Or, well- actually she tried to tell me my girlfriend’s cheating on me and I need to get over it and move out of her place.” Buck shakes his head, eyes widening at what he just implied. “She’s not! Cheating, I mean. She’s just- trying to find herself after losing her mom. She just needs a little space, y’know?”

At least, that’s the excuse Buck’s giving Abby for why she hasn’t called him in over two weeks.

Eddie nods with a vague sort of expression on his face like he hadn’t expected him to overshare that much. Which, oops.

In which Eddie decides to rent out his spare room to help with mortgage repayments right around the time Buck decides to move out of Abby's place after some not so gentle prodding from Maddie. It's a coincidence. Or serendipity. Or maybe just really good timing.

summary: lorena's whole world was taken away from her in the blink of an eye, after she accidentally broke a canon event. lucky for her though, she was able to find a portal watch in her dimension and used it to get out before she glitched out of existence. unfortunately though, running from dimension to dimension, she's been named as an anomaly by the spider society. now, she's constantly on the run from them, their leader in particular. when she eventually gets caught though, she's recruited onto a mission to catch another anomaly who might be from her past. to her dismay though, her partner on this mission is her very captor. will she be able to stop arguing with him for long enough to get the job done?

It was the sun that slithered into the room through the cracks in the blinds that woke her up. Lorena preferred that to the normal wakeup call from a nightmare, or the sounds of honking cars next to her on the street. The way the bed had molded itself to her shape made it impossible for her to move. Almost like it was trapping her in its comfort. Even if the mattress was old, the fact that this had been her first time sleeping in an actual bed, and not a bench, sidewalk, or cot, in months was enough to provide her ease. 

She turned to face the other side of the bed, surprised when no one was in sight. Miguel was probably in the bathroom or something. She was more focused on a different fact: this had been the first sleep in weeks without a nightmare.

Huh. Weird.

She sat up in bed, noticing she was still in her robe from the bathroom. She rubbed the drowsiness off her face as the click of the door lock called her attention. Letting in a stream of early sunlight with him, Miguel walked through the door, pitch black sunglasses covering his eyes, a box in one hand, and a cup tray in the other. “Figured you’d be hungry when you woke up,” he said once he noticed she was awake. He softly kicked the door closed behind him, setting the tray on the desk near the door and the box on the bed. 

Pulled by curiosity, she moved her hands towards the box and opened it to see what was inside. Her mouth immediately started watering when she opened it to see assorted treats such as conchas, bigotes, and mantecadas. “I was in the mood,” Miguel said, pulling the drinks out of the tray. “I didn’t know how much cream or sugar you liked so I just got you black cause that's what I get,” he said, handing the hot cup of coffee to her. 

The smell of the pastries mixed with the coffee was enough to make her want to cry. It reminded of the smells of her aunt’s kitchen in the morning. The bitterness of the coffee stung at her throat, but it was overshadowed by the comfort it brought her. She picked up one of the bigotes, and had to hold back her tears of joy when she took a bite. “Gracias por todo,” she said, mouth full of food and covered in sugar. Miguel smiled at the sight of her. “De nada, cariño,” he said sweetly, taking one of the conchas for himself. 

As he walked away with his food, towards the bathroom, Lorena noticed something about him. “Where’d you get the clothes?” she asked, mouth still filled with food. He was now wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a plain white t-shirt. “It’s part of my suit,” he responded, fixing his hair in the bathroom mirror. “¿Cómo?” He sighed. “Remember what I said about the whole nanotech thing last night?” “Yeah, what about it?” Suddenly, the shirt and sweatpants shifted into his blue and red suit just before her eyes. “Woah…” she exclaimed in awe. “I can change its appearance as long as the outfit is downloaded to my suit’s database.” “Oh,” Lorena expressed, even if she still didn’t fully understand what he was talking about. 

“Why’d you get to be born in the crazy, futuristic dimension with all the fancy tech,” she complained to herself, just loud enough for Miguel to hear. “Why, do you want one?” he asked, in between a small chuckle. “I mean it would be nice to wear something other than a tight spandex suit for once,” Lorena joked, getting an actual laugh out of Miguel for once. Lorena blushed and smiled at his reaction. “Well lucky for you, you’re gonna need one for tonight,” he responded. “What do you mean?” she asked, after taking a sip from her coffee. 

He tossed her a small, golden chain. “The outfit should form around that chain. I had Lyla upload different outfits for the day, since she probably knows better than I do. When you’re ready, put it on.” Lorena admired the golden material. She was lucky she wasn’t a silver jewelry girl. “So what’s on the to-do list for today,” she said, still looking at the chain. “Stay undercover for the majority of the day, then head over to the Moonlit River club at night. Lyla should have that outfit uploaded by now,” he responded, brushing his teeth with the provided amenities in the motel. 

“Why, are you finally deciding to take me out dancing to pay me for my troubles,” she joked, taking a sip of coffee after. Miguel spit out his toothpaste and sighed. “Brock meets up there on Thursday nights to trade weapons.”

Silence filled the space between them.

She knew this day had to come. She just wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. 

“I see,” was all she could manage to say, before taking another sip of her coffee.

Miguel could feel the turmoil radiating off of her from the bathroom. He washed out his mouth, and splashed a bit of water on his face before walking over to her. He pushed the box of pastries to the side, and took a seat in front of her on the sheets.

“Mirarme,” he softly spoke, using his pointer finger to guide her eyes to his. She looked up at him, trying her best not to get lost in the crimson shade of his eyes. “I-” He cut himself off before he could continue. He melded her hand into his before speaking again. “I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I want you to know that if this becomes too much for you…you can back out.” His inflection was weird. As if he didn’t want her to, but still wanted to keep her comfortable. A wrestling match between what he wanted and what was best for her. 

“And I’ve said it before too. I’m not running away from this,” Lorena said back, voice strong. “Ok. Just know if things get bad for you in there, I’ve got your back,” he said, concern in his voice. He had also found his eyes roaming her face, not realizing they had both subconsciously moved closer to each other. “And I’ve got yours too,” she said back. Once he had realized Lorena’s robe was loose enough to see inside to her chest, Miguel cleared his throat and got up from the bed quickly. 

“I’m gonna go into town, see if I can pick up any information on the street. You can do whatever you want until its time, but make sure to-” “Yeah, yeah, lay low. Relax big guy, I’ve got this,” she cut him off, reassuringly. He exited the room quickly, like he was in a rush to get away from her. He was gone for almost the rest of the day.

About 8pm that night. 

Miguel was outside in the main room of the motel while Lorena was getting herself ready in the bathroom. Miguel had gone out earlier and bought her some cheap makeup and perfume from a local drugstore, a sweet gesture. 

Once she finished with her makeup and straightening up her hair, she tapped on the middle part of her gold chain, causing a menu to pop up. She scrolled through the options until she came across the last one, labeled by Lyla as “night time😉”. She clicked on the option, as she watched in awe as her casual t-shirt and sweatpants shifted into her outfit for the night. A tight black dress, cut asymmetrically to show one of her thighs, and a turtle neck part detached from the rest of the dress, with glove-like sleeves. This feature allowed for the perfect peephole towards her chest. Lorena had a feeling Lyla would try to do some matchmaking with her outfit.

