OMG QUESTIONS AHHHHHHh🦈🦈

1. How did you come with your AU? Is it inspired from other AU's or something else?

I was inspired from a lot of works! I think what really made me actually GET INTO rewriting Wish was "Alicia and the Kingdom of Star Light" and "At all Costs" Animatics. At first, I originally was going to have Magnifico and Amaya be like this Gaston/Frollo like characters, but overtime, I didn't see them like that! I think this was because my interpitation of Magnifico in the film was more of the "tragic hero" rather than the "tragic villain". Also Asha at the time felt really boring, and Star felt very hallow, which is why I also had to change that super old draft to something new. Overtime, after watching Owl House, Race to the Edge, Wish...15 more times (watched it I think 30 times total), Hunch Back of Notre Dom, and Epic the Musical, I think some of those aspects of what I liked bled into the story. Example, people comparing Magnus to Odesseous LIKE ITS THE VIBE THEYRE NOT THE SAME PERSON-

Not only that, some parts of the story is actually kinda inspired from personal experience! Mainly with the family part- . . . but nothing less, it more inspired from HTTYD and Owl House lol

2. What exactly happed to Asha's family in this telling?

Well...neither of them are dead for starters.

Probably the only Asha who has a fully ALIVE family 💀🙏

Dahlia, Simon, and Gabo will most likely be the ones to end up in the story, so most of the teens are here.

I have some ideas to how they tie into Asha in terms of how they know her on a personal/co-worker relationship.

Dahlia WAS Asha's friend during the best parts of her childhood, before Asha distanced herself from her. Her arc is best kept secret for story reasons, but I think it is pretty wholesome.

Simon I'm sorta concidering to be some form of body guard while Asha goes into the Market.

Gabo probably will the the "consipiracy person who is actually right" type of guy heh- Also a friend Star becomes close with! (He totally does not teach him how to swear-)

I do want to incorpiate Hal and Bazeema and probably Flazino somehow in the story, just not sure how and what sort of purpose they will serve at the moment.

I still don't have designs for them, but I will soon hopefully :D

Certain ones. It overall depends on execution in the story.

Im a star is removed for obvious reasons.

But as I honestly think about musical instruments tieing with their respected characters, I might have to make completely different songs for almost all of them-

OK for what I mean by this...

The 4 main characters, Agatha, Magnus, Asha, and Star have their respected instruments tied to their character. This is due to because a lot of the music surrounding the characters in classic disney had instruments tying with their character or enviroment. Ariel, for example, as more whimsical or wonderous music, as she sings "a part of your world". Unfortunatly, I found Wish's instruments not fitting to how I interepret the characters and went for a completely different route.

Asha is mainly tied with either the chello or violin in my version. "BUT ISN'T THE VIOLIN USUALLY TIED WITH THE VILLAIN??" Thats where I say "Does it have to be?" I want to shake it up a bit instead of the violin being just used for "EVIL", because it can be used to tell SUCH EMOTIONAL beats. Here is a cover of the "This Wish" I found:

OFC, I would personally add more instruments to the violin cover for it to hit harder. I ironically found a "Epic" (not sure if it is to the Epic the Musical or just Epic version lol) version that hit so hard, I felt like I was ascending:

If anything, I think the gutair is overused in Disney protagonists, Mirabel had one, Moana had one, and probably more. I just wanted to do something different!

For Star, I imagined the whimsical part of Neverland or more or less instruments that give you that feel, like flutes for example. Or hell, more lullaby! Honestly the best example I can give to show what I am going for is something like:

Maybe even the At All costs instumental tying in both the Asha's instruments and His instruments at the same time can hit more different.

For both Agatha and Magnus, I liked how the trumpets were tied to the scenes they were in, like when Magnifico calls for a meeting and the trumpet plays, I honestly really liked that! But it doesn't have to be trumpets alone! I imagine Magnus/Agatha to have both a electric guitar/piano tied to their characters! Trumpets can be used to enhance the song their singing!

Unironically, there is not a lot of villain songs that I know of that use pianos. I think it is because it is more in ties with dispair moments rather than actual villain songs. Doesn't mean that they don't exist, its just uncommon.

Ah both interovernts! My fav.

TKORAT! Asha also has trouble making friends. Its mainly due to her having trouble trusting someone and also some more personal issues (this goes for everyone, not just WG! Asha) I think at first TKORAT! Asha would at first just avoid talking to WG! Asha, until after a while, they have a nice cup of tea and just chat! Def would be Art buddies.

HARRY MY BABY IS HEREEEEE AND SIRIUS IS LIKE ‘hmm I kinda understand why my parents hated me now’ lmao? I guess? Idk if I’m supposed to laugh?

Sirius would scamper out of her bedroom and rub her eyes with her fists and, half-asleep with a tiny yawn, she would reach out for her mother's hand and offer to walk with her. She would ask, on the few and far between nights where her mother actually let her small hand slip into hers, if she could give Regulus a hug, or tell him hello. And, occasionally, with a long suffering sigh like it was the end of the world, Walburga would hold Sirius' hand for a beat, then let go, then let Sirius do it.

OH MY FUCKING GOD. OH MY GOD. OH. MY. GOD.

"Merlin, your tears are contagious," Sirius informs Harry with a croaky whisper, not understanding why her eyes are suddenly streaming, why her chest feels like it's caving in.

But that doesn't stop Sirius from wanting to hold Harry all the time. That doesn't stop her from begging Lily and James to let her come over so she can watch Harry breathe, which is a bit odd, but it's an impulse she can't resist. That doesn't stop her from wanting to feed Harry, or coo at him, or change his nappies and rock him to sleep and gasp in awe when he accidentally manages to grasp his own foot in his fist and fling his baby sock halfway across the room.

I CANT ENJOY THIS WHEN IK ITS A CANON COMPLIANT FIC.

All that is to say, Peter's awkward with Harry usually, unsure how to handle him, scared to hurt him. It's sweet and endearing, but his caution must read wrong to Harry, because he genuinely seems to throw a fit every time Peter tries to have anything to do with him. Maybe they need to bond. They haven't seemed to do that yet.

