delayed proposal
MASTERLIST
Summary: in which Harry’s got a few secrets up his sleeve and Y/N just wants to know if he’s going to propose
Author’s Note: this is the blurb i was talking about with bandmates!harry x y/n. remember to like and reblog because i crave validation. love ya <3
Word Count: 1.1k
•••
“Are you going to propose soon?” Was the last question Harry expected to be uttered out of Y/N’s bright pink lips.
It was just another Sunday night, the couple trying to enjoy those last fleeting moments of weekend relaxation before Monday arrived with the usual burden and obligations of being working adults.
In little less than 12 hours, Y/N would be back to her 9-5 job being an assistant to a high-class executive of a finance company. Her boss had too much authority for being so irresponsible and more money than anyone would need in a lifetime. What a luxury it must be to have your dad pass down a company you didn’t know how to run down to you.
Her boss wasn’t a horrible person, he was quite respectful and kind when asking her to do tasks, he was just a very exploitative executive. He had learned from his father to be unbending and demanding.
Y/N’s work paid a good wage, enough for her to pay her bills and still have a bit left. She wasn’t one to buy luxuries, though, preferring to save money up so she could one day quit her 9-5. And then dedicate herself to the things she did every day after work: picked up her red electric guitar, adorned a black skirt that bordered on too short, and perform for (currently small) crowds of people who cheered her band on as they played.
There wasn’t anything Y/N loved quite as much as the rush of being on stage, the bass making the stage shake with each loud thrum, sticks clashing with plates of a drum and the velvet voice of an angel, Harry singing through the microphone and his eyes on her and her fingers moving over the fret of the guitar.
They played small clubs and rundown bars, getting payed a poor wage for the extrenous effort used to get four adults with full time jobs to align their schedules in order to rehearse. Sometimes all they got were free drinks, but they took what they could get and did it for the love of it.
That was how they got here, on Harry’s couch, his arm draped around her shoulders, and her head on his chest. They were watching Bluey, the way they did most nights they spent together. He would always roll his eyes when Y/N suggested it, pretending to hate it, but she knew it was his favorite show, and he always cried at the emotional episodes.
Their instruments lay forgotten on the table, his blue guitar next to her red one, as they’d spent most of the afternoon drinking beer and writing a new song.
It was a question that had been lingering in the back of Y/N’s mind, and she wasn’t quite sure why she chose that moment to blurt it out, but she did. “Are you going to propose soon?”
Harry’s gaze turned to her, eyebrows raised in light surprise, a small breath exhaled between his lips in a faint chuckle. “What?”
It was too late to take it back, so Y/N sat up and told him, “You’ve always talked about wanting to settle down and get married.” His features remained in small confusion. “We’ve been together for a while. Are you going to marry me?”
“Well, of course I’m going to marry you,” Harry said, like it were some scientific fact that everyone knew and was unchangeable. “You’re my forever, baby. I’ve written about a hundred songs about it.” His lips turned up in a smile. That smile he wore every time he told her he loved her, with a cocky and smug edge as if he were teasing her, laced with affection.
“I don’t mean we have to get married this instant, but I just, I guess we’ve never talked about if we were getting engaged or when and I-“
“Baby,” Harry cut off her nervous rambling, chuckling. He kissed her, soft lips with cracked edges from the cold and dry weather. “I already know what ring I’m going to buy. I’m just saving up for it.”
Y/N’s mind blanked for a moment. “You’re already thinking about rings?” Her lips parted in surprise.
Harry rolled his eyes. “Yes, silly girl. You’re not the only one thinking about marriage.” He smiled at her, reassuring her that he was just teasing. “In case you haven’t noticed yet, I’m hopelessly in love with you.”
“Oh,” Y/N said, still in shock. Here she was, getting all nervous and insecure about marriage and he had already been planning to propose. Her question now seemed a bit foolish. She looked up at him and said, “You know I don’t need some needlessly expensive ring, right? You could buy it on Aliexpress and I couldn’t care less.”
Harry looked at her with slight amusement. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah,” Y/N said with a small nod. “It’s stupid to spend money on a ring when it doesn’t make much of a difference.”
Harry sighed. “Baby, it’s not about the ring being expensive. It’s about the ring being a symbol for my devotion to you. And I want my devotion to be apparent in the beauty of it.” He tapped the finger on her left hand where the ring would lay. “No, I don’t have to spend money on an expensive ring. That’s why I’m not just getting a huge diamond. I’m getting something you’ll love.”
“But it’s expensive and it’s a waste of money on a simple ring-“
“Is it just a ring? Or is it a symbol of matrimony, of us being together forever?” Harry said gently, correcting her statement. “Not to mention you’re going to be wearing that ring every day ‘till you die.”
Y/N made a sound of contradiction. “Unless we get a divorce.”
Harry stared at her blankly for a few moments. He deadpanned, “Not funny.”
“Kinda funny,” Y/N said with a small smile.
She waited for Harry’s stern gaze to soften with adoration the way it always did. It only took a few moments for his composure to crumble and he leaned in close to her. His nose grazed against hers as he muttered quietly, “You’re going to be the death of me.”
The way he said it sounded like a declaration of love. Everything he said to her did. Because his love could never be called in to doubt. It shone through every word he uttered, every song he wrote, every thing he did.
His lips locked onto hers once again, the tension in his muscles melting away as if all he needed to feel complete was to be pressed against her. To have every inch of skin surrounding her, the taste of beer still on her tongue, and the scent of spring enveloping his senses.
“I’m going to marry you,” Harry uttered, an oath murmured against her lips before placing a hand on the back of her neck, pulling her close once again.

A Family Day at the Beach
Nanami Kento x fem! Reader
Tags: Pure sweet almost sickly fluff, Domestic, pregnancy, SFW, Alternative Universe, I was watching a bunch of Nara Smith videos and needed an outlet before I ended up getting married and having a real-life baby
w/c: 2,083
Based on this moodboard I made
For reference son is around 5 years old, older daughter is around 3, baby is almost 1 and the fetus is a fetus.
Dividers by @soulari
Nanami walked leisurely across the shore line of Kuantan watching his son and daughter in pure amusement as they poked and prodded at a displeased crab.
He had warned them earlier to leave the animal alone, that its claws would pinch their little fingers however, they insisted that the crab come back to live in their sand castle and that it had simply lost its way home. He couldn’t argue with that.
So for the better part of half an hour he had joined his kids in the slow journey guiding “Mr. Grabs” back home. And finally after a lifetime of traversing the sand dunes, the sand castle was in view.
“Almost there Mr. Grabs” his daughters sweet voice offered words of encouragement gently tapping the crabs hard exterior with a twig in the hope to jolst in further ahead. His son however, has grown restless over this whole ordeal.
“UGHHHH Can this thing be any slower” his son puffed, squeezing at his blonde tendrils in frustration. Nanami let out a breathy laugh recounting that at least all the lessons he had taught them both on patience had an effect on one of the children.
In that moment of positive recollection, he glanced upwards towards the sky soaking in the warmth from the rays above.
Big Mistake.
His knee-length clone identified this slight second of distraction from the adult present which gave him enough time to make his move. Nanami should have expected this, kids are like predators, waiting for a moment of weakness from their prey (their parents) before striking and doing something stupid. Alas just as quickly as his happy memories started to play, it ended with the shrill shriek of his daughter.
“Put him down” she screamed as she watched her brother pick up Mr Grabs and run in the direction of the sand castle. Before Nanami could open his mouth she had taken off after her brother, swinging her plastic toy shovel in the air. Standing there in the cloud of sand dust left by his children Nanami mused the idea of yelling at both of them to stop knowing they would both immediately listen but something tickled in the back of his head reminding him that this would be a great parenting lesson to have up his sleeve so he resigned to watching this small bout of madness play out already knowing how it would end.
