Dino ask time! I'm gonna pick my favorite dinosaur for this - Carnotaurus!
DINOSAUR YAY
Carnotaurus - share a scene that contains some cool worldbuilding
Yeah, so here's the thing, I haven't actually gotten to the 'proper writing' stage with any of my WIPs, and thus all of my worldbuilding simply sits either in my head or a document. However, I am in the proper writing stage of what I'm calling Renegades (a superhero story which is only in that stage by benefit of not having gone through the script stage first whoops), and here is a snippet from that!
Ft; a few tidbits about Ira's powers and also Ira's dynamic with Trick and HB. Does that count? I'm going to say it counts.
Ira strode down the hallway, staff tucked under his arm. I need a damn drink. Iraâs powers burnt off most kinds of alcohol too quickly for him to get drunk, but there were a few kinds that made him at least fuzzy-headed. (And yes, maybe this wasnât a good time for it, but there were enough capes around that Ira could just suck in some extra energy and clear his head anyway) Biting back a growl, Ira resisted the urge to blast a hole through the nearest wall, instead clenching his hands into fists. Eversor. Destroyer. There were very few capes that dared to mess with Ira, especially when he was angry. And Ira was angry. He contemplated portaling to the kitchens instead, then shoved the idea away. His skin felt like it was tingling; that was never a good sign for his control. Make a portal now, and next thing you know heâd be blowing the building up. (Iraâs control over his powers was much shakier than most people realized. Paris and Laurel were the only other people who knew the ins and outs of Iraâs power as well as he did. Raw energy was much harder to manipulate than it seemed, and with his powersâ lack of an off-switch, Ira was a conduit for any he passed. ⊠He was glad Paris and Laurel stayed around, much as he worried about losing control. There werenât many people who would befriend a ticking bomb)
#ask and ye shall be answered#thanken thou for the ask!#on another note i looked carnotaurus up 'cause i don't know names very well#nice spiky boi#i'm pretty sure there's a renegades snippet on this blog somewhere if you're interested#backburner wips#<- should be somewhere in there#renegades#ira darken#eversor#ah yes my beloved natural disaster of a son#(ira could definitely be a natural disaster if he wanted though#that is not just a metaphor)#should i tag trick and hb#they're only mentioned#ah why not#trickster#heartbreaker#paris vanily#laurel marilon

hi heres art so you pay attention to me now go read the tags
#ive been rewatching episode 7 like its the only thing on youtube and made note of many things#first off. the solver can only have one host. nori mentions skyn wants to kill off all the other solver hosts (with the dds) and disregards#the idea of both uzi and doll being its current host when they get chased#plus the main solver possessions only occur when skyn is out of the picture (the fightt in ep 7 is only after n decapitates âtessaâ)#solver uzi is possible too but i dont count her cause she doesn't have the yellow#personal theory is that its more an instinctual response to overheating or something and not full on possession#second off nori calls the solver cyn. how does she know that name#cyn was on earth and only showed up to copper 9 recently and i presume nori's been here her whole life#it probably wasn't the other dds cause none of them made it down and they're all more savage beasts#since cyn specifies n's team retained their personalities and that makes me think the other teams didnt#also also we should've immediately questioned tessa arriving in the same type of pod as the mds when they were revealed to not be sent by j#im running out of characters also the people who dont like when i use tags like this can bite me#murder drones#murder drones nori#artori? that sounds cool#ill probably just stick with nori though#i have so many solver heart refs now#art#episode 7#murder drones episode 7#murder drones episode 7 spoilers#using the same black for shadows as my lineart doesn't work when i have to draw thin things over it#murder drones spoilers

