep going.
“Hmpf—! Cock—Too good!”
His nails grip the tatami as he cums again. He doesn’t know how he’s still able to go on when his clothes are soaked to the brim.
He hears you laugh again. “How about a change in profession? I heard the brothel’s hiring, detective.”
He understands you’re teasing. You would absolutely not let that happen, you would kill whoever lays their hands on Heizou.
For such a person with a small stature, he has quite the stamina and skill. He sheathes you in so easily, though of course, with the necessary moaning and gasping of your name. Not only that, he perfectly warms your cock like he’s been doing this for years.
“Shit. With how much cum you’re taking, I wouldn’t be surprised if you turn up pregnant.” You say, spreading his ass to see his beautiful hole leaking cum.
“Please…” He cries out.
“Hm?”
“Please do…”
It doesn’t take much to rile you up. It’s also very obvious that anything Heizou says, you will follow.
You slam hard into Heizou, each thrust has it that the detective’s insides are being flipped, his guts being adjusted just so he could take more and more of you.
He can see your cock’s shape in his belly, his thin figure doing nothing to hide it. It’s starting to round up due to his belly that’s filled with your cum. You keep fucking him hard, until your load spills inside his walls.
When Heizou wakes up, he realizes that he can’t move an inch. He’s clean, his clothes are changed and he smells good.
He’s in your bedroom. He concludes this because he sees a glimpse of your strange room filled with things of his. With the amount of time he’s spent in there, he gets light-headed even from just thinking about it.
The doorknob turns and he sees you come in, a bowl of warm noodles in your hands.
He blinks.
You’re not wearing the handcuffs.
He wonders how you got out and where you put them instead.
He looks down.
Heizou sighs.

DAILY CLICK 🇵🇸 - (takes a few seconds!)
Fuck.
To say living with Ellie is “Hell”, that would be an understatement!
The whole interaction with her the day after she came home completely plastered, the one where she said you looked “shitty”, that was about 3 and a half weeks ago.
You didn’t even understand what the actual fuck was wrong with her! And sure that seems mean, you knew how it sounded! But she’s probably the most unreasonable person you’ve ever met.
She’d get pissed if you got up to early for your classes because the moving of you just simply walking “Woke her up!”
She constantly takes your food, drinks, snacks, whatever. Basically everything that was in the fridge, and purchased by you, also now happened to be hers!
And every time you brought up how it was rude or disrespectful she’d shut it down! Saying something along the lines of “Well I lived here first!”
Living in a place that was completely foreign to you, and having the worst possible fucking roommate unsurprisingly didn’t mix well!
It also didn’t help you had a grand total of 0 friends. You were shit at small talk and conversations, that was nothing new.
But then again you also knew staying in your shared apartment with Ellie. That wasn’t something you could deal with much longer, you just had to suck it up and talk to literally anyone except for fucking her.
So that’s what you did.
Walking to class was alright, the cold air hitting the back of your neck was extremely apparent but you sucked it up.
The sun was still struggling to make it past the clouds but to be fair it was the least of your concerns, because as of now you were making some genius plan to make some friends..!
You had Jess and Alex who are great. You wouldn’t trade them for the world. But even they knew you had to get out there more.
At least that’s what they’ve been texting you all morning. Stuff along the lines of “You got this!” and “Just try not to panic”
So you kept that plastered in the front of your mind as you continued to walk down the campus trail, there was music blasting in your ears, trying to come up with conversation starters till there was a slight tap on your shoulder.
A girl, she was taller then you, had brunette hair, blue eyes, and a tiny smile on her face.
Her hand slightly moves signalling you to basically take out your headphones which you complied. You assumed it was already weird that you were staring at her for at least 5 seconds.
She spoke softly. “Hi..!” You just give her a smile back, thinking something along the lines of “Who the fuck is this??”.
“H-Hi?” You stuttered out a confused tone leaking which she clearly picked up on because she followed by saying. “I’m super fucking lost right now and you seemed approachable!” She chuckles letting out a quick “I’m a transfer student, and my class is 182..? Do you mind?” She holds out her map which shows the campus.
This leads you to quickly smile back. “Shit, I’m 182 as well. I can just walk you if you want?”
This has her immediately nod and you see the relief all over her face. “Fuck, thank you. I have no clue how to read paper maps”
“No?” You smile at her words and she follows up by shaking her head.
“Never thought I’d be in this situation, so no!” She smiles at you, causing you go stumble over your words.
“I-I uh didn’t get your name?“ You choke out.
“Fuck right! Mia, sorry!“ Mia smiles holding out her hand to shake.
You hold out your hand and shake it back. Quickly telling her your name.
༻♡︎༺
You learned that apparently during Mia’s transfer, the papers got all mixed up, which is now leading her 3 weeks after the term had started.
You and her quickly found yourselves sat beside each other during the whole lecture. (Which you hardly followed since you guys were talking a shit ton.)
And by the time it finished she didn’t hesitate to get your number, she was definitely way more bold then you..
You couldn’t tell if Mia was being simply platonic or if maybe she was trying to flirt?
You were sorta bad at signals and so when she asked you to do homework today, specifically together, quickly calling it a “Date!” you decided to deem it as non-platonic.
So here you are now walking back to your apartment shoulder to shoulder, talking about school, friends, where you both grew up, shit like that. Really just getting to know each other during the walk
It didn’t take long till you reached your apartment fumbling over the key hole as you unlocked it giving Mia a clear view of the auburn sat on your couch.
When Mia sees Ellie sat on the couch she quickly talks “Oh is she your?-“
You assumed Mia was going to finish off the sentence with “girlfriend” which had you almost shout out a quick no, because Ellie. Gross.
But! You decided as a calmer approach “No!- No we’re roommates! I- It was like an ad and shit so..”
Mia then smiles and nods looking straight at your. “Okay cool!”
Did Mia care if you had girlfriend??
But before you could even fucking talk, Ellie turns around, this makes you assume she was probably going to the kitchen, but as soon as her green eyes hit Mia’s then yours she just sorta stops. Spitting out a harsh.
“People are desperate now!” Ellie chuckles continuing to pick up where she left off and walking to the kitchen. Grabbing a few snacks.
Your eyes land on the side profile of Mia’s, her eyebrows are furrowed, she knew the comment was directed towards you. Because Ellie’s eyes stayed on you when she said it.
Mia was about to say something but you quickly grab her hand intertwining your fingers with hers.
You’ve never had a girlfriend. You didn’t know if this was normal to even do considering you and Mia were probably the furthest from dating, but you just wanted to draw her attention off of someone like Ellie.
You got the impression Ellie wouldn’t turn down a fight, which see showed with you, and those just all happened to be verbal.
You didn’t exactly want to see what the fuck would happen if Ellie got into a physical fight. Especially not with a girl which is showing at least some interest in you?
Mia’s eyebrows drop, no longer furrowed, and you see a pink rise to her cheeks.
You clear your throat, because now you’re nervous having you hand intertwined with Mia’s. So you quickly disconnect the both of your hands before talking to her..
“We can uh-my room is just over her” You point and quickly lead Mia to your room avoiding Ellie’s gaze purposefully.
You open your bedroom door, you and Mia instantly stepping into your now properly decorated bedroom.
Having a bed which you lacked just 3 weeks ago.
Mia finds herself on your bed dropping her bag on the side of the frame. She scoots back pushing her back against the headboard.
She quickly started up conversations which you grazed over considering you now have a fucking person in your room. On your bed!
“Your room’s pretty” Mia smiles
“T-thank you!” You smile looking at her finally being able to bare proper eye contact “If you came her 3 weeks ago we would have been on the floor”
Mia laughs and let’s out a “Why??”
“I had no fucking bed! Since I travelled so far, they were losers and didn’t want me bringing my queen bed on the plane?” You chuckle obviously joking which prompts a laugh from Mia.
“Seems lame” Mia smiles and you finally sit beside her on the bed.
“Super lameeee” You drag out your “e” which now left you feeling super fucking lame, it made you cringe at yourself which you tried to laugh off.
Mia smiles and chuckles, grabbing her laptop which she conveniently already took out of her bag. “I don’t wanna do all this fucking work” Mia looks at you having the blood rush straight up to your cheeks.
“Y-yeah no me neither, I already have like 3 things I gotta work on.” You chuckle looking back at her.
Mia had almost 0 problem having her eyes glance down to your lips. Yet you fucking did.
I mean sure you obviously wanted her to kiss you but you had no fucking knowledge on what to do? But before you could even think about it, Mia’s lips find themselves right on yours holding your cheek softly.
You immediately respond kissing her back having your eyes roll to the back of your head.
You were really just hoping your doing it right, but considering she’s not pulling back, you sorta come to the consensus it’s good enough!
You felt Mia’s tongue invite itself inside your mouth, her kisses now leaving and moving to your jaw and neck.
To say you were now just a bit nervous would be an understatement!
You obviously fucking liked Mia? You’d be dumb to not? But to be fair you didn’t even fucking know her middle name? Or really to much shit about her.
You didn’t know what this was? Like what if she just wants to hook up or something..! You obviously didn’t want that??
And she had to feel something was off because she pulls back her eyes now falling onto your face studying your face trying to read it. Quickly noticing how your eyes are planted on the ceiling.
“You okay..?” Mia ask having her hands drop from the back of your neck to your arms.
You didn’t even notice her lips where off your neck and jaw since you were doing your best to just disassociate.
“Hey..” Mia sits more up now her eyes meeting yours.
“W-what?” You stutter quickly swallowing the lump in your throat.
“You okay?” Mia says her eyes not leaving your face making sure she didn’t make you uncomfortable and accidentally do something wrong.
“Fuck- was I reading it wrong??” Mia ask, now starting to panic thinking she just kissed a straight girl or something?
“N-no! No! Fuck- no i’m sorry I just, I- I haven’t done this.??” You say spitting out not wanting Mia to leave or something.
“Like what? Shit with a girl” Mia says.
“At all.” You say really trying to have this justify and explain to her why the fuck you were practically tweaking out just from getting kissed.
“O-oh?” Mia says it surprised, now slowly fixing your shirt feeling bad. “Fuck i’m sorry”
Mia looks at you “I-if I knew I wouldn’t have like gone so fucking” Mia try’s to explain with her hands which failed causing you both to laugh.
“I-no your good. I just like- maybe slower.” you say looking at Mia thinking she’s gonna laugh. Not a lot of people go “slow” now, and you knew that.
“Slowwww” Mia smiles dragging out her words before softly kissing you again now not doing anything crazy like tongue, literally just kissing you.
༻♡︎༺
That was a crazy as it got. Literally just kissing which you appreciated. It also didn’t take long before the sky turned dark and Mia had to leave, you walked her out, kissed before she left and everything felt insanely intimate.
But just like in Ellie fashion she always had a whole lot to say. You hardly noticed her before she talked.
“I meant what I said by the way! Didn’t realize people were so fucking desperate” Ellie slightly laughs her hair falling over her face which she promptly moves.
You just look at her. “The fuck is your issue Ellie.” You say trying to shrug off her comments but it just doesn’t work.
“I don’t have a fucking issue, just think anyone would have to be insanely fucking desperate to go out with you, that’s all?” Her stupid fucking laugh echos your shared apartment.
“You always have a lot to say.” And you don’t even know what made you say the next sentence considering you knew hardly nothing about the situation. You had a lead, an idea of what it was so you took it.
“What happened with Cat Ellie? Dina and Jesse brought it up, fuck did she leave because of how fucking annoying you are or?”
It didn’t take long till her face dropped the smug smirk no longer planted on her face.
Guilt stuck you hard. Sure you didn’t like Ellie but the fact her eyes are glazing over, just from one fucking sentence means you probably crossed a line.
I mean was it fair she could say all this shit about you with nothing in return. Obviously no?
But then again you didn’t know what actually happened with this Cat? You knew it was some sorta “situation” at least that’s how Jesse worded it a few weeks ago. But then again it wasn’t your place to bring it up.
“Fuck you.” Ellie’s voice chokes up for the first time in god knows how long. She turns around. So clearly the Cat thing is personal! You quickly thought to yourself!
“Ellie..” You follow and she turns around and pushes you, which almost has you fall straight back.
“Fuck off!” Ellie says her voice now stern, fist clenching at her sides.
There was no doubt she was probably going to punch you, but luckily there was a knock on your guys door.
“Ellie let us innnnn!” Dina’s cheerful voice comes through the door.
Almost immediately Ellie walks over shoving you, in the process her shoulder comes slamming against yours which almost causes you to fall back.
You hear the door open and a pair of footsteps enter. Ellie doesn’t even bother to great them.
“Okayy? Rude” Dina chuckles thinking it’s just Ellie being Ellie.
But when Ellie also glances past her and sits on the couch. Dina starts to get a weird vibe.
Dina slowly turns her body towards you “Hey!”
You don’t even know what to reply with. You just let out a slight “Hi.”
Dina tilts her head, her eyes glancing from you back to Ellie. Both of your eyes seem heavy. Jesse quickly puts down alcohol and snacks on the kitchen counter.
Quickly Finding himself beside Ellie on the couch which she quickly shoves over to the furthest cushion, being the possible furthest away from him. Hardly matters though because she stands up. “The fuck?”
He mutters looking at Ellie’s body slowly leaving, trailing to her room.
“What happened” Dina says both her eyes flat on you.
“I-I brought up Cat.” You mutter out.
Just by the fact Dina’s eyes trail straight to Jesse and Jesse immediately stands up walking down the hall “Imma check on her”
Dina nods and looks back at you once again. “What’d you say…?” Dina’s tone is stern, her cheerful tone now lacking. She’s literally just trying to figure out what happened.
“I-I just, she was being m-mean to mi-mia and me-“ You try and spit out but Dina cuts you off clearly not trying to hear about someone she literally doesn’t know.
“Just what did you say!” Dina says fully over the rambling, she knows whatever the fuck you said must be bad because Jesse is still trying to get into Ellie’s room.
“I-I just said something like ‘did Cat leave you because you’re annoying’! I didn’t- I didn’t except shit. Like I didn’t except it to actually strike a nerve??” You quickly say looking down embarrassed of your words. “I brought yours and Jesses name up accidentally, I swear!” You quickly add.
“Shit..” Dina sighs rubbing her hand down her face letting out a groan. You don’t know the story and Dina’s trying to remember that.
Dina was about to talk more but you quickly cut her off. “I swear I didn’t- I didn’t except her to freak?”
Dina shakes her head. “You don’t know the story. Okay.”
You don’t even know why you care. I mean Ellie’s a dick, she’s been for the past 3 weeks. But you never wanted to actually hurt her? You wouldn’t consider yourself “mean”. But as much as you convince yourself you no longer seems if you care you just spit out.
“I- then tell me..the story?” You say.
2 months earlier.
(Ellie)
“Ellie” Dina says laying on Ellie’s bed looking at her.
Ellie’s spacing out looking at her celling.
“El!” Dina says a bit louder sitting up waving her hand over Ellie’s face having Ellie quickly snap out of it.
“Fuck yeah” Ellie says her voice cracking trying to form a smile which feels all to fucking forced..
“We should go out tonight. You know get out of the apartment that has Cat in it.” Dina says looking at Ellie’s facial expression. The idea seems uncomfortable. Going out without Cat at this point felt foreign...just weird…
“I don’t know.” Ellie fiddles with her hands instead of facing Dina’s brown eyes which feel like they’re piercing into her thoughts right now.
“It’s a break. I mean I could invite her?” Ellie suggest looking at Dina almost like she wants approval.
Dina knows the idea probably isn’t smart but she sorta shrugs. After all it’s just a break. Not a breakup.
“Yeah! I can bring Jesse too” Dina smiles suggesting looking at Ellie.
Ellie’s eyes finally light up like they used to.
“I’ll ask then!” Ellie quickly stands up smiling at Dina before leaving her bedroom which just a few nights ago, had Cat still sleeping in it.
—————————
The argument between Cat and Ellie was stupid. Ellie and Cat wanted to go do something special for their 1st year anniversary. They had an idea to go somewhere special, like a foreign country or something. Just to get out, spend quality time. Shit like that.
Then the first problem came. Ellie and Cat had two very fucking different budgets. Ellie has lived in New York for a bit and had a stable job.
A type of job she could live off of.
Then Cat. Cat definitely had a better job, she wasn’t shy to bring it up either, quickly pointing out all the places Ellie could realistically afford were “shitty” and “gross” instantly forming a fight.
“Why do you act like i’m not trying?” Ellie says looking at Cat tears already brewing on her lower eyelid..
