[Owen enters Curt's hospital room. He's just woken up himself and probably shouldn't be on his feet, but something is telling him that he needs to worry about Curt.]

[Curt tenses when he first sees Owen come in. He doesn't know what sort of state his partner will be in. But once he sees those beautiful brown eyes rather than the pink, he relaxes.

Curt looks the worse for wear. His shoulder had ended up infected from getting thrown and pushed into the ground so much. He had a couple cuts and a massive bruise from where Owen had punched him. He seemed pale. Weak. He had forced himself to ignore the relaxing effects of the drug and that had led to over exertion. But he still manages a small, worried smile in Owen's direction.

He turns his attention back to the phone in his hand.]

I'll call you back Ma one of the doctors just walked in.

"If you want to do something else, that's completely fine. Miss Holloway, did you mention the charity work? I think that would be a fantastic opportunity."

{Gloria smiles, genuine and less nervous.}

"Your art is something special."

{Deb smiles back at her, glancing down at her lap. When she meets her mom's eyes again, she's a little more sure of herself.}

"Thanks, mom. I- I don't want to be Honey Queen, but what if we looked into other stuff? Kik does dancing... you know, since you love competing. Still all the fun stuff without the pressure..."

{Deb Sweetly enters Miss Retro's Diner, but this is not the first time. For about a week, the teen has come in, politely ordered coffee, and sat in the back corner booth of the Diner to do homework. Between home and Hachetfield High, this was the much preferred spot.}

{The teen has not spoken very much to Miss Holloway, mostly keeping to themself. She's one of the kids Duke works with, and her track record is getting a little messy. Recently, she'd earned herself probation for helping Ziggy tag private property as a "joke".}