crows use tools and like to slide down snowy hills. today we saw a goose with a hurt foot who was kept safe by his flock - before taking off, they waited for him to catch up. there are colors only butterflies see. reindeer are matriarchical. cows have best friends and 4 stomachs and like jazz music. i watched a video recently of an octopus making himself a door out of a coconut shell.
i am a little soft, okay. but sometimes i can't talk either. the world is like fractal light to me, and passes through my skin in tendrils. i feel certain small things like a catapult; i skirt around the big things and somehow arrive in crisis without ever realizing i'm in pain.
in 5th grade we read The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-time, which is about a young autistic boy. it is how they introduced us to empathy about neurotypes, which was well-timed: around 10 years old was when i started having my life fully ruined by symptoms. people started noticing.
i wonder if birds can tell if another bird is odd. like the phrase odd duck. i have to believe that all odd ducks are still very much loved by the other normal ducks. i have to believe that, or i will cry.
i remember my 5th grade teacher holding the curious incident up, dazzled by the language written by someone who is neurotypical. my teacher said: "sometimes i want to cut open their mind to know exactly how autistics are thinking. it's just so different! they must see the world so strangely!" later, at 22, in my education classes, we were taught to say a person with autism or a person on the spectrum or neurodivergent. i actually personally kind of like person-first language - it implies the other person is trying to protect me from myself. i know they had to teach themselves that pattern of speech, is all, and it shows they're at least trying. and i was a person first, even if i wasn't good at it.
plants learn information. they must encode data somehow, but where would they store it? when you cut open a sapling, you cannot find the how they think - if they "think" at all. they learn, but do not think. i want to paint that process - i think it would be mostly purple and blue.
the book was not about me, it was about a young boy. his life was patterned into a different set of categories. he did not cry about the tag on his shirt. i remember reading it and saying to myself: i am wrong, and broken, but it isn't in this way. something else is wrong with me instead. later, in that same person-first education class, my teacher would bring up the curious incident and mention that it is now widely panned as being inaccurate and stereotypical. she frowned and said we might not know how a person with autism thinks, but it is unlikely to be expressed in that way. this book was written with the best intentions by a special-ed teacher, but there's some debate as to if somebody who was on the spectrum would be even able to write something like this.
we might not understand it, but crows and ravens have developed their own language. this is also true of whales, dolphins, and many other species. i do not know how a crow thinks, but we do know they can problem solve. (is "thinking" equal to "problem solving"? or is "thinking" data processing? data management?) i do not know how my dog thinks, either, but we "talk" all the same - i know what he is asking for, even if he only asks once.
i am not a dolphin or reindeer or a dog in the nighttime, but i am an odd duck. in the ugly duckling, she grows up and comes home and is beautiful and finds her soulmate. all that ugliness she experienced lives in downy feathers inside of her, staining everything a muted grey. she is beautiful eventually, though, so she is loved. they do not want to cut her open to see how she thinks.
a while ago i got into an argument with a classmate about that weird sia music video about autism. my classmate said she thought it was good to raise awareness. i told her they should have just hired someone else to do it. she said it's not fair to an autistic person to expect them to be able to handle that kind of a thing.
today i saw a goose, and he was limping. i want to be loved like a flock loves a wounded creature: the phrase taken under a wing. which is to say i have always known i am not normal. desperate, mewling - i want to be loved beyond words.
loved beyond thinking.
#spilled ink#writeblr#personal#please don't ask me to talk on my experience on the spectrum lol. i hate how ppl talk to me about it#i really try not to write so specifically about it#bc inevitably someone talks to me like im a child#i think this is the first time i've ever openly identified with it but i've been hinting for years#i might delete this. feels big.#the thing is that being on the spectrum actually IS a spectrum#and if u say ur autistic#inevitably someone makes an assumption about ur needs/symptoms#please do not treat me differently than u usually would. like.... we can tell when you do#and like i mention. i do appreciate the effort. i do truly appreciate the effort.#but it still feels like...#when i was blind. sometimes people kind of did the same-ish thing.#they'd find out i was blind and start talking really loudly?#and while i KNOW they're just trying to help. it would be like. i'd be trying to find#the right way into a building (sometimes only 1 door is unlocked and i couldn't see the signs posted about where to go)#and ppl would be like ''OH UR BLIND? YES SO THIS IS A DOOR. IT OPENS INTO THE BUILDING. IT IS LOCKED NOW."#''A DOOR CAN BE FOUND IN MANY LOCATIONS.''#and it feels like. when i admit to being autistic#someone comes screeching into my life being like THIS IS A DOOR.

