Uzi- Autistic, clearly

She has daddy issues but not nearly as bad as in canon(Khan doesn't leave her for dead in this au she "sacrifices herself") she's still super emo. She has a more scene style. Her, Lizzy and Doll are actually kinda close, they become even closer(become friends) after the series ends, cuz, yknow, Uzi saved the world? Anyways, she's dating N, and she doesn't care that he killed her mom(I mean she does but it only affected them for like, a year, so I guess a long time, they actually broke up cuz of it but they were both fuckin miserable and Nori slapped some sence into her cuz she saw how N looked before killing her and he looked so guilty ((wow the run on sentence go crazy))) So yeah they're the dictionary definition of a great not toxic couple

N- very sweet, very loving good boy. He has PTSD, obviously. It's like, really bad tho. Nightmares every night level bad, and that's how him and this aus Khan bond. They trauma bond, yay!! He's very in touch with his emotions, and he's a bit of a push over. He's a very big people pleaser and has a lot of trouble placing boundaries. Uzi helps him with that when they start dating, so that he doesn't get hurt all the time

V- once you crack her shell, she's a very shy and sweet person, not like her personality back at the manor, but like a mix of her current canon personality and manor. C PTSD, she remembered more than N about the manor before Uzi unlocked those memories. She also has nightmares a lot but Lizzy and Doll help her with them. Nothing cuddles and wholesome movies can't fix. At least for a little bit.

J- bless this girls lonely heart. She's still greiving Tessa(she's alive in Uzis mind just no one knows yet) she ends up breaking down after her and N get into a mother fight after he tries to be there for her for the like, 10000th time. When she comes back to the bunker with N, everyone, understandably, is very suspicious of her. But when she does get there, for the first few months, she's just a husk of her old self. Shes quite and agrees to do anything because she just doesn't care anymore, the moment she starts to truly feel at home is, ironically, during her rock bottom

TW FOR SUICIDE ATTEMPT

V is the one that finds her, she had gotten worried when she noticed all the uneaten oil in front of Js room. When she comes in she sees J with her rifle to her head.

V tackles her and starts interrogating her, asking why and is very worried. J, seeing this, just breaks, she begins to bawl her eyes out, crying about how much she misses Tessa, how she was the love of her life and can't live without her, how she wants to be with her, how she can't take it anymore. V and J spend the next 3 to 4 hours crying together. V had texted N telling him what happened and to get his ass over there now. So, of course he does,when he gets there he sees them hugging and J crying and he joins them, bringing the oil so when Js done crying she can eat. She had been starving herself toAnd this is when J truly sees how much people care about her, which, in turn, makes her cry even harder. When she's done crying N feeds her the oil and they cuddle together for a while. She's a lot better now but she's in for a very big surprise

Cyn- that's right baby! Cyns alive! Because I felt so SO bad for her that I had to have her live in my au. She still talks the same, but she's very sweet and innocent, her and Uzi have an older/younger sister relationship. Her and N reunite in the cutest way, they're both crying and hugging super tight. V and J are tearing up as well. I have more headcannons about her on my drawing of her lol so wait for that lol

Tessa- I don't have a lot of headcannons for Tessa, so just go to the hashtag Died and got over it and take pretty much all the headcannons of Tessa from there and that's how it is here pretty much lol(I'll find the @ I promise)

Thad- he's a straight ally and single(looking at you @rory-multifandom-mess) he's Lizzy's younger twin brother and his personality is pretty much the same. He's friends with the wrong people. He's a very big sweetheart. He's a Femininominon. A green flag icon. The best football player on his team(he isn't a dick about it tho) I don't have anything else for him but I do have a drawing for him so you'll have to wait on that as well lol. Srry

Lizzy- Thads older twin. She's dating V and Doll(you can't stop me) she became friends with Uzi after the show ended. She's a Y2K girlie. She is also very sweet when you tear down the asshole popular girl walls. She's quite traumatized from the show and sometimes has nightmares about it. She doesn't tell anyone but people found out(*cough cough* V and Doll *cough cough*)

Doll- she's dating V and Lizzy, she was never revengeful of V, as her dad survived the attack(so did her mom but literally no one knows that yet) she's still very blunt and has a flat affect, she also doesn't show her emotions a lot, but from the unfinished comic I already posted, when V and Lizzy get back to the bunker after the canon ends she breaks down. She thought they were dead. Uzi and her are cousins(not really but their dads are best friends so they view each other as cousins) I don't even have a last name for her yet so you'll have to wait(again) for the drawing to see more headcannons of her)

Khan- WOOO WE'VE HIT THE JACKPOT BABY! Autistic. He's half DD in my au(and he has the solver with the back hand things that we see nori having at the beginning of episode 7 I think, either 7 or 6 idk) idk how hes part DD yet, my thoughts are either forbidden love or cabin fever failed experiment. I'll probably make a poll of that, see which ones you all like the most. He's very insecure about his body, he used to get bullied back in high school because, no matter which choice I make, he gets to experience high school(with the cabin fever experiment he went missing for like, a year, and then escaped, he tried to get nori and yeva but they told him to go or he'd get killed, so he left, he still has a lot of pent up guilt from that) he's also a trans man(YIPPIE) but he's also curvy, hence the insecurity. He's a good dad and actually helped with the fight with the AS(he fought j as a distraction and effectively got his ass beat((Lizzy laughed at him, he also laughed, he's a dumbass))) so he had to recover from that, also, in my au, him, the teacher(I'm naming him Lewis) and nori are dating, so when Lewis is hanging for his fucking life Khan flies down and saves him lol. Also, he does get to reunite with nori, as everything that happened to her in the show happens in my au, but them reuniting happens differently, through Uzi(yay)

You and he learn how to cook together because he's so used to just buying all his meals. There's a lot of burned chicken, but also a lot of joy and laughter and making out in the kitchen. (That's why it burned.)