With a quick spritz of perfume, a double check of her face in the mirror, and quickly putting on a black headband for her hair, Lorena quickly exited the bathroom. Miguel was standing there, waiting by the door and checking his portal watch. He was sporting a black, silk, button up shirt, tucked into black dress pants. The fact that the shirt was way too tight for him was accentuated by his muscles sculpted by the fabric and the fact that the first two buttons were open. His eye was caught by Lorena when she stepped out of the bathroom, his mouth slightly agape in awe and his eyes almost stuck to her.

“It’s flashy, I know. But it’s better that I fit in,” she said, trying to divide the tension in the room as she walked closer to him. “I-...um,” he stammered. “At a loss for words for once O’Hara?” she teased. Noticing a stray hair on the top of his head, she reached up to him to push it back. “Quédate quieto,” she commanded softly, while she stuck the piece back into the gel, trying to ignore how he was admiring her. 

“There you go. Ahora te ves guapo,” she teased, patting his chest with her hand. Miguel still had that stupid smile on his face. “Y te ves hermosa,” he said softly, and with utter sincerity. 

She couldn’t tell if she was caught more off guard with his words of affirmation, or the fact that the blush quickly forming on her cheeks was confirming her secret love of it. 

Clearing her throat, she unlocked the door, opened it, and gestured her hand to outside. “Lead the way big guy.” He smirked at her as he walked outside. He even got the courage to offer her his hand. This confidence was quickly deflated when she smacked away his hand, giggling to herself as she took the lead down the stairs. 

The night life of the city was bustling on the streets. Couples together, arm in arm, surely walking to a fancy restaurant for a night out. Lines forming outside of nightclubs, patrons with an urgency to get in. Everyone walking down the street with their own story to tell, just like Lorena. 

After walking for a couple of miles, the bright, neon blue sign shone in front of the entrance. The door was a mahogany red, with three stairs leading down to the entrance. But opposite to Miguel’s eagerness to get inside by opening the door, Lorena slightly froze, eyes blank. 

This was it. It was going to happen. Whether she was ready or not.

“Hey.” Miguel’s calm voice pulled her back to reality. “Stay with me. Okay?” He held out his large hand for her. This time, she decided to take it. “And remember to try and fit in,” he added. Her smile quickly turned sour and annoyed.

The atmosphere was loud, a mixture of people talking and the bass of the music filling the room. The fact that the lights were out didn’t seem to matter much with the amount of strobe and neon lights flashing within the bar. Lorena noticed Miguel quickly putting on a pair of sunglasses hidden in his jacket pocket. “I thought you said we needed to fit in,” Lorena stated as the two walked towards a high top near the bar. “I did. And?” “You really think you’re blending in with a pair of sunglasses on indoors? At night? In a club?” Lorena joked. “The lights hurt my eyes,” Miguel said, puppy dog hurt. Lorena had to fight to contain the laughter rising in her chest.

Once they sat down, and the reality of events settled down on Lorena, she began to look around the club. People sprayed out on couches, drunkenly conversing or making out. People out on the dance floor. Men walking into booths in the back, shielded by curtains. Eddie was probably in one of those. “I’m heading to the bar. You want anything?” Miguel asked, snapping her out of her daze. “Uhhhh, just get me something strong,” she brushed off, still not entirely paying attention. He shrugged and walked off to the bar. 

Lorena continued to inspect the area, her thoughts bouncing all over the place. What did this Eddie look like? Did he have black hair instead? Was his voice higher? Her Eddie always had a particularly deep tone. Smooth like silk as well. She would spend days on end focusing on the way he would say a single sentence back when she was first crushing on him. Would he act like her Eddie? She realized quickly she probably wouldn’t get the opportunity to find out. She didn’t necessarily want to find out anyways.

…

Would she have to kill him again? Would Miguel make her?

The smack of the glass on the table brought her back to reality. “You weren’t really specific, so I just got you a negroni,” Miguel said, open bottle of beer in his hand. Without a second thought, Lorena downed half the glass just then, proven to be a mistake with how strong the drink actually was. Her mouth curled inwards as her eyes shut closed, letting out a few coughs quickly after. 

Miguel laughed slightly, and slammed his hand against her back to help her cough. “What the fuck was that?” “Hey, you told me to get you something strong!” Miguel defended. “I thought you were gonna get me a margarita or something,” Lorena said, rubbing her chest with her hand. “Haven’t had alcohol in more than a year and you hit me with that straight away,” she said to herself. Subconsciously, he handed her his bottle. “Take a sip of that then.” She smiled to herself as she put her lips to the bottle and took a good sip of the beer. “Better?” he asked, like she was a child. “Yes, thank you for your charity sir, you’re so kind,” she responded sarcastically. 

“Find anything interesting yet?” Miguel asked, taking back the bottle. Lorena’s eyes went back to the curtains. “Those booths back there look promising. Are we sure he’s here yet though?” Lorena asked. “I have a hunch.” Lorena looked up at Miguel, annoyance on her face. “We’re going…off of a hunch?” “Just trust me on this okay.” Lorena sighed and took another sip of her own drink, wincing again when she put it back down. 

Her eyes were drawn away from the drapes and over to the lit up dance floor. She had always been the first one to bring her friends to dance with her when she was younger. Seeing it again brought feelings flooding back to her heart. Spontaneously, she jumped up from her chair and held out her hand to Miguel. “...What are you doing?” he asked, incredibly confused. 

“You said we had to blend in, right? We’ll do that better if we’re out there dancing,” she said. “Oh, no way. I don’t dance, chiquita,” he said, almost embarrassed. “Oh come on, for someone with your build? You’ve definitely danced before. Don’t be a debby downer Miggy,” she encouraged, both of them caught slightly off guard by the nickname slip. He rolled his head back, wiped his hands over his face, and let out a deep, annoyed groan. Once he stood up though and took her hand, it was impossible for Lorena to lose the smile growing on her face. “You’re taking the lead though, Loré,” he said, having come up with a nickname for her as well. She hoped the sunglasses he had on would keep him from seeing the blush on her face.

They didn’t.

Hand in hand, Lorena led Miguel over to the brightly lit floor, music blasting in the speakers next to them. Miguel stook out like a sore thumb, his huge build making him extremely identifiable among the other strangers on the floor. Lorena fit right in though, immediately beginning to dance to the blasting music. Miguel tried his best to copy her moves, but ended up looking like a fool. “You were right, you really aren’t that good at this,” Lorena teased. “Ha ha, very funny,” Miguel said monotonically. As the music changed slowly to a slower pace, they noticed the people around them grouping to dance into a pairs. She looked up to Miguel. He raised his eyebrow at her, asking her without words. Her smile was confirmation, as they inched towards each other. 

Almost as if they were pre-programmed to do so, Lorena wrapped her arms around Miguel’s neck, and his wrapped around her hips. They swayed together slowly to the music, melting into each others touch. He rested his head on her shoulder, his hot breath leaving goosebumps on her skin.