His son looked back at his sisters expression taunting her with a toothy grin “I’m just faster than you-“
“Three, two, one…” like magic Nanami counted in his head and as soon as the clock struck midnight his son’s face began to contort. First confusion, then pain, then….
Every beachgoer in the near vicinity, grimaced at the ear splitting scream let out by the little boy as he began to flay his arm attempting to unattach a very pissed off crab from his appendage. Pushing the smug parent grin to the back of his mind Nanami approached the panicked child and removed the crustacean from his body, tossing it to the side and watching as it hurriedly scuttled away.
“Errrrr, Kento!” Your voice slashed through the moment “When I said watch the kids, watching them get bitten by crabs was not what I had in mind!” You grumbled, awkwardly manoeuvring yourself upwards, your round pregnant belly throwing off your centre of gravity causing you to stumble slightly in your ascent. Beside you your youngest child babbled happily in the sand, unaware of the distress her older siblings were in.
Nanami grinned sheepishly “It’s alright dear no one got hurt” he held the blushing boys arm as proof of his claim “Lie back done and get some rest” he cooed sweetly. Although your eyes were hidden behind a pair of sunglasses he could feel the daggers aimed in his direction before you sighed and laid back down in the sun chair, picking back up the mother magazine you were reading.
He knelt down wordlessly and analysed the boy's wound, the finger was pinched pink but otherwise no skin was broken and no damage was caused other than to his ego. Smiling sweetly at his son, his lecture to the sniffling child on patience and respecting animals had begun in the most serious tone he could muster with that heavenly ‘Told you so’ feeling swimming in the back of his mind. His son stared at the ground, he hated being scolded by Nanami despite the fact his father never raised his voice or berated him his tone always carried a serious level of discipline and respect that could make a bird feel bad for singing. Nanami didn't like scolding either but he knew it was important to ensure his children stayed on the right path and represented him and his wife's hard work well. The boy nodded wordlessly once Nanami had reached his concluding message and reached out to hug his father's open arms buring his face into the older man's chest.
This was your fourth child with Nanami yet you were still a bundle of nerves preparing for their arrival. Being so close in age with your youngest (completely unplanned on your part, SOMEONE can’t keep their hands and other body parts to themselves) you worried about dividing your attention equally between the under twos and also how much sleep you would be able to get with breastfeeding two mouths.
You had read countless advice columns and mommy blogs warning about the dangers of having kids too close in age, critiquing mothers with large families on their ability to love and provide attention to all their children equally, and seen countless posts warning about the dangers of just about everything you currently did raising your young family. Doubt began to fill your head and despite having three little ones you felt like a new mother learning to do the correct things all over again.
Nanami did his best to ease your anxiety with foot rubs and affirming words reminding you that you both were a team and that he was ready to take on the sleepless nights again, even suggesting hiring a full time nanny to live in the house during the first few months to make the newborn stage easier. You declined his offer, despite home-care being cheaper in Malaysia it would still eat into a large chuck on his savings that could be allocated better elsewhere. Plus you had just watched a video of kids saying that they liked their nanny more than their moms which only added to your growing anxiety.
Nanami had noticed your behaviour change, especially after you began to second guess whether or not you'd vaccinate the baby and seriously discussed giving birth at home in the tub with no nurse or midwife. He shot down these ideas immediately, insisting that he would not be putting you or his children through that extra stress based on conspiracy theories and fear-mongering. He had started to worry about how all the 'online garbage' was affecting your sanity and mental health during your third trimester and insisted on having a no-technology day at the beach to ease your worries.
After another great parenting lesson was concluded Nanami made his way towards his moody wife. Your grouchiness never bothered him, in fact, it was one of his favourite parts of pregnancy. Seeing you become tender and over-emotional and knowing exactly how to squeeze a smile out of you in those moments was his greatest pleasure and partially why you both had formed a little league football team worth of children in such a short amount of time.
“There are my sweet girls” he approached the cheery baby on the ground first, casually removing the fist full of sand that was making its way to her open mouth and peppering kisses across her chubby cheeks causing her to bubble over in laughter. Music to his ears.
“And my favourite girl” he grinned placing the baby on his hip and crouching beside you on the chair. You glanced away from your magazine and scoffed at the slight on your husband’s over-exaggerated kissy face he was making at you.
“No kisses for me?” He asked playfully cocking his head to the side. You rolled your eyes and placed a single chaste kiss on his lips but before you could pull yourself away, you felt a large hand on the back of your neck , keeping you in place as he deepened the kiss. You mumbled incoherently into his mouth for a second before giving in to the affection placing a soft hand on the side of his face. After what felt like an eternity, this kiss was interrupted by a small disapproving smack from the baby on his side who began claw at both of your faces clearly distressed by this public display of affection.
Giggles enveloped the both of you whilst affectionately watching the baby crawl back to the pile of toys in the sand once placed on the ground.
“Still reading that magazine love? Nanami asked glancing at the the object in question “Honestly, we’ve done this three times already I don’t know what other advice you could possibly need or how much more equipment we could fit in the nursery” he grunted as he stood up from the sand balancing at the edge of your sun-bed.
Rolling your eyes you folded up the magazine placing it out of sight “There’s always some thing new to learn with these things, like the new Montessori school opening nearby and there’s these baby bottles that are shaped like real nipples to help with latching, and a bassinet that rocks the baby for you! It’s called the SNOO it’s about eight thousand Ringgits but we can buy it second hand” Nanami playfully groaned at your rambling shifting his body until he laying between your thighs leaving small kisses where he could reach.
“Are you even listening to me Kento? I said it says here that plastic nappies are actually bad for babies skin and that plastic bottles can cause eczema” He hummed absentmindedly in response resulting in a pout from you and a flick to the forehead.
Brushing off your annoyance he pointed his finger in the direction of your two oldest children who were engrossed in a very intense game of tag “Look over there love”
You winced slightly at the blow your daughter had delivered to her brother back once she caught up with him suppressing your giggle as he face-planted into the floor before getting up and taking after his assailant at full speed.
“And over here” he again pointed to the baby playing “Can I eat that?” in the sand beside them.
“You raised all of these kids just fine without all that nonsense, we’re going to be just fine” he kissed your thighs again caressing small circles into you while his eyes remained half-lidded.
You huffed again staring down at your caring husband allowing yourself to relax at his touch. Maybe he was right, all your babies were happy and healthy and you kept them alive for this long and anonmom2567 couldn't be THAT much better at parenting than you afterall.
"You're probably right Ken" you sighed again closing your eyes and relaxing back into the sunbed, he smiled lazily into your thighs content that his plan had worked and that he could reduce some of his wife’s troubles. The sound of gentle waves and chatter lulled you both into comfortable silence appreciating the wonderful weather, coastal air, and beautiful sky.
Of course as a parent silence meant trouble was afoot.
After a few minutes of this blissful silence you turnt to find your baby was not at her pile of blocks. You immediantly shot up and began to scan the area horrified to see your baby a considerable distance away (how'd she even crawl that fast???) at another families beach set up eating a popsicle from a cooing older lady.
"Aren't you just the most precious little angel" she fawned over your littlest one who was already scanning what they would eat next.
Not only that your oldest son had decided that the most adequet punishment for the slap he had recieved earlier was digging his younger sister neck deep in the sand.
Nanami followed your eyes to the scenes before him and let out a loud laugh, getting up to dig out the now-crying child while you retrieved your baby escape artist.
