REALIZATION
PAIRING heart-throb Gojo Satoru x quiet shy boy (yaoi)
WARNING male x male, closet sex, dirty talks, handjob, cock rubbing, fingering, loss of virginity, anal, neck kissing, nipple play, cum on face, then some flulff and assuration (Red flag Gojo turns Green flag)
It's quite a sight, isn't it?
Everywhere he goes on campus, he's bombarded with screams, cheers, and catcalls from his adoring fans. The popularity, the attention, the admiration—he's practically swimming in it. It's a given: Gojo Satoru, the living, breathing epitome of Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College's ideal man, with his chiseled jawline, snow-white hair, and eyes as blue as the ocean on a clear summer day.
He's the golden boy of Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College, with a reputation that precedes him wherever he goes. Popular among both genders, and known to be quite the flirt, Satoru basks in the attention showered upon him by every student, acquaintance, and stranger alike. He's got a knack for getting his way, and he doesn't shy away from using his charm, wit, and skills to get what he desires.
And then there's the little matter of his romantic escapades.
Perhaps it's the thrill of the chase, or maybe just his insatiable curiosity, but one thing's for sure: Satoru never stays with a partner for long. He's the epitome of a commitment-phobe, moving from one girl to another, leaving a trail of broken hearts and bewildered faces in his wake.
It's become a running joke among his peers, the way he changes girlfriends as frequently as some people change underwears, LOL. But hey, it's all part of his charm, right?
For Satoru, variety is the spice of life, and he's determined to enjoy every flavor. He's not one to settle down with just one person, nor does he want to. In his eyes, the grass always seems greener on the other side, and he's more than eager to explore every blade.
But beneath his carefree facade and playboy lifestyle, there's a secret he's yet to reveal.
Amidst the chaos of his love life, there's a quiet, shy boy who's been nursing a secret crush on a girl—let's not say the name—for what feels like forever. She, however, has eyes only for Satoru.
But Satoru, as per usual, seems oblivious to this hidden affliction. He's too busy bask in his own world of popularity and admiration to notice the quiet boy's silent pining or the girl's unrequited love. He's a master of selective perception, focusing only on those who actively throw themselves at his feet. Little does he know, there's a hidden story unfolding right under his nose, one that could potentially shake his world.
One day, a new twist unfolds in the campus drama. A lottery determines that Satoru and the quiet, unassuming boy are to be paired up for a group project. Uproar and disappointment ripple through the halls, especially among the swooning fans who had hoped for a chance with Satoru.
The quiet boy, on the other hand, is a mix of surprise and confusion. He didn't expect to be paired with the campus heartthrob, the one his crush has been crushing on. Nonetheless, he remains silent, he does not want any drama in his life. He hopes to complete the project all by himself and add Gojo's name on it too.
Despite the disappointment all around, Satoru has another plan. He wants to befriend the quiet boy, not letting him carry the entire workload alone.
His interest in this new companion is more than just courtesy. He sees potential in the quiet, unassuming soul, and he wants to break through the shell of shyness and hesitation. He believes in teamwork, and he wants to show the quiet boy that they can make a great team together.
"Hey, buddy. No need for you to do all the hard work yourself, huh? Let's make a plan, and we'll make this project a piece of cake. So wait for me after school ends ,kay?"
The quiet boy nods uneasily, he hates to be the centre of attention, but whenever Satoru is talking to him or trying to him, everybody gives him a dirty look. Of course they are jealous, why this guy?
On hearing the news, the girl with a crush on the quiet boy rushes to him, her eyes wide with excitement and hope. "Is it true? Are you really working with Satoru?" she asks, desperation in her voice.
The quiet boy nods blushing furiously. "Please, please help me," she pleads, her eyes full of pleading. "I'll meet you outside the girls' changing room later today. I need to talk to you."
The quiet boy, his cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment, can't help but nod again avoiding eye contact.
But, as he agrees to meet his crush, he remembers the promise he made to Satoru. He recalls how Satoru told him to wait after school, but he can't shake the feeling that the busy, popular guy might forget or run late.
His heart tugs between loyalty and desire, Should I wait for Satoru first? Or should I stick to my promise with my crush? he wonders.
In the end, he chooses to wait for his crush, hoping beyond hope that his decision won't backfire.
After school, the quiet boy nervously waits at the designated spot, his heart pounding like a drum. He is earlier than usual he does not want to miss his chance with his dreamgirl. His anxiety heightens as a group of girls, the same ones who gave him dirty looks earlier, walks towards his direction. Panic surges through him, and he decides to hide near the locker room, peeking from the doorway.
As the girls pass by without incident, he breathes a sigh of relief. While the quiet boy nervously waits for his crush, Satoru is diligently keeping his word. He searches the school corridors until he spots the boy hiding near the "girls" changing room. Suspicion flares in Satoru's mind, and he approaches the mysterious rendezvous.
"Oooh, boy, what are you doing here?" Satoru teases, his voice filled with mischief. The quiet boy's heart jumps, caught in the act.
"P-please .. forgive me, I-I" he looks up to see Satoru with his cheeky smile, he lets out a sigh, "Oh.. you scared me"
"Why are you here? I told you to wait for me after school, so why you-.. Oh so are you trying to do some naughty thing here?" Gojo smirks.
"N-no.. I am n-" he is stopped by the sound of footsteps echoing and growing closer.
Just in time, Satoru pulls the boy into a small closet, the space barely fitting their bodies. They listen as the girls enter the room and the quiet boy's heart leaps as he hears the voice of his crush.
They're hidden, but the close quarters send a thrill through the boy. He can feel Satoru's warmth and hear his shallow breaths, his heart pounding in sync. This unexpected intimacy leaves the quiet boy even more flustered than before.
"It's all your fault, Satoru!" he whispers, his face burning with embarrassment, but Satoru chuckles softly, the dimple in his cheek deepening. "Hey, you were the one hiding in here first" he retorts playfully.
Then, their whispers are cut short by the familiar voice of the crush. "Oh, I hear Satoru's voice" she says, disappointment evident in her tone. Her friend pipes up, "Yeah, yeah, you always hear his voice"
The quiet boy's heart sinks as he hears his crush speaking. His only crush continues, her words leaving little to the imagination. "You don't know, I touch myself to thoughts of Satoru, I want him to fuck me, so hard and fast..." She trails off, adding more explicit details.
Satoru's laughter vibrates against the boy's back, his grip tightening ever so slightly. "What a down bad person" he murmurs, his voice low and teasing. The boy feels heat spreading across his face, both from the words and the situation.
Despite the embarrassment, the quiet boy can't deny the effect his crush's words have on him. His body responds, betraying him as he gets hard, brushing against Satoru's hand in the cramped space.
Satoru's laughter dies down, replaced by a low hum of appreciation. "Well, well, someone seems to be enjoying her horny imagination" he says, his voice a seductive rumble. The boy freezes, not sure how to react to this new turn of events. "Tell me do you have a crush on her" he teases.
Satoru does not know why but his hands move without warning, wrapping around the boy's suddenly hardened cock. It's a bold move, and the quiet boy is shocked. He's never even masturbated before, so he quickly covers his mouth to stifle any noise.
This unexpected touch startles and excites him, his breath hitching. Satoru's hands are warm and skilled, moving in a rhythm that sends shivers down the boy's spine. Despite the unusual situation, the quiet boy can't help but lean into the touch.
Satoru continues to tease the boy, his voice thick with amusement. "Imagining fucking her, huh? You're already leaking" he mocks, his fingers slipping beneath the boy's waistband with ease.
The quiet boy's breath hitches as Satoru's warm fingers brush against his most intimate place, his cheeks burning. He never imagined this would happen, but there's no denying the sensation is electrifying. He can't help but wonder how it would feel to be touched like this by his crush. His mind races with thoughts of what could be, his body responding to the taboo experience.
Satoru's fingers glide against him, and the boy bites down hard on his lip to suppress a moan. "But.. she can't make you feel the same way I do" he whispers into his ear, his voice husky and full of promise.
The boy's heart races, his breaths coming faster. He's never experienced anything like this before. He lets out a small moan, tears coming out of his as he is reaching his peak.
Satoru grips his cock tightly helping him to reach his best orgasm, but the boy lets out a loud whimper,
Outside the closet, the girls start whispering, discussing the sound they just heard. "Did you hear that?" his crush asks nervously, concern creeping into her tone.
Satoru reacts instinctively, pressing his lips against the boy's to muffle any further noise.
Their lips touch, soft yet firm, as Satoru continues to pump the boy to completion. The quiet boy's mind fills with a jumble of emotions - shock, arousal, and gratitude. He could taste the sweetness of Satoru's mouth, the connection sending sparks through him.
In this moment, the boy forgets about his all-ever wished girl, lost in the unexpected intimacy with Satoru. The pressure builds within him, the release imminent.
Satoru's kiss is brief, but potent. His lips move swiftly, breaking away just in time to allow the boy to let out a muffled gasp as he reaches his climax. Sweat drips down the quiet boy's forehead, his legs trembling as he comes.
As the aftershocks subside, Satoru pulls away, as the boy catches his breath, he hears his crush's friend snicker. "You're even hearing Satoru moaning, huh?" She teases, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Satoru pulls away, adjusting his clothes, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips. He turns to the quiet boy, his eyes filled with a mix of mischief and warmth. "Did you like it?" he asks, a challenge in his voice.
The guy says nothing, he is too busy in getting over with the effects of the orgams. It's his first time after all.
Satoru listens carefully, hearing the footsteps fade. So he swings the door open, only for the poor boy to lose his balance and fall to the floor.
The quiet boy lies on the floor, his face flushed and sweaty, a testament to the intense experience they just shared. He's a sight to behold, tempting and vulnerable. His limp cock, covered in cum and nestled between his legs, is a clear sign of what just happened.
Satoru swallows hard, his erection straining against his pants at the sight before him. This feeling is unfamiliar, overwhelming. He's never felt this way for anyone, especially not for a boy. The thought that he could be attracted to a guy is foreign, yet undeniable.
Unable to hold back, Satoru unzips himself, his cock springing free. He approaches the boy, his heart pounding in his chest. He kneels before him, captivated by the sight of his cum-covered cock.
Slowly, he takes the boy's soft, sticky member into his hand, his own throbbing erection brushing against it. Satoru can't explain what's happening, but he feels an irresistible urge to claim this boy...
The quiet boy looks up at him, his eyes wide and filled with confusion and desire. He doesn't understand what's happening, but there's no denying the pull between them.
"What are you doing?!" he says in surprise, as Gojo keeps stroking himself against him.
"I want to fuck you" he confesses, his voice hoarse. The boy's eyes widen, shock etching across his features. "Are you crazy? I'm not gay!" he protests.
Satoru meets his gaze, his own eyes filled with sincerity. "Neither am I" he admits, his voice shaking slightly. "But I've never felt like this before. Please, I'll make you feel good."
The quiet boy takes a moment to process Satoru's words. He's never been with a guy before, let alone someone as confident and experienced as Satoru. But there's something in those blue eyes that makes him hesitate, something undeniably earnest.
He swallows hard, glancing down at their hard cocks. "I... I don't know" he murmurs, uncertainty creeping into his voice. "I... I'm not sure if I'm ready for this."
"Let me prepare you" Satoru says softly, his voice steady despite the nervousness echoing through the room. He pulls the boy closer, their bodies brushing intimately.
With gentle deftness, Satoru helps the quiet boy remove the rest of his pants, revealing his enticing ass. He can't help but swallow hard, desire coursing through him.
Reaching out, Satoru lubes his finger with his saliva and gently inserts a finger into the boy's tight entrance. The quiet boy gasps, his body tensing. He winces, the sensation foreign and unexpectedly pleasurable. He lets out a faint whimper, his dick hardening despite the confusion swirling in his mind. This sensation is new, foreign, yet undeniably good.
Satoru adds another finger, his movements slow and deliberate. The boy's eyes flutter shut, his body trembling under Satoru's touch. He's never felt like this before, overwhelmed by emotions and sensations.
"It's okay" Satoru whispers, his voice a soothing balm. "Just trust me."
He adds another finger, his touch steady and reassuring. The quiet boy takes deep breaths, trying to process the barrage of sensations assaulting him. His cock pulses in his hand, hard and eager.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" Satoru asks, his voice laced with quiet triumph. "I promise, I'll make this good for you."
The quiet boy nods, his face flushed and breathless. Despite the confusion, he can't deny the pleasure coursing through him. Satoru's fingers inside him feel strange, yet exhilarating.
"Feels... strange," he admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "But...."
Satoru smiles, his fingers never pausing. He can feel the boy's body slowly relaxing, yielding to his touch. "Just relax, alright? You're doing great."
With a gentle tug, Satoru removes his fingers, the quiet boy's body protesting the loss. But before he can register what's happening, Satoru positions himself between his legs.
Their eyes meet, filled with anticipation and apprehension. With a slow, measured thrust, Satoru enters the boy, his cock sliding smoothly into his tight heat. The quiet boy gasps, his eyes widening in surprise.
Satoru's movements are slow and gentle, his thrusts deliberate. With every stroke, the quiet boy feels a rush of pleasurable sensations. He's never been with a guy before, let alone someone as skilled as Satoru.
"How does it feel?" Satoru asks, his voice husky. The quiet boy bites his lip, his heart pounding. "Unlike anything I've ever felt" he admits, his voice soft.
Satoru nods, his movements slow and gentle. His hands reach up, wrapping around the boy's cock. He strokes it in time with his thrusts, their bodies moving together in perfect harmony.
"Mghh~" the boy moans, his face reddening in heat. He can't believe he's enjoying this, enjoying Satoru's touch. His entire body trembling under the dual stimulation. The sensations are overwhelming, a perfect blend of pleasure and vulnerability.
Embarrassment floods him, his face flushing bright red. He covers his face with a hand, hiding his reaction from Satoru.
Satoru chuckles softly, his thrusts growing more forceful. "You're so beautiful, you know that?" he murmurs, his voice thick with lust.
Satoru trails kisses down the quiet boy's neck, his tongue tracing delicate paths. With his other hand, he reaches inside the boy's shirt, his fingers brushing over his nipple. The boy jolts, a sharp gasp escaping him.
Unable to control his response, he cums, his walls tightening around Satoru's cock.
Satoru groans, his thrusts growing frantic. The quiet boy's reaction fuels his own desire, sending sparks of desire through him.
"Fuck" he breathes out, his voice rough. He slows his thrusts, letting the quiet boy ride out his orgasm. The boy's cum spills over his hand, the sight sending a shiver down Satoru's spine.
His grip on the boy's nipple tightens, his thumb rubbing it in a circular motion. The boy arches, his body trembling under Satoru's touch. "You feel so good" Satoru whispers, his voice thick with desire. "So tight, so warm" he groans, his hips bucking involuntarily. "I can't... I can't take it anymore."
He picks up the pace, thrusting harder and faster. The quiet boy's eyes widen, his body arching with each thrust. His skin glistens with sweat, the room filled with the sounds of their passion.
With a final thrust, Satoru pulls out, the quiet boy gasping for air. His body trembles, still reeling from the intensity of their encounter.
Satoru grips the back of the boy's head, guiding it towards his cock. The quiet boy hesitates, but then closes his eyes, bracing himself. Satoru's release pulses onto his face, hot and sticky. He opens his eyes, a look of surprise crossing his features. Satoru watches, his breath hitched, the boy's face painted with his cum.
