Honestly, Ryusei has never really thought about romantic relationship. Yes he was popular with girls in his class and all but he never took interest in them romantically. And if he'd fall in love with someone, it would be probably a person who matches his energy.

That's what he thought until he met Baji's cousin, [name]. She's shy, introvert, awkward and completely opposite of him.

He'd ask Baji about you to the point that Baji will question if he has feelings for you or not millionth times.

Whenever you are with Baji, Ryusei would try to shoo Baji and Chifuyu away so you two could be alone.

When he find out that you're staying at Baji's place for a while, he'd be at Baji's place like everyday and use the excuse that him and Baji are really great friends but he, in reality, just wants to see you.

He would tell Baji about his feelings for you sooner or later and Chifuyu, of course, would find out too.

The way he'd actually be so genuine with you like always. He's genuinely having best of his time whenever you're with him. It's like you bring some kind of comfort to him, something that he craves.

Tbh, I feel like Kojiro would laugh at Ryusei for falling in love because I think he would think of love as cringe.

"She might be just a girl for you, but she's more important to me. I don't know, Kojiro. This is all unfamiliar feeling. But I genuinely want to see her smile. She has prettiest smile, by the way. it is I, the live slug reaction microsoft paint doodles guy, here with the long promised part two, and lord mercy its been like a month,,, i've spent the past week and a half adding just-one-more-last-bit-this-time-its-the-last-one-for-sure-definitely and thinking of a new one at work the very next day,, BUT i am out of the dungeon now so here you have it!!

here's to me spending solid two months of my life pacing to and fro at work compiling mental essays and Making Up Scenarios tm with your characters and generally rotating them,,,, twas an experience for certain and i thank you for every point of psychic damage i was dealt <3

i tried every know-how i could think of to improve the resolution situation, and ended up just cutting it into pieces so im sorry if its a bit confusing to read (it's hectic but it works so i can't complain)

big picture for to know where things are

tip: you do gotta read the big picture left side (they are vaguely divided by the grey lines) top to bottom and then the right side for it to be chronological (more or less)

and the small bits for better resolution

i already wrote most of the things i had to say in the picture itself, so all i'll say is my soul yearns for pearl and lizzie (and Tilly) adventures extravaganza spinoff ): i have somehow so far convinced myself while reading that we would for sure get to see them within the fic that i had to doublecheck that i didn't miss a chapter on accident,,, oopsie

"no.. they wouldn't�� they can't!" i thought to myself, but then the chapters went on and on, and Scar and Pops managed to almost get themselves killed yet again, adventures not showing any signs of stopping. and the pesky bristling brit, with whom i have a complicated relationship not unlike the one between a Sportsteam that sucks ass and their last remaining, bitter, but loyal shit-talking fan, is nowhere to be seen. i was head in hands sitting on the edge of my bed waxing poetics about how The Narrative forces the reader through the character's thought process and Long Live Indie Writing for being able to afford to break tropes and expectations n all that and then Grian's disHEVELED ASS ROLLS OUTA BUSHES AND I WAS LIKE i kNEW THOSE SONS A BITCHES WERE SCHEEMING, NEVER TRUST A WRITER!!! ! …i'm fairly impressionable audience if you couldn't tell

,anyhow this was one of the several bits rotating in my head for the past while, i hope you're proud of what you've accomplished -_- (/j/lh you really really should be <3) yeah anyway this is where i would put my essay on all that if i knew how to write one!

I was scrolling on tiktok. There was a Boruto edit with some girl in it and they caption said "they'll never make me hate you."

I just felt upset and said to myself "It should have just ended at Naruto, I will never start this Boruto anime. It feels disrespectful."

Welcome to the club, I grew up with Naruto and have actually attempted to watch Boruto, but gave it up after maybe 5 episodes.

The original characters are stuck in badly written, stereotypically poor marriages. Naruto is often portrayed as the absent father his younger self would've despised. Sakura is a perpetually alone and miserable wife. And the new designs for the kiddos are impractical and borderline fetishistic, such as Sarada's pigeon toes in ridiculously tall platform heels and catwalk outfit. While Kishimoto still oversees the work, he's passed the project on to his assistant, who follows the conventional tendency of presenting teenagers like grown adults on a night out. So for me, it's not just the nostalgia. I genuinely don't like the new series.