You were going to be just fine.
A/N: My second public fic omgggg hope you enjoyed. I was binge watching a bunch of Nara Smiths content and decided that I need to write my own young family AU before I messed around and married a mormon

This legacy is based on the same one by @sweetlysimss who very graciously gave me permission to try my hand at converting the challenge for TS3. It's not perfect but I tried my best to stick to the original rules and try and make it fun!
Tag: #nsbxbpr should be fine still or @ me if you do try this out!
Rules:
This challenge can be played with vanilla, banilla, or berry sims
As per the challenges this is based on, the romance options are a mix between those in the BPR or NSB, allowing you to choose which you’d like (or mix them up if you wish!)
There is an optional generational challenge to paint/take a photo of your heir for every generation
The generational requirements do not need to be strictly followed/can be changed as you see fit - the important thing is to have fun!
Generation 1: White
You come from a long line of privileged sims. Life was easy for you and you never wanted for nothing. Despite the easy life, you also felt constricted, unable to be yourself. Now that you’re a young adult, you decide to break free from your parents and pursue your own dreams. Packing your bags, and taking enough money to get by with you, you run away to the old, rundown, farmhouse that the only grandparent you cared for left you in the will. Starting off with nearly nothing to your name, you decide to pursue the hobby you were never allowed to chase to its extent: painting. Due to your upbringing, you find it difficult to let other sims in and may come across as rude sometimes. What you really need is that one special sim to make you feel like it’s all worth it. Slowly but surely, as the years go by, your own family starts to grow, but life is not without its ups and downs…
Recommended traits: artistic, snob, grumpy, hopeless romantic
Career: none; make money through your paintings, fishing, and harvestables
Move into your grandparent’s old house. Must be fairly basic/rustic (the size of the house/lot is up to you)
Max the painting, gardening, and logic skills
Have multiple romantic interests throughout your life, but do not settle permanently with any of them until after you have your first child.
Go on at least one date with a purple, pink, and/or a red sim
Have one child
Get married (does not have to be the parent of your child)
Become enemies with the other sims you did not end up with
Have one more child (can be adopted or an alien baby if you wish!)
Sell at least two masterpiece paintings
Have at least two animals in your household
Optional: raise one from its youngest lifestage all the way through to elder
Be good friends with all your children and animals
Become good friends with at least one grandchild
-
Generation 2: Purple/Pink/Red
Although not everyone would believe you, you would say you had a great childhood. You grew up sheltered but loved by your parents and sibling. From a young age, you had a great passion for reading and books, though all those days spent reading might have left you with a few unrealistic expectations about life. Despite everything, you are eager to see everything that life has to offer and a sudden once-in-a-lifetime trip might change your world forever…
Recommended traits: bookworm, computer whiz, great kisser, irresistible, family oriented
Career: writer
Max the painting and writing skills
Optional: master the charisma skill too
Shortly after you become a YA go to one of the WA worlds or travel to the future. Your time here winds up inspiring you for the rest of your life
Become a writer
Either become a genre specialist or write a book from every genre
Kiss at least five different sims in your life
Leave a sim at the alter (peach or yellow)
Must have had at least two children with this sim
Have a difficult relationship with at least one of your children after the separation from your ex-partner
Have at least 3 children with any other sim (or the sim you eventually marry)
Do not marry until you are an elder
The sim you marry must be yellow or peach (whichever was not the colour of your first spouse)
The sim you marry must be in the culinary career
-
Generation 3: Peach/Yellow
It is fair to say that you grew up in quite a hectic household. The only person who spends time with you and truly understands you is your childhood best friend. The two have you been through thick and thin. They were initially drawn to you for your quiet nature, your inquisitive soul, and a passion for nature inherited from your grandparent. In your late teens, you start to notice those traits are working against you, causing others to call you “weird” or “different”, so you adapted. However, in the process of becoming this new version of yourself, you find yourself losing the one thing you ever held dead. Will you ever get your best friend back? Only time will tell…
Recommended traits: loner, shy, brooding, disciplined, athletic
Career: professional sports and then unemployed when you become an adult (though you can supplement your household funds with your collections)
Max the painting, athletic, and martial arts skills
As a child join the boy/girl scouts, and then join one of the afterschool clubs as a teenager
As a child meet your best friend in a different neighbourhood (orange or grey)
As a teen, never have any close friends except for your best friend and any of your grandparents if they are still alive
As a teen, date your childhood best friend
As a young adult, you decide to change your life around and become the social, popular sim you’ve always wanted to be
Join the professional sports career
You and your best friend begin to drift apart and eventually separate
Not long after they leave, you realise you are pregnant
You date around but nothing lasts
Complete one or more of the following collections: metals, gems, insects, fish, or plants
Do not have a good relationship with your child until they are a teenager
After becoming an adult, quit your career in sports but continue to make money by selling your collections
As an adult, reconcile with your childhood best friend
Optional: have one more child
Get married
-
Generation 4: Orange/Grey
Unlike your parents, you are far more practical when it comes to your life choices - or so you like to claim. After getting interested in your grandparent’s large book collection, you become interested in the occult, in particular witches. A mysterious book leads you to become a witch accidentally and soon strange things start to happen. Before you know it your great-grandparent has come back from the dead! In flesh and blood! How on Earth did that happen? As you begin to figure things out for yourself, a mysterious stranger takes an interest in your so called necromancy…
Recommended traits: bookworm, supernatural fan, artistic, night owl, gatherer
Career: fortune telling (you can supplement your household funds by selling potions/ingredients)
Max the painting and alchemy skills
Get a job in the fortune telling career
Date three sims but never get serious with any of them
One of these sims lead to you becoming a witch
Create every potion
Bring back your great-grandparent (up to you how this is done - you can cheat or use any of the methods in game)
Become at least good friends with them
Your necromancy catches the interest of a local doctor (yellow or purple) and you fall in love
Have at least five children together
Teach all your children their skills
-
Generation 5: Purple/Yellow
The world has so many beautiful sights to offer! You can’t wait to paint them, photograph them, or sculpt them! Your life seems to be going perfectly until one day it isn’t. One day you wake up questioning yourself, your career, even your partner! Don’t you deserve better? Of course you do! You decide to switch your life around first thing in the morning. but was it really the right choice to make?
Recommended traits: artistic, avant garde, good, excitable, savvy sculptor, photographer’s eye
Career: painter or sculptor
Max the painting skill, plus the sculpting and/or photography skills
Go to university and achieve a fine arts degree
Be enemies with at least one sibling
Start a relationship with a former classmate (orange or green)
Have at least one child
After becoming an adult, a midlife crisis hits you hard
Quit your job
End the relationship with your partner or divorce them. Afterwards, you continue to have a good relationship with them
Find a new job and skill to focus on as an adult
start a new relationship with a different orange or green sim (whichever colour was not your first partner)
Have at least one child

Generation 6: Orange/Green
Food is love. Crime is life. Doting parent and aspiring cook by day, criminal by night. Have you ever heard of a baking criminal? Neither have you, but someone should be the first. You have loved cooking and baking from a young age, though struggled to find your feet in the culinary career. When you leave at night your family think you are working at a swanky restaurant in town, little do they know you’re actually working for the most notorious criminal organisation in town! You prove yourself to be a hard worker but you know when to slack off and have fun. You make it a habit to visit every seasonal festival…with the bonus of getting some flirty looks from the cute sim in the crowds.

