Mr. Ken? Stop calling me that.
Tumblr media
You were modelling for the new KENTO® magazine when your boss, the CEO, Kento Nanami walks into the room, you were so invested in the cameras flashing and getting the perfect pose that you didn't hear him calling your name. He walks infront of you and you're right in line with his abs. You look up to see a very angry boss. "You answer me when I call you" "Sorry Mr. Ken". You put on your best pout face. "I have decided i am going to marry you". WHATTTT!? You were shocked beyond borders when he randomly popped the question. "So... No proposal? No ring?". "I will get you a ring later, right now we need to sign the papers", "No wedding? I don't accept then", he frowns at your statement. "What is the point?". He starts to walk away but you stop him. "Excuse me?" He turns around and stares at you as if you're stupid, he shakes his head. "We'll only be married for a year anyway". He then takes of with his secretary. It seemed like he only asked you to marry him for work purposes, but he asked you in particular! (the delulu is kicking in) This made you extremely happy for some reason but you weren't going to play easy.
Your back at your apartment you see a bunch of guys moving your stuff. You first instinct is to scream but then you spot Nanami. "What is the meaning of all this?" You complained to Nanami hoping he would get the guys to stop moving your stuff. "If you're going to be my wife, we are going to have to move in together so people don't get suspicious." "But i like my house, i can report you for trespassing" "Listen here lil lady, have you forgotten who i am? Not only am i your boss but your husband too, so I have every right to be in your house" Kento say in a deep tone making you shut up almost immediately as you watched your aesthetic house turn into nothing.
Kento insists he drive you to your new house. You didn't really care if it was a mansion because if it wasn't pink the moment you stepped in, you would have no choice but to run away. He was silent the whole time and you had no intention of talking to him either. "One year isn't that long" He finally spoke. You hesitate but reply "It's not that I don't want to marry you it's just that i need my own private space too." "I understand that and my mansion is big enough for you to have your own private space, you hungry?" "yeah, starved" you reply and he pulls into a mcdonald's drive thru. "Hello, what would you like to order" a female voice came from the 'put your order in' machine. "I would like a big mac meal and for my wife.." Kento looks over to you. "a mcspicy meal and a raspberry kitkat mcflurry, please" "alright that would be £15.78 please." After getting the food Kento hands you to mcdonald's bag and he stops in the car park. After you got your things out, he takes the bag and starts stuffing his face with the big mac. You giggle and he turns to you "What?" "You eat just like any other man, i thought you'd have more manners" you might have laugh too hard as Kento starts to slow down his chewing. "it's okay Mr. Ken, it means you and i can be more comfortable eating together". He puts on an expression that seemed somewhat like a smile and starts to speak. "Mr. Ken? Stop calling me that, I'm your husband now."
(when you get to you guys' new home he makes you sign the marriage papers)

Imagine mc giving birth to their baby. You know, Cove is probably panicking, Baxter pretending he's okay but at some point faints and our brave Derek letting mc crush his hand with theirs lol
And also I've seen a clip of a dude who just witnessed his wife deliver their baby and, with a face full of horror, he told her, "I am SO sorry, I won't do that again. " 🤣😭
I'm just imagining one of the boys saying something like that, in my head it's so funny
omg i almost missed this!!! im so glad you brought this up bc i love thinking abt how the boys are during delivery, especially cove omg (im sorry this is such a ramble... but also not sorry bc my brain worms are dancing in happiness at these thoughts)
cove:
even though you've had months to prepare for this and cliff n kyra has given cove lots of advice, paired with a lot of "don't freak out!" (sometimes followed by something freaky that happens during pregnancy or labor...)
he's prepared for this though. as prepared as an anxious first time dad can be. i mightta said this before, but whether you have him in the room the whole time or just to come cut the cord and hold the baby, is up to you.
if you have him in the room he'll let you hold his hand and he'll be holding yours back (he doesn't notice the pain of your grip for the longest...)
he definitely does what you mentioned and apologizes for putting you thru this LOL
after you give birth, he will do everything... he'll change diapers, put them down for naps, burp, wash, everything... because after that he needs to even the balance (if it was up to him, you'd never lift a finger after that, especially if you have multiple kids via birth)
HE'S ALSO OVERLY PREPARED
delivery bag? more like BAGS. mans has double of everything, he's PETRIFIED
also he runs to any place you want and buys you food while you're in labor if it's really long
and he stays with you up until its go time, then if you want him to wait outside he will
also he faints... or at least gets weak
if you have a c-section he's alrdy freaked out bc... omg they're taking a knife to you thats scary shit
but just natural birth? he's doubly freaked out because your body can do THAT??? you're literally pushing out a whole baby and he is awed but losing his shit honestly
would be babbling praises and encouragements (both for you and himself) n you can tell him to shut up its okay bc he's gonna laugh in the end anyway, but he'll probably end up going quiet bc he's trying not to be distracting and he probably saw something he wasn't prepared for 😬
probably starts crying the closer your baby gets to being out the womb, n after they're fully out and here he's bawling and just realized it but also he's trying to comfort n check on you first so you end up laughing bc he's fretting over you as if he isnt flooding the room
baxter:
mans is NOT CALM
tries to look calm, but he just looks constipated and he looks tired honestly
he's been losing sleep this whole pregnancy bc he's afraid of being a bad father, but he's so excited and ends up staying up at night talking to your belly so he just can't win
surprisingly dropped the collared shirts and slacks
mans is stuck in t-shirts and sweatpants or jeans
his hair is a mess too
omg he's napping when you go into labor
he jumps up, mismatched socks (either he's wearing an ankle cat print sock and a knee high sock, or he's wearing one sock. its bad n i think him wearing one sock is better (worse for him but hes fineeee))
the nurses love him bc he's running in and out bringing you food and runs back to get anything he or you forgot or might need
another over packer
honestly they're all over packers who are we kidding
this is where is wedding planner job comes in handy
has backups and plan b's for everything
and even though everything is right he brings extra just to feel better
won't be in the room if you want that ofc, but he psychs himself up to be in there
he's really scared n nervous, more-so than cove actually. but he wants to support you and if you want him in there, he's there. even if you reassure him he doesn't have to be there, he wants to be
he has to sit down while he's there, his leg is shaking and he's torn between watching whatevers going on over there and watching your face for any signs which.. doesnt really make sense since labor isnt like going to the waterpark but he has a kind heart <33
spends so much time looking at the baby... cove does too but baxter spends double that time
watches the nurses and doctors like a hawk whenever they mess w the baby
will curl up next to your bed and thanks you so much for giving him such a beautiful life, this is all stuff he never thought he'd have and he's so happy
derek:
he's actually the calmest one
he has 2 siblings and even though he was young when they were born, he has lots of experience with babies and he prepared
isn't that bad of an over packer actually, just extra baby stuff and some of the best snacks
but he'll still surprise you with your favorite food or takeout
he will do anything for you during labor, remind him to just sit down and hold your hand n stfu, thats what nurses n doctors are for n he really can't help much atp, its all up to you and the nurses+doc
holds your hand even though you might be hurting him. will just wince thru it or convince you to switch hands
will keep giving encouragement and either times it perfectly so he doesn't get on your nerves or you have to kindly ask him to shut up bc you're not playing ball, it isnt helping!!!!
also pulls a cove and does a lot of the work around the house and with the baby bc that was tough work, labor and carrying the baby? you deserve it!!!
ends up talking n holding the baby a lot, is probably a little scared since theyre so little and just holds their hand or looks at them
you sometimes wake up to him mumbling stuff to the baby, abt how happy he is, how he's going to take care of you both, how much he loves them...
carries everything outta the hospital by himself (by everything he means your hand and the baby, his family is probably dragging your stuff to the car bc they're here to help n make your life a million times easier and its literally a sleepover with nico around)
anyway. i need more dad!derek hc's now, specifically uncle nico and jorge, bc that is such a big brain thought
now this applies to all the boys honestly, i didnt even think abt it until now
but he helps you walk to the bathroom and put on all the pads n underwear n stuff if you need it
i remember seeing a youtube short where the woman said her fiance or husband helped her walk to the bathroom, spray her coochie w the water spray bottle, and with the underwear stuff
so don't worry about how you look or if it's icky because you're all sore and/or stitched up or anything like that because he's not paying attention, he just wants to help you in any way possible

Wedding Night (Christian Pulisic x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WC: 1.3K
Warnings: cursing
A/N: don't be fooled by the title cuz it has no smut 🤭 this is pure fluff! and again this was not proofread lol. hope you guys enjoy and i’d love to hear your thoughts thru ask/reply/reblog 💗 apologies for any errors! feedbacks are highly appreciated 🤍
-
You and Christian just tied the knot, and now the celebration has come to end. The clock showed 12 AM, which means it was time for the bride and groom to leave the dance floor and move to the bridal suite.
As you two left the venue, everyone kept saying “have fun” as they assumed you were about to do the “wedding night” tradition – but tonight, it was not the case.
You had been awake since 4 AM and occupied since – getting your makeup and hair done, putting your wedding dress on then changing it to another dress for the reception and afterparty, doing photo sessions, you name it – so at the end of the biggest and best day of your life, you couldn’t help but feel exhausted. You were at your happiest, of course, but you still needed rest. Christian understood this, therefore he was more than okay to go straight to bed and sleep.
Baby, it doesn’t have to be tonight… Because we don’t have to celebrate our first night as a married couple with sex. If you’re tired, then we can just go to sleep.”
You were in awe of how understanding your husband is. That’s one of the billion reasons why you were one hundred percent sure you wanted to marry him.
“Plus… You know you can do me whenever you want to, right?” He winked and gave you a cheeky smile.
When the elevator doors opened, he lifted you up and carried you "bridal style" to your room. You laughed the entire time and he was laughing along with you – too hard he almost dropped you a few times. You opened the door and as you both entered your room – still carried by Christian – your head accidentally hit the door jamb.
“Ouch!” You slightly yelled as you immediately touched your head.
“Oh fuck, baby, I’m sorry!” He apologized and kissed your head.
He then asked in genuine concern. “Does that really hurt?”
“I’m okay love, it was just a reflex.” You assured him.
Relieved, he closed the door with his foot and playfully tossed you into the bed. He then jumped into the bed and laid down next to you, still laughing with each other. Not long after, his lips found their way into yours. Your eyes were closed, feeling his soft lips gently moving against yours and it got you nearly breathless – it was filled with passion and affection. When your lips parted, you saw him looking deeply into your eyes with a smile on his face – admiring how beautiful his forever bride is. Him staring so deep made you blushing and all giddy, you had to ask him to stop.
“Honey… Stop it!” You blurted as you playfully pushed his face away.
“What, am I not allowed to adore my wife now?” He teased you.
When he said that, you had literal chills. At the moment, the fact that you both are married still felt surreal. Oh my God… I’m Christian’s wife!
“Wait, baby, say that again!” You excitedly tried to make him say “my wife” again.
“What, am I not-”
“Not the whole thing, dummy.” You jokingly cut him off. “I meant the last part.”
“Umm… ‘Now’?” He pretended to be clueless just to mess with you.
“Good lord.” You rolled your eyes.
He laughed then gave you a little peck on the lips.
“I love you, my wife.”
You were still in your wedding dress and lazily got off the bed to change. Not only that, the makeup on your face felt pretty heavy and you thought there were too many bobby pins on your head – you just couldn’t wait to take them off.
He helped you take off your wedding dress then get you your comfy pajamas. He also grabbed the makeup remover and a pack of facial cottons from your bag and put them above the counter in the bathroom like you asked him to. You were whining about having to remove your makeup and take off millions of bobby pins of your hair when all you wanted was just to finally rest.
