The  anxiety  Solstice  feels  as  they  scour  her  form  for  any  abomination  against  her  dress  presides  over  them  like  a  suffocating  weight.  &&  as  they  expected,  there   (    on  her  clean  white  shirt    )    spreading  like  a  drop  of  watercolour  on  canvas,  is  the  coffee  they  carried  in  their  hands.  They  watch  in  utter horror  as  it  consumes  a  portion  of  the  fabric.  The  itch  to  assist  her  overwhelms  them  like  a  suffocating  veil,  but  as  it's improper  to  touch  someone  without  their  consent   (   and  the  area  where  the  stain  borders  questionable  territory   )   they're  forced,  at  worse,  to  simply  keep  their  hands  to  themselves  and  observe  the  act  with  an  air  of  innate  distress. 

They  might've  guessed  venturing  into  the  realm  of  human  society  could  prove  as  nothing  short  but disasterous  for  them,  but  it  hadn't  stopped  them  from  wanting  to try  anyway.  The  trees,  the  leaves,  the  animals  and  the  pure  scent  of nature  was  their  old  friend.  Yet  even  friends  must part  sometimes;  Solstice  hoped  to  return  with  a  happier  experience  penned  in  their  journal  compared  to  the last  time  they'd  been  out.  Unfortunately  that  destiny  just  wasn't  meant  to  be their's  this  time  around.

Even  if  her  words  are  of  an  ilk  that  should  settle  between  the  tepid  cracks  in  their  composure,  they  just  can't  seem  to  settle  down.  Get  comfortable.  Feel at  ease.  They've  gone  and  ruined  her  outfit,  and  by  the  looks  of  her....  by  the  way  the  people around  her  are  whispering,  words  humming  like  a  thousand  tiny  bees,  she's  someone important.  Which  makes  this  all  the  more worse  for  Solstice;  that  they  should  rejoin  humanity,  only  to  then offend  them  almost  immediately  with  not  just  their  appearance,  but  their actions  as  well.

This  inner  monologue  could've  carried  on  for  hours  and  hours  longer,  but  they're  accurately  aware  of  an  offer  she's  made,  and  it'd  be rude  to  not  proffer  an  answer  of  some  kind.  With  their  voice  stumbling  and  tripping  over  itself  as  hands  fidget,  tangling  themselves  in  their  own  clothes.  Violent anxiety  drowns  their  purple  eyes  as  they  stare  back  at  her   (   not  her  eyes,  no  no,  they've  not  earned  the  right  to  gaze  at  level  with  someone  of  such  importance;  a  noble,  as  they've  discerned  amongst  the  whispers   )   but  her  face.  Her  lips,  her  cheeks,  her  nose,  her  ears  and  neck...      ❝   I  don't  know  if  you  should  do  that.  I  just  destroyed  your  clothes,  didn't  I?      ❞      She  should  be furious  with  them.  Cursing  them  out;  demanding  they  pay  in  some  kind  of  respect.

But  she  wants  to  buy  them  another  coffee...?  The  very  same  half-spilt  over  her  clothing  and  the  floor  at  their  feet?     ❝   If...  if  anything,  I  should  be  buying  you  something  to  drink,  no?  A  new  outfit  even?  I  don't..  own  much  human  currency,  but  I  can  use  what  I  have.  Or  just  give  it  to  you.  You  can  have  it  all!  Even  if,  um,  you  weren't  paying  attention,  I  shouldn't  have  moved  so  quickly...      ❞

The rabbit vastaya looked as nervous as a snake among secretary birds. Immediately she slammed up her empathy wall, forcing back the emotions she experienced, and allowed her calm to overtake her persona once more.

　　"Easy now," Caitlyn offered with a gentle smile, looking down at her outfit. there rested a nice brown stain on the edges of her shirt, bleeding through and spreading like branching lines. "It's fine I can just change later," There was no reason to get up in arms over a shirt, she was not like the other nobles of Piltover who might stomp down upon the common folk. She reached over for a few napkins at the counter and started to brush off the side of her shirt.

　　A wave of her hand came, despite some hush tones and whispers about how this Vastaya had just bumped into a Kiramman. Her name a feared tone among many, but she acted with a smile here. "How about I buy you another coffee, I was working on autopilot and not watching where I was going either," Blue Feathers ruffled around her shoulders, visible from her uniquely designed shirts. Music!! Unless I'm absolutely struggling with a scene and I really need to think in silence, it's always music. If I AM struggling, then I need absolute silence. Writing in sunlight tends to help me a ton too! Something about the vibes... they really motivate me!

🦈 - which character is the toughest to write?

Y'know, I used to think it was Al during ch2. Then I thought it was Greed in ch4 when I was still getting used to him. But no. I think the toughest character to write is fucking Bido. Greed's entire crew sans Martel in 03 don't rlly get expanded on to begin with, BUT BIDO ESP IS THE TOUGHEST NUT TO CRACK CUZ—HE'S JUST ANXIOUS?? That's his entire character! He's Anxious all the time!! BUT WHAT ELSE?

I genuinely struggle to imagine what else there is to him. It also doesn't help that Bido's character type (nervous wrecks, doormats, etc) generally just kinda uhhhh, piss me off a little?? Which might just be me projecting my anger at my younger self but WHATEVER. Bido's a tough one and I'm glad my current wip kills him off cuz I wouldn't know how to deal with him lmao