vernon can’t cook. if there’s anything you need to know about him, he can’t cook. despite this, you find yourself waking up to a familiar scent flowing through the house.
wincing slightly at the headache, you removed the blanket- wait, blanket? oh, pillows too. didn’t you fall asleep on the couch? confused, you get up from the bed and padded to the living room, only to see vernon wearing an apron that was visibly too small for him, cooking at the countertop of the kitchen.
smiling, you walk up behind him and wrapped your arms around him. he jumps a little. oops.
“baby?”
“hey nonie.”
your boyfriend chuckles lightly at the nickname, lowering the heat and turns around to face you. “i told you not to call me that.” he says jokingly, eyes softening as he takes in the tiredness written all over you. vernon tucks a piece of hair behind your ear, and as if it was done instinctively, places a soft kiss on your temple, then your forehead.
“what are you doing? you can’t even cook ramyeon.” you say, peering behind him, trying to find out what he was making. it looked exactly like what your mother cooked for you whenever you fell ill. how-
“you said you left work early ‘cause you felt sick. i remember you told me about this beef soup your mother makes for you, so i called her and asked her for the recipe.” vernon shrugs, like he wasn’t the same person that was shaking when he first met your mother.
oh god. you’re gonna marry this man. you’ve decided.
“oh.. thank you.” he hums, turning around and stirs a bit more. “i’m almost done, gimme a minute and i’ll pour you a bowl ‘kay? rest for now, please.” vernon briefly turns his head around and presses another kiss on your forehead, smiling at you.
as you find your seat on the couch, you watch your boyfriend who has a wooden spatula in his hand, stirring every once in a while. you really thought you would never ever see him cook in this lifetime but - not anymore.
“vernon, you really cooked that up?” you say in awe, slowly taking in the fact that he was in the kitchen and somehow did not make any mess, and even something edible. vernon laughs, “yes, i did.” you squint at him questioningly.
“okay, fine, fine. your mother did assist me through the phone.”

sharing some thoughts that i have about my amazing, precious, sweet angel baby boy megumi
⁂ i've seen ppl on here say that he's shy, especially when it comes to u. i don't think he is shy at all. he's just a bit more on the quiet side and he's definitely not shy in front of u. i think he's more of a tease hehe
⁂ very protective over you. like, extremely.
⁂ he's absolutely obsessed with you.
⁂ he always puts you first. always.
⁂ as i mentioned above, he is a fucking TEASE. he loves teasing you, he loves flustering you. he wants your face heating up and he wants you to look away from him so he can grab your face and make you look at him to fluster you even more.
⁂ he is so clingy o.m.g. and honestly? he doesn't care if people tease him about it. he is clingy and proud. he just loves being with you.
⁂ LOVES EYE CONTACT. his eyes are always on yours or on your lips
⁂ play with his hair. he'll marry u on the spot.
⁂ he could spend the entire day in bed with you just kissing nd kissing nd kissing nd kissing u.
⁂ pleasure dom. 100%
⁂ he's obsessed with ur thighs. doesn't matter how big or small they are. he hugs them, kisses them, uses them as pillow, bites them, massages them ect ect he loves them
⁂ he makes out with u whenever he can
⁂ ummm if u kiss his neck he's literally melting. his neck is sensetive
⁂ dies when u wear his clothes bc why the fuck do u look so adorable????
⁂ once he's a 100% sure that he's never gonna leave u he'll introduce u to gojo. it's important to him that he gets to know u nd that he accepts nd loves u
⁂ and gojo does love u! which makes megumi happy but gojo might be a little too obsessed with u. he jokes around nd says stuff like "i love her more than u, kiddo" nd it might make megumi a lil jealous lol
⁂ tsumiki fucking adores u. u two are besties nd always hang out with each other. nd it's the most beautiful thing to megumi nd he couldn't be happier. he does get a lil jealous if u spend too much time with her nd not with him hehe
⁂ so basically if u spend too much time with other ppl he'll get a lil jealous bc he wants u all to himself <333
⁂ he always rolls his eyes at u when u hype him up like he's always handsome but sometimes he just looks extra fine so u pull out ur phone nd take a hundred pics of him "megumi smile! gimme one from the back! turn to the side! yes yes that's perfect!" like a damn fashion photographer nd he always acts annoyed but he isn't. he loves nd appreciates u! ur just a little extra but that's okay, he loves you
⁂ ummm he loves you
⁂ loves you so much
⁂ man i cant put it into words but when i say he loves you i mean he LOVES you. he is head over heels. totally deep in love. will choose you in every lifetime again nd again nd again nd again nd AGAIN
⁂ he wears rings 🙃 we all know that
⁂ i see him with double helix piercings
⁂ he loves when u leave hickies on him nd he won't cover them up he doesn't care if anyone sees bc they're from u nd they look pretty hot on him anyway bye
⁂ he loves when u buy clothes for him
⁂ megumi gets so fucking soft over u it's hilarious like he sees u sleeping on the couch in a weird position & he could just cry bc u look so adorable like stop giving him heart attacks
⁂ or when ur brushing ur teeth in the morning + he stares at u through the mirror.... he fell in love all over again
⁂ to him it's rlly just the little things that matter the most <3
⁂ also cries at ur wedding! gojo laughs loudly nd earns a slap on the back of his head from nanami. gojo ends up crying during the speech later on lmao

"I couldn't want you anymore" | part 12
Artist! Joel Miller x Florist! Reader
series masterlist | prev chapter | epilogue
summary: when Sarah's mom comes back into Joel's life to fight for their past relationship, Joel needs to convince her he is in a happy relationship with the florist next to his gallery in order to make her go away. The problem is, that he and the florist can't stand each other's guts or that it's what he thinks.
warning: age gap (8 years), bee is the reader's nickname, fluff, mentions of birth, not proofreading because I'm lazy.
a/n: Well, we have arrived at the last chapter of this story! This has been my favorite baby and thank you so much to all of you who stay and read this one. So much love for you <3 now, perhaps this chapter may look a little rushed but my inspo is not at my best right now, but still think it was the best way to end it. By the way, the epilogue is coming soon. Reblogs and comments are appreciated. <3
It has been a month since the second Joel made the choice of ask you to marry him, and by now it was a secret between him and Sarah who had helped him to pick out the ring and choose the perfect moment to ask the question that would change the course of your relationship forever.
A week from now on he would have a new exhibition at his gallery.
A week from now on he would ask you to marry him.
Since the moment you had appeared into Joel’s life, he tried to deny the nag feeling settled in the bottom of his stomach, same feeling that after days, weeks, and months passed became into butterflies dancing inside his gut every time he looked at you far away.
All those memories seemed have happened a lifetime ago, but in this last month, Joel found himself reflecting on the journey that brought you into his life. Since the first talk to the day, you became an official couple, and he smiled at those memories, he smiled at your face and at how it has been so lucky to find a person to spend his life with.
You had reached your six months of pregnancy; your belly had grown a lot, and Joel gazed at you with a mix of awe and tenderness as your baby kept growing inside you. Recalling the first baby’s kicks, the joy of picking out baby clothes together, and the quiet moments when he spoke to the rowan inside your belly before you fell asleep.
“I don’t think I should go to the opening” you spoke, as you try dresses on “I don’t feel good in any clothes!”
Joel, looked at you attentive and understanding you discomfort as you tried on different dresses.
"You don't have to push yourself if you're not feeling up to it," Joel said, his voice filled with reassurance. “But you look beautiful no matter what you wear. I want you to feel good and not be stressed about this."
He crossed his arms around your middle, placing his hands over your belly as if trying to comfort you and the baby “I want you both there, and I will do anything to keep you both safe.”