“I’m not acting like anything Ellie?” Cat says scoffing sarcastically. Almost like she’s blaming Ellie. “I just think your job clearly isn’t paying enough.”
“Doesn’t it matter we’re going together?” Ellie says looking at back at Cat now standing up.
Cat follows up by standing in front of Ellie. “Ellie don’t pull that shit!” Cats tone is getting louder and she shakes her head fast.
“I’m not pulling anything! You’re acting like me not being able to afford places that are 700+ dollars is like i’m purposefully doing this!” Ellie’s tone is also getting but it has more cracks rather then Cats.
“Okay Ellie.” Cat says sarcastically just rolling her eyes, grabbing her bag.
Ellies eyes are shifting from Cats hands, to the clothes she’s grabbing, and back to the bag. “W-where are you going?”
Cat sighs and shakes her head. “I just want space. I’m gonna stay at a friends tonight.”
Ellies almost baffled. Confusion is flowing all throughout her brain. “Why?” Ellies eyes again are glossy. ‘this isn’t a breakup, this isn’t a breakup, this isn’t a breakup.’
“We clearly fucking need a break Ellie!” Cats words echo throughout Ellies brain..
“W-“ But before Ellie could even finish her sentence a slam of the front door rings Ellie’s ears and she’s now left alone in their shared bedroom.
—————————
Even though Dina thought it was stupid Ellie was shoulder to shoulder with Cat as they stand outside in the alley, which the club is left of.
Ellie’s eyes are the brightest they’ve been since that day. So even if Dina thinks Ellie even talking to Cat after the fight was dumb, if Ellie’s happy. That’s what matters.
The reason they were all outside the alleyway of the club is because Jesse is the only 21 year old in their whole group so he had let them all in through the back.
And as soon as the door opened and the music poured out Dina, Ellie, and Cat all entered.
It really didn’t take long till they were all drunk, they easily got served so they got loaded up fast with shots, the whole group downing them in mere minutes.
Ellie was enjoying her night, at the end of the day she was with Cat?
The girl she loved no matter what..
“I’m gonna go get us drinks!” Cat says talking into Ellie’s ear so she can hear over the loud music.
Ellie quickly gives Cat and thumbs up and a slight smile. “Okay!”
10 minutes go by, still no cat.
it’s been 10 minutes since Cats been gone, Ellie now just wants to make sure Cats okay? It shouldn’t take that long yet it was?
Ellie quickly taps Dina’s shoulder as she dances with Jesse. And leans into her ear “I’m gonna go find Cat! She’s been gone a bit!” Ellie says and Dina nods responding with a quick.
“Want me to come?” Dina smiles looking at Ellie.
Ellie shakes her head and smiles point at Jesse. “Nah! Enjoy dancing!”
Dina chuckle and nods watching as Ellie disappears in the crowd.
Ellie is pushing through a few bodies not seeing anyone who represents Cat getting drinks. Her eyes are scanning all over debating whether or not she should check inside the washrooms?
Until she sees Cats head in the middle of the dance floor. “Cat!” Ellie yells smiling until she sees it. Her voice falls short and her smile fades.
Cats kissing another girl.
Ellie’s whole face turns pale and she gets hit with a wave a nausea that hits her like a brick.
Everything goes in a fucking blur. Ellie’s shoving through a shit ton of bodies. Tears streaming.
The scene is..ugly..
But she’s been dating Cat for almost a year. All of it, it’s down the drain in the matter of seconds. Ellie’s hands are shaking as she pushes the alleyway door open quickly trying to calm the fuck down.
Ellie sits down on the ground her chest falling up and down as her vision blurs. Black spots are appearing in her eyes and she feels like she can hardly breath.
It doesn’t take long till she can hear Dina’s muffled voice. “Jesse! She’s out here!” Dina says crouching down rubbing Ellie’s back.
Ellie assumes she hit Dina on the way out since she was so fast to find her. Ellie’s having a full blown panic attack and it’s not going away.
Jesse also crouches down beside Dina, reaching his arm on Ellie’s shoulder asking Dina if she saw what even happened.
Dina continues telling Ellie to breath. She softly rest Ellie’s hand above her chest to follow her own breathing pattern. “Ellie in…and out”
Dina looks at Jesse. “Wanna get her some water.”
Jesse quickly nods running over to the convenience store which is across the street.
As soon as Jesses leaves, Dina looks at Ellie. “Ellie what happened.”
The sparkle which was in Ellie’s eyes during the beginning of the night is now gone. And she just shakes her head. “Cat kissed some girl. I saw her while-while it was happening.”
Ellie try’s to clear her throat, a cover to stop the tears that are threatening to spill from her eyes again.
After that night Ellie didn’t want to feel.
So she made the decision she was done with trying to feel.
Present
(You)
“Fuck.” You sigh now realizing how much you fucked up. You brought up a situation you knew literally nothing about and probably just gave Ellie new fresh wounds which were probably just healing. “I thought the girl who moved out went back to her hometown or something, It was Cat though..?”
“She probably didn’t feel like explaining it” Dina let’s out a dry chuckle which is to cover how fucked the whole situation is.
“Listen it’s not your fault.” Dina sighs shaking her head.
“You didn’t know?” Dina tilts her head her eyes finally meeting yours.. “Trust me I know Ellie can be a dick.” Dina says rubbing your shoulder, she doesn’t want you to feel guilty.
“Give her time to ease up” Dina nods trying to reassure you her behaviour will be better.
“I’ve gave her 3 fucking weeks?” You say. Almost all your sympathy leaving your body once again. Sure you wanted to feel bad for Ellie? But she’s mean all the fucking time.
What happened to her unfortunately doesn’t excuse that.
“I feel bad, a-and I get what happened to her isn’t fair. I know it wasn’t right for me to say what I did, but it’s also not fair for her to take it out on me Dina.” You say looking at Dina and Dina’s head drops.
“I’ve been friends with Ellie since freshman year. I swear to you she’s only ever fucking been like this these last 2 months.” Dina says, it’s like she’s trying to convince you that Ellie’s not a complete dick. Which you’re finding hard to believe.
Just as you were about to speak. Ellie walks out of her bedroom with Jesse. She looks straight at Dina then you, for the first time in fucking weeks Ellie doesn’t go straight to insulting you.
You can tell by the fact her eyes are now red she’s obviously been crying. You’ve never seen vulnerable before. Never with red eyes, her nose still sniffling, the outer area of her eyes still wet, you haven’t ever seen Ellie like this..
You didn’t say anything considering you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt since you were 100% the cause to her crying.
Your eyes follow Dina as you see her step forward and just hug Ellie. Ellie doesn’t push back or refuse. She just wraps her arms back around Dina.
Ellie’s face goes in Dina’s neck and it’s like a different version of Ellie.
Not like the version you’ve constantly been seeing.
You’ve seen Ellie like this before, it was when she was sleeping on the couch after coming home drunk with Dina and Jesse..
A version of her which was calm and real. Not someone behind a dark, mad, rude, persona. Probably the Ellie before Cat decided to fuck her up.
The Ellie which felt.
A/N -> Part 2 is here!!
I really hope you enjoyed reading this chapter, because I did actually enjoy writing this! I already have a full plot lay out for the 3 part so expect that maybe next week. (don’t hold me to that 😭)
I’m gonna shift from a bit of the angst because I feel like i’m sorta shit at writing it, idkkkk!
I’m still super busy with school but so far my work load has been going down a bit, so I plan to work on obviously my other fics while still prioritizing this one! (Because I plan 5-6 parts)
That’s all! Ty again for reading likes and reblogs are really appreciated! 🫶🏽

watched the pilot storyboards, albeit only 3/4 of it, and I like how the pilot made Luz seem more like an outcast eccentric weirdo, which is what she's supposed to be, rather than an ignorant asshole who is borderline terrorist
instead of her waltzing into school with dozens of spiders, snakes and fireworks, that she all planned to use INSIDE the building with a smile on her face and not a care in the world, here she instead only brings one snake to school and that's it. a snake that stays with her and her only, doesn't bite anyone, and whom she also later sets free OUTSIDE school. sure, she mentions that Azura is going to "explode out of the snake's stomach", but I heavily doubt it meant that, if the teacher hadn't stopped her, she was gonna pull out a big pack of fireworks, like the ones she had in the show, stuff them inside the snake's mouth and blow it up, especially considering she called the snake "friend" and seemed to treat it like an actual living being, instead of a book report prop, since she had a bag of food for it in her locker.
honestly they should've kept this scene in the 1st episode, at least partially.
like, the start of the episode would play out the same as in the pilot, except Amity isn't here and doesn't stand up for her, so Luz just quietly sits down at her desk in embarrassment and maybe pets the snake while looking upset or something. it then continues the same, up until she opens her locker.
(by the way, I feel like this scene would work better to show the audience that Luz is a nerd, by looking at all those things in the locker, that are usually considered as either nerdy, childish or both, rather than having Luz herself just tell us that she likes to do nerdy things)
in the pilot, that's where Amity walks by and Luz tries to talk with her, but since she wouldn't be able to be here in the actual show, instead Luz would hear an announcement from the principal that he needs her to go to his office. cut to her sitting in the office with her mom already there, and then it generally plays out the same way it did in the 1st ep – the principal says that Luz's been disrupting classes often and have been making her classmates weirded out and disturbed by her antics, which also simultaneously lead to her having no friends. no spiders in class and fireworks inside building – only her acting overly eccentric and weird, to the point where she might accidentally ignore some of the social norms, like with that book report in the pilot and the school play in the show. then the principal mentions today's geometry class that Luz interrupted and says that this was the final straw – not only because something like that happened however many times before, but also because this time she brought a live snake to class, and while it didn't bite anyone (unlike in the show, where her snakes bit MULTIPLE people, and Luz was just like "oops, guess that's where the backup snakes went haha lmao"), it was still a very dangerous thing to do. Camila would react to it in surprise and ask "Mija, where in the world did you even get a snake?" or something like that, with Luz just kinda awkwardly shrugging in response, while looking down at the floor. after that, the principal offers for her to go to a summer camp, to "get her head out of the clouds", and everything else plays out the same way it did in the actual 1st episode.
if it was like that, then, once again, it would actually make Luz look like just an eccentric nerd, who doesn't actively try to harm or disturb anyone, and just does things that she thinks are cool or fun. sure, she might come off as a bit ignorant, with her occasionally ignoring classes and social cues, but it would be just because she's too passionate about the things she likes and gets so much into them, that she might forget the real world in the process.
but uh... the 1st episode Luz isn't exactly that
letting dozens of small spiders inside class, while not giving a shit about people who are scared of those is not cool or fun.
letting however many snakes roam free and bite everyone, while, again, not giving a shit about them being bit is not cool or fun.
and, fucking hell, setting off fireworks inside the school without a second thought is NOT cool or fun
so yeah, that's all I've got
also I wish the "Why would anyone throw it away?" moment with Eda was somehow kept in the show, because it's honestly beautiful and I love it. I don't know how they'd be able to pull it off in the actual show, since Amity was never able to go to Human Realm there and thus Luz wouldn't be able to make that drawing of them, but oh well, it's good that we're able to see this scene at least in the storyboard form.

beneath the silent boughs, whispers of danger flow
Frankie Morales x f!reader | WC: 5.8k | 18+ mdni | masterlist
Summary: An adventure planned to impress you goes sideways, leaving Frankie scrambling to get you both out alive.
Warnings: Cursing, danger, drugs, guns, injuries, and some good ol' outdoor sexy times (blow job and p eating). Established relationship. Set in Florida panhandle (so no mountains, unfortunately). Reader is a blank slate except for hair in a ponytail. No use of y/n.
A/N: Written for the Summer Lovin 2024 writing challenge created by @pedgito, @chaotic-mystery, and @amanitacowboy (thank you, lovelies!). I was given the above moodboard and the following prompts: Hiking, Frankie, and 'you always carry an extra pair?' I had a lot of fun with this, so thank you ladies (gn)! Also, thank you to @saradika-graphics for the dividers!
“I want to take you hiking.”
You stilled, head swiveling to stare at Frankie incredulously. “Hiking? Frankie, this is Florida. There’s no hiking here.”
Undeterred, he smiled until that enticing little dimple in his cheek came out to say hi. “Not Colorado level hiking like you’re used to, no. But we do have some hills and caves in the Panhandle that I want to show you. Have you ever been caving?”
“No, I’ve never been caving. I make it a rule to avoid bats, so caving is a hard pass,” you replied, scrunching your nose up in distaste, an expression Frankie found endearing.
Frankie stared up at you from his prone position on the bed while you fixed your hair. He could watch you for hours. “Oh, come on! You’ve hiked the Rockies with grizzlies and shit, but you’re telling me bats cross the line?”
A few short steps closed the distance between the vanity and the bed, and your fingers reached out to run through Frankie’s mop of messy curls. “We all have our limits, chulo. Besides, why are you so insistent on this?”
Shrugging, he sat up, one large hand grasping your wrist. Frankie placed a series of kisses along the soft, supple skin along the underside of your forearm. “I dunno. I just want to impress you, you know? Take you hiking somewhere you’ve never been before.” His free hand scrubbed at the back of his neck in that nervous tick of his. “I can’t afford to take you on fancy trips, so…”
Still in the early days of your relationship, Frankie labored under the impression that you needed to be wooed. Little did he know you fell for him the moment you laid eyes on him, the night your best friend introduced you to her boyfriend’s best friends. Classic friends to lovers trope, it took you both a while to fess up to the depth of your true feelings, but when you finally did…
Things were good, really good.
“Babe, you don’t need to take me on fancy trips. I don’t want you to take me on fancy trips, not unless it’s somewhere you really want to go,” you emphasized, your hands cradling his face. Placing a soft kiss on his pouty lips, the scruff of his beard tickling your chin, you continued, “I want us to do things together, share the burden together. If we want to travel, we’ll plan something together. Fancy’s not really my style anyway.”
When you pulled back, Frankie followed, his lips seeking yours once again. The kiss deepened as you sat on the bed, his tongue licking into your mouth and caressing yours with such finesse it set your soul on fire. You didn’t have time to follow through on the promise of that kiss, though.
“We have to get going or we’ll be late,” you reprimanded, easing back to your feet.
“I’m sure Benny would understand if we were late to his match,” Frankie pouted, his large hands trying so hard to grasp your hips and pull you back in. You dodged him with artful precision, using the defensive moves he taught you.
“Nuh uh, come on. I’ll let you take me hiking this weekend if you get your ass moving right now.”
After a five-hour road trip followed by a restful sleep in the cabin Frankie booked, you found yourself clinging to Frankie’s broad frame for warmth on a guided cave tour in the Florida Caverns State Park on Saturday morning. The temperature difference between the surface and the cave more than you bargained for, you’d freeze without your boyfriend’s arm around you or the long-sleeved shirt he pulled from his backpack.
The whole ride up from Tampa, you thought Frankie wanted to do the full-on spelunking experience, repelling down cave walls with helmets and belay lines, exploring crevices and shit. It turned out he just wanted to go on a guided walking tour of the caves – nothing crazy or dangerous. Thank goodness! You were adventurous, but not quite that much!
The stalagmites and stalactites were actually pretty cool, especially backlit as they were with thoughtfully placed lighting features chosen by the park staff, but you preferred to explore nature’s offerings aboveground. At least there were zero bat sightings!
“That wasn’t so bad, right?” Frankie asked once the tour concluded, and you were left to explore the surface of the park on your own or head back to the car. His arm still around your shoulders, the last of the lingering chill fading away, you smiled up at him.
“Nah, it was pretty cool, actually,” you admitted. Stripping off the extra layer, you handed it back to Frankie. “Thanks for this, babe.”
He beamed at that, tossing a fist in the air. “One point for me then!”
“Easy there, flyboy.” Patting his chest with a hearty laugh, you asked, “Where do we want to explore next?”
Glancing at his watch, Frankie hummed. “Let’s go check out Apalachicola National Forest - we saw it on the drive over. It’s huge and there are lots of less traveled trails to check out.”
“’Less traveled trails’ huh? You plan on murdering me and disposing my body off one of those trails?” You bumped your shoulder against his as you teased.
“Pssshhh, never,” he replied with a laugh, kissing your forehead as you climbed into his car. Once he settled in the driver’s seat, Frankie turned to you with a devilish grin. “I had other things in mind when considering which trails to explore.”
“Oh, really? Do tell.” He merely smirked at you.
