Halman stood there stupidly in the center of Frank’s apartment. It wasn’t clear if he had heard him or not. He just stared with an almost confused expression as if they weren’t sure what they were feeling. The being provided no indication of intelligence.

Thousand year old feelings stir up inside of them, strange and new. It was hard to control. Forgotten desire lingered on the back of his tongue.

It seemed to have forgotten what it meant to tease.

They glided across the room to him, wide eyed — enough as they could make themselves. It could only hope that its reaction back then was held with a bit more grace than now.

i’m curious was seol’s passing the main thing that made jungkook and seulgi’s relationship turn out how it is now ? or were they having issues even before that and the incident was what put even more distance between them ?

oh hi love! i imagine that they were a college relationship that got extended because of seol! like when jk mentioned that they both had to sacrifice a lot for their family, that’s what he was sort of hinting to. they were bound together by circumstance, if that makes sense! however, seol’s passing drove the wedge to an irreversible point! and then they had yul to fill that gap (more so jk’s decision) but obvi it didn’t work :’((

When I was young my dad offhandedly told me he thought people treated fish with so much casual cruelty because fish can’t scream.

The words branded themselves across my soul.

As an adult I think he may have been joking. He payed no especial attention to any indignities fish suffered in our household but I could never forget. I saw fish in a different light after that.

Fish kept in tiny bowls, breathing their own poisons, dying by inches. Fish kept in cold tanks, casually disposed of. Fish touted as being short lived when they could outlive the better loved family dog if only they could breathe. Fish casually won and discarded in cheap plastic bags, thrown away a week later.

How they would scream, if they could.