"Joel, I appreciate your support," you said, a small smile playing on your lips. "I want to be there for you, and I know the opening is important. But it's just hard to find something that feels right, you know?"
He nodded, understanding etched on his face. "I get it. We'll figure this out together. If you're not up for the opening, we can come up with an alternative plan. What matters most is that you and Rowan are comfortable and safe."
You leaned into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his love. The anticipation of becoming parents had deepened the connection between you and Joel, and in moments like these, you found strength in each other's presence. The upcoming exhibition held significance, but the well-being of your growing family took precedence.
"But do you want my opinion?" Joel whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple.
“Yes.”
“I think the red dress fit you perfectly” this time he kissed your cheek.
You chuckled, appreciating Joel's opinion "The red dress, huh? Maybe you're onto something."
Joel's eyes sparkled with a playful glint. "Trust me on this one. You'll turn heads, and Rowan will appreciate the stylish entrance."
His words brought a genuine smile to your face. Joel's ability to find joy and humor in even the challenging moments had always been one of the things you loved about him. With a nod, you agreed, "Alright, then. The red dress it is.”
Joel grinned, giving you a quick peck on the cheek. "That's my girl. Now, let me take care of everything else. You just go to sleep.”
“Okay, but don’t go to bed too late” you said, pecking his lips.
“Promise.”
In the anticipation-filled hours before the gallery exhibition opening night, the energy at home was a mix of excitement and nerves. Downstairs, Joel and Sarah were getting ready, as she was fixing his tie, and you were getting ready in the bedroom.
You stood before the mirror, carefully choosing an outfit that felt just right for the occasion. The red dress Joel had suggested hung elegantly in front of you, accentuating the curve of your growing belly, and you couldn’t help but smile at his choice.
Downstairs, the sound of footsteps echoed, and Sarah's voice was just a whisper "Dad, are you ready for tonight?"
Joel chuckled, a hint of nervousness in his voice. "As ready as I'll ever be, kiddo. Why do you ask?"
There was a pause, and Sarah's tone turned sly. "Just making sure you're prepared for everything."
Joel raised an eyebrow, a playful smile forming on his lips. "Prepared for what, exactly?"
Sarah's reply held a mischievous edge. "Well, you know” then she lowered the voice “So, what's the plan? Can I see the ring?"
Joel hesitated for a moment, the weight of the moment sinking in. "Of course, you can. Just promise not to spill the beans to your bee”
Sarah chuckled, "I promise, Dad. My lips are sealed."
Joel carefully retrieved the ring from its box. As he opened the small velvet case, a delicate rose-shaped ring was revealed. The petals were intricately crafted, each one holding a shimmering gem at its center. It was a piece of art, a symbol of the love and growth between him and you.
Sarah's eyes widened in awe. "Dad, it's beautiful. Where did you find this one?"
Joel grinned, a twinkle in his eyes. "I actually designed it, and then I asked a jeweler to bring it to life. I wanted something special, just like my girl”
Sarah couldn't help but smile. "She's going to love it, Dad. It's perfect."
Joel sighed; relief evident in his expression. "I hope so. I fear bee will say no”
“Say no to what” you asked, descending down the stairs.
Joel rapidly hid the box inside his pocket, as he and Sarah exchanged a quick glance, their eyes widened.
With a subtle smile, Joel replied “Oh nothing, I mean about you going tonight”
“Well, I’m ready” you smiled, walking towards him to peck his cheek.
“You look stunning” he said in awe.
Joel's compliment brought a warm blush to your cheeks. "Thank you. You're not too shabby yourself," you teased, playfully nudging him.
Sarah grinned, observing the interaction between you and Joel. "Alright, lovebirds, we better get going. The exhibition is waiting."
There was an aura of excitement and anxious anticipation as the three of you made your way to the gallery. Joel exchanged a knowing look with Sarah as he hid the ring's secret in his pocket. The night ahead held both would be the one changing the course of your lives, and he was excited for it.
Once in the gallery the gallery was bustling with enthusiasm as people showed up to witness the exhibition's opening. Tommy and Lily, Sarah, friends, art critics, and the artists Joel collaborated with were all there. Music and chatter filled the air as everyone enjoyed the pieces of art on the walls.
Joel stood in the center of the room, a glass of champagne in hand, ready to speak to the audience. He gazed around, beaming with because of pride. He grinned as he noticed you in your red dress among the attendees, showing off the belly as your eyes met in an understanding language only the both of you could understand, the butterflies in his stomach temporarily replaced by a warmth that only your presence could provide.
"Thank you all for being here tonight," Joel said, his voice brimming with modesty and emotion. "This exhibition means a lot to me, not just as an artist, but as a person who has found inspiration in every corner of life."
He gave you a slight nod, acknowledging the huge impact that you had on his art and his heart. The audience listened carefully as they felt an intimate element in his words.
"I want to express my gratitude to the incredible artists I've had the privilege of working with," Joel concluded, thanking his colleagues. "Your dedication and talent have enriched my life and made this gallery a home for creative freedom."
The artists bowed gratefully while Joel spoke. Sarah, who was standing next to you, smiled proudly at his dad. Joel's job, as well as his relationships inside your growing family, were created by the path to this particular point, which had been defined by difficulties and triumphs.
Joel returned his eyes to you before raising his glass. "To the beauty that surrounds us, the art that brings us together, and the future that holds infinite possibilities. Thank you for being a part of our journey."
The crowd exploded in cheers, and Joel continued speaking with guests with a genuine grin on his face. The exhibition was both a celebration of his artistic accomplishments and a foreshadowing of the significant thing he was about to do. The excitement remained adding a layer of emotion to an already enduring evening.
After a while, he excused from the guests to find you. Once he walked through the sea of guests congratulating him, he spotted you next to the pastries table eating a mini pie. He beamed at the sight, feeling his hands sweating as the moment he was waiting for got closer.
"I see you're enjoying the pastries," he commented.
You glanced at him with wide eyes, a pang of embarrassment in your stomach as he witnessed you eating like that.
"You have cream here," he continued, cleaning the corner of your lips with his thumb.
You blushed at his gentle gesture, a mix of embarrassment and affection washing over you. Joel's touch was tender, and you couldn't help but smile at the subtle intimacy.
"Thanks for the save," you chuckled, savoring the sweetness of the pastry. "These mini pies are irresistible. Want one?"
Joel shook his head, his eyes fixed on you. "No, I've got something else in mind."
“What? You want to eat me?” you asked, concerned.
Joel chuckled, “No, bee, but if you are finished with your pie, I would like you to go with me somewhere” he said.
You raised an eyebrow, a curious smile playing on your lips. "Go somewhere? Now? What's going on, Joel?"
He took your hand, gently leading you away from the pastries and the crowd. There was a sense of excitement and nervousness in his eyes. "It's a little surprise," he said, a mischievous grin tugging at the corners of his lips.
As you followed him through the gallery, you couldn't help but wonder about the surprise. The art around you provided a unique backdrop, and you were intrigued by the anticipation in Joel's demeanor.
He knew you hated being the center of attention, so he planned where to asked you the question he had practice for a month.
Joel guided you through the gallery, carefully avoiding the main crowd. He led you to a secluded spot, where a particular piece of art, a captivating sculpture, stood illuminated by a spotlight. The sculpture itself resembled the intertwining branches of a rowan tree, and it held a special significance to both of you since rowan was safely growing inside you.
He stopped beside the sculpture, and you noticed a small table nearby with a single, elegant rose. The soft glow of the spotlight cast a warm ambiance, creating an intimate setting away from the bustling crowd.
"Joel, this is beautiful," you whispered, taking in the surroundings.