The drive between the two areas went by quick, Frankie trying his best to one up you on hiking knowledge and bragging about rucking miles with a 50-pound rucksack in the military.
“Your skills are clearly legendary, chulo. My leisurely day hikes along the easiest trails in the Rockies have nothing on you.” Flashing him a teasing wink, you double knotted your hiking boots and grabbed your backpack, which likely weighed a tenth of what Frankie used to carry. Eyeing the pack he tossed over his shoulders, you asked, “How much does that one weigh, tough guy?”
“You tease now, la bronquinosa, but you never know if you’re gonna need something from this pack.” He shot a quick text off to Santi, letting him know where you two were headed just in case. Cell reception could be spotty in the area, he warned you on the ride up.
You followed Frankie toward the main trail marker, enjoying the view of his backside as you did. “That’s my Frankie, always the voice of reason.”
Despite the sun being near the midpoint of the sky, the forest canopy blocked most of the heat. Still, it was Florida, so you hiked in shorts and tee shirts to avoid overheating, skin slathered in sunblock and bug spray. You strolled in peaceful silence for a while, letting the sounds of nature wash over you as Frankie led the way with his innate sense of direction to the trail he wanted to check out.
You passed a few folks on the main trail, mostly couples or small families out exploring the shorter loop. As you progressed farther into the forest and off the main trail, it felt like you were the only two people amongst a sea of flora. Hiking and chatting about whatever came to mind turned out to be a great way to spend a Saturday with your handsome, rugged boyfriend.
After a while, he pulled you off the trail into a copse of trees along a small creek. A flat rock outcrop right next to the river marked the perfect place to take a break. Frankie dug the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches he made the day before out of his pack, handing one to you. The two of you sat on the rock and devoured the sandwiches and a bottle of water each as you enjoyed the serenity of the water babbling in the creek.
Once your stomachs were sated, Frankie leant over and kissed your neck in that spot that always set your senses on fire. Glancing around, you confirmed that no one traveling along the trail would see you before giving into the sensations.
“You’re giving me goosebumps, chulo,” you crooned, fingers knocking the cap from his head to run through his thick, curly locks.
Frankie continued his ministrations, nipping and sucking little love bites on your sensitive skin as he worked his way down your body. Before long, he was on his knees, working your shorts open and down your thighs with nimble fingers until they slipped to the ground. “Time for dessert, I think,” he said before pulling the gusset of you’re already soaked panties aside. His dark eyes soaked in the view of your glistening pussy for several long moments before diving into lap at your juices.
Back arching in pleasure, your hips slid forward on the rock, legs spread wide for Frankie. Mewls and moans left your lips, echoing off the trees as he worked your clit with his tongue, one thick finger dipping inside you.
“Fuck, Frankie,” you gasped when he hit that spongy bundle of nerves with the curl of his finger. Master at eating pussy that he was, Frankie had you coming, hard, in minutes, and he drank up every drop that leaked from you.
He sat back on his haunches after working you through it, mustache and chin scruff glistening with the evidence of a job well done as he grinned. “Mmm, that’s the best dessert a man could ask for.”
You grinned back at him, slinking from atop the rock to join him on the ground, hands already grabbing for the button of his shorts. “My turn.”
Without further ado, Frankie fell back on the ground, legs straightening as you eased his shorts down his slim hips. Mindful of the wilderness, you left his boxer briefs in place, one hand delicately extracting his hardened length from the hidden opening. Frankie had the most beautiful cock you’d ever seen – long and girthy, perfect upward curve and a prominent vein on the underside that just begged for you to lick it.
He watched you with those dark chocolate, baby cow eyes, pouty lips dropped open as you swiped the flat of your tongue along his entire length. Those beautiful eyes about rolled back in his head when your lips wrapped around the head of his cock, tongue tracing along the little slit in search of precum.
Sucking his cock into your mouth eagerly, you drew lewd moans and whimpers from Frankie. “Fuck, carino. You’re so good at this. You were made to suck my cock.” One large hand grasped your ponytail, wrapping the hair around his palm to direct your movements. His other hand clawed at the ground, fingernails scraping into the dirt.
On edge, Frankie pulled you back by the hair, giving you both a chance to catch your breath before the pressure of his hand forced your mouth back down onto his cock. You took him deep, the broad head hitting the back of your throat with each bob of your head. You loved the feel of nearly choking on him, knowing how much he fucking loved it.
At the gentle scrape of your teeth along his mushroom head, Frankie lost it. Thick ropes of cum hit your tongue as your mouth continued working him until he was a whimpering mess from the overstimulation.
It took a few minutes to recover, Frankie’s chest heaving as he caught his breath from the coming so mind-blowingly hard. You stood to find your shorts on to note the uncomfortable dampness of your panties. Frankie looked up from buttoning his own shorts at your groan.
“What’s wrong, carino?”
Your hips shifted awkwardly, trying to adjust to the feeling as you pulled your shirts up your legs. “My panties are uncomfortably wet,” you whined, shoulders slumped.
Head shaking, Frankie chuckled. “Don’t worry, I got you covered, hermosa.” Digging around in his pack, he pulled out a fresh pair of your panties.
Mouth dropping open, you just stared at him for a moment. “You always carry an extra pair of my underwear around with you?”
Frankie laughed as you snatched them from his hand. “I’ve learned the hard way to always be prepared, hermosa. I carry an extra pair of everything.”
“Fucking boy scout,” you muttered under your breath, yanking on the fresh panties followed by your shorts.
“No, hermosa, fucking Delta Force,” he replied with a cheeky wink.
Once you were both sufficiently put together again, he kissed you, teeth nipping at your bottom lip like it was a gummy worm. “Alright, hermosa, ready to keep going?” Frankie asked, scooping his hat from where you tossed it and placing it on his head.
You nodded, grasping his hand to lead the way back to the trail. A thin sheen of sweat from the recent activities covered your bodies as you walked. After a while, Frankie steered you off onto a trail that looked like it had barely ever been used. Vegetation grew in an arch over the limited path, leaving you feeling like an explorer traversing undiscovered land. You watched the ground carefully, trying to avoid tripping over exposed roots. So focused were you on the ground that you didn’t see the low hanging limb that Frankie ducked under in time.
“Ow! Fuck, that hurt!” you exclaimed when your forehead smacked into the unforgiving hardwood, nearly knocking you off your feet.
Startled at your exclamation, Frankie turned to find you ducking under the tree, hand hovering over a gash in your forehead. “Oh shit! Hermosa, let me see.” He eased your hand away, thick fingertips assessing the damage with tender touches.
“Does it look as bad as it feels?” you asked, voice pitched higher due to the pain.
“That tree branch gotcha pretty good,” Frankie admitted, slipping the pack from his shoulders. He kept talking as he dug through the pack for his trusty first aid kit. “It’s bleeding a lot, like head wounds do, but I don’t think you need stitches or anything.”
“Well thank fuck for that. It better not scar,” you grumbled, letting your boyfriend tend to your wound. His nose scrunched up, tongue poking out between his lips as he concentrated on tenderly cleaning the wound.
“There you go, almost good as new,” he said after placing a gentle kiss over the bandage he’d just secured over the gash.
“My hero,” you teased, fluttering your eyelashes at him.
Waving you off with a chuckle, Frankie hefted the pack over his shoulders and took your hand. “Want to call it a day or keep going? I’m good with whatever you want to do.”
You pretended to mull it over for a moment. “Let’s keep going. We didn’t come all this way just to hike for an hour.”
If only you knew how much you’d regret those words.
Deeper into the forest, you spotted a great horned owl perched in a live oak, eyes closed and blending in so well you almost missed it. The bird of prey only cracked an eye open when you stepped on particularly crunchy detritus trying to get closer. Frankie snapped a few pictures of the owl, along with a couple of snakes, ospreys, and even a bald eagle that you spotted on the hike.
At a small clearing, you stopped for a water break. Something off in the brush caught your eye when you bent to retie your shoe. Squinting, you needed confirmation from Frankie on what you were seeing.
“Babe, take a look at this,” you called him over to where you hunched down. “Look over there, just past the thick brush, in that patch of sunlight. Is that what I think it is?”
Frankie followed your line of sight, eyebrows raised. “If you’re thinking those are a couple of pot plants, then yes.”
Shooting him a mischievous look, you stepped closer to the hidden plants. “What in the world are they doing out here? There’s only a few. Maybe we should take a bit to enjoy back at the camp.”
Frankie stepped up behind you, shocked at your audacity. “Hermosa, I don’t think that’s a good idea. We don’t know who that belongs to. I can tell you right now, whoever it is, they are definitely the type of people we do not want to steal from.”
“Oh, please,” you waved him off, stepping through the underbrush until you closed in on the pot plants. “I’ll only grab a bit; they’ll hardly notice a few buds missing.”
“Fuck,” Frankie hissed, following when you didn’t stop at the first plant you reached. You snapped off a flower from a few plants, trying to be discreet and not just shred an entire plant. You noticed a few more plants and followed the narrow clearing between trees to reach them.
The pattern continued as curiosity took over, following the small patches until you stepped out of the protection of the trees into a larger clearing with far more plants and evidence of some kind of clandestine drug operation surrounding you. A rundown cabin sat to one side, windows covered from the inside and caked with dirt on the outside. A growing pile of trash peaked from behind it. The arid smell of ammonia hung in the air stinging Frankie’s lungs.
The sound of dogs barking sounded nearby, yet his scan of your surroundings didn’t locate them. He did, however, count two pickup trucks and a few all-terrain vehicles. This was very much not good. It only became worse when a couple of men exited the cabin, standing on the beaten down porch for an apparent cigarette break.
“Hermosa, we need to get the fuck out of here.” He tugged you down out of sight, slipping a hand over your mouth as you yelped. He didn’t smother the sound in time, and it drew the attention of the men. Frankie hurriedly dragged you by the hand back to the thick forest, shouts from the men echoing behind you.
Somehow, you both lost sight of the unmarked trail you came from. Hugging the tree line until Frankie found a spot to slip through the thicket, you looked over your shoulder. Your eyes widened as one of the men reached behind him, pulling a pistol out of the back of his pants.
“Oh no, that can’t be good,” you groaned, drawing Frankie’s attention as you turned around to hurry into the woods. He immediately clocked the guy with the gun, running across the clearing, as the other men started up the ATVs, engines roaring to life.
“We need to move!” Frankie’s voice pitched deeper than usual, urgency taking over as gunshots rang in the air, pulling you deeper into the thicket. One hand dug in his pack, removing a Glock 9mm from a hidden pocket. He let go of your hand for a moment to check the clip and pull back the slide, humming in satisfaction once it was locked and loaded.
You just followed numbly, doe-eyed and head aching from the gash, panic already setting in. “Are those guys gonna come after us?” you squeaked.
“Most likely,” Frankie replied, mind whirling. He didn’t want to scare you, but you needed to know the truth. “We weren’t meant to find that place. It smelled like a meth lab; did you notice that? We need to hoof it, find somewhere to lay low while I come up with a plan.”
The two of you raced through the woods, relying on Frankie’s innate sense of direction and his memory of geological features you passed during your hike. You breathed a sigh of temporary relief that the barely-there path you followed was in no way wide enough for the ATVs, the engine sounds growing distant.
“Come on, hermosa. We need to keep moving, but I also need to check the phone for a signal. Can you dig it out of the front pocket of my bag without stopping?” Frankie’s demeaner remained calm, collected as you practically fell apart.
“S-sure,” you replied, voice as shaky as your trembling hands. With awkward, jerky movements, you managed to unzip and remove Frankie’s cell phone from the pack while keeping up with his rushed movement through the forest. Powering the phone on, you waited as it searched for a signal.
Two bars… that had to be enough, right?
“Here, there’s not much signal.” You handed the phone to Frankie and watched as he quickly pulled up Santi’s contact.
Your fingers crossed until the call went through. Frankie spoke frantically into the phone once Santi answered, but you couldn’t decipher what he said. The sound of your own breathing and pounding heart echoed in your ears, drowning out everything else. You don’t know how long they talked – it could have been minutes or hours – but you watched the tension in Frankie’s shoulders ease ever so slightly when he ended the call.
“The boys aren’t far. They were headed up here already, jealous of the adventure we’re on or some shit,” Frankie explained, still maintaining a hurried pace back toward the main trail. “Santi’s gonna call the cops, tell ‘em what we saw. I gotta send him coordinates.”
At last, Frankie slowed to a stop, eyes searching the sea of trees in every direction, trying to figure out where to go as his fingers worked his phone, sending a text to Santi with approximate coordinates based on your current location.
“What are we gonna do?” you asked, a chill washing over you despite the searing heat of the day. Your arms wrapped around yourself, seeking comfort any way you could find it.
Glancing up once the text went through, Frankie took in your obvious panic. “Hermosa, baby, it’s ok. We’re gonna be ok. I just have to find us somewhere to lay low for a bit until the boys or the authorities get here.”
He’d kill for a topographical map right then.
“Let’s head back for that creek where we… you know. We’ll need to get creative to stay out of sight in case any of those guys are tracking us. Okay, hermosa?”
You nodded; bottom lip squished between your teeth to keep it from wobbling. “I’ll do whatever you tell me, babe.”
“That’s my good girl,” Frankie smiled then, lightening the mood for a moment. Grasping your hand, he set off again, paced hurried but still manageable on the uneven path. The last thing he needed was for you to roll an ankle tripping over an exposed root as you ran through the forest.
The ATV engines rumbled in the background, reminding you both that the bad men were still out there, searching for you. Time became this weird, liminal thing as Frankie led you through the forest, never stopping until he spotted rocky outcrops, the stream from earlier visible beyond.
“Time to get creative. You ready?” His hands came up to frame your face, dark eyes searching your own. At your nod, Frankie leant in, pressing his lips to yours in a tender kiss, thumbs stroking your cheeks. Pulling back, his eyes never left yours. “I love you; did you know that? I think I loved you from the moment we met.”
Flummoxed, you giggled, brows raised in shock. “And this is the moment you choose to tell me?”
“Well, yeah,” he mumbled, chagrined. One hand dropped from your face to swipe at the back of his neck. “I…”
“I love you, too, Frankie. Always have, always will. Just, please, get me out of here alive.” You pressed your lips to his, tongue slipping into his mouth to tangle with his for a moment. It might have been a weird time to exchange the L-word, but it served to lessen your panic. You could so easily lose yourself in the moment, if not for the sound of the ATVs. Were they getting closer?
“I won’t let anything happen to you, hermosa. Not now, not ever.”
You followed Frankie down to the stream and watched as he dipped his hands into the water, scooping up some of the sediment with his fingers. He beckoned you to crouch next to him. Once you did, he swiped his fingers across your cheeks, leaving dark swatches of clay-like sediment to dry on your skin. Continuing the movements, he covers portions of your exposed skin and even swipes some over your clothing. Satisfied, he turned to do the same to his own skin and clothes until you both looked ready for war.
“Camouflage?” you inquired, finally understanding.
Frankie nodded. “Exactly. We’re gonna hunker down over there,” he pointed to a particular outcrop with a large indent in the soil on one side of it. “This will just help us blend in.” Before leading you over to the boulder, he swiped some more mud over both of your clothes for good measure, trying to dull the brightness of the fabric.
Clearing out some additional space beneath the boulder, Frankie guided you into the spot, sliding in next to you. Once in place, he covered you both with any foliage he could reach. “We need to stay quiet now, ok? Just hang out until we hear from the guys, or the other dudes get close.”
You nodded, tucking your head into the crook of Frankie’s neck. Breathing in the musky scent of him calmed your anxiety, anchoring you down from the overwhelming fear threatening to cloud your senses.
“I’ll keep you safe, hermosa. I swear. Te amo,” Frankie whispered against your hair, one muscular arm flung over you, drawing you in tighter to his body.
Time crawled, just like your skin at the thought of bugs crawling over you. You fought the urge to fidget, to scratch at the skin of your legs. The sun dipped in the skin, the light of day fading. At long last, the phone buzzed in Frankie’s pocket and he carefully, quietly extracted it. A text from Santi letting you know the guys arrived and were spreading out to search the forest for you. Frankie sent updated coordinates for your current location, and you silently prayed that they’d find you before the bad guys.
You counted to sixty in your head ten times before the first sound of nearby movement startled you. “Shhh,” Frankie purred in your ear, his right hand slowly, subtly moving toward his waistline to grasp the Glock. His left hand typed a quick, cryptic message to Santi, an answering buzz coming almost immediately.