I personally pretend that Naruto ended with Shippuden, with that little glimpse into the future. That's it. What we have now is a spinoff, someone else's interpretation of what could've been, but a brand new thing altogether. It does not relate to my experience or canon plot.

If I could choose, I would've preferred if the Naruto characters continued to be the main cast, so you could grow with them over the years, because I'm in my mid-late twenties and I can no longer relate to a 12 year old kid going on adventures. Alas. We can be old and bitter together.

Today on BnHA: Horikoshi decides he’s going to cover the rest of the AFO/OFA saga in the span of just seven pages, the majority of which are mostly just filled with lovingly detailed closeups of AFO and Kudou’s eyes. Back in the present day, Kid For One takes a couple of seconds to trample the last of the “Kacchan is OFA II or is related to OFA II” theories into the dust, and is then all “fuck it, I’ll just take him out with one last spectacularly grotesque supermove.” Kacchan is all “lol you fucking dipshit”, and he says it with such confidence that it truly makes me believe he can defeat AFO’s “ALL THE QUIRKS EVER!!” attack with his piddly little exploding bloodsweat quirk. AND IT WILL BE A SIGHT TO SEE.

Yoichi’s name btw is written with the kanji 与 which means “bestow” or “give”, and 一 which means “one.” so basically “one who gives”, which is fitting as the creator of OFA, but also fits in with this new context of being the first “possession” bestowed upon AFO

Why The Thea Stilton Book Series Should have its own Cartoon Series ?

Ok… it has been years since the Geronimo Stilton Cartoon Series has been made…and it has been far too long since the Thea Stilton book series came out and I think it’s about time that it should have their own spin off cartoon series with the Thea Sisters in it .

And I’m going to explain why !!

as a kid, I always loved the Geronimo Stilton books series and I watched the show too. But when I discovered the thea stilton books series…. I immediately started obsessively reading it because I loved thea so much …especially the thea sisters and they are total girl bosses and I remember thinking “ if Geronimo Stilton has its own show, then why can’t we have a spin-off show of Thea Stilton and the Thea Sisters ?”. I think they should have their own spinoff cartoon series of thea and the thea sisters because I think that I would love to see one of the books get animated and curious to see who the voice actors would play the thea sisters. If they would make that into a show…omg my life would be complete 😭❤️

And one of my favorite books so far are “ The legend of the flower fires “, The blue scarab hunt, and the mystery in Paris .” Those I would love to see animated :)

finally finished dmmd!! took me like 15 hours but we got there

general thoughts— had way more plot and world building than i expected, thought itd be just pay gorn to be completely honest

also fun fact since i brought up clears bad ending…. it was the very first ending i got.. so a very nice first impression indeed!

i liked the twins, virus and trip(ik they arent twins but its easuer to js call them that) in the very beginning, tho i did get a weird vibe from them bc twins ALWAYSSS end up being shady in japanese media! so the ending was no surprise

i think ren and aoba definitely do have the cutest good ending and make the most sense but its crazy how they got selfcest(bc ren used to be a part of aoba), incest(bc he came back to life in sei’s body…) and zoophilia(bc he was a dog for years and still has dog mannerisms (tho i dont think that its zoophilia at all its just fun to joke abt)) all in a single LI like damn were they checking off boxes???😭

first thoughts were “yaoi jesus here i come” and final thoughts were “omg fucking finally im done with this game‼️‼️”

overall it was nowhere near as enjoyable as i thought it would be ngl but it was still plenty fun AND its ok bc aoba is an icon and i think everyone who knows what the word yaoi means should definitely play this game. its a monument of queer history!!/hj

this is like my mega post in terms of how i go about writing fics and sums up my process in more words than necessary tbh 😭 i wrote it with long fics in mind (pre-bllk almost every fic i wrote was at or above 100k words) but i think it’s applicable to one shots too!!

