29 - Swedish I'm normal about vampires. And always open to talk about Pirates of the Caribbean. Sometimes reblog horror/gore and nsfw-ish stuff and I do usually tag it if it's more graphic, but be aware some things may still slip through the cracks. Post-scarcity society where the employer/employee relationship still exists, but it's explicitly a kink thing.

had a realization recently about why i'm not the biggest fan of ascended astarion (he is very well written as a character and i like that! he's just not my personal cup of tea) and it all comes down to that like 80% of the reason i'm even interested in astarion is because he's a vampire. and to me ascended astarion is just a very boring vampire.
vampires having weaknesses adds a bit of tragedy to them and is what makes them interesting, the never being able to see the sun again of course being the most obvious. but AA loses all of that. he's just some really powerful immortal guy. in fantasy that could just be any ol' wizard, like he's not that special.
furthermore he doesn't even have to drink blood anymore, which is like THE most important aspect of a vampire! and he definitely still drinks blood, but he does it just because he can. he doesn't crave it in the same way he used to. boring!

i think part of the reason lost media videos are so fun is that it more ethically scratches the same itch as true crime. a bunch of people online being amateur sleuths and going down rabbit holes is a lot easier to enjoy when theyre looking for a cereal commercial from 1991 instead of liike bothering the families of murder victims

it sucks that the backrooms and by extent liminal spaces turned out the way they did in popular culture. i love dreamy places not because they're full of Scary Screatures or whatever but because they're fun and interesting and cool and a perfect place for a girl like me to lay her eggs

In the 1950s, the US National Park Service acquired M27 recoilless rifles from the military.
Their stated use was to trigger controlled avalanches, but a recent analysis of ammunition purchases shows they used many times more rounds than necessary.
The NPS was hunting something.