He smiled, his eyes reflecting the love he felt. "I wanted it to be just us, away from the crowd. and I thought it would be the perfect place."
“Perfect place for what?” you asked, curious.
You admired the thoughtfulness and effort he had put into this moment. The rowan tree, the lights, and the rose.
Joel reached for the rose and handed it to you, a gesture both sweet and "This is for you, Bee."
Joel took a long breath as you clutched the rose, his gaze stuck on yours. "Now, there's one more thing," he continued, kneeling on one knee. He took the velvet box in his hand and opened it to reveal the gorgeous rose-shaped ring.
“Bee, these past year and months have been an incredible journey, filled with all the joy I could ask for.”
You listened intently, touched by the sincerity in his words.
“I promised myself that I would never going to fall in love again, but then you appeared.” He smiled at you, trying to ease his nervousness. “From the moment you came to my life, everything changed. You brought a warmth and light I never knew I needed.
"From the moment you entered my life, everything changed. You brought a warmth and light that I never knew I needed and you've been my rock, Bee, and now, as we stand here surrounded by art that tells a thousand stories, I want to add another chapter to our story.”
Joel looked at you with such love in his eyes, as you were already crying.
“So, before I ask the most important question of my life, I want to thank you for being by my side, for sharing in the highs and lows, and for making every day brighter." he took another deep breath, his eyes never leaving yours. "Now, Bee, will you make me the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?"
Joel's eyes shimmered with anticipation as he awaited your response. And you overwhelmed by the depth of his words and the love shining in his eyes, you nodded, tears streaming down your face. "Of course, I want to marry you, Joel”
Joel's face lit up with an indescribable joy as he slipped the ring onto your finger. The intimate atmosphere, surrounded by art that mirrored the beauty of your shared journey, made the moment even more special.
The secluded spot, hidden away from the prying eyes of the crowd, became a haven for your private celebration. The gallery, filled with the echoes of your shared promise, the glow of art, and the lingering applause from the distant crowd, transformed into a sanctuary for your love story.
As you both pulled away, still caught in the enchantment of the moment, Joel held you close. And so, in the glow of the spotlight, surrounded by the intertwining branches of the rowan tree sculpture, you and Joel embraced the beginning of a new chapter in your family.
Joel's eyes sparkled with sheer happiness, and he leaned in to seal the moment with a sweet, lingering kiss. The world around you faded away, leaving only the warmth of Joel's embrace and the soft echo of the gallery's ambiance.
As you both pulled away, still caught in the enchantment of the moment, Joel held you close. His forehead rested against yours, and he whispered, "I love you, Bee."
The secluded spot, hidden away from the prying eyes of the crowd, became a haven for your private celebration. The gallery, filled with the echoes of your shared promise, the glow of art, and the lingering applause from the distant crowd, transformed into a sanctuary for your love story.
But the celebration continued beyond your private moment. Joel, still beaming with joy, led you back to the bustling crowd, hand in hand. The whispers of the artwork and the murmur of conversations became the soundtrack of your return.
As you rejoined the celebration, Joel couldn't contain his excitement. With a contagious grin, he interrupted the ongoing conversations, capturing the attention of friends, family, and art enthusiasts alike.
"Everyone, can I have your attention?" Joel called out, his voice carrying a mix of pride and happiness. The crowd hushed, turning their gaze toward the artist who had captivated their attention earlier.
"I have an announcement to make," Joel continued, his eyes fixed on you with unwavering adoration. "Bee and I are getting married!"
An audible gasp rippled through the crowd, followed by cheers and applause. The news spread like wildfire, and soon, well-wishers surrounded you, offering their congratulations. Lily and Tommy exchanged knowing smiles, while Sarah beamed with joy.
Joel, proud and beaming, held your hand tightly, savoring the shared happiness with those who had become a part of your story.
A few days later, the excitement of the engagement still lingered in the air as you and Joel began planning the details of your upcoming wedding. He wanted to marry you after Rowan birth, so he was just in the middle of the chaos of choosing venues, selecting invitations, and deciding on a color for every single detail to be ready at the moment you two had chosen.
But in a day, you were contemplating Joel from the couch, him in front of his laptop, eyebrows frowned. At the exact moment, feeling surge of boldness, you came up with an unexpected idea.
"Joel?" you called out
“Yes, baby?”
"What if we don't wait too long? What if we get married next month?"
Joel looked away from his laptop to you, surprise and curiosity etched on his face. "Next month? Bee, that's quite soon. Are you sure?"
You nodded, a gleam of determination in your eyes. "Think about it. We're already planning a wedding. We don’t need a fancy place, or fancy dress. We just need to celebrate ourselves with the people we love. Besides, with the baby coming, I don't want to wait too long. It feels right."
Joel smiled at you as you speak
“Let’s just make it a small party, with our loved at your gallery, the same place you asked me to marry you. I mean, just think about this at evening under the candlelight’s, just us and our friends, our families…I can wear a sheet” you joked
Joel stood up from his chair and walked towards you, laying on the couch. He chuckled; his eyes filled with love. "You could wear a sheet, and you'd still be the most beautiful woman in the room." He sat down beside you, wrapping his arms around your legs, placing them over his lap.
"Alright, let's do it. A small, intimate celebration at the gallery next month," he agreed, pressing a soft kiss over your belly "I can't wait to call you mom, my wife."
“Oh stop! I don’t want you to his favorite” you scoffed.
Joel chuckled, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on your belly. "Well, I can't help it. You're going to be the most amazing mom, and you're already my favorite. But let's not argue about that now; we have a wedding to plan."
And that’s how the month slipped away, an in the days leading up to the wedding, the small gallery buzzed with activity as friends and family helped transform the space into an intimate setting for the celebration. With the support of Lily, with all the arrangements and catering, the preparations flowed smoothly, and soon, the gallery become into a place full of soft lights, floral arrangements around. It looked so different, yet so familiar for you.
You were at you flower shop with Lily and your mother helping you to fix your hair. “I can’t believe this is happening”
Letting out a soft laugh, Lily came to stand right next to you in front of the mirror. With your wedding dress on accentuating your belly, you looked like a princess to the eyes of your best friend, as both of your eyes looked in the mirror.
“You and Joel are made for each other, don’t worry” she said, kissing you on your temple in a supportive way.
“I’m wearing converse” you laughed,
Lily chuckled, sharing in your laughter. "Well, that's just adding a touch of your personality to the princess look. I'm sure Joel will love it."
Your mother joined in, adjusting a strand of your hair with a gentle smile. "Sweetheart, you look absolutely beautiful. Joel is a lucky man."
Blushing at their words, you couldn't help but feel a wave of gratitude for the people surrounding you. The small gallery wedding, with its unique charm, felt like the perfect choice for the celebration of your love and the impending arrival of your little one.
And that was how, under the soft glow of the gallery lights, surrounded by the beauty of art pieces and the people you and Joel loved, you made your way to the gallery, nervous yet feeling with anticipation, and you couldn't wait to see Joel's reaction. Lily, acting as both a bridesmaid and the wedding coordinator, ensured everything ran smoothly.
The moment you entered the gallery, Joel's eyes lit up with admiration and love. The soft lights, the fragrance of flowers, and the presence of friends and family created a magical ambiance just out of a fairy tale.
Joel stood at the makeshift altar, his eyes never leaving you as you approached. As you stood face to face, surrounded by the art that had witnessed your journey, the air was filled with a quiet air. The soft lights accentuated the love and commitment in Joel's eyes, and the background faded away as you took his hand, facing him with tears shimmering in his eyes.