I just got the good ending on Hades I think. I still have to discover all teeny tiny corners of the story, but I really enjoyed it Spoilers ahead!

Oh my god. Family reunion???? Persephone girlbossing Hades around? Hades apologizing??? Did I just witness Zag laugh for the first time (fangirling intensifies)??? Peak fiction I SWEAR Persephone’s easily one of my fav characters after that final cutscene. YOU GO GIRL TELLL HIIMMM lmao The bond between Persephone and Zagreus is so damn wholesome. Theyre both so kind and sweet to each other I love it.

What I also love is the resolve not being some lovey-dovey fantasy. Things are still sore between the three of them, but the gates have been opened up for some healing and growing back together. Really good stuff!

Also loved to see Hades softening up and actually apologizing to the both of them :O This was a sincere and truthful apology too. What's also impressive to me is the depth the characters have. I see a LOT of mostly uncommunicated/only implied stuff happening that still affects the character's decisions. There’s a whole web to explore and we’re being fed tiny bits!

Persephone ran away because she felt like she didn't belong. Her son as he grew up without her knowledge was trying to run away just like she once was, feeling out of place. When Zagreus found out about her and eventually found her, reaching her trying to catch up to all those years they lost, gave him a reason to fight, a purpose.

As Zagreus is attempting to figure out how to mend things and realized that his father still acts to protect her (which can only mean one thing), he eventually told Persephone that her and father belong back together. This must have struck a chord in her, as Zagreus’ determination (or maybe I should call it despair) to mend a broken family perhaps reminded her of herself. Now with her knowing that her son is in fact alive and well, has proven himself to be kindhearted, emotionally intelligent and stubborn; and also is fighting hordes of undead shades just to see her for a few minutes before being forced back to the House of Hades... there was indeed a sense of belonging she could have--or at the very least, create. She probably realized that it wasn’t just Hades that needed her. Her son needed her as well. Really really badly.

I’m getting teary-eyed just thinking of how anyone goes through so much struggle and pain just to see their mother for a few moments. So she eventually decided to return. It's interesting considering the sheer determination Zagreus had when he told her that they NEED to get back together since they were family. Zagreus certainly has his priorities, heart and values in the right place, much like Persephone herself. She must have realized that as well. It lead to her "sudden" and determined decision to go back to the underworld, that even Zag was taken aback.

Like mother like son.

The Wachowski’s Go Camping

One day Tom woke up with a brilliant idea: to take the family camping!

Maddie thought this was a great idea! It will bring their family together and teach their alien sons about Earth.

Maddie goes to make reservations on her laptop, and Tom sits down the boys.

“Alright, boys. Your mom and I have made a decision.” Sonic suddenly has a look of concern “you’re not adopting adopting another kid are you?? And PLEASE don’t tell me moms pregnant.” Laugher comes from Tom and Maddie who overheard in the kitchen. “No, no, don’t worry about that, Bud.” Tom reassures “We are going on a trip together as a family. Your mother is currently reserving for us to go on a nice camping trip!”

“Ooh camping!! That’s when you go sleep in the woods, right?” Tails pipes up. “Wait- wait- hold on. I have to sleep in the woods again?? So you’re just going to send me back out there?” Sonic stands up, hoping this ain’t the truth.

Tom puts his hand on his sons shoulder “Camping is so much more than sleeping in the woods. We get to pitch a tent, light a campfire, roast marshmallows and hot dogs, fish, and make memories. You’re not alone anymore, Sonic. We’ll never let you be alone again, whether you like it or not.” Sonic calms down a little. He’s so happy he will never have to be alone again.

“So..this ‘camping’. We are fending for ourselves in the earthly wilderness? I have experience in that. I can finally teach you proper combat.” Knuckles says, crossing his arms. Tom chuckles nervously “I don’t think we’ll be fighting anything.. the most threatening thing there is a skunk.” At the word ‘combat’ Tom immediately thinks of weaponry. He turns to tails “Tails. Buddy. You will NOT be bringing any of your weapons. No guns, gadgets, or gizmos. We are going to go mostly device free this trip.” Tails’ ears droop in disappointment “awe man.. what will I do then? I can’t sit there twiddling my thumbs. Can I at least bring my Miles Electric? I want to scan anything new i find. I want to learn more about earth!" Tom sighs "Fine, you can bring the Miles Electric. No holograms though. Besides scanning, you should do whatever kids your age do nowadays."

Tails recoils a bit "I watched a group of kids at the park play pretend with sticks. Why play pretend when I can make things and bring it to reality? Kids my age cant even tie their own shoes! Also, I don't laugh at potty humour." lil man is offended. Tom gives a thumbs up "point taken."

The camping trip goes as follows:

Tom and Sonic are setting up in the tent. Tom places down his bag "y'know, camping is a Wachowski family tradition. My father once told me that camping is a big part of becoming a man." Sonic raises an eyebrow "lemme guess. Your dad told you in this exact campground, on this exact site, in this exact tent?" "No.. the site is down the road. It got booked before we could take it." Sonic rolls his eyes as his father laughs.

Tails and Knuckles go exploring. Tails makes quite the library of things he scans in the wilderness. They locate the European Fire Bug and upon learning from Maddie that theyre an invasive species, Knuckles swears to destroy every fire bug he sees with his fists to restore the balance of nature.

Swimming in a lake is fun for everyone but Sonic who is perfectly content standing at the shore letting the waves roll over his feet. He likes to watch Tails and Ozzie doggy paddle together. its so wholesome.

They manage to get the hedgehog on a floatie, forgetting he is a pineapple with legs, and he soon goes down with the ship. No more swimming after that.

The boys' favourite activity is definitely marshmallows. They love the sugary gooey goodness!

Omg Yes! Janet and Helen are the underrated duo in the book and need to be included in the show. Plus Janet is so funny, she cracked me up so much. The way Helen just goes with all over her antics is hilarious.