He heard you from the other room and thought it was really cute. He couldn’t stop laughing at your whining while he changed his clothes. He then tried to make fun of you.
“Oh, is my poor baby having a rough moment now? There’s people that are dying, Y/N.” He said sarcastically.
You laughed at his comment, you got the reference he used.
“Hey, how dare you! Don’t be such a Kourtney!” You playfully shouted in response.
Now also in his pajamas, Christian went to the bathroom to help you. When he came in, you were just done cleaning your face and about to move onto your hair. He wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, kissed your cheeks, and rested his chin on one of your shoulders.
“Wow, how lucky am I that I get to spend my life with the most beautiful person on earth?” He softly said into your ears.
“Oh, stop it…” You blushed.
Since the first time you two know each other, he loves to shower you with compliments. You thought it would only last at the beginning, but overtime you learned that it is one of his most prominent ways of showing his love. No one has ever complimented you the way Christian does, therefore at first you came off a little awkward as you didn’t really know how to handle compliments. But now you've gotten used to it and he has never failed to make you blush every time.
He then offered to help you remove the bobby pins off your hair, and since there were a lot of them, you happily accepted his help. He thought you were exaggerating about how many bobby pins on your hair, but when he saw them closely he was genuinely surprised.
“Holy shit! This is a lot! How could you feel comfortable having these on your head all day? Geez, I could never!” He shook his head.
“Who said I was comfortable?” You chuckled.
He carefully removed the pins one by one. A few times you flinched and when he saw that, he stopped for a bit to make sure you were okay.
“Oops, sorry, did I hurt you Y/N?”
“That’s okay baby, it was just a little pull.” You assured him.
After a while, you both finally took all the pins off your hair, and you sighed in relief. But even though you had removed those, your hair still felt kind of stiff because of the hairspray used. Afterwards, you decided to take a long shower.
When you came out of the bathroom, you saw Christian just finished making the bed. Your heart completely melted by his gesture. You knew it was a bare minimum but you always appreciate everything he does for you no matter how little or huge it is – and vice versa.
You came up to him and gave him a passionate kiss. After you broke the kiss, he was stunned for a second and bit his lip.
“Hey… what was that for?” He asked.
“To thank you for helping me clean up. And make the bed. And because I'm truly grateful I married the most wonderful man in the world.” You said before you leaned in for another kiss.
“And I you.” He said softly with a big smile on his face.
As you gazed into each other’s eyes, a yawn spontaneously left your mouth. Your eyes started to feel very heavy and you didn’t think you could hold them open for too long. He noticed how sleepy you were, therefore he put you to bed.
“Too bad I can’t even stay up to open the gifts, huh?” You murmured.
“Don’t worry baby, first thing in the morning.” He replied.
You and Christian were spooning under the cover. Before he slept. he gently kissed your shoulder, your cheek, your ear and the top of your head. You couldn’t help but giggled, and he followed. Then he whispered into your ear.
“Goodnight, my wife.”
“Goodnight, my husband.”
That night, both of you went to sleep beaming as the new Mr. and Mrs. Pulisic.

MY EXPERIENCE W/ TIT TOUR (tysons 2)
( written while looping I'm Not Okay (I Promise) by MCR, and also a car alarm going off outside my dorm room repeatedly :') )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NON-SPOILER SECTION:
SO many sweet people in line. someone gave us (me, my best friend, and my other beautiful friend) custom dan & phil stickers (pictured above), there was a lovely person in cat whiskers making sure people knew the difference between the gen admission & silver line, etc. phannies have the coolest fashion sense all the sick lovely lesbians were making me nervous... <3
s/o to my best friend's running capacity we were first in merch line!!! I am so endlessly happy with my photocard haul especially the uni hoodie one that one is my FAVORITE, also I love this long-sleeve so much. I almost got more merch but I held myself back and I think that was a good call! Also a super cool phannie made custom photocards and I got a silly dan one :D
y'all already saw but I met Clo @bitchslapblastoids who is the first mutual I have ever met in real life ever! between you and me... she is super kind and also really cool :]
our seats were so good!! balcony like row F or whatever but it worked out <3 our seatmate was also very kind!!!
pre-show people danced to HOT TO GO! and someone held up a Palestine flag and we all cheered! and people were moshing to von dutch which is so beautiful to me
SPOILER SECTION:
List of favorite jokes included: "Now our show passes the Bechdel test!" "I have kind of an aloof sociopath vibe going. ... which has worked for me :)" "[I am not satisfied on screen] What was that about? // I think I was just horny that day." "Scared of my life without you when I kill you!" "Dan had depression :D!!" "Enough about the gay, we've already done the gay// Enough about the depression, we've already talked about the depression."
No "sorry daddy, I mean father" line, which is devastating, BUT we didn't get the whole 'do you think Dan Howell' can commit schpiel with the wedding... much to think about
our conspiracies were pumpkin, faked sleepless night 3, bar, and wedding! i deeply wanted the other conspiracies i am so not going to lie but it's okay...
our "one minute" tangent was about electricity, clo made a post about this but they made a God and Adam joke because Phil tried to electrocute Dan and it failed so they were just awkwardly touching fingertips for a period of time
Nothing could have prepared me for the Phil on top of Dan choking him with the llama hat thing. Like i knew it was going to happen but still nothing could have prepared me. i think i fully grabbed my best friend's arm and shoulders and shook them a bit
our confessions and like nolemodel bit were really funny shout out DMV phannies!!!
Really made me sad when phil made the joke about babysitting like NO!!! YOUR CONTENT IS THE REASON I CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT WHEN MY PARANOIA IS BAD!!!!!!!! I LOVE U HIATUS YR CONTENT PHIL!!!! But his whole thing about the hiatus being a good thing in the end because it brought us here... <333
every segment felt perfectly timed and the entire show was just so funny and good. Like ultimately i can yearn for having gotten different conspiracies or slightly different vibes but altogether it was incredible.
THE SONG WAS LIFE-CHANGING. I knew more about it thru spoilers than I had thought but either way not only was it so fucking good, like, I'm going to get I-D-G-A-F it saved me tattooed. I have decided this.
WRAP UP THOUGHTS:
I first got into Dan and Phil when I was 11/12-- my first video was post Daniel Howell rebrand, and it was Daniel and Depression, I'll give you three guesses as to why my friend at the time recommended that video. I was obviously a die-hard phan at the time, reading phic and watching the compilations and obsessed with their gaming videos. I remember being like, unfathomably depressed trying to do math homework in bed, and just 'secretely' watching their videos instead. I can remember exactly when the first WDAPTEO dropped, and like how much I wanted to go to interactive introverts but was too scared to (I think I'm glad I didn't go for personal reasons) but my friends did go. I remember I was leaving summer gym class before I started HS when Basically I'm Gay dropped, and watching it-- but I was 13 almost 14, closeted, and while it resonated with me it didn't really hit me that strongly? I remember being most taken aback by the confirmation of their relationship, and the conclusion Dan left about his own sexuality had an impact on me wrt rejecting the constraints of labels, but it didn't really hit me crazily. during hiatus years I watched solo AP semi often but so much was happening... obviously, when the hiatus returned, i came back full force. when it's summer and i can't sleep at night, I watch AP hiatus years solo content; I watched most of the Dystopia Dailys; I saw We're All Doomed's digital release w/ the same best friend I went to TIT with; and obviously, you all have seen me talk about their collaborative content. But after that time, maybe even a bit before the hiatus ended, I rewatched Basically I'm Gay. after all I went through in high school (nothing quite like his experiences, but aspects of it resonated through), that video hit me like a fucking truck-- it made me realize the inherent amount that my queer identity played in my trauma, and it like... made me really emotional lol. also, Phil's openness about his chronic illness has meant a lot especially as I battle with my own-- not chronic illness, but, physical health battles. So when they sang IDGAF it saved me, that was like fucking earth-shattering to me, because they did save me! from when i was 12 years old struggling to do work, wondering why i was so tired every day but at least having them to cheer me up-- to being 19 years old, joints aching and emotionally stressed, watching their pizza mukbang 2 and seeing how much happier they are, how much happier I am. they saved me. and i love them so, so fucking much.
On a very different note, seeing them live has colored my whole, uh, envisioning Dan Howell being trapped in my head in order to cope with my day to day mental isolation, issue, as being like... maybe not the move. so i'm trying to get more used to the quiet of my own head, but hey, over the years, they've helped a lot with that.
I wish i could have met them just to say all these things i'm realizing now, after seeing the show. but TLDR: TIT tysons 2 was the best night of my life. i love them, i love them, i love them, i love them, and i hope they know. i dunno how to move forward with my life after an experience like last night, just, God. i love you dan and phil. i love you phandom. it saved me. TIT saved me.

part of the fun of rabbit animagus harry potter is he's hideable. Instead of 7 potters they stick him in a pet carrier
or they could've just apparated with him to right outside whatever warded hideout they chose to go to. or to the location of a portkey. or literally anything other than the monumentally stupid plan they ended up going with.
that whole opening sequence feels like it just got put in there to add a sense of drama and excitement to the story (before the endless pages of wedding nonsense...which finally gets broken up with some brief action that leads almost immediately to more endless pages of camping boredom) so the story can start off with a bang. but...it's kinda dumb. its like jkr's editor got halfway thru the book and was like 'ma'am. im on page 500 and nothing has happened. u need to add something dramatic at the beginning so ppl get excited. this book has been super hyped up. ppl are gonna be going into expecting high stakes and action and this is not it.' and so they just shoved something contrived in.
literally why would they do that. why couldn't harry side-along with someone to right outside andromeda's house, run inside - within the safety of the wards, and take the portkey from there. or even better. WHY NOT JUST TAKE A PORTKEY DIRECTLY FROM PRIVET DRIVE?!
literally there is no downside to that. instead they decide to move him by broom out in the open using an incredibly convoluted scheme that puts everyone at tremendous and unnecessary risk. also even within the general framework of their utterly insane scheme why not just have everyone polyjuice into a random person? instead of 7 potters how about NO potters. wouldn't that make more sense. like. then the death eaters would have no idea who to attack. or the very least they should've had decoy harry's and the real harry should've been disguised as someone else.
oh and to cap it all off it seems like not everyone on the mission even wanted to be there. mundungus was apparently pressured into it. and promptly (and predictably) ditches the second things get dangerous which begs the question - why did they even make him participate? then again. maybe mundungus was the smartest one there because he survives by APPARATING AWAY TO SOMEWHERE SAFE. Which. They could've all done immediately upon leaving Privet Drive, thus avoiding any danger.
im not saying there aren't plot holes in the other books but this is another instance where book 7 feels so much sloppier and more careless than the other books. it feels like no reasonable amount of effort was put in and jkr just wrote whatever to fill up pages. which is bizarre because it's not like there wasn't a lot of fodder for good content. the wizarding world is at war. voldemort is the most powerful he's been during the whole series. there's lots to write about. but instead we get a really dumb and contrived fight scene followed by wedding planning and camping with all the actually interesting things like breaking into the ministry and the horcrux hunt squeezed into rushed segments that jkr seems to want to get through as fast as possible so she can get back to having the characters wander around aimlessly.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
Ynwon are married!!. We ended on Jungwon going to the altar and YN ready to marry her guy.
Bahiyyih made YNs dress and the dresses of the bridesmaids + all of YN and Jungwons family.
Theo, didn't really give ynwon a choice when it came to officiating the wedding.
There was a fight over who will be the one to give YN away. Sirius, Harry and Ron almost got into a physical fight over it.
YN asked Lucius Malfoy to be the one to give her away. She may love the Weasleys, Sirius and the Potters.