“Dear friends and family,” the priest began when everyone had settled and the room became silent. “We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate these two souls coming together in love and commitment," the priest continued, his words filling space. "We are not only witnesses to a union of two people but also to the beginning of a new family, a family that is bound by love, nurtured by trust, and destined for a future filled with joy”
You and Joel stood before the makeshift altar, hands clasped together, your gazes locked in a moment that felt timeless. The priest's words carried a weight that resonated with the significance of the occasion.
"As we stand amidst the beauty of art and the company of loved ones," the priest continued, "let us remember that love, like the art surrounding us, is an expression of the human experience. It evolves, grows, and becomes more beautiful with time."
Joel squeezed your hand gently, his eyes never leaving yours. The priest's words seemed to fade into the background as you and Joel shared your own language, encapsulated in the love that had brought you to this point.
"Now," the priest said, bringing your attention back to the ceremony, "let us exchange the vows”
Joel began, his voice steady and filled with emotion. "Bee, my love, from the moment you entered my life, everything changed. You brought a warmth and light that I never knew I needed. You've been my rock, my support, and my greatest joy."
He paused, taking a deep breath, a small smile gracing his lips. "I promised myself that I would never fall in love again, but then you appeared, and I couldn't resist. Now, as we stand here surrounded by our loved ones, I want to thank you for being by my side, for sharing in the highs and lows, and for making every day brighter. Now, as we embark on this journey together, I promise to stand by you, to cherish and support you, and to love you and our baby with all my heart."
He took another deep breath, his eyes never leaving yours. "I promise to be your partner in all things, to celebrate your triumphs and lift you up in your challenges. With this ring, I seal my commitment to you, and I look forward to a lifetime with you by my side”
As Joel finished his vows, a tear glistened in his eye, displaying all his emotions.
And now, as it was your moment to talk, you took a moment, looking into Joel's eyes, feeling the weight of the promises you were about to make. Your heart swelled with love and gratitude for this man who had become your everything.
"Joel," you laughed, shaking "as we stand here today, surrounded by the love of our friends and family, I can't help but reflect on the journey that brought us to this moment. In those days when we were more like enemies than partners” you both laughed at the memory “little did I know that the intricate patterns of your life would soon weave into mine”
You took a deep breathe “Today, I stand before you not just as your partner but as someone who recognizes how important you are to me. Our love story is not a conventional one, and that's what makes it extraordinary”
As you spoke, the gallery seemed to fade away, leaving only you and Joel in this sacred moment. "I promise to support you in your dreams and passions, to be your refuge in difficult times, and to find joy in the simple moments we share."
A gentle smile touched your lips as you continued, "With this ring, I promise to choose you every day, to laugh with you in times of joy, and to hold you in times of sorrow. Together, let's build a life filled with love and adventures”
As you held his hand into yours, both of you were crying and shaking, the priest spoke with solemnity, "Having witnessed the unique and beautiful love that Bee and Joel share, and having heard their heartfelt vows, it is my honor to declare them husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride”
As the priest pronounced you both married, a wave of joy and applause filled the gallery. Joel gently cupped your face, his eyes still shimmering with emotion, and he leaned in to press a tender kiss against your lips. The room erupted in cheers, and the soft glow of the gallery lights seemed to intensify, creating a magical atmosphere around the happy couple.
As the night unfolded in a joyous celebration of your newlywed status, the gallery transformed into a dance floor. The soft lights and laughter of friends and family created an atmosphere of pure happiness. You and Joel swayed together, with you resting your head on his chest as he kept leading the dance relishing in the music.
“This is the first time we dance like this” he said, placing his chin over your head as his hands pulled you in by your hips.
“This won’t be the last” you replied, enjoying the embrace as you both continued to dance.
However, as the night progressed, you started to feel an unfamiliar sensation, a tightness in your belly that came and went. At first, you dismissed it as part of the excitement you were feeling, but as the contractions persisted, you realized this was more than just a normal discomfort.
You excuse yourself to go to the bathroom, taking lily with you in the way. It was there when the scared face of Lily made you to look down, seeing a puddle between your feet.
Your eyes widened in realization, and what it was a joyous atmosphere changed. Lily’s face mirrored your own worry as you both understood what this meant.
"Lily, did...Did my water just broke?" you mumbled, trying to stay calm.
Lily, ever reliable and quick-thinking, took charge. "Okay, we need to get you to the hospital. Don't worry, Bee. Everything will be fine."
Joel, sensing that something was amiss, approached the two of you with concern etched on his face. Lily quickly filled him in, "Joel, we need to head to the hospital. Bee's water broke.”
“What?!” he exclaimed “She is not even nine months”
“Well, Joel, I think Rowan might be making an early entrance." In a strained and breathy voice.
The unexpected turn of events brought a mix of shock and concern to Joel's face. He took a deep breath, his hands trembling slightly as he processed the information.
"Okay, okay," Joel said, his voice a blend of worry and determination. "Let's get her to the hospital. We've got this.” He paused a little “Lily can you take care of all this, while I drive Bee to the hospital?”
Lily nodded in response to Joel's request, her quick and organized nature kicking in. "Of course, Joel. I'll handle things here. You focus on getting Bee to the hospital."
Joel gently guided you towards the car, the worry in his eyes softened by a reassuring smile. "Hang in there, Bee. We're going to meet Rowan a bit earlier than expected."
As the car pulled away from the gallery, Joel held your hand, the warmth of his touch providing a comforting anchor amidst the unexpected turn of events. The city lights passed in a blur as he navigated through the streets, his focus solely on getting you to the hospital safely.
"I can't believe this is happening," you whispered, in middle the chaos and anticipation feelings consuming you.
Joel stole a glance at you, his eyes reflecting both concern and love. You weren’t solely focus on Joel but you knew he was just excited as you.
"Rowan likes dramatic entrances, just like their parents. Don't worry, Bee. We'll be at the hospital soon."
“OH MY GOD! I’M GONNA DIE!”
“No, love, you’re fine- “
“YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM FEELING NOW, YOU IDIOT”
This had been the first time Joel had seen the woman in front of her screaming this loud to him, he had been in this situation before when Sarah was going to make her entrance to this world, but this time seeing his Bee hurting, it hurt him even more.
With each contraction, his now wife screamed, squeezing his hand to help her out from the screaming.
“It’s okay,” he said, his voice a steady reassurance. “You’re strong. You can absolutely do this, baby.”
"You're doing great, honey," the doctor reassured. "Just one more push."
As the intensity reached its peak, and you felt like you couldn't endure any longer, Joel squeezed your hand, offering his unwavering support.
"Oh my god, I can’t do this any-" Your sentence was left unfinished as the room was suddenly filled with the piercing cry of a baby, a sound that seemed to echo joy and relief came to you.
The medical team worked swiftly, and as they placed the tiny, wriggling Rowan in your arms, a wave of overwhelming emotions washed over you. The cries of your newborn resonated with the realization that you and Joel had brought a new life into the world.
Joel's eyes were filled with tears of joy as he looked at Rowan on the doctor arms.
The doctor gently placed Rowan in Joel's arms, and he marveled at the tiny, squirming bundle of life. Rowan's cries filled the room, and the doctor offered a warm smile.
"Would you like to hold your baby?" the doctor asked, guiding Joel to bring Rowan closer to you.
Joel carefully handed Rowan over to you, his eyes filled with love and admiration. As you cradled your newborn in your arms, the world seemed to stand still. Rowan's cries softened at the sound of your heartbeat.
While Joel stared at the tiny baby lying in your arms. Rowan's cries eased, and a tremendous sensation of love and protectiveness came over you as you peered down at the little face.