Satoru kisses the quiet boy's forehead, gentle and tender. "Your crush wants me, but I want you" he confesses, his voice low. "And don't worry, I'll make our thing public. What do you say? Will you be mine?"
The boy's face is still red, his eyes wide. He thinks for a moment, hesitating. "But what if people—" Satoru cuts him off, placing a finger on his lips. "I don't care about people" Satoru interjects, his voice firm, "I only want you." He looks into the boy's eyes, filled with sincerity and desire. "I want everyone to know you're mine. I want everyone to see what we share, to see how special you are to me."
The boy swallows, his confusion evident. "You really mean that?" he asks, his voice barely above a whisper. Satoru smiles, his eyes shining.
"More than you'll ever know" he promises, his hand cupping the boy's cheek. His heart swells, feeling a sense of pride and joy. This boy, so quiet and innocent, has captured his heart in a way no one else has.
"We'll make it work, alright?" he continues, his gaze steady. "We'll face the world together, hand in hand. I'll protect you, I'll cherish you, and I'll love you until the end of time."
The next day, the quiet boy and Satoru walk through the halls, hand in hand. The sight catches everyone off guard, from girls to boys, jaws dropping in shock. The boy's ex-crush, caught off guard, stares in disbelief.
Satoru doesn't miss a beat. He looks around, his voice ringing with confidence. "Yes, he is my boyfriend" he announces, his tone leaving no room for doubt.
The whispers start, a ripple of shock spreading through the school. Satoru feels the eyes on them, but he doesn't let it bother him. He's made his choice, and he's not backing down.
"Don't worry" he tells the quiet boy, squeezing his hand reassuringly. "They'll get used to it. They'll see that we're happy, that we belong together."
The quiet boy looks up at him, a mix of fear and hope in his eyes. "What if they don't?" he asks, his voice low. Satoru chuckles, a small, reassuring smile playing on his lips. "They'll have to" he replies with a confident smirk. "I'm not the type of person you cross, remember?"
The quiet boy swallows, his heart racing. "But what if they... make fun of us?" he asks, his voice barely above a whisper. Satoru leans in, whispering in his ear.
"We'll show them what we have," Satoru repeats, his voice low and firm. "We'll be stronger together than any rumor or gossip. We'll prove to them that love knows no bounds, that our connection is real and powerful."
The quiet boy takes a deep breath, his grip on Satoru's hand tightening. "Okay," he says, his voice barely audible. "I trust you, Gojo."
Satoru smiles, his heart swelling with warmth. "That's my good boy" he kisses the top of the boy's head, while everyone watches them from confusion to awe.

I don’t know if anyone has asked this before, but the Lin Kuei trio with a reader who works as a military special forces operator? I don’t know but I’d like to think that on tactical terms the Lin Kuei and a military soldier can work pretty well together so I would definitely want to see how this will play out
When Worlds Collide - Lin Kuei x GN!spec-ops!reader (headcanons?)
in which past meets modern warfare
a/n: bro the fact you requested this and i'm getting into COD is INSANE THE TIMING IS AWESOME
ship[s]: none
warning(s): cod x mortal kombat?? ghost reference? soap ref? gaz & price reference??
You are a spec-ops soldier, working with the most elite soldiers in the world under the guidance of the American military. With the Outworld Investigations Agency opened, they're gonna need some manpower....
Introducing you and TF141, so perhaps this is a mk x cod fic??
- all three of the brothers would be very impressed with your records and awards. you are a decorated member, and the fact you are decently younger compared to your coworkers impresses them further
- Tomas asks you questions. lots of them. where you've been, what you've seen, the kills you have (it surprises you he knows the difference in the terms), he even asks others about you
- Bi Han wants to inspect every piece of modern equipment you have. he asks incredibly well-informed questions about the weapons, he even sketches ones that pique his interest the most so he can show his clan back at home
- Kuai Liang is the lucky brother who gets to hold and try the equipment. you and your team watch over him in the gun range as he shoots down practice targets with ease (ninja precision is crazy)
- Tomas and Soap might get along the best. he'd definitely be thrown off by how vulgar the team gets, but he and Soap are very friendly with one another
- Bi Han, Ghost, and Price. those two would be having a blast together talking about manly adult leadership stuff
- Kuai Liang might get along best with Gaz. Something about these level-headed men having a normal conversation in front of neanderthals is refreshing to you, snd you really appreciate that
- teamwork wise, not including the 141, they'd work pretty good with you. you're a great all around: sniper, foot-soldier, hand-to-hand, you know the drills for the shit they go through on the daily
- specifically, you and Kuai Liang would work together with a knowing silence. something like Price and Ghost since those two knew each other for so long. something about you and Kuai covering each other's asses without saying a word means you guys are in perfect sync. i can imagine it (can't you?)
- working with Bi Han is like Price and Soap, or Ghost and Soap. You definitely would try and liven up the mood as you off enemies left and right. Bi Han might actually scold you mid battle, too, expecially talking about distractions
- Tomas is Gaz, and working with him is like nothing but butter sliding smoothly on bread. Tomas is everything in a package: smart, skilled, quick-witted, and level-headed. Tomas knows when it's the right time to do things
- i think you and Bi Han would get into the worst spats and fights when discussing how to further push into battle. i'd say it gets physical, with you ordering him to stand down as the "professionals handle this"
- Kuai Liang and you could also get into some hefty drama and fights too. i think Kuai would actually apologize too, considering that maybe you might have seen more than him
- outside of the missions, everyone gets along well (maybe). when the three lin kuei bros are out drinking with you and your team, that shit is fire. Tomas probably gets drunk first, but that's after maybe five cups of hard ass liquor
- Kuai is next drunk, then Bi Han
- back to mission stuff, when you and the Lin Kuei trio aren't fighting, you guys agree on strategy rather easily. in fact, they like how you pull your strats. Bi Han takes mental notes to implement to the clan
- yeah, that's it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
guys i want to write a COD fic soon, but idk who to start with. after my reqs though
also, school started for me, so writing may be coming slower
see yall in the next fic!
Pool duel
Hi ! Sooo it's my very first time on this app, and also maybe one of my first draft in full english. It's not my native language so if there's some mistakes or syntax inconsistencies, I'm sorry for it. Be free to give me advice or even ideas of what you would like to read !
Enjoy <3
Pov : Y/N and her teammates decompress at The hard Deck's bar after an intense training session in the air. They were in a pair, and as usual, Hangman wanted to show off during the exercise, leaving Y/N and Payback in the lurch.
Rooster x Reader
The Hard Deck was alive with the buzz of laughter and chatter, the jukebox belting out classic rock tunes that mingled with the clinking of glasses. Y/N leaned against the bar, her arms crossed as she sipped her beer, trying to ignore the ever-present voice of Hangman echoing through the room. Phoenix stood beside her, tossing a peanut into her mouth and rolling her eyes at Hangman’s antics.
“I swear, he’s got a special talent for making everything about himself,” Phoenix muttered, loud enough for Y/N to hear but not so loud that Hangman could catch it.
Y/N smirked. “You’d think he’d be tired after pulling all those stunts during training. But no, he’s just warming up.”
Across the bar, Hangman was holding court, his grin as wide as his ego. “I’m just saying, if you’re gonna keep up with me, you’ve gotta think faster. That’s what flying’s all about—quick decisions, sharp instincts. Right, Payback?”
Payback rolled his eyes but kept his cool, leaning back in his chair. “Whatever you say, Hangman.”
“Whatever I say is right,” Hangman quipped, flashing a cocky smile at Y/N. “Isn’t that right, Y/N? You and Payback barely made it out of that last exercise without my help.”
Y/N’s jaw tightened, but she kept her composure. “Maybe next time you can focus less on showing off and more on teamwork, Bagman” she shot back, earning a chuckle from Phoenix.
Hangman’s grin widened. “Teamwork’s great and all, but let’s be real—it’s about who’s got the skill to stand out. Speaking of skills, how about a little pool? Unless you’re afraid to lose again.”
Phoenix nudged Y/N. “Go for it. Wipe that smirk off his face.”
Rooster, sitting nearby with a drink in hand, gave Y/N an encouraging nod. “You’ve got this, sweetheart.”
Y/N set her drink down and strolled to the pool table, picking up a cue with an air of nonchalance. “Alright, Hangman. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
***
The game started, and Y/N deliberately missed her shots, her expression carefully neutral. Hangman’s confidence grew with every ball he sunk, his taunts growing bolder.
“Come on, Y/N. I thought you’d at least make this interesting,” he said, leaning on his cue with a smug grin.
Y/N’s lips twitched into a small smile. “Oh, don’t worry. I will.”
The room seemed to pause as Y/N straightened up and lined up her next shot. With precise, practiced movements, she began clearing the table, one ball after another finding his mark. Hangman’s grin faltered, then disappeared entirely as Y/N sank the final ball with a flourish.
The bar erupted in cheers and applause. Phoenix whooped, her and Y/N high-fiving. “That’s my girl!”
Rooster was on his feet, a proud smile lighting up his face. “You never cease to amaze me, sweetheart.” Rooster then kisses Y/N, to the whistling and applause of the bar crowd.
Hangman’s expression was a mix of disbelief and irritation as he tried to recover. “Alright, alright. Guess you had it in you after all.” Y/N handed him the cue with a sly smile. “Guess you’ll think twice before underestimating me again.”
The rest of the team laughed, their camaraderie filling the bar as Hangman’s ego took a well-deserved hit. Y/N take a sip of her beer, her spirits lifted by the victory and the pride in his eyes. For tonight, the Hard Deck was theirs, and she was exactly where she belonged.
***
Later that night, Y/N is sitting at the bar, alone, watching the bar continue to come alive. Rooster approaches her and leaned in close , his voice low and warm. “That was incredible. I’ve seen you fly, but seeing you hustle him like that? I’m impressed.”
Y/N chuckled, her cheeks flushing slightly. “Wait. Is that means you're not impressed when I fly ?"
“That's not what I'm saying.”
She laugh “It’s all about strategy. Let him think he’s got the upper hand, then strike.”
He grinned, brushing a strand of hair from her face “Remind me to never play pool against you.”
“Oh, come on,” she teased, nudging him lightly. “I’d go easy on you. Maybe.”
“Maybe?” he echoed, leaning closer. “You’re dangerous, Y/N.”
“And you like it,” she shot back with a playful glint in her eye.
Rooster's grin turned mischievous, his voice dropping even lower. “Oh, I do. Especially when you’re bossy. Maybe you could show me how you handle a stick later—might learn to you a thing or two tonight.”
Y/N felt her cheeks heat, but she refused to back down, narrowing her eyes at him with a smirk. “Careful, Bradshaw. Don’t start something you can’t finish.”
Rooster chuckled, the sound melting into the lively atmosphere of the bar. Later that night, Rooster kept his promise...
The marriage simulation program wasn’t just a quirky school experiment to teach life skills—it was a competitive test of teamwork, resourcefulness, and communication. And when your name was paired with Isagi Yoichi’s, the school’s friendly, hardworking soccer star, you didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
“Guess we make a good team, huh?” Yoichi grinned, holding up the assignment sheet with both of your names highlighted.
“Sure,” you said with a forced smile, your stomach twisting. Teamwork wasn’t the issue. Yoichi was great—kind, dependable, and endlessly encouraging. The problem was your not-so-tiny, not-so-manageable crush on him, something you’d buried for years.
And now, living with him for a month? Pretending to be married? It felt like walking a tightrope over your feelings.
The first week was easy enough. Yoichi, ever the optimist, took the tasks seriously: planning “dates” for extra credit, cooking dinner together, and even budgeting for pretend household expenses. You played along, keeping a safe emotional distance while fulfilling every assignment.
But things took a sharp turn when Yoichi came up with his next brilliant idea.
“People are talking about us,” he said one afternoon, scrolling through his phone.
“Talking about what?”
He turned the screen toward you, showing a string of group chat messages.
— Isagi and Y/N look so natural together. Are they really a couple? —They were holding hands yesterday during the task. Maybe it’s real?
Your face grew warm as you looked back at him. “We were holding hands because this stupid test required it!”
Yoichi scratched the back of his head, his sheepish grin doing nothing to calm your nerves. “Yeah, but… people are going to keep asking. And, well, if we tell them we’re actually together, it might stop the rumors.”
You stared at him, stunned. “You want us to tell people we're dating? You want us to fake date?”
“Just until the simulation ends,” he said quickly., as if he couldn't get the words out of his mouth fast enough. “It’s not like it’d be that different from what we’re already doing, right?”
His logic was infuriatingly sound, but it still felt dangerous—like inviting trouble into a house already on fire. Against your better judgment, you nodded. “Fine. But this stays between us.”
“Deal.”
The fake dating went almost too well.
Yoichi was good at playing the doting partner, maybe too good. He’d drape an arm around your shoulders during group outings, laugh at your jokes like they were the funniest thing he’d ever heard, and casually call you nicknames that sent your heart racing.
But when it was just the two of you, the act faded into something quieter, something closer to real. Like when he’d sit next to you during dinner, asking about your day with genuine interest. Or when he’d stay up late helping you with assignments, his focus unwavering.
You told yourself it was just for the simulation. Just part of the act. But deep down, you knew you were falling deeper than ever.
Things hit a breaking point during one of the simulation’s final tasks: a “couples’ interview,” where pairs had to answer questions about each other to test their “compatibility.”
“What’s Yoichi’s biggest dream?” the interviewer asked, her pen poised over her clipboard.
“To become a professional soccer player,” you said without hesitation. “He’s been working toward it for as long as I’ve known him.”
You were grateful for the easy question, everyone knew that about Isagi. Yes, you knew almost everything that had been asked so far too, but you assumed it was basic knowledge to know these things about your partner. (it's not, half of the other groups couldn't answer these questions.)
Yoichi’s eyes widened slightly before he smiled, his expression softening. “Yeah, that’s right. And Y/N's dream is to travel the world someday. They're always talking about all the places they want to see.”
Your chest tightened. You mentioned that once in passing, while the two of you were watching a nature documentary.
You hadn’t expected him to remember.
The interviewer beamed. “You two really know each other well.”
You forced a smile, but the weight of his words lingered long after the interview ended.
As the simulation neared its end, the line between fake and real blurred beyond recognition.
“I think we’ve got the highest score in the class,” Yoichi said one night, leaning against the counter while you washed dishes.
“Yeah,” you replied, your voice quieter than usual.
He noticed, of course. Yoichi always noticed. “Hey, are you okay?”
You hesitated, your hands stilling under the faucet. “What happens when this is over?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean… us. The fake dating. Do we just go back to normal?”
Yoichi’s smile faltered. He looked down at the floor, his usual confidence replaced by uncertainty. “I guess so. That’s what we agreed on, right?”
Your heart ached at his words, even though you’d expected them. “Yeah. Right.”
What did you expect? Isagi Yoichi wasn't the type of person to fall for you.
You were just foolish.
The final day of the simulation arrived, and the apartment felt emptier than ever as you packed your things. Yoichi was unusually quiet, his movements slower than usual as he folded his clothes into his suitcase.
“So… this is it,” you said, forcing a smile.
“Yeah,” he replied, his voice soft. He looked at you, his eyes searching yours like he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.
