Taking accountability for my actions

I would like to apologize to the global feminist movement.

A little while ago I stated that rape was bad. In this bigoted, ignorant and racist remark I irresponsibly ignored the fact rape can actually be good. for example, when marginalized people of color (armed terrorists) are doing it to their oppressors (tied up civilian women they just kidnapped), and maybe even healing (they are screaming allahu akbar while doing it and posting the videos online).

I understand now that by making the horrible statement I was siding with the colonizers and causing further trauma to my comrades in gaza but more importantly, in colleges and universities in the west.

After listening to the wise scholars of tiktok and tumblr, I now recognize that rape is bad only when the global left morally approves of the people who are being raped. otherwise, it's "punching up".

I vow to educate myself on the matter, check my privilege and unlearn my biases.

ok here's something you might not know about that's happening in israel rn. antivaxers are a thing here, 5g conspirators are a thing here, ironically lizard people believers are a thing here. these people are usually the same people, we know how things tend to go with conspiracy theorists.

these people are sometimes a part of the left, sometimes a part of the right – some of them like to incorporate bibi into their conspiracy theories, some of them think he is the literal mashiach. i don't know enough about the intricacies of these communities because i don't give a fuck. what i mean to say here is that i trust that you all know why you need to stay away from these people and what they say.

now, since the october 7 attacks were so at odds with the way israel had previously perceived itself, since everyone had previously thought there was no way for something like this to happen without the idf knowing it in advance, a concerning amount of people started to believe that it was an inside job. we know how this happens, we've seen it, there's nothing new here. and as expected, the people who believe this are usually the same people who believe any of the other conspiratorial crap.

(obviously we don't know enough about how this actually happened yet, this event will need to be thoroughly investigated, i don't care what they will find in that investigation bc i think this country should stop existing, etc etc etc)

allllll this is to say. when you see something online and share it. when you reblog something about "the truth about october 7", "what israel is hiding from you", and so on and so forth — be very Very mindful. you don't know where these posts are coming from. and you might end up spreading literal israeli qanon bullshit lol

the thing people need to understand is that when journalists are saying that there's information "on both sides" it's not as simple as misinformation from israelis about palestinians or misinformation about palestinians from israelis. there is a LOT of very racist and anti-arab misinformation about palestine and gaza going around right now, and some of it is from Israelis but a lot of it isn't. What I will say is that there's a TON of antisemitic and anti-israeli content also going around, and a lot of it has not come from Palestinians or from Palestinian liberation organizations, but from pro-russian invasion tankies, white nationalists, and antisemites, all of whom use antisemitism to their own advantage in ways that do not benefit palestine at all. you can take a look at my barib yariel post and read it through , but there's a lot more. Pro-Russian Imperialist tankies have taken considerable advantage of this situation to push anti-ukraine conspiracy theories, but you need to remember that white nationalists of ALL STRIPES have made themselves enemies of "Zionism" for years. There are MANY actors who benefit from disinformation about Jews and Israel that do not have the interests of Palestinian liberation in mind and it is in EVERYONE'S interest that we stop platforming them giving them space in the movement.

Barib is a word that in English roughly translates to "a string of sounds I came up with meant to sound like an Israeli name to English speakers' ears"

Yariel means "a word I made up meant to sound like a Jewish last name because for some reason it is important to me that everyone will understand the fake person I made up is Jewish".

and together they mean "I decided to tell a lie on social media because I get add revenue from twitter and going viral helps me. to do that, I made up something that didn't happen to a person that doesn't exist. I couldn't use real Israeli names because then I might have to face legal consequences for my actions, and I don't want that".

In case no one has told you, the Nov 12th post about "Barib Yariel" is misinformation that originated ftom Jackson Hinkle, self-described "maga communist" who pals around with Tucker Carlson. (There are ofc real IDF snipers doing real violence, but that specific story is fake and Barib Yariel is not a real person.)

Speaking of misinformation, I saw someone claim that the header of your blog is something you just posted recently to show support for Hamas, as opposed to a picture from Rojava that you've had up for years?