He's very touch starved. When you first start dating, he flinches every time you touch him. It takes some time, but eventually he can't keep himself from reaching for your hand or laying on your shoulder. He's heavy but you're fine with it.

He wants to make all the plans so you don't have to worry about anything. Just trust him to know what's best.

Loves to just walk with you in the woods.

He's surprisingly knowledgeable about furniture and helps you decorate your house or apartment.

He wants everyone to know that you belong to him. He purposefully nuzzles into your hair to leave his scent on you. He loves giving you his jacket too. All the werewolves in town know you're taken.

Despite his bravado, he's constantly worried that you're going to leave him. He needs regular assurances that you love him.

He gets jealous easily. Your guy friends might wanna watch out. And you might have to have a long talk with Peter and get it through his head that they're not a threat to your relationship. Once he's 100% sure, this calms down. But he still doesn't like men fliting with you.

You help him rebuild his relationship with Malia and he loves you even more for it. The three of you sometimes get together and do dinner. You're there to console her when she and Scott break up and you have to keep Peter from going to LA and trying to kill Scott for a third time.

He constantly brags about having you to Derek and anyone else who will listen.

He will listen to you rant about work and the people that bother you. Then he'll offer to take them out. You assume he's joking, but sometimes, if they really upset you, he totally means it.

He will show up at your work and pester you. It's distracting, but you love seeing him.

His name for you in his phone is "My Queen".

He gives great skin care advice and has a wonderful sense of fashion. Also knows all the best hair care products. He loves to take you shopping for new stuff and buys everything. He gets broody if you won't let him shower you in gifts.

Sometimes when he's emotional, his eyes will turn blue and he will turn away because he's worried about scaring you. When you kiss him despite his fangs, he knows you truly don't care. You're even kinda into it much to his amusement.

If he upsets you, expect a huge vase of flowers. If you're not a flowers person, he gets chocolates or some kind of jewelry. He knows he can't buy your affections, but that isn't going to stop him from trying. He will eventually give a proper apology, but he hates admitting that he was wrong. Consider yourself lucky if he does.

He's the sweetest thing on the planet. His tired blue eyes and sad smile make you melt every time.

He lights up every time he sees you.

He lets you pick where you go to dinner, though he usually surprises you with a home made meal. This man can cook and you love it.

If you have any family, they are wary of him at first, but then they love him. He's so respectful. Your mom wants you to marry him tomorrow.

He has some trouble sleeping and can often be found sitting on his back porch, having a beer at night. If you show up, he finds it easier to get some rest.

He will always do his best to keep you safe. He might even train you how to fight if you ask.

If he does train you, you like to distract him while sparring by kissing him. It works every time.

He often has Scott and his friends over for dinner. You love having so many fun people around.

In a perfect world, Isaac comes and visits often and once accidentally calls you mom. Chris thinks it's hilariously adorable.

So I've had a thinking about mom!robin and child!sanji au and was wonder what are some of your head canons! Maybe robin picked up a 7-8 sanji when she was 16 or 17. This could maybe fit under nico!sanji but where robin actually adopts sanji. Feel free to make as fluffy or as angsty as you want I'm just looking for ideas :)

The first ever Nico!Sanji was them staying together and working in Baroque Works together and she did find him around eight. Instead of sending him to the Baratie to work. However I love the idea of Nico!Sanji and Robin just having a child/parent dynamic of overprotective Robin who found Sanji lost at age eight, starving and alone and she's not in much better shape at age seventeen. Sanji is so small and fits so well into Robin's arms and Robin who hasn't had companionship in so long, he holds her hand or one of them as they walk in deserted parts, when they camp for the night Robin wraps him in many arms and holds him close to her.

I feel like Robin would rarely let Sanji out her sight for years to come, between the Navy and whoever may or may not be after Sanji she likes to play it safe. Sanji is eager to please and follow her every word. She sings to him and tells him stories because she will not lose him like she lost everyone else. Sanji lets her, the first set of soft touches that he's had in years. He still flinches sometimes, involuntarily. It's not that he wants to, afraid he'll offend her or hurt her feelings. That she'll leave him, he doesn't want her to leave him, he likes her a lot! She's so nice and loving and caring, like his mom! He accidentally calls her mom about a year after they start traveling together and when Robin starts crying he thinks he fucked up and apologizes and says he can go! He's been alone before it's fi-!

But she cuts him off and pulls him to her and just says she's happy, hasn't been this happy in a very long time and that she would like it if he wants to keep calling her that. He nods and says he would like to, if she really doesn't mind. They stay sat together for a while and he does get used to calling her 'mom' more often than not. She loves it and smiles so fondly whenever he does it. They're inseparable basically.

When they make it to Alabasta, Sanji is fifteen and Robin is twenty-four, the coup has already happened and they begin to work for Sir Crocodile. Miss All Sunday and Mister Prince working together. It weirds some people out this teenager is calling this woman who definitely isn't actually old enough to be his mom 'mom' and she goes along with it and smiles so fondly to him. Crocodile doesn't bat an eye, the kid cooks well enough to make him not care and Miss All Sunday is on the hunt for Pluton so he really doesn't care as long as he gets results. If anyone does try to pick a fight with Sanji they do have to deal with Robin though, it doesn't happen often but Robin is known for being protective of him.

Sanji still cooks, he cooks for all of Baroque Works when he sees them or they're around and not off fulfilling their duties. He still wants to find the All Blue but he fights with his hands and he listens to Robin as she explains the difference in the poneglyphs to him. Their both multilingual and he knows how to read some of the language the poneglyphs are written in but not all, it's a tricky language to learn to read let alone put together. The other members of Baroque Works tend to tune them out when they start speaking other languages they don't understand, Crocodile sighs in irritation every time it happens.