“This isn’t my wheelhouse,” he quietly whispered into her ear, sending shivers down her spine. “Why, better when other music is playing?” she whispered back sarcastically. “Everyone here’s lucky they aren’t playing salsa right now, or I’d be stealing the show.” Lorena let out a laugh. “Is that so?” He nodded, a huge smirk on his face. “I’m more of mambo person myself,” she responded. He smiled at her remark. “You’ll have to teach me some day.”

She struggled to keep the smile on her face as those words entered her head. You’ll have to teach me some day. She hadn’t even begun to think about it. What she would do after this mission was over. The whole point of doing this was so she could be granted her freedom. She wanted it so badly a couple of days ago. But now. She hadn’t even thought of staying as a possibility. Because to her, it wasn’t. She couldn’t invade Miguel’s life like that. She wasn’t even 100% sure how she felt about him, much less on how he felt about her. Besides, no matter how much she just wanted to settle down with someone. To live an actual life. She didn’t deserve it. 

Pulling away from him was like separating herself from her source of life, but she did it anyways. “You okay?” Miguel asked concerned. “Yeah, I just gotta freshen up for a second,” she said, wiping her nose. She turned around quickly to get away. Too quickly though, bumping into someone’s back on her way to the bathroom. 

Knocked off her balance, and her headband knocked out of her hair, she fell to the floor on her ass. “Sorry about that,” she said, slightly dissociated, reaching out for her headband. The stranger also reached down to help with her headband. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it gorgeous.”

Her heart dropped to her stomach.

That voice.

“Don’t lose your heart.”

She desperately wanted to keep her eyes glued to the floor. She didn’t want to look at him. But she had to keep her cover up. So she did, as slowly as she could though. And it was the worst possibly outcome.

He looked just like him. Strawberry blonde hair. Deep blue eyes. Small scar just above right eyebrow. His bottom two teeth fighting for room on the bottom row of his mouth. There was only one difference though. One of her favorite parts about him. This Eddie was missing his freckles. His beautiful light brown freckles.

She gave the stranger with her dead boyfriend’s face a strained smile while she grabbed her headband and rushed behind to the door. Her own brain pounding in her head was too loud for her to hear Miguel as she nearly ran passed him. She slammed the door to the outside open as she took in the air like it was her first breath ever. Even if she was outside now, she kept running. She sprinted down the streets, not taking any of her surroundings into account. She saw him in everyone’s face. His ghost had always been haunting her, but she wasn’t ready for him to move from behind her back to in front of her face. She ran so far and so fast until her legs ached, and even after that. She didn’t even know where she was going. She didn’t care. She just needed to get away from him as quickly as possible. Even if that meant leaving Miguel behind too. 

Her sprint was interrupted when her foot was caught in a change in the elevation on the sidewalk. Her face slammed into the concrete sidewalk, scraping her cheek and her knees. She used the rest of her strength, all drained out from her bolting, to crawl into a nearby alley. She made her way to the back and slunk down into the corner, hoping to meld into the brick behind her. Especially if it meant she never had to see him again.

manhunt au drabble

im making a manhunt au that im quite proud of and very excited for, if anyones curious here’s me just talking about it 

so basically dream is a mortal on earth in, like, some undisclosed year (not modern but kind of with modern slang) like pre dsmp, and he’s super cocky, super selfish, basically a huge dick no one likes. he’s also really strong and really smart, so he’s always challenging people to these dumb bets to prove that he’s better than them, and he always wins. the more he wins, the more he starts betting money, and the more he starts betting money, the less people pay up when they lose. 

and then there are the gods. i havent decided who goes to speak to him, hannah (i figured she could be the most powerful goddess since she was the only one to get an elytra in the dsmp) or callahan (since he apparently helped a lot with the manhunts behind the scenes) but i think im gonna go with callahan. anyways callahan hears about this mortal who thinks too highly of himself and decides to knock him down a few notches by setting up a trial for him. which is manhunt. he recruits five gods to help him, and indirectly makes them sign their souls away to fight him if it comes down to it. he’s positive dream won’t make it past the first god (george) but he has the other four as back ups. 

the rules are simple: kill the ender dragon without getting killed. the challenge itself takes place on some plane thats on the tightrope between the mortal plane and the heavens, where the gods live. when he dies, he wakes up in a new world with scars from before. when he wins and walks through the end portal, the same happens. and yes, im going to include his irl scar, im still figuring out how i’m going to do so. 

the gods, when they first join, hate dream. they hate that its because of him theyve been stripped of all their powers and reduced to mortals just to give him a fair fight. they hate that they lost their right to choose, being forced to participate in this dumb gauntlet. eventually, they all become sort of friends, but that’s in the moments before and after the fight starts. during it, theyre focused intently on their goal. 

since the gods can die and respawn as they please, they feel nothing when they die. well obviously they feel something, but for dream, depending on how he dies, the pain is excruciating. but he and the gods alike dont feel much during the fights themselves so it doesn’t distract them. so if like dream takes fall damage, usually youd swear and grab your ankle and maybe have a limp if you fell really far, but he just keeps running. he only feels it afterwards. 

this gauntlet lasts for weeks, maybe months. time is irrelevant here. but when its over and dream returns home, he’s informed no time was missed while he was competing. he was granted immortality for winning, but he demands to become a god for the hell he was put through, and at the end, he becomes dreamxd.

Haru's original idea was around how not everyone who dreams of being JAKDF combatant, makes it. I love how kn8 canon basically tells you its never too late and encourages you to follow your dreams but I kinda wanted to go at it from th other angle of. Sometimes, you have to give up. But you don't have to give up entirely. You just need to change your approach, or find something within it that you can do. Adapting your dreams to your reality, and visa versa. That kinda thing.

So Haru's childhood dream was to join the JAKDF as a combatant, but he runs into a lot of issues along the way. He's got financial issues from loosin his family pretty early on, and also he hits a pretty hard wall in terms of unleashed combat potential (his stops around 10%).

(He's a bit of a delinquent in high school. Mainly due to skipping classes for part time work, and hanging out with a not-so-great crowd)

After runnin into many walls and kind of hitting, a really low point, he gets recruited into the research and operations side of things when a higher up notices he's pretty decent at the more analytical side of stuff. He takes the out, and he switches out combat training and goes into research and operations instead. From there he goes into research only, and then goes overseas for extended training/education.

He uh, was kind of running away from his social life in japan, and also the kinda, internalized pressure due to stuff. He feels kinda guilty about it (had a huge falling out with a friend when leaving). But he goes! Overseas, to the US as part of a sister school training program kinda deal. The program is kind of a half training/combat program and half educational, so he's doing both for a little bit.

During his time as a combatant, he gets his arm eaten by a kaiju, and he gets removed from the combat program entirely. Due to, uh. Well trauma, injury, and missing a whole ass arm.

You can find the comic about his arm gettin eaten and his ptsd around kaiju in general [here]. But with the removal from the combatant program he goes full into research and kinda, finds out he enjoys it. He gets himself a degree, and ends up as a professor? Mainly there for research, but he's required to teach a few classes. This is where he meets Pati (friend's oc) who becomes his friend and also assistant.

Haru's research ends up centered around kaiju fibers, and how they affect unleashed combat potential (UCP), and general sync rates. His first actual use of his research was making himself a prosthesis, which is kind of his thesis project. I think.