I would love to see their family dynamic too. I think the fact that Janet and her husband took Michael in and helped raise him after his father died is so wholesome. I also feel like Janet and Helen being so close is one of the reasons for Michael and John’s bond being so strong. Helen never pitted Michael against John, or put the thought of an unnecessary power dynamic in his head. The way Janet and Helen supported Frannie after John died was so touching. And I also loved how the two of them supported Michael and Francesca and let them make their own decisions. The Stirlings are literally too pure for this world 🥺❤️

The whole breakfast scene was so like "is Maxy gonna sus them out??" to "awww, theyre like a couple and she can't have this with Danny bc nobody supports ittttt" to general wholesomeness and fluff. I loved it so much!

October Faction: First Impressions

MISSPELLINGS BEWARE

I dont understand how Im so fixated on a show that has my birth month in the title, but somehow I am and this is my first look at the show after two episodes.

SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST TWO EPISODE.

First impression:

I'll be honest, when I first saw this show, I was thinking, "I need something to fuel my Umbrella Academy withdrawal and I cannot wait 2 years for another season, this show will have to do."

That was becauuse I saw the show was based on a comic with Netflix doing well with comic/YA novel adaptations I have it a shot.

The show really hits with drawing you in first episode. Like Umbrella Academy, it starts with the death of a kranky old man that everyone hates. Some people mourn others dont but monster dies so thats cool. According to the trailer, the monsters are Octobers and from what I have gathered, they smell like rotten eggs and copper and theyre normal people at first, until they go monster-mode. But Ive yet to know what makes them like this and why they do this HOWEVER instead of getting a mystery about beings Im getting creepy ish AND I LOVE IT.

I love the characters. Especially the older people. Gosh, its sort of wierd to hear an 50+ years old man swearing like a teenager. Its actually kind of hilarious. The kids are kinda cringe but a lovable cringe?

Like I love Viv, but some of her dialouge is wierd to me? Like as a fellow teen, I dont mind when 20 year old act as teenagers. Some the teenagers I have seen around my school have full grown beards already. (Me, holding Hollywood at arrowpoint: GIVE ME BEARDED TEENS, COWARDS.) So with Viv looking like a full hrown adult I understand, but there was one line she said that nearly ticked me off like "MAJOR GROSS." CAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING LIKE THIS?

Or maybe Im too much of a weird normie to be picky about that sort of stuff, I dunno.

Geoff is a charaismatic boy. I dont have too much insight in him, but I know the relationship he has with his sis is cute, especially when they speak to each other in Japanese. It feels super wholesome and like their secret code among the racist, close-minded twicks. Also its nice to see a homophobic brown person. Negitivity doesn't see color when it manifests in people, my dudes, but neither does positivity.

So MY FAVORITE THOUGH, IT HOME BOY FRED ALLEN.

I don't know why or how but seeing that man get HIGH AND DRUNK IN THE SAME EPISODE was golden.

I don't think he's outgrown his 70s life style, and homestly, I hope he doesnt. Despite looking like a slightly younger Uncle Gambi, that dude obviously is not the mature one of the family. More like the baby of the family. Or the harden teen? I dunno I stan this man.

Theres nothing out there that I dont particually like about the show, YET. Theres alot of mystery happening, plot wise so Im digging that. The tone of the show is very creepy, but it seriously cool and has a tint of edgy. I love the yellow coloring when it does flashbacks inside a building, and when the flashbacks occur outside there is no tint on it.

After reading through all of this I just remembered something I forgot the plot reminded me of. Remember Spy kids? Remember how furious and comfused the kids were when they found out their parents are spys and work for a secret company? Yeah, that sort of thing is getting a bit old for me, but I love the aspect of the parents hiding something from their kids, even though desperately wished that this show didnt have that and the kids are aware of their parent being monster hunters.

But alas we have OCTOBER FACTION.

What do you guys think about the names Dustin and Darcy for my protagonists in Let's Go?

Cos i really wanted to play the co op mode thing by myself, just so i can pretend this role in the plot is filled by two siblings and have a bit of fun roleplaying that. But i dunno yet how the co-op works and whether you'd be able to customize the avatar of the second player or if its just the default trainer? Or can you only play co-op if you have two separate games? Im planning to buy the other version anyway once i get more money, so it could be fun to play my first version with sibling one and then the second playthru is sibling two's turn to shine!

Oh and the whole reason i wanted to do this is cos i wanna try out the customization features to make some ocs now that there's no competitive online stuff unless you pay a subscription fee (LOL NO THANKS). Like..i always felt like i HAD to make my character me in xy/sumo/usum, otherwise its like lying online? But of course i cant actually make me because theres no nonbinary option or even remotely ambiguous outfits for either gender. And you cant have wild hair colours while i dye my hair 24/7 irl lol. Its silly cos like 95% of the gym leaders and other characters ingame have anime hair colours yet the player has to be normal? So yeah i cpuldnt really enjoy making this innacurate defanged version of myself yet i didnt feel like i was allowed to just make up a new character either. Closest i could do was give myself white hair like my old trainersona when i was 12, lol. I mean i guess thats my 'real hair colour' underneath the dye right now, if you think about it that way?