“Good luck with soccer,” you said, trying to keep your voice steady. “I know you’ll do great.”
“Thanks,” he said, his smile faint. “And I hope you get to see all those places you’ve always dreamed about.”
For a moment, it felt like there was something hanging in the air between you—something fragile and unfinished. But before either of you could speak, the program coordinator knocked on the door, signaling the official end of the simulation.
Yoichi grabbed his suitcase and walked to the door, hesitating briefly before turning back to you. “See you around, Y/N.”
“See you,” you whispered.
And just like that, he was gone, leaving you with an empty apartment and a heart full of questions that would never have answers.
fake dating isagi...yes pls
i hope you liked it!
Celebrating Black History Month
Captain on the Bridge: CAPTAIN MICHAEL BURNHAM
Seasons 4 was our first full season of Michael as captain (finally)! So I'm reflecting on things she did that stood out to me. Also, it's Black History Month! She's our first Black female lead in a Star Trek Series and our first Black female lead captain, played brilliantly by Sonequa Martin-Green.
1. The Queen of Chaotic Ingenuity
Michael is a master of thinking on her feet. If a plan goes awry, she can course correct on the fly (bars). Honestly, we've seen her do this throughout Disco, but as captain, we especially see it in the season opener, Kobayashi Maru, with the Alshain (aka The Butterfly People). When their re-contact mission goes sideways, Michael is able to identify that there is an issue with their navigation and work with her crew to come up with a solution while being chased and shot at.
The Alshain did not report the problem, but by providing them a solution - no strings attached - Captain Burnham was able to win over their trust with the Federation.
2. Collaborator
I love how Michael respects the expertise of her crew and encourages their involvement with problem-solving. Having personally been on teams where collaboration was encouraged, it does a great deal in boosting team morale, building teamwork, and communicating through action that the individual team members' skills and ideas are valued. This is seen best in Anamoly and Stormy Weather. It's also seen with how she suggested to Book that he talk to Dr. Culbert. As a counselor, he's more equipped to manage Book's mental and emotional state after losing Kwejian.
3. Recognizing the needs of her crew
"All In" was one of my favorite episodes this season. The fun, the action, and Owosekun getting to shine. One of my favorite scenes was seeing how Michael responded to Owosekun's outburst with Saru from a previous episode. Instead of choosing to double down with additional punishment or verbal reprimand, she saw an opportunity to allow Owosekun to do more in her service to the mission at hand.
O: Why bring me?
M: Saru told me about what happened at the subspace rift. How you didn't want to stand down when he told you to.
O: I was totally out of bounds. I apologized to him.
M: I know. I also know how it feels to want to do something. Anything. And how it feels when you can't.
Michael recognized Owosekun's actions didn't come from a place of rebellion but a place of wanting to do more to help. Michael found an opportunity to allow her the space to fulfill that desire and utilize that drive.
Also, allowing a place on her ship that provides mental and emotional support for the crew via Dr. Culbert becoming the ship's councilor is the sign of a leader that cares about the whole health of her crew. Yes, I know other captains have had a ship’s counselor. The point it Captain Burnham does too and it deserves recognition.
4. Balancing her heart and duty
Captain Burnham had the challenge of being the supporting partner to the man she loved, who lost his entire home planet while maintaining her commitment to Starfleet. And she did a stellar job. Yes, she loves Book deeply and was willing to do all she could to help him. But when he went rogue, she chose to stay committed to the course of a peaceful first contact, despite it putting her at odds with the love of her life. Furthermore, when she thought Book died (Sonequa gave one of the best performances in Star Trek), she was still able to see the mission through, despite her heartbreak.
5. How she handled the Magistrate
Although empathetic to their plight, Captain Burnham still set clear boundaries with the magistrate about WHO has the authority, what WILL happen while on HER ship, and some food for thought when they arrive to wherever they find refuge. And she didn't have to raise her voice to do it. One's ability to yell at subordinates is not a true show of power and authority.
6. The Beginnings of a Diplomat?
Now we know Michael is a Kirk-type captain. And this season, she does not like politics or politicians. But during season 4, as much as she can’t stand it, we are shown that Captain MB may have the makings of a Diplomat as shown best in All Is Possible and But To Connect.
7. Leading a successful First Contact
Captain Burnham led a first contact like none other. A true first contact with serious stakes riding on its success or failure. After successfully getting through the Galatic Barrier (shout out to Detmer's immaculate piloting) and utilizing her (Michael’s) xenoanthropologic skills to investigate the 10-C's home planet, she along with some of the Federation's best had to figure out how to connect with the 10-C. A truly alien species, where universal translators failed to help with communication and who Starfleet had 0 records of. What makes Captain Burnham stand out is her willingness to step out on faith. She led her team on a mission on the 10-C's home planet to find some form of culture context to aid in their ability to communicate with them. It paid off. It laid the foundation for the first contact team and the USS Discovery crew to help understand how to communicate with the 10-C. Also, it should be noted that Michael admitted to President Rillak that she was angry, but we don't see her anger and frustration run her emotions or hinder her ability to command. I've seen people accuse her of being emotional. There's a difference between emotional intelligence and being emotional.
Also, I admire her recognizing when to take the lead and when to be a team player. As already stated, her calm demeanor and unwavering trust in the crew were excellent in helping them get across the Galatic Barrier. But she also recognized that it was President Rillak's voice that needed to be heard when informing everyone that the DMA moved to the Alpha Quadrant. It takes maturity to know when someone else need to lead and humility to let them lead. All of these actions lead to a successful first contact.
Conclusion:
In closing, Captain Michael Burnham is not the same Michael Burnham we met in season 1. In season 4, she has inner peace. She has a balance with human emotions and her Vulcan-trained logic. She knows who she is and has confidence in herself. Her duty to Starfleet and the Federation is matched with joy in what she's fighting for. Captain Michael Burnham is THE captain of the USS Discovery. No one else.
I want to end with this. There's plenty of room for more than one Black Starfleet captain. We can celebrate Sisko, Burnham, and Freeman in a way that respects them all. There's no need to pit them against each other. They all matter and are important in representing Black people in the future.
Happy Black History Month
Baking a Cake With The 64 Fighters(+ Unlockables)
Smash 64 Fighter x Reader
Chrs: Mario, Yoshi, DK, Link, Samus, Fox, Kirby, Luigi and Captain Falcon
Reader is GN!
Mario:
Baking a cake with Mario is an absolute joy ride. His enthusiasm is infectious as he hums Italian tunes and expertly guides you through the recipe. He’s a natural in the kitchen, treating it like an art form(From Princess Peach's Influence), but also leaving room for fun. He’s constantly taste-testing the batter and frosting with a wink, saying it’s "important to get it just-a right!" You both work seamlessly, though sometimes he gets a bit distracted when he starts tossing dough in the air like he’s flipping a pizza. In the end, the cake is flawless, and Mario proudly presents it as if you’ve both created a masterpiece together.
Yoshi:
Yoshi is incredibly eager to help, though a little clumsy in the kitchen. He loves tasting everything as you go along, sometimes sticking his tongue out too far and accidentally eating part of the ingredients. Despite this, his positive energy keeps you both laughing the entire time. You’ll have to keep an eye on him, though—leave the sugar alone for too long, and Yoshi will have eaten half of it. But once the cake is baked, Yoshi is so excited that he does a little happy dance, making the entire experience heartwarming and full of smiles.
Donkey Kong(DK):
Donkey Kong is surprisingly gentle in the kitchen despite his large frame, rowdyness and strength. He’s determined to help, though you’ll notice he can’t resist tossing bananas into the mix, even if it’s not a banana cake. You work together to mix the ingredients, with DK carefully following your instructions while occasionally sneaking bites of bananas and batter. His favorite part is the decorating—he insists on using extra bananas on top as garnish. In the end, the cake might not be traditional, but it’s definitely delicious and full of DK’s quirky charm.
Link:
Baking with Link is a quiet but calming experience. He’s not too much of a talker, but he follows your instructions with sharp precision, taking everything seriously. He might be a bit unsure about how to bake at first, but once he gets the hang of it, he’s fully focused. You share peaceful moments while mixing the batter and frosting, occasionally exchanging soft smiles. He takes care in every step, as if baking the cake is a mission. When it’s time to decorate, you both enjoy adding personal touches, making the final product as charming as it is delicious.
Samus:
Baking with Samus is efficient and organized(plus you get to see her out of her suit for a while...or at least her beautiful blonde hair as she doesn't have her helmet on). She’s precise with every measurement and action, turning the cake-baking process into a well-structured mission. While she’s not particularly emotional about the process, she surprises you with little moments of fun, like using her arm cannon to quickly whisk the batter or heat the oven. The end result is a cake that’s not only delicious but also expertly crafted. Samus might not be super expressive, but the small smile she gives when she sees the finished cake tells you she enjoyed the experience more than she lets on.
Fox:
Fox is all about teamwork in the kitchen. He takes charge but lets you take the lead where you want. You’ll notice him frequently checking the time and trying to make sure everything is on schedule, like a mission briefing. He’s fast but careful, and his competitive nature shows when he tries to perfect every step. Fox is also surprisingly playful, teasing you about your frosting skills or sneaking a bit of the cake mix while grinning. The cake turns out perfect, and he’s happy to share it with you, giving you a playful nudge, “We make a great team, huh?”
Kirby:
Baking with Kirby is pure chaos in the best way possible. He’s more interested in eating than baking, so you’ll have to keep him from gobbling up the ingredients before they even make it into the bowl. Kirby’s enthusiasm is unmatched, though, and he constantly tries to help—even if it’s just him licking the spoon or cleaning up the leftover frosting. Expect him to inhale bits of the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven, but when he finally settles down to share what’s left, "Poyo!" he’s all smiles and excitement, ready to enjoy your creation together.
Luigi:
Luigi is a little nervous in the kitchen, but he’s incredibly helpful and sweet. He often second-guesses himself, asking, “Is this okay?” or “Are you sure that’s enough?” but he’s so genuine that you can’t help but reassure him. You both share lots of laughter, especially when things go a little off track, like when Luigi accidentally splatters batter everywhere. By the end, the cake might be a little messy, but it’s full of love and care. Luigi is proud of the final product, especially since he got to bake it with you, and he happily shares a piece, blushing a little as he says it turned out great.
Captain Falcon:
Baking with Captain Falcon is intense and high-energy. He approaches the task like a race, moving quickly and shouting things like “Falcon Mix!” as he stirs the batter at lightning speed(whist making a bit of a mess). His enthusiasm is contagious, and you both end up laughing as he tries to make everything as epic as possible, even when it’s something simple like cracking an egg. The cake is finished in record time, and though it may not be the most neatly made, it’s definitely delicious. Falcon pats you on the back, grinning wide, “We totally smashed it!”
You've established that Odile has rather unhinged taste in people. Do you have further headcanons on that topic?
Hm... Most of the adjacent headcanons that I could talk about here would require a lot of psychological and cultural context. So let's just talk about that context!
As a child, Odile was disconnected from her peers due to heritage, temperament, and latent transgenderism. As lonely children sometimes do, she decided that she didn't need or want friends anyway, and even if she did, it wouldn't be any of these losers! They were always wasting their time on fun and social useless things that she was too weird smart and special to be invited want to do. She studied very hard and excelled in school, did a couple extracurriculars that didn't require much teamwork, and at some point during adolescence realized that unfortunately the Vaugardians were correct about the changing genders thing.
Ka Buan philosophy encourages people to understand themselves, refine themselves, explore different facets of themselves — but not change themselves, because fundamental characteristics simply cannot be changed. Accordingly, gender-noncomforming fashion and binding/padding and nicknames are fine, hormones and surgery/bodycraft and declaring yourself a different gender are not. But Odile wasn't one to let social mores stop her, so once she reached adulthood, she left her hometown and showed up at the city as Odile. And not just any city, but one with a reputation for cutting-edge craft research and certain countercultures.
You can't just show up and ask around for where the illegal bodycrafting is, though. You have to meet people, win their trust, let them introduce you to other people, repeat. Odile... honestly wasn't that great at it. She hadn't had much cause to practice social skills, so she wasn't very friendly or persuasive! But she was determined, thorough, confident, passionate, genuine in her intentions, and newly hot — and you can get away with a certain amount of blunt arrogance when you're hot. You just have to let people assume you're too cool and busy for humble niceties, which Odile did quite easily, because she's always thought of herself as such. So she found her way through the right queer punk circles eventually and completed her physical transition!
And she liked those circles. The people she met and the topics they discussed and the things they did were all so much more interesting than she had assumed any peers of hers could be! But she still considered herself more competent and correct than anyone else around her, because why would that change just because she moved? Her success in transitioning just further proved that she could do anything if she tried hard enough, that she was right all along in assuming her social failures were due not to lack of skill but last of interest. So she ended up in this dynamic where she was impressed by the people around her and wanted to have fun with them and learn more about them, but also thought herself better than them and above such things as kindness or friendship.
And she was in that "holy shit I'm surrounded by dykes and I'm a dyke now too" stage that some queer people experience after they come out.
So, she wasn't interested in boring. She wasn't interested in nice. She wasn't interested in regular people with regular concerns, like the peers who excluded her in her youth. She wasn't interested in romance or committed relationships or being emotionally vulnerable.
And, she wasn't put off by annoyance, because people annoyed her as a whole anyway. She wasn't put off by danger, because she was sure she could handle anything. She wasn't put off by clashing personalities, because it wasn't like she was planning to go on long walks on the beach with any of her partners anyway.
Thus, she found herself drawn to the most exciting people in the room. Interpersonal drama, emotional outbursts, poorly-thought-out-choices, intense obsession, risky hobbies... it was all oh-so thrilling! Of course, she did realize that the people she was attracted to had major, glaring flaws. But Odile was determined, thorough, confident, passionate, genuine in her intentions, and newly hot. If she couldn't fix them, who could?
We know from Odile's optional sidequest that when she sees something suspicious, she dedicates herself to solving the mystery. We know from her presence at Mirabelle's side that when she sees a problem, she steps in to help, because if you want something done right you do it yourself. The one major exception? The topic that has her backing down, giving up, confessing incompetence?
Emotions.
She has long since learned that she is not actually very good at fixing those.
#odile: i am so much better than all these messy bitches#odile: [the messiest bitch of them all]#sometimes.. trying to fix them..... makes them worse#esp when you're observant and clever but not very experienced with social-emotional skills but not willing to admit your own faults#and also maybe have a biased view of what's even a problem to begin with#tbh tho i think she thinks she was worse than she really was#like people change each other all the time for good or for ill#she's not necessarily uniquely terrible for failing to have the exact effects on people that she was aiming for#plus she remembers the worst moments and assumes that's what she must have always been like#when sometimes she rly did have a net positive effect#and more often she had no lasting effect at all#she still thinks she's so special 🙄#:3#isat#odile#isat odile#in stars and time#thoughts about odile#ask meme answers#thoughts
I'm new at this so please can you read the personality of jungwon enhypen
Enhypen Jungwon Personality
***DISCLAIMER***
I do not know these idols personally! This is just my interpretation of the cards that I pulled, please take this reading with a grain of salt. For entertainment purposes only.