Sanji is sent to Little Garden to help Mr. 3 ahead of the Strawhat's arrival and he finds it rather interesting that they're helping the princess of Alabasta, finds it hilarious the princess had to get help from pirates but then he watches them take down Mr. 3 and well, it would be nice to have company on the way back to Alabasta so he offers the Ever Pose in exchange for a lift, and he offers to cook for them as well. Only to be roped into the shenanigans of Drum Island and shit is his mom going to be pissed when she finds out he broke his fucking back kicking these idiots out of the way of a fucking avalanche. He's going to be in so much trouble, he's going to get glared at and talked to in several different languages oh no.

When they're in Alabasta, overthrowing his boss for pete's sake, he avoids Crocodile because he'll be in trouble otherwise, great trouble, but Crocodile falls and Alabasta is free. To keep appearances he pulls a gun on Robin on when she boards the ship, him having been fully invited into after Drum Island. She smiles sweetly at them and during the night, during Sanji's watch after the galley is cleaned, she finds him and they speak in a language only they know. She strokes Sanji's hair as he leans his head on her shoulder. No one really clocks it as they sail together, at least not until after Ennies Lobby and Water 7. When they get the Thousand Sunny and Robin is free for the moment and wants to live and has the freedom to live now. I feel like Usopp stumbles upon them sleeping together, just passed out curled up around each other and he fucking tells everyone their dating. Despite the visceral reaction from most of the crew. Robin and Sanji are asked about it at lunch the next day, Franky wiggling his eyebrows and then bawling when they say they're not an item, far from it. Everyone does notice they are close but can't figure out how close. They hear them talking in the other languages and falling into a mix of languages that no one else can understand.

After Thriller Bark and all the parties Sanji finds her and it's rare, he's taller than her now after all, but she pulls him into her lap and cries quietly as she pets his hair. He doesn't say what happened, but she knows he's keeping whatever promise he made to the swordsman but still. She doesn't begrudge him, never, not after what happened with Cipher Pol and Aokiji. Not after working in Baroque Works for a warlord. When he apologizes later she shushes him and makes sure he's calm and the tear stains have calmed before he leaves. She's so soft, still creepy but he's creepy right back. But then everything keeps going wrong and they're separated on Sabaody. The pacifistas, the quick vanishing and appearing in a random place, rushing to get back together, only to fail, only to see the note in the paper, only to rely on whisperings to see how their crew is doing. Ivankov and Dragon seem to be questioning of the relationship between the two of them after their meetings when they have tea with Koala and Robin. Robin simply says Sanji is her son which makes Koala lose it as Iva looks confused and Dragon shrugs it off because yeah, sure.

When they all come back together she checks Sanji over and nods approvingly in private, fussing over him publicly would only lead to the crew questioning them again when that wasn't the case. They could just come out and say it but they don't need to, not right now. Their convictions towards each other are strong and unyielding. Which is why Robin also goes to WCI, she doesn't dissuade Nami from going but does ask that she give Sanji grace. Nami gives her a questioning look but agrees hesitantly. There's so many questions going through her mind but she leaves without asking any, Luffy and them promising to bring Sanji back to them. When the crew is headed to Wano it's Usopp who asks Robin why she asked Nami to give Sanji grace for leaving. Robin clarifies that it's not for him leaving but what he's going to do while gone, what he feels he'll have to do to protect the crew. Zoro asks why she didn't go if she cares so much and Robin says every parent must let their child make mistakes, she's no different and that if she goes she will not listen to Sanji or Luffy and it could end just as badly as Ennies Lobby if she had. When everyone, Heart Pirates included, ask what she means when she said 'parent' she laughs and says she and Sanji's relationship is much more of a mother and her son than siblings, he was so small at age eight that it was easy to fool people while they ran and it became less of an act over time. Franky asks what Sanji would do while he's gone and Robin answers that she wouldn't put much past him, they were in Baroque Works for a while and have been running from the Navy for most of their lives so there's not much they wouldn't do to protect those they care about. Everyone just stares at her and Robin laughs lightly to herself and bids them all a goodnight and goes to bed.

When they're all in Wano again and Sanji is concerned about what Robin will do to him but she simply hugs him and says she's happy he's safe. Sanji nods and hugs her back and Franky is bawling saying it's SUUUPER to see mother and son reunited after everything that has happened which makes the rescue team balk at them in surprise and start questioning them. It's a long and awful conversation because Sanji didn't really tell Robin about his family either. When he's done though Robin simply hums and says it's a good thing she wasn't there because she would have defied his wishes because hell hath no fury like a scorned mother.

- I love the idea that Regulus used family heirlooms in order to make promise rings for both of them because his ancestors would absolutely hate it and sometimes he feels like he has to prove that part of his past wrong and keep pushing back to remind himself that who he was brainwashed to be is NOT who he is. It it actually Lily who suggests reusing heirlooms to give them a new meaning as an idea and he decides to do it and use them as a way to promise to spend his life with them. He's a romantic, what can I say! (in fact, in the longfic I'm planning, Lily having the black signet ring is a recurring feature with quite a lot of weight!) despite Regulus being the one with the promise rings, it is Lily who proposes (it is ALWAYS Lily no matter who I ship her with) and then because they're all for equality in their relationship it's James who announces the wedding and asks Lily's parents and Sirius/Narcissa for permission to marry them. I just love married jegulily idk

- Regulily watch the most disturbing shows together in the middle of the night to the point where James has to go to bed early to miss them or he can't sleep. Eventually they convince him to stay downstairs and just listen to music in his earphones while laying across their laps but he refuses to watch the screen. During the day he's the biggest, toughest guy imaginable. Nothing can phase him at all. But after midnight? ABSOLUTELY NOT. He almost turns into a completely different person. It is not helped by the folk tales Fleamont told him as a kid to mess with him, not realising just how much they would stick with him in years to come.