“Fuck,” he hissed at the message as the sound of crunching leaves and cracking twigs grew closer, louder. It wasn’t Santi, Ben, or Will making the noise. He could only hope it was a large animal, but Frankie knew deep down that it wasn’t. “Hermosa, we’re gonna have to move.”
“Why?” you breathed, panic rising once again.
“That’s not our guys, making that racket,” Frankie whispered. “When I say go, you need to run. Go through the creek, get to the other side and follow the water as long as you can. I’ll catch up to you.”
“What? No! I’m not leaving you!” you whispered harshly, head shaking imperceptibly.
“Sshhh, you have to. Trust me, please? I love you. This is me making sure nothing happens to you.”
You wanted to argue, the words right there on the tip of your tongue, but Frankie’s beautiful, dark umber eyes pleaded with you to listen, to do what he said. There was an unexpected hint of fear in his eyes, something you never thought you’d see. It went against every fiber in your being, but you nodded. You would do what he said, run until you couldn’t anymore and just hope that he stayed right behind you.
Pressing a kiss to the top of your head, Frankie eased up, peeking over the outcrop in the direction the noises were coming from. Two men – ones he saw back at that cabin – scanned the woods, searching for the two of you. He ducked back down, helping you to a squat position.
“It’s now or never, hermosa. Remember what I said, through the creek to the other side and follow the water. Just be careful – it’s getting darker as the sun sets. I’ll be right behind you.”
“I love you, Frankie. Please don’t do anything stupid.” Part of you ached to stay with him, to face the danger head on together. But you knew you couldn’t.
“I love you. Go. Now!” He shot to his feet; pistol raised to cover you.
Heart pounding in your chest, so hard you felt it in your throat, you stumbled to your feet and ran. Your hiking boots splashed through the calf-deep water of the creek before you scrambled up the other bank. Gun shots pierced the air, and you swore a bullet whizzed past your head.
“Fuck!” you screamed, running full tilt through the trees, staying close to the stream but using the forest for cover. Deep voiced shouts echoed behind you, more gunfire. A stitch ached in your side, still you ran. You tripped over roots, falling to the ground as the sky grew darker. Still, you ran. Even your head bouncing off a rock following one particularly hard fall didn’t stop you from scrambling back to your feet. You ran and ran and ran.
Feet carried you as far as your lungs allowed before you fell again, gasping for breath, body tucked behind a large live oak, hoping against hope that the trunk hid you from view. Entire body trembling from the adrenaline, an eardrum piercing scream burst from your lips when a hand reached out from around the tree, grabbing your shoulder.
Fighting with the little strength left in your body, you kicked and clawed at the owner of the hand, struggling as hard as you could to get away. In the heat of the moment, you forgot every tactic Frankie taught you.
“Sshhhh, it’s okay, hermanita. It’s just me.” A voice you recognized broke through the panic and all the fight left your body at once. You sank against Santi’s strong body, forcing him to hold you upright. “It’s okay. It’s okay.”
“Santi,” you cried, tears flowing down your cheeks in relief. “Frankie… he needs—”
“The boys are backing him up, he’s okay. Come on, I gotta get you to safety or your boyfriend will shoot me himself.” Santiago guided you around and over some obstacles, leading you back to Frankie’s car.
By the time you got there, a park ranger and county sheriff’s deputy were waiting, along with an ambulance. You frantically searched the parking area for signs of Frankie or the Miller brothers, but there were none. You met Santi’s gaze with pleading eyes, begging him to find Frankie.
“Let the medics check you out, hermanita. I’ll figure out where the others are.” He handed you off to the medics, instructing them to treat you with care or face the consequences before he turned to speak with law enforcement.
The cut on your forehead reopened when you fell while running, the pain just hitting you now that you were truly safe, and the adrenaline drained away. The rest was a blur, getting treated by the medics, speaking with the park ranger and deputy. All of it a haze, until Frankie appeared from the trail, supported by Benny and Will.
“Why are you covered in blood?” you blurted once they brought Frankie close enough. Still covered in the natural camouflage from the stream, he looked a wreck. Frankie’s beloved ballcap gone, hair awry and threaded with leaves, abrasions marring his handsome face, blood soaking through the right side of his shirt. “Were you shot?”
Feeling like a marionette, you allowed Santi to guide you out of the way as the medics tended to Frankie. Your eyes never left his while the medics triaged his injuries before loading him into the back of the ambulance.
“Go with him, we’ll meet you there,” Santi urged, gently pushing you forward. He helped you climb up to sit next to Frankie’s stretcher, smiling encouragingly as he closed the doors.
Thirty-six hours later, you and the boys were on your way home. You spent much of that time at Frankie’s bedside, refusing to leave. DEA agents resorted to interviewing you and Frankie in his hospital room as you adamantly refused to meet them anywhere else.
Apparently, you and Frankie happened upon a well-established meth operation. The pot plants that drew you in were the least of what the agents found upon raiding the camp. Frankie and the boys subdued two of the drug traffickers before Frankie suffered a hit from a third man who snuck up on their six. The agents and sheriff’s department took care of the rest. With all that the authorities found, they doubted they’d need either of you to testify, but the agents told you they’d be in touch if necessary.
You doted on Frankie, holding him close in the backseat of his truck while Santi drove. Benny and Will following behind you in Will’s car. Fingers threaded through his hair in soothing strokes as he laid across the seat with his head in your lap. The wound still fresh, it hurt him too much to sit up for the five-hour drive home.
“You know what, chulo?” you asked quietly, bending forward to tilt your head over Frankie’s.
“Hmmm?” he gazed up at you, nearly purring in contentment as you scratched your nails against his scalp in slow, tender motions.
“I still have all those buds I nicked,” you grinned mischievously. “We’ll make edibles next weekend. How does that sound?”
Frankie stared up at you with those big cow eyes, a soft smile curling his lips. “I’m gonna marry you. Whenever you’re ready, Imma ask you to marry me. You’re the bravest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. I gotta make you my wife before someone else steals you away.”
Words a bit slurred from the pain medication flowing through his veins, you gazed at him with such love in your soul. “I love you so much, you stupid, brave man, but I think you’re letting the pain meds do the talking for you.”
“Hey now! I’m injured. I got shot making sure you got to safety, you can’t call me stupid.” He pouted like a child, looking impossibly adorable with his wild curls like a halo around his head. “And it’s not the pain meds talkin’. I’ve always wanted to marry you, right from the moment you smiled at me.”
Rolling your eyes affectionately, you shushed him. Your gaze met Santi’s in the rearview mirror, his face lit up with amusement at the two of you. Shifting your gaze back to Frankie’s, you flashed him that smile that first charmed him. “Ok, chulo. I want to marry you, too. Whenever you’re ready.”
“Hey, Pope! Mind stoppin’ by a jewelry store on the way home?” Frankie asked sleepily, eyes already slipping closed. “I gotta get my girl a ring.”

Last Goodbye (2) | LH44
summary: the aftermath of the car accident
a/n: i had plans to make this a longer series, but idk what happened.
Part 1
💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌
Lewis looked at the police officer in panic. He was desperately trying to process what he was seeing but also trying to block out the worst parts at the same time. Nothing felt real. None of this could be real.
"Sir? I'm asking you to stand behind the line with the rest of the crowd while we sort this out." The officer firmly grasped his shoulder with one hand and gestured to the growing audience behind the police tape with the other in an attempt to guide Lewis there. But he wasn't moving. "Sir?"
"I- that. Uh- I." His tongue felt so heavy in his mouth as he tried to pronounce sentences that his brain hadn't yet formed. He cleared his throat softly before turning to look the officer in the eyes. The cop immediately softened with sympathy when he met the driver's tear-filled gaze.
"That's my ... girlfriend's car." He whispered. "That's -" And he broke down, sobbing into his hands and trembling against the police officer's body. Cameras beyond the police tape flashed wildly. The officer reached for his hand-held radio and muttered into it. A second later, he received a reply through the static noise. He sighed softly before patting Lewis on the back in consolation but also to get his attention.
"Mr Hamilton, we only have one body at the scene that needs to identified but it is male. We have a female being treated at one of the ambulances." He watched as Lewis reacted slowly to his words.
"She's alive?" He whispered.
"She is but I've received word that she's in horrible shape. I'll only take you over if you think you can stand to see the crash site up close."
Lewis stood frozen.
"Mr Hamilton?" The driver looked up. "I can drive you to the hospital instead. You can see her after she's been treated." The cop was gentle in his explanation as he tried to understand what the man in front of him was going through. Lewis' wet face had paled greatly, and his eyes were red from crying.
"Uh, yes. Yes. Uh- I'll go with her." He cleared his throat and wiped his eyes. "I want to go with her to the hospital. Please."
The officer nodded then picked up his radio to ask for a replacement for his position. He then guided Lewis further into the crash site and in the direction of an ambulance. Upon arrival, he did some more mumbling to another officer, who then led them to the doors of the ambulance.
"Here we go, Mr Hamilton. I think you should let them look over you to treat potential shock, okay?" The policeman wanted to reassure the driver and tell him that everything would be okay, but he'd seen how much blood there was in what was left of woman's car and he didn't want to create false hope.
Lewis nodded in gratitude but barely spared a glance when the man walked away. In the ambulance lay a woman on the stretcher, surrounded by a few paramedics frantically working on and around her. Bloody rags and bandages were messily gathered in a pile under the stretcher. The rapid beeping sounds from the heart rate monitor forced him into a panicked trance. The run here, the sight of her car, the pile of rags - it was all too much for him. He couldn't feel any part of his body except for his chest which began to tighten painfully. He couldn't catch his breath, or focus his vision, or control the trembles wracking his body. There was darkness in the edges of his vision that kept growing, moving closer and trying to shut out the light. He suddenly felt very tired and considered letting it do so. The little bit of light he could see was hurting his head anyways - stabbing at his temples in quick continuous motion. He wanted to see Y/n. He wanted to ride with her to the hospital and promise that everything would be okay. But he was so very tired and the pain in his chest was slowly ebbing away.
"Sir? Sir, are you alright? Are you- shit! Davis, I need another stretcher here now!"
The eratic beeping that sent him into a spiral now soothed him into a senseless sleep.
💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌
Y/n's body felt lighter than it had ever been. And she was floating in a pool of darkness. She hoped this was one of those weird sleep paralysis moments. There were no thoughts, no feelings, no sense of direction. No bliss, either. Just nothingness for a long time. Later on came the pain. Deep disconfort paired with a great stinging everywhere. She tried to move in order to relieve herself of the pain but found that the earlier floating sensation was because she couldn't move at all. She strained and strained til she gave up and whined in defeat. The whine came out louder than she expected and startled her before she realised that she could make sounds to wake up Lewis so he could help wake her from this sleepy state. She proceeded to whine loudly for a minute or two before the pain began to subside, and she felt herself slipping under. The nothingness overtook her once more. The next time she was aware of her floating state, she tried to open her eyes or move her hands, anything to reassure her that she was real and alive. This couldn't be the afterlife. She couldn't stay here forever. As her attempts to move went on, the pain returned once more but this time it was a subdued throbbing which she could handle. So she gave up and let herself float in the nothingness.
Minutes, hours, days, an eternity passed. She didnt know what was happening to her but she now knew this wasn't sleep paralysis. She couldn't put together too many thoughts though because nothing seemed to hold its form in her mind. Except for the pain. Which only grew as time went on til she could handle it no more and went to whine in protest when she heard something. A muffled sound floating with her in the nothingness. She strained to move towards it, using every muscle she could feel. The sound stopped immediately and she nearly screamed in fear and protest. It couldn't leave her here. She had to get to it, maybe then she could leave this dark hell. The muffled sound started up again but much louder and accompanied by more sounds. She stayed still this time in hopes that she wouldn't scare them away and they'd instead find her. Nothing. They stayed where they were and began to buzz softly til they went silent. She went to whine in defeat but felt sleep overcome her and end any attempts to reach back out to the sounds.
The buzzing was back, and so were the muffled noises. They were right next to her, right above her, right behind her. It was overwhelming, but she was grateful to be pulled out of her forced sleep. The bright light was bothering her, though - she froze as she registered her thoughts. Tentatively, she went to open her eyes. The ceiling lights were way too bright, so she blinked a couple of times, then turned her head to the side to adjust to the rest of the room. As she did so, she became aware of something lodged in her mouth and down her throat. In a panicked state, she cried out and went to grab at it as a loud beeping sound rang out in time with her quicky pulse. Just as she reached the plastic device on her mouth, a hand grabbed onto hers and stopped it.
"Y/n." She turned to her other side and met Lewis' wild eyes that were beginning to fill with tears.
She felt hers begin to mirror his in relief. Finally this nightmare could end.
💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌 💌
He wanted so desperately to pull her close and shield her from any more harm. But he was afraid of the injuries she currently had. Her body was wrecked, and he flinched slightly every time he looked at her. Green and yellow bruises all over, scabs on every surface, bandages covered the areas they'd shaved to stitch on her head, she sported the nastiest black eye he'd ever seen. Split lip beneath the feeding tube and broken ribs beneath her hospital gown. His heart had broken each time she took a faint ragged breath or whined softly in discomfort.
He snapped back to attention when she began sobbing as well as she could around the plastic that ran down her throat. He turned his grip on her hand to a soft grasp so he could bring it to his lips for a very soft kiss. His other hand moved to wipe her tears away in the same gentle manner
"Y/n, love. I'm so glad you're awake. You're okay. You're okay." His voice cracked in dispair.
She moved to pull the device from her face once more but he stopped her again.
"Hold on, hold on. That's a feeding tube. Let me call the nurses to get it out, okay? Just a second, love."
He got up to press the call button beside her bed multiple times. Her position in the ICU meant that they'd get attention quicker than expected. A minute later a few nurses came rushing in to assess and assist. He sat down to hold her hand as they removed emergency equipment, ran quick tests on her and switched her IV bag contents. During the entire ordeal she was quiet and hesitant. Moving slowly due to pain, answering only when she couldn't nod or shake her head in reply, squeezing his hand when they replaced plasters and ointment. Towards the end the nurse opened her file to update them.
"Ms L/n, we are pleased to say that you are recovering well. There is no significant brain damage besides a concussion. No internal bleeding, and we expect no long-term effects. The 4 broken ribs will take a lot of time to heal. The brusing will only require creams, and the stitches on your head and arms are holding up well. Any questions, dear?"
Y/n hesitated, then shook her head slightly to avoid more throbbing pain. The nurse nodded. "We'll move you to a recovery ward tomorrow for further monitoring." She moved to the door, "Mr Hamilton, I'll take you up on that promise now. Call us if you need us to set up the bathroom."
Lewis, smiled softly. "Thank you, Viv."
He turned to Y/n and she lifted a bruised brow at him in questioning. "What promise?" Her hoarse voice was music to his ears. Like a choir from heaven after the painful silence he's had in the past weeks.
"Uh, when we got here, I didn't want to leave your side for days so they made me promise to shower the second you woke up. And here you are. Awake, finally."
She slowly lifted an arm to cup his face in sympathy. She could now see that he hadn't bathed in a while. Nor slept. His braids were disheveled and dry, dark circles under his eyes, an overgrown beard, and mustache. He looked nothing like the Lewis she knew. He looked sicker than he did when he actually was sick. She felt her heart sink as she thought of how stressed he must have been all this time.
"Let's go then." She whispered.
"Go? Where?"
"To the bathroom. You run a bath and we can sit and talk about everything. I'll help you wash and redo your braids." She stroked his face as it crumpled up in confusion.
"No, Y/n. You need to stay here and rest. I'll shower when you sleep tonight."
"Lewis, you took care of me while I slept for a long time. I'm tired of sleeping. Please let me look after you this one time." She insisted. He shook his head. "Please Lew, please." She pressed kisses to his hands. "Please."
She felt bad that he had spent days at her bedside, worried sick about her. She really wanted to find out what happened after the accident but first she wanted her boyfriend to relax a bit. "Please, Lewis. It'll make me feel better too."
He sighed in defeat and leaned in to kiss her temple, but as he got closer, he felt his stomach churn at the close-up of her shiny purple skin. He closed his eyes and brushed his lips there. The guilt was eating him, but he was in desperate need of a hot bath. "Okay, wait here while I run it."
Minutes later Lewis was in the tub and she sat in wheelchair beside the tub. She refused to get in because she knew he'd focus on not touching or hurting instead of relaxing.
He was lazily playing with the hospital loofah while she rubbed the hospital shampoo into his hair. She didn't have the strength to unbraid then rebraid it yet so she settled for a good scrubbing, rinsing and moisturising session. He was a little grumpy about giving in to her now but she knew he'd feel better after this.