But the Malfoys were the first ones to help her when everything went wrong so her bond with them is special.
Ynwon go for a nice long honeymoon, like a month long honeymoon. Why? cause they could 😂.
Sirius gifted the couple a little cottage in Hogsmeade. Which they're friends were supposed to furnish, get all their stuff there while ynwon were on they're honeymoon.
Soul not wanting to let YN go, still hasn't managed to get all of her things moved into the new cottage.
So for another month, YN is still going to her old apartment to get clothes and random things that she's still got there.
Jungwon getting tired of this, talks to Soul and they get all of YNs things moved in.
One day, Ron comes to tell YN that her dad died in Azkaban.
At this point it's been 5 years since her family were jailed and YN never went to meet them, despite them writing her letters and asking her to meet them.
Unsurprisingly this sends YN into a spiral, wondering if she should've gone to meet her family, relief that her father that terrorised her childhood is gone. Wondering if she's a bad person for being relieved that her father's dead.
This spiral sends YN into bad coping mechanisms. She starts isolating herself from everyone, pushing everyone away.
Jungwon notices immediately that something is wrong but thinks YN wil come to him and waits for him.
Which doesn't happen since 2 days later, Jungwon comes home to YN sobbing over a photograph of her whole family that she didn't know she had.
YN reveals everything to Jungwon, who talks her into going back to therapy.
Being in therapy helps, when time comes for her dad's funeral. YN goes with her best friends.
Jungwons friends wonder why he didn't go with her but it's YN who asked him not to come along.
YN feels this is something she has to face herself, her best friends come because they know how her dad was, they're own families were similar to him.
For all of them, the funeral of Moon Haesung is burying they're own pasts and traumas.
He's a physical representation that they can move on, they're parents and families do not have a hold over them. All of them are working thru the trauma they've got because of them.
After the funeral, Jungwon is there for YN when she gets home, reminding her that her past doesn't define her. Her family doesn't define her.
Reminding her that he loves her, regardless of everything she's been thru and that she's strong and it's okay to breakdown with him because he'll always be there.
So that got heavy. Back into happier things. Jungwon has achieved his dream, he's a junior lawyer at H&R.
YN, got her masters and is working on getting her teaching qualification, so she's a trainee professor at the moment.
Only teaching 1st, 2nd and third years, majority are in love with her 😂. Which makes the older students jealous, so they all come to her for advice 😂😂.
Jay is now an auror trainer. He suffered an injury and even with magic, going back into the force wasn't worth it.
Working in the ministry, Jays become very close to Chaehyun. Literally no one is surprised when they announce theyre dating.
Sunghoon, after reaching peak stardom and using magic to avoid paparazzi, falls in love with another top star. Very much a off screen and on screen romance.
Bahiyyih is a successful seamstress, she's taken over Madame Malkin's and is planning on opening another store in Paris.
Gaeul & Wonyoungs business is so big that the girls need help on making it still be the best but not skimping on quality. Theo is their saving grace, he helps them and that is a trio no one expected 😂.
Heeseung gave up on being a CEO to be a full time event planner and he's the best in the business. He offers his services to both magicals and muggles so it really is a booming business.
Troublemakers Inc, they're still in business and thought they've had it tough, they are doing okay rn.
Healer Jake is out here saving ppl and living his best life, he went thru a rigourous training period and now he's everyone's go to healer 😂.
The Choi's, have all got one degree by this point. Yeonjun uses his chemistry degree to tutor students in the subject and is making bank.
Jungwons pretty sure he's using Magic to help his students but he can't prove it and it's not hurting anyone so he's letting it go.
The ravenclaw in Soobin really came out, he's back in uni getting another degree.
Chaos agent Beomgyu, went from uni student to Quidditch player. Remember Keeho being salty he wasn't made England captain...
Guess who did make captain.... Beomgyu is an unhinged captain but he gets results, England wins the Quidditch World Cup after 85 years.
Since getting married, ynwon are invited everywhere. Sirius with the Lupins expects them for dinner on Mondays.
Tuesdays, is for various Weasleys. Ynwon are meeting either a Weasley or a Weasley spouse for lunch or dinner.
Wednesday's is for their friends, they alternate whose friend group they have dinner with.
Thursday is date night. Either with Jay & Chaehyun or Sunghoon & his gf. If it's not double or group dates then it's ynwon being a cute ass couple.
All the restaurants and shops in Hogsmeade know that ynwon will be out and abt on Thursday. It's an unspoken rule that if ynwon come to ur business on a Thursday, they get a discount.
Lastly Friday is dinner with the Potters. Which is gatecrashed by practically everyone 😂.
Despite busy schedules, weekends are times for ynwon to do things together. They get whatever work they have done in their joint office on the weekend.
Also Heeseungs events tend to be on the weekend, so that keeps their weekends busy as well.
Teddy and his crush on YN while gone completely, he's 14 now. Obviously he's moved on.
But Teddy is still the head of the Professor YN is the best club. He's the first to figure out which 1st, 2nd or 3rd years have gotten a crush on YN.
He takes a weird amount of joy from ruining these kids lives by telling them that YNs happily married.
Teddy is always talking to Jungwon abt the various boys that have a crush on YN and the funny things they do to get her attention and how oblivious YN is to all of that.

background.
for 10 years it was just forrest and his mama lydia in their cozy little trailer at locke row, he’s never met his dad who left as soon as he discovered she was pregnant, not really interested in raising a kid with someone who struggled to get by even while working three jobs
from a young age forrest had to take care of himself since his mama worked sm, but he always got the concept that it was for him to live a good life and necessary for them to get by, she rly showed it well by making sure he knew how much she loved him whenever she cld b around :’)
it was around this time that things were starting to look up - his mama met a really nice man named marcel n while things moved really fast for them they seemed to be a perfect match, soon she was engaged and giving birth to triplets and they even moved into his place in hyland park, everything was coming up roses
miscarriage/mental illness; unfortunately as soon as things were good they sort of came to an immediate crash - lydia n marcel tried for another bebe before their wedding but she ended up having a miscarriage :( this sort of sent her into a depressive spiral for a really, really long time
it was bad enough that marcel eventually had enough, she wouldn’t take her medication, wouldn’t talk to a therapist, couldn’t even get out of bed, so he said she had to shape up or go back to their place in locke row, and stubborn as she was she packed everything up that night and the 5 of them went back to their little trailer, this time with a lot less room and a lot more responsibility on forrest’s shoulders
since he was about 14 he’s juggled an abundance of jobs to help his family, it was especially hard when they moved back to locke row, he mostly took care of his little brothers and mum when he could but he had art school at the time and work on top of it, it rly was the sort of stress no one shld go thru but he did at a rly young age for quite a long time
details.
lives for their art!!!! their dream is to eventually teach art or run their own photography studio, almost always covered in paint and seen with a camera
still lives at locke row w his family, his mum got a pretty well paying job as a psw but it’s still difficult when u have three 12 year olds running around so forrest watches over them a lot while working as a tour guide and bartender, while selling their art pieces and doing odd photography jobs while they can, whatever will put money on the table
mental illness; grew up incredibly shy and with pretty severe anxiety, they're just used to people leaving so it’s hard for them to trust but he’s also a classic golden retriever boy, if people give him an inch he’ll take it right away but he struggles with approaching people himself, definitely wasn’t too popular in school bc of this
did a double major at the community college for photography and visual arts :yum:
he tries not to do Too many photography jobs cuz he loves it more as their escape than anything, travels around the island a lot to find random locations and will just spend hours taking pictures, u cant see any of the walls in his tiny bedroom theyre jst covered in his own pictures and art
could paint for hours too tbh (see above ofc), does a lot of art classes whenever he has time and money to spare
has never been in a relationship or even with anyone, the most he’s done frankly is casual make outs at parties or wtvr, always kinda chickens out if it ever goes any further……….. has not picked up on the fact that hes a demisexual/demiromantic king<3 probs doesnt even kno what that is LKSHDGKLHSDG
bc of this wtvr friendships hes made hes definitely romanticized, frankly by accident, he can just grow attached quite easily and since hes demiromantic anytime hes ever had a crush on someone its been ppl hes close to n has learned to trust. it confuses him a lot. LKSDHGKLHSDLG
obsessed w 80s pop its easily their fav genre (taste)
connections.
childhood friends!!
also ppl who forced their way into his life, basically jst approached him first n as soon as they showed him any sort of kindness n affection he was automatically like . ok we’re attached fr life sis
neighbours at locke row?? mayhaps?? #trailerliving
ppl at parties who’ve made a move or he’s hooked up w but when it came down to the Nitty Gritty he was like . oh………….. i think my mums calling me……….. i gtg……………………….. jst no explanation. LKSHDGKLHDSGL
i rly lov the idea of him hvin someone he loves to use as his muse……. either fr his art or photography
mayb someone who he actually was almost in a relationship w once upon a time bt it jst didnt work out, timing was off or he backed out cuz he felt bad that he probs cldnt give them his full attention w helping his family etc.
coworkers!!
old college classmates/ppl who take art classes w him??
ok i think those r all the ideas i hv rn. we can also brainstorm. lets get wild.

adventure time
When you become a mother in the eleventh grade, as Lucy quickly discovers, your openness to adventure time drops dramatically.
And it’s not like Lucy was all that adventurous before she had Elenore last year. She was more interested in getting work done than in wrapping herself up in the moment. That was for people like Will, who never seemed to worry about what might happen tomorrow because right now was always more interesting to him; more important. Maybe that was why Lucy fell in love with him. When she would sit up every night before school in ‘82 and ‘83, terrified that she wouldn’t do well on that week’s math quiz, Will just didn’t think about it at all. He’s the perfect person to go on adventures with, then, because he actually knows exactly what to do.
Unfortunately, since Will also became a father in the eleventh grade, his sense of adventure time has really taken a nosedive, too.
Lucy decides they need to invent their own small adventures. That way, she thinks, she can feel more like a whole person and not just somebody’s mother (the thing she’s always been most afraid of; the thing she’ll probably fear for the rest of her life, even once Elenore is grown up and moved out). So, one night when Will is asleep after a long shift at the little market, Lucy grabs Elenore out of her crib and tells her they’re going to sneak out.
Of course, Elenore – who will be a year old in about a week – doesn’t really know what that means. But she smiles and laughs when Lucy picks her up and gives her kisses, so Lucy figures they’re both in for this one. She gets Elenore in the car, and they drive a mile and a half to the nearby Burger King.
“That’s right, Elenore,” Lucy says as she rolls down her window in the drive-thru. “We’ve snuck out, and now, we’re ordering chicken tenders. Ain’t nothin’ like the real thing, baby.”
Elenore smiles and laughs some more, which makes Lucy laugh, even when she’s ordering herself some chicken tenders. For a second, she catches a glimpse of herself in the rearview mirror and can’t believe this is the person she is. She’s eighteen years old with a baby in the backseat, and the baby is hers. She has a wedding band on her finger, and she’s had it for almost two years. Most eighteen-year-old people are supposed to be going to parties, mixing drinks that taste more like piss than they should, and messing up in their introductory classes at whatever college they got into. Those are adventures. At the very least, they’re adventure adjacent: something they’ll look back on fondly and joke that they’ll never be able to tell their children.
But then, in about two blinks of her eyes, Lucy realizes she doesn’t care.
She’s not really insecure about any of this. Lucy Callaghan doesn’t do things unless she really wants to do them, and when she chose Will and Elenore, she knows she was also choosing herself. Who cares if she’s a senior in high school with a baby in the backseat? Who cares if the baby is hers? This is what she wanted. She wanted her daughter, she wanted her husband, and she wanted to be the kind of woman who gets up in the middle of the night to order mediocre chicken tenders from a mediocre fast food joint. Adventure time isn’t one-size-fits-all, in the end. Adventure time is what you make of it.