- James cooks dinner, Lily makes dessert, Regulus cleans. You just know Lily makes the best apple pie with the lattice top and everything 🙏 James can do pretty much anything well, and Regulus is decent at both but doesn't really enjoy it so he does all the washing up because he likes the way it gives him time to stare into the water and think

- not much to this one but I love them being T4T4T SOOOOO much! They're the transest trio ever. They just are sorry, I know because I am trans so I'm allowed to spread it around wherever I want 🤷‍♂️

- Lily gets really warm and stressed under too much physical contact. If they're all cuddled together she'll be on the outside with Reg's face in her neck and one of James' hands on her waist but most of the time she'll only pick one of them to cuddle up to so she doesn't get overwhelmed. Regulus is always in the middle, he's touch starved to the point where refusing to hug him is like kicking a puppy

- In an au where their all raise Harry together, he's the biggest mummy's boy. There is NO way Lily isn't his favourite parent. It's always 'where's mum?' 'If mummy was here-' 'I miss mummy' she pretends to feel bad for them both but secretly loves it

- James falls asleep ANYWHERE. It's not rare at all to find him curled up on the floor while sorting laundry or snoozing in the passenger seat on a short drive. He's also a very deep sleeper, so they'll just give him a little kiss on the head, take a photo for the growing collection there saving for his 50th birthday, and cover him with a blanket.

- James and Lily go to concerts together. It's one of their favourite types of date. James and Regulus go to the cinema (Lily got them into films and they have never looked back some) and Regulus and Lily adore going to the theatre. They all like going to museums together.

- for their first anniversary, Peter got them a little orange tree that everyone expected Lily to care for the most bc she'd always been really good in jerbologj so they're all surprised when it becomes Regulus' little baby with only the best fertiliser and plant food that he forces James to get whenever he passes through Diagon.

- Every morning Reg and Lily sit and do the sudoku together

- Whenever James spends time out of the country, he'll bring back something nice for each of his friends and partners (it's his love language!) he puts so much thought into into each one that sometimes he'll dedicate an entire day of the trip to finding the perfect gift for each person

Very long overdue, but here are some whale brothers headcanons.

-they both like... Hate the indoors. It could be pouring rain outside and they'd just sit there in raincoats (and sometimes they don't even wear them) getting soaked. They both really love doing extreme outdoorsy things. Norway goes on massive hikes and does mountain climbing regularly, Iceland goes base jumping all the time, he could literally camp outside for a month straight no problem.

-they both have set rules for who is allowed to touch them, when, and how. Fantastic, right? Only they never tell anyone. One moment, they're completely fine with something and the next it's like you committed a cardinal sin.

-whenever they're in any social situation, these two are sticking together like superglue. They literally do not get separated until they're back in the safety of their social shut in den... I mean house.

-they both have very fast metabolisms. That means Norway is almost always constantly snacking. While Iceland on the other hand, doesn't really... Realise that eating is something that he kinda has to do until he realises 'damn... I'm like... Starving'

-Norway is very passive aggressive, Iceland is blatantly aggressive. Whenever these two are in a fight, it's pretty much a death sentence to be anywhere near them.

-I know I mentioned this before, but I feel the need to say it again. I know a lot of people HC Norway as not being very expressive, but I think he's the exact opposite. If he's thinking something you're going to see it on his face. Iceland has a similar issue, but it comes in the form of intense RBF.

-Iceland is a huge code switcher and it confuses the heck out of Norway. Whenever he's around the other Nordics, he talks very casually, regularly dropping in curses and generally using some slang. Whenever he's around other nations he doesn't know very well he's using a very calculated tone, a much more elegant vocabulary and he tries to keep any personality or emotion out of his speech.

-their message logs (regardless of which app) would literally make no sense to anyone who isn't them. Not to mention they send each other some of the most diabolical images ever. It's funny because sometimes it'll be something sweet like a picture of those cute little flowers that grow out of concrete and sometimes it'll be a screenshot of an ugly video-game monster. They do not give a shit how weird their texts are.

-Norway has absolutely unhinged ways of sitting on a sofa. One of his favourites being sitting literally upside down with his fit sticking out of the back of the sofa. Iceland on the other hand just kind of.. Hides in a corner because people = Ew.

-speaking of not liking people, Iceland is actually an Ambivert. Sometimes he likes hanging out with people and sometimes he'd rather claw his eyeballs out with acid coating his hands than even make eye contact with someone. Norway hates everyone equally and at all times.

-Norway uses Iceland as a kettle, cooler, microwave, etcetera because as I've mentioned before, Iceland can change his body temperature at will, so Norway will just hand him a tepid mug of water with a tea bag in it, and Iceland would just heat it up for him. It's the same for when he wants to freeze something quickly.

LockJaw is a very head strong jawbreaker. Aside from literally being able to crack a person's skull open with her own - she takes little shit from anyone including her darling... But she is far more lenient with them. Once upon a time she was a slightly kinder and patient person, but after losing part of her face she is less accepting to strangers. At her heart, LockJaw is fiercely loyal to those she deems worthy of her faith and to harm them is to bruise her - and you really don't want to do that.

LockJaw is far more caring of those around her than she lets off. Her cold nature and initial hesitance to touch/interact with her darling is because she's afraid of her own strength. She has more control than she realizes, but there's always that what-if. As her bond with Darling grows, Lock will wrap her hands in the softest materials she can get her hands on. When they lay in bed together, LockJaw will put a marshmallow pillow beneath her shirt to support them better. She softens her voice and rarely yells if they are the sensitive type, and is considerate enough to tells them to look away before she spills fresh blood.