"How long have I been out?" She asked softly.
His soapy shoulders slumped. "Two weeks and a half. Today is Wednesday and the accident was-"
"On Saturday. Yeah, I remember that."
"Do you remember anything else? How it happened?" He turned to look up at her. She pursed her lips and shook her head.
"I remember leaving the house then it's blank. I woke up in the ambulance in excruciating pain. I called for you, I was scared. Then I guess I gained partial consciousness sometime these past days."
His eyebrows met in concern. "Really? The doctor said the pain meds would keep you under so you could heal without experiencing the first few weeks of pain."
"It wasn't horrible," she was quick to reassure him. "It was like floating in a pool with a blindfold on. I felt nothing but I did hear sounds."
"Yeah? They told me to keep talking to you. Your parents flew in to see you as well. We were worried you would -" he sniffled. "I couldn't live with myself, you know, if you died. I should have driven with you earlier that day. You would have avoided that car accident, and you'd be okay. Your car was completely totaled, Y/n. Completely."
She stopped massaging his scalp and lifted his chin so he could into her eyes. She would lean over and hug him if she had the strength to.
"It's not your fault. You went to work like normal. You couldn't have predicted that that would be the day something terrible happened. I'm more than grateful that you're here with me now, after it's all occurred. " She gripped his unruly beard tighter when she realised he wasn't convinced.
"Lewis, it was not your fault. Repeat that back to me." She demanded. He raised his eyebrows at her in slight disagreement. "Repeat. It."
"It was not my fault." He mumbled out.
"Yes, again."
"It was not my fault."
"Yes. One more time."
He sighed in annoyance but the hint of a smirk made her stare him down in mock annoyance as well.
"It was not my fault." He said firmly.
"I love you, Lewis Hamilton."
"And I love you, Y/n L/n."
She smiled sweetly and instructed him to bend his neck so she rinse the soap off his hair. He obliged, and she finished her tasks slowly before wheeling herself back to her cot so he could have the space to get dressed. The pain from sitting upright to help with broken ribs was excruciating now. She was struggling to breathe properly, but she didn't want Lewis to worry more now that she had managed to calm him down.
"Want help?" Came his soft voice from the bathroom doorway. He was clad in a hoodie, sweatpants, and dirty running shoes. The beard was gone but his long braids were tied back into a bun.
"Goodness, what would the fans of LHFW say if they saw you in this look! Sweatpants in public??" She joked. He smiled softly in amusement before sauntering over to lift her out of the chair. The feeling of his arms lifting and wrapping around her body made her blush.
"Watch your IV. Okay."
She winced when he set her down on the bed and moved the pillows behind her. "Oh, fuck. Sorry love, how bad is it?" He quickly straightened up in panic, but his hands hovered above her head and abdomen, not sure where to start.
"Lew, I'm perfect. Sit down." She instructed, reaching for his hand.
He wasn't convinced, so he stayed standing.
"Alright, fine. My ribs hurt from sitting up, but the pain is fading, I promise!"
His brown eyes were filled with worry, and his eyebrows furrowed. He reluctantly pulled the guest chair closer to her and sat down. He brushed his hand against her remaining short curls. Her purple eyelids lowered with his movements.
"You can sleep now, love." He whispered.
She tried to open her dark eyes, but they were too heavy and her aching body sank further into the mattress. But some part of her didn't want to go down without a fight. "I don't want to go back to the nothingness."
His voice sounded slightly confused when he reassured her that he would be right here to pull her out of the nothingness in a few hours. With that, she fell fast asleep.
He kissed her hand and reached for his phone to text everyone that she was okay and beginning a long recovery. Kind and lovely messages began to pour in, filling Lewis with great warmth. He had been worried sick about Y/n's health. Waking up confused in his own hospital room after fainting, he bargained and pleaded with nurses to let him see her. Then he spent every single waking hour with her. Only taking breaks to use the bathroom. He spoke to her every day, massaged her swollen and bruised feet, unbraided her bloody braids. His heart lept in his chest every time she twitched or whined but then sank to his feet when she didn't wake up afterward. It had been a long three weeks.
He sunk into his chair with a long sigh, still holding onto her hand. He was drained, hungry and dehydrated.
But most of all, he was incredibly grateful that he went through all of that and didn't have to say goodbye to the love of his life.

You baby brother Yuji, met Sukana on a walk last night after sneaking out and 'befriend' him so y/b obviously is worried cause who this Sukana so she goes with Yuji and meets Sukana herself. Sukana falls in love and rizz her up successfully so technically Yuji Unknownly set Sukana and Y/n up
MISSION: LOVE - RYOMEN SUKUNA
It was night time—the forbidden hours. Yuji mustered up the courage to bring himself outside without asking you for permission. You were sound asleep, without a single worry in your head as your mind wandered into the land of dreams. He felt guilty for going behind your back, especially since all you ever did was take care of him and try to keep him safe from the dangers of the world.
Yuji was already 15, and he was very much capable of taking a night stroll. Except it wasn’t really night anymore, it was midnight, 12:34 A.M. to be exact. You were going to kill him for going out this late, but he knew it was going to be worth it as long as his plan works.
You have been single for quite a while and Yuji thought it was time for you to meet someone. It was his way of giving back after everything you did for him. He wanted you to have someone else in your life. Your routine was pitiful to look at, for it was an endless cycle of work-cook-clean-attend to Yuji. He felt guilty for being your responsibility at all times, since your parents were no longer there to do that job.
“She must be so miserable,” Yuji sighed.
The cold breeze blew his face, and he smiled in delight, taking in the serenity and freedom the midnight had offered him. He raked his hair with his fingers as he continued to walk towards the nearby convenience store. There had to be someone there who could be a perfect candidate. He pondered, his mind replaying the exact words you told him when he asked you what your type was.
“Someone strong, capable, tall, and intimidating. I kind of like the bad boys, you know?” Those were the exact words you said.
Yuji kept repeating your words in his head like a mantra while he walked towards he glass doors. He pushed them open, and his eyes got to work, scanning every person in the room. His eyes landed on the cashier guy. He was quite short and nerdy-looking. He has a nice nose but he just seemed too uptight.
Nope. Next.
There was this tall man in a blue shirt who was checking the fruits. He looked like a foreigner. He had blonde hair, a tall and muscular stature, but he also seemed like some goody two shoes type of guy.
Next.
“Woah,” Yuji gasped as he stared at the big and tall man who was checking the beers in the refrigerator. He had pink hair, tattoos, and an ear piercing. He had this grumpy and intimidating aura. “He’s perfect.”
He quickly walked up to him, but suddenly got shy and scared. He swallowed the lump in his throat and looked up at the guy. “Excuse me… are you single?”
The big stranger grimaced. “Fuck off, will you? Aren’t you a teenager? Plus, I ain’t into that gay shit.”
“No,” Yuji squeaked, clearly embarrassed and regretting his choice of words now. “You might be interested in my older sister.”
The man thought about it, then looked back at Yuji. “Is she hot?”
“I don’t know how to answer that…”
“Alright, whatever. Give me her number.”
“I’ll just tell her to come here,” Yuji took his phone out and dialed in your number. “Uh, what’s your name, sir?”
“Sukuna.”
-
“What the fuck?” You groaned and rubbed your eyes. Your phone loudly rang and vibrated.
“Yuji” the contact name was displayed on your screen, causing you to panic. You quickly tapped on the button to accept his call.
“Oh my god, where are you? What happened?” You frantically asked him.
“It’s my new friend Sukuna. Convenience store. Now.” Yuji quickly dropped the call before you could ask more questions.
“Who on earth is Sukuna?” You groaned and rummaged your closet for some clothes, preparing yourself for whatever mess Yuji had gotten himself into. The frustration was getting to you, not only because you were tired and sleepy, but also because Yuji had decided to venture off at night all alone without your permission. What was he even thinking? Of course, you were more worried than mad, especially when you heard the name of another man. A million scenarios raced around your head, your mind trying to pick the most probable situation.
-
“Yuj!” You pushed the door open and searched all the aisles until you reached the alcohol section where Yuji stood with a stranger. “Who is this?”
Yuji deviously smile, mischief glinting in his eyes. “What’cha think about him? He’s your type, right?”
“Are you kidding me, Yuji?”
Now you were really angry. All that trouble because Yuji was trying to set you up with someone? What if he met someone dangerous? You shook away your frustrations, your attention now on the mad that stood before you. Shit, he is handsome. You hated to admit but Yuji succeeded.
“Yeah, he is,” you quietly mumbled, and you felt your face grow hot.
“What’s that?” Sukuna pointed behind you.
You quickly turned around, and found nothing. “Huh?” When you turned back to face them, you felt a finger poke your cheek.
“What a fucking dumbass,” Sukuna laughed.
“I wouldn’t fall for that if we were friends, but you’re just a stranger,” you protested. Your face was now as pink as his hair.
“Let’s change that, dumb woman.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Fine, I’ll stop, only because you’re pretty…” Sukuna sighed.
“Good,” you beamed.
“…Pretty dumb.” He added, his big hand ruffling your hair. Ignoring his corny remark, you couldn’t help but smile at the oddly sweet gesture.
Yuji triumphantly smirked, his arms crossed while he watched the two of you. “I’m way too good at this.”

Gunbun's Attempt At A Tiona Eryut Explainer Because I Apparently Have Some Kind of Following Now
(For the record I'm bun.breaker on discord, just send me an ask telling me who you are and I'll gladly accept any and all requests if you wanna yell about OCs)
Preface: All references to things like "now" and "x years ago" are relative to the start of Dawntrail. I uh… look, the developers gave us a time bubble so I'm lettin' time happen. ANYWAY.
All of this is subject to change due to MSQ or because I fuckin' feel like it.
A HISTORY OF A VERY AGGRESSIVE RABBIT WHO IS ALSO THE SAVIOUR OF THE KNOWN UNIVERSE follows below.
Tiona Eryut was born in the springtime as Tiona Eryut approximately 203 years ago in Yyasulani (now known as Heritage Found). She is the last of seven children to be born to the Eryut clan, a weird shetona hippie collective that had a couple of martial artists in it.
At some point in her youth, Tiona left Tural and ended up traveling far to Radz-at-Han in search of formal education and a desire to see the world. Not uncommon for Shetona.
Upon arrival in Thavnair, she spent a lot of time attending university at Radz-at-Han and learned about civil engineering. She was always good with her hands in addition to martial combat and paid her way via odd jobs… and then she discovered adventuring.
Over time she met a bunch of people who were viera refugees from Dalmasca who were getting their shit kicked in by the Garlean Empire.
She joined the Resistance. And did a few unnecessary civilian murder/terrorism things as part of that. She then got bumped on the head real bad in combat and forgot everything I just wrote down.
Tiona is recovering in a field hospital who-knows-where when she gets the cosmic text message to Hear, Feel, Think. Well, her hearing works. She feels like shit, and she thinks her name is Tiona Eryut, but anything more than that is just…. vague. To this day, apart from a few instances from her past that I occasionally bring up in fanfics for dramatic purposes, she doesn't remember much from before then. She also lost the ability to read, but chalked it up to her being in a new place. That new place is Limsa Lominsa.
The Main Scenario Quest pretty much plays out like it does; Tiona had a roommate named Keltgeim for awhile who helped her find her feet and eventually Tiona sets out to Be An Adventurer, because that's a decent living and she's here now, time to make the best of it.
Upon meeting and joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, she is taught (again?) how to read by Urianger Augurelt, but due to the particular nature of her bonk on the head, it's slow going.
Events continue, and Tiona and Urianger become fast friends. He lets her know that he's trying to get to the bottom of everything and might need to do deep cover missions. She was in a sort of military before, she gets it.
Tiona was developing feelings, and was about to say something to Urianger about it when Moenbryda came… and went. He was so grieved that she compartmentalized that fact for probably longer than she should have.
Heavensward proceeds for Tiona pretty much as advertised. When the Warriors of Darkness come around and Urianger finally gives the jig up she yelled at him about how THAT was his SUPER SECRET DISGUISE? Dude. (But hey, it worked… somehow?). Same with Stormblood.
Except by now Tiona and Urianger are dancing around the fact that there's this mutual attraction thing going on. They finally put on their Big Scion Pants and make plans for a date --
-- and then Crystal Exarch fucks up his gacha pull.
Now we get to Shadowbringers. Tiona was Big Mad at Crystal Exarch, even knowing who he was. And then The Plot got in the way of her and Urianger even having any kind of discussion about what was happening between them, and besides, it had been years for Urianger. So much could have changed.
Well, no, nothing changed, and right after Urianger's Big Lie, they skipped like eight steps in the relationship process and had some eager, rushed sex and I-love-yous before going off to the Tempest.
I WROTE A FANFIC ABOUT THIS PART. THREE OF THEM ACTUALLY, YOU CAN READ THEM HERE.
Don't worry. Tiona and G'raha Tia work it out and become bros.
Endwalker happens. Again, mostly as advertised. Tiona is doing her maximum emotional compartmentalization to get through it all.
At the end of all things Hydaelyn says to her that she will finally be granted the clarity she was looking for, because she found the answer to the big questions. This puzzles Tiona, who forgets all about it when she discovers that Sharlayan. Was Building. A Starship.
Adventuring AND engineering? Sign her up! During this time she notices that she's actually able to read things more quickly, but chalks it up to adrenaline.
The Scions of the Seventh Dawn become Etheirys' very first astronauts. Somehow she manages to hold it together through all of Ultima Thule and the big fight with Endsinger. She pats Meteion on the head, tears Zenos Galvus into pieces at the edge of the universe, and then promptly dies of her injuries.
BUT HEY REMEMBER, WE'RE IN A DYNAMIS FIELD. The Scions are shocked, but G'raha Tia has been shipping Tiona and Urianger across two goddamn timelines and he swore this one wouldn't go sour --
-- and the Scions accomplish a true resurrection to bring Tiona back to life. How? Why? IDK, dynamis.
Tiona is fucking wrecked from her fight with Zenos and has a prolonged recovery time and medical supervision from cutting-edge Sharlayan chirurgeons.
She decides that she's got nothing better to do and bullies Fourchenault Leveilleur into giving her Sharlayan citizenship and a chance to present an Archon thesis. (I'M WRITING A FANFIC ABOUT THIS PART BUT IT'S KIND OF HIT A WALL. THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS ARE HERE.) This appears to be what Hydaelyn meant when she said Tiona would obtain clarity. Her memories of her past will likely never come back, but she can move forward with everything in order to be the best version of herself.
Tiona Eryut spends the better part of two years in recovery developing the Azem F-1 aetheromagitek starship engine. Notable contributors to the thesis are Urianger Augurelt, Nero Scaeva, Jude Rose, and Thrustingway of Mare Lamentorum.
It's during this time that Urianger and Tiona do something highly improbable and MAKE A WHOLE BABY. His name is Alsault Eryut. Urianger heard somewhere that viera are matriarchal and Tiona doesn't even remember that she's from Tural so that sounds good to her.
Then 6.x patches happen, and riiiiight before we start hearing about going to Tural, 15 years pass. During this time Tiona and Urianger adopt a war orphan named Roroko Roko. Sharlayan formally commissions her to begin development on a useable whole starship based around the Azem F-1 engine. She calls up Nero Scaeva and the gang again and they get to work.
Oops, Urianger and Tiona fell in love with Nero along the way. Oops.
Dawntrail! Again! Exactly as advertised except when Tiona decides to let Erenville show her around Shaaloani, something interesting happens.
Someone calls her by name.
That's fuckin' weird, Tiona thinks, remembering nothing. Erenville, ever helpful, asks some leading questions and we learn that Tiona and he are from the same general area!
-- oh it's the dome? Well, shit.
Cahciua says "you look like one of my cousins!" and Tiona laughs it off and isn't really thinking too much about what happened in Shaaloani, there's world-changing weird-shit going on--
Then the MSQ got in the way and we were partying hard in Tuliyollal, happy to end Yet Another World-Ending Threat.
Erenville does Tiona a solid and gives her the following information:
Yatzil Eryut - Tiona's father. (Imagine a viera who looks just like Danny DeVito.) He has the same blue hair she does. He's living in Solution 9. He is a cousin of Cahciua. (that means Tiona and Erenville are first cousins once removed, but she was born ages before he was, so this is just a fun factoid at this point.)
How Erenville feels about having Tiona, who makes Wuk Lamat look like an indecisive scaredy cat, as a blood relative, is yet to be determined.
