Thoughts on Wasp? I like the idea of cats joining that turn out that the Clans aren’t great… but also it feels… weird? Like it seems like another “lazy cat bad” on some levels. I don’t mind him not joining the Clans but these “outsider learns they’re not fit for the Clans” things always give me a pause from the Erins. Also interested in how you would handle him!

Moonkitti's video on him is really well worded, if you haven't seen it yet. I do think he's different from the way that other books tend to portray outsiders in that they are saying that he was driven away by the xenophobia of the Clans... but.

They still make him extremely disinterested in Clan life while he's in ThunderClan. I think that was a massive blunder to write, if the thing they're trying to say is "XENOPHOBIA PREVENTS OTHERWISE ENTHUSIASTIC MIGRATION"

It would have hit harder if it was Wafflepaw who tried to run to RiverClan, got assaulted, and then didn't want to be a Clan cat anymore.

Wafflepaw WANTS to be a warrior. Wasp did not. It reads more like Wasp getting hate crime'd was a "last straw" more than THE reason why he won't stay.

That's where you're getting that vibe they're saying "lazy cat bad," imo. It's a bit different from usual, but it still seems like the narrative is saying that Wasp really didn't belong here anyway.

(no, Nightheart's moment where he looks at the camera and says "he could have been fine!" doesn't change that they showed, in their text, with the actions they wrote, that Wasp was not enjoying being part of the Clans anyway. If that was their intended thesis, their writing was sloppy.)

It feels especially weird that Bee didn't go with Frostpaw. Bee was the character with a lot more setup and that strange dream. A lot of people were confusing Bee and Wasp when the book first came out and I don't blame them.

Most importantly, you can't talk about Wasp without also mentioning one of THE worst lines I think has ever been written into a Warrior Cats book. The part where tigerHeartstar says, "Those cats who just committed a hate crime were perfectly good people before the evil dictator took over. If we kill the evil dictator, I'm sure they'll CHANGE BACK"

So when I get around to it, I'm going to evaluate if Wasp is even actually necessary in the form he's in. BB is already about xenophobia and bigotry and the harm it does. Frostpaw has no shortage of examples to witness what Thistle Law is, and what it does to those excluded from Clan Culture.

When I first made my Family Tree for RiverClan, I actually ended up making Splashstar's MOM, Havenpelt, an ex-rogue. I think seeing him order a hate crime against his own mother would be a LOT more impactful here, actually.

What Frostpaw DOES need is allies and friends. I'm already starting by expanding her little "DND Party," a word I'm using to affectionately refer to some cats who will be following her home from her pilgrimage to the Park. 99% chance that Nightheart is going to become a permanent member of this party, joining RiverClan at the end of ASC. Waffle will be another. She'll probably also pick up a Tribe cat.

Wasp will be on this party, but I won't decide what happens to them until I see what that last book has in store. Who knows, he might come back (though I hope not, run as far away from these ghouls as possible Wasp!!)

He comforted Prince, petting his tentacles once again. You're not too surprised to see that Prince is big on physical affection.

Eventually, the three of you went back to sleep, after a small cup of tea and some chatting. Emperor would gloat about past battles, but it wasn't in the way you'd expect. He'd often speak highly of his teammates, appearing proud of them more than simply 'Oh we're better than everyone haha'. He seemed genuine, as if they were his family. They probably were his family now. Emperor, the eldest, N-pacer, the older sister, Edging Jr., the middle brother, and Prince, the youngest.

You weren't sure what to do with yourself the following day. You had a notably very nice breakfast- near feast- with team Monarch. They were all so kind to you: Offering you juice or whatever beverage you wanted, asking if the food was okay, making sure your plate was taken care of. ..Asking how your family was.

Right, Emperor was the only one that knew why you were homeless for the moment. The others just assumed Prince brought a friend home. That's... oddly sweet, actually. How they didn't even bother with asking for any kind of explanation, letting Prince be happy with his friend. You smiled softly as they chatted amongst themselves, leaving your chin in the palm of your hand due to being finished your food before the rest of them.

Before you left, not wanting to intrude any further, Prince claimed to have a small gift for you. It was originally for him, but it didn't fit him yet, but he wanted to give it a good use.

It was a fairly flat gold ring with a small crown symbol engraved on it. It was flat so that it wouldn't mess with the way whoever wore it held their weapon. The two brothers guided you to the gates, waving you goodbye. You then noticed something on Emperor's left hand- a matching gold ring. That's sweet, knowing that Prince and he were supposed to have matching rings. You almost felt bad accepting the gift afterwards, but Prince assured you it suited you much more and he could always get another one.

After you left, Emperor turned to his brother and thanked him, smiling.

"Thank you for the cover-up story, Prince."

Prince giggled and covered his mouth with his hand before whispering:

"Someone's got a cruuush~"

Emperor shot him a playful glare paired with a roll of his eyes.

Your first teammate arrived and you paid them no mind as they changed into their Salmon Run gear. Eventually you looked up at them to try to gauge how skilled they appeared, hoping you'd end up with a good teammate. Unlike in game, whoever walks in first goes to work, no matter if they're a go-getter or profreshional. What you weren't expecting was a pair of cyan eyes staring right back at you through the lenses of a gasmask.

"Ah..."

You sat frozen for a moment, as did Mask.

Well, no matter the circumstances, you were both here to work.

"So, um, are you here so you can buy a new game?"

He nods, continuing to get ready for his shift.

It was an awkward few minutes of silence, many questions on your mind. You couldn't help but choose one to ask. In a small voice, you mustered:

"Is the S4 doing okay?"

"...Whaaat do you meaaan?"

"I mean with... the whole idea that you're from a game."

"I thiiink it's kinda cool. They're doing okay."