LockJaw is extremely touch starved, but tries not to let that side of her show. She also treats her darling like they're made of glass. Does all the heavy lifting, grabs everything from higher shelves, demands to know why they need a knife before she gives it to them when they're just trying to make dinner- even carries them on her shoulder if they complain of the tiniest aches or pains. If her darling desires their own free will or to go for a walk without her glaring everyone down, all they really have to do is hold her hand for a while or give her a smooch on the cheek. This also stops her from punching a hole through someone's face and calms her down like a flame to a fire when enraged.

Scary Dog Privileges - LockJaw is the type to hover in the background whenever her darling is out and about or talking to someone. One wrong move and she will remove her darling from the situation. Even something as small as using a tone she's not fond of will get someone thrown across the room. Did I mention she's a big motherfucker? I'm still playing around with her height, but she's well over six feet and has the muscle/strength to back up her warnings to folks who refuse to listen to her.

Darling both improves and worsens her behavior. She gains back some of that patience she lost in earlier years and tries to use her words more than her fists, but make them cry and it's lights out. She'll "apologize" if there was a misunderstanding, but by tone alone it's easy to pick up she doesn't mean a word of what she says.

this is a very good question actually. i think what the reader likes about each boy would depend on the individual experiences shared between all of them.

with Heat, i think the reader would like how eager he is to please them. Heat is so desperate to have his affections received that he'll do anything for the reader, even if it means breaking some rules and giving them gifts he's not supposed to buy. falling into this twisted love with Heat guarantees the reader with more safety and stability than with the others, despite the fact he is definitely the most delusional. the reader would also like that Heat naturally runs hot and lets them hug him when they're cold, as well as that he waits for them to initiate physical contact and doesn't try to make it sexual unless the reader wants it to be.

Killer's main selling point for the reader would be how easy he is to talk to. despite his long list of insecurities and his hatred of talking about his own feelings or emotions, Killer is extremely observant and knows exactly what his crew is feeling or thinking. he doesn't like to gossip and tends to just keep anything he's told to himself unless he feels it's a threat to the crew. so whatever the reader tells him, stays between them because he likes feeling that they have such a special bond that the others will never understand or relate to.

Killer also knows when punishments are going too far and because he has the most authority on the ship since everyone listens to him, Killer can step in at any time to help the reader without them getting in trouble. the reader would like how dependable he is and would begin to fall for him because of how he treats them with such respect and care after each punishment, making sure they're fed and looked after properly.

with both Heat and Killer, the reader would like how similar it is to having actual boyfriends. both boys are clearly insane and have trapped the reader on their ship forever but during the quiet and peaceful moments it's easy to pretend like this is a proper relationship with communicate, gifts and physical affection.

Kid and Wire however, are significantly harder for the reader to find something to bond with them over it or to feel anything positive because of how cruel and abusive both boys naturally act.

on the surface Kid and Wire both like to pretend they don't care about having their feelings reciprocated and that the reader refuses to touch or look at them unless forced, but secretly it really upsets them. they are both incredibly touch starved and just want to be liked by the person they love. when the reader first 'joins' the crew, neither of them give a shit about receiving affection or building a relationship. but when the reader starts giving Heat and Killer affection as the Stockholm Syndrome begins to take place, Wire and Kid naturally start to get jealous of the others.

suddenly Kid wants to have quiet moments in his workshop with the reader where they just cuddle up together doing their own things and wants the reader to sit on his lap whilst he creates them pretty gifts from scratch. so he starts putting in the effort to find out what they like and figure out what their hobbies are. it doesn't matter whatever the reader's interest might be, Kid wants to know it and will happily sit listening to them talk about it for hours. however, he's not going to approach this properly and will basically just yell at the poor reader to tell him about themselves out of the blue. so unfortunately for Kid it's going to be a slow process until the reader fully starts to experience the effects of Stockholm Syndrome for him but when they do, the reader would like how Kid prioritises whatever they have to say and takes whatever they say (only about their hobbies/themselves) on board.

the reader would also become more drawn and attached to Kid if he ever showed his more vulnerable side, which is usually reserved for Killer, to them.

with Wire, however, it is a lot harder to find things to like about him. he's just too mean and horrible to the reader, there's nothing to really like about how he constantly bullies and ridicules them. but that doesn't mean it's not possible to experience Stockholm Syndrome for him! it would just take a lot longer to begin developing compared to the others because he's so confusing and difficult to get along with. it wouldn't happen until the reader starts to notice just how sweet and caring Wire can be towards his crew members in the relaxing moments. suddenly the reader begins to hyper-fixate on this soft side that Wire has to others and starts putting in some subconscious effort to please him.

it would take them a while, but within a year of living on the Victoria Punk, the reader begins to develop an understanding of Wire and becomes increasingly happier to play along with his cruel games for the rare moments where he's so gentle towards them. whilst this want to be liked by the other would probably be one sided for the reader, Wire would increasingly grow eager to trade a nicer version of himself to the reader in exchange for the things he feels he needs. if giving the reader privacy or the opportunity to cry in peace makes it so they take his cruel version of affection, then he's happy to make the trade. therefore, the only instance i can really see the reader beginning to fall for Wire is through how he openly treats others around him and that is what they would like the most about them.

overall, like you mentioned, Heat and Killer would be the ones to obsessively give gifts of things deemed valuable to the reader for any affection they can get due to being so incredibly touch starved and lonely which results in a very quick Stockholm Syndrome scenario. however i also think that Kid would also give them gifts that he made for affection, but this would only happen if he had begun to want to have his feelings reciprocated by the reader/when he decides he is also in dire need of affection and would only result in a Stockholm Syndrome scenario with the reader if he made the first move to be more gentle. Wire however is too mean to truly ever give proper gifts since he doesn't really care about being loved back by the reader but his versions are the most valuable when remembering how mean he is.