( day/month/year - 9/11/24 )
Jungwon's Personality
Personality: ( 9ow/3pent/Magician/Aos,Qoc,6worev/9pentrev/5swo/Kniofswo/ )
I have a lot to say about him lmao, he's very complex, let's get into it. Jungwon shows a lot of resilience in the face of struggles, even if he's going through a difficult time, he'll still give 100% effort. Even when he gets knocked down, he's not one to give up, it would take a lot to get rid of him lol. There's a lot of determination here, and he seems quite guarded and suspicious of other people. This may come from tough past periods in his life, and it's made him stronger and more willing to fight for what he wants. Jungwon is a team player, he likes working with a team and has great teamwork skills, which makes sense since he's the leader. He's someone who thrives when he's working and feels deeply connected to his job. Communication is a strong suit here, and he has a lot of pride in his group. Jungwon is extremely driven and more intelligent than people may think, very charismatic. Yeah, in almost all of these cards is determination, he does not play about getting the job done lol and he will not give up. He's very logical and brings clarity to situations, someone who would be a mediator in arguments. Someone who values their head over their heart when making decisions. With the Queen of cups, Jungwon is very compassionate and in tune with other people's feelings, he's a very sensitive and loving person, someone that people would go to to express their feelings. He struggles with adapting to changes, struggles to let go of the past. I'm also getting stagnation here which is interesting since I also got that in my Jake reading. It's possible Enhypen as a group is going through a frustrating period where they feel they aren't going as fast as they would like to, and being held back and restricted. They feel like they aren't progressing. Yeah, he seems very guarded, may have difficulties opening up to and trusting other people. He's not feeling fulfilled, generally speaking, he might be someone who spends a lot of money, materialistic. Tbh he might be a bit confrontational and I'm getting a bit of a smug vibe here. He's very ambitious and wants to win no matter the cost, extremely competitive to the point where it might not be healthy. With the knight of swords, he is witty, decisive, and prone to being impulsive with his decisions. Honestly, I don't think people give him enough credit for how smart he is, logically and emotionally. Definitely more intelligent than how people perceive him.
I asked for some negative traits as I believe it's important to remember that idols are also people, complex people and are not perfect. ( 8swrev/knightpent/justice/kingpent/kiofcups/sun )
Jungwon is his own biggest critic, he's very tough on himself and might have some self-deprecating thoughts at times. Again, I'm getting that he's still living in the past and misses those periods. I got knight of pentacles which is interesting because it signifies hard work, I'm going to interpret this as Jungwon working too hard, pushing himself too far. He might focus too much on the logical side of things and end up ignoring or disregarding other people's feelings and emotions. Can be passive-aggressive, like would pretend it didn't bother him but make subtle jabs. He does seem materialistic, has a strong value for money and material wealth. I definitely think he's not as positive or bubbly off-camera, which isn't necessarily a bad thing depending on how you see it. There's definitely a lot of his personality that isn't shown, nothing too crazy, just the 'non idol like' part.
Isagi and his Football Theories of Personality
I knew at some point in this manga we will have an intervention of personality types attached to players based on how they play lol.
Sometimes I really think that the author himself has read numerous books about psychology such as Theories of Personality by Feist. How did I have a random thought like this? Just looked at Isagi's inner monologue about World Type Ego and Self-Type Ego.
That is the closest thing you can compare it to the MBTI of people.
At first it's amusing to read to have Isagi categorized the players according to what motivates them to play soccer. But it's also creative because the author is injecting another angle and subject other than playstyle and strategies out there in the field.
An explanation of World Type Ego vs. Self Ego Type is also helping the reader to get a glimpse of the character's motivation and reasons for playing that sport.
In this chapter, it is revealed that Kaiser has a World Type Ego just like with Isagi since in the previous chapters he couldn't ascertain which type he is alongside with Rin, Ness and the others. To get a gist of it, a World Type Ego is motivated by the external factors of their surroundings or environment such as prestige, fame, money and other tangible elements that can be calculated and explained in a pragmatic sense. From the start, reputation is an important thing to Kaiser. He doesn't hesitate to immediately assert his top and special position in BM when the Blue Lock players such as Isagi and the others joined their team in NEL. In the recent chapter, Kaiser had shown to abandon everything and go back to "zero" because his playstyle with Ness doesn't work anymore. His position and offer bid is being now threatened by Isagi's presence and skills so now he decided to do what is best even if he doesn't do it usually: teamwork with the other Blue Lock players such as with Raichi and now with Kunigami (or as the orange haired guy as he aptly calls him lol).
Well, in this part you can actually ask then what the hell is all of this and how does it connect with everything?
It's connected because this can also explain why his partnership with Ness is now in shambles and getting worse in each new chapter. Clearly Ness and Kiyora's type is not revealed yet. But well, as a reader we can prolly surmise what Ness and Kiyora is which brings me to the other type of ego according to Isagi: Self Type Ego.
According to what is being explained in the franchise, their motivation is determined by internal or intrinsic factors such as their beliefs, morally right or wrong actions and other personal factors that are important to them rather than the external and pragmatic factors. From the moment we were shown of Ness' character, his interpretation of events and surroundings around him is according to his personal values and beliefs. He makes decisions based on what he feels at that moment and that's a clashing thing to his family who greatly values logic and sound reasoning above everything else.
He decides to follow Kaiser because he sees a potential in him that no one else has and showed him the "miracle" of soccer. His interpretation of his character is independent from the other people's remarks about him being a diva and an asshole. His personal belief about Kaiser is so great as the statue of Liberty that it extended to great lengths of serving him until the end.
Which is quite ironic because in reality they really don't understand each other and their judgment of each other is distorted. For all Kaiser yapping that he molded Ness into being his servant and such, he doesn't really understand him in the end which explains his bafflement in the last chapter of the manga when Ness still declared his loyalty to him despite discarding him out there in the field. One can be the said to the other as well because his reassurance to Kaiser is the last thing that Kaiser wants to hear or see from him and fails to see the bigger picture which is now they're in this mess in the field because they're motivations are clashing: World Type Ego vs. Self Type Ego.
I remember someone asking me, but what about Reo? He's the same with Ness right?
Not really.
Isagi has put Reo in the World Type Ego because first and foremost his original motivation is to win the World Cup which is an external motivation alongside with prestige and money. Reo is shown to be a logical and strategic person well, except for Nagi when he met him. But he is different from Ness. Their situation is different.
That's why when Nagi is losing motivation to play soccer again after beating Isagi and offering the millions of bid that he can gain to motivate him, it doesn't move Nagi as much because he doesn't need it. Nagi is motivated by intrinsic factors in playing soccer and that's why he was clashing with Reo at times. This is quite evident during the second selection.
Well, I can already guess what Kiyora's type of ego is but I'll reserve my judgment on that after we get more from his character in the future chapters.
Guess this is where this ends and my shower thoughts. If you've reached this part then congratulations for wasting your precious time to read this ramblings of mine.
Analysis of Chapter 286 of Blue Lock
Chapter 286 of Blue Lock represents a turning point in the story, highlighting both character development and the evolution of teamwork within BM. The following are the most significant aspects:
Isagi and Kaiser’s Synergy: A Paradigm Shift
The collaboration between Isagi and Kaiser is the central theme of this chapter. For the first time, these two previously fierce rivals achieve spectacular synchronisation, inspiring the entire Bastard Munchen team. This change marks a “new era” in the narrative, symbolising how rivalries can transform into unifying and effective forces. Their description as “machines working towards victory” underscores the calculated precision and efficiency of their cooperation, which proves devastating for PXG.
Rin Itoshi: The Strategist’s Rebirth
Rin Itoshi, despite being the initial focus of the chapter, is taken aback by Isagi and Kaiser’s collaboration. His reaction stems not from personal jealousy but from professional rivalry and the unpredictability of this alliance. Known for his fierce individualism, Rin faces a reality where teamwork seems to be the future of competitive football. This moment may also plant the seed for his own development, compelling him to reassess his approach to the game.
Brilliant Tactics: PXG’s Counterattack
PXG does not hold back. The inclusion of Karasu and Charles as key blockers against Isagi and Kaiser’s shots creates a fascinating balance in the match. Karasu, with his logic and analytical skills, anticipates crucial movements, while Charles, with his mischievous yet effective style, shows that adaptable geniuses exist outside of Japan. This contrast emphasises the diversity of footballing philosophies in Blue Lock and how different styles can coexist and compete within the same match.
Visual and Narrative Impact: Moments to Remember
Key Points: The narrative is elevated through commentary on social media, which reinforces the public’s perception of the match. This technique not only adds a touch of realism but also showcases how viewers interpret the game’s progression, adding a social dimension to the showdown.
Final Pages: Tension reaches its peak as both teams’ plays culminate in unexpected blocks. The appearances of Karasu and Charles at critical moments introduce thrilling twists, maintaining suspense and anticipation for what lies ahead.
The Art of Balance: Individualism and Cooperation
This chapter raises a fundamental question: Is individualism or teamwork the path to greatness? While Rin embodies the struggle to surpass individual limits, Isagi and Kaiser demonstrate how collaboration can redefine the game. The series continues to delve into these ideas, offering a narrative that is not only thrilling but also deeply reflective about the sport and human nature.
With its attention to detail and ability to balance action and introspection, Blue Lock continues to establish itself as a work that transcends the sports genre. This chapter, in particular, shows how the series keeps innovating and surprising, leaving readers on the edge of their seats.
The Masquerade.
fictober masterlist || ask me anything <3
authors note - this was actually one of my favourite concepts to write, i'm not sure why but i think it was because of all the angst that it's filled with...
word count - 10.5k (sheesh…)
in which, your friend drags you along to a high school reunion halloween party, which you one hundred percent do not feel in the mood to attend, but his nagging doesn't hold off, so being the good friend you are, you give into his nagging. a shocking revelation occurs when your ex walks through the door who you as well as everyone else didn’t expect to turn up leading to a confrontation that's nothing but emotional.
trope: exboyfriend!harry
Teaching ten-year-old girls football has been your lifelong dream, a passion that ignited when you were just a child yourself. You remember the sheer joy and exhilaration the sport brought you, until that fateful day when you got tackled and broke your leg at the age of nineteen. That incident left you with an indelible fear of playing again, but it couldn't extinguish your love for the game. So, you decided to channel your passion into a different path - you pursued a degree in football coaching.
Now, as you stand on the field, overseeing a group of eager young girls, you can't help but smile. You see a reflection of your younger self in their bright eyes, full of curiosity and excitement. The thrill of imparting your knowledge and nurturing their love for the sport is immeasurable.
You've learned from your own experience that winning isn't everything. It's about fostering a love for the game and helping these girls develop both as players and as individuals. When they win, your heart swells with pride, knowing you've played a part in their success. But when they face defeat, you're not too harsh on them. Instead, you use those moments as opportunities for growth.
Your training sessions are carefully designed to balance skill-building with fun. You know that at this age, it's essential to keep them engaged and enthusiastic. So, you blend drills and exercises with playful activities that make learning enjoyable. You've seen firsthand how this approach helps the girls not only improve their football skills but also develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
As you watch them practice and play, you often reminisce about your own playing days, feeling a pang of nostalgia mixed with pride. Despite your personal setback, you've found a way to stay connected to the sport you love and make a meaningful impact on these young athletes' lives. It's not just about winning or losing; it's about nurturing their passion, teaching them resilience, and giving them the tools to succeed both on and off the field.
You're living your dream, not as a player but as a coach, and the smiles on those girls' faces when they score a goal or make a brilliant pass make every moment, every training session, and every challenge worth it.
As the final whistle blows, you gather the girls into a huddle at the centre of the field, the bright sunlight casting a warm glow around your circle. You can see a mixture of emotions on their faces, some tired but determined, others a bit disappointed, but all eager to hear your thoughts.
You begin with a smile, looking at each of them with pride.
"Alright, team, gather around!" you say, your voice filled with encouragement. "I want you to know how proud I am of each and every one of you out there today. You showed great spirit and determination, and that's what counts."
One of the girls, Sarah, raises her hand eagerly. "Coach, I scored my first goal today! I was so excited!"
You beam at her. "That's fantastic, Sarah! Your goal was brilliant. You showed excellent positioning and a great sense of timing. Keep it up!"
Mia chimes in, "Coach, I made some good passes, didn't I?"
You nod appreciatively. "Absolutely, Mia. Your passes were spot on. You demonstrated great vision on the field, and that's a crucial skill."
As you continue, you make sure to acknowledge the efforts of each player, whether it was a solid defensive play, a remarkable save by the goalkeeper, or simply the teamwork they displayed throughout the game. You want them all to feel valued and recognized for their contributions.
"Team," you say, "remember, winning is great, but it's not the only measure of success. We learn and grow from every game, whether we win or lose. Today, we saw incredible teamwork, and that's something we can always build on."
Sophie, one of the quieter girls, raises her hand tentatively. "Coach, what can we improve on?"
You smile at her eagerness to learn. "Sophie, that's an excellent question. We can work on our passing accuracy and defensive positioning. But remember, it's all part of the journey. We're here to improve together."
The huddle breaks with a round of applause for their efforts, and the girls leave the field with their heads held high.
You finish up with the girls' soccer practice, feeling a sense of fulfilment from a productive day on the field. However, you're also aware of the impending challenge of getting home, thanks to your recent leg injury. You remember that your best friend, Jamie, had promised you a ride, and that brings a sigh of relief.
You spot Jamie leaning against his car, a friendly grin on his face as he watches you approaching. His presence is like a beacon of support. As you get closer, you can't contain your excitement and rush over to him, throwing your arms around him in a bone-crushing hug.
"Jamie!" you exclaim, your voice filled with genuine joy. "It's so good to see you! How was your holiday?"
Jamie returns the hug with enthusiasm, his voice laced with excitement. "Oh, it was amazing! You wouldn't believe the places I got to explore and the food I got to try. But honestly, I've missed you so much!"
You step back from the hug, both of you wearing wide smiles. "I missed you too, buddy. And thanks a million for coming to pick me up. You're a lifesaver."
Jamie chuckles, giving you a playful nudge. "No problem at all, mate. That's what best friends are for, right? Let's get you home comfortably."
As you both hop into the car, the conversation flows effortlessly. You catch up on the latest news, sharing stories and laughter like you always do. The car ride feels like a warm reunion, and you can't help but be grateful for having such a dependable and caring friend like Jamie.
As the car ride continues, Jamie glances over at you with curiosity. "So, what are your plans for tonight?"
You lean back in the comfortable car seat, enjoying the familiarity of the conversation.
"Well," you start, "first things first, I need to head home and have a quick shower. I've been running around with the girls all afternoon, and I must be a bit of a mess."
Jamie chuckles, understanding the need for a post-practice refresh. "Sounds like a plan. And then?"
You smile, thinking about your precious daughter. "After the shower, it's time to drop Lilah off at her dad's place. She's with my sister right now."
Jamie nods, his eyes reflecting empathy. "How's she doing these days?"
You sigh, a mix of emotions flooding over you. "She's growing up so fast, Jamie. Four years old already, and she's as curious and energetic as ever. It's a bit tough juggling everything, but it's all worth it for her."
Delilah Rae (Y/L/N)-Cooper.
When you were twenty five, to celebrate the new year you had gone out with Jamie, his boyfriend as well as your sister, the four of you had gone up London to see the fireworks at the Thames.
That was where you met Levi Cooper.
The two of you spent the night together after both of you had a bit too much to drink at the club, you kept catching each other's eyes from across the rooms, his blue coloured eyes locking onto yours and the rest was history.