Chel Eryut
Seti Eryut
Nima Eryut - Three of Tiona's six siblings. All women. Alive, but locations unknown.
Alsault Eryut followed his little-big sister Roroko Roko to college after partying around Tural with his dad and Uncle Thancred. He's about 19 or so now. Kind of a himbo but a very accomplished artist.

Backstory
You had moved to Adelaide at the age of 16 to train at this very wrestling school. Luckily you had family that lived in Austrailia and your parents always let you follow your dreams and be your own person. Your first day at the school you had been so nervous slightly second guessing your re-location. Your nerves were suddenly calmed by a hand on your arm. Your head whipped around to see who was behind you.
"Hey my name is Demi, this your first day?" She said with a welcoming smile and her accent thick, it took you a moment to gather your thoughts because the girl that you had just met just so happened to also be the most beautiful girl you've ever met.
"uh-yeah, it's nice to meet you my name is y/n" you said sitting your bag down on the floor against the wall. You stood back up and started putting your hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of your face.
She stared at you like you hung the stares and the moon. You noticed her out of the corner of your eye, not thinking much of it at the time but you took note and stored this moment in the back of your brain.
" good to meet you y/n, can't wait to kick your ass out there" she said smirking at you waiting for what you were going to say. " Your on but be prepared to have your day ruined cause you have no idea what I'm capable of" you said walking close to her, tilting your head up slightly to meet her gaze.
She enjoyed the playful banter, she chuckled walking past you to go meet the trainer. You followed behind her just a few moments later after putting the rest of your things in your bag.
Once you made your way to the group that was training with you the trainer started to speak "Alright ladies and gentleman welcome back to another wonderful day of wrestling, How is everyone feeling today?". The group collectively said 'good', "Great now we are gonna start a little different today since you may have noticed with have a new student joining us today" He said pointing at you quickly, you did a small wave to everyone.
"Okay y/n we are gonna go over some of our basic rules real quick" you nodded waiting for him to speak again. "Rule one, when you are in the training area everyone goes by their ring name so if you have chosen yours, great, if not then get to choosing kid you have a free pass tonight but next session I wanna hear you using your ring name" he said waiting for you to nod or something so he could continue. But, you already had one picked out so you spoke up, "I actually already have one, it's the one I've been using since I was at my last wrestling school" you said in an up-beat tone. "Ok, well, let's hear it" he said impressed that you had already had one and felt confident using it at another facility. "It's y/r/n" you said with confidence, "Alright, sounds good, I like it, it's very original, good job kid" he said with a nod of approval.
"Alright and rule number two, do not and I mean absolutely do not bring your personal life into your wrestling life. You wanna date someone in this group, I'm not one to stand in the way of love but that love needs to say at the door." You nodded agreeing, you never planned to combine the two but it was a great rule to have.
"So, now that all of that is out of the way let's get to kicking some ass!" he said in a more energetic tone. "Y/r/n I want you to start us out, wanna see what you can do and what we need to work on, Rhea I want you in there with her" he said motioning towards the ring and moving out of the way to allow you two to slide in the ring and your now standing just a few inches apart.
You start feeling those familiar nerves build up in your gut. You let out a deep breath shoving those feelings down because it's not like you can walk out of the ring and fly back home now. Rhea noticed the anxious look on your face she mouthed to you as to not draw attention to you "You got this". That's all it took for a strong wave of confidence to wash over you.
"Okay, ladies we are gonna start with some basics" he said instructing you with a strong accent. "Let's go ahead and do some grappling" you waited for his cue to move towards the buff girl ahead of you. You lock up, her hands on your shoulders and yours on her shoulders shoving each other back and forth. Suddenly you dropped to the ground and perfectly executing an arm drag with her landing on her back.
She stood up but for that she smacked the mat in frustration. She was not messing around now, she was in full Rhea mode. You grabbed her arm and swung under it as you twisted her muscular limb. Once you fully up again she turned towards you with a look of discomfort on her face from her arm being twisted in an unnatural direction. In a split second her fist was connecting with your cheek, sending you down to the mat in pain. She wasted no time pouncing on you, grabbing a fist full of your hair in her hands, dragging you back up to your feet. Once you were back up you couldn't think of anything else so you just bitch slapped her. She let go of your hair to put a hand on her face and then glaring back at you. You were totally fucked.
"Alright, alright guys that was good and y/r/n I'm impressed to fair I didn't see a lot but you held your own and that's what I'm looking for" you smiled to yourself not wanting to seem conceited in anyway. Rhea stood behind you leaning in to whisper. "That was good and might I say you have one hell of a slap" she said pulling back with a chuckle. "How about this, you two are gonna have a match right here right now" you looked at Rhea to try and read her to see if she was up to it. "I'm down if you are y/r/n?" she said looking at you waiting for your response. "Of course, how could I pass up kicking your ass. Ripley" you said with a mischievous look on your face and saying the last part with a hint of aggression.
The bell rang and you two were sizing each other up. You made the first move, running to her and kneeing her in the stomach. She stumbled back to collect herself but you didn't let up throwing uncoordinated punches and slaps at her back while she was hunched over. She finally caught one of your hits and you realized you did not think this through. She pulled your arm and slung you into the corner, once you hit the turnbuckle you looked up and she was hurdling towards you and she jumped up and dropped kicked you right in the chest. That blow sent you crumbling to the mat laying there clutching your chest and coughing. She pulled you up and threw your limp body over her broad shoulders carrying back to the same turnbuckle and sitting you on the very top. A surge of adrenaline rushed through you as you slowly sat back up as she was climbing to meet you at the top of the ropes. You used all you strength to push her off. She stumbled back in shock as to how you mustered up the strength to fight back. You waited till she was fully alert again and stood up tall on the top rope you jumped putting all your faith in your aim and in Rhea's ability to catch you. You landed on her shoulders and then slung your body down to send her flying, her doing a messy front flip from all the momentum traveling through her body.
The match went on for about another five minutes and you guys were laid out on the mat. You decided to take advantage of getting up before her. You decided to submit her because all of your pin attempts have failed miserably. You locked in a prism lock, she was writhing below you and you were using all your strength to hold her up eventually you couldn't anymore so you placed a knee on her upper back and twisted her like a pretzel. She finally smacked the mat, giving into your torture.
You dropped her body to the mat and looked down at her. You squatted down to her and leaned your head in to whisper "What was all that talk about you kicking my ass huh?" She groaned and glared up at you. "I'll get you next time" and she wasn't kidding, after that day you guess had a heated rivalry going.
Even though you guys had a serious rivalry going you never hated her and you two knew that the tension and fighting was only improving both of your wrestling abilities.
One day a couple years later you were 21 and Rhea had just turned 22. You two were still training at the same school but now you were training the younger students while also competing in the indie circuit. You had become the the IWJP champion in your time in Japan, and now making your way inside the facility to do some training and teaching later that day. You sat your things down and you were tying your hair up, once it was up you stood up from your crouched position and turned around unexpectedly she was also here. You didn't think she would be here since she had been in the U.S trying out for WWE NXT, you had felt a lot of jealousy towards her for that, it had always been your dream to make it to WWE but she managed to do it before you.
You walked past her with no intention on speaking to her since you knew how you felt and she did to. She saw you walk past and felt a little hurt you didn't at least wave or say a quick greeting. She hopped of the ring apron and made her way over to you. " Aw is someone still mad that I managed to get a try out and they wouldn't even think to reach out to you" she said with a mocking tone, now was not the time for her to be messing with you. Your head slowly turned towards her "You know what Rhea soon the WWE is gonna realize who really belongs there and it's not you. In the meantime I'll be in Japan as a matter of fact across the world gaining more titles while your still just training to hopefully even make it on TV. So, you have fun in states just hoping you make at least one TV appearance I'll be here putting in work and carrying a new title every time you come back" you said glaring up at her and speaking with an aggressive tone. She chuckled at what you said but you both knew she was gonna make it and you were just upset she wasn't gonna be here for much longer. It was true you were gonna miss her even when she destroyed you in the ring.
"You know what y/r/n, your delusional, you'll never see the inside of a WWE ring unless it's from the stands and you paid to be there. I'll be on the big screen and you'll still be here training other people, not even trying to make any of your dreams come true" you were stunned at her sudden aggression but to be honest you were used to squabbles like this with Rhea. You nodded and walked away flipping her off as you were making your way over to the lifting area. She chuckled and went back into the ring she was training in.
Suddenly Rhea's phone rang and you heard it from where you were since the building wasn't that big. She walked over to her back that was on the stairs beside the ring. She quickly grabbed her phone and answered it. You only heard a few yes's and some ok's coming from her but you also saw the nodding of her head but what was most noticeable was the growing excitement on her face as her eyes lit up she said a quick "ok thank you so much, I'll be there in the afternoon tomorrow" her accent thicker than ever caused by the amount of excitement. She hung up and quickly gathered her things, she was quickly making her way out of the building but before that she went up to same trainer she had been working with since she was young girl. You couldn't hear what was said but you saw them share a quick hug and the look on his face was one of a proud father.
You hadn't seen or heard from her in months. You called and texted but to no avail. Where did she go? Is she ok? Can she just please respond to me?
You tried texting her again but gave up hope. You were sat on your couch in your small apartment, you decided to turn on the TV and watch WWE NXT UK. The show started and you weren't paying much attention as you had started scrolling on Instagram. That was until you heard something that caught your attention immediately. The ring announcer was saying her name, you almost thought you were hearing things that was until she appeared on your screen. She looked so different, her hair was short and a light shade of brow, her outfit was dark and edgy. Your mouth hung open as you saw her, you watched the match in shock and a little bit of anger. It was nearing the end and Rhea was going for her finisher, little did you know she took some inspiration from you and locked in your signature prism lock. This bitch really stole my move, you thought. After she won and held her first title a fire was lit inside you and you worked harder than ever to catch her and prove that you deserve to be there too.
Present day
You had been apart of a new wrestling promotion in the US called AEW. It was WWE's biggest rivalry, you were so close but after a few years of working your way up to the top you were finally happy. You were sat on the plane checking your email while waiting to land in the next city, that's when you saw an email that stuck out. It was from your agent, the agent you were kind of forced to get since you were one of if not the biggest female wrestler in the world right now, you held so many titles across the world but mostly in Japan and AEW. You opened the email and it read:
Good morning y/n I hope this finds you well. I have just received a call from WWE management and they really want to talk to you about signing with them. I know how we have talked about making it to the big time and now it's here. The decision is all yours, please call me once you land and we can talk more.
Your hand covered your face in disbelief. Your friends noticed and they nudged you snapping you out of your thoughts. "Hey you ok?" Your close friend Ruby said. "Yeah, I just got an email from my agent s'all " you said glancing at her then back down to your email. "Oh, really, what'd it say?" she said inquisitively "Uh, nothing everything's good, I'm just dramatic" you tried to distract her from earlier by being sarcastic. You felt bad that you couldn't tell her but if you were gonna make the move it had to be done in secret to really keep it a surprise.
You got off the plane and immediately called your agent. You spoke with her for a few minutes and luckily you there wasn't a show tonight because now you were jumping in your rental car and drove for about 2 hours to a city close by to meet with WWE management. You haven't decided if you were gonna leave AEW yet but you wanted to hear what they had to offer. You made it to the arena WWE was performing in that night and went in the back to avoid being spotted by fans or talent.
"Hi, y/n it's great to finally meet you" Stephanie said sticking her hand out for a handshake. "It's great to meet you too, Stephanie, I'm excited to hear what you guys are planning" you shook her hand firmly. You walked behind the powerful woman. You finally made it to her office for the night, "please have a seat, make yourself comfortable, who knows maybe this'll become your new home" she said motioning to the couch as she sat across from you in a comfortable looking arm chair. You chuckled at the last part of what she said, "ok y/n we have a few idea's" she said making her self comfortable and crossing her legs making eye contact with you.
"Alright let's hear 'em" you said looking at her. "So as you might know we have Wrestlemania coming up in a month and I'd love for you to be apart of it. We already have a match going on for the Women's World Title" you nodded and she continued "We want you to start your WWE journey by interfering in the finish of the match. Our title holder is Rhea Ripley." the name sent shivers down your spine. You didn't know she was the title holder since you had stopped watching WWE when you joined the rival company. It had been years since you saw her or heard anything more than a brief mention of her reign of dominance on the women's division.
"I understand you two have a long history" you nodded hiding the look of nervousness on your face. She continued to explain her plan and you liked it a lot. The feelings you had for Rhea had reappeared as she continued to talk. "You know what Stephanie" you pause briefly, "I'm in, let's do this" you said with a wave of confidence washing over you. She looked at you with pure excitement in her eyes. "Alright well I'm glad to hear that, I'm even more excited to have you joining our family your gonna fit in just perfect here" she said as she initiated a quick hug. You hugged her back, you were walking out of the arena and back to your car as you saw something. It was quick but it caught all your attention, you saw a broad figure, backside facing you. She was walking in, she didn't see you thank god. But you surely saw her. She was more muscular than you remember, her hair was black like a raven and her skin was covered in beautiful works of art. The tattoo's she had always talked about wanting to get.
You made the journey back to your designated city for the night and you laid in your bed. You emailed your agent and let her know what happened with Stephanie. Your agent called you and then discussed the next steps. She contacted AEW management and set up a meeting with them. The meeting was happening the next night before the show.
You did your nightly routine and climbed into bed. Your thoughts were all over the place but finally you drifted off to sleep. Once you woke up you hopped in the shower. You got out and got dressed and ready to head to the arena. On your way there you were nervous to tell your management about your decision to leave. You made it to the arena and walked inside, waving at the fans that were camped out at the fence and walked up to few kids that wanted pictures. You always loved talking to the fans because you were human too. You got to the locker room and put your stuff up. You found your agent waiting outside and you two walked to Tony's office and knocked on the door, he answered "come on in" he said moving to the side as he held the door open for you and your agent. After about an hour of discussion, you and the team had devised a plan for your last night. You were gonna drop your title, the AEW TBS Championship, to your long time friend, Julia Hart. You had no problem doing this since you viewed her as a little sister, she deserved the title and you were over the moon that you'd be able to give it to her.
You asked if you could be the one to tell her since you also had to tell her that you would be leaving. You waited for her to get to the arena, "Hi gorgeous" she said in a giddy tone as she hugged you. "Oh, hi, how was your drive" you said happily returning her embrace. "Ugh, I hate being stuck in the car with those guys, y'know, it's like a testosterone overload 24/7" you laughed at her "I'm sorry you had to be stuck in there, buuuuuutttt I have some good and bad news for you" you said to her as she finished putting her things up. She gasped "Someone finally told MJF to shut the hell up!!" you laughed once more as did she "no, no, no, but someone should really do that" you said with a brief pause. "you, my friend" you said pointing at her and taking a step forward "you are going over tonight" you said waiting for her to say something. "OH MY GOD WHAT!" she said jumping up and down with excitement and jumping into your arms. "wait" she letting go of you, "who's putting over" she said confused and you pointed to your self. "WHAT! oh my god, we get to finally have a match together!" she said with more excitement.
You guys had been clamoring for a match together but it always got shut down. Tears threatened to spill as you saw how excited she was. "I can't wait for them to announce you as champion tonight Jules" you said going for another hug. "What? Your dropping your title? To me? NO! You are the greatest champion this promotion has ever seen you cant just drop it to me!" she said with a little anger and a hint of sadness as she got a feeling of what the bad news might be. "Julia you deserve it, you've worked your ass of to get here and it's time for the world to show you some respect" you said convincingly, she nodded as you continued. "Ok now the bad news" you paused glancing to her, "Tonight is my last match" you both became teary eyed, she knew that was coming as soon as you said she was gonna be champion.
"I-i-i can't believe it. Your really leaving?" She questioned you hoping that she heard you wrong. "Yes, and I'm leaving knowing that my best friend is gonna be champion and is gonna continue kicking ass" you said trying to cheer her up. It was part of the business, friends leave and move on to other things, you both knew this very well and understood. "Thank you y/n, Thank you for trusting me enough for you to drop your title to me" she said. You nodded not being able to speak since you were torn up about leaving her.