He paused for a moment,

"This world is very real to us, riiiight? I don't seeee the issue. And I thiiiink they're beginniiiing to get over it tooooo."

You sigh in relief, and Mask looks at you with curiosity. Out of all the questions you could have asked, you asked if they were okay? Did you not care if they hated you? What they thought of you? Only if they were doing okay?

Soon enough, two others rolled in - literally - to Grizz.co. Goggles and Gloves.

Goggles swiftly tacked you in a hug, still excited about your big win. You hugged him back and ruffled his tentacles, enjoying the simpleness of his actions. Things weren't so complicated with him. And they didn't have to be. After your interaction, Gloves dabs you up, and fistbumps you, also proud of your win against Emperor.

Mask watched from afar, curiosity in his gaze. You confused him. So much was happening in your life, yet you were still able to enjoy it? Shouldn't you hate life right now? Shouldn't you be working at Grizz.co to forget your worries?

The thing he was most confused about is how he couldn't hate you, despite you seemingly enjoying life. You made the best out of what you had and he didn't hate you for it. If anything, maybe he even lo- no, no. Surely not. That was too far.

But he didn't hate you, he knew that much.

Soon enough, you were sent off to Spawning Grounds with Mask, Goggles and Gloves by your side. You chatted in the helicopter with Goggles, talking about your recent battle and how your teams were doing.

Mask knew it must've hurt to talk about, yet you continued to force a smile, subtly encouraging Goggles to talk about his own team.

Mask analysed you carefully as you battled. You especially seemed to be good at reviving your teammates and protecting them. You really were good at caring for others. You were patient with Gloves and Goggles, teaching them how to take down the bosses.

NGL, the amount of people that immediately flooded my inbox with Konosuba was unexpected. I wasn't aware that many people watched it on tumblr, but nevertheless!

Aqua at first thinks it's a curse that her S/O doesn't speak.

With her infinite wisdom, she confidently puts her hand on S/O's chest and begins casting healing magic.

...Which did literally nothing.

(Aqua) "Eh?! What kinda mega curse is this, your voice should be working now!"

When she realizes what the cause is, using her MASSIVE BRAIN, she immediately goes to nag Kazuma to help, which he always whines about.

Which if anything, makes S/O even quieter, not due to the anxiety, but watching the two of their IQ's plummet into the negatives.

Not that it was particularly high to begin with, but still. S/O wanted no part of their mutually assured self destruction.

Aqua doesn't mind it as she rants on about whatever, but making sure they're actually listening, and somehow having the foresight to shut up if they're getting bothered.

Sometimes, it was nice to enjoy the silence. In her case, that was all too rare.

When S/O does speak, it always catches her off guard.

(Aqua) "WHAAAT?! YOU SPOKE UP JUST TO TELL ME I CAN'T DRINK?! YOU'RE SO MEAAAN!"

Darkness, surprisingly, catches on very quickly of why S/O doesn't speak often.

She maintains a calm attitude, speaking up for them if they're not in the mood to, and respecting their silence.

Being a Noble, she helps S/O to the best of her ability with any social anxiety, after all she had a bit of it herself before she met Chris.

But...sometimes she gets a bit...weird when giving examples. It's still Darkness, after all.

One of the examples to help train Noble anxiety was to get some rope and [REMOVED TO CONFORM TO INTERNATIONAL CENSORSHIP LAWS]

The times when S/O did speak, it always made her blush.

(Darkness) "A-Ah...W-Why do you only speak my name? Hmph, you could've said anything but that!"

She pouts, yet...she doesn't hate them calling her by her real name.. At least not S/O doing it.

Wiz doesn't mind S/O's silence one bit. If anything, it's comforting to her.

She isn't one to talk terribly much when there's no need for small talk anyway, so the both of them comfortably take care of the store.

Wiz tries to find all sorts of ways to help S/O with their anxiety by getting them to speak with various objects that could respond as practice.

She stopped when one of those items punched them in the face since it was a voice activated trap.

Instead, she asks Kazuma to help. In which he's absolutely glad to help Wiz and her boyfriend/girlfriend.

Whenever Wiz hears S/O speak, the biggest smile forms across her face and she instantly forgets what she was originally doing.

(Wiz) "Oh...! Your voice is lovely dear, have I mentioned that to you before?"

She only wishes she could hear their voice more, but maybe this is what makes it all the more special.

i meaaan carlos' wimbledon final 👁️ almost gave me a heart attack but it was all worth it 🥹and uso women's final, shanghai dimidrey semi final, andrey's mc final 🥹

probably umag 2022 because the vibes were just good all around, there was no way to lose and the beauty of it was that it was a 250 so no one was going to be that crushed by the loss 😭

They took away Leo's braces and that is in fact a massive travesty. He'll always have braces in my heart.

As for the AUs, I MEAAAN... You know me and 2003... Otherwise, I honestly have no idea. I don't know enough about these new boys yet. Maybe I'll end up writing something for them when I get to see the movie!

Unfortunately it is only coming out in theaters and I'm chronically ill and disabled, so getting out to see it would be a momentous task and even then, I can't really sit in a theater full of unmasked people for over an hour. Too risky.

So it will be a long while before I actually get to see the movie.

I think that it's more so they haven't been in a lot of videos together recently? Shayne didn't feel distant in the staring contest livestream and that is the content closest to us in term of when it was filmed. We're not being FED but imo we're not starving either lol. There's a lot of Shayne+1 games video right now so there's less space for different dynamics in those shoot blocks it seems. On pit their last vid was the reddit stories and I meaaan it was great. The next one was yesterday's tntl 3 weeks later so they're just not in videos together right now. I'm gonna start a prayer circle so Chanse is the next guest on smosh mouth, it's been 13 weeks 😭