The two of you did keep in touch after your impromptu meeting, well you suppose you had to seeing as you were having his baby. The one night you spent together had given the two of you an eighteen year commitment.
He was shocked at first that you were pregnant, but he was nothing but supportive, every prenatal class he was by your side, every scan he was sat at the side of the bed and when your waters broke and you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl he sobbed.
The two of you did try to date, but it just seemed that the two of you were just better at being friends.
He was engaged now to a lovely women named Eloise.
Jamie gives you a supportive pat on the shoulder. "You're an amazing parent, you know that, right?"
You blush a little at the compliment. "Thanks, J. I'm just trying to do my best for her."
As the car ride with Jamie continues, he leans over with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, guess what? The high school reunion is tonight!"
You immediately shake your head with a firm resolve. "No way, Jamie. I'm not going to that."
Jamie raises an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "Oh, come on! It could be a blast. We haven't seen some of those folks in ages!"
You let out a sigh, knowing that Jamie won't easily accept your refusal. "Jamie, there's really no reason for me to go. I've moved on from all that high school drama."
He grins, persistent in his efforts. "But it's a chance to catch up, see where everyone ended up, share stories..."
You shoot him a knowing look. "Jamie, we've got Facebook for that. Besides, I'm perfectly content with my life now."
Jamie continues to plead, "Think of the nostalgia, the old memories..."
You chuckle, shaking your head again. "Nostalgia isn't enough to make me want to relive those awkward teenage years, Jamie."
He's not giving up easily, leaning closer and trying a different approach. "What if I promise to be your wingman all night?"
You raise an eyebrow in mock disbelief. "And what, introduce me to every person there as 'the one who didn't want to come'?"
You arrive home with Jamie, your key poised to open the door. You're eager to see your precious daughter, Delilah, who's been anxiously waiting for your return after her day with your sister. The door swings open, and before you can even step inside, you hear the pattering of little feet.
"Mommy!" Delilah exclaims, her face lighting up with pure joy as she runs straight into your open arms.
You scoop her up, her tiny arms wrapping tightly around your neck, and you pepper her face with a thousand kisses. "Oh, my sweet Lilah-bug, I missed you so much!"
Delilah giggles, her laughter filling the room. "I missed you too, Mommy!"
Jamie watches the heartwarming reunion with a smile, his eyes filled with warmth and happiness.
"Hey, Delilah," he says, crouching down to her level. "I missed you too."
Delilah looks at Jamie with curiosity, her innocent eyes studying him for a moment before breaking into a shy smile. "Hi, JJ!”
As you enjoy the family reunion with Delilah and Jamie, your sister Abigail walks into the room with a warm smile. "Hey, how was your day?"
You return her smile. "It was good, Abi. The footy practice went well, and now I'm just happy to be home."
Abigail looks at Jamie with a playful grin. "And what about you, Jamie? How have you been?"
Jamie chuckles, leaning back in his chair. "Well, it was a lot of travelling, but it's all worth it to spend time with these two."
You nods in agreement, then turns you attention to Delilah. "So, sweetheart, what did you and Auntie Abigail do today?"
Delilah's eyes light up with excitement. "We played in the park, and Auntie Abigail pushed me on the swings really high! It was so much fun!"
Abigail laughs, ruffling Delilah's hair affectionately. "That's right, we had a blast at the park. And afterward, we baked some delicious cookies, didn't we?"
Delilah nods vigorously. "Yep! I helped mix the dough, and we even had chocolate chips in them!"
You all gather in the cosy living room, Delilah on your lap, her blonde curly hair tickling your fingers as you brush through it. Abigail breaks the comfortable silence with a practical question, "So, what time does Lilah need to be at Levi's?"
You glance at your watch and reply, "Half past six should be good."
Jamie, ever the talkative one, chimes in enthusiastically, "Perfect! That works because the reunion starts at seven!"
Abigail's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. " reunion? What are you talking about?"
You roll your eyes playfully at Jamie, thinking he's just teasing. "He's talking rubbish, as usual."
But Jamie jumps in again, this time with a more serious tone. "No, seriously, there's a school reunion tonight."
Abigail looks genuinely surprised. "A school reunion? Why wasn't I informed?"
You sigh, not thrilled with the idea. "Honestly, I'd rather just sit at home and relax."
Abigail, ever the one to push you out of your comfort zone, raises an eyebrow. "Come on, it might be fun! You need a good night out."
You let out a reluctant sigh, knowing your sister's right. "Alright, fine, we'll think about it."
Abigail's eyes twinkle mischievously. "Who knows, you might even rekindle something with a certain someone."
You give her a knowing look, realising exactly who she's referring to. "Abigail, we broke up in high school. It's been ages."
Jamie joins in with a laugh. "You never know, sparks might fly."
In the midst of the bustling high school hallway, you stand at your locker, neatly organising your books for the next class. The sound of lockers slamming and laughter fills the air, creating a lively atmosphere.
Suddenly, you feel two warm arms wrap around your waist from behind, and the familiar scent of Harry Styles' aftershave instantly captures your senses.
With a playful giggle, you turn your head to the side, your eyes meeting his.
"Well, hello there, Mr. Styles," you tease, a hint of a smile playing on your lips.
Harry's emerald green eyes twinkle mischievously as he leans in closer. "Couldn't resist sneaking up on you, m’darlin’. Y’look t’cute sorting y’books."
You blush at the compliment, playfully batting your eyelashes. "Flattery will get you everywhere, you know."
Harry's lips brush against your earlobe as he whispers, "Everywhere, y’say? might have t’take advantage ‘f’that."
You can't help but laugh, your heart swelling with affection for the charming boy who has stolen your heart. "Harry Styles, you're incorrigible."
He grins, leaning in to press a gentle kiss on your cheek. "Only when it comes to you, babe."
/ /
Harry stood in his cosy kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air as he watched the snow gently fall outside the window. It had been a while since he'd seen Ellis, his best mate from high school, and he was glad for the company on this chilly day.
They had grabbed coffee together in the morning, before deciding to have a little walk around the twin they both grew up in.
Ellis sipped her own coffee and leaned against the kitchen counter, looking thoughtful. "you remember the school reunion is tonight, right? What time is it starting?"
Harry stirred his coffee, a pensive expression on his face. "Ye’, m’remember. S’supposed t’be at seven, but m’not sure if m’gonna go."
Ellis raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Not going? Why not?"
Harry sighed, his gaze distant as he remembered the old days. "I don't know, El. S’been ages since I've seen those people. M’not sure I'll fit in anymore."
Ellis chuckled, taking another sip of her coffee. "Mate, you're Harry Styles. You could fit in anywhere."
Harry gave a small smile but still seemed uncertain. "S’not about fitting in, really. S’just... v’moved on from that time in m’life, y’know?"
Ellis nodded in understanding. "I get it, Haz. But it could be fun to catch up, see how everyone's doing."
Harry considered his friend's words. "Yeah, maybe. We'll see."
As the snow continued to fall outside, Harry contemplated the idea of attending the high school reunion. It was a chance to reconnect with old friends and revisit memories, but he couldn't help but wonder if he'd truly find his place in a world that had changed so much since those school days.
You sit in your cozy bedroom, the soft glow of natural light filtering in through the curtains, as you prepare to apply your makeup. Your vanity mirror reflects your anticipation, and you're ready to transform your look for the day.
With a steady hand, you pick up your favorite foundation and begin to blend it evenly across your skin, creating a flawless canvas. As you work, you can't help but appreciate the therapeutic rhythm of the makeup application process.
Next, your eyes catch the eyeshadow palette you've chosen for today's look. With precision, you carefully sweep the hues across your eyelids, creating a captivating blend of colors that complements your style.
You reach for your mascara, preparing to enhance your lashes, making your eyes pop and adding a touch of allure to your gaze. Each stroke brings you one step closer to the final result you envision.
A hint of blush adds a healthy flush to your cheeks, while a sweep of your favorite lipstick completes your look. You can't help but smile as you admire the transformation you've achieved, feeling confident and ready to take on the day.
Your boyfriend at the time, is lounging on your bed, wearing nothing but his boxers. It's one of those mornings after he stayed over, and you're getting ready for school, sitting at your vanity and applying makeup.
As you focus on your makeup routine, you can't help but hear Harry huffing behind you. You ignore it at first, thinking it's just one of his playful quirks. But when he huffs again, you can't help but turn and ask, "What's your issue, Harry?"
He shifts on the bed, looking earnestly at you. "Y’don't need makeup, y’know. Y’already beautiful."
You smile, appreciating his sentiment. "Thanks, baby. But makeup just makes me feel better about myself."
He's not willing to let it go, and he comes up behind you, draping his arms over your shoulders and leaning down so both of you are in view of the vanity mirror. "Seriously, y’don't need it. Y’stunning without it."
You meet his gaze in the mirror, his green eyes filled with genuine affection.
He takes a makeup wipe from your vanity, turning your chair around so that you're facing him. With a slow, deliberate motion, he starts wiping away the makeup from your face. His touch is gentle, and his eyes never leave yours.
As the last traces of makeup disappear, he smiles softly. "See, there y’are, just as beautiful as I knew y’be."
You can't help but laugh, appreciating his effort to make you feel special.
He presses a loving kiss to your forehead, his arms still wrapped around you. "And that's why I love you."
Just as you're finishing up, your daughter, with her unruly curls and a cheeky smile that reminds you so much of her father, rushes into the room. She stands at your side, her eyes wide with curiosity.
You scoop her up and place her on your lap, where she traces the outline of your lipstick with her tiny finger before gently tracing the eyeliner around your eyes.
With a tilt of her head, Delilah grins mischievously. "Mummy, you don't need makeup."
Her words strike a chord deep within you, reminding you of a time long ago when a certain someone had said the same thing. A sense of déjà vu washes over you, and you can't help but smile at the memory.
You ask her, "Why do you say that, sweetheart?"
Delilah looks up at you with those big, innocent eyes. "Because you're beautiful."
As Delilah kisses your nose, you can't help but smile at her sweet gesture.
Levi, her father, may not be present at this moment, but you're grateful for the strong co-parenting relationship you have, which allows Delilah to feel loved and secure.
However, as Delilah's innocent words about your beauty echo in your mind, you can't shake the feeling of déjà vu, reminiscent of your first love, Harry Styles. Your heart aches at the memory of the deep connection you once shared with him, even though you're no longer together.
As you make your way down the stairs, Jamie is waiting for you, dressed in a sharp suit and a warm smile.
Jamie had offered to drive you to Levi's, knowing that your heels might not be the best for walking. He greets you with a friendly grin and says, "Looking stunning, as always."
The dress that Jamie had picked out of your closet was an emerald green one that hugged your body in all the right places. You didn’t exactly know what the colour theme for the Masquerade party was, but you trusted your best friend with his decisions.
You chuckle and adjust Delilah in your arms. "Thanks, J. And thanks for the lift. It's much appreciated."
Delilah, clutching her beloved bunny, looks up at Jamie with a bright smile. "Hi, JJ!"
Jamie leans in and ruffles her hair playfully. "Hey DD. Are you ready to have some fun with your dad?"
Delilah nods eagerly, her excitement contagious. You feel a pang of nostalgia thinking about the family dynamics that have evolved over the years.
The three of you leave the front door behind, the night sky gently illuminated by the soft glow of streetlights. You carefully place Delilah in the car seat that Jamie has in his car, a familiar seat from their countless playdates together. Her eyes are droopy, the weight of a busy day finally catching up to her. You press a loving kiss to her forehead before making your way to the passenger front seat.
Jamie takes the wheel, and the car pulls out of the driveway, embarking on the journey to Levi's place. The cityscape passes by in a blur of lights, creating a serene backdrop to the silent drive. The gentle hum of the engine and the occasional soft lullaby playing on the radio are the only sounds that fill the car.
Delilah's eyelids grow heavier with each passing mile, her breathing steady as she drifts into a peaceful slumber. You glance over at her, a feeling of warmth and contentment washing over you as you watch your daughter sleep, knowing that you're on your way to reunite her with her father. The car moves steadily through the quiet night, a soothing rhythm that lulls you into your own thoughts
As Jamie pulls the car to a stop outside Levi's house, you turn to him and explain, "I'll just five minutes. I need to get her sorted."
Jamie nods in understanding, giving you an assuring smile. "Take your time. I'll wait right here."
You unbuckle your sleeping daughter from her car seat, noticing how her head has lulled to the side, and her tiny thumb has found its way to her mouth. Gently, you lift her into your arms, making sure not to jostle her. She snuggles closer to you, still lost in the embrace of a deep slumber.
Carefully, you shut the car door behind you as quietly as possible, not wanting to disturb her peaceful rest. With Delilah cradled on your hip, you make your way towards Levi's house,
You stop outside Levi's front door, taking a deep breath before ringing the doorbell. You wait patiently, giving it a minute and a half before the door finally swings open. Levi stands there, leaning against the door frame, a smile of genuine warmth spreading across his face as he sees the two of you.
His eyes light up when he notices Delilah fast asleep in your arms. He reaches out to take her gently, pressing a loving kiss to her forehead. Delilah instinctively snuggles in closer to his neck, her tiny thumb still in her mouth.
Levi, cradling her in his arms, starts to sway his hips back and forth, a nostalgic smile on his face as if she were a baby all over again. He whispers, "Hey, little one, how long have you been asleep?"
You reply with a soft chuckle, "She fell asleep on the car ride over."
Levi continues to sway, his voice filled with tenderness. "Oh, my sweet girl. I've missed you so much."
Levi smiles as he looks at you and compliments your dress, "You look beautiful in that dress. Are you heading somewhere nice tonight?"
You chuckle, knowing that he's well aware of your reluctance. "Jamie's dragging me to a school reunion."
Levi laughs in response. "Ah, I see. Well, you'll survive, I'm sure."
You smile and then turn your attention to Delilah, who's fussing in his arms, shifting her head from one side to the other. Leaning forward, you press a soft kiss to her nose and whisper, "I love you, sweetie."
Looking back at Levi, you speak with genuine concern, "If she needs me or anything happens, don't hesitate to call, okay?"
Levi nods with understanding. "Of course, you know I will. Have a good time tonight, and we'll see you on Sunday when you pick her up."
With that, you reluctantly leave Delilah in Levi's care, trusting that they will have a wonderful weekend together while you attend the reunion with Jamie.
You make your way over to Jamie's waiting car and get inside, letting out a deep sigh as you settle into the seat. You turn to him and say with a hint of resignation, "Let's just get this over with, Jamie. Drive, please."
As the engine revs to life, you brace yourself for the upcoming school reunion, knowing that it's not exactly your idea of a fun evening.
Harry stands outside the school, his eyes fixed on the familiar building that holds a lifetime of memories. As he gazes at the entrance, a million images flood his mind, and they all seem to revolve around you.
He remembers the day he mustered up the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend, his heart pounding in his chest as he nervously stammered out the question. It was a moment of pure happiness when you said yes, and he couldn't stop grinning for days.
Then, there's that vivid memory of the night he finally confessed his love for you, the words tumbling out of his mouth in a rush, afraid he might lose you if he didn't say it right then. Your eyes had sparkled with joy, and you'd hugged him tightly, saying you loved him too.
