For some reason, the dnd:hat movie has been living rent-free in my head for over a week. Xenk is just rattling around in there right now, having a long talk with Kira about morality, mortality, personal sacrifice, and being a child who saw the Beckoning Death unleashed on their home.

I feel like Xenk would have a lot to say that Kira needs to hear, and be a good listener for the things Kira needs to talk about that she can't tell her dad or Holga. He'd probably benefit from talking to her, too. Kira almost experienced the same tragedy he did when he was her age. It would be cathartic for him to help her through that, knowing he helped save her from ever experiencing what he went through

my anonymous assumption is that you read warrior cats as a kid in an attempt to fit in with all the other kids reading it but you never really got into it. you liked the roleplaying at recess that came from it though

you're nearly right but underestimating my autism. cats were my first special interest (*i highly doubt this is unique for autistic babies). my first word was kitty. I made a songbook where I wrote out the lyrics to varuous public domain singalong songs and changed most of the words to 'Cat' or 'Kitty'. I made a warrior cats role playing card game and played it on my own. I was roleplaying at recess and friends' houses until we were 'too old'. I missed it terribly.

it costs ZERO DOLLARS not to clown on the sharks...like i know EYE clown on the sharks but i pay taxes in san jose so it's my right as a resident to talk shit...mayor matt literally said "it's legal to clown on the sharks if you paid my salary this year" in his last email blast..... anyway this made me really really emo bc in my humble idiot opinion the sharks have been missing that veteran locker room joie de vivre that brent burns had in spades that i think did some heavy lifting after joe pavelski left and logan couture was trying to shoulder the entire locker room alone. i think they were hoping mario ferraro would be the locker room joy guy but you can't like take away burnzie, put cooch on ltir for an entire season and then take away hertl too and expect mario, who is barely not a rookie, to still keep his head up...like he needs a guide...a role model...someone to set the tone...he is only 25!! he's just a lil guy!!!! and i think tyler toffoli is gonna be the person to step into that hole that burnzie left and do a lot of that heavy lifting while leadership is still being sorted out and let mario like, be a young guy and just enjoy hockey again. like i really think tyler toffoli is gonna be so good for the rookies, that's been proven across multiple teams and i'm excited to see it, but i think he's going to be really good for the guys who have been grinding it out in this org without joy ballast for a long couple of years now. (i guess at this point that's. just mario and pickles. maybe cooch if he's alive. haha. oh ariana we're really in it now 😭)