Yeah! I think sibling trainers could be a good and unique way to handle a rival! Like having them be your sibling already establishes that rivalry. But it can be a soft and nice rivalry! I wanna go with that fun version rather than the full on angry exaggerated sibling rivalries you often see in kids media. Like i know that some people legit dont get on with their siblings and some people can even have a very gary esque full on rivalry thats sorta 'love to hate' or like..tsundere pretending you hate them. But personally i never had experience with that, i can never relate to those 'tfw u hate ur sibling and theyre always an asshole but lolll u love them anyway' posts. I only got to live with my little sister for a little while due to the catastrophe of abusive parenthood that was my childhood, and i lost contact with her forever when she was very young so i doubt she'd even remember me. *sigh* But like i don't think i only love her so much because i miss her! People say newborns and toddlers are the most bratty so like you'd think if i was gonna ever find her 'annoying' i would have done it back then. I was always just mega proud of her and whenever she'd be 'bratty' i'd be cheering her on and trying to protect her from mom. And when she'd try and pull pranks on me or practise play-fighting or whatever i was just like 'lol thats legit funny' and taking play-falls so she felt better about herself. Like we didnt have much power in that household so i felt like encouraging her pretending to be a wrestler would help her feel like she had some sort of control in some part of her life i guess? And just i wished i was allowed to roughhouse and run around and be all 'unladylike' and just enjoy BEING A KID when i was a kid, yknow? I always had legit fun being with her and legit enjoyed it and was legit proud and legit never annoyed. I just dont understand 'yeah she's annoying but i love her anyway'. I was only ever her rival as a play-rival to help encourage her to like.. Enjoy the things she enjoyed. Feel like someone else cared. I only ever acted like 'ha ha baby stuff yeah sure i hate hanging out with my sister" cos i thought i was SUPPOSED TO. I always felt so guilty doing it and so dissappointed cos id rather hang out with her than be a boring stereotypical teen tbh. I dunno, maybe this isnt typical for siblings and its just a sign of how badly we were raised? I was just real fuckin lonely and absolutely loved having a family member who loved me for the first time since my grandma died. Same reason i always used to act all 'i am too cool i totally am not soft for my lil sister' around my lil sister's dad. I really wanted him to love me too! I used to say swear words at him cos i thougjt he would thibk i was Cool And Adult?? I have soooo many cringe moments from that phase of my childhood. Man it hurts to think that i never actually did get to become that positive influence that protected my sister from my mum and let her know she was loved. Cos i was sent to live with my dad when she was like 5ish? And never saw her again and now im too scared to try and reach out to her again because 1: she probably doesnt even remember me, 2: theres a chance she believes my mum saying i was some horrible asshole who abandoned the family, 3: even bigger chance that contacting her could mean my mum finding me again and big fuckin risk of further abuse. Plus the awkwardness of introducing my trans self when she'd remember me as her sister and all. Sigh! All i can do is hope that her cool dad eventually got custody of her, and that he didnt turn out to be a secret bastard like when i met my own dad. He seemed good, but then again i was just a lil kid and my dad seemed good at first. Sighhhhhh...

Anyway the point is that whenever i write siblings i'd rather write 100% unapologetic super loving love cos its wish fullfillment for me. This is also why in/cest shipping is a massive beserk button for me, good wholesome family relationships are REAL FUCKIN IMPORTANT and how DARE you corrupt that shit! Some people would fuckin KILL to have that wholesome family!!

Anyway lol thats why i'd like a Wholesome Rivalry for these sibling ocs! Like they challenge each other to contests along the way just for fun, and they react all 'wow my sis is the BEST' when you beat them, so hard feelings at all. And you dont JUST do rival stuff but also sometimes just hang out and have fun cos you missed each other. And if anyone threatens your sibling then THAT is the only time you see the Serious Sibling Power! Rival moments: ha ha lol bet ya cant beat me ooo im a scary villain LOL I CANT KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE HAHA! Giovanni punches your brother: *stony cold death glare from hell as tricksy prank sis turns into an unstoppable vengeance engine* Oh, but also the only other time they'd be serious is in their final battle together! Like most of the 'rivalry' is just competing to make the adventure fun and to help each other get stronger. But if sis/bro ever actually legit said they really want to fight to find out who's the best, and its like..important to help their self confidence, then i think bro/sis would respect that and go all out. Taking a fall and letting them win would be the most disrespectful thing of all! Oh, but i do think there would be one kind of battle like that during the story? Like in one of the more low stakes faux-rival fights the sibling actually does try and let you win, and the challenge is to try and lose against all odds. High stakes super failure battle!!! Imagine the evil team in the background like 'wtf' as these two run the most aggressively slow race of all time! XD

Oh and i kinda thought about different personalities for the two of them based on who you pick? Like i did like that aspect about brendan/may in RSE compared to other 'unpicked option becomes rival' characters in later games that didnt even have one personality let alone two. It just sucks that the personalities they decided to give them were 'female rival is super self concious and thinks youre better than her because youre a boy' and 'male rival is super ego and thinks he's better than you because he's a boy'. Boooo!

So instead of that the personalities i was thinking for these two would be less sexist lol. Male sibling Dustin is basically Wally so far? I need to develop him a bit more to make him a bit distinct, i mean its not like every single shy dude is identical. I'm thinking maybe mix him with all the wasted potential in Brendan? Like in the game they slightly hint at him having the ONE non stereotypical trait of liking cute teddy bears, and that made me think about how much better his whole plot would have been if it actually criticized his sexism and said that he only behaves that way cos he's overcompensating for being bullied for being 'feminine', yknow? And then in the manga they actually DO write him as super feminine, and even as a contest star who loves fashion and dressing up his pokemon! But then GAHHH they present it as some sort of fuckin 'character flaw', like he's shown to be selfish and superficial because of it. And the backstory is that him and the female protagonist used to be 'normal' until a traumatic event. Brendan was a Natural Fighting Prodigy until he saved his female friend from a wild pokemon and was so traumatized that he never wanted to fight again, while she wanted to learn to fight so she'd never need to be protected again. But this is not only presented as Wrong Ways To Be Gender but also like.. Fighting their natural instinct which still comes through?? Like male protag hasnt fought in YEARS yet whenever he's forced to fight he's just magically better at it than female protag who's been practising all these years to become his equal. Ha ha silly girl you can never achieve that! All you get is this patronizing 'well if you just tryyyyy girly things im sure you'll like it' plot and then you get rescued by him in the end because OF COURSE you do. Sigh! I cant believe they made me hate that pairing even more than the games did! So yeah i dont really wanna write Dustin as a jerkass who's secretly got synpathetic motives of internalized homophobia/sexism, cos i feel thats a plot very specific to my perceptuons of Brendan and id basically just have to make Dustin a clone of him and he wouldnt be able to shine on his own merits. Instead i'm just thinking of writing him as a 100% sensitive soul, and he still faces predjudice for not being that bigoted idea of an 'ideal man' but really the fact he doesnt bow down to their demands proves that he's the bravest person here.