But there's also the painful memory, the one he's tried to push to the back of his mind for so long. The day he didn't turn up, the day he walked out of your life, leaving you none the wiser about the future that awaited him. It had been the hardest decision he'd ever made, but he believed it was the only way to chase his dreams.
His best mate, Ellis, notices his distant demeanor and approaches him with concern. She furrows her brows and asks, "Haz, everything okay?"
He takes a deep breath, trying to shake off the weight of nostalgia that has settled upon him. "Do y’think she'll be ‘ere?"
Ellis studies him, her expression a mix of sympathy and uncertainty. "I'm not sure, Haz. She's hardly kept in touch with anyone since you left. She's started a whole new life."
Harry's heart aches at the reality of it all. The years that have passed, the choices he's made – they've all taken a toll on the life he once shared with you. It's a stark reminder of the chasm that has grown between them, and he can't help but feel a profound sense of regret.
As he stands there, Ellis places a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Look, Haz, I know this is tough, but it's been years. People change, life moves on. Maybe it's time for both of you to see where you stand now."
Harry knows she's right, but the uncertainty gnaws at him. The thought of facing you after all this time, not knowing what to expect, fills him with anxiety. He's haunted by the memories of his past decisions – the day he walked away, the day he left you behind, oblivious to the superstar journey that awaited him.
His gaze remains fixed on the school's entrance, a mixture of hope and trepidation swirling within him. Deep down, he yearns for a chance to reconnect, to make amends for the pain he may have caused.
But as the minutes tick by, the fear that you've truly moved on and created a new life without him intensifies. Harry can't help but wonder if he's about to face the consequences of the choices he made long ago – choices that have left him with an overwhelming sense of longing and regret.
A sea of people surrounds him. The reunion is in full swing, and the familiar faces of former classmates and friends fill the courtyard. Laughter and chatter echo in the air, mingling with the strains of music playing softly in the background.
Groups of friends huddle together, sharing stories and reminiscing about their school days. Some are holding photographs, while others exchange yearbooks, a tangible link to their shared past.
Brightly lit string lights and decorations adorn the outdoor area, casting a warm and inviting glow over the gathering. Tables are set up with snacks and drinks, a makeshift bar where people gather to toast to old memories and new beginnings.
A live band plays a familiar tune, setting a nostalgic backdrop for the evening. Couples dance under the moonlit sky, their movements graceful and sentimental, lost in their own world of memories.
Ellis, sensing Harry's inner turmoil, gently asks, "Haz, should we go inside?"
He looks at her, his thoughts still heavy, and nods in agreement. With a deep breath, he reaches for the masquerade mask resting beside him and places it over his face. It's like a protective shield, concealing his emotions as he prepares to face the unknown.
Harry then links his arm with Ellis, who offers him a reassuring smile, and together, they enter the building. The vibrant sounds of the reunion wash over them as they step into the bustling venue, ready to confront the past and whatever it may hold.
The walk to the hall feels endless, each step stretching into an eternity. Harry's heart races in his chest, the rhythm of his breath quickening as his anticipation grows. He can feel a lump forming in his throat, threatening to choke him, but he refuses to let it deter him.
The closer he gets to the entrance, the more he becomes aware of the pounding in his chest, the deafening thud of every heartbeat echoing in his ears. His hands tremble slightly, and he can't shake the unease that courses through his veins.
As he finally steps inside the hall, he's met with a sudden hush that washes over the room like a wave. It feels as though time itself has slowed, and every eye in the room turns toward him. The weight of their collective gaze bears down on him, a silent judgement that's impossible to ignore.
He can sense the curiosity, the recognition in their faces as they try to place him in their memories. It's as if he's stepped into a world that he both longed for and feared, a world that has continued without him.
Harry takes a deep breath, summoning every ounce of courage he has left. The room seems to spin around him, and he wonders if he's made a colossal mistake.
You find yourself standing near the drinks table, a masquerade mask adorning your face, and Jamie by your side. Surprisingly, you're starting to actually enjoy yourself, despite your initial reluctance. The soft music in the background and the lively chatter of old friends create a pleasant ambiance.
You and Jamie are engaged in a friendly conversation, reminiscing about the past. You share a laugh as you recount the time you tried to get out of gym class by telling the teacher you had a sore throat.
"Remember that time I told the gym teacher I had a sore throat, and he said I didn't need my voice to play sports?" You chuckle, shaking your head at the memory.
Jamie grins and nods, "Oh, I remember. Classic move, but it didn't work out too well for you, did it?"
You laugh, taking a sip of your drink. "No, it didn't. Ended up running laps instead."
Amid the lighthearted conversation with Jamie, the hall suddenly falls into a profound silence, prompting you to turn your head and see what has captured everyone's attention. It's as if time stands still in that moment, and your eyes meet a sight that you never expected.
There, bathed in the soft, romantic glow of the hall's lighting, stands your ex-boyfriend, your one true love – Harry Styles.
He's dressed impeccably in a green suit, a masquerade mask adorning his face. The mask conceals his emotions, but his presence is unmistakable, sending a ripple through the room.
Of course the two of you were matching.
You were a vision of elegance in your light grey prom dress. The dress flowed gracefully as you descended the stairs, every step feeling like a small journey towards an unforgettable night.
The anticipation was palpable as you made your way down. You knew it was a night that marked a new chapter, a night of celebration and hope. Your heart was a mixture of excitement and nervousness, a beautiful cocktail of emotions that filled you to the brim.
And then you saw him. Harry, standing at the bottom of the stairs in a perfectly matching light grey suit. Time seemed to slow down as you took in the sight of him, and you couldn't help but feel a surge of joy at the coincidence.
It was as if the universe had conspired to ensure that you and Harry were in perfect harmony. Matching in not just attire but in your hearts as well. The smile that adorned his face when he saw you was a sight to behold, and your heart swelled with affection.
Lydia, your mother, couldn't resist commenting on the adorable match. Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she said, "Well, don't you two look adorable, matching in grey? It's like you were made for each other."
Harry's grin only grew wider as he extended his arm towards you, ready to escort you to the grand event.
"I guess we were," he replied, his voice filled with warmth and love.
As you took his arm, you shared a knowing look, an unspoken agreement that this night was not just about the dresses and suits, but the love that had brought you together.
Your heart leaps in your chest as memories flood back – the stolen glances in the hallways, the laughter shared in the cafeteria, the way he looked at you with that warmth in his eyes that made you feel like the most important person in the world.
You watch as he moves gracefully through the crowd, a confident stride that betrays none of the turmoil that might be lurking beneath the surface. People part to make way for him, their eyes following his every move.
As your eyes remain fixed on Harry's approaching figure, your heart races and your words catch in your throat. You turn to Jamie, your voice trembling as you confide in him, "I knew I shouldn't have come, Jamie. Seeing him… all these feelings have just rushed back, and I'm not sure I can handle being in the same room as him."
Jamie places a reassuring hand on your shoulder and offers a sympathetic smile. "Hey, it's okay. We can leave anytime you want. You don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with."
You appreciate his understanding and support, but the turmoil within you is still palpable. The mix of emotions – the longing, the memories, the unresolved feelings – swirls around you, making it difficult to think clearly.
"I appreciate that, J," you reply, your voice steadier but still tinged with uncertainty. "I just need a moment to collect myself. Maybe this is an opportunity to finally confront the past."
With a deep breath, you turn your attention back to the reunion, knowing that you have a decision to make – to stay and face what lies ahead or to leave and continue the life you've built without Harry.
Harry makes his way through the crowd, exchanging pleasantries with a few familiar faces along the way. His heart races as he moves closer to the corner of the room where Ellis stands. Once there, he doesn't waste any time and leans in to speak softly to her, "Do y’see ‘er?"
Ellis follows his gaze, scanning the room before nodding and saying, "Yeah, she's over at the bar with that guy, Jamie, from chemistry."
Harry's breath catches in his throat as he locks eyes with you for a brief moment. The connection is electric, and he can't help but feel a rush of emotions flood back.
He turns his attention back to Ellis, his voice filled with uncertainty. "Do y’think I should go over there and talk t’er?"
Ellis places a comforting hand on his shoulder, offering her advice. "Maybe give it a little time, Harry. Let things settle for a bit. You'll know when the right moment comes."
Harry nods, torn between the desire to reconnect and the fear of making things awkward.
Later in the evening, you find yourself engaged in a lively conversation with an old classmate named Roxy. The two of you are catching up on everything and anything that has happened in your lives since school.
Roxy animatedly shares stories of her career, her travels, and her recent adventures, and you reciprocate by telling her about your journey into football coaching and your beautiful daughter, Delilah.
The camaraderie and laughter flow freely as you reminisce about the antics you got up to during your school days, and you can't help but appreciate the sense of nostalgia that hangs in the air. It's moments like these that make you realize the value of rekindling old friendships and sharing the experiences that have shaped your lives.
You excuse yourself from the conversation with Roxy, telling her that you're just going to the toilet. Inside, the bathroom is a haven of solitude amidst the bustling reunion. You attend to your business, the silence offering a brief respite from the whirlwind of emotions outside.
As you step out of the bathroom and start to make your way back, lost in your thoughts, you collide with something firm and unyielding. Your heart leaps to your throat as you look up, only to be met with a pair of familiar green eyes that you've missed deeply yet haven't at all. It's the man who still owns your heart, Harry Styles.
The world seems to stop around you as you lock eyes with him, the years of separation and unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. It's an encounter that leaves you feeling both awkward and full of angst, a moment you never thought you'd have to confront, and one that could change everything.
And as you stand there, face to face with Harry, you can't help but wonder if this unexpected collision is a twist of fate, a chance to finally address the feelings that have remained unresolved for so long.
You shuffled past Harry, your heart pounding in your chest, the encounter outside the bathroom sending waves of uncertainty through you. It was as if time had reversed, and the emotions you had tried to tuck away came rushing back.
As you walked away from him, you couldn't bring yourself to look back. The weight of the past and the complexities of your emotions left you feeling conflicted and vulnerable. You knew that seeing Harry again was going to stir up old feelings, but you hadn't anticipated how intense it would be.
Harry stood there, watching you walk away, his heart heavy with disappointment. He had hoped for a warm greeting, a chance to talk and maybe find some closure, but the way you had avoided looking at him stung. It was as if he didn't even exist in your world, and that thought was more painful than he had imagined.
He let out a sigh, running a trembling hand through his hair as he tried to collect his thoughts. It was difficult for him to comprehend that you could just walk away without acknowledging him, without even a brief exchange of words. The reunion had been his chance to reconnect, to possibly mend what had been broken, but it seemed like that opportunity had slipped away.
In a mix of emotions and frustration, Harry decided to step into the men's bathroom, leaning against the sink for a moment. He tried to process the anguish he felt at your avoidance, hoping that maybe, just maybe, you might still want to talk and make sense of the unresolved feelings that lingered between you.
You hurriedly returned to the bar, your heart still racing from the encounter with Harry. The vodka you ordered was a lifeline, a familiar friend that would help you navigate the unexpected twists of the night.
The bartender, efficient and understanding, prepared your drink without a word. As he handed it to you, you offered a curt nod of gratitude and took a long, fortifying sip. The strong, bittersweet taste provided a momentary reprieve from the turmoil of emotions that had surged within you.
In the midst of your solitude at the bar, Ellis, a former classmate, approached with a soft, friendly smile. You acknowledged her with a tight-lipped expression, your eyes conveying a mixture of apprehension and fatigue. The reunion had thrust you into a whirlwind of nostalgia, and now, the complexity of your feelings threatened to overwhelm you.
Ellis, eager to bridge the gap, tried to initiate a conversation. "How have you been?" she asked, her voice gentle and empathetic.
You hesitated for a brief moment, the question prompting a whirlwind of thoughts. How could you summarize the years that had passed, the heartache, the joy, the transformation of your life, all in one sentence?
Finally, you responded, "Life's been alright." It was a carefully worded answer, a guarded response that didn't reveal the depths of emotion and experience you'd encountered.
The conversation seemed to stumble into an awkward silence, the weight of the past and the unresolved emotions hanging heavily between you. You took another sip of your vodka, the familiar warmth spreading through your body, offering a temporary refuge from the discomfort of the moment.
Ellis, perceptive and caring, couldn't help but sense the underlying bitterness in your tone. She leaned in closer, her expression filled with concern, and admitted, "I know Harry feels really guilty about leaving you."
Your response was laced with bitterness.
"Yeah, I bet he does," you sighed, the memories of the past and the heartache still very much alive in your mind.
Ellis tapped her nails lightly against the bar, deep in thought.
"Maybe you should talk to him, let him explain everything," she suggested, her words gentle yet persuasive. "You might find some closure, or who knows, even rekindle what once was."
You let out a sceptical chuckle, your eyes scanning the room, but your thoughts lingering on the man you'd tried so hard to forget.
"Why should I?" you questioned, the weight of years of unanswered questions heavy on your heart.
Ellis's voice was soothing and earnest as she continued, "Because, deep down, I know for a fact that the two of you still have feelings for each other. Sometimes, facing the past is the only way to move forward."
The idea of confronting Harry and revisiting the emotions you'd buried felt both daunting and enticing.
You were seated at your desk in math class. The room was filled with the usual chatter, but your focus was on something entirely different. Your crush, seated a few rows ahead, had a way of capturing your attention.
Every time you glanced in his direction, you seemed to catch his gaze, and your heart fluttered. You felt a rush of excitement mixed with a tinge of nervousness. Math class was suddenly a lot more interesting.
Beside you sat Ellis, who happened to be your crush's best friend. She observed your interactions with a knowing smile and a mischievous glint in her eyes. She leaned over and whispered, "You know, I don't get why the two of you just don't admit your feelings."
You blushed, surprised by her comment.
"What? I don't even think he likes me like that," you admitted, trying to downplay your infatuation.
Ellis shook her head with a chuckle. "Trust me, he does. I've seen the way he looks at you when you're not looking. You're both just too stubborn to admit it."
You finished the last of your vodka just as the DJ's voice filled the air, announcing the start of the slow dance. The music shifted into a gentle melody, setting a romantic ambiance that enveloped the room.
As you looked around, you noticed the eager faces of the reunion attendees, everyone seeking out a partner for the dance. Friends and acquaintances paired up, swaying to the music, but you couldn't help but notice that no one approached Harry. It was as if they were all a bit intimidated by his presence, the weight of his fame making him an enigma to most.
Harry stood in the corner, a lone figure amidst the couples on the dance floor. There was a vulnerability in his expression that was rarely seen, a hint of longing that was both endearing and bittersweet. It was clear that he was just as much a part of the reunion as anyone else, yet he remained untouched, like a distant star in the night sky.
With a deep sigh and a final adjustment of your clammy hands against your dress, you made a resolute decision. The pull toward Harry was undeniable, and you couldn't ignore the feeling any longer. It was time to face what had been left unresolved for far too long.
You began to navigate the room, and at first, he remained oblivious to your approach. It wasn't until you stopped right in front of him that he looked up, a bewildered expression in his eyes. In his gaze, you sensed surprise, almost disbelief, as if he had convinced himself that you didn't want to be near him.
You held your hand out, a nervous smile tugging at the corners of your lips, and said, "Want to be my dance partner? I think it's time we talked."
The words hung in the air, laden with unspoken emotions and the weight of the past. Harry's surprise slowly gave way to a flicker of hope, his eyes meeting yours as he contemplated your offer.
