i refuse to stay around people who use their anxiety to bully and kick other marginalized folks out. this is reminiscent of a previous traumatic situation and it's severely setting my progress back.
due to debilitating untreated disabilities and previous history of abuse, i have been trapped in a vicious cycle of burnout and chronic pain for years. i cannot leave the house without overexerting myself, much less hold down a job.
a safe environment is vital to my recovery. i cannot support myself sustainably while in constant distress and panic from being stuck in unpredictable, toxic living situations.
$2600 should cover the move-in costs for most housing within my budget.
0 / 2600
this is my only option as someone who lacks good credit and can't provide proof of income. prerequisites like this are deadly barriers to housing, especially for the marginalized, such as disabled poc like myself.
i know it's a god awful time for everyone, any help people are capable of contributing is vastly appreciated.

“As we implement our new strategy of replacing tents based on areas and encampments most in need, we want to share with you this story of a family in dire conditions - this is the brother of the honorable martyr Refaat Alareer.
We have known about this extended family and the area they live in since mid July. However, it was not until this week that we could come in and serve this encampment of destroyed and makeshift tents.
Just to show you that no one in Gaza is immune to the suffering and pain, Refaat Alareer’s family, despite his magnitude as a Palestinian scholar and activist, is living in some of the worst tents we have seen.
It was our honor to assist them and respect the legacy of the man who we are so fortunate to have been given permission to name our camp after. Check back later in the week to see how we provided tents for Refaat’s brother’s family and supported the encampment that needed so much help.”
Please continue to give so we can serve these communities with shelter this winter. The Tents, Cash Aid, and Medical campaign:

Can't believe I'm saying this but the weather is slowly changing in Gaza again and it rained quite heavily this week. Knowing this while literally 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced, many living in makeshift tents, is a terrifying thought. Since last week's rain, many people are left without a place to stay and their belongings destroyed by the rain.
The cost of tents is between $700 and $800 which is beyond practically everyone in Gaza right now. However, the Sameer Project are crowdfunding and providing these families with tents. You can help out by either donating and/or sharing their initiative with your friends and community members. Just add "tent" in the note when you donate:

i don’t know amira, but she’s a friend of a friend. she is an egyptian trans woman who has recently had her right to work in the uk revoked. she cannot go back to egypt due to the country’s ‘morality laws’, so is in the process of appealing for asylum here, but since she can’t work she needs financial support for rent, bills, and to fund her transition. i know people are hard up right now but any support would be really appreciated and would make all the difference

ive been following a young man from gaza (medo halimy) on instagram since the beginning of the war. he made amazing videos despite being consistently displaced, throughout all the turmoil and throughout the loss of his family members... for a while now he's been vlogging about planting different herbs in his tent near the sea where he was displaced and trying to cook with them, and he uploaded a new video yesterday to show us how his plants were getting along. after that he was killed by an airstrike at the beach where he was sitting with his friend. now i can't stop thinking about all those plants he grew during a genocide for his family to eat. the plants are still alive but he isn't.

❤♥️ Save a Gazan family ♥️❤
@amalashuor, her husband, and their baby girl Maryam are constantly on my mind.
Amal, who was still a student when the attack on Gaza interrupted her pursuit of a Master's degree, has had to evacuate time and time again, seeking shelter for her family.
Every time she asks "why isn't my campaign making progress? Who can I speak to to get help?" I feel like I've failed her. Her campaign, which has a very reachable goal, has been stagnating.
We don't know how many opportunities they will to cross the border. We can't take chances. Time is of the essence. If the time comes and the border opens and they haven't reached their goal yet, I don't know what I'll do. They cannot separate, so they must have enough to evacuate all three of them.
Please, please donate, and if you can't, share as far as you can , as urgently as possible.
Let's get them safe. ❤
#175 on this vetted fundraiser list.

Charles is less than two days away from being deported to Kenya and fears for his life. He needs every Canadian's help by signing this petition. Please don't let him down.
Charles Mwangi is a bisexual man who has spoken openly about his sexuality and has worked for years to help so many vulnerable people in his community.
MWAC says the absolute best you can do to support him right now AND I MEAN RIGHT NOW is to sign this petition that will automatically send a letter begging the minister in charge of his case to allow Charles to stay in Canada.
This is realistically a life or death scenario. if you are Canadian, or have a canadian address you can sign from, please, help Charles. it is literally the least a good person should do.

you've heard of "quiet quitting," now I'd like to introduce you to the next level, The French Work Ethic:
Do exactly what you're paid for and nothing more
Absolutely refuse to be available to contact when you're off the clock
Never prioritize work over your own health, wellbeing, or family because that would be insane, it's just a job.
Have a little glass of wine
Take as long as you feel like for lunch
Deeply understand that work doesn't matter
Make sure your boss knows they're always your second priority ❤️

Compassionate Hearts Around the World,
My name is Khalil Abubaker, and I am reaching out to you from Gaza, a place that has been deeply affected by the ongoing war. The past eight months have been incredibly challenging for my family and me. My father, who has always been our main supporter, has been unable to work due to the conflict. Like many others, he lost his job and exhausted all his savings trying to keep us afloat.
Our Family’s Situation:
Our family consists of my mother, my father, my four sisters, my brother, and myself. Despite the dire circumstances, we have always stayed strong and supported one another. We were also running a small side business—a rabbit farm—that helped us make ends meet. Tragically, our farm was totally destroyed by an air strike, wiping out our additional source of income.
Personal Contribution and Current Struggle:
I was working remotely with a company outside of Gaza, contributing significantly to our family's needs. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, I lost my employment and spent all my savings trying to help us survive. Now, after eight long and difficult months, we find ourselves at a breaking point. We have exhausted all our resources, and the situation here in Gaza continues to deteriorate. The hope we once clung to is slipping away, and we desperately need your help to survive and evacuate to a safer place.
Call for Help:
Our campaign goal is to raise €30,000. Initially, we will use €20,000 to cross the border into Egypt for myself, my father, my mother, and my youngest unmarried sister—half of our family members. The remaining €10,000 will be used to settle in Egypt and cover the costs of necessary items, rent, transportation, and other expenses as we start a new life.
How You Can Help:
I've never spoken up like this before; in fact, I feel shy even asking my close friends outside the country to help because I know it's beyond their ability. I truly believe in the kindness of strangers and in the power of the global community to help us get out of this dire situation. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to securing a future away from the devastation. We understand that not everyone may be able to contribute financially, but sharing our story with your network can also make a significant difference.
The Heartbreak:
Leaving Gaza means leaving behind the home my father spent his entire life building, and the memories we cherish so deeply. It means separating our family in the hope that we will one day reunite. The decision to leave is incredibly difficult, but our safety and survival are paramount.
Gratitude:
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. Together, we can give my family the hope and strength to overcome this harrowing time and start anew.
With gratitude and hope,
Khalil Abubaker

I'm writing to bring awareness to the fundraiser of Hossam Al Bardawil
(ID in Alt)
During this horrific genocide, Hossam has lost his parents and siblings. His entire home was demolished, and he is now trying to provide for his remaining family--his nieces and nephews as well as their widowed mothers.
He is trying to raise the funds to evacuate his family from Gaza and his goal is to reach $20,000 CAD, and so far, he has raised around $7.5K CAD. (Note: the exchange rate. 1 USD is equal to approx. 1.37 CAD)
With your help, he can reach his funding goal and get his family out of this dangerous war zone, where food is scarce and every day is life or death.