And if Lucy wants her adventure time to look a lot like late-night drive-thru meals and turning up the volume on “Goin’ out of My Head” on the AM oldies station, then that’s an adventure.
A big one, too, while she’s at it.
She pulls up to the next window.

August 22, 2023
I opened my earlier text from this month and I don't feel like it does this month justice so I will run a recap of this whole month in a new post. This month was a busy one for me because I had more social events than not. I've cancelled on plans and scheduled hang outs for next month because I feel like I'm burnt out. Which is kind of funny because I haven't read a lot (I was in a slump) and I still haven't found a new job. Obviously, the month hasn't ended so new stuff might pop up but so far, this is what have happened.
On August 2nd, I had a job interview in person with a place searching for a Receptionist/Admin Assistant in Irvine. The drive there wasn't as bad and I kind of liked the feel of the place. I feel like the interview wasn't bad and I felt like I did kind of well, but they had me role play customer service. I feel as though I choked because I was put on the spot which is the only downside of it, but I think that's what didn't land me the job because I was well dressed and I was early. I even bought a blazer for this occassion. I thought it was annoying that they made me have an in person interview if it wasn't that serious and they ended up ghosting me so that was slightly annoying. I don't regret it tho. I felt like I did decent so it's their loss tbh.
On August 9th, Tim and I attended David Alvareeezy and Hunter March's Crowd Pleasers live show in Los Angeles. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing for us. We did think about going the day before because we realized that Tim was conviently off that day. David promoted the event in previous Youtube videos but we didn't think too much of it because we're like yeah it could be fun, but we weren't going out of our way to plan it into our schedules because we didn't think it'd be too fun. Anyways, it was a spur purchase but we really enjoyed it. We arrived an hour before the event which was pretty weird for us, but there's a parking lot across the venue for $20 all day so that was kind of cool and quick. We got into line and I really had to pee, but we had an hour to waste so we were just fat chilling. I don't remember why I was annoyed at Tim, probably because he kept talking about how funny he is and how the Camboys and the group will notice him and get him on stage whatever the fuck, but I had to pee so I didn't need him to chatter my ear off. After getting our wristband, even though we didn't plan on drinking, we went inside "to the bar" because I had to pee lmao. There was an Asian guy staring at us that I was almost 99% was Vic, Jill's boyfriend, that helped us load the carpet into Tim's car, but apparently it wasn't and he was just weird. We got to our seats early because we were inside (boo yeah) and so we got really good corner seats and were probably in the center of attention. All of David's friends came which I thought was very nice and cute. I waved at Rec, Brian, and we kind of talked to Marcus. Lowkey I think our interaction with Marcus was awkward but I think he was drunk so it be like that. We also saw the SuburbTalks pod people, and VIET, he's so effing small like it was NOT what we were expecting at all. Anyway, the whole show was really fun and cool-- I expected it tbh because I do enjoy David's content. And at the end of the day, Hunter RT'ed my tweet because I was real and tagged him hahhahhahah.
August 12, I attended Christy's wedding. She apparently is related to me but I swear I have never seen her ever. I have a post about this day so I'm not gonna say anything else. Next time, I wish Tim comes with me because it was so fucking awkward. I have another wedding to attend in October so hopefully he comes thru. ALSO, they said the groom tested positive for COVID-19 and will be double masking, but mf was NOT masked at all and was diddly-daddling.
August 16, we went to Wild Rivers, a waterpark, with Fermin, Kevin, and Jaz!! I was kind of iffy about it at first because I was like yeah, going to a waterpark is fun, but like why would we go and be judged. ME ESPECIALLY because of how I get with water. And then we found out it would only be the three and us, I was like, bruh, this is going to be awkward. But I'm glad we went bc it was super fun and a much needed break. The first ride was iffy bc I had to strain my back to hold onto the handles because I was sitting next to fucking Kevipoo. But after that, the rides were fun. A lot of yt ppl were there which made it weird, but we didn't really care after we had our fun. We went onto a ride where this girl was trying to cut us in line because she claims "we were walking slow" like girl I'm sorry are we trying to have fun or are you rushing somewhere HMMM. And her bf or whatever was like "it's ok!!!!" I'm like bitch u can go in front of us fucking rude ass because you are NOT ruining my vibe rn. Anyway, she was a basic ass yt girl and when I looked at the guy, I thought he'd be at least like TALL, but mf was a basic yt nerd as well. I'm like WITH YOUR ATTITUDES AND YOU WANNA BE UGLY TOO LIKE the scale of hotness and craziness is not helping you. I kind of felt bad for judging him because he didn't do anything, but by association, the attitude is yours too and the math isn't mathing. Being in line next to them was freaking annoying as well. Then we went to the wave pool which was a pain in the ass, but I feel like we stayed there the longest. My yitties came out a few times which I knew was gonna happen. Idk why Tim was so shocked like we were HIT. Fermin let Tim and I go, and somehow, we floated all the way to the end of the pool and I, being the small ass, slipped past the rope, and the lifeguard FUCKING blew her whistle at me twice. LIKE IM TRYING TO GET OUT ITS NOT MY FAULT PEOPLE PUSHED ME. anyway, I was fucking mad and freaking out so yuh. But we had our fun at the waterpark.
August 17, Tim and I went to Universal's Studios. We arrived pretty late tbh, and didn't get to go on 2 rides that we usually go on, but it was okay. The park also was closing early.
August 19th, I was supposed to go to McKayla's birthday, but I didn't. McKayla is Julie's niece and she was turning 1. I was in the mindset of going and got up early to go, but after awhile, I'm like yeah I don't wanna drive to Irvine and interact with people. So I bailed out on that hehehhe ooopsies.
So that's my month so far. Until next time.
Books I read this month;
The Nanny by Lana Ferguson (5.5/10) I didn't like this book as much as I thought I would/Tara did. The MMC has heterochromia eyes, which make me think of Luna so it made me feel a bit weird. Also, he was VERY dirty mouthed for a father which there's nothing wrong, but the fact that his little daughter was sleeping next door while he did this gave me the ick. The OF aspect for the FMC made it confusing. Not really, but it forced the book to feel modernized and I didn't especially like that aspect. I didn't connect to the characters as much as I did for the other nanny/single dad book and I was highly disappointed. I was attached with one line to the FMC's best friend.
Disrespectfully Yours by Jennifer Chipman (5.5/10) I thought this would be an interesting read based on the name. However, the book dragged on and I wasn't attached to any of the characters. At first, it gave me the Hating Game vibes and as much as I liked the book, I didn't like how it was kind of a copy and paste situation how they have a retreat and the MMC was attached by hip to the FMC. I don't think I knew the tropes correctly because I was taken for a loop when they started a FWB thing. I didn't like it at all. I did like how the FMC was tall and not the usual damsel in distress vibe, but that's kind of it. Also, the friends of the FMC has a cute group name which I really liked. I MIGHT read one of the earlier books just because of the professor x grad student vibe, but not so sure if it will drag on like this.
Consider Me by Becka Mack (4.5/10) This book was an absolute drag. I only picked it up because people said it was a similar vibe to Garrett Graham from The Deal, which is true, but this girl had absolutely nothing. I went on Goodreads and people were annoyed with the book because the FMC was a pick me girl, which I agreed, knowing how hard it was to read and how I disliked her. I don't know like she had no original personality like the FMC from The Deal. Yeah, the MCC was a golden retriever and all, but like he had no personality rather than make her happy. I mean, good for her and all but that shit's BORING. Give me SOMETHING. Although this book was the absolute drag through the mud, I kind of liked one of the side characters that was in the book. He also has a story, and the FMC of that book has a spicy personality so I might bite.
So Not Meant to Be by Meghan Quinn (8/10) Tara said it was too early for a reread, but it is what it is. I read it while reading Consider Me so it was a nice pallet cleanser. However, reading it a second time, I realized how annoying the FMC is, which is why the rating decreased. I still like certain parts aka JP CANE, but the FMC is so fucking annoying and keeps comparing herself for no reason. Like love yourself a lil.
Reverse Pass by Maggie Rawdon (7.8/10) This was such a cute idea. It was a pallet cleanser from Consider Me. It was short and simple. I enjoyed how much the MMC was considered a player hence why he's a sport player, hehhehe, but he was such a simp for his childhood crush, sister's best friend. He was such an innocent puppy for her that it was cute. The FMC was okay the whole book just towards the climax, she got annoying as she was stringing everyone along by not telling the truth of everything that has happened to people in her life. Other than that, I'm glad I picked up this short read. And the spice was such a fun idea to try hehhehehohoho.
The Score by Elle Kennedy (7.3/10) This took me longer to finish it than The Deal, but it was a cute little rom-com read. I loved the main characters together but didn't have the affection I had towards them like GARRETT GRAHAMS. We loved a reformed playboy book and this was exactly it. It made me cry, but that's pretty much because of the situation I was in when reading it. I did like the MMC's way of life which is a good thing to carry into real life, but also, we can't afford to make mistakes like pretty rich boy from Connecticut. I do not like how standalones connect because the FMC was best friends with the FMC of the Deal, but I guess that is what's supposed to happen. I like how in Breaker Cane's book, the FMC was HIS best friend and slowly comes around to the other FMCs of other books. This one is like stays in the group which was eh, but I liked the vibe of this book. Also, Tim bought me the physical copy so I was reading off that hehhehhohoh. They didn't really have a bad breakup scene or anything and I felt as if it was difficult for the author to end the story if that made any sense. Overall, a cute quick read which I need.
The Sacrifice by Shantel Tessier (4.8/10) I took a chance on dark romance and absolutely hated it. I wanted to give it a 4.5, but I gave Consider Me a 4.5, and this was not on the same level. Granted, I skipped through a lot of the text because I truly didn't enjoy it, but the ending had a twist to it like a thriller/mystery that kept me going. I told Tara about how bad it was because it was too unnecessarily spicy and dark, and she recommended me to DNF, but my go-getter attitude would not let me DNF so I toughed it out. I'm glad I did because I found out the ending and the story kind of made sense at the end. I hated how much the FMC cried-- it was like a wattpad story of damsel in distress with lots of sex. Bruh.
Random Encounter by Allyson Lindt (6.5/10) I took a chance on listening to audiobooks and explored a new trope, reverse harem, which honestly I didn't even know what it meant. But this book is written by an indie author, which I loved. The idea of having multiple partners sounds fun, but also it was too much for me. I'm surprised an indie author wrote this book because it wasn't at all bad, and the idea was new-- maybe it's because it's a new idea to me, but I didn't dislike it. I found myself into it and learning new things along with the FMC. I was a bit confused at parts, and the problem causing the 3 to break up was absolutely the most childish thing to complain about, but I get it. It makes a little bit of sense, but I wish it wasn't the problem that divided the 3 because they're grown ups. Overall, I will do more audiobooks.

you... you're sick
"and if he decides to punish you in other ways, you can handle it right?"
IM SCREAMING AND RUNNING LAPS
and omg him pulling you into sunset bird so you can finally live your lives together??? yeah i'm gonna be having brain rot about this for AT LEAST a few days
LMAOO honestly same, my brain is BUZZING with, well the nsfw side of it, especially that bit I said abt multiple cove's... I mean, you need to know more than just their personalities, don't you? don't worry, just a couple more cove's and then you can rest.
he'd also reenact any moments you had together, both the ones you played and the ones your character wasn't there for. there's 15 years you need to catch up on, and now you can actually experience everything together
also throws a big wedding like almost instantly once you go thru the whole trial thing with different cove's and you get comfortable here. you'll have a very happy married life, so please don't be scared even now or then, just wants to actually be with you. you know that. right?