#yttd#your turn to die#sara chidouin#shin tsukimi#sou hiyori#midori yttd#kimi ga shine#kmgsn#shadowart#EXTRA NOTES IN THE TAGS TIME AS USUAL#as far as im aware these are the only two lines that specifically mention sara's eyes ?#and they're both worded in such incredibly similar ways#both are almost very abrupt too#as if they both got distracted and felt compelled to say something about her eyes#there are in general a lot of midori parallels with sara#and i think shin's remark on her eyes being scary... well... shin would know a lot about scary eyes wouldn't he#after all he was uncomfortable with midori's stare too#which further leads into of course midori complimenting her eyes#he sees himself in her. or more specifically. the ruthless sara of the simulations#eyes to some are like a window to the soul#midori's offhanded compliment directly paralleling shin's much earlier remark on her eyes... well it makes sense these two would both make#a comment like that#that being said. i'd love to make make a partner piece to this about gin and ranmaru commenting on sara's smile#as i think those are also the only two instances where someone sees her make a dark expression and calls it out#that's all!#WAIT ONE MORE NOTE#shin going ahaha in this dialogue because it's a quirk he stole from midori really adds to the whole thing#like even while actively pretending to be sou. he is still frightened by the man he is masquerading as#and he sees that man in sara's eyes. terrifying!

I just saw this video talking about actresses who've had to wear sexualized outfits on film that made them uncomfortable (think Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad) and it brought up an ongoing concern of mine about how films and tv shows are way more explicit now than they've been before. Thinking about how many actresses have been topless or nude on camera when it's totally unnecessary) Like I know Hollywood is experimental and would show sex and nudity in their films, I don't have a problem with that it's just how disproportionate the amount of women vs men who have to be naked and sexualized in film is. It's misogyny, pure and simple. Forcing actresses to put their bodies and sexuality on display for the pleasure of male directors and a male audience. And I hate that you can never point out how many actresses have come out and said that no, they didn't like wearing sexualized outfits on screen, they didn't like going nude/being pressured to go nude, they don't like sex scenes or explicit rape scenes but still anytime anyone mentions this you have to fight puritan allegations because god forbid you question how a notoriously sexualized and objectified marginalized community seems to always be sexualized and objectified in media.
#the pyre#I wish I remembered her name but I saw this snippet of an interview with this actress in her 40s who said that she wished she got more role#but as a woman in her 40s all her roles are either of a mother or sexulized#she specfically mentioned not wanting to do sex scenes especially for films with male directors#and to me this confirmed that atleast some actresses know that the only reason why they're given these sex scenes especally the long explic#scenes we get a lot nowadays are all to pander to a male audience which is why I roll my eyes when liberals brush off#any concerns as just not being sex positive or progressive enough#I really hate this new development where you can't point out the obvious without a liberal responding that not only are you wrong but they'#more progressive than you for fully supporting the thing you're criticising no questions asked