♡ lisanna is very much on the same page of "idk what we are but I like where we are." they decide to just... keep doing what they're doing. when there's new developments (juvia gets a nosebleed when she sees lisanna in a swimsuit, to her own horror), they talk it out and set boundaries for what they want and don't want to do (juvia very, very shyly asks if she could give lisanna a kiss on the cheek.)

♡ also, at some point, juvia and lisanna move out of fairy hills and get an apartment together. mira objects to this only on the grounds that she won't be able to prevent them from starting kitchen fires with their baking attempts. she ends up over more often than not, and lisanna feels her chest swell with warmth at seeing her big sister and her best friend get along so well.

♡ erza, I think, is a big romantic at heart, but the thing is she does that to everyone. she gets a lot of money from s-class jobs, and there's only so much she can spend on herself or new sets of armor. eventually, team natsu starts finding beautiful bouquets of flowers on their doorsteps. someone dares to tell erza that men don't like flowers, and suddenly every man in fairy tail is getting a monthly bouquet of roses.

♡ erza also misses a lot of "romantic" cues. she wouldn't be able to tell if someone was flirting with her if her life depended on it. gray and natsu, the little shits, take full advantage of this to mess with the poor suitor. I also think erza is demi, so she really has to have a strong emotional bond with someone before she considers having sex with them. she likes to take care and be taken care of, so she wants it to be with someone who knows her inside and out.

It's about a bunch of characters arguing about who's fault it is that everything's gone to shit before blaming it on the witch. Shanks was attached from the get-go, and they very quickly became attached at the hip.

• fun fact: pirate captains had jurisdiction to officiate weddings for the crew. Shanks and Buggy got 'married' when they were about 9, thereabouts. Roger officiated it. It was really cute and simple and the boys both still have their rings from that day safely tucked away.

• Buggy is gender non-conforming, and the Roger Pirates were all really chill about it after the first few teasing events got shot down either by Roger himself or Shanks going nuclear on them. When Red first saw Buggy presenting more femme, he absolutely started blabbering, blushing as bright as his hair, and then proceeded to trip on his own feet, flail, and smashed his face into a wall. Buggy had to take him to Crocus for the nosebleed. He broke his nose. To this day, Buggy still won't let him live it down.

• the breakup in Loguetown goes a little differently because I simply Do Not Subscribe To That. They still had the moment in the rain. They still argued. Buggy still ran off. But Shanks when after him. It was them against the world, a notion hammered home with their sudden forced independence as the remaining adults on the crew left them behind in a town now dyed in their grief and agony.

Buggy could have hidden his presence away so thoroughly that he was but an invisible wisp in the world, but he doesn't. Shanks finds him. Drops to his knees at his back. Wraps him into a hug, face buried in dripping blue locks. There is silence between them.

"Why," Buggy chokes out, a million questions in one.

Shanks clings, breathes deeply, and sobs. "I'm scared." It's an answer to all of them. It's an excuse. It's a cry for help. It's a confession.

Buggy takes his hand, tilts his head back, rain running rivers down his face. He tells himself that's the only thing dripping on his cheeks, denies the burning in his eyes. "I am too."

They sit there together in the rain for what could be minutes, hours, days. They find comfort in each other, their edges raw and jagged but still theirs. The places they used to fit don't mesh as seamlessly anymore, but they're still there, still each other's. New, but not lost. Changed, but not finished.

• Shanks and Buggy still get on like cats and dogs, but they keep in touch. They aren't necessarily co-captains like they'd daydreamed in their youth, not enemies as they'd feared in their adolescence. They are allies, their crews parallel and cooperative. The Redhair Pirates are the Brawn. The Buggy Pirates are the Brains. They have their own specializations, their own strengths and weaknesses, but it is never hidden that they are more than allies, sister crews in all but name. The Red Force welcomes Buggy with open arms, and his word is as powerful as Shanks' on the deck and in the winds. Likewise, Shanks has equal authority with Buggy's crew and ship as well. It's a carefully kept secret.

• Marineford occurred and was the first meeting between them for a few years. Buggy, nerves shot, exhausted, half starved, and still impacted from his time as a prisoner in Impel Down, latches to Shanks, so Safety, to Home like a starfish. Of course, most perceive his version of latching as antagonism, but everyone who Knows just knows.

• they curl up together in the captain's cabin, and Shanks has Buggy strip bare so he can look over all the wounds and press kisses and care into pale, freckled flesh. Eventually he wraps Buggy into one of his robes, angles his body to hold the other in his lap, and sits on the bed as a silent sentry. Buggy, finally safe, finally warm, finally able to rest, simply shatters, sobs wracking his body as he clings and wails and panics, finally falling from survival mode and baring the weight of the entirety of his ordeal. Shanks holds him through it all.

• once things die back down, once both are little more functional, a little less clinging in codependency, they have a discussion. The Navy knows. The world is changing. They have options to choose from and choices then to make. They opt to stop hiding their alliance, raising the curtains for the final act as it were. Only nobody makes an explicit announcement, neither are flying each other's flags, and the behaviors remain mostly the same. They "stop hiding" and yet still incredibly few motice any difference - and fewer still put together the pieces. The Marines don't see the forest for the trees.

Cross Guild

• Crocodile decided on that stolen Marine shop, escaping prison, that the Clown was Hiding Something. He was intriguing. So when an opportunity presented for that loan, he accepted.

• Mihawk knew tangentially that there was a "history" between Shanks and the Clown, though he will admit he tuned most of the details out after the fifth drunken ramble about how soft that blue hair was. He could tell the other's Haki was unusual, and the dichotomy of his pedigree to his presentation was Odd to say the least. He was a puzzle, and Mihawk did enjoy a good puzzle in his spare time...