You took Harry's hand and gently guided him to the dance floor, the anticipation and uncertainty palpable in the air. As the music started to play, a soft, melodic tune that filled the room, you both hesitated before finally finding your place on the floor.
Hesitantly, you wrapped your arms around his neck, your fingertips grazing the soft hairs at the nape. Harry reciprocated by placing his hands on your waist, his touch light and tentative. The proximity felt both foreign and familiar, and you started swaying to the music, finding a rhythm that was uniquely your own.
The silence between you was awkward, filled with words left unsaid, emotions unexpressed. It was as if the weight of the years apart, the unanswered questions, and the unspoken feelings had manifested in this dance.
You couldn't help but steal glances at each other, each fleeting look revealing a complex mix of emotions—nostalgia, longing, and a hint of uncertainty.
The two of you swayed to the music in the awkward embrace of the slow dance, caught in a moment that had been a decade in the making. As the silence grew more uncomfortable, Harry finally broke it, his voice carrying the weight of their shared history.
"How have you been?" he asked, his eyes locked onto yours, searching for a glimpse of the girl he used to know.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal.
"Life's been fine," you replied, the words feeling both superficial and loaded with unspoken complexities.
Feeling the tension in the air, you decided to shift the focus.
"And how's it living the life of a rockstar?" you asked, trying to break through the awkwardness. It was a loaded question, but one that seemed safe enough.
Harry's expression tightened, as if he were choosing his words carefully. "S’a lot. Busy, y’know. But s’what I've always wanted."
As you pressed Harry for answers, the weight of the past seemed to hang in the air.
"Why did you leave, Harry?" you asked, your voice filled with a mix of curiosity and pain. "You didn't say anything. You just disappeared."
Harry sighed, and as he met your gaze, his eyes held a hint of regret.
"M’didn't want t’hurt ye’," he confessed, his voice low and sincere.
The words hit you with a mix of emotions.
"You didn't want to hurt me?" you repeated, the realisation sinking in.
Just as he seemed about to elaborate, your phone rang, displaying Levi's name on the screen.
The phone call from Levi seemed to have come at an inopportune moment, breaking the fragile conversation between you and Harry. With a sigh, you held up a finger as if to say, "I need to take this." You turned and walked away from the slow dance, your steps guided by the beckoning ring of your phone.
As you distanced yourself from Harry and the dance floor, you couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and disappointment. The unanswered questions and unspoken feelings lingered between you, a weight you had carried for far too long.
In the crowd, Harry caught Jamie's eyes, and their silent exchange was filled with unspoken understanding. Jamie nodded in the direction you had left, mouthing the words,
"Go after her." The silent encouragement was a reminder that some things were worth pursuing, even after a decade of silence and distance.
As you stepped outside the venue to take the call, your heart raced with concern. You quickly answered the phone, bringing it up to your ear, and without preamble, you asked, "Is everything okay with Delilah?"
Levi's voice came through the line, reassuring but tinged with understanding. "Yeah, she's fine. She woke up just now and started crying because she didn't get to speak to you before bed."
A sigh of relief escaped your lips, but you couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. "I'm so sorry, Levi. Put her on the phone. I need to talk to her."
The phone was passed to Delilah, and her voice, small and tearful, reached your ear. "Mummy?"
Your heart ached as you replied, "Hey, sweetheart. I'm here. I'm sorry I missed our bedtime chat. I love you so much."
Delilah's voice was still laced with sleepiness and a touch of uncertainty. "Love you too, Mummy. When are you coming back?"
You glanced back at the venue, where the reunion was still in full swing, and then back to the dark knight beyond. The choice you were about to make felt significant, not just for yourself but for your daughter as well. "I'll be back soon, baby. I promise. You be good for daddy, okay?"
As you finished your conversation with Delilah, ending with an "I love you," you hung up the phone and took a deep breath, feeling the weight of your choices bearing down on you. The brisk night air provided a welcome contrast to the warm and crowded venue behind you.
Just then, Harry walked outside, and the timing was uncanny. He caught the tail end of your call, hearing your affectionate words to whoever was on the phone. A wave of mixed emotions washed over him. He thought he had missed his chance, that you had moved on with your life and no longer needed him.
Turning around, you were startled to find Harry standing there in the shadows. His sudden appearance caught you off guard, and you let out a little jump in surprise.
Harry, concern etched across his features, asked, "S’everything alright? Y’looked panicked when y’saw y’phone."
You quickly collected yourself, offering a reassuring smile. "Yeah, everything's fine. I just needed to answer it without the loud music," you explained, hoping to quell any worries.
Harry, seemingly relieved, asked, "Was that y’boyfriend?"
With a sigh, you shook your head. "No, not my boyfriend. It was my daughter."
The silence that followed was heavy, and Harry's eyes widened in realisation.
You were sprawled out in Harry's garden, a patchwork of the evening sky painted with shades of deep blue and a tapestry of stars, twinkling like a thousand distant dreams. The soft scent of flowers and freshly mowed grass wafted through the air, blending with the comforting scent of Harry's cologne.
As you lay in his arms, cocooned in the embrace of young love, the world beyond seemed to melt away, leaving just the two of you and the vast expanse of the night. The grass cradled your bodies like a feathered mattress, a canvas for the dreams that flowed freely.
Amidst this tranquil backdrop, Harry's voice broke the tranquil silence.
"Do y’ever want t’ave kids?" he asked, his fingers tracing idle patterns on your arm. His words were like a gentle breeze, laden with curiosity and the promise of an uncertain future.
You turned your head to look at him, your eyes meeting him in the dim light. A smile graced your lips as you replied,
"Yeah, I'd love to have kids someday. Especially our kids." The words tumbled out with an ease that only young love could inspire, a declaration of your shared hopes and dreams.
Harry's heart skipped a beat, and he kissed your forehead, his warm breath mingling with the cool night air.
"Our kids," he repeated softly, his voice filled with promise and the intoxicating scent of first love. In that moment, under the canvas of a starlit sky, you both painted a picture of a future filled with shared adventures and laughter, not yet aware of the challenges and heartaches that lay ahead.
You lay there, sharing your dreams and aspirations, your hearts intertwined like the constellations above.
Harry looked at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and confusion.
"Y’ave a daughter?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
You nodded, the weight of the past and present pressing heavily upon you.
"Yeah," you replied, your voice thick with emotion. "She's four."
The question hung in the air, heavy and unresolved. Harry's voice broke the silence, asking, "Are y’with the dad?"
Your eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and frustration. You looked at him with a hurt expression before saying, "Is that all you care about? Whether I'm with her dad or not?"
Harry, seemingly flustered, quickly responded, "No, f’course not."
The anger and hurt simmered beneath the surface as you shook your head, the words pouring out with the force of years of unspoken resentment. "You lost the right to care about who I'm with or my life a long time ago when you up and left. You didn't even deserve to know that I had a daughter."
Harry's face contorted with regret as your words hit him like a tidal wave. The argument had grown intense, and the emotions that had been suppressed for years were now surging to the surface.
He took a step closer to you, a deep sigh escaping his lips as he finally said, "M’sorry."
Your eyes met his, but the anger still smoldered within you.
"Sorry isn't going to change anything," you retorted, your voice laced with frustration and pain.
As he began to speak, his voice wavered with raw emotion.
"M’sorry that I left ye," he admitted, his words tinged with guilt and sorrow. "But I knew f’a fact that y’wouldn't want t’live the life with a rockstar, a life where y’hardly see me."
Your confusion and worry grew as you stood on Harry's doorstep, knocking anxiously.
When Harry's mother answered the door, her expression was sombre. You immediately asked, "Where's Harry? He was supposed to meet me today."
His mother hesitated for a moment before delivering the news that would shatter your world. "Harry didn't tell you? He's left, dear. He left early this morning to head to London."
You blinked, struggling to comprehend the reality of the situation.
"But when will he be back?" you implored, your voice trembling.
His mother's gaze remained sympathetic, but her words were final. "He won't be coming back, love. He's a part of One Direction now, and their tours are about to begin."
You knew he was part of the band, you had gone to a few live shows and even looked after him after the band finished in Third, when all he wanted was you.
He never told you about a tour, about anything, although you noticed that he was on his phone quite a lot, you just thought he was playing that stupid game.
But you must have been wrong.
You couldn't believe what you were hearing, and the initial shock gave way to a growing sense of despair.
"Why didn't he tell me?" you managed to stammer out, your voice cracking as you tried to understand.
You had thought your relationship was built on trust and communication.
His mother's sympathetic gaze only deepened the emotional turmoil you were experiencing.
"I think he didn't want to hurt you," she offered gently. "This opportunity means a lot to him."
Too late for that.
Your mind raced with a million questions. How had everything changed so suddenly? What would this mean for your future together? You couldn't imagine life without Harry by your side.
"He's been practising with the band for weeks now," Harry's mother continued, "and their tours are about to begin. It's a big chance for him, and he didn't want to hold himself back."
Tears welled up in your eyes, a mixture of sorrow, confusion, and frustration. You had never expected this turn of events, and the sense of abandonment was overwhelming.
The weight of his confession hung heavy in the air. Harry continued, his gaze locked onto yours,
"T’band was just starting out, and I knew I'd be on the road, seeing y’less and less. I didn't want t’hurt ye."
The argument, once fueled by anger, seemed to transform into a tumultuous sea of emotions. Your heart ached as you listened to his words, realizing that he had walked away not out of indifference, but out of love—or what he had believed was love.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you heard Harry's confession, the raw emotion in his voice cutting through the anger and resentment that had fueled your argument. You took a deep breath, trying to steady your voice, and replied, "I didn't get to choose what life I wanted to live. I wanted to be with you, but you made that choice for me."
Harry's eyes glistened with remorse as he implored, "I wanted t’protect ye’ t’keep y’from a life that would hurt ye."
Your voice trembled as you spoke, the tears now flowing freely.
"The only life I wanted to live was one with you, but then you up and left me, our relationship," you said, your voice breaking as you confronted the years of pain that had been buried deep within.
Harry's response was a whisper of regret. "When I auditioned, y’had t’walk out halfway through because y’didn't do well in the crowd."
At this, your emotions spiraled, and you couldn't contain the rush of memories and feelings that overwhelmed you. You cried as you defended yourself and the relationship you had once cherished. "I was scared, Harry, scared of the expectations, of the distance, but I still loved you. I didn't want to let you down, but you walked out on us, on me."
The weight of all the years of heartache and misunderstandings became too much to bear, and you started to sob uncontrollably. The tears flowed freely, and your body shook with the intensity of your emotions.
Without hesitation, Harry wrapped his arms around you, drawing you close, his chest becoming a sanctuary for your broken heart. His voice, gentle and soothing, whispered into your ear, "M’so sorry, m’love. I'll spend the rest f’m’life making it up t’you."
Amidst the tears and the weight of unspoken words, your voice quivered as you finally found the strength to speak.
"Harry, you don't understand how hard it was...how hard it still is," you confessed, your words choked with emotion. "You were my everything, and you just left without even a word."
Harry's grip tightened, and his voice was filled with a deep sense of remorse. "I know, and I can't change the past, but I want t’make things right, t’be there f’ye."
You paused for a moment, looking up at him, your eyes red and swollen. "It's not just about me, Harry. I've moved on, and I have a daughter now. You just can't come back into my life like this."
His voice was filled with sincerity as he replied, "I understand. I'll do whatever it takes t’earn y’forgiveness and be a part f’y’life again."
The weight of the years hung heavy in the air, but as you held each other amidst the tears and the apologies, there was a glimmer of hope that perhaps, with time and effort, wounds could heal and a new chapter could begin.
Savage Opress would have been a great jedi but he NEVER HAD A CHOICE OR A CHANCE. He was kind and selfless despite his horrific circumstances BUT THEN HE WAS MAGICKED INTO BECOMING SOMETHING THAT WAS NO LONGER HIM. He showed incredible teamwork skills with his compatriots UNTIL HE WAS FORCED TO KILL THE BROTHER HE FOUGHT THROUGH A BATTLE ROYALE TO SAVE. He was able to keep a cool head in dangerous circumstances UNTIL HE WAS FUCKING BRAINWASHED AND ABUSED INTO COMMITTING ATROCITIES AND MAKING ENEMIES EVERYWHERE.
#savage opress#star wars#star wars the clone wars#I am this man's number one fan. He is my favorite magical girl and he has suffered so much more than jesus#Ventress is awesome but I will never forgive her for this
hi!!!!!! can i request the minecraft post u did for the dateables but for the brothers? i love ur writing sm it's so cute <3333
obey me brothers playing minecraft with you
thank you so much for the love <33 this was actually a lot of fun to write because all of these men are so very ridiculous. cheers to my first ever request!
[dateables version]
content warnings: language, bullying the villagers, killing the animals, you know how minecraft is
prompt: you've somehow convinced these guys to play minecraft, a human world game, one night, just the two of you. but how exactly does that experience go?
{established relationship, obey me x reader with the brothers}
Lucifer
oh. oh peepaw.
you really have to coax this man into playing with you. he's perfect at everything, all the time-- to engage in activity like this one, in front of you of all people, wounds his ego more than he'd like to admit. he doesn't want you to see him be bad at something. what if you no longer respect him? what if his inability to comprehend the little block people's actions are enough to ruin your love for him? he's genuinely distressed about this (not that he'd let it show), but you seem interested, so he reluctantly agrees.
two key things are necessary when playing minecraft with lucifer: patience and teamwork.
leaving him to do any task alone is daunting. the perfectionism paralyzes him a bit in these moments. take him with you! collect wood together, mine in the same mineshaft, hunt monsters together-- all of it starts to ease his mind when you work together. he starts to focus not on his pride but his love for you and spending quality time by your side.
as time progresses, he does eventually get a grip in the controls and mechanics-- well, as much as you can expect a dinosaur like him to understand. you still do a lot of tasks together in-game, but it's more of camaraderie thing by that point. he just likes being by your side, okay? don't make him say it, or you'll be hunting monsters by yourself bestie.
lucifer is also a really big fan of the soundtrack. it's so simple yet well-composed, a stark different to that garish video game music levi listens to. please play with the sound up and let him enjoy the sound of the rain intermingling with the music; his relaxed face is very cute.
Mammon
what's that? you wanna play minecraft with the great mammon? of course you do! he's gonna be the best player you've ever seen, just ya wait-- what's that? no, he's never touched the game before, but he knows he'll be fantastic. watch and learn, baybee, cuz the great mammon is here to show up and show out.
what he lacks in skill, he makes up several times over in enthusiasm. this is important, because he absolutely lacks skill.
mammon is a dangerous combination of unobservant and overenthusiastic, leading to every stupid situation you can think of. he thinks he sees an important resource, so he leaves for juuust a second... boom. he's lost. he somehow manages to attract lava in every. single. cave. at this point, you have to ban him from carrying anything important.
one thing he is good at is monster hunting. he's made it his mission from day 1 to protect you, whether it be real life or in a video game. he'll face a monster-- enderman, creeper, sneaky skeleton, you name it-- without an ounce of fear if it means you'll live another in-game day (some might call this excessive, but you just call it cute).
like everything with mammon, sometimes his instinct to protect you goes overboard. he tries to ban you from entering the mines and going outside at night because what if a monster gets you, human?? fortunately for you, he never figured out how to run in-game, so just sprint past him and carry on.
on a completely unrelated note-- this greedy motherfucker (said with SO much affection) hordes all the treasures in-game like a dragon. his goal is to build you two a mansion of diamond and gold. this is very cute if you once again ignore the fact that he keeps FALLLING IN LAVA with all his vauables. y'all are never getting anywhere in this game.
