No, Jennifer Lopez Is Not Actually Doing A Whitney Houston Tribute Performance

Contrary to the rumors, the Grammys will not see Jennifer Lopez paying tribute to Whitney Houston.

According to The Grape Juice, the 53-year-old made headlines after a tweet claiming that she was set to do a Houston tribute went viral.

“J.Lo just revealed with @TIME that she is doing a Whitney Houston tribute at the @Grammys next year,” the since-deleted tweet read.

It also claimed that Lopez said “Whitney’s songs fit my vocal range very well” and that she was planning on singing “‘I Have Nothing’ and ‘I Will Always Love You,'” the post stated.

The news set the internet ablaze, with many unimpressed with the decision to elect the “Jenny From the Block” singer to pay homage to Houston.

“Jlo wanting to pay tribute to whitney like ok girl,” one Houston fan tweeted. 

“Annnnnd what the f**k is JLO supposed to do with a Whitney Houston song except have an aneurysm???” added another.

Those tweets are among thousands of others questioning Lopez’s ability to cover Houston’s beloved discography.

Supporting rumors of Lopez’s Grammy performance, a clip of “raw audio” of the singer rehearsing for the tribute made it’s way to Twitter. It garnered tens of thousands of views.

Despite the evidence, Lauren Schwartz, a representative for Lopez, confirmed that Lopez is not slated to perform a tribute to Houston.

“There is no truth to this rumor and that interview did not happen,” Schwartz told The Associated Press.

Schwartz added that they’re “looking into” the audio clip, “but either way it is not related to any Grammy performance.” The clip has actually been making the rounds on social media since at least 2010, and has also been used to show Lopez attempting to sing a Barbra Streisand song. The lyrics included in the video are from the Streisand and Donna Summer song “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough),” and not any hits by Houston.

There’s no proof of the interview on Time’s website, and the Grammys has yet to announce its performers for next year’s award show.READ COMMENTS

Important Dates for JEE Main 2024

The National Testing Agency has officially released the dates for the JEE Main 2024 examination. The exam will be conducted in two sessions, with

 Session 1 taking place from January 24th to February 1st, 2024. 

Session 2 is scheduled to commence on April 1st, 2024, and will run until April 15th. 

Keep an eye out for the forthcoming notification from the agency for further details.

Age Limit

There is no fixed age limit. 

Educational Qualification Criteria

Candidates must have successfully cleared the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates who cleared the 12th board exams in 2022 or 2023, or are scheduled to appear in 2024, are also eligible to apply.

                      In connection with the Plaintiff's Petition for Injunctive Relief against the defendants in this case, it is fundamental that the Selective Service Act Title 50, Section 451 et. seq. is and has

been adjudicated constitutional and finds its basis in the emergency and war powers of Congress. It is also axiomatic as demonstrated by numerous Supreme Court decisions on the subject, that

the scope of the Act does not provide for judicial review in the ordinary sense. The Orders of the Selective Service Board, after having run the gamut of statutorily authorized examination and re-

examination, must be deemed final although they may be erroneous. The Act does not provide for or

The inconsistency in Petitioner's claims and/or basis for exemption is self-evident.

          3.  Great care was taken by the Court in examining Petitioner concerning his present claim for ministerial exemption and the entire religious and ministerial question was thoroughly examined.

                                                                                                                                                 VI.

          As pointed out by the United States Supreme Court in Witmer v. U.S., supra, and reiterated by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in Wood v. U.S. , supra (page 7, slip opinion) United States District Courts such as this Court should not purport to and cannot sit as:

          ". . . . super draft boards, substituting (our) judgments on the weight of the evidence for those of the designated agencies."

          The test which this Court has jurisdiction to apply, presupposing now reviewable Board action, is clearly stated in Wood v. U.S., supra, (slip opinion, page 5):

          "Where the local Board has denied the claimed exemption, this Court has construed these cases to require that there be 'some proof that is  

          incompatible with the registrants proof of exemption'".  Citing Wiggins v. U.S., 5 Cir., 261 F.2d 113, 115.

                                                                                                                                            VII.

          From the foregoing it follows, as a finding of fact and as a conclusion of law, that any Selective Service Board determination that Petitioner Muhammad Alis is not entitled to ministerial exemption cannot be, and will not be, disturbed by this Court.

“Superman has type 1 diabetes,” Clark corrects. “If it’s a vote, I would also love to go home now.”

The Batman scowls. “You are not flying anywhere on your own with low blood glucose.”

Clark pretends it’s his super hearing that allows him to hear the unsaid, “Idiot,” following the rest of the sentence.

“Hold on,” Aquaman says. “How the hell does Superman get diabetes?”

Or: After defeating Steppenwolf, Clark and Barry have to deal with low blood sugar. The team is shocked to discover Clark’s not as invulnerable as the world thinks. T1D!Clark Kent and hypoglycemic!Barry Allen.

Briefly, the world spun and Zuko forgot where he was. He blinked. Instead of the raised podium he, Aang, King Kuei, and the other presiding nobles had been sitting in all morning, Zuko found himself standing in front of a small, elderly Fire Nation woman holding out a glass of Watermelon juice.  

“I said that’ll be three copper pieces,” she said.  

Zuko frowned. “Who are you?”

Or: Soulmates switch bodies for 16 minutes when the younger one turns sixteen. In all the hullabaloo of ending the war, everyone forgot it was Sokka’s birthday. He and Zuko swap bodies just as Zuko has to give an important speech and Sokka’s blood sugar runs low. T1D! Sokka. Post-canon.