And then I'm thinking maybe the female sibling Darcy is the older one and is a bit "gary ish"? Like eitjer way you still have a friendly and loving siblingness, but she's a bit more of a sass who is tsundere about admitting she loves her bro. But i dont think she's the cold or grumpy sort of tsundere, more like a trickstery tomboy? Bombastic loki jock sis! She can only be a bit abrasive with her bro cos she wants to teach him to be tough even when she's not there to protect him. But sometimes she can mess it up and make him feel like he has to change his personality in order to be tough, rather than letting him know she supports him in being "unmasculine" and just wants to help him find the confidence to stand up to people who bully him for it. Like she feels like she is 'weaker' than him in the sense that she worries too much about what people will think if she expresses her real emotions, yknow? Like theyre both suffering from toxic masculinity! He's suffering from the standard form where men who are too 'soft' are beaten down into that mould. Ans she's suffering from the problem where 'masculine' girls feel like they have to be '100% masculine' in order to be allowed to be themselves at all. Like back when i was a kid and before i came out as trans i always used to try and pretend to like sports ans like..cliche macho shit where you Cant Admit You Care About Your Friends and also i wasnt allowed to like ANY feminine things at all. I had to either follow the stereotype of femininity entirely or follow the opposite stereotype, i wasnt allowed to just reject stereotypes and like what i actually like. So yeah me realizing i wasnt really a girl has led to me embracing more 'girly' things than back when i thought i was one! So i think Darcy would have a similar arc but like..the cis equivelant? Just finds people who arent such judgmental pricks and stops having to conform to either of those stereotypes in order to keep fake friends who dont really give a shit about her. She can have a plot about both forced feminine and masculine stereotypes being equally limiting, rather than that shitty 'being masculine is a prison uwu every woman will be happier embracing her love of makeup' shit. That dominant narrative just made me feel like i was somehow wrong about myself whenever i didnt like 100% Of Sports All The Time, i must be somehow girly if i liked even ONE girly thing yet i needed hundreds of proofs if i wanted to be masculine. And like i wasnt just allowed to be neither! I wasnt allowed to like parts of both! I wasnt allowed to BE GODDAMN TRANS!!! So yeah i dunno if i'd go whole hog and make this character a trans man or a nonbinary person tho? I think she's just actually a cis girl who happens to be sporty and brash and likes a lot of 'masculine' fashion and hobbies. And she's just been made to feel self concious about it, as if she cant possibly REALLY be that unless she likes Every Single Boy Thing and wins at Every Single Challenge. Does anyone else remember that shit too? The girls have to win Every sports game against the boys in order to be 'one of the boys' but if you lose even one of them it somehow proves that you're inferior. Even though the boys lost 50 billion games to you and that doesnt prove theyre inferior! Like man she has sooooo many 'gary rivals' in her school life, thats why she loves going on this adventure with a kind brother rival who actually respects her! So her resolution would just be her staying the same but being more confident about it and saying fuk u to those fake friends. Same as her brother's plot, just they both face different specifics to the way this sexism affects them, yknow?

Oh but yeah when i did finally learn about LGBT stuff and realize i was trans it was Big Amazing cos even in the rare stories about Its Okay To Be Yourself it still left me feeling weirdly empty when the girl decides that yes she does wanna be a girl in the end. So i get that these plots might come off as queerbaiting if i write them badly? I need to make sure to make it clear that these characters 100% want to be seen as this gender and its just other people being fuckfaces and trying to define what their gender has to mean. I think maybe i'll try and mitigate this potential misunderstanding by adding different sorts of lgbt content. And, well, also cos i just want lgbt content in all of my stories because i am lgbt, of course! I'm 100% sure that Darcy is gay, and i think also maybe possibly Dustin is trans? Like, his plot is about being mocked for being a 'feminine' boy, but its also even more personal for him because he's a trans boy and he feels like he needs to change his personality in order to pass/he isnt really real because his personality doesnt fit the stereotypical image of a man. Like if you'd looked at the two of them back when they were identical twins, you probably would have expected Darcy to end up being trans if you were the sort of person who believes those basic ass stereotypes about 'boys who play with barbies and girls who play with trucks'. Or i mean maybe its the other way around and Darcy is a trans girl who still has a 'masculine' personality according to stereotypes? Or even both of them are trans and both face being told that they arent real because they dont fit the perfect stereotype of a trans person according to cis perceptions? Or maybe i'm overcomplicating things with all of this and it'd just muddy the message i guess. I might just keep it to them both being cis but also both of them like girls. And i can always apply my trans and other LGBT headcanons to other characters along their adventure.

“Are you sure, Jin? All of your family would have to fly out if we get married there.”

“And your family will have to fly to Korea if we get married there. And besides, a beach wedding in February sounds amazing, doesn’t it?”

Jasmine giggled. “Well, it is certainly us.”

“So, what do you say?”

“Ok. We can get married on Coogee beach.”

“Zelda, what was the thought process behind this hairstyle?” Esme asked, motioning to Zelda’s space buns as she sat down next to her friend.

“Simple. My hair isn’t in my face when we are running around the airport.”

“But…you look like a child.”

“That I do. But it’s worth it for comfort.”

“Oh, come on, Esme, her hair is cute. I wish my hair would stay in buns like that,” Yuna commented as she shoved her carry-on in its compartment.

Zelda laughed. “I’m glad someone likes it.”

“It’s going to be odd to be landing somewhere that it’s sunny,” Rosaelia commented as she sat down.

“You’re telling me. We had a foot and a half of snow in Chicago when I left last week,” Zelda replied.

“What’s that in centimeters?” Yuna asked.

“About forty-six.”

Yuna’s eyes widened.

“Did you say that you’re staying in your own room while we’re here?” Rosaelia asked Zelda as they walked through the airport.

“Actually, Tae mentioned something about me sharing with someone else, I think.”

“Do you know who?”

Zelda shook her head.

Tae ended up being the one to pick the four of them up from the airport. He gave them a cheeky grin as he abandoned his seat and stepped out of the car.

“I think I’m gonna need some help fitting all of those bags into the back of the car,” he laughed.