Leviathan
levi is, hands down, the best person to play minecraft with. you don't have to teach him a thing-- in fact, he's probably the one that brought it up to you!
he's very pleased that you'd indulge in one of his hobbies like this, regardless of whether you actually play video games or not. just the thought of you there, sitting next to him, hanging out with him because you want to be around a shut-in otaku like him... the thought gives him butterflies.
... y'all can't actually share a house by the way. he gets too flustered. make a joke about putting your minecraft beds together and he's blushing. it does not matter how long you've been together, his reaction will always be the same.
he's one of the only ones that you can progress through the game with. bashful levi is amazing in the mines. he's got a system down pat that'll help you guys find your way back to the entry point, where he's set up a base camp with chests and resources so you won't have to resurface until you're done. smart, right?
y'all actually go to the nether and the end. he's very quick to pick up the game's mechanics and use his luck to to help you guys progress. every victory is shared; what's the fun of winning if you're not winning together?
levi will play with you basically any time you ask. he loves when you refer to it as "our minecraft world". better yet, praise him for all his hard work in making your world and watch him melt. he's just a sucker for your love, and the fact that he's actually good at this activity makes him all the more happy to do it with you.
Satan
satan doesn't really know much about this game that you're describing, but he's willing to play it with you if you're really that interested. he's always ready to learn more about things from the human world; when you tell him this is one of the most popular games up on earth, he wants to try it at least once.
satan is not the best in general at video games, but he's quick-witted and resourceful, so the two of you get by just fine. the problem mostly lies in the fact that satan's audacity gets you into trouble sometimes. there is no little voice in his head telling him not to do something potentially dangerous and stupid, especially if there's some reward to gain on the other side. he is fully convinced he can take on an iron golem with a stone sword and no armor, just you watch--
be carefully with letting him run around freely. there's lots of ways to die in this game, and each failure pokes at the embers of wrath below his cool exterior.
this intelligent lil guy figures out redstone pretty damn quick. he'll use this knowledge to create lots of little creations meant to make your camp better. whether or not this actually helps is an entirely different story... but look! a gate! aren't you so proud of him? (please praise him, he needs it so bad)
and you wouldn't be playing with satan if all progress didn't come to a stop the moment he spots an ocelot. when you tell him you can befriend them, he's overjoyed. look at how cute they are! one ocelot turns into two, then three, then four... suddenly there's a small army of ocelots in your house that he's caring for. y'all better make room in your joint minecraft bed or satan will feel like a bad cat dad. he's so ridiculous and i love him
Asmodeus
this man plays minecraft with his priorities straight-- he spends way too long creating a cute character skin to play with, then builds a cute house and decorates it to the nines, then focuses on finding himself the cutest armor and weapons... all before doing literally anything productive, btw.
do not expect asmodeus to be much help. he's mostly there for moral support. he cannot do things "for survival" like gathering food and resources or building a starter home. everything must be perfect, or it doesn't get done. asmo did not craft himself a bed until he was able to dye the wool pink and have a cute pink bed. he cannot bring himself to live in an ugly house, so you either need to help him or listen to him whine about getting rained on or attacked by monsters until he's done.
this is not to imply that playing with asmo is not fun!!
asmo is not a monster hunter, a miner, or any good at gathering resources. however, his experience with makeup makes him insanely creative. while you might not have a house for several days, the end result even gives barbatos' house a run for its money. his decor is always very cute and clean, soft even in the blocky 2D world. he'll make your whole base camp aesthetically pleasing if you let him (please let him-- his smile is worth it).
asmo often finds himself a damsel in distress. he'll fall in holes and get very confused, scream when he gets attacked, and generally need you to protect him at every turn. succeed, though, and he'll hail you as one of the most amazing people he's ever met. the game will be discarded as he throws his arms around you, kissing you all over the face and showering you in praises, all for saving his house from a stray creeper.
oh, and he'll definitely put your beds next to each other and smirk at you. what did you expect from the avatar of lust? cornball
Beelzebub
sweet, beloved baby beel. he's ready and willing to play with you whenever. if you want to make some actual progress, prepare lots of snacks and set a cozy atmosphere to keep him full and content. playing with the avatar of gluttony does require a little prep in that regard.
this (metaphorical) angel really has a hard time killing any of the livestock. he apologizes aloud anytime he has to slay one and explains to the poor creature why he's killing them. sorry, little sheep guy, but you two need to make beds. the cows make him feel especially bad because they remind him of belphie.
he's really big on making sure you guys have a secure, safe home to hide away in. sometimes, things get really overwhelming in the game, so he wants you to have a space where you feel safe and protected enough to calm down. this bunker is definitely a bit ugly, but we can't win them all.
play with him long enough and all the food will start looking really tasty to him. that bread looks a little too real, doesn't it, mc? and that cake is so life-like... redirect him to his snack horde, stat.
he also wants to do all of your tasks together. when he's there with you, he can make sure you're safe or offer you help when your struggling to complete a task on your own. he want to make sure you're having fun! let him help you, please, it makes him feel loved. he likes spending time with you.
definitely doesn't get the "putting your minecraft beds together" joke. you can either explain the to him and watch him blush, or let him live with the assumption that it's for extra cuddle room.
Belphegor
you've got to coax belphie into playing with you for a few days, because honestly? that sounds like a lot of work. not only does he have to participate, but he's also got to learn, too? he's already yawning just talking about it all.
he'll eventually snuggle in with his back against your chest and your arms clumsily holding the controller in front of him. he doesn't particularly care that this position makes gaming difficult for you, not when you're cuddling him like this. it's really a win-win situation in his eyes: he'll play the little block game if you shower him in unconditional affection any time he wants. what a deal! his youngest child energy really shows in times like these.
belphie is heartless when it comes to raiding villages and collecting resources. what's that? you feel bad? they're not real, mc. they don't have feelings. they don't care that you're stealing from them. if it really makes you feel bad he'll stop, but he will complain about how much easier things could have been if you'd just robbed a village or two.
somehow, some way, he's also super lucky?? he'll stumble upon rare resources with little to no effort and snicker about how you're still scrambling for supplies. don't worry, he'll share. only if you beg, though. go on. he wants to hear it. maybe, maybe he'll be willing to give you the diamonds he found if you convince him. (what a fucking menace!)
he will, eventually, fall asleep while playing. the music is too soft and your arms around him are too warm for him to not drift off. that's okay. carefully take the controller away from him, save the game, shut down the system, and settle in for the night. he'll cuddle closer in his sleep, unconsciously touched by the gesture, and drag you into dreamland with him.
WHAT IS THE FIGHT SCENE CONVEYING? (a breakdown of OPLA episode 1)
Fight #1 - Luffy vs. Alvida: 1) Introducing the stretchy thing. If you have somehow tuned in to watch One Piece without knowing that the premise of One Piece is that this kid can stretch, well, good news! Now you know!
2) Establishing that this is fun for Luffy. Luffy is having fun. Luffy is also protecting Koby and shit, but most of all, this is Luffy having a good time. He does not make choices in this fight based on what will end the fight quickly or efficiently, because he does not actually want to end the fight. "Picking a fight with bullies" is one of Luffy's most favorite pastimes and it's important to establish that early on.
Fight #2 - Zoro vs. Mr. 7: 1) The next fight deliberately takes us directly from Luffy and his cartoon character fighting to Zoro, whose fight choreography is more or less plucked out of a samurai movie. It lets us know that the show is going to be doing both those things, and also that Zoro, before meeting Luffy, basically lives in a completely different genre.
2) Unlike Luffy, Zoro ends his fight fast and he ends his fight lethally. This demonstrates how good Zoro is at this, and also that they're going to be killing people, onscreen, in this show - even the good guys. Like, they need to get that out of the way quickly here in episode one - you are going to be cheering for Zoro and also, this man very much does kill people for a living.
Fight #3 - Zoro vs. Everybody In the Bar: If the previous fight was to establish for us how good Zoro is with his swords, this one is to show how he's just as good without them. This sets up the important theme about "only draw your sword if you mean to use it" - which they will call back to later, with Mihawk.
(Side point: Nami very quickly taking advantage of the bar fight chaos to slam the guy's head on the bar and take his shit is a beautiful, succinct illustration of her skill set - she prefers to talk her way into what she wants, but she's always on the lookout for opportunities to take advantage of.)
Fight #4 - Nami vs. Those Two Marines: Expands on that last point - Nami prefers to talk her way out of problems, too - but she's prepared to also hit things with a big stick if that doesn't work out. She's not playing around, and she's not worried about being honorable - as soon as it looks like things are not going to go her way, she's ready to smack some folks in the head and get the fuck out.
Fight #5 - THE BIG ONE: We get our 3 heroes finally working together for the first time! It's thrilling! It's exciting! It's also doing a lot of important character work like
Showing Luffy & Zoro going from getting in each other's way to working together to take down a guy too tough for either of them to take alone. Teamwork! Friendship! MAJOR CHARACTER THEMES!
The very, very smart use of the 3-sword-style. They made such a good call waiting to use that until this moment, honestly. And they managed to choreograph it such the third sword is actually important - even critical! - to the victory. (I mentioned before how that's really fucking hard to do in meatspace for... obvious reasons.)
We see all 3 of them being competent - but it's clear that Luffy and Zoro are enjoying it in a way Nami does not. Nami does not want to be doing this. Luffy and Zoro are sharing a single braincell, and that braincell is saying that fighting an entire base full of marines is a great idea and a really fun way to spend an afternoon!
promise me - yoichi isagi (prev. reo mikage) x male reader
warnings: comfort, angst (reo)
a/n: to that one commenter on reo’s post, alright bet (tried tagging you but it didn’t work lol)
you don’t understand why you got picked for the blue lock project at all: your skills were nowhere near as high level as reo’s or nagi’s. you only played football so you could hang out with reo more after he decided to spend all his time with nagi. somehow, someway, some higher being deemed you a great enough player to be part of the blue lock project.
at the first meeting, you saw reo. he was stood with nagi - all of his attention was focused on nagi. you wanted to walk over and be with him but you stopped yourself. this project meant you could show yourself - show reo what he was missing.
and so you became part of team z. it was a colourful team with an angry blonde who wanted to play sexy football, a ginger superhero with a mean left foot, and lemon. there was no sense of teamwork whatsoever for the first few matches in the round robin but that didn’t mean it wasn’t any less fun.
but there was also isagi.
the two of you clicked straight away. while bachira brought out the monster in isagi, you managed to round out his weaknesses. and he did the same for you. if he couldn’t score a goal, isagi knew that you would be able to do it. it was seamless teamwork which transferred off the pitch.
both of you trained together, ate together, your futons were placed next to each other. no one else in team z could deny that there was something going off between the two of you. the connection between you and isagi was magnetic. it was almost as if you were made for each other.
two strikers that brought out the best in each other.
isagi listened to you as you told him of your history with reo and nagi. he had bumped into them in the canteen before the team was told of the final match against team v. isgai saw how you tensed up seeing that they were the top two scorers in the stratum and he followed after you when you promptly walked out. he sat down with you in the training room and held your hand as you told him how reo ignored you for nagi despite your history with him.
“don’t think about them anymore,” said isagi. “you are your own person and i can say with confidence that you’re a better striker than both of them combined.”
you chuckled. “not hard for you to say, mr monster. you’ve not seen how reo controls nagi. the hold he has on him. i’m nothing to him.”
isagi held your hand tightly, rubbing comforting circles. he let you lean against him, let you use him to calm down.
“when we beat them,” he started, “promise me that you won’t think about them anymore - that you’ll only think of me.”
the confidence in his voice made you smile. you couldn’t explain why but it made you feel better. isagi always made you feel better. that was something reo could never do - he just left you to fester in your own emotions while he went off with nagi. isagi, however, let you talk and did what he could to make you feel better, as you did with him.
“guess we better not lose then.” you stood up, isagi following after you. he smiled widely. both of you headed back to the team room.
you held each other’s hand tightly, not separating until you needed to.
the day of the final match came. you and isagi stood side by side, opposite reo and nagi.
reo could only stare at you with wide eyes as you breezed past him, focusing only on isagi. he tried to talk to you, tried to get a word out at least, but he couldn’t. his heart clenched as did his fist.
after starting blue lock, reo realised how much he missed you - how much he needed you. he swore that when he next saw you, he would apologise and do whatever he could to win you back. but seeing your smile directed at isagi made him realise that there was nothing he could do.
he had already lost you.
Ever since the AMIGO practice video dropped, it’s been going around again how killer SHINee’s live performance skills are, but what I don’t really see much of is people discussing why. Why are SHINee’s live performance skills so good? How were these five ROOKIES able to outshine their seniors in a skill they’ve been doing for so much longer?
The answer is simple: Timing. SHINee, as rookies, learned the valuable skill of timing when it comes to performing live.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: of course they’re good at timing - how else are they gonna be able to stay on track? And you’re right. It does seem like an obvious answer yet I don’t think you realize how important timing plays into singing and dancing live.
We all know that it’s hard to keep your voice steady when dancing, but what SHINee has learned is to make their voices flow with the choreography. In order to do that, it’s all about rhythm and timing. If for even a fraction of a second their timing is off, it’s going to throw off their rhythm, therefore throw off their ability to steady their voice. Same goes for timing when they need to breathe. Singing and dancing is a cardio workout. If they can’t time their inhales and exhales correctly, then they’ll be out of breath and unable to sing when their turn comes.
A lot of that has to do with the structure of the choreography. It’s been analyzed before that K-pop choreographies will be structured in two ways: either based on the rhythm of the instrumentals or the rhythm of the lyrics. SHINee’s choreographies, if you’ve ever paid close attention, often have the dance moves lining up with the rhythm of the lyrics. Sometimes all three will line up, but not often will you find their choreographies solely following the rhythm of the instrumentals. Again, that is because it’s harder to keep your voice steady when your voice isn’t following the movement of your body. It’s a balancing act, and what happens if your timing is off? You lose that balance, i.e. your voice becomes unsteady.
This is also why SHINee is always able to stay so in-sync when performing: because of their timing. It becomes a domino effect if they get their timing wrong. It’s not just about staying in-sync with one another for aesthetic purposes, it’s making sure they have the timing right so that their voices can flow with the choreography and they can breathe at the required times. Timing is the aspect that binds everything together.
So, yes, SHINee are great singers, great dancers, great at being in-sync, and have great breath control and those things combined together are what make them such great live performers. But those skills would be useless if it weren’t for their ability to time everything correctly.
I hope my analysis shed some lights on things, and if you were already aware of everything I stated above, great! I’m glad we’re on the same page. Of course, this is not meant to bash any of the hard work SHINee put in to perfecting their vocals, their dancing skills, their teamwork, any of that. It was simply an observation that I made to help everyone look deeper than the surface level of a performance.
Sometimes I think we get a little swept up in the theatricality of K-pop to realize that so much more goes into it and knowing the timing of every tiny piece is what binds it all together. SHINee has mastered the art of timing, which is what allows their talents to shine the way that they do on stage. In my opinion, it’s truly remarkable and shows their dedication to perfecting their craft.