You made your final entrance with your title, putting on your mean face as you made your way down the ramp. Julia's music hit and she made her was down the ramp and to the ring. The match lasted for 10 minutes, that was 10 minutes of you trying to soak up every last bit of the crowds energy. She finally got the 3 count and rose up off the mat, grabbing the title and holding it high. The show went to a commercial break as the lights dimmed slightly you two embraced each other tightly, not knowing when you'll see each other again. The crowd noticed at the last second and let out a simultaneous "Awe" you held her and pulled away and grabbed her face and whispered to her. "I believe in you, you can do this, keep being you, do what you do best a whoop ass, ok?" you said to her as she nodded soaking up your words of encouragement. "I love you, Jules, if you ever need me, you know where to reach me" you said "Ok, I will and if you need me just call me, good luck, I love you y/n" you kissed the top of her head and pulled away and walked away, out of the ring, leaving her in there alone with her music playing loudly as she held up her title with confidence. She glanced at you making your way back stage, you felt her glance and turned around and waved her goodbye and blew her kiss with a smile at your face feeling proud of her.
You got to your locker room and got ready to leave. You said goodbye to all your friends and acquaintances, you walked out teary eyed. You got back to your hotel and laid on the bed lost in your thoughts as your phone started going off. You grabbed it and unlocked it, your comment section was going crazy with a mix of the fans emotions some sad, some happy, some started speculating what might be going on. None of them guess right though. You plugged your phone up for the night and drifted of to sleep.
You woke up to Stephanie calling you and asking you to meet her in Florida at the PC. You jumped on the first flight out and while you were on your flight you scrolled through Instagram. Swiping through stories and the biggest news on your feed was you and Julia's match last night. You went to her account and saw she posted a heart-felt message that made you tear up a bit. The message ended the way you thought it would, at the bottom it read:
"...But in the end, The house always wins."

Undercover IV (Soap x GN!Reader)
undercover series masterlist — previous | next
Summary: You have a rocky introduction with John Price and you continue your interview, despite a certain someone’s hesitant protests. You finally have your dreaded psych evaluation while your stress reaches it’s peak.
A/N: considering this is a reboot timeline + Makarov is only vaguely mentioned in mw2, i’m taking inspo from og mw and adding my own spices. and holy shit why was this so difficult to complete??? i also apologize for this taking so long, i live where the smoke from the canadian fires dragged across and my chest hurts. update: russian was corrected!
[WARNINGS: flashbacks, Price is a bit of an ass but trust me, vague descriptions of torture and murder, angst.]
“I learned from him that often contradiction is the clearest way to truth.” -Patti Smith.
“We need to get your head on straight.”
That’s what Price said, and I don’t know what about how he said it made me mad, but oh boy, did it fucking piss me off. “What?”
“We need to get your head on straight,” He repeats, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He’s wearing his tactical vest, dawning a U.K. badge. I eye his gear before making eye contact with him again and he continues. “We can’t afford to sit around, we need that intel. We have reasonable suspicion Makarov will move on with his plans quicker than we anticipated.” My nose scrunches up a little bit as he’s basically avoiding saying it without saying that he’s avoiding it. “You want me to continue with the interview.” I say it like a statement and not a question because all three of us know it’s not a question.
“Price, that isn’t a good idea,” Soap says, his voice considerably alarmed. He grinds his teeth together because he knows my reaction to just fucking closing my eyes while talking about it was extremely concerning. “I know it isn’t, but we don’t have a choice,” Price mutters before pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing. He looks at me with a pointed look, eyes flickering over my body in confliction.
I mimic his look because as much as I would love time to calm down, I know what he’s saying is true. If they truly have reasonable suspicion that Makarov is going to advance in his plans early, they need what I learned.
Fuck, man..
“Okay.” I move the pillow around on my lap. “Let’s do it?”
Soap’s head snaps towards me, eyebrows furrowed. “What? You’re agreein’ to it??” I look back at him with a frustrated look and I can feel myself wanting to explode. “What choice do I have? Not say anything and risk peoples lives, or have a little freak out and no one dies—except maybe for him?”
The room goes silent except for the beeping of the machines and Soap sighs, taking the recorder out of his front pocket. Price remains on his side of the bed but this time finds a chair, pulls it around and sits down. His hands stay on the armrests. I glance at Soap who presses a button and holds it a bit away from himself. “This is Sergeant John MacTavish, Callsign Soap, this is day two interviewing Sergeant [Name] [Last Name] of the Eclipse Task Force.” Soap hesitates to say the next part, his eyes tracing him face as he mutters. “Last subject was Makarov’s ‘entry tests’ and ‘loyalty tests’.”
I feel my stomach collapse in on itself, tightening into a painful knot. I know this was coming eventually, even if I didn’t want it to. “Yeah, uh..” I trail off, averting my eyes to stare at something, anything but the two men looking to me for answers. “After two months of living in Russia, I got into contact with Makarov. It was completely by accident too, I was just trying to collect information about him, seem like I was interested and then I was.. picked up.“ I pause for a moment before continuing. “I had to build up a reputation, something that made it look like I didn’t pop up in this city out of the blue, y’know?”
“Мы не используем здесь его имя.” We do not use his name here. “Секретность должна быть сохранена, не так ли?” Secrecy must be kept, right?
There’s a hood over my head and my heart is pounding inside of my chest—I could die, right here and right now and nobody would know. I could fail this entire mission right at this moment and that’s fucking terrifying. I twist my wrists ever so slightly, not in an attempt to get away, but I can’t help but check out tight the rope is. I’m surprised they didn’t use handcuffs. I blink rapidly as my eyes burn a bit, trying to properly adjust to the bright light above me.
I look around and I’m in a warehouse with two men—neither of them being the man I want, but one of them is Sergei Orlov, one of the men I had been tracking since I’ve gotten here.
The intel suggests he has close connects to Makarov, indicating that he may be in a right-hand man type of situation. That’s the position I’m trying to bury my way into. Sergei’s eyes are sharp and intimidating, the color being a deep, cerulean blue with dashes of green near his pupils.
There is absolutely no light in them, no positive emotion—I didn’t expect to see any, but it makes me wonder if Makarov’s eyes are the same? Will I be able to get close enough to see?
“Мы наблюдаем за тобой уже несколько недель. Ты пытаешься предать свою страну и начать войну. Почему?” We have been watching you for several weeks now. You are trying to betray your country and start a war. Why?
My fingers twitch as I offer a scoff, a snarl curling at my lips, like I’m snapping at another dog. Of course, I show no disrespect. I need this to be perfect. “Вы не представляете, что этот мир сделал со мной, люди, которые в нем живут, сделали со мной.” You have no idea what this world has done to me, the people who live in it have done to me.
Sergei has his hands behind his back as he slowly walks around me, circling me. I keep my eyes on him as much as possible, I’m radiating distrust—trying to keep up the character I’m playing.
“Это правда, я не знаю. Но я точно знаю, что такие, как ты, просто так не появляются.” It's true, I don't know. But I know for sure that people like you don't just appear. I feel my heart drop into my stomach because fuck, man—I thought everything was good?? My backstory, my profile, I didn’t think I had any holes—
“К счастью для тебя, у нас есть сложная викторина для людей, которые, казалось бы, появились из ниоткуда. Чтобы предотвратить явку шпионов, м?” Lucky for you, we have a challenging quiz for people who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. To prevent spies, yes?
I immediately nod in response, brows furrowed, eyes filled with determination. Sergei’s lips curl into a dreadful smile—one that screams “get away from me or else”.
“Хороший.” Good. He unties my bindings, allowing me to rub my wrists. I don’t have a good feeling at all. Sergei grabs my upper arm and has me stand up, and him and the other man lead me out of the warehouse, going to a truck. “Куда мы идем?” Where are we going?
He doesn’t bother to answer me besides motioning me to sit in the back of the car. I hesitate for a moment out of weariness, but I comply. I open the door to the truck and climb into the back and Sergei slides into the back with me. The other man climbs into the driver’s seat. “привод.” Drive.
I can feel myself begin to space out with every word and I can vaguely feel my fingers tightening into a fist. I pause my retelling of events as my train of thought breaks apart, the crawling feeling on my back intensifying. “Hey,” Price’s voice is low. “You with us?” It takes everything inside of my goddamn soul to nod, but God, I wish I wasn’t. I know we’re getting close to the part of my.. atrocities.
My heart jumps inside of my chest and my monitor beeps loudly for a moment. Don’t close your eyes. Don’t close your eyes. Don’t close your eyes. Don’t close your eyes—“Hey!”
My eyes snap to Price who has a furrowed brow, annoyance lacing his features. I notice my chest is moving up and down with every harsh breath coming out through my nose. “Focus.” I grit my teeth, my fingernails digging into the palm of my hand. “I’m trying.” I retaliate with a tight voice. I understand they need this information, but they have to understand how hard it is to recount literally every single life taken, innocent ones??
“Clearly you aren’t,” Price scoffs, his lip curling in anger. “You’ve barely started the bloody report, what’s the issue?”
I laugh humorlessly, my eyes going wide. “What—Did you actually just fucking say that?” Soap stands up, putting his hand out towards his captain. “Price, I—“
“Stay out of this, Soap. That’s an order.”
I can feel my bones ache under my harsh clenching of my hand, an angry smile coming to my lips. I feel this weird smoldering feeling in my gut that’s spreading heat across my body and into my limbs. I hear my heart monitor picking up speed. “You have absolutely no fucking idea what I’ve been through—what I’ve had to do!” I’m aware I’m raising my voice, but I honestly cannot bother to give a fuck by now.
Price crosses his arms, glaring down at me. His eyes are scrutinizing and it makes me want to punch the fuckin’ daylights out of him. “You’re right,” He begins. “I have not the foggiest idea because you’ve not said anything of actual value thus far!”
Oh, he wants me to fucking punch him. This man is so fucking asking for me to knock his teeth out. I open my mouth to speak but Price swiftly interrupts me. “What did you have to do, [Name]? Kill a few innocent people? Children, maybe? Did you have to torture them?”
I can feel that hot feeling turn to ice cold in a split second, a ripple of sweat dripping down my temple. “..What?”
Price waves his hand around as a general statement. “So what, you had to gut a few children? That’s nothing. Oh, did you have to keep them alive? Did they force ya to hear their screams, [Name]? Or did you have’to—“
It’s like I don’t have control of myself when I reach forward and snatch the front of Price’s shirt and pulling him near myself, my voice loud and booming, nearly cracking. “YES, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR? DID YOU WANT TO HEAR THE SICK DETAILS OF WHAT I DID?” I take a deep breath, continuing. This fucking rage is flowing through my bones and I just cannot shut myself up—“DID YOU WANT TO HEAR ABOUT HOW I BROKE BONES, INFLICTED WOUNDS AND LEFT PEOPLE TO ROT?”
The room goes silent, aside from my harsh breathing and the beeping from my heart monitor. I lower my voice, but i don’t stop the absolute anger dripping from every word as I speak through clenched teeth. “Every dirty fuckin’ detail is a weight on my goddamn conscience and you don’t seem to understand that, Price.”
The room is eerily silent again and I fucking hate it. I look down at the pillow on my torso as I feel their beady little eyes peering into my soul, judging my every sin. I hear Soap turn the recorder off and I feel hot from embarrassment for a moment because I just realized.. he was recording all of that. Of fucking course.
Before anyone else can say anything, the door to my room opens. I pick my head up and see a woman in business casual clothing with a notebook, pen, and a clipboard. “Hi, my name is Doctor Elaine Stewart, I’ll be conducting this comprehensive psychological and psychiatric evaluation on you today.” Her voice is soft and light like how her hair looks—dark curls that seem to bounce right above her shoulders, her skin is a darker tan too. Her eyes are big, round, and soft. She’s British—I can’t place what region she grew up in, though.
They probably picked her because she would feel less like a threat towards me.
Dr. Stewart turns to the two men, glancing between them. “I’m going to have to ask you two to leave for patient doctor confidentiality purposes.”
Price goes to speak up, but she puts her hand up to stop him. “I’ll call if I need anything, but I’m sure we’ll be just fine.”
I hear Price sigh, but I refuse to look at him. Instead, I look to Soap, who’s peering down at me with concerned eyes. I still don’t get why he’s so concerned.. Or why he’s so quiet, because he really doesn’t seem to be a quiet person. Soap takes his notebook sketchbook thing, murmuring a “see you later” and takes his leave next to his Captain.
Once the door closes, Dr. Stewart smiles at me and walks over to my bed, heels clicking, and then takes a seat. “You know how this goes, yeah? You’ve been in the military for quite some time now.” I nod in response, taking a deep breath. My back is beginning to ache from not getting up or moving.
“Yeah, I know.” I say anyway. I put my hands on the bed and go to use my strength to sit myself up, but immediate tight and bursting pain bubbles where my stitches are. One of my hands fly to my stomach—which is covered by the pillow, followed by a loud curse. Dr. Stewart quickly sits up, alarmed. “Are you alright??”
I nod as I hiss in pain, clenching my jaw in an attempt to distract myself from the pain. “Didn’t realize it would’ve hurt so bad..”
Dr. Stewart nods, leaning over and click a button a few times which raises the back of the bed to a proper sitting up position. I feel my face heat up from embarrassment again. Fuck.
Dr. Stewart holds her clipboard and looks at me. “Have you experienced moments where you felt like you were not in your body?”
I take a moment to think about that. “Yes, but only when I was actively tortured or, er.. uh… did the torturing.” I look away from her and back at my lap, a weird feeling bubbling in my stomach. She takes a moment to write down my answer. “Have you ever felt out of control of yourself?”
I shake my head no—and then I pause. Have I? I shake my head no a second time after thinking.
“Within the last 6 months, have you heard disembodied voices or noises no one else around you could hear?”
“No.”
“Have you ever found yourself back in an event that already happened? Maybe you’re just sitting down and for a moment, you’re back in that warehouse?”
I look at her with a furrowed brow, and I immediately want to deny it, but I can’t. “I mean..” I trail off for a moment. “I don’t.. I don’t hallucinate that I’m back with Makarov’s group, if that’s what you mean.”
Dr. Stewart leans forward a bit, her perfectly painted nails tapping against the clipboard. “Then what do you mean, [Name]?” I swallow the spit in my mouth before speaking, yet it feels like my mouth has gone dry. “I don’t know, all I’m saying is that I don’t experience that.”
She looks at me—why is she staring??—and then she writes something down. “What have you done to them, [Name]?”
My heart skips a beat. “What?”
“I said, what have you experienced? I’m talking about anxiety, maybe dread, everything you’ve felt within the last day.”
Did I.. did I mishear her? She definitely said ‘what did you to them’, right?
“[Name]?”
I blink rapidly and look at her. “Sorry. What?”
Dr. Stewart bites her lower lip for a moment, watching me with worried eyes. “I think it’s best to conclude this evaluation for now. It looks like you’re having a hard time adjusting, so I will check back in with you in a few days.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” My voice is teetering on the edge of anger and I know I shouldn’t be mean, but I feel like my skeleton is trying to shed my skin from how jumpy I feel. “That means I don’t think you’re coherent enough for your interview, nor your evaluation; the one that’ll tell your superiors that you can return, anyway.” She picks her pen up and she begins to write something down—seemingly a longer paragraph. “So.. that means you have a temporary conclusion? Of my psyche?” I ask slowly, and I know that isn’t the right wording, but I’m not sure how else to do it.
Dr. Stewart stands up and begins to collect her things. She sighs and looks at me with.. sympathy?? Pity? I can’t tell. “You just went through something extremely traumatic, [Name]. You’re still in fight or flight. I can’t conduct a proper assessment like this.”
I hold my tongue from barking at her that I’m fine, from telling her to get the fuck out or me making some obscene threat.
I feel my heart sink in my chest because I feel like she’s vaguely suggesting something I cannot handle right now.

Japan has always been so beautiful during spring. It’s February, and the flowers are in bloom. Young love has also begun to blossom around the school. It is Valentine’s Day, and there is a great deal of chocolates, bouquets, letters, and love confessions. Everyone seemed to have someone to spend the day with except you.
Nobara usually spends the day with you, but plans changed this year. “Maki and I have a cute date. This is gonna be our first Valentine together!” She swooned, and you groaned, dropping your head onto the desk.
Megumi plopped himself down next to you. “What’s wrong with them?”
“They don’t want to spend today alone.” Nobara rolled her eyes at your antics. “Oh!” She aggressively patted Megumi’s shoulders as an idea appeared, earning a glare. “Why don’t you keep them company, Megs?”
“I wish to spend today alone. Gojo is making me go see a new movie that came out. Said he needed ‘emotional support’. Geto needs to stop playing and get him off my back.” It was Megumi’s turn to groan now.
Yuji entered the classroom to see his two sulking friends with their heads hung low and a disappointed Nobara. It was similar to when he would get scolded by Nanami. He shivered at the memory.
