Your Twin Peaks fun fact of the day

Day #9

Catherine Coulson, who played the Log Lady died in 2015 of cancer. Her gravestone looks like every grave you would find in a cemetery, it includes her English name, her Hebrew name, her birth, and death years and the words "Daughter, Mother, Sister, Friends". But above all that are engraved two hands holding a log, a tribute to her iconic role.

She posthumously appeared in the third season of Twin Peaks in which the first episode is dedicated to her. While the fifteenth, the final to feature her character (who announces her death before dying offscreen), is dedicated to Margaret Lanterman, Log Lady herself.

Rest in peace Catherine, you were the perfect person to portray the amazing Log Lady.

Oh, my goodness! You don't know how much I needed this today! It's going to be a stressful week coming up as my brother and I prepare for the rest of our siblings to come visit. Yes, this includes the sister that sent me into a mental spiral last spring. Fortunately, her husband is NOT coming; I'll be very okay if I never speak to him again.

This is probably weird but that one post you made about your labels changing really resonated with me and I'm also bigender but I'm younger and I'm worried that my labels are gonna change once I'm older and that it really is "just a phase" or whatever but y'know what? that's okay! cuz for my older teen years I've got lgbtq+ friends whose labels might also change and even if I'm new to the community and don't know much about pronouns or different labels/sexualities I'm willing to learn so on behalf of us kids who are struggling and starting/on the journey of finding ourselves thank you for saying it's okay to have your labels change.

not weird at all !! I remember being in your place a few years ago and I've gone through so many labels since then while figuring myself out, I hope more people can realize that how they feel now is valid even if their labels do change in the future and that they're not harming anybody by trying different ones, and I'm so glad you have lgbtq+ friends to support you along the way :)