“Sorry. I overpacked,” Rosaelia admitted as she dragged her three bags up to the back of the car.

“Oh, we never would’ve guessed,” Esme rolled her eyes playfully.

Once the bags had all found a place in the back and everyone was piled into the car, they were off.

“How have you all been?” Tae asked.

“Busy,” Rosaelia replied.

“Bored,” Yuna admitted.

“I’ve been fine,” Esme informed him.

Tae glanced at Zelda.

“You know how I’ve been.”

He grinned. “Did any of you hear about what happened in England last month?”

That caught everyone’s attention.

“No? What happened?” Esme asked.

Tae leaned back in his chair as they stopped at a light. “Nothing much. Jimin just tripped a waiter when we were at a restaurant. Ruined a girl’s dress.”

“Are you supposed to be telling us this?” Rosaelia’s brow crumpled.

“Sure. Who else would I tell? We all know the media would go absolutely bonkers if they found out he was within five meters of a girl.”

“Dang right they would,” Rosaelia rolled her eyes. “Those people need to stop living off of gossip.”

That evening, everyone headed to Jasmine’s aunt’s house for dinner. She and Jasmine’s mother were cooking. Everyone had managed to cram into two cars to head over. Besides Jungkook, who no one had been able to find since everyone had gotten into town.

“He said he’s fine, and he’s got his bodyguards with him, so I think he’s ok,” Namjoon commented as he checked his phone.

“No one knows where he went?” Esme asked.

“Not that I know of.”

“That’s a little weird,” she furrowed her brow.

“I’m sure he’s fine,” Tae butted in. “He just has something to do before dinner.”

“And do you know something about this?” Esme asked.

“What? Nope. I know nothing.”

Esme side-eyed him, and Tae gave her an innocent smile.

It wasn’t long before they arrived at Jasmine’s aunt’s house, and Jasmine was excitedly standing on the porch to greet everyone. Tae slipped out of the car before anymore questions could be shot at him, and Zelda was quick to follow.

“Jimin, do you know where Jungkook is?” Esme asked.

“Nope. I thought we’d see him at the hotel.”

“Hmm.”

Esme asked around once they got inside, and no one had any clue where Jungkook was. Yoongi hadn’t even known he wasn’t in the other car, which was a surprise. Yoongi was generally the one who Jungkook told anything, so the fact that Yoongi knew nothing was odd.

Esme entered the kitchen to find Jin, a young man, and two older women running around the kitchen.

“Oh, hey, Ese! Glad to see you got in safely!” Jin greeted as he sauteed some vegetables.

“Do you know where Jungkook is? No one seems to know where he is. Well, except Tae, and he won’t tell us what’s going on.”

“Ah. That’s a secret.”

“You know where he is?”

“Well, not exactly. I have a brief idea of what he’s doing, but I’m not really sure. He’ll be here soon.”

Esme clicked her tongue. “All right. Guess we’ll just wait for him to show up.”

Jungkook finally made an appearance right before dinner was ready…with a girl. Jasmine greeted both of them before leading them inside. The room went dead silent when everyone saw the girl standing next to Jungkook.

“Everyone, this is Astrid. She’s my girlfriend.”

“I knew it!” Tae exclaimed. “This is why you didn’t want me telling everyone you were going to the airport!”

“Tae,” Zelda nudged him. “Were we supposed to know you knew that?”

“It’s fine,” Jungkook laughed. “I just needed him to keep quiet until we got here.”

The girls were all quick to introduce themselves to Astrid, and then it was time for dinner.

“Where has Jungkook been hiding you?” Esme asked Astrid.

Astrid laughed. “Me? He’s been hiding me in France, I suppose.”

“France? You’re from France?” Zelda exclaimed. “That’s awesome!”

“You’re from America, right?”

Zelda nodded. “Born and raised.”

“And you,” Astrid nodded towards Esme. “England?”

“That’s right!” Esme agreed.

“Ohh, Tae?” Zelda turned toward her fiancé.

“Yes?”

“Astrid is my roommate?”

“Yep.”

“Ah. Ok, this explains a lot.”

“Hey! This isn’t fair! You get to know her before the rest of us do?” Esme frowned.

Astrid laughed. “If you feel left out, you can always join us. If that’s ok with Zelda, anyways.”

“I haven’t had a sleepover in years! It sounds awesome!” Zelda grinned.

“Honestly, I never expected to be in Australia. Especially not for a wedding,” Astrid admitted. “And we shouldn’t have let her send us home with all these baked goods. I’m going to get fat.”

Zelda laughed. “Honestly, I was hoping they’d get married here, but I wasn’t going to give my opinion. So, how’d you and Jungkook meet?”

“You’re going to laugh.”

“It can’t be as bad as how Tae and I met.”

Astrid raised an eyebrow. “I was walking – or, running, I guess – out of a coffee shop, and ran straight into him. He replaced my coffee, and I thought that was the end of it. And then, it happened againthe next day! He gave me a napkin with his number on it before he left. We started talking, and after a few months we decided we were meant for each other.”

Zelda smiled. “That’s cute.”

“What about you and Tae?”

Zelda groaned. “Ok, so my best friend is a singer, and she invited me to go to the Grammys with her. At some point, I realized he was staring at me.”

Astrid gasped. “No! Not staring!”

Zelda laughed. “After that day, my best friend kept asking if I liked him or something. I didn’t. Eventually, she tricked me into meeting him again because they shot a music video with her. He and I started talking, and I guess it got a bit personal. We didn’t see each other for months after that, though. My friend invited me to a party they had after their concert, and he finally asked for my number. We’ve been together since.”

Astrid smiled. “Well, I feel like that’s a bit more realistic way to fall in love. Over time.”

Zelda flushed. “If I’m being honest, I stalked him for months on Instagram before we even talked the second time.”

“Well, you gotta do your research before dating a rich, famous guy.”

“Touché.”

“Hey, do you think Esme would want to head down to the beach?”

“That depends entirely on whether or not she’s spending time with Namjoon.”

“Doesn’t hurt to ask, right?”

