Saw Barbie for the THIRD TIME and it was just as excellent as the first two! In fact, it was probably my favorite viewing, because even though I wore the same outfit thanks to my dress drama last night, I went with seven great mom friends from my mom group and it was just so much fun, knowing I was surrounded by people who love me for me no matter what my moods are or when I can't shut up and they are my safe space 🥰 I wish I could post the group photo because I don't look like me, I look like someone who is... dare I say, cute?! It was WILD. But here's some pre-movie selfies (don't mind the dirty mirror). And, yes, I had to borrow my five year old's pink bow because I don't have one 😂

Anyway I have just been VIBING today in my mania and done a lot of things and talked to a lot of people and I'm feeling just... so up, so very up, so here's some pictures of me! Looking, dare I say (again), kinda cute!!! (My hair didn't pouf up the way I wanted it to so I guess I'll just have to work on that, I've never done it this way before but I'd say it was a halfway success.)

I needed a good day. It was not a good day but I had a good night and so, you know, that's good for me! Everything's a rollercoaster lately and now we're on the upswing! Let's see how long it lasts...

L just invited me to see the new Barbie movie in theaters with him... Damn it. He must know that Kira would NEVER go see the Barbie movie. Especially not on opening day. I can't refuse now, or he'll think I'm Kira! Or maybe seeing the Barbie movie to throw off suspicion is exactly the kind of thing he expects Kira would do. He's really got me this time. I don't know how to say this intelligently but something is really bothering me about the reviews for the barbie movie complaining that she didn't go deeply enough into feminist critique? Like,,, it's the Barbie movie. It's not Feminist Theory 402. Also, it's a movie about how women are expected to be spectacular at everything they do and how exhausting it can be to be the representative for all women when you're just one of them and people really watched that and turned around to tell Greta Gerwig that the movie wasn't enough because it wasn't perfect?

It was heartfelt and funny and silly and hot pink and that is enough!! Where is the media literacy!! You all are legitimately hurting my heart with this trash take!! It's fine to not like the movie but how come movies about the "male experience" can be about SOME men but movies about women have to be the balm AND rage AND catharsis AND call to action for every woman ever??? It's the Barbie movie!!! Not Gloria Steinem's latest manifesto!!! Let it fucking be!!!

Can we talk about how America Ferrera delivered this insanely beautiful and impactful monologue about the hardships of being a woman. One of which is the fact that women have to be accountable for men’s actions which she says herself is insane.

And yet.

Here we are. Having to explain to men that the Barbie movie is not anti-men or sexist or meant to make men hate themselves.

We have to, yet again, be accountable for what men feel, and explain that, oh no we don’t hate you! We didn’t mean to upset you! Because the whole point was lost on them.

And now instead of my dash being filled with the magnificence of Barbie and the discoveries she’s made or even just the fact that Ken starts taking control of his life, I am instead somehow subjected to discourse after discourse of people needing to break down the movie so men will stop complaining about it.

I just. Wow. Being a woman. It always comes back to this, doesn’t it. And I hate it. Because we deserve more honestly.

Pansexuality means exactly the same thing. All attempts to say the difference between these two is always just a straight up biphobia

Everyone who is attracted to men and women is bisexual and people have a right to call everyone who is attracted to men and women bisexual. Just like people can call a woman who loves only women a lesbian or a man who loves only men a gay, or those who are attracted only to the opposite sex heterosexual

And removing this right form bisexual people is nothing but biphobia

People are really so afraid of calling themselves bisexual that they have made up millions of idiotic names for bisexuality and It's a real problem (pansexual, omnisexual, polysexual, abroaexual, gaybian...and every other non-existed sexuality that actually is just BIsexuality)