Polar Opposites (Christian Pulisic x Reader) - Part 2
Tumblr media
WC: 1.4K
Warnings: curse words
A/N: I honestly didn't plan on writing this second part this soon but here it is 🤭 Huge thanks to @ariddletobesolved for her help! 💗 Hope you all enjoy and I'd love to hear your thoughts thru reply/reblog/ask 🫶 If you wanna be added to the taglist let me know 😊 Feedbacks are highly appreciated!
| PART 1 | PART 3 | PART 4 |
---
Planning a party is one of your favorite things to do, but this time you couldn’t even enjoy doing so because you had to plan an engagement party with someone you pretty much despised – it was such a nightmare.  The previous day, Christian agreed to come to your place to discuss the arrangement.
“Black and white. Simple.”
“Black and white? Wha- Are we throwing them a fucking funeral? No. Pick other colors, Christian. Don’t be so basic.”
“Oh, like you have a better suggestion?”
“Umm, as a matter of fact I do. I’m thinking light blue, ivo-“
Christian gagged, “Yuck, soft colors? Too feminine, sounds horrible. Veto.”
“Sure, I forgot how “masculine” you are for a second,” you rolled your eyes, responded to his objection sarcastically, “of course “feminine” colors give you the ick.”
“Hey don’t twist my words! That’s not what I’m saying!” Christian shouted.
You and Christian spent more than 2 hours just arguing over the theme and color scheme for the party. Claire and Nick put you and Christian in charge of everything – they only informed you about the date and possible guest list – so both of you had to plan the whole thing together. You two shared the same goal: to make this party perfect for the happy couple – but had very different approaches.
- - -
“Listen... Outdoor dinner is so romantic. You can literally look at the night sky, and the lights, oh... Bet you they would love it!”
“Why outdoor when we can do it indoors? It’s sheltered, we can control the temperature inside, no bugs... Need I say more?” He argued.
- - -
“Carrot cake. Definitely carrot cake.” He suggested.
“Nooooo,” you whined, “you literally have the worst taste in everything. Disgusting!”
“What do you mean ‘disgusting’? It’s fucking delicious!”
“It is most certainly not. But Red Velvet is, so let’s just go with that.”
“Veto!”
- - -
“I think we should go with plated dinner. It’s a lot more sophisticated. And simple. An-“
“Jesus, Christian!” You interrupted him. “How is that even simple? Have you ever planned a dinner party before???”
“Okay then, please explain how the fuck could a buffet be better than plated dinner???”
“Buffet is the only right choice! What if some of the guests don’t like the food? With a buffet at least they have more options. It’s not even the wedding!” You insisted.
- - -
It was almost impossible for both of you to find a common ground. He thought your idea was too complicated and took a lot longer to plan, while you thought his was too effortless and didn’t feel special at all. You two kept pushing your ideas to each other and were too stubborn to compromise.
“Do you want to plan a party or not? Stop messing around and for fuck’s sake, just decide on something!” At this point, Christian had lost most of his patience.
“I was never messing around in the first place! Ugh,” you grunted, “I’m so close on murdering you, you pigheaded douchebag.”
“Please, Y/N, kill me now,” he replied mockingly, “I’d rather die than have to go through this shit with you.”
“That’s it, I need a fucking break,” you said as you stood up and aggressively grabbed your phone, “I’ll be back in- you know what? Why bother?”
He rolled his eyes. “Good Lord... Sure, take all the time you need,” he muttered while watching you storm out, “it’s not like we have a deadline or something.”
You left without saying a word and gave him a middle finger before you angrily slammed the door. You were like a ticking time bomb – one more word from him and you would explode. You needed a moment to cool down after an extremely stressful time. You were aware that this was going to be hard, but not this hard. You have never met someone as infuriating as Christian, he really got on your nerves – and since you and Christian had pivotal roles in your best friends’ wedding, you had no choice but stuck with him.
Usually, when you were this upset, you would call Claire to vent. She’s a really good listener, and you always feel comfortable talking about everything to her. But right now, you couldn’t do it because you didn’t want to stress her out. She picked you as her Person of Honor and you’ve accepted every responsibility that comes with the role – you really couldn’t let her down. She didn’t need to know this struggle of yours just yet.
After walking around the neighborhood for some time, you finally felt ready to go back on planning the engagement party with Christian. But shortly before, you tried to prepare yourself by closing your eyes, took three deep breaths, then whispered to yourself: Claire, I’m gonna do my best for you.
“Oh look who’s back!” As soon as you opened the front door, you heard him shout. “You have wasted, uh...” he checked his watch, “20 minutes of planning time. We could literally use those 20 minutes to decide on foods, you know.”
You pressed your lips together and shook your head, trying not to snap at him.
“My house, my rules,” you responded calmly. “20 minutes is not even that long, anyway. You’ve been here for like, what, probably 5 hours now? And still, no decision has been made.”
“And whose fault is that?”
“Our fault, you dumbass. I mean, you could’ve written down some ideas in those 20 minutes, yet you did nothing.”
He narrowed his eyes, displeased by your answer. “Gah, fine,” he groaned, “let’s get back to business.”
“Oh, and by the way, when you were out doing whatever I got bored and went through your refrigerator,” he added. “Thanks for the ice cream and the berries, they were so good.”
“Wha- Christian!” You slapped his arm, “I just bought them this morning! I expect you to reimburse those!”
After countless arguments and disagreements, you two finally came up with a solid plan. It was such a long, hard day for both of you, but at least you were able to compromise and make big decisions together. After all, this celebration was not about you – it was about Nick and Claire.
---
It was the day of the engagement party. Since 9 AM you and Christian had gone back and forth to check out the venue and make sure everything went as planned. You were nervous about this entire party, especially because you didn’t get to tell Nick and Claire since they asked you to keep the details as a surprise.
The party went great and smoothly, you were glad you didn’t have anything to worry about anymore. Everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives and the couple was very pleased with how this party turned out – from the theme and decorations, the venue, the foods and drinks, and everything else.
“Hey, Y/N,” as Christian pulled you aside, “looks like we nailed it.”
You smiled while glancing around the room. “Yeah, we really did, didn’t we?”
“Sorry I snapped at you the other day,” he apologized, “I was just really stressed out back then.”
You nodded, “yeah, I’m sorry too. I swear we’re just too different! But at least we worked well together for tonight.”
There was a moment of silence between you and Christian until Nick and Claire came and greeted you both.
“Great job you guys! This is a lot better than I expected!” Claire couldn’t stop gushing over the party.
“Thank you so much, Y/N, Christian. You threw an amazing party together! I can see how great of a team you both are,” Nick said, he was beaming the entire time.
You and Christian silently shared a look at one another, you both were very proud of how well you put this beautiful celebration despite your differences – strong differences. He then gave you a nod and a wink, and you jokingly gagged in response.
Deep down, you agreed with Nick – you really were a great team. Who would’ve thought you could get along?
“I mean… Between the two of us, I’m the one with more brain cells, so…”
And… there it is. Yes, that one sentence reminded you how Christian was still irritating - just not as bad as before. At this point, you still didn’t know Christian very well, but you knew that the moment you and him getting along was temporary. Despite that, however your feeling towards him might be, you still had to cooperate with him until the wedding is over.

The struggle these people went through 😅
“We thought of a date that was as far ahead as possible, that fell on the eve of a holiday, because we had many guests from other states, so we wanted it to be on a holiday so that they could travel and be calm. And also because it was cheaper to get married on a Sunday.”
Originally, the race was to take place one week earlier, on November 7. However, at the end of August, the category organizers postponed the race by one week. There was no time to change the wedding date. The solution: to have the ceremony on the day of the race "anyway".
Tumblr media
"We were really sad and we were planning to go (to the GP on the 7th), but we were worried about the pandemic. We didn't know how it was going to be. We were very sad, our friends were also upset. But there wasn't much we could do, we couldn't postpone the wedding", said the bride.
The couple wanted to find a way to watch the race, but nobody remembered to ask the person in charge of the ceremony for a TV. Worse: Beatriz was even left without her cell phone, since the device was used to transmit the engagement live on the networks for the guests who could not attend.
The honeymoon will take place in 2022, at next season's São Paulo Grand Prix. "We're going to have our wedding next year," she said.

Yumi's Cells 2 spoilers ahead - it's just me blurting out about the last episode.
Call me a Babi simp, apologist, do not care, but honestly I keep falling for him.
The whole not telling Yumi he was at the hospital was terrible. Genuinely, WTF.
Yet again, Yumi's problem is un-comunication with her boyfriends.
In general I would say, because that is sort of what I miss in her love life. We see Yumi going on dates, doing cute things together but do they actually talk? with Wung, with Babi.
For instance, we viewers know why Babi even remotely being effected by another woman is for Yumi a hard no. Even before he had a chance to talk, she was ready with her luggage done, not waiting for him, with her mind already sorted. This is massively problematic on Yumi's side, but we forgive and understand her because we know the trauma behind her ex cheating on her. Does Babi? as she ever mentioned that?
And again, not communicating with your significant other brings Babi to lie to Yumi because he is exasperated at the idea that she is regretting getting back together (and that is, I fear, true. Despite what she said). I blame both of them. Babi most of all (he did lie), but the authors over everything because, Wung omitting his financial situation and ultimately his pride was also the reasons he and Yumi didn't work. Can't they just talk?
Babi got so exasperated at proving Yumi how much he loves her that now he wants to merry her.
And this will inevitably end horribly because she is in no place whatsoever for wedding Babi. They need to talk first.
What got me, it's that Babi is aware that Wung knows why he and Yumi broke She doesn't woo easily, unlike someone else
Damn, that was mean. But also, if I were Bai I would question a lot why Wung knows this, despite Yumi's claim that he only met Wung by chance. Again, we as viewers know it was Control Z, but Babi? he does what Yumi could't do with him. He trusts her.
And this relationship is so painfully unbalanced. And while Babi is starting to be portrayed as a liar and an almost cheater, I don't think that's fair. At all.
This show clearly doesn't like Babi (I love you Babi), and they want us to go thru another painful breakup. why. why. it's all so painfully obvious.

a bunch of things i liked in Venom 2 (spoilers)
from the very beginning cletus and frances were romantic and their separation was so heart-wrenching how did they manage to do that in like two minutes???
idk why but the opening music sounded very saturday morning cartooney
the chickens are best friends and venom refuses to eat them
cletus’ postcard to eddie and the animation and the framing almost like he’s in the room telling him the story the whole time my brain is going “yaaaaaaaaaaa”
the buildup and reveal of carnage has gotta be one of the best scenes of the year it’s just so good.
cletus’ post-escape drip, boy he look noice
yeah it’s convenient he found the exact car but the point is he remembered her favorite after nearly 30 years
venom getting some time away from eddie and making friends at the party
ann admitting she kinda likes having the symbiote powers
sweet, sweet dan
CHURCH FIGHT! CHURCH FIGHT! *gets closer look at it* ABANDONED HALF-FINISHED CHURCH FIGHT!
Frances’ post-escape drip as well as her wedding dress.
Her being the only one capable of incapacitating carnage but also her and cletus being deeply in love and idk there’s just something about romances where person A is the key to person B’s destruction
That guitar at the beginning of the climactic battle
Dan and his fire and sound! (w/o the sound)
“Father.” “Oh shit.”