this is how i approached writing kaiser in the instrument keep in mind i wrote the first part of the instrument in like june and this post is from july 4th so a LOT of info we know about him now wasn’t even out then!! that said i think it holds up pretty well…this does predate the second part of the instrument which was written much later but i kinda did the same thing there as i did in the first part so it works 😭 not QUITE as applicable to my one fic where he’s a (literal) angel because as a specific au there were adjustments that needed to be made but at the end of the day kaiser is kaiser so yeah (also ignore the part at the end where i say he’s growing on me that was a lie i still don’t fw him)

err as for current writing…i’m finishing up with a silly crack piece that’s a spinoff of another one of my more lighthearted fics so i’m hoping to have that out soon 🤔 and then i have a carnivorous pegasi racing au one shot for sae that i’ve been working on for my 1k event as well as a few other requests that have been rotting in my inbox which i should probs get to (as well as the rest of the stuff for my 1k event 😭)…not sure what will be out next but i’m hoping SOMETHING 😫 i haven’t posted any writing since november with my nagi-found-by-aiku au and any xreader stuff since my kaiser angel au request for my 1k event which was back in mid october 😰

Unpopular take but the Shadow manga was pretty dissapointing from art wise to how different the characters behave from what we have seen in he older games. I just feel like the manga is getting overly praised because " its not idw or american or flynn therefore its good!' While not looking at the short story critical enough.

...What is there to criticize yet? People have been jumping the gun with assumptions that Black Doom retconned Maria's death when we quite literally don't know that for sure. This is the first issue. Maybe give it some room to breathe first.

I plan on reading the issue in full once I buy it, although not knowing Japanese will hinder my comprehension. I likely won't understand the dialogue, but it's not bad, at least from what few snippets I've seen. Certainly, it's no Tolstoy, but like. Does a manga need to be?

You also have to keep the Shiny New Thing(tm) phenomenon in mind. Lots of us have been asking for a Sonic manga for years and now we finally have one. Everything new will initially receive hype before people reexamine it with a critical eye.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and IDW was just starting out, most of us were, in fact, praising the book and getting hyped for new issues. We weren't yet privy to the steep nosedive it'd take in quality following the metal virus.

Hey now, that's not entirely true: I also enjoyed the Schadenfreude of dunking on "Shadow was tortured on the ARK" headcanons. To say nothing of the quality Shadria and that tasty Parasite Eve reference :P

Look, I know I have Shadria goggles strapped on so tight they're practically cutting off circulation to my head, but I feel like that's a little unfair to say considering we've only seen bits and pieces of issue one and have to rely on fan translations to know what's happening on any given page. It's not like we're 15 volumes in and Shadow's done nothing but brood. And just because I wasn't tempering my gushing with "Shadow looks weird in some panels" doesn't mean I wasn't silently thinking the latter. Trying to give the manga the benefit of the doubt here.

When you wander the Fauxteur Desert for years, even cloudy water will look like an oasis. In a series where the majority of fans and creators view the source material with disdain, as something to be mutilated in order to be considered "good," beggars can't be choosers. You have to take whatever Ws you can. It can be simultaneously true that I think the manga is good on its own merits and good because it's better than its contemporaries. One doesn't necessarily negate the other.

Besides, at the risk of sounding massively hypocritical... Is it so bad to feel relieved when you finally get served some decent food in this Chili's and you discover you're not as emotionally broken as everybody says you are? IDW fans gaslight you day in and day out with "you can't read," "you don't understand the characters," "you hate the series," and "you need therapy," and when you find something that brings you joy, for once, amidst the sea of phoned-in spinoffs tha pussyfoot around being faithful to the games at best and regard them with disdain at worst, something that doesn't feel like pulling teeth to read? You realize how full of shit they were.

The Shadow manga is better, objectively speaking. And I don't think it's quite fair to imply that comparisons to IDW should be off the table when we keep getting IDW forced down our throats as the cultural touchstone that defines Sonic, sometimes taking top billing before the games. I had to listen to everyone parrot "Eggman can't plan" as if it were Ohshima-given fact for three and a half years. Certainly, people can handle me going "omg Shadria <3" for a few posts.