Thought for sure Jinx was gonna kill Vi's new enforcer buddies. I thought it would have paralleled her killing Mylo and Claggor, only this time it would be on purpose rather than accidental. This time she'd be remorseless rather than guilt-ridden and apologetic. Imagine if the show had spent time fleshing out the bond between Vi and her new squad. Shown them spending time together and training together. Shown how well she works with Maddie, Steb, and Loris, the latter reminding her so much of Vander. Then they go hunt Jinx together. And Jinx kills them one by one. Mylo, Claggor, and Vander dead again at Vi's feet. Only now there's no Powder crying and saying it was an accident and begging Vi not to leave her. Now Vi calling her "Jinx" again wouldn't just be an outburst she wishes she could take back. She'd 100% mean it this time.Â
It would have made Vi's murderous rage towards her sister make way more sense. The show makes it seem like the killing of the Council is what made Vi turn from "Powder, it's okay, we'll be okay" to "Powder is gone, let's murder Jinx." And that's just not a believable enough reason for me. Jinx was given plenty of complex well-written reasons to hate Vi, but Vi wasn't really given many personal reasons to hate Jinx. If Jinx had killed those Vi had come to care for, I'd fully understand her turning on Jinx and wanting to beat her to death, just like Ekko. I just wish they put just as much effort into writing one half of the sister rivalry as the other, considering it was supposed to be the main plot of the show.
#vi's very last line in season 1 was to reassure her sister and tell her they're gonna be okay#even after everything that happened and everything jinx did#the only thing jinx does after that is bomb the council so it really seems like THAT is supposed to be vi's turning point to hating jinx#she doesn't even mention the firelights at all so i doubt she's angry at jinx on their behalf or anything#they really should have put more effort into writing vi's side of things#give her actual strong reasons to feel as murderous towards jinx as jinx does towards her#arcane s2#arcane#arcane league of legends#arcane netflix#arcane season 2#arcane vi#arcane jinx#vi#jinx#arcane critical

More Amanita Szarr doodles because I think she should have been a recruitable NPC that hangs out around camp and drives everyone bonkers. Imagine the possibilities of the group having to babysit a surly teen vampire who's been 13 for like 50 years and also is Cazador's canonical in-game niece who wants to murder the shit out of her uncle.

This came to me earlier, and now I am utterly obsessed: While it was clear to me that Odysseus stabbing Poseidon wasn't any kind of Vengeance, there was one act of Vengeance after all, even if inadvertentâit was Odysseus disproving Poseidon's "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" belief right in front of his very eyes. With him as the subject, even.
Think about itâthe fact that Poseidon remained ruthless and insisted on punishing Odysseus was the only reason he got stabbed repeatedly. If Poseidon had been merciful, if he had accepted Odysseus' offer of forgiveness, he would've been fine. His own ruthlessness backfired so hard on him this time that I am sincerely hoping it haunts him forever.
I am actually utterly obsessed with Poseidon thinking back to Odysseus "Maybe you could learn to forgive?" on a daily, no an hourly basis. I cannot and will not lie to you that is unironically my favorite moment in the whole Vengeance saga just because of what it says about both the charactersâabout Odysseus for offering and Poseidon for declining (and also because Odysseus sings it in Poseidon's own motif which is just absolutely brilliant.) And this makes me love it even more.
Poseidon was going to decline, we all know that. I don't think anyone watchingâeven Odysseus, probablyâexpected him to accept. But then I'm picturing him lying there, bleeding into the stone, and, against his will, wondering whether maybe he should have. Maybe if he had, he wouldn't be in pain. Maybe if he had not killed Odysseus' fleet ten years ago, he wouldn't be in pain either. Maybe this one time ruthlessness wasn't mercy upon himselfâmaybe this time, his one grand belief was wrong. Maybe ... it was always wrong.
Obviously, he would never admit to these thoughts, he would slap himself for having them one second later. But I simply need this self-proclaimed god of ruthlessness to be utterly haunted by that and question whether he made the right choice or noâwhether he's even lived by the correct philosophy all his immortal lifeâand no matter what, be too stubborn to admit he was wrong.
He's trying to pretend like nothing changed, but the thoughts still remain. They pester him. They won't leave him alone. Especially every time someoneâanyoneâis kind to him for whatever reason, they come crashing back into him and they won't leave.
"What if my own ruthlessness hurt me that time?"
"What if ruthlessness isn't mercy upon ourselves after all?"
"What if I'm wrong?"
"What if I have always been wrong?"
The most dreadful thoughts imaginable to a god as proud and stubborn and old as Poseidon, but they're there now and he can't do anything about them. You all don't understand how much I NEED this god to jolt up in his bed at 3 am after having a dream or nightmare about something related to one of his many ruthless deeds (maybe even sinking Odysseus' fleet) and go "BUT WHAT IF I HAD LEARNED TO FORGIVE?? WHAT IF I STILL COULD??" only to immediately slap himself for it because that's absolutely ridiculous.
He is left to watch this belief shatter before his very eyes as he's clinging to the remains of it desperately, trying to keep it all from crumbling. Not because he genuinely believes he's right anymore, but because he simply cannot imagine ... does not know how to live by any other philosophy.
No matter whether it's objectively correct or not, it's the very thing that defines him. The thing he's known for. He has built his entire image around this, he cannot give it up no matter what ... at least not quickly or without help.
But as much he would seek to deny it, his core belief has now been proven wrong; he has actually lived through an instance where it was wrong, and he can do nothing to erase those memories or conclusions from his mind no matter how much he yearns to go back to simpler times.
And that was the real Vengeance, guysâpossibly the biggest, most painful existential crisis of Poseidon's immortal life. I rest my case.
Although before I disappear back into the void I simply must give a shout out to @o3o-lapd-o3o (this came to me during a conversation in one of their comment sections for the glorious Friends In Higher Places AU, which is quite possibly my favorite piece of EPIC fan content that exists ...)