He turns out to be compatible with the kaiju that ate his arm so thats fun. For me. And not for him. The kaiju he got eaten by is also, a little special? Its not a numbered kaiju by any means, but i enjoyed messing around with its abilites and concepts for it, so its spawn shows up semi often in my doodles. Haru is, not exactly happy to see they're still around.

Eventually he ends up going back to Japan, and working with the JAKDF where he meets Yamato (Izfaish's oc) and a whole buncha, other ocs I have. And gets hauled into the whole conflict going on over there. His reasons for returning isnt, quite set yet? I think its fun if the JAKDF recruited him for a specific project and he just, stays hired by them or smth, but that part and the timing for his return keeps changing.

I cant remember if ive ever mentioned my Floorboard AU before, but either way im gonna talk about it now and you cant stop me

Premise: Aspheera didnt banish Zane, she killed him. Poof. Vaporized. Gone. Kablooey. And the team, determined not to fall apart like they did the last time he died, decide to just. Not talk about it. Not address what happened. Just bottle everything up and pretend all is well, because theyre all terrified that if they openly acknowledge the gaping absence Zane left behind then it'll cause a team conflict. Things got messy last time Zane died, and they don't trust themselves not to fall apart twice. Which, when you think about it, might just be the most fitting way to honor Zane's memory, seeing as he was like the king of bottling things up (Ninjigma, anyone?)

Of course, this is only made more challenging by the fact that Pixal has inherited Zane's ice, and every time she uses or trains her new element its just a bitter reminder - to her and everyone else - of the fact that Zane is gone.

So now the ninja are going through all the motions of the Wildbrain seasons, but with everything warped by the loss of Zane. Like, Pixal dealing with all the mixed feelings of having Zane's powers, Wu training her, Kai lowkey resenting Pixal because he doesn't want her to replace Zane, Jay blaming himself for not taking Zane's vision seriously but ALSO refusing to tell anyone about it out of shame, Lloyd and Wu both fiercely blaming themselves for what happened, and Nya and Cole doing their darndest to hold everyone together but NOT doing very well. Someone get these kids some therapy.

And it's not just the characters, but the plot - in season 12, Unagami makes a Zane NPC to distract the ninja. And in season 13, they agree to go to Shintaro in the hopes that maybe a vacation will be a good distraction break from everything that's been going on. But with Cole's Mom TraumaTM opening back up, and a bunch of slavery happening, and the team getting split up, nobody is having a good time. Not to mention that Kai and Pixal end up stuck together, which sucks because they don't exactly get along anymore. And then of course, Seabound ends with Nya sacrificing herself - which ends up being the last straw that rips apart the team for realsies.

Now here's the catch: in the same way that Harumi was brought back by the Crystal King, so too has Zane been resurrected. The Overlord knows Zane is a powerful adversary, and would much rather have him on his side. Not to mention that Zane still has some Golden Power indelibly woven into his soul, and the explosion that killed them both also bound their fates together. When Zane defeated the Overlord, he earned his enemy's hatred and respect in equal measure.

But unlike Harumi, Zane's body was destroyed, meaning he cant be restored to his original vessel. So the Overlord instills Zane into a crystal construct that is bound to his will. Zane has to obey the Overlord, and he has no choice in the matter.

That being said, even as he's puppetted by the Overlord, hes not completely bereft of agency. He still resists every chance he gets, constantly trying to find some loophole in the Overlord's demands that will allow him to return to his friends and warn them about the coming threat. Also, he notices Harumi's reservations and doubts, and begins trying to appeal to her senses and get her to betray the Overlord. And while he's not 100% successful, he at least gets the ball rolling for Harumi's eventual redemption arc. Zane WILL defeat his enemy by making them his friend and that is a THREAT.

Zane also realizes that since he cant physically disobey the Overlord long enough to contact his friends, then maybe he can find a way to get someone else to do it for him. When choosing recruits for the Crystal Council, Zane manages to convince the Overlord to resurrect Morro for his cause - Morro was on their side in the end, after all, and only the ninja are aware of this. See, Zane is under the Overlord's control because he cant be trusted to keep his free will without fighting back - but if Morro keeps up appearances about being evil, then the Overlord might give him more leeway.

Morro isnt exactly happy about being dragged into a mess that has nothing to do with him, but reluctantly agrees to help Zane (if only in an effort to make up for his past). So they've kinda got a bittersweet begrudging alliance at first, that slowly evolves into something resembling a friendship.

And of course, while Zane is busy having the worst day of his life for like 50 days in a row, the ninja are ALSO having a bad time because the whole team is practically a hair-trigger away from a massive blow-out confrontation. That's what happens when you bottle things up, kids.

I have a lot more ideas for the AU, but these are all the broad strokes i have definitively planned out.

(If youre curious, its called the Floorboard AU because the WIP I had originally planned for it had the working title "The Floorboards Creak Under the Weight of Your Guilt." This is because the fic started out as a oneshot about the brief timeskip between the Fire and Ice Chapters, dissecting everyone's grief in response to Zane being assumed dead AGAIN. But then I thought "what if he died for real" and then things just spiraled out of control from there. I might change the name of the AU at some point though, who knows)

How does/did Draxum feel about the other turtles in this fic? When he was still stalking Donnie, did he ever consider maybe one of his brothers as well? Now that theyre trying to get him back, is Draxum feeling any guilt for what hes putting them through?

Considered taking them? No. They could be useful, but ultimately no more useful than any other mutant. There would be no point in recruiting them forcefully if he could get other mutants to join him willingly. The only time he ever really considered kidnapping another one was towards the end of Table Arc, when he really started forming an attachment to Donnie and was trying to alleviate his guilt and make his whole situation suck a bit less. There, yeah, he considered maybe letting him keep one of his brothers and brainwashing both of them. But Donnie didn't react well to the idea, so he scrapped it.

There's a bit of a snag in talking about what Draxum's plan would have been if Donnie had actually taken him up on his offer to join him. Mostly because I hadn't actually planned on writing a giant fic or publishing it when I wrote that scene and hadn't really thought it out yet. I say Draxum was probably hoping that in time, Donnie could convince his brothers to join them as well, or at the very least leave them alone. But the more I think about it, the more I think that Draxum would have still brainwashed him at least a little bit, or put some sort of control spell on him. The Table was a symbol of the threat that Donnie posed-he was too smart to be given even an inch, and Draxum would have been a moron to simply let him up and give him access to his lab immediately after abducting him. Letting him contact his brothers would have been extremely stupid; they would have figured out a way around Draxum's measures to free Donnie eventually, and they'd have been able to tell if Donnie was altered in any way. We're circling back again to how Draxum really shot himself in the foot when he refused to compromise with Donnie and go "okay, the humans can stay, but Jeff Bezos is going down and we're gonna destroy the fossil fuel industry."

Does he feel guilty now? Dude, Draxum does not want to think about any of that. He does a lot of telling himself that he has no reason to feel guilty. After all, his son's name is Galois. Galois has no brothers. The turtles' brother is Donnie, and Donnie died on his lab table. Yeah, that's awful, but he can't bring Donnie back from the dead now. They can blame their brother for being too headstrong to take Draxum up on his offer. If he had done that, then he'd still be alive.