“Hey! I did not agree to having a pillow fight!” Jimin exclaimed as Tae assaulted him with a pillow multiple time.

Tae grinned for the split second before Jungkook smacked him in the head with a pillow, causing him to fall flat on his back.

“Do I need to call Zelda?” Jungkook asked.

“Please. I’d quite enjoy spending the night with her,” Tae smirked as he sat up slightly and leaned against his hand.

Jimin rolled his eyes. “You should’ve shared a hotel room with her, then.”

“She said no,” Tae grumbled.

“Guess you’re stuck watching anime with us then,” Jungkook grinned as he tossed his pillow back on the bed.

“Great.”

“Hey, cheer up. It’s only two more nights. Then we can all do whatever we please.”

“Oh, that makes me so happy,” Tae replied sarcastically as he leaned against Jungkook’s shoulder. “Fine. How many more caramel tarts do we have?”

The next day was Valentine’s Day, so mostly everyone split up to spend the day with their significant other. Except Jimin, who decided to tour on his own since he had no one to spend the day with.

“Yoongs, did you see these dresses?” Rosaelia asked as she held one of them up in front of her. “I’ve never seen a pattern like this before! I love it! We have to get these!”

“Try them on. I’d like to see what they look like.”

Rosaelia smiled, heading to find a dressing room so that she could try the dresses on.

“Ok, what do we think about this one?” she asked, stepping out of the dressing room and spinning around in the dress.

Yoongi smiled. “You look great in it!”

“Awesome! Should I try on the two-piece?”

He nodded. She returned to the dressing room and emerged in the other dress a minute later.

“I might have to resize the top if we buy it,” she muttered, tugging it up. “It’s a bit loose.”

“It’s pretty, though. If you think you could fix it, you should get it.”

“Should I?” she smiled. “It is pretty. You’re right. I should get this one, too.”

“Now can we go to lunch?” he pleaded.

“Yes, my starving husband, we can go to lunch.”

“I think you should try this one,” Esme said, holding up the mini cupcake.

Namjoon took a bite of it cautiously, chewing for a few seconds before swallowing. “Eh. Not the best one we’ve tried.”

“You’ve said that about all of them!”

“Ok, well, they’re getting progressively worse!”

Esme laughed. “Ok, I’ll admit the banana didn’t go with the cashew. Not really sure what they were trying to do there.”

“Eugh. That wasn’t nearly as bad as the blueberry and chocolate.”

“Yeah, I really thought that one would be a lot better than it was.”

“We’re not doing cupcake tasting next year for Valentine’s Day.”

“Deal,” Esme nodded.

“Hey, you’ve got something on your lip there,” Namjoon muttered, leaning down.

“What is i-”

Esme was cut off by Namjoon pressing a kiss into her lips.

“My lips,” he grinned.

“Ah. Of course. Still a flirt after nearly nine years.”

Yuna stepped out onto the balcony. Hobi was leaning on the railing, staring out at the ocean.

“Hey, you should put your swimsuit on. Let’s head down to the beach.”

“What? Hanging out in the hotel isn’t good enough for you?” Hobi smiled at her.

“I want to swim,” she frowned. “Come on,” she tugged on his sleeve. “Let’s go. We won’t be able to swim once we’re back in Korea.”

“Ok! Let’s go get ready.”

They found themselves walking along the beach fifteen minutes later as the sun began to disappear behind the city. Hobi reached down, intertwining his fingers with Yuna’s.

“You know, it feels nice out here. It’s warm,” Yuna smiled as she dug her toe into the sand momentarily.

“Yeah. Nice change from Seoul at the moment,” Hobi laughed.

“It’s nice to have a break from wedding planning,” Yuna admitted.

Hobi let out a gentle ‘ha!’. “I agree. Tae and Zelda need to wait a little while longer until they get married.”

“Oh, cause December isn’t far away enough from now.”

Hobi chuckled. “No, it’s too close. I don’t want to see another tuxedo for at least two years after tomorrow.”

“Wow. You’re that tuxedoed out?”

“Definitely.”

Yuna laughed. “We should go swim.”

“But then we’ll have to shower!”

“But if we don’t swim, then we put our swimsuits on for no reason.”

“That’s true.”

“Come on,” she grinned, dragging him down to the water.

The two of them splashed around a bit, wading father out into the water.

“Ok, I’m not going out any farther,” Yuna giggled as she ran her hands through the water. It had risen above her waist now

Hobi sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist before staring up at the sky.

“Hey, you can see some stars.”

Yuna followed his gaze, smiling as she saw the stars.

“Wow, I don’t recognize any of these.”

“Yeah, me neither. I wonder which ones make constellations.”

Yuna smiled, turning her attention back to his face. The moonlight was reflecting on his face now that the sun had fully set. She reached up, wrapping one arm around his neck before laying her other hand against his cheek. He looked down at her then.

“You’re so beautiful. You know that?” she murmured.

He stayed silent, but a shy smile creeped onto his face. She ran her fingers over the short hair at the nape of his neck. A few moments later, she pulled herself up so that she could meet his lips. His eyes fell shut, reveling in the kiss for the few moments before she pulled away.

“Is there anything you’d like to do tonight?” she asked quietly.

Jasmine rolled over in bed as she heard a knock on the door.

“Hey, Jasmine? You need to wake up. Your wedding starts in two hours.”

Who was at the door? What time was it, even? Jasmine squinted at the clock. Oh, wow. It was ten already. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes as she yawned.

“Jasmine?”

“Coming!”

She pulled the door open a moment later to find Zelda standing at the door.

“I was voted as your wake-up knock this morning,” Zelda smiled. She held up a bag. “And I brought you breakfast.”

“Oh, Zelda, you’re a darling! Come in. I need to get changed really quick before we go.”

Zelda stepped inside, closing the door behind her as Jasmine dug through her suitcase.

“Is Astrid awake?” Jasmine asked.

“Barely. She’s probably fallen asleep. We were up pretty late last night with the guys.”

Jasmine laughed. “We really should’ve scheduled the wedding for tomorrow.”