Gareth??) to have it bc he's a little paranoid about getting staked by surprise so he just always wears it#I like Marshall and his Marshmallow hair đ„č Don't believe his lies tho he only has pointy ears because he modified them himself đ#But at least Marshall Lee is able to have ear piercings in another universe#Speaking of universes.. these two don't share the same universe hgyhjhhj I definitely should've mentioned it the first time-#I only said I already had some swap concepts in mind.. and they're a bit different.. so yeah this is technically a crossover then đ«Ž#back to the fun facts Marshall Lee is called Marshmallow King. Because Vampire King.#I want to give Gumball a crown but i ran out of ideas for a nice one at the moment đ«Ž I might give him a similar one to the VK#For now he just has an all time low pride lmao#Another fun fact Gumball's armor is based on PB's armor outfit (â ă»â ââ ă»â )#uhhhh what else.. i think that's all i have to say about them rn I hope you like it đ«¶#fionna and cake#gumlee#marshall lee#prince gumball#swap au

Details in Stan's letter that still haunt me
(how long will I continue thinking about a two page letter that's technically not even that long because Stan's handwriting is fricking large? .....you don't need to worry about that.)
The bro code only shows up in the Lost Journal pages, and to me Stan's message feels like it purposely echoes Ford's "miss you" in the college photo (and for some reason the message doesn't appear in the website version of the photo?) ....or alternatively Stan simply noticed how distressed Ford was about this entire thing and wanted to support him in a way so he can be sappy but without the kids knowing, or both!
Stan's claim about the Oregon lottery contradicts what the Lost Legends website said about Tate McGucket's ability to predict the winning numbers!! ...but also breaking into the Lottery HQ is definitely a very Stan thing to do and it's not the first time small gags have been retconned
Despite spending most of his letter nonchalantly destroying him, the taunt about ripping a dollar bill in half is the only part where Stan is directly responding to Bill. Maybe it's the two of them having similar ways of thinking but it's rather specific considering Bill taunts the reader about it...
And after Bill spends an entire book calling Ford Sixer despite normally using a pretty wide range of nicknames for him, Stan then spends his letter mainly referring to Ford as Sixer, even though post-Weirdmageddon he tends to use a mix of nicknames. And it's not like he'd gotten to see Bill himself for long, let alone see him steal that childhood nickname (that is only used twice in the actual show btw!). Did Ford tell him what happened or...?
With all this and the website's "still on your mind" message, what I'm getting at is my tinfoil hat theory of Stan somehow seeing some of the pages the irl readers saw, even when it should be personalised to the specific reader, and he's been lying about it for some reason. Considering that the book flat out doesn't make an attempt at convincing Soos, I find it a stretch that whatever Bill was telling Stan via the book was an attempt to convince him either.
Wouldn't be the first time Stan's skimmed through a book and lied about what it meant to him.
(...Now I kinda wanna see a story about the family reading their versions of the book and making fun of it while Stan is improvising every single one of his pages and blatantly ignoring Bill's attempts to mock and taunt him)
But also I'm fascinated by the letters that only showed up on the website (aka the Soos+Wendy+McGucket+Pacifica ones). I'm assuming that Mabel had stuck them on after Stan's letter... but they were basically eaten by the book itself because seeing Stan's letter kick-started Bill's breakdown which takes up the rest of the book