Long-term, I think Draxum is really counting on the turtles either dying in the war or coming to understand why he did what he did. If they survive and still hate him after everything is said and done-tbh, he's not too fussed about that. As long as his work is done and Galois and Cass are safe, that's what really matters to him.

Also let's keep in mind that i've only seen like 6 sentai...and only finished 2 of them..So i might not have any clue what I'm talking about when I show you the below picture, because I'm working primarily off of Wikipedia summaries.

For slightly further explanation:

The sentai is the job = having superpowers and getting paid for them. most are about getting hired to be a warrior, especially early on, but I've also included ones where you basically make your own money through the powers (Gokaiger, Kyuranger, Lupinranger.)

The sentai is a 2nd job = primarily adults who would be focusing on their main work if they weren't also called to defend the world against evil or whatever. Usually unpaid, but I only learned last week that the inspiration for this tierlist (Boonboomger) literally has Mira say that being a Boonboomger(/working for the delivery service) is her second job, so I put them here even though they originally were in the first tier. This category is primarily about the drudgery and annoyance of having to work a second job, even if it's something as noble as guarding the Earth (or Japan or your town or whatever) from fuckheads

What's a job? = originally for teams comprised of people who aren't (and shouldn't) be in the job market, whether due to their age or due to their upbringing/place of birth, it's also a bit of a catchall category for teams mostly comprised of jobless/unpaid members.

ALSO I'm only working off initial team formations, aka whoever was in the first ep. If it's a three person team that eventually becomes five, i'm going off of the circumstances of the first three members, and only for how they were during the events of the show (so all the 10 years after, 20 years after, etc don't count in the eyes of this tierlist)

If you have further insight as to which category any of these teams SHOULD be in, please feel free to let me know! There's literally over 48 years of television shoved into a single image, I'm definitely not gonna know the ins and outs of various characters' circumstances. I would not be against redoing this.

Gorenger - Originally hired by The Earth Guard League, these members survive a terrorist attack that kills every other member, before they are recruited to become the Gorengers. Verdict: The sentai is the job

JAKQ - Hired to become cyborgs, the JAKQ team fights against Crime's dastardly deeds and villains. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Battle Fever - Recruited to fight Egos. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Denjimen - Wikipedia says these five may or may not be related to the Denji people (aka the people who all died in the prologue to this series) so essentially they're randos, who all have other jobs according to the wiki, who have been called to defend earth. By a robot dog? Verdict: The Sentai is a 2nd job

Sun Vulcan - wait a sec this is a direct sequel to Denjimen? huh?! anyways these guys are already elite crime fighter-types who are recruited to become even more elite crime fighter-types. Against solar crime! anyways. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Goggle V - Theyre just randos who are also called to save the world by Dr. Hongo. I don't always take '[character x] used to be [occupation y]' as direct confirmation of the second category (especially as all of the previous ones have that) but since these guys clearly weren't doing a lateral job move/promotion, I think it's safe to say Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Dynaman - Literally the plot summary is that they're all inventors, working on other stuff, but they've been forced to work together ot stop the Jashinka empire. Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Bioman - What is with aliens leaving shit for future earth generations to clean up? Naw im kidding, every human in history does that. anywho looks like all of them have other jobs that they could be doing if they didn't have to drop things at the last minute to go be biomen. Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Changemen - Military people become super sentai members. A tale as old as the incarnation of sentai. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Flashman - The unfortunate thing is these five young people were kidnapped as infants to space and though they survived, they ultimately must continue to fight against the threat that initially hurt them, even as they search for their biological parents. the good thing is that these guys probably don't know jack shit about the horrors of capitalism. Congrats to my very first team of Verdict: What's a job?

Maskman - These guys do not seem to be getting paid for all the training effort they have to do to fight off Tube. They had to spend a year getting ready to fight them and it does not seem like Sugata paid them (except for Takeru and Kenta and that was for their racing related abilities, not the martial arts.) While training for a martial art can be a lifelong task…yeah i'm just putting them in Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Liveman - We finally come to the first sentai i've personally watched! (have yet to finish but i am really fond of this series!) That being said, everyone seems way too young and unemployed to care about having a job. (How do they pay for stuff? I dunno man but I think theyre just squatting on academia island.) Verdict: What's a job?

Turboranger - Wikipedia is telling me they are children, and i believe children should not be forced into labour. (also is this the first sentai with all child members? i know some of the other teams have had young members before, but this is the first one that says that they're all minors) Verdict: What's a job?

Fiveman - They are all siblings and they are all teachers! That's kinda fun. It's too bad teachers are unappreciated (hopefully they're not as underpaid in japan?) Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Jetman - Ryu was hired to be a jetman, Kaori is an heiress (not a real job), Ako is in high school and Gai seemingly has no job other than to be gay as fuck. Raita is the only one with anything close to a dayjob. Not enough sway for either of the first two categories. Verdict: What's a job?

Zyuranger - Ancient civilization guys who wake up after suspended animation? They surely do not have jobs. Verdict: What's a job?

Dairanger - This is tough because on the one hand they seem very young. But some of them appear to have jobs. But also I wish they didn't have a job. Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Kakuranger - I mentioned earlier that training for a martial art can be a lifelong task without clarifying whether or not that counts as a job. Primarily this silly little tierlist is about work as paid labour, and whether or not the sentai counts as that or if its members are willing to engage with that aspect of capital. it might just be me overhyping/fantasizing about this, but to me continuing a martial arts style is like preserving a language; it's noble and important and should be done, but capital doesn't always see it as something with monetary value. It's just something that someone feels must be done or something one is forced into. (Just like being part of a sentai team.) Anyways that's a longwinded way of saying Verdict: What's a job?

ohranger - More military guys become super sentai members. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Carranger - What if you went to work and there was an alien who wanted to give you and your coworkers another job? Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Gingaman - Members of a tribe willingly hidden from the modern world. (or at least that's what I'm getting from the wiki.) I think they should be allowed to not work. as a treat. Verdict: What's a job?

GoGoFive - Genuinely wonder what emergency services personnel outside of this family think of them. Literally all five siblings working to save lives? Wonder what kinda drama that leads to. Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Timeranger - Man I feel bad for this Tatsuya guy! What are you supposed to say when future cops force you to help them out with current future crimes? Verdict: The sentai is the job

Gaoranger - Literally the wiki page just says "Kai Samezu was UNEMPLOYED before he was chosen to become Gao Shark" which I think is kinda fucked up. But anyways, since everyone else also had to abandon their lives (and their jobs) to be Gaorangers; Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Hurricangers - These guys are ninjas who don't want to be ninjas, but are forced to be ninjas anyways. Based solely on the main series (and also just the ninjas.) Verdict: What's a job?

Abaranger - The wikipedia page says: Yukito Sanjyo (三条 幸人, Sanjō Yukito): A 21-year-old chiropractor from Sapporo who initially became Abare Blue (アバレブルー, Abare Burū) for the money there is no other mention of payment, getting paid or having a job that I can see (other than Abarekiller formerly being a doctor) Verdict: The sentai is the job (?)