• falling in love with the clown was not on either of their itineraries, and yet between the bleeding of days, their touches flowed from harsh and bruising to softer, encouraging, searching, studying. It is only looking back that they can see how rapid a shift it was between the initial animosity to something cordial and hopeful, a span of less than a month. And Buggy was sharp eyed and sharp tongue through it all.

• apologies were given and forgiveness was earned through effort and dedication. They went from antagonistic opportunists to peaceful cohabitation with surprising ease once the first hurdles were conquered.

• with Buggy's trust came his Trust and friendship, a new experience for both dark haired men. Appreciation bled into affection, into attraction, and they were flustered by it, though neither would admit that.

• it is, ironically, when Shanks comes by Karai Bari that things begin shifting. For one, the argument that ensues is full of affection and comfortable proximity. Buggy's trusted commanders welcome the Redhairs like old friends, like fellows under their flag. Alvida and Beckman specifically gravitate to each other, the older man wordlessly offering her a cigarette while she passes over a bottle without even looking up. Shanks and Buggy meanwhile are smiling as they trade barbs, touches casual and accepted easily.

It culminates into Buggy telling Shanks to shut up, to which the taller gives a demand with a beaming grin. "Make me!"

Buggy huffed at him, rolling his eyes, but yanks the other down to press a charged kiss to his lips, leaving him flushed, a dopey smile enriched by the transferred pigment.

• Mihawk and Crocodile have a brief moment of disappointment at the signals received until Shanks perks up on seeing them. "Oh, Bugs! Are these the guys you told me about? Heya, Hawkeye! Long time no see, still as handsome as ever! And wow. Crocodile, huh? Bug was right, you are hot as fuck."

Buggy proceeds to die on the spot, flailing and screeching, but that has simply opened a floodgate.

The visit is brief, but it leads to further conversation topics, spread carefully across the following days.

Yes, Buggy and Shanks are together. They have been since they were kids.

No, they aren't exclusive. Open relationship.

Yes, they are technically allied. No, not under one or the other flag. Equal allied.

Oh. Um. Yeah, they can... have more than one relationship. Why do you ask...?

• Buggy calls Shanks that night. "Why do I always attract the big burly doms???"

"You're just so submissive and breedable, Bugs. Also hey, I'm a switch :/"

"I know but you get my poi- wait I'm WHAT-??"

• Cross Guild courting is hilarious and also really cute. Mihawk runs on acts of service, Crocodile on gift giving, Buggy is a melting pot of love languages. They mix well enough, but the three of them temper each other as well. It's balanced out perfectly with them as such.

• Mihawk and Shanks as a result also end up falling in together tangentially. Buggy becomes Their balancing agent as well - he can redirect Shanks' endless energy, can curb and correct Mihawk's faux pas. He is bouncy enough to meet Shanks bit for bit, but also calm enough to pull him back some to meet Mihawk's lower energy levels and offer balance between them. It's organic and refreshing.

• Crocodile only has eyes for Mihawk and Buggy, but he is friendly enough with Shanks. Even if the redhead calls him his boyfriend-in-law. It's mildly annoying, but to be fair, Crocodile has since accepted that he apparently LIKES annoyances. Whether that is natural inclination or a result of his life experiences is to be determined. /hj

• Buggy gets treated like a princess, and when either of his boyfriends call him that or give him the royal treatment, he absolutely melts into a clown puddle.

• on that note, down the line, it is brought up to the Guild throuple that Shanks would be fine if they also got married. He gets it, after all. It's a special promise, and he knows Buggy is a catch. They discuss it sometimes, and eventually decide that... yeah. They would like that.

• there's some debate over who would officiate it, and Shanks ultimately decides for them by volunteering as an ally, captain and fellow polycule member. The logistics of marriage is wacky and the group winds up Dividing to conquer.

• Buggy, who makes most of his clothes or sources them to the crew seamstresses and tailors, goes out looking for fabric that will work for what he has in mind.

Who does he run into on that island but that rubber dumbass in a hat who is also apparently God too, how quaint. Luffy is bright and bold and asking a million questions. Buggy answers as best he can, already feigning annoyance and anger but still patient. The boy reminds him so much of Shanks when he was young it's bittersweet.

Eventually Luffy asks what Buggy is doing on this island. And Buggy answers. "I'm shopping for some fabric." Luffy gets excited, asks to help. He's supposed to be on his best behavior, he rambles, Nami said so, but he got distracted and is bored now. Can he help??

Buggy agrees. Luffy wans to know what the fabric is for. So the clown pirate pulls out his sketch, holds it up. "I need something for the bodice and some lace. Maybe some tulle if I can find it for the ruffles."

Luffy studies it closely. "That's a wedding outfit."

"Yeah"

"Is it yours?"

"Mhmm."

"I thought you were married to Shanks?"

"I am. I'm gonna marry my other boyfriends, too. Red's gonna officiate."

"Oh! Congratulations! I think I saw a fabric store over that way!"

The day is actually pretty sweet and fun. Buggy's got a good grasp on working with Luffy's attention span - it isn't all that different from Shanks'. By the end of it, he even treats the kid to some ice cream.

"I wish I could be there," Luffy admits with strawberry syrup on his cheek.

Buggy wipes it away absently with his thumb. "Why?"

"You're my friend! And you're Shanks's wife, he told me so when I was really little. And I like you, Buggy. You're weird but cool and you have a good heart and your sound is nice, too."

Buggy tenses. "My sound...?"

"Mhmm," Luffy continues like he hadn't just shocked the absolute hell out of the clown beside him. "It's like windchimes and this whirring sound but it's also kinda like clouds, too? It's hard to explain. Shanks' sound is weird too, like-"

"-bottles clacking together, lots of voices, and fire."