The art is better. The blocking is better. The emotional beats land by virtue of being competently executed, instead of thinking we'll be won over by five-paragraph monologues. Sometimes the art carries the story! Wow! Compared to other media where the characters never shut up long enough to let us draw our own conclusions - a problem shared by Archie, IDW, Prime, the films, and Boom - that actually is a lot, all things considered.

And, yes, suffice to say, if fan translations are accurate, the writing is better, if only because it seems to come from a rare place of respecting the source material.

That probably sounds like I have no standards, but you have to realize the bar has been placed in hell and writers continue to cha-cha slide right on under it. IDW has Starline knock Shadow out with a freaking log, whereas in the manga Shadow stops a bullet in midair. I'm sorry I can't shut off my initial gut reaction of "holy shit that was bad ass."

It's not even like he stopped the bullet psychokinetically a la Neo, he caught that shit mid trajectory. Unlike the scene where Shadow gets knocked out with a log, nerfing him in order to hype up an OC, thinking about the logistics of the speed and precision needed to intercept a bullet in such a manner just makes it even cooler.

Good writing is enhanced by the application of thought. It doesn't punish the reader for considering the implications. The writer doesn't tell you to "go read something else" if the narrative disappoints.

This isn't even a contest.

...I know, dude. I'm aware it's not the best thing since sliced bread. It's a serial manga. Not expecting Shakespeare here. I just need it to be relatively faithful to the games and not emit an air of arrogant superciliousness towards the source material.

My standards are incredibly low considering how much higher they could be, and that's because 90% of spinoffs fail at clearing the first bar. If I maintained as stringent a standard as my adoring fans say I do, I'd have absolutely nothing to read lol.

It is impractical for the pogues and rafe to go to Kildare cuz they are OUT FOR BLOOD and will go to lisbon for revenge so kie literally jumping to rafe is NAWT HAPPENING regardless of sofia. So the point I'm saying is, RIARA STOP HATING ON SOFIA YOU FREAKS

Buttt yeses OMG THE PARALLEL. Throughout s3 and s4 there are soo many dialogues and plot lines that can be explored further abt rafe and sofias relationship. The dialogue in the tweet "you are a good girl, how did that happen" itself is very cryptic. Her family which was there yet not mentioned in the story at all. The fact that both were betrayed by themselves (sofia by pushing rafe with hollis and rafe by being a bitch *YES HE IS A BITCH* and shit talking about a person who will literally give up everything for her love by saying she's a pogue behind her back) are insane parallels.

I know KNOW that drew is going to insane levels of fame and heights in acting AS HE FUCKING SHOULD but i would love a small spinoff movie abt how rafe and sofia met. The fact that they didn't even showed how they met yet throwing a proposal (WHICH I AM A OK WITH BTW, it was my favourite scene of the ENTIRE SERIES LEMME TELL U) makes "rafe" fans really weirded out and I kinda agree with them. But I say that it's the writers fault.

Drew and fiona, again and again I will say HAVE INSANE CHEMISTRY. I hate that their dynamics I'd not explored more. Rafe is very very intense and complex and the relationship between a very soft spoken normal girl and a borderline psycho murderer has so much more potential than just being a filler storyline. Rafe has been not loved truly by anyone in his life and the fact that sofia loves him truly even with the amount of minimal screentime shows that these actors are not to be made uses in scarcity

Weirdly with jjs death rafe will probably become one of the centers of the story arc butt again they will be going to Lisbon I don't know how sofia and rafes relationship will be explored. But I know that this is not the end of rofia. I hope to god thar they end up together and we see a montage of them getting married and having kids.

Butt there lies the entire shoupe deal too so im also scared abt that. But I have started praying and there's a year left so atp we can only hope that rafe and sofia end up together.

Also I feel like they should have included fiona in the cast interviews. She is so sweet and bubbly and would have made a great addition to the fun and I WANT TO SEE FIONA AND DREW INTERACT TOGETHER. I hate that even Austin was in the press tour like gtfo.

So basically if rofias not endgame, I will personally b*mb jpates residency so that they don't ruin another ship.