Dekaranger - Dekaranger is another entry in the modern iteration of military guys become sentai members, which is cops/emergency personnel become sentai members. There could be something interesting about ideas of justice and who is capable/allowed to mete out justice in a more serious analysis of this that i don't currently have the ability to do myself. but maybe one day. (Also even this light hearted analysis is primarily focused on paid and unpaid labour so. another tangent for a different day) Verdict: The sentai is the job

Magiranger - Wikipedia says nothing about their jobs, only noting that the red leader is the youngest sibling in high school. My guess is that they're too busy being magicians to have jobs. so by default Verdict: What's a job?

Boukenger - A private company has their own special team to deal with some bad guys who want to capture powerful items called Previous. Verdict: The sentai is the job

Gekiranger - What if you went to your work and there was a weird cat who wanted you to give you and your coworker and some guy who was raised by tigers a second job? (2/3 wins) Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

Go-onger - Everyone had to leave their old jobs to become Gon-ongers, so to me that means Verdict: The sentai is a 2nd job

- yvonne : the yvonne who used to be the leader of torchwood one but from the parallel universe thats in season 2 of doctor who you know the one. she crossed over years ago and took over torchwood by pushing jack off a building. very ambitious ad manipulative always making convoluted plans in her head

- norton : hes only in a couple episodes of season 6 but hes in alot of monthlies/other boxsets before that. hes actually an employee of 1950s torchwood who uses soem kind of time travel hologram to be in the present...... hes a little bitch hes so funny.

tamias and mica yes!!! i wrote a really long rant abt mica a while ago that i can try to find in a sec but. =_= the more i write mica the more i realize they r just dimitri fire emblem. anyway i love them + have actually started writing the story theyre in so im gonna talk about them more!!!! as a preface they are both faeries

mica is the child of two war heroes (luckily both alive) who's on their second year in charge of a platoon of newly recruited fey wingsoldiers. they are Extremely socially awkward when it comes to any topic other of spearfighting + military training, until one day they are ordered to preside over the brutal massacre of a human township for food that the fey dont actually need. this traumatizes them and drives them to discover a cursed spear thats possessed by the spirit of the revolutionary who overthrew the fey government about a decade ago. the spear gives them charisma and emotional intelligence they never had whenever they wield it, and in turn urges mica to seek out justice for the humans who are slaughtered. where im at in the story right now theyve resolved to go infiltrate the resurrected government and kill the queen :3 they have a greyish white carapaced body, white hair and eyes, a vein of shimmering silver through one side of their face, and the wings of a dragonfly, and always favor a spear both in training and combat.

tamias is an interesting character!! he's one of the soldiers in mica's unit and even though his skills with a spear are fairly average, he distinguishes himself by being super outgoing with the intimidating general mica and eventually swearing loyalty to their quest of justice. in truth, when he was a child, his sister was betrothed to the faery princess and lived in the old court, and wrote letters to him detailing her life. though tamias is grown up and his sister died in the fall of the court, he privately holds her childhood faith and idealism up passionately, and wishes to achieve virtuous glory in her stead. he admires mica tremendously, which is a mix of him thinking mica the pure-hearted general would be a valid part of the ideal government he secretly wishes existed, and his optimistic outlook toward life and the people in it. he comes from the woods and has orangey brown eyes and the wings of a finch; also he fights with a bow!

evil queen celestia for this one, rules with an iron hoof, super corrupt and all that ponies in like the upper class mostly those who live in cities are clueless to this like ahhh our beloved majestic queen can do no wrong she is so loving and poggers<333 while regular on the street lower class ponies are struggling to live theyre being like run dry but no one really has any power at all to do anything about it. no one but princess luna. luna had spent her whole life looking up to her sister in the same way the upper class citizens have but one day her eyes were opened to the squalor and shit that ponies outside of those spheres had to endure and she was outraged. she tried to talk to celestia about it convince her to do something, to Change something! help the poor ponies who were suffering below! but celestia shut her down quickly. so luna, faced with no other choice, began to sneak out under the cover of her dark nights, get to know the common folk, and eventually begin to light the spark of rebellion within them. eventually gaining enough support cobbling together a sort of army of her own and with her at the head a war starts between celestia and luna

flash forward however many years maybe hundreds idk i haven't decided lol maybe like however many moons bc moons are ambiguous lol, but throughout equestria its become unsafe to just Live bc. uknow. theres a fuckin war on. the ponies that live in richer areas are safer, places like canterlot and manehattan are still under celestia's rule and are 'protected' and 'kept safe' under her while everywhere else is dangerous to be, these heavily fortified places are Rife with anti-luna propaganda, to the point where shes only known as nightmare moon and they believe The Princess Was Stolen From Us By A Curse Or Whatever That Turned Her Into A Beast!!! lol

celestia has made life miserable for towns and lower class areas, the places are patrolled by her soldiers and Anyone who shows even a glint of disliking the queen theyre punished or hauled off to jail so luna's ranks wont continue to grow

to combat this, hidden villages im calling 'forts' start popping up where ponies can go to hide and live in relative freedom, places where ponies can be recruited into luna's ranks, or sent back to if theyre wounded and unable to keep up the fight

the mane 6 (except twilight) live in the Sweet Apple Fort, founded by the apple family hidden just on the edge of the everfree forest, its set up right by where ponyville would be, applejack and big mac run the place, dash is the head of the guard, pinkie works under her as one of the scouts to keep eyes on perimeter, fluttershy and rarity work in the infirmary, rarity as a surgeon and fluttershy as a nurse, they take in anyone whos running from celestias forces (ive also for some reason got it in my head thats theres an illness running rampant and fluttershy along w the other nurses are overworked from having to take care of any ponies that catch it while also working for a cure, zecora is the head nurse of sweet apple) also trixie and flim and flam are wandering traders they all know the routes of where all the forts are, they trade goods and also information from place to place, for the right price of course..

twilight at the start of the au lives in fortified canterlot with her parents and spike, shes studying in the hopes to become a high ranking scholar under the queen, and celestia definitely keeps her eye on twilights work/progress

the main base of luna's operation is cloudsdale, a lot of the pegasi fled and left the place pretty much abandoned when the war began, but luna managed to take it over right from under her sisters nose and a lot of pegasi returned to help with the rebellion effort, parts of it have been magically altered to allow non winged ponies to get around the important areas up there (uknow like the runway on the race track in the time travel episode that spike was able to stand on its that lol) many pegasi stayed on the ground to keep supporting the forts that took them in though, hence why dash is still on the ground lol

the crystal empire has been completely cut off from the rest of equestria, the amount of refugees fleeing there to escape the war was getting too much for the kingdom to handle so empress cadence reluctantly was forced to shut it off (but dw her and shining do end up together in a side plot me and a friend hav just come up with >:])

because luna and celestia raise the sun and moon, luna has taken to using having the moon out as a sort of like? calling card i guess? that the rebellion is like on the rise like a We're Winning Kind Of!!! thing to let all of equestria know but celestia twists the meaning of it and uses it against her, like i said the cities are Full of anti-luna propaganda and because when luna is winning she makes it night/brings the moon out, celestia tells her citizens that luna wants to bring about an endless night, and thats sort of how the nightmare moon image comes about