"Yeah!! How did you know?"

Buggy puts his ice cream down, rubbing his forehead. How does one explain early onset oversensitive observation haki to a teenager?

"Mystery power," he decides on.

Luffy nods. "Ah. Got it."

They go back to their ice cream. After a few moments, Buggy sighs. "You.... ugh. You could, you know?"

"Hm?"

"Come to the wedding."

Luffy beams for all of a moment, eyes tinting red over his irises before he sags with a frown. "But.. Shanks will be there."

"Yeah?"

"I can't, then."

"What? Why not? Thought you loved that ginger dumbass."

"I do! But we promised.. " his hand drifted to The Hat, a woven straw tapestry of trauma and comfort for Buggy. He frowned.

"What was the promise anyway?"

"I'd give the hat back when I was a great pirate."

".... Luffy. Look at me." Blue eyes met blackened maroon unflinchingly. "I'm a trickster, right?" Luffy nodded. "That means I'm good at understanding words and finding loop holes - meaning I can find exceptions to rules that don't even break them." Luffy nodded again, more slowly. "It's not cheating. It's working the system."

"Like Nami."

"Like Nami, yes. You promised to give the hat back when you're a great pirate. I'd say you're already a phenomenal pirate now, but that's just me. Understand?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, cool. So you give the hat back when you're great. Where does it say that you can't SEE him until then?"

"... but-"

"Nope! Taking it literally here, kiddo, work with me. You promised to give the hat back. He never said, and You Never Agreed, to not see him until then. Just to meet him there to give the hat back. You can totally see the idiot, and it isn't even breaking the promise."

"So I can come to your wedding?"

"Sure, kiddo. And wanna hear a secret?"

"Yeah!"

"I think Shanks would love to see you."

".... really?" His voice was softer, quieter, more juvenile than Buggy had ever heard it.

The blue haired man offered a smile, reaching out to ruffle raven locks. "I promise, I think he'd love to see you."

The rest of the day goes by easily, and Buggy writes down the island the wedding is planned for, his denden number, the date, time, and theme.

"Give it to your navigator," he tells the young man with a smile, "you and your crew is welcome. Just try not to cause too much mayhem, okay?"

"Alright! Thanks, mama Bug! I'll see you later!"

Luffy is vanishing into the streets before Buggy can respond, blinking as the other disappears. He sighs, a smile quirking his lips. "Mama, huh...?" He tilts his head up, looks at the sky. He thinks of another dark haired man in a strawhat, one who called him his pirate princess and supported Buggy through all of his experimental years. He huffed a laugh. "Ay, Captain, I hope you can see this shit show. Tides are changing..." He turned his gaze towards the docks, towards a brightly colored and bold, unapologetic, Free ship at the furthest end. ".... and time waits for no man. Or clown, I guess."

Chuckling, Buggy gathers his wares, turns on his heel, and makes his way back.

He'll have to rework the food budget to account for another D., after all.

Not many general headcanons make it into my work because I tend to write about specific concepts, so this was fun!

I love all interpretations of the XS timeline, but I don't think they were together during the story's canon. Post-canon and I can see an argument for the TYL arc. Extremely dubious on anything pre-cradle affair.

Xanxus is absolutely the jealous type, but he won't address it in a practical way. He's known to cling to his possessions, right?

On that note - Dino, count your days.

Xanxus is very much into Squalo's hair. If he can touch it, he will, whether that's a pleasant touch or not.

Besta likes Squalo the most after Xanxus himself, and will try to smother him and kiss him, which Xanxus ignores like he's getting paid for it.

It's a private relationship, for several reasons. Not many people know about it, and if they do, they're not going to comment on it lest they want to part ways with their face.

Except for Luss, of course, who bombards Squalo with dumb questions when they have downtime, none of which are answered. That 101 battles was ROUGH.

No pet names other than the usual insults that probablyyy count as pet names. But don't tell them I said that.

Xanxus runs warm because of his flame (why he can run around half shirtless), and Squalo runs cold (why he wears fur and coats and earmuffs all the time!) The ideal temperature equilibrium for cuddling.

This is canon, but Xanxus is overall calmer when Squalo is around HQ.

Squalo finds Xanxus' scars attractive as they relate to his rage, but he wouldn't mention it because of the sore topic. If Xanxus ever lost control over his scars in a sexual context, well....

Squalo has had feelings for Xanxus since the beginning. He must've been pretty convinced things were going to work out, huh? When you know you know etc. etc.

Xanxus has some Avengers level threat internalized homophobia. His whole complex is over being heir to the Vongola, and part of that role is having a family and children, so being with a man would be really hard for him to comes to terms with. Also, the stereotypes of gay men that he'd be acquainted with go against the persona he's made for himself.

In effect, it's really hard for him to be openly affectionate. Queue glass throwing and hair pulling.

SAME TANGENT because I see this way too much but these two could not be a casual FWB situation given Xanxus' complex.

Okay so this is based on the inheritance ceremony where Timoteo is a little bitch to Squalo for no reason. THOSE TWO BEEF LIKE CRAZY IN THE MOST PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE "IN LAWS" WAY POSSIBLE. Squalo obviously dislikes him because he ruined Xanxus' life and is dismissive of the Varia as a whole, Timoteo dislikes him because he thinks he's trying to get with his son and go against what a right hand man is supposed to be.

If there's one thing that's going to fluster (fluster!?) Varia Captain and Sword Emperor Superbia Squalo, it's going to be Xanxus. Squalo never expected to get this far, so when he spends his life in respectful admiration and is suddenly getting bombarded with what would otherwise be normal couple behavior, he doesn't know what to do.

Xanxus pretends to be unaware of the effect he has, but definitely knows and extorts it because it's cute
