The shutter opens. Just for a moment. Just enough.

Enough for the light to pour in—soft, golden, cruel. Enough to catch a breath mid-laugh, a glance too full of life, a gesture no one meant to last. The moment is not made to endure. It is made to flicker, to burn, and then to vanish.

A shutter doesn’t ask for permission. It simply opens, then closes, leaving only the echo of what was seen. Like the last note of a song still ringing in the air after the instrument falls silent. Like boys reciting poetry in candlelight, unsure if anyone will remember the sound of their voices.

To let the light enter is to agree to the loss. To capture is to consent to the fleeting. It’s the most human tragedy—to stand still like a statue while time keeps walking. To reach for something already becoming the past. The photo lives on, but the living move forward, and the shutter never opens the same way twice.

It’s not fair, but it’s beautiful.

To motion capture a star—but you don't know if it is going to burn or die. If it is going to be a supernova or just—fall.

To let the light in is an act of rebellion. A promise that even if we vanish, we burned for a second. We existed, framed in that thin sliver between then and now. And for that one breath, we mattered.

Carpe diem, the shutter whispers.

And then, it closes.

attack on titan is such a well written story about moral ambiguity with morally gray characters that literally spoon feeds the viewer everything it’s crazy how the fandom is filled with people who are always screaming “there is only one bad and one good guy the world is black and white!!!”

I will never understand people who simp over real life serial killers like if you take a few minutes to look into their cases past all the media romanticization they’re like the lamest losers ever who were stupid enough to get caught

awww thank you bea 😭🩵 its been a while since i read about it so my memory is kinda rusty, but its a persian love story about a man called qays who fell in love with a girl named layla. qays was not a wealthy man so layla's father did not want his daughter's future to be one of poverty so he forbade them from visiting each other. he used to sneak out with her when her father was asleep but he ended up finding out and he grounded layla and moved to another city with her. her father knew a man there with a wealthy family who layla would marry. qays lost his mind, as the villagers liked to say. they named him "majnun," meaning crazy or insane because his love for layla made losing her feel unbearable. i dont know the rest of the story unfortunately, its quite a cliche but thats what i like about it.