the scenario in my head for the first "scene" i guess goes smth like twilight and spike are out late like at a market and theres a security breach, since canterlot is fortified any unauthorised entry causes the city to go into a tiered lockdown so say the exterior wall is breached, theres like 2 layers of walls and the castle that get shut down, and the market that twilights in is p much on the furthest exterior section so she ends up getting shut out and shes like !!!! UHHH!!! but just as shes like LET ME IN PLEASE PLEASE PLE and sees a form overhead, she sees wings, she sees a horn, what alicorn would need to be sneaking around.. oh shit. thats Nightmare Moon. they make Sudden eye contact and twilight and spike are like AAAAA and BOLT in the opposite direction Away from and out of canterlot

from there i think twilight thinks canterlot is under attack so shes like aw fuck i dont think we can go back there for now lets try and make our way to manehattan but they get completely turned around and end up in the everfree where theyre found by a sweet apple scout(pinkie) and brought back to the fort

this au builds on the fanon that claude had a lot assassination attempts as a kid and that people ostracized him for only being half almyran and has fem byleth

when hes like 7? 8? i forget the age cos i havent slept he decides hes sick of the fact that no one will play with him because their parents wont let them, so when he learns about mercenaries, people you can PAY to DO STUFF FOR YOU hes like wow i can use that

jeralts mercenaries frequently visit almyra for work and at this point in time theyre in the capitol

little khalid seeks out mercenaries because hes persistent as fuck and finds them and tells jeralt he’ll pay to have someone play tag with him

jeralt laughs his ass off and is like you don’t need to pay i have a daughter

byleth is like 12 at this point

khalid pays her anyway and because shes 12 shes like yeah ok ill take this

the mercenaries tease her and her dad for years after this because “oh goddess we missed by’s first mission!!” and “jeralt you charged a child” and eventually they start teasing claude over the years too

after a few days jeralt is like “where are your parents” and refuses to let khalid see byleth unless he meets at least one of his parents to make sure theyre being safe with letting their son out and about near mercenaries

tiana finds this whole situation fucking hilarious of course and meets with jeralt and is surprised cos she knew him when she was a student at garreg mach and he was working there

the mercenaries are there for a month and a half before they leave

they come back about two years later and visit and khalid and byleth reunite

they visit frequently and at one point its decided that byleth will spend a year in almyra to better learn the culture (this is when jeralt gets leonie as an apprentice and byleth isnt with him)

when claude decides to go to leicester, he tells byleth and jeralt and the mercenaries ahead of time and drills it into their heads that hes NOT khalid in fodlan, hes claude

they dont see him again until the events of the game start

imo this makes it even funnier when edelgard and dimitri start trying to recruit byleth right off the bat and claudes like “i was gonna strike up a lasting friendship before asking for favors” cos this time its claude being a smug asshole cos he already has that friendship and he knows it

byleth chooses to lead the black eagle house cos she wants to fuck with claude by not picking him

claude eventually is like “heyyyy wanna help me snoop and learn if i can trust the black eagles????” and byleth goes along with it cos she knows his plans for fodlan and wants to help

when she gets closer to edelgard she realizes that maybe she can get edelgard and claude to work together on their goals???? so she starts dropping hints that they could be allies

idk where else im going with this but id have a full recruitment with byleth/caspar and claude/ashe and im undecided on background ships

other stuff: 1. sothis makes byleth give claude messages and gets mad when its not a word for word repeat of what she said, 2. when claude was little he called himself Khalid the Undying cos of all the assassination attempts he survived and the mercenary troupe 100% makes fun of him for it, 3. byleth tries really really hard to make claude and hubert get along and it Does Not work, 4. aromantic bisexual sylvain is the hill i will die on

The two universes just slot together so damn well. You dont even really have to change much about rqg, sasha could have nearly vin's exact arc in rqg world, if things had happened a bit differently, but heres the fusion!

Apophis is the lord ruler.

Zolf and Feryn are analogue to Kelsier and Marsh-- feryn was heavily involved in a rebel chapter known as the harlequins, while Zolf was one of the class-traitor soldiers working for the garrison

Maybe zolf even (probably inadvertently) got feryn caught, and they both got sent to the pits of hathsin, where feryn died and Zolf Snapped and discovered he was mistborn

He gets out determined to bring down the empire, gets in touch with the harlequins

Eldarion is the one who spots sasha-- she's probably a soother who recognizes what's happening rather than a seeker-- and tips off the other harlequins to get her from Barrett

Sasha, of course, is super suspicious of the harlequins as an organization and grows to hate eldarion as she teaches sasha how to blend in as a noble, but then she gets put in contact with zolf once someone realizes that she's mistborn, and him she can accept as a mentor

They also get in contact with azu, a pewterarm who sometimes worked with zolf but who's been in with the underworld the whole time; and grizzop, a seeker who agrees to inflitrate the steel ministry for them

(Curie is our leader-of-rebellion yeden analogue but in this universe the harlequins obviously have their shit together a bit more than the rebellion in tfe. Earheart is probably their Smoker.)

And then, at some point during their planning, they get approached by a terrisman: wilde.

None of them are quite sure they can trust him, since terrismen are by all accounts quite loyal, but he eventually reveals to zolf that he's a Keeper, so they accept him.

Barnes and Carter probably also get recruited during this time and are... Around and helping. Barnes probably helps train the army, idk.

But Sasha, despite hating her lessons with eldarion, ends up being the only one in a position to infiltrate the nobility, so off she and wilde go.

(As kelsier does, zolf is lurking outside protectively. He'd hate this type of thing, but he hates letting those two into that nest of vipers unprotected even more)

And sasha runs across a nobleman who seems nicer than she expected any nobleman to be, a bit arrogant maybe but genuinely quite charming. He introduces himself only as Hamid.

Wilde is the one who tells her he's the unfavored child of the most powerful noble family in the empire.

Sasha and Hamid wouldnt be romantic, here, but she'd get fond of him, and Zolf would be just as uneasy about that as kelsier is about vin crushing on elend. 

Now, I'm not gonna plot out the whole book here, but I'd like to think that since the rebellion does sorta have their shit together, and zolf isnt a magnificent bastard like kelsier is, the plot manages to resolve without him dying, but itd be cool to work in "I am the one thing you cannot kill. I am hope" somehow

Bertie is hamid's asshole nobleman friend, who's just inherited a great house and whose idiocy is very helpful in starting a house war. Zolf maybe kills him eventually.

Hamid is still descended from apophis, though neither of them know. but late in the story, hamid discovers that he can store power in metal...

He knows its not allomancy; hes gone through the whole 'noblemen beating their sons half to death' thing and not shown any allomantic ability; his moment of trust with sasha (paralleling elend's with vin) is when they figure out he's a feruchemist

This maybe happens after zolf has a dramatic confrontation and gets caught instead of killed.

Most likely sasha gets caught as well trying to rescue him, and brought into the castle as in canon, wilde also gets caught as part of the same push and theyre about to be killed by steel inquisitors, and then one of them turns around and attacks the others- grizzop, who the group likely all thought was horribly murdered, has instead been turned into an inquisitor!