That “CARNAGE” roar rocked thru my body and it was awesome
Venom relay through Dan, Ann, then Eddie
They had one fuck and they used it wisely
Venom got to put his toes in the sand
The whole post credits scene. I loved it. Can’t wait to see what comes next

Soulmate Tattoos–Zac Efron
Tumblr media
Your Soulmate Tattoo is your soulmate's first words to you. For girls, their tattoo is on the underside of their left wrist. For boys, their tattoo is on the underside of their right wrist. The year before you meet your soulmate, your tattoo begins to appear. There is no ink, no colors, and no words. Instead, there is a red splotch where the tattoo will appear on the exact day the following year.
The month that you are going to meet your soulmate, your red splotch becomes more defined. It begins to softly outline the edges. Seven days before you meet them, the words slowly start to form. The day before you meet your soulmate, the words finally appear in brown. That brown doesn't change to black until you're standing right in front of your soulmate and they have spoken the words to you.
My tattoo didn't start to appear until the summer after my third year of teaching. The minute the red splotch appeared, I couldn't stop glancing at it. That next year was horrible. I made note of the day, hoping it would help with the nerves, but it only made them worse.
When it got to the week I would meet him, I constantly rubbed the outline of my tattoo. And the second the words appeared on my arm the day before, I memorized them.
I'm so sorry, beautiful. I hope I didn't spill my coffee on you and ruin your nice dress.
I bit my lip when I first read his words. I couldn't help but start to imagine what he might be like. I spent the entire day thinking about him and our first interaction.
He's going to call me beautiful. He's going to spill or almost spill his coffee on me at a coffee shop. And I'm wearing a dress.
I woke up that morning, fighting the urge to go to the coffee shop right away. They don't tell us what time we meet our soulmate. I didn't want to sit in a coffee shop all day, waiting for him to show up. But I didn't want to miss him either.
Instead of overthinking this, I got ready at my normal pace. I took my shower, got dressed (making sure to wear my favorite sundress), curled my hair, and did a little more makeup than I normally wear.
There were positives and negatives to knowing the day you meet your soulmate. You can make sure you look nice, but it also leads to a lot of overthinking and anxiety.
I headed to the coffee shop, my hands shaking as I walked in. I got in line, nervously playing with my dress as I waited.
I gasped when I felt the burning. I looked down to see my tattoo changing color. My heart started beating really fast when I noticed the color was turning darker. Which means. . .
I was brought away from my tattoo when the guy who was in front of me turned around and bumped into me.
"I'm so sorry, beautiful," the guy said, his voice light and soft. "I hope I didn't spill my coffee on you and ruin your nice dress."
I could hear my blood pumping when I noticed the words this man just said were the words I'd spent the last 24 hours staring at. I looked up, my eyes widening when I saw who said the words on my arm.
This can't be right. There is no way this is my soulmate. I'm a high school history teacher. And he's. . .
My soulmate cannot be Zac Efron.
"It's alright," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "No harm, no foul."
Suddenly, he sucked in a breath. He slowly looked down at his wrist and let out a small chuckle. He looked up at me, his eyes filling with tears.
When his eyes drifted down to my left wrist, I rolled it so he could see it. He laughed and reached over, grabbing my left hand in his as he read the words on my wrist. I bit my lip when he intertwined our fingers, slowly looking up at me. I glanced down at our hands, our tattoos almost touching.
"Can I buy you some coffee?" He asked, his voice low. I hesitated, a small part of me thinking this was a weird twisted joke.
"I guess we should," I whispered.
Without letting go of my hand, Zac led me to the counter. I ordered my usual latte, my whole arm burning from his touch. I went to pay for my drink, but Zac paid for it before I could even get my wallet out of my bag.
Zac led me over to a booth in the corner, our hands never disconnecting. He politely waited for me to sit down first before taking a seat across from me, finally letting go of my hand.
All I could think was; no way. There is no way that Zac Efron is my soulmate. And how is he so relaxed about meeting his soulmate who is a complete stranger?
"So, we're soulmates," he said, laughing awkwardly.
"We are," I nodded. I cleared my throat as I wrapped my hands around my latte.
"This is kinda awkward," he chuckled. I looked up at him to see him smiling at me.
"I don't understand how people expect us to be so relaxed right now," I sighed. "You and I are complete strangers and because of a tattoo, we're soulmates."
"Well," he said, reaching over and grabbed my hands. "It's not like we're expected to run to the nearest church and get married."
I laughed, finally starting to relax. "I mean, we could always go to Vegas. I hear their drive-thru weddings can be quite beautiful."
Zac laughed, both of us relaxing. He let go of my hands and leaned back. When we stopped laughing, he was still smiling at me.
"I'm Zac," he introduced himself.
"I know," I awkwardly giggled. I felt my cheeks burning as I cleared my throat.
"Right," he smirked. "Do I get to know your name, Soulmate?"
"I don't know," I teased. "I kinda like being called, Soulmate."
He sent me a playful pout before breaking. I bit my bottom lip, my nerves resurfacing.
"Y/N," I finally told him.
"Y/N," he repeated. "Not as pretty as Soulmate, but I'll take it."
We both laughed as I playfully pulled my hands out of his. My breath got caught in my throat when the look on his face changed.
"My beautiful Y/N," he said, his voice so low it gave me chills. "Tell me about yourself."
I let out an embarrassed giggle as he leaned his elbows on the table, physically making himself look interested.
"Well," I said, nervously tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. "I was born and raised in Burbank. I moved to LA to go to UCLA and I ended up getting a job at my old high school."
"You're a teacher?" He asked, perking up. I giggled at his excitement.
"Yeah," I said, tucking that same piece of hair behind my ear again. "I teach AP U.S. History."
"AP? Damn!" He laughed. "That's like the top class!"
"Kinda," I giggled.
He cleared his throat, slightly shaking his head. "So, what grades do you teach?"
"Mostly seniors," I smiled. "But I also teach a few freshman classes."
"You get them as they come in and come out."
I tilted my head, biting back a laugh when his eyes widened like he just realized what he said.
"That came out. . . So wrong," he said slowly.
"It's okay," I chuckled.
                                * * * * *
We spent the next fifteen minutes, talking about ourselves. The more of his life I heard, the more I realized we had nothing in common.
"You alright?" Zac asked after I suddenly went quiet.
"This can't be right," I said under my breath.
"Why not?" He asked, laughing slightly.
"It's just. . . You're the famous Zac Efron. I'm just a high school teacher."
I held my breath when he reached over and gently grabbed my hand, lifting my arm and turning it over to show my left wrist. He smirked as he slowly ran his thumb over my tattoo.
"See?" He said, dropping his voice. "Soulmate tattoos don't lie."
"Your soulmate should be another famous actress or a model," I stuttered. "Not a high school teacher who's been mistaken as one of her students. I mean, what are your fans going to say? Honestly, my students would lose it if they find out my soulmate is Zac Efron, but your fans might not be as excited."
Zac chuckled as he stood up and walked over to my side of the booth, sitting next to me. I sucked in a breath as he reached up and cupped my cheek. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. I held in a moan as I kissed him back. Zac slowly pulled away and leaned his forehead against mine.
"As far as I'm concerned," he whispered, "you're just the girl for me, Soulmate."

TAKING FLIGHT
Complete
Summary: Kagome has been struggling with her disability most of her life but she's never felt anything but normal with Inuyasha always steadily by her side. But when her neurologist approaches her with the chance to recover full use of her leg, she takes it.
A childhood friends to lovers, soulmates AU
Read on AO3 or Below the Cut
Inuyasha was already awake and drinking a cup of strong black coffee when his father arrived. Touga chuckled at the sight of Kouga sleeping on the floor, curled into a ball with his tail wrapped around his waist. Miroku was still obviously unconscious on the couch, lying face down, with mouth open and drool slowly pooling below.
“You boys had a nice evening then I take it?” Touga asked him as he poured himself some coffee into a mug.
Inuyasha laughed slightly. “Sure. You could say that. We all got drunk, well Miroku got absolutely pissed, and then Kouga tried to fight me.”
Touga raised a brow at that. “For the fun of it or for a specific reason?”
“Cause he still wants Kagome. Told me that if he could beat me that he would be the one to marry Kagome today.”
“I take it that went...well? The furniture all seems to be intact.”
“Oh I was all for the fight, then I just said no and went to bed.” Inuyasha set his now empty mug in the sink before heading back to the living room. “I’m sober and my hangover is almost gone so I imagine Kouga is fine and just sleeping in, lazy bastard. Miroku will be feeling like crap if he’s even sober by now.”
Inuyasha knelt by the couch and gave Miroku a shake. “Miroku, buddy.” Inuyasha shook him again when there was no response. “Miroku, time to wake up.”
Miroku groaned, rolling onto his back “Go way.” He muttered.
“Well you can wake up now and have some coffee and we can hit a drive thru for some greasy food for you and you can still stand by me today as my best man or I’ll ask my dad to stand in your stead. Which would you prefer?”
Miroku’s eyes fluttered open. “There was no option in there for you to kill me so I’m on the fence.”
Inuyasha rolled his eyes, rising. “Kouga. Wake up, either come with us or go home. You’re not staying here.”
Kouga flipped Inuyasha the bird from his place on the floor, but still opened his eyes and ran a hand over his face. Groaning, he sat up. With a heavy sigh he stood before making his way towards the bathroom. “I’m coming, wouldn’t want to disappoint Kagome by not having her favorite youkai in attendance.”
Inuyasha let out a warning growl just before Kouga slammed the door closed.
“You guys aren’t friends right?” Touga questioned as he handed a fresh mug of coffee over to the now sitting Miroku.
“Nope, I put up with his existence because Kagome has a soft spot for sad lonely wolves.”
“I heard that!” Kouga yelled through the door just before the sound of the toilet flushing came through.
“Good.” Inuyasha called to him. “I’m gonna go grab some socks and mine and Kagome’s luggage. We can head out after Miroku finishes his coffee.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Inuyasha sat in the passenger seat, munching on a hashbrown as his father drove and Miroku and Kouga sat in the back, both chowing down on breakfast sandwiches from the drive thru.
“Did you have to go home first?” Inuyasha asked his father as he sipped coffee from his paper cup.
“No, we are stopping by the Higurashi’s; Kagome left her overnight bag there and your mother texted me and asked me to grab something she left there as well.”
Inuyasha nodded, looking out the window and watching the scenery pass by. He thought that he would be feeling nervous by now but found that he was more antsy and anticipatory for the whole event to begin.
When the car pulled into the short drive and came to a stop, both Inuyasha and Touga climbed out and made their way to the house. Inuyasha used his key to let them inside, he proceeded towards Kagome’s old room while his father went towards the kitchen. He immediately noticed Kagome’s bag, resting on the computer chair in front of the desk. He glanced around the room and peeked into the bathroom to make sure she hadn’t left anything else lying about. After snagging her hairbrush off the bathroom counter and tossing it into her bag, he noticed that one of his shirts was tucked underneath her favorite pajama bottoms.
Inuyasha pulled the shirt free, bringing it to his nose he inhaled deeply, the sweet scent of Kagome was strong on the fabric but there was a hint of his own as well. The combination of the two scents had Inuyasha’s youkai ‘purring’ as Kagome liked to put it. Upon the realization that she must have worn it to bed during their night apart, he clutched the shirt to his chest and bowed his head over it. While he wished that she didn’t have to deal with having such a hard time being apart, Inuyasha was slightly ashamed to admit that he was also glad that he wasn’t alone in the feelings. Bringing the shirt back to his nose he took one final whiff before tucking the shirt back into the bag and zipping it closed.
Bag slung over his shoulder, he met his father by the front door.
“Dad, can I ask you something?”
“You know you can.”