#im wearing this tinfoil hat with pride i know something is up!!!!#like three things in one letter??? ...i mean the handwriting is another thing but for another reason that i already mentioned elsewhere#(of course i also love the idea of same coin theory being flat out the reason why stan's perceiving the book differently)#gf meta#stanley pines#stan pines#ford pines#book of bill#bill cipher#also i'm still kinda annoyed that pacifica got a letter over candy and grenda cos like.... she didn't really do anything in w3 lmao#meanwhile grenda literally ripped bill's eye out and the girls were the main ones holding him off!!! give them respect hirsch!!!!#they helped with the unicorn spell!!!! they're an extended part of the group!!!! they saved stan before!! give my girls respect!!!!!!#also some folks are assuming that the 'miss you' message was directed at mcgucket but if it was for him#i feel like it'd be scribbled on the page itself and not be part of college ford notes in the bg (and ford would use a different cipher)#mind you the photo itself is a day after he met mcgucket so there's no reason why ford would direct it at him#they literally just became besties!!!#and this is a ford recently estranged from his brother and is still trying to convince himself he only feels anger towards him#(i saw some saying that ford shared the bro code with mcgucket too and im ??? theres an entire page about him hiding his childhood stuff#i get there's the 'oh disney!!!' easter egg now but ford at that time was pretty touchy about anything regarding stan#(alex saying that if mcgucket had found his stan o war photo ford wouldve lied and#brushed it off as an inspiration to his career in science instead admitting that he's holding onto it cos he misses his twin)#plus he'd show another recent code that wasn't made by literally kids if he really wanted to share one imo#but also j3 is him using them to hide info from mcgucket!!!)#two sides of the same dollar bill#thisisnotawebsitedotcom

ULTRATOBER /// EIGHTH CHARACTER DESIGN SWAP
I did, in fact, draw their faces but wasn't 100% sure if that conveyed "angel" enough so I gave them upside-down masks. But here they are uncovered.
#Ultrakill#Ultratober#Ultratober2024#Mannequin Ultrakill#In my mind they're greater angels. Hence being humanoid but also kinda buglike because the terminal mentions them to be vaguely animal shap#Granted we haven't seen any greater angels so it's mostly just bullshitted#Also in case it wasn't clear the cracks on the right mannequin are meant to resemble chest feminization scars. Idk if it reads#Hrokkall sketch#Admittedly this one was a little rushed but I still wanted to post it because I liked the concept. Quality only goes down from here folks!

in my humble opinion as someone with multiple cluster b disorders including bpd, the aim shouldn't be to "cure" it at all, because trauma cannot be cured and this is not an attainable goal, which sets an unfair precedent for us ourselves as victims of the disorder. the aim should instead be to heal and rehabilitate to a point where you can cope with the behaviors you've developed that are connected to the trauma. healing will happen, but the desire to "cure" all "sick" people is not a helpful stance to have and is way more damaging than it is helpful. hurt people don't need to be "cured" so much as just understood and helped. "curing" us is very much a medicalized idea that bases a person's worth on their ability to function. you and your struggles will always be valid, whether you heal or not, whether you're "cured" or not <3
