Y'know, I've always said that my favorite character type is just "main characters," but I'm beginning to realize that that isn't (or at least is no longer) true.

My favorite character type is repressed freak.

I am obsessed with characters that are desperately ignoring or repressing some major part of themselves. The more twisted and detached from reality their self-concept is, the more I love them. Whichever character has the least understanding of their own thought processes is automatically my blorbo.

#I like characters that are puzzles begging to be solved #characters that make you say what the FUCK is going on inside their head #I love to psychoanalyze them #this applies to allen walker #to both noé and vanitas from vnc #to like every main character from succession #to Willy G and Jon Archivist #but the thing that finally made this click for me was sqq from scum villain lmao #bc mdzs is still my fav mxtx novel #but sqq is ABSOLUTELY my favorite mxtx character across all the books #because holy shit does that man have something wrong with him #he is the KING of repressing shit #invasion of the frogs