“How did you and mom do this? Stay a night apart, I mean. I feel it shouldn’t be this...difficult to sleep away from Kagome for one night. I mean, we are apart for a majority of the day during work.”
“Well, mainly, your mother and I were already bonded before we got married, so that helped. It still wasn’t easy, trying to sleep when your mate isn’t there is extremely challenging. Being full youkai, I don’t think I could’ve handled sleeping apart at your mother’s request if we hadn’t been bonded already. But you made it through and it should get easier here soon, just knowing your mate is in the same vicinity as you, surrounded by family. And just keep in mind that by this time tomorrow you will be a husband, mate, and soul bonded, and your mother and I couldn’t be more proud.” Touga clasped Inuyasha tightly on the shoulder, squeezing lightly in affection.
Inuyasha gave an almost shy smile. “Thanks dad.”
The pair shared a brief tight hug before heading out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Inuyasha finished buttoning up his dress shirt before reaching for the cufflinks that his father had worn on his wedding day. He turned as he slipped the first one into place, taking in the sight of Miroku sitting on the sofa in the ‘man cave’ as the venue called it. He was nursing another bottle of water, head resting on his open palm.
“So, care to tell me what all the excessive drinking was about last night?”
Miroku rotated his head slightly in the semblance of a head shake. “I… had a date with Sango last week and I fucked it up.”
“How did you manage to fuck it up, haven’t you two been going on dates for months? Haven’t you already had sex?”
“Yes. I did something really stupid, panicked and ran out of there; leaving her with the bill and all alone in the middle of the restaurant. And I haven’t responded to any of her calls or texts and I just don’t want to face her today.”
“What did you do?” Inuyasha chuckled, straightening his sleeves after pinning the second cufflink into place.
“Don’t want to talk about it.”
Inuyasha rolled his eyes. “I’m sure it’ll be ok, you guys have been doing this dance since junior year. Off and on, someone always says something to screw things up, you guys fight or don’t speak. Then one of you apologizes to the other, or you guys get drunk and make up.”
As Miroku opened his mouth to reply, the door to the room creaked open, and Izayoi’s bright smiling face appeared.
“How’s it coming in here, boys?”
“We’re great, mom. You can come in.”
She slipped into the room, letting the door snik shut behind her. Her eyes quickly took in the room, scanning everything before settling on Miroku.
Inuyasha looked over his mother as she studied Miroku for a moment. She wore a floor length midnight blue sheath dress that Inuyasha knew perfectly matched the markings that graced his father’s cheeks. The bodice had a layer of flowery lace in the same shade, cinched at the waist before flowing to the floor in a shimmer of satin.
“Miroku, dear. Would you mind helping Touga outside for a few minutes, please?”
Miroku’s brows met his hairline for a moment as he looked back and forth between Inuyasha and Izayoi.
“Ummm, yeah, sure.”
“Thank you, dear.” Izayoi gave him a sweet smile as she watched him go.
Inuyasha turned back to the floor length mirror, picking up his pale golden tie from the side table. Looping it around his neck, he watched his movements in the mirror as he began tying the Windsor knot. He was halfway finished when his large hands were cupped by smaller delicate ones.
Izayoi took the tie into her hands and resumed Inuyasha’s work as his hands dropped to his sides.
“Kagome looks lovely.”
Inuyasha gave her one of his rare genuine smiles. “She’s always lovely.”
“Transcendent then.” Izayoi stuck her tongue out at him before giggling and folding down his collar, adjusting his tie into place.
Izayoi stretched up to her toes and placed a kiss on his cheek. Dropping back onto her heels she made her way over and sat on the sofa Miroku had vacated. Waving him over she pointed to the floor in front of her.
“Sit.”
Inuyasha stopped in front of her. “Sit on the floor? But I’ll wrinkle my pants.”
She rolled her eyes and smiled. “They’ll be fine for a few minutes, sit please.”
He sat on the floor between her legs, crossing his legs and instantly relaxing. He had always found sitting on the ground, comforting.
Izayoi picked up the hairbrush that was resting on the side table and began to brush Inuyasha’s hair in gentle, slow strokes.
“I remember,” she said softly, “doing this when you were a little boy. You were always so excited for it. You’d come running to me with the brush and you would instantly climb into my lap when I would sit down. Oh, how it used to lull you to sleep, you would slowly start to slump over more and more until you fell asleep right there in my arms. I would just rock you in your sleep until your father came and scooped you up and carried you to bed.”
Inuyasha smiled fondly at the memory, eyes drifting closed as the sense of peace came over him. “You used to hum too.” He murmured.
She hummed her acknowledgement before beginning to hum a soft lullaby under her breath. When the song was finished she leaned forward and planted a kiss to the back of his head, setting the brush down on the cushion beside her.
“I love you, mom.”
She ran her fingers through his hair. “I love you too. You know, you have been and always will be my little boy; but you’ve belonged to Kagome just as long. Your father and I are so happy that this day is here and we are so proud of the man you’ve become. You’ve always done whatever you can to take care of and provide for Kagome, and those are amazing things to receive from a mate.” She kissed him again before rising.
Inuyasha stood and turned towards her, quickly moving to wipe her cheeks when he spotted the dampness there.
Izayoi smiled tenderly at him. “Today is a joyous day. One of the happiest days of my life was marrying your father, tied with the actual mating, and having you of course.” She lovingly stroked his cheek. “Now. Let’s get you in your jacket and outside.”
Inuyasha nodded slightly as he pulled her into his arms, tucking her under his chin and holding her tightly. He held her for several long moments before he released her.
“Ok. I’m ready, let’s do this.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Kagome had been pampered, massaged, prodded and poked all morning and she was ready to be done. While the beginnings of the day had felt great, she was ready for the hair pulling, fidgeting, pins poking her head, and the fussing to be over with. All she wanted was to walk down the aisle and tell Inuyasha how much he meant to her and then be whisked away as husband and wife and spend the night in his arms.
She missed him something fierce, and she felt like she was starting to itch under her skin. She couldn’t quite figure out if that was the bond making her extra antsy and on edge being away from him or if it was just in her head. She could only imagine how Inuyasha was feeling about the separation since he had always felt the effects of the bond much more strongly than she had.
“Your hair turned out so beautifully.” Her mother stood directly behind her, stroking a gentle hand across her shoulder.
Kagome noticed Sango, her friend since freshman year of college, and Ayame, her good friend she was a new start with at work, standing behind her mother in the mirror she was sitting in front of, both nodding their agreement. She hoped to introduce Ayame and Kouga later at the reception, she had a feeling that they would get along and she hoped that they would hit it off pretty well. She had always felt a little guilty that Kouga still carried a torch for her even after finding out that she was Inuyasha’s mate.
Turning her attention back to the mirror, she turned her head back and forth, taking in her seemingly simpler hairstyle that had cost more than she had been willing to pay. A relaxed french braid started at either temple, forming a crown of sorts around her head and met together in the back to form a low messy bun. Loose tendrils fell from her bun and more were deliberately left out framing her face with slightly wavy strands. A simple gold leaf and pearl hair vine comb was pinned up against the side of her bun. She really did love it but still felt that the style could’ve been achieved without paying the amount that they had but her mothers had insisted that a wedding day was a day to splurge for the finer things, like having someone else to do your hair and makeup. Kagome was happy to have talked them out of insisting that she hire a makeup artist as well, pleading with them that her friends had asked and wanted to participate by being the ones to do her makeup. They had done a great job, her skin looked smooth, and she was shining in all the right places, her eye makeup was noticeable with the winged eyeliner and the shimmering gold shadow but it was all light enough to still look closer to a natural style.
“Alright, let’s get you into your dress.” Izayoi came over carrying a shoe box that she set on the vanity.
Twenty minutes and eight overly helpful hands later, Kagome was finally tucked into her dress. Izayoi and Sango guided her over to her chair and helped her sit, rucking up her dress as her mother and Ayame knelt on the floor, each bearing a shoe.
“Guys.” Kagome protested. “I can put my own shoes on.”
“Don’t be silly, darling.” Izayoi spoke by her side. “It’s hard to reach your own feet in a wedding dress, besides we enjoy helping.”
Kagome held back any further comments as each of her feet were worked into her crochet lace pointy toed flats with a sheer organza lace up ribbon. Although she was able to walk without her crutch now and almost always had a smooth gait when she walked, she wasn’t able to get much practice in with heels and had decided that it would be safer to wear flat shoes. But that hadn’t stopped her from taking Sango and trying to find the prettiest flats she could, and she thought the ballerina lace up shoes were to die for. After they finished criss-crossing and wrapping the ribbon around her leg and tying it into a neat little bow at the back of her calf, both Ayame and her mother stood.
“There.” Her mother beamed. “Now, let me grab my phone before you get your first look in the mirror.”
All four of her helpers reached for their phones at once. There were no blinding flashes throughout the day so far, no intruding presence, the photographer they had hired had been snapping photos throughout the process, occasionally disappearing to where Kagome could only guess was the ‘man cave’ where the boys were getting ready. Even though the photographer, Lacy, Kagome thought her name was, had been amazingly silent and unobtrusive, everyone else was still insistent on taking photos on their phones.
Kagome had been avoiding her own phone for most of the day, fighting the urge to text Inuyasha. But she came to the conclusion that having some hand taken photos and selfies of her wedding day would be a nice addition as well. Rising, she made her way to the vanity, careful not to look into the mirror. Pulling her phone out of her bag, she opened up the camera and turned to snap a few photos of everyone else digging their phones out of their bags, except Sango who was explaining some app she had to Kagome’s mother.
“Ready? Will someone take some photos with my phone too?” Kagome unlocked her screen, her lip quivering slightly at the sight of Inuyasha’s grinning face gracing her wallpaper.
“Yeah I got it, Kagome.” Ayame said as she came up beside her and gently took the phone from her hands, patting her softly on the shoulder. “You’ll see him soon, he’s fine and you’re doing great.”
“Thanks.” Kagome murmured as she sniffled before turning away.
Shaking herself out of her momentary lapse she slowly made her way over to the floor length mirror in the corner. She gasped when she saw herself. She had loved the dress when she saw it in the catalog but she was amazed that it looked as great as it had before. Knowing she was being ridiculous since she had seen herself during her fitting, this felt different, more final.
The intricately embellished bold lace bust delicately embroidered with sequins had a deep v-shaped neckline showing off just the right amount of cleavage. The bust flowed into a voluminous silk chiffon circle skirt, ending as it graced the floor. Turning slightly she caught sight of the low open back that ended with a small silken bow. Smiling, she turned to face the mirror again, reaching up to finger the delicate hand-beaded shoulder detailing with strings of thin spider-silk-like beaded strands dangling off her shoulder in drooping half circles.
Kagome was vaguely aware of exclaimed praises and comments about capturing good photos but it was all background noise. She shook herself from her daze and turned back to face the group, the sooner she was done fawning over herself the sooner she could walk down the aisle. They snapped a few more photos before taking turns taking selfies with her then gathering for group photos. They asked the photographer to also take photos with all their phones of the small group of women.
Kagome’s mother pulled her aside and hugged her, stroking a tender hand across her shoulder.
“I wish your father was here to see how beautiful and happy you are. I know he’d be so proud of the woman you’ve become.”
Tears filled Kagome’s eyes, her gut clenching as it always did when she remembered the accident that took her father from her.
“Thanks mom, I love you.”
“I love you too, sweetheart.” She pulled her into another brief tight hug as Izayoi stepped up beside them.
“I’m going to go check on the boys and make sure Inuyasha is ready and get him out there. Take a few minutes to yourself, your mother and Sango will wait for you outside the door.”