Meanwhile, outside the castle, the rebellion has lost heart with their leaders captured, and things are getting chaotic and bloody. But hamid, left in charge of the altahan keep while his family fled, makes a decision and comes out to make peace with the rebels. Azu, commanding the group outside, decides to accept, and together they manage to get the other noble keeps to surrender and take the rest of the city. And then they set their sights on the palace.

Inside the palace again, the steel inquisitors are all dead, but apophis puts the party down without even trying. Sasha uses the eleventh metal and sees his old self, who looks  weirdly  similar  to hamid. 

She puzzles that over for a moment, and then she figures out the feruchemy/allomancy��hack, and manages to kill him, tackling him through a window: a mural of the Deepness, depicted as creeping tendrils of blue.

And as he dies, apophis whispers: 'you dont know what I do for mankind."

And deep below the palace, at the bottom of the well of ascension, a blue flowerbud begins to bloom.

ron and harry are acquaintances,,, like they still met on the train and do get along well but the different house thing really just put a strain on their friendship

especially when harry befriended draco

hermione is also an acquaintance. they don't hate eachother but they also don't go out of their way to seek the other person out.

draco practically has to beg harry to cut his hair. enough said.

harry is on the slytherin quidditch team, but instead of seeker he's a chaser like james. he and draco make the team practically unbeatable.

dumbledore is veryyy disappointed that harry is a slytherin. that put a stopper on his future plans for sure.

speaking of dumbledore's plans, harry is ruthless to the dursley's. he is not afraid to stand up for himself and even fight with dudley if need be.

petunia is also a bit harsher on him because of this, and also because of his striking resemblance to lily - whom she did not have a good relationship with.

when fifth year rolls around, and umbitch is introduced, harry is a part of the inquisitorial squad, however he is also running the da on the side.

he does want to defeat voldy, especially after what happened to cedric.

before cedric died, him and harry were very good friends!! they were put into the triwizard tournament together, they went to eachother for advice and comfort.

because of the da, he becomes noticeably closer to ron and hermione, and there's a slight rift between harry and draco

draco knows whats going on, but because he values his friendship / partnership with harry, he doesn't say anything. not even when umbitch questions him about it.

oh i forgot about sirius and remus

honestly their relationships stay relatively the same as canon. only after they get over their suspicions of harry - with him being a slytherin and close with the malfoys.

honestly theyre just glad he's alive

he looks so much like lily they think it's scary. but theyre 100% grateful the only child of james and lily is alive and well - and actively fighting the threat of you know who.

anyways back to normal programming

because he's the second slytherin prince, basically the slytherin king, a lot more slytherins are in da.

eventually draco joins, much to every other houses dislike.

draco, harry, ron, and hermione are the main keys to fighting voldemort. they all become a friend group eventually, and each have their own roles to play in defeating voldy

everyone supports draco and comforts him when he reveals that he was forced to become a death eater, and the order uses that to their advantage

when the battle comes around, most of the slytherin house is defending hogwarts, even if it means going against their families.

just because they all believe a fellow slytherin- the chosen one at that- is dead, and he was the only one who helped them out of their forced beliefs and they want to repay him for that

after the battle, there is no more house rivalry thanks to slytherin harry, and the blood prejudice is almost completely dropped as purebloods find comfort and even love within muggleborns, vice versa

im gonna end it there just because i feel like there isnt much more to add. but this just makes me wonder what would have happened if slytherin had someone like harry within them to change basically everything? i love slytherins dont get me wrong, but what if a slytherin was in the tournament instead of ced, and they died instead? i think it would have rallied a lot of slytherins against voldemort and against their families beliefs.

Summary:

Techno starts the stream in his house. He talks to chat and about the stream, and eventually starts talking to Phil. They go over the Syndicate book and make some copies. While finding chickens, Niki asks Techno where he is, and says she wants to meet with him. Techno tells her to “follow the suspicious compass.” After a few minutes, she finds their house, and is invited inside. She reads the book and agrees to join the Syndicate.

While talking, Techno spots Ranboo spying on them, and goes outside to ask what he’s doing. Techno asks how much Ranboo heard, and Niki asks if he’s not allowed to know.

Ranboo questions her logic and says that if you want to keep a secret, you really shouldn’t be going around asking if someone’s allowed to know something. Techno agrees, and decides to ask Ranboo if he wants to join the Syndicate. He agrees.

After a few minutes of talking, and a quick sellout timer, they bring Ranboo and Niki to the lava pool, and Phil jumps in. It’s the new way to the meeting room, and a trust test. They go the the meeting room, which looks amazing, and start their first meeting with discussion about The Egg.

Techno says that he’ll talk to people and learn more about the Egg. He starts talking about a new government forming to the West of L’Manburg. They agree to investigate the rumors.

Before they leave, Ranboo reveals that Tommy died, to mixed reactions. Techno’s indifferent at worst, excited at best, and the others are in denial, and need to see a body to believe it.

They leave to go to Snowchester, and start talking to Tubbo. After some conversation, they agree that Snowchester isn’t a government, and Tubbo invites them to see his crater. They’re impressed, and say that they’ll call him if they ever need to kill a god. They go back to Snowchester and the prison, and Techno breaks part of the roof for fun.

Eventually, they make it back home. They tear down the dirt fortress in front of their yard, and then Techno ends the stream.

hello!! i was just curious as to how u grew a following for ur oc blog. i am very very hyperfixated on my ocs right now lmao!! and I wanted to make a blog for them in a space where people will see them and maybe come to like them as much as people (me included. 💖💖) seem to on tumblr. anyway i love ur art and ur ocs and i ship limochi!!!! so much!!!!! wish u all the best 🌺💖🌺

Aaa im glad you like my ocs!!!! Heres some advice i have based on my experience/what worked for me:

- start off doing fanart first!! I would suggest putting fanart and oc art on the same blog, so people can get to know your ocs and are forced to see them if they wanna see more fanart!! Its a good way to get people to see your ocs and get to know them!!

- talk about the storyline a lot!! For me personally, while cute ocs are cute, i care a lot about the story theyre in/context in which stuff is happening!! So even if its just a simple school au or something, give them a lil storyline!! and talk about that storyline/events that happen in it so ur ocs have context and people get interested in the story!! Again, while cute ocs/dynamic is nice, its better and easier to get invested in if theres a story there!!

- talk about them/draw them often!! People wont care as much at first, but as people discover your art and get curious abt ur ocs, theyre gonna wanna see/read more about them, so have enough content and comprehensive info that someone will get a good grip on them/their story in a few posts!!

- (And maybe make a page specifically for them on your blog!! That way when people ask about them, you have a lil starter pack to get people started!!)

- mainly just have patience!! A good motivation is to always remember why youre drawing them!! Dont get too wrapped up in the "oh no, the oc posts dont get a lot of attention" mindset, and just think about how youre slowly building them up, and they make you happy!!! The following will come eventually, dont give up!!

- but the most important point to building up a base is to DRAW YOUR OCS ON THE SAME BLOG AS YOUR FANART!!!!!!! its SUPER hard to just start up a new blog exclusively for new ocs and get a following that way. Much easier to essentially advertise to/recruit from the following you already have from another fandom (and people will definately be interested because your ocs will tend to have the same flair/dynamics that you like in whatever fandom, so at the very least theyll check them out).