Zelda grinned. “Did you and Jin do anything yesterday?”

“Oh, yeah. Lots. I showed him around the city, and then we got dinner at this fancy sushi place. It was a lot of fun. What about you and Tae?”

“We went to the beach for the whole morning. You can probably tell. I’m a bit pink. Then we did some window shopping. We spent most of the afternoon sleeping, though. And then we went out with Jungkook and Astrid for dinner.”

“That sounds awesome.” Jasmine reappeared, tugging one of her socks on. “We need to get going. You might want to wake Astrid. Don’t want her to miss the wedding.”

Zelda handed Jasmine her breakfast. “I’ll go get her. Meet me downstairs in ten minutes?”

At the venue, the girls were introduced to Jasmine’s other two bridesmaids. Then, it was time to get ready.

“Does anyone want caramel slices? My mom made them for us to snack on while we get ready,” Gabby, Jasmine’s cousin announced.

“You know, Astrid said that these are going to make her fat, but I’ll gladly gain weight to eat these!” Zelda exclaimed as she took three caramel slices.

“I need me about ten of those,” Jasmine informed everyone before taking five for herself.

Zelda and Yuna worked together to tie up Jasmine’s hair, which was quite the task with the texture of Jasmine’s hair. Soon enough, everyone was ready to go, and Jasmine was practically buzzing with excitement.

“I think you’re the first bride I’ve seen who wasn’t extremely nervous,” Yuna commented.

“I’ve waited for this day since I was fourteen. There’s nothing to be nervous about. Just excitement,” Jasmine grinned. “Heck, I could’ve gotten married in my pajamas and have been happy.”

“Let’s be honest, Jin would’ve agreed to that,” Esme laughed.

The ceremony was far longer than had been intended. Jasmine and Jin had both cried so much that they had had trouble getting through their vows, and then their tiny ring bearer had decided he didn’t want to give them their rings.

Eventually, they made it to their reception. The dancing tuckered everyone out, and they were beyond ready to eat. Jasmine’s best friend, Olivia, was eager to give her speech.

“Everyday that Jasmine mentions Jin, I laugh when I think about how they met. I just can’t imagine meeting my high school crush all these years later – in a concert venue, of all places! – and rekindling that relationship. You two will always amaze me. I hope for a love story as grand as yours.”

After Jungkook had given his best man speech, everyone dug into their dinner.

Once Jin and Jasmine had successfully escaped their family and friends, they headed to their hotel.

“I’m thinking we should go swimming tonight. Spend our night on the beach. What do you think?” Jasmine asked as she pulled all of her hair pins out.

“You’re kidding, right?”

“Yes, I’m kidding.”

“Does that mean I can help you out of this dress?” he asked, leaning over her shoulder to meet her gaze in the mirror as he rested his hands on her hips.

“Oh, you’d like to help me with that, would you?” she glanced up at him. She brushed her finger under his chin, grasping it ever so lightly. “You’re too impatient.”

He laughed, leaning down to press a kiss into her lips. “I am not,” he muttered.

ALL OF HIS MEMBERS!! like whenever the situation is tense he’d do something stupid to make them all laugh and the way he talks about his members??? its SO heartwarming to see him love them all so much?? i mean they practically raised the kid, like jackson and mark especially bc foreign line stuck together as trainees as TRAINEES do you hear this shit they have stuck together for YEARS before got7 debuted and they still love each other to death AMERITHAIKONG IS FRIENDSHIP GOALS IM SOBBING I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH like you know they’re soulmates when one gets a laptop thrown at him but he still looks up to him as a hyung alkjhlkgahsdfgs ill never live that down sorry its too funny,,, also like he may be a fucking idiot at times but i dont think enough people take him seriously?? like he has this mature side to him and its so nice to see that even though we all joke that he has no chill, he does actually have it when necessary?? like!! in that recent thai interview and he talked about his mum oh my god he loves his family sO MUCH I AM SOFT literally like he bought his mum who biases jaebum lmfAO a house bc they grew up under a tin roof WHAT AN UPGRADE and he bought his sister a car and like hes so modest about his achievements too like in that one hard carry episode where he and jackson in the back of a taxi at 4am had to take turns boasting and trying not to be modest, he had to brag about his achievements, this episode was so memorable to me bc only one of them was actually about him??? he mentioned that something along the lines of 8,000 fans went to the airport in thailand to greet him but then he mentioned about the concert tickets that sold out but it was GOT7′S concert like he had to mention his group bc they achieved that TOGETHER and like he then said he bought a house for his mum and a car for his sister like he was meant to brag about how much money he had but instead he said the good things he did so generously for his family im??? so soft??? his love for his family is SO SO SO precious (like him) and when he talked in that thai interview i was talking about earlier (i apologise that i keep changing subjects so quickly this entire thing is so messy) he talked about how his mum is the reason for his dreams to be a performer and how he wanted to provide for his family and dAMN HE DID!!! but like omfg hes so passionate about what he does??? its so so so inspiring to see, he went to korea at age FOURTEEN without knowing the language, the culture or really anything bc he went to rain’s concert and was so inspired and learned all his dances and songs and like it kinda reaches out to me bc like??? he started off as nothing but a random international fanboy and LOOK HOW FAR HES COME IT GETS ME SO EMOTIONAL!! and his mum kept on telling him that its ok if he didnt make it, that he could come home if it didnt work out, she’d welcome him with open arms but he kept going!!! bc he loves music!!! and hes so talented!!! and hes just so passionate,,, and so determined too!! such a hard worker!! like i dont think most of you realise just how intensive trainee programs are??? like he was fourteen and training 12 hours a day, he said it was from 10am to 10pm every day, and now he gets even LESS sleep like hes constantly talking about how tired it is like let the poor baby sleep oh my god he deserves rest but apparently thats too much to ask for in the kpop industry,, but no matter how tired he is he always has tons of energy on stage and off stage to make everyone laugh and keep everyone in high spirits and like he’s actually a ray of sunshine, a precious angel, a blessing to this world oml im rambling but thats fine that was the point of this lmfao i just!!