Kagome nodded, giving her soon to be mother in law a hug. As the door closed behind the group Kagome let out a sigh of relief at finally being alone for the first time that day. She gathered up the couple items of hers that were strewn about the room and piled them into her bag; sneaking at glance at Inuyasha’s photo on her phone before tucking that too away and zipping the bag closed. Her mother had mentioned coming back to the room after the ceremony to grab her bag for her so Kagome wanted to make it as easy as possible on her.
Walking over to the vanity she sat, taking a few calming breaths. When she stood again she felt her weak leg give a little tremble. Sighing, she went back to her bag and extracted her brace. Sitting down she hastily pulled her skirt up and with difficulty managed to get her shoed foot through the brace and pulled up into place. After a stern glare at the brace, she stood, smoothing her skirt back into place. She gave one last glance into the floor length mirror before making her way to the door.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Inuyasha escorted his mother down the aisle, a symbol to their guests that it was time to find their seats as the ceremony would be beginning shortly. Kagome and Inuyasha had opted to not have a long drawn out intro to the ceremony, not wanting to wait what would feel like forever as bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle. So Sango and Miroku were already in place at the end of the aisle, standing to either side, ready to support and be witness to the union of their friends. In truth, Inuyasha hadn’t wanted anything to draw attention away from Kagome being presented and walking down the aisle.
Inuyasha studied the trees that they had picked to get married under. They were beautiful, far reaching weeping willows, standing slightly apart. Leaving the perfect amount of space for the couple to stand together in front of everyone and declare their love for each other. Kagome and both of their mothers had come out the day before and helped the venue string up fairy lights all along the tree branches. Allowing some to hang down from the branches towards the ground. The effect was almost magical as the sun began to set and the light a little lower, drawing more attention to the lit tree.
As Inuyasha reached the end of the aisle with his mother he stopped. Izayoi withdrew her arm from his before stretching up and placing a kiss on his cheek. She gave him a tender smile before moving to take the empty seat beside his father.
Moving to take his place beside Miroku, Inuyasha clasped his hands tightly together in front of him. His nerves spiked as his senses were suddenly overwhelmed, finally feeling Kagome’s presence nearby again.
Oh, how he had missed it, the feel of her gentle, loving presence brushing up against his. Her smiling face, her love filled eyes as she looked at him with adoration. He was hard pressed to believe that they had only spent a night apart, it felt like it had been days, weeks, years even. His yearning for her had grown so strong that when she stepped out from the tent flap beside her mother all breath and coherent thought left him.
She was the most divine creature he had ever laid eyes on. He glanced over her. Yes, the dress was beautiful and her hair was nice but he was more interested in her face. The brightness in her face and the smile that showed her absolute happiness of the moment. It spread to him, her joy, and he felt it reach him deep down into his soul, soothing his youkai.
He noticed the tightening of her hand wrapped around her bouquet, the catch in her breath and the speed of her already rapidly beating heart kick up a notch when she glanced up and met his eye. Hers a warm chocolate from a distance but he knew them intimately. Knew that they held many shades, shades of whiskey and a crystallized honey. Eyes focus solely on him, the bright gleam in her eyes only for him. Eyes that saw everything of him, that pierced through any gruffiness he might have had at the world and saw straight through to him.
When Kagome and her mother reached him, he stepped forward, placing a kiss on her mother’s cheek before taking Kagome’s hand and leading her the rest of the way to the front. As they stopped in front of Totosai, his father’s long time friend, they turned to face each other. Kagome, still smiling and Inuyasha suspected that he had a goofy grin planted on his face.
Totosai spoke a few words of welcome to their guests, speaking the meaning of marriage and how happy he was that Kagome and Inuyasha were coming together; but Inuyasha didn’t hear the words, all his attention on Kagome. Inuyasha’s mind finally registered the words that were being spoken when Totosai spoke again.
“Kagome and Inuyasha have asked to incorporate a handfasting into their ceremony. And have asked that Inuyasha’s father, Touga, step forward and honor them in officiating the ritual.”
Inuyasha’s attention was drawn away from Kagome for the first time since she had appeared from underneath the tent to walk down the aisle. He glanced over at his father, who was rising from his seat amongst the front row, surprise clearly written on his face as he straightened his coat. Kagome and himself had decided not to mention including the handfasting into their ceremony to anyone other than Totosai, wanting it to be a surprise and a gift for his father.
Handfasting was an old tradition, something developed not from their heritage but was adopted early on in youkai society as an additional symbol of a soul bonded match. It was considered a great honor among youkai to be chosen by a bonded couple to perform the ritual.
As Touga walked around the couple, Totosai pulled him aside. They talked in hushed murmurs for a few moments before separating and Totosai stepped off to the side, standing near Miroku, with a smile on his face. Touga took his place behind the couple, facing them and the gathering, holding three satin cords in one clawed hand.
Though he had to clear his throat before beginning, Touga spoke loudly and clearly. “Though not originating from the youkai, handfasting was quickly developed into mating and marriage ceremonies as a perfect outward display of a soul bond. It is considered extremely fortuitous and rare to find your soulmate as well as a blessing to witness the joining. I am beyond honored to stand before you all as I guide my son and my new daughter into their union.”
Turning his attention back to the couple, Touga spoke to them. “If you would join right hands, please.”
Kagome turned, handing off her bouquet to Sango before turning back to Inuyasha and offering up her right hand. Inuyasha gently clasped it with his own, his eyes roving her face, taking in every detail.
“With full awareness, know that before this gathering of witnesses you are not only declaring your intent to be bound before your friends and family, but also by joining hands you are representing your willingness in the union, if one of you is unwilling to be bound to the other, please now lower your hand.”
Inuyasha and Kagome both held on tighter, staring into each other’s eyes as they spoke together. “We are both aware and willing.”
Inuyasha turned his attention to their clasped hands as Touga laid one of the satin cords, in a vibrant shade of forest green, across Inuyasha’s wrist. “This cord represents Kagome’s commitment and acceptance of Inuyasha in the union. Kagome, would you like to say a few words to Inuyasha?”
Kagome glanced at Touga, nodding slightly before turning and looking into the pools of melted honey that were Inuyasha’s eyes. “Inuyasha, we’ve been best friends for twenty-one years and you’ve been the love of my life for a dozen of those. That night when we were eight and you convinced me to sneak out of my house to watch the meteor storm with you, we both made a wish. And I think it’s finally time to share my wish with you; I wished for us to be able to stay together forever. My wish is coming true and that makes me the happiest-” The emotions clogged her throat and she covered her mouth with her free hand for a moment as she took a ragged breath. When Inuyasha squeezed her hand in support and encouragement she cleared her throat and looked back up to him with tear filled eyes. “The happiest person in the world. Inuyasha, I promise to always love and respect you. To support you and cherish you. And I promise to try to be everything to you that you have always been to me.”
Kagome looked to the side as Sango stepped up beside her, offering up Inuyasha’s ring on the palm of her hand. It hadn’t been hard to figure out a way to mix the traditional handfasting with the modern wedding ceremony. Taking the ring in her left hand, she turned back to Inuyasha as he offered his left to her underneath their clasped hands. As she slid the cool platinum band onto his finger he kept his gaze on her face, and when her watery eyes flicked back up and meet his, he mouthed ‘I love you,’ and she beamed, the motion spilling her tears out of the corners of her eyes to track down her cheeks.
Touga laid the crimson satin cord across Kagome’s wrist. “This cord represents Inuyasha’s commitment and acceptance of Kagome in the union. Inuyasha, a few words?”
Inuyasha took in a deep breath, he had written vows but they seemed a cheap imitation to what he knew his heart wanted to say. The breath he had been holding came out shakily as he slowly released it. He had so much he wanted to say and he was afraid he’d say it wrong. She had said such wonderful things that caused a warmth to bloom in his chest and he was the one that always fumbled for the right thing to say when it mattered most.
But he knew. He knew.
That no matter what he said in this moment, Kagome would know. She would know what he was trying to say, what he wanted to convey, what was in his heart. She always knew, she always understood, she knew him better than he knew himself.
“Kagome, you have been my entire focus and ever present constant since I looked out the window twenty years ago and saw a little girl fierce in her determination to make it from the car to the house on her own. I think even then I knew, I sensed something within me reaching out to you, urging me to befriend you, protect you, love you. I’m happy with the man I’ve become and that’s all because of you; because of your gentle hand and your guiding words. The strength and kindness of your heart never ceases to amaze me. I strive to be as good to you as you have always been to me. I promise to be your guiding light in the darkness, a warming comfort in the cold, and a shoulder to lean on when life is too much to bare on your own.”
Inuyasha looked down as a hand appeared at his side, Kagome’s delicate rose gold band lay on Miroku’s open hand. Inuyasha plucked the ring off his friend’s palm, mindful of his claws. When he turned back to Kagome she had more tears on her cheeks but her smile was dazzling, warm, accepting, and happy. Her offered left hand was already waiting for him, as he slid the ring onto her finger, he felt the youkai within him sturing. The need to throw her over his shoulder and carry her away from prying eyes and finally claim her as his mate washed through him with such force that he had a hard time resisting. But when his father began speaking again, he tried to tamp down even harder on the urge, knowing that later that night, Kagome would be his in every way possible.
“This cord represents their union, the joining of not only Inuyasha and Kagome but of each side’s family coming together.” Touga draped the gold cord across the top of their joined hands before moving both the other cords up to rest alongside it. “Today on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other forever, you are holding the hand of your best friend. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you built your future.”
He spoke as he held one side of the strands steady in one hand and began to wrap the other side around it. “These are the hands that will love you and cherish you through the years. These are the hands that will celebrate with you when you feel happy and comfort you when you feel sad.” He tucked one side under the other, pulling to form the knot on top of their clasped hands. One end of the cords dangling down on each side of their hands. “These are the hands that will give you strength and support whenever you need it. As your hands are joined together now, so your hearts will always be.”
Inuyasha and Kagome each took hold of one of the ends of cords, making sure to maintain eye contact. Slowly, they slid their clasped hands along each other’s as they separated them, pulling on the cord ends at the same time. When their hands fell free, the cords came together, forming a tight infinity knot.
Totosai stepped up beside Touga. “By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife.”
Using the cord as leverage, Inuyasha wasted no time in yanking it, pulling Kagome towards him, wrapping his free arm around her waist and crushing her to him. Still maintaining his hold on their cord he pressed his lips to hers. He’d kissed her countless times before, but the tingle of blissful tranquility that flowed through him felt new in a way he could not describe. He moaned slightly at the feeling, deepening the kiss. Stroking his tongue across her lower lip before dipping it inside her parted lips.
Only when he let out a low possessive growl did he remember the crowd; pulling away just enough so their lips were still touching.
“I love you.” He whispered against her lips.
“I love you, too.”
It was only then that he heard the crowd, they were all cheering and clapping, some rising from their seats. Inuyasha took Kagome’s end of the cords from her, turning and handing the knot over to his father.
“Guard this for us till later?”
Touga nodded, accepting the duty.
With a large grin Inuyasha tucked Kagome’s arm in the crook of his elbow, beginning to lead her away from their position at the front and down the aisle. His eyes were fixed on his luminous mate even as she watched the crowd, a shy but ecstatic smile on her face. There were a few clicks and flashes of cameras going off but Inuyasha’s attention never wavered. Flower petals rained down upon them, creating a lovely effect but other than causing Inuyasha to blink more often as sone petals hit his face, he never looked away.
When they reached the end of the aisle, he scooped Kagome up into his arms and quickly dashed off, looking for a place where they could extract a couple of quiet moments to themselves and bask in the joy they were feeling.