“Uh, what is happening?” He cautiously stepped closer to his friends. Nobara poked at the moping duo to get up, but no one budged. “They’re being whiny.”
“Spending the day alone is fine, but I’ve always wanted someone to spend it with. Receiving flowers, a cute note, and overall just being wanted by someone.” Your words were completely muffled but understood nonetheless, receiving a comforting pat on the head from Nobara. “You will.”
You finally looked at her, “Oh, yeah? who?”
“Me.”
“HUH?!” They all simultaneously broke their necks to look at the pinkette. Even Megumi snapped out of his grief to gape at him. Nobara was flabbergasted, to say the least. Megumi? speechless. But, when wasn’t he? Yuji ignored the astonished stares of the room and focused on your gaze instead. “I was thinking since we’re both free, I was wondering if…” Yuji nervously stuffed his hands in his pockets before continuing, “You’d spend the day with me?”
As they looked at each other, time seemed to slow down, and Nobara's retorts were completely ignored. You started to think about what today meant and how nice it would be to be part of it with a person like Yuji. He has always been kind to you, flashing the sweetest smile your way when he sees you. His presence was welcoming, and you couldn’t help but feel at home. Plus, you were friends, so why wouldn’t you agree?
“Pick me up at my dorm?” A grin spread across his face, eyes twinkling. “I’ll see you at 5 o’clock then.”
After Yuji left, Nobara and Megumi’s eyes were boring into you. You furrowed your brows at them, shifting uncomfortably in your seat. “What?”
“Dude…Yuji just asked you out on a date!” She exclaimed, shaking your shoulders in excitement.
“Quit it, Bara! He did not! We’re just hanging out as friends.” She stared at you blankly as if saying, ‘You’re fucking joking, right?’
You looked to Megumi for support, but he just shook his head judgementally as if he was telepathically calling you an idiot. He was.
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
“Oh my god, how many times do I have to tell you that it’s not a date?”
“Until you stop being stupid.”
It was 4:57, and you were currently being pestered by Nobara on the phone while getting ready for your date hang out with Yuji. Nobara was propped up on your vanity while you were doing your makeup, “We’re just two friends hanging out on Valentine’s Day. If he wanted to ask me out on a date, he would’ve worded it differently.”
The girl on the other line stayed silent, considering it and understanding your point. But, she knew Yuji. You may not have noticed, but she had seen how differently he treated you compared to them.
He was normally very friendly and playful towards them but it was different with you. He often joked, but she noticed how he would always look at you first. When you’re sick, he’s the first one at your door with medicine and soup. Even during the times when you cling to him after he gets injured during one of his missions, his top priority is to comfort you and wipe the tears of worry off your face.
Nobara had been friends with him long enough to know that he hid his emotions very well. He was never the open type, but Nobara could always tell how he felt.
And from the look in his eyes earlier when you agreed, Yuji really thought he finally had you. Her heart ached for him, but she knew he had to tell you himself.
“Listen, Y/n, Yuji may seem to have it together, but he has never been good with his words and makes up for it with his actions. So, keep that in mind, okay?”
There had been a knock on your door at the moment. You said your goodbyes to Nobara before hanging up. You checked yourself out in the mirror to make sure everything was in place. After fixing your hair and spritzing some perfume, you open to door and are greeted by a beaming Yuji holding a bouquet of…pink paper tulips?
“I made these for you.” He held them out to you, and you could feel your heart pounding at the sweet gesture. You reached out to take them, your hands accidentally brushing, causing the two of you to flinch away from the contact. Two hearts pounding in unison.
Yuji laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck, eyes looking everywhere but at you. When he did finally look at you, a blush crept up his face as he silently marveled at your outfit.
“You look really pretty, Y/n.” Your brain short-circuited at that moment.
It’s not a date. It’s not a date. It’s not a date.
“Thank…thank you, you look pretty too.” Wait, can you say that? No clue.
Yuji laughed genuinely at your compliment and extended his arm to you. “Ready?”
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
Yuji mentioned that the place he wanted to take you was pretty far, so you had to take a train, which you obliged to. Knowing him, you expected him to make this a fun experience for you because that was just the kind of person he was. What you hadn’t expected was a packed train.
The train is usually filled with children, parents, businessmen, elders, etc. So, it was no surprise that it was particularly crammed today. You and Yuji maneuvered through the crowd, attempting to find a secluded area or an available seat. Thankfully, you did.
Unfortunately, there was only one spot was left.
The two of you bickered back and forth about who would take the seat. Yuji insisted you take it, but you stubbornly argued he should instead.
“You can take it. I can stand.”
“No, I’ll stand, and you sit.”
In the end, Yuji wound up taking the seat, but with you in his lap.
His hands were snug where they were wrapped around your waist, his head resting comfortably on your shoulder. You felt how fast his heart was thumping against your back despite his calm demeanor. You leaned against him because you couldn’t deny how nice it felt to be held by him. He was so warm and smelled so good, and you honestly couldn't think about anything else but the boy that clung to you.
This isn’t a date. This isn’t a date, This isn’t a date. He’s just being nice—
“Are you okay with this?”
Yes.
Definitely.
Absolutely.
You placed your hands over him as a way to reassure him that you were okay and trusted him. He silently nodded his head and relished in the moment of being able to be this close to you. You consumed him; your body radiated a type of warmth that not even the sun could provide him. Everything about you was just lovely. The sweet scent of your perfume and the honeyed fragrance of the shampoo in your hair was heavenly to him. Whether this time with you had a positive outcome or not, he was just happy to be with you. Having you in his arms like this was one of the best things to happen today.
“Yuji?” He acknowledged you with a hum, the vibrations thrumming against your back like the train rumbling around them. “Where exactly are we going?”
He adjusted his grip on you and thought for a moment, trying to decide whether he should tell you or not, and you could mentally picture the mischievous grin on his face as he said, “You’ll see when we get there.”
You peeked over to glare at him, “You’re really not gonna tell me?”
“’Course not.”
I’m gonna beat the shit out of him.
: 𓏲🌷 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖✩࿐࿔ 🎀𖦹ִ ࣪
Yuji currently had his hands over your eyes, leading you to god knows where. No matter how often you poked and probed at him, he refused to relent.
“Just tell me, please?! One hint?”
“No.”
You groaned and blindly followed his lead, literally. The tepid spring breeze caressed your skin softly, and you listened to the swaying of the trees as you felt something prickle at your bare legs. The more you walked, the more you started to realize you were stepping on grass.
The wind blew harder, and you felt a wisp of a feather-like touch against your cheek. The suspense and secrecy were killing you. “Yuji, where are we—”
“Okay, we’re here.”
He removed his hands from your face, and your words immediately died in your throat. You were standing in a field of cherry blossom trees. You have never seen such a sight like this before. The meadow was covered in scarlet and ivory corolla, and you drank it all.
In the center of it all, there lay a single pink blanket and a picnic basket. There was a wide spread of all your favorite foods and desserts. Your mouth watered at the sight of the decorative cupcakes, cookies, drinks, fruits, and sandwiches.
“You did all this?!” You gawked, eyes flickering between the display and your friend.
“Well…I made the food and organized the setup...in way.”
You and Yuji plopped down on the duvet. You picked up a cupcake with a sloppily frosted heart on top and took a bite.
You suspiciously eyed Yuji. “Did you make these?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Because your pipe work is shit.” You laughed while Yuji threw you a look. You remember a time when he attempted to make your birthday cake for a surprise party the group had planned. To say the least, it was a mess because the letters looked like a child scribbled on them. You recall the look on Nobara’s and Megumi’s faces and smiled at the memory. Even though he’s not great in the kitchen, you can tell that everything he made today was prepared with a certain fondness.
You and Yuji spent the rest of your time eating and talking. The atmosphere was pleasant. Aside from all the flowers that surrounded you, you could feel something blooming in your chest the more time you spent with him.
From an outsider's point of view, you resembled a couple. How close you two were sitting, the longing looks, the light graze of fingers, and even the way you were finding excuses to feed each other.
You bit into a chocolate-covered strawberry and savored the deliciously sweet flavor. “Here.” You plucked another one off the plate and held it before Yuji’s lips. “Try this.”
He wasn’t a huge fan of chocolate, but who was he to turn away from being fed a strawberry by his crush? A fool, that’s what. He leaned forward and took a small bite, chewing slowly and trying not to gag from the taste.
You looked at him expectantly, eyes sparkling under the sunlight. “Do you like it?”
He gave you a quivered smile, causing you to burst out in a fit of laughter and hand him a napkin. “You can spit it out.” Yuji stubbornly shook his head and swallowed. Whether he liked it or not, he would eat whatever you gave him.
“Yuji…you didn’t have to eat it.” You wiped off a chunk of chocolate on the corner of his mouth.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, trying to suppress the blush forming on his face. He failed.
He looked at you with an unreadable expression. An expression you’ve never seen on his face before. It was almost…serious. “I had to. I’ve never made a habit of denying you, Y/n.”
Your brows furrowed at that. You were never good at reading people. Especially people like Yuji. You weren’t sure if there was a hidden meaning behind his statement. Yes, he always tried to indulge in your interests and let you ramble about your latest fixation. But what did he mean by “deny you”?
You were about to ask when you felt a sudden drip on your head. Grey clouds suddenly loomed over you, casting a shadow over you and Yuji. Tiny droplets turned into a downpour, completely drenching you and your perfect picnic.
The two of you ran to take cover under one of the cherry blossom trees. It didn’t help much, but it lessened the impact of the rain. You watched from a distance as your food got completely destroyed. You could feel how the mood had shifted. The look on Yuji’s face confirmed that.
“I am so sorry.” His apology left you at a loss for words.
“What are you sorry for?” You softly asked.
He didn’t look at you as he said, “I didn’t check the weather. I would’ve brought an umbrella if I did. I completely ruined this date. I wanted to make this a memorable day for you.”
His words struck. You quickly turned to him at his dejection and wanted nothing more than to provide comfort. But there were so many things scrambling through your mind at the moment that you had no idea what to focus on. The fact that Yuji had confirmed this was a date. The fact that he felt he had ruined everything when it was the complete opposite. Or the fact that he had thought about this so carefully because he wanted to make you happy. You couldn’t believe he thought of himself as a failure when you felt so lucky to have him.
“Yuji I…”
“I spent an hour making all that food. I had to remake those cupcakes four times because I kept burning them, and now they’re soaked. I was never much a baker, but I did it for you.”
“Yuji…” You tried again.
Except, he didn’t hear you. He watched as the bouquet he gave you earlier wilt under the rainfall. His fists and jaw clenched, he said, “You know, that bouquet took hours to make. I practically burned my fingers multiple times because of the glue gun I used, but I knew it was worth it because I wanted to give you something that wasn’t temporary. Flowers die so fast, and I knew how much you loved them, so I made sure they would last forever and the rain ruined it—”
“Yuji!” Your hands cupped his face, forcing him to look at you. “I loved everything you did today. I loved the flowers, I loved the picnic, and god, I loved being with you. I wouldn't have had it any other way.” It was hard to maintain eye contact due to the droplets constantly getting your line of vision, but Yuji could see the sincereness in your gaze.
But you had more to say. You had to make sure he truly understood. “I don’t care that it didn’t go exactly as planned. I loved it regardless, and I…” You stopped, scanning his features. The look of shock in his light brown eyes, his mouth slightly parted as he waited for you to finish.
“I realized today how much I love you. I really love you, Yuji.” Not wasting a second, you closed the space between you and pressed your lips against his. He was quick to return your affections, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you closer. Bodies flushed together as your mouths moved in a smooth rhythm. He kissed you desperately as if he had been wanting to do it for a long time. He kissed like you provided him oxygen, so passionate and so devoting.
He pulled away to catch his breath, face crimson and disheveled. “I really love you too, Y/n.” He was about lean in for round two until…
“Finally!” A voice screamed suddenly.
There was a smack and yelp. “Will you shut up?” A hushed voice snarled. The two of you could hear the two strangers murmuring back and forth, bickering.
It had sounded all too familiar.
“Gojo sensei, is that you?” Yuji called out. The white-haired male peeked out from behind the tree, waving at the pair. “Sorry, didn’t mean to interrupt!”
You exchanged a look with Yuji at the sight of your teacher crashing your date. “Who else is with you?”
Gojo reached next to him and pulled a drenched and scowling Megumi to his side. If looks could kill, Gojo would be dead again. Your eyes flickered between the two and back at Yuji. “What are you guys doing here?”
Megumi sighed. “Yuji asked us if we could help him by setting up this picnic while he went to pick you up so everything could already be ready by the time you got here. But, you guys arrived before we could leave so we hid behind the tree.”
“So, you lied about the movie?”
He shrugged. “Pretty much.”
You swatted Yuji’s chest at that. “You told me you set this up yourself!” Yuji giggled, taking hold of your hand against his chest, and apologetically kissed your forehead. “Sorry, I should’ve been more clear.”
Ultimately, Gojo took everyone back to the school, throwing away all the soggy food and packing the dampened blanket and basket in his trunk. Gojo and Megumi sat in the front while you and Yuji cuddled in the backseat. The only sound you could hear was the pitter-patter of the rain, the gentle blow of the car heater, and the sooth thumping of Yuji’s heartbeat as you laid against his chest. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy and you felt your eyes growing heavy, unable to stay awake.
“Happy Valentine’s day, Y/n.” Yuji mumbled tenderly against your hair before you fell into a peaceful sleep.

Desmond time travels to Ezio times, just grabs a Ezio fit and goes into the brotherhood just gathering supplies grabbing food acting like Ezio for a week. Everyone is like "Wow been seeing Mentoré a lot lately, glad he is coming by more. Yea he's been chatting with us a lot too" till Ezio actually decides to visit back.
---
"So Mentoré, I should not go by the intels location? It is said to be trustable "
"No, your idea is great and intel is right but I rather you go to-"
Strong set of footsteps fallowed by many other echo outside the door, without a knock the door opens, almost off its hinges and Desmond knows...
"WHO ARE YOU!"
He is found.
Taking his face in his hands he sighs, he knew his jig would be up soon, especially in a compaund full of ASSASSINS still he didnt expect Ezio to be back so soon, he even had given himself extra time when he planned his little run. So much for one last time.
Desmond waved his hand to the shocked Disciple he was just talking to signaling her to go join the others standing next to Ezio, ready to barge in at a word from their actual Mentor.
"I will not ask again... WHO ARE YOU! The nerve to come to my hideout! AND imporsanate m!- me?"
Whatever Ezio wanted to say died in his stutter as Desmond lowered his hood presenting Ezio a reflection of himself, slightly altered with a different haircut but a reflection non the less.
"Hello, Ezio Auditore"
Hands slightly raised Desmond continues in a calm tone,
"I, uh.. you dont know me but I, well..shit"
And just like that, all the preperation he had done days before went dont the drain. He even had a whole script for this.
"How..."
"I am not here to bring you or anyone harm"
Wiping his palm on his top, Desmond takes a step which makes all the other Assassins except Ezio take one back. He, takes a step in.
Then there is a firm hand holding Desmonds cheek turning it side to side.
"Madre... Its like looking at a Leo's portraits"
His fingers trace over his lips and If Desmond wasn't bracing himself for a punch he would had the nerve to blush.
"Even the scar... How would-" Ezios brows furrow "Did you do this to yourself?"
Desmond shakes his face free from his grip, rubbing his cheek "No, I did not. Thank you very much, Im not a weird fanboy of yours if thats what you are thinking"
"Well then who are you? because you are not red but" Yellow also doesnt have to mean good, Desmonds mind filled the empty sentence.
The other assassins shoulders dropped a bit in relief, they knew what Red in Ezios vision meant, Desmond also relaxed more knowing now Ezio didnt see him a target to jump at.
"I will admit, pretending to be you to raid ur base was not the smartest thing."
He cocks an eyebrow eyes still scanning over him, unamused "You dont say..."
"But I had good reasons!"
Ezio circles around Desmond, guessing he wasnt stupid enough to run.
"and what reasons?"
Hyper aware of the steps around him Desmond bites the inside of his cheek, after a second he just blurts out what he is stalling for.
"Im Desmond Miles"
The footsteps stop right behind him, a moment later Desmond sees the Assassins at the door suddenly perk up and nod, closing the door as they slowly turn to leave.
Fuck.
Ready to dodge whatever hell thats supossed to be unleased on him Desmond's whole body tenses.
"Desmond"
His name echoes back to him with a shake.