The nurse smiled warmly, "Congratulations. You have a beautiful baby boy." With utmost care, she offered you some privacy, allowing you and Joel to bask in the first moments of parenthood.
Joel, his eyes shimmering with tears, leaned in to admire Rowan. "He's perfect, Bee. Look at him, our little Rowan."
“He loves resting on your chest, just like me” he whispered, his voice filled with awe.
“I have two babies now, and Sarah” you said, caressing Joel’s cheek with your hand.
As you both keep looking at Rowan in your arms, nestled against you, he seemed to sense the love surrounding him.
"He's got your eyes," Joel remarked, his finger gently tracing the outline of Rowan's tiny hand.
You smiled, feeling an overwhelming by love. "And he's got your heart, Joel. We're going to be the best parents for him."
As the realization of your newfound family settled in, Joel pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. "I love you, Bee. Thank you for giving us this beautiful little soul."
Joel kept looking at both of you with awe as his new baby rested on your chest. He took your free hand, gently lifting it to make you look at him.
“Bee, do you remember when you made me promise no to fall in love with you?” he asked.
You chuckled “Yes, why?”
“Now I want you to promise me something” he requested.
You shifted your gaze from Rowan in your arms to Joel's eyes.
"Sure, love," you responded.
"Promise you will never stop loving me," he pleaded.
You beamed at him, "I promise."

Bumps Along the Way
Larissa x Shapeshifter!Reader Pregnant!Reader Pregnant!Larissa
Warnings: Pregnancy struggles, Pregnancy/childbirth, Miscarriages, Mental illness, Swears or curses, Infant Death, Stillborn, PTSD, Panic attacks
A/N: This story is going to be heavy, it deals with real life situations that most don’t understand the pain of. 1 in 4 women will experience this in their lifetime, remember you don’t know everyone's history. Please be kind and I'm sorry if this makes you sob like it did me writing it.
Chapter 1: From the beginning
You and Larissa had been married now for 3 years, life had settled down and you both were extremely happy. Last year the school board decided to build a small 3 bedroom cottage on the school grounds for the headmistress and yourself as you both were longtime teachers and administrators of the school and had no intentions of leaving. You were coming up on your tenth year teaching at Nevermore and Larissa had been here since she was 15, the school, the students, etc.. it was your home. You would still have your old quarters attached to Larissa’s office for on-call nights, but you were ecstatic that you both had a real home on the grounds of your favorite place to be. It was far enough to have a bit of privacy, but close enough that if a student or teacher needed either of you.
As time went on and life settled down the two of you decided that you wanted to start a family, this though turned out to be no easy feat though. After multiple tries and tests, you were losing hope that you would ever get pregnant. You knew that both of you being shapeshifters meant that you wouldn’t have to find a donor or go through IVF, but you didn’t realize all the complications that would follow. Larissa was ecstatic about getting you pregnant, but the more time that passed you could see the saddened look on her face that she tried to hide with every negative test. After four months of negative tests, you decided to see an outcast OBGYN. After several tests you learned that your egg count was very low and the possibility of becoming pregnant was very slim. You were prescribed a various amount of medications, shots and hormones to take to hopefully assist you in your journey.
Larissa was the most kind and patient wife to you, supporting you through it all, giving you your shots while you cried every night and holding you after whispering sweet praises into your hair of how well you did. She kept a diary of your temperatures and cycles and finally after three months you two cried at the positive test setting on the counter. You were finally pregnant. You kept the pregnancy quiet not wanting to tell anyone until you knew the gender. The weeks went by and everything was going to plan, spending your evening curled up in her embrace on the sofa or bed adding things together to your pinterest boards. You had decided on a soft yellow nursery minimalist theme with little touches of gray here and there. As you approached your 20 week scan you were booming with excitement, you were halfway to meeting your little one, everything had gone so well and you found out that you were having a girl! You had painted the nursery and bought a beautiful teak wood crib and matching rocking chair. A soft yellow changing table was placed in the corner of the room, and hung above it was a sign that said “Baby Weems”. You had a soft yellow dresser next to it filled with onesies, diapers and all the other bits you would need. Larissa spent many evenings working on all the little things while you sat in the rocker watching her, cradling your bump and smiling. You had so much love for your unborn baby, and so did Larissa. The sweet little kisses to your bump and the way she talked to the baby were so lovely and gentle.
After dinner you two had decided on an early night, you had enjoyed a wonderful Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken and feta cheese (your new craving) and decided to take a nice hot shower together before climbing in bed. Larissa wrapped her arms around you and left small kisses on your neck before pulling you just a smidge closer and drifting off to sleep. But nothing could prepare you for the night that was about to unfold. You woke up to a sharp pain in your lower abdomen and a wet feeling between your legs. You shook Larissa awake and started to cry and shake uncontrollably when she turned on the bedside lamp and sucked in a breath when she saw the crimson stained sheets. Your voice shook as you tried to talk, but were overcome by another sharp pain. “Th-...The baby..” You cried out at her. She was up and out of bed immediately and grabbed you a new set of shorts. “It's okay my love, let's quickly change you out of those wet shorts and we will go straight to the hospital. I'll call doctor Montgomery on our way to meet us. Larissa gently cleaned you up in record time and carried you out to the car wrapped in a blanket. She had pulled you two into the Jericho emergency room lot in record time, picking you up as you cried out in pain and all but ran through the doors. Your doctor was waiting in the lobby for you and had a wheelchair ready. Your mind was spinning and you held your belly with one hand and Larissa’s with the other as you were rushed up to Labor and delivery.
The nurses tried to help you change, but you wouldn’t let them, you didn't want anyone to touch you but Larissa. She helped you change into a gown and they started an IV of fluids on you as your doctor did an ultrasound. During the process you felt a gush of fluid between your legs and your eyes went wide and you could only cry harder. Larissa held you as you kept a death grip onto her. When Dr. Montgomery spoke, you sobbed your heart out and Larissa couldn’t hold herself together anymore. “I’m so sorry Mrs. Weems… There is no heartbeat.” The words sounded like venom to your ears and before you could even speak a contraction ripped through your body, leaving you with a hoarse scream. Y/n I need to see how far dilated you are okay? Baby is too big so we're going to have to do this the old fashion way okay. “No!... I'm not ready!” You sobbed as she put on a pair of gloves and maneuvered your legs for you, you buried your face into Larissa’s chest. “Sweetheart you are already at 9cm, unfortunately we can't give you anything for the pain right now as you are too far progressed.” She looked at Larissa with a sorrowful expression as you writhed in pain. “I’ll be back in just a moment.” She excused herself to let the nurses know what was going on and that they were going to need extra support. By the time she got back into the room you were in full blown tears and squeezing Larissa’s hand for support. The nurses started to quietly come into the room without you noticing. The doctor whispered something to Larissa and she nodded, helping you sit up slightly as she lowered the back of the bed a bit. Larissa toed off her shoes and jacket and slid in behind you legs draped over the sides of the bed you could sit back against her and she could wrap you in an embrace.
You calmed only slightly in her hold. You were too zoned out in pain and mental exhaustion to realize the doctor checking you and putting your feet up in the stirrups. “Y/N its time to start pushing sweetheart” Dr. Montgomery said, lightly tapping your leg to get your attention. You looked up at Larissa with tears falling down your face. “I can’t do this” you spoke in a strangled cry. “My love you can, listen to your body it will guide you.” Your wife spoke softly through her own tears. As if on cue your body took over and you pushed with all you had in you. After two more pushes you felt your body relax and a tiny baby wrapped lightly in a blanket was put on your chest into your arms. You cried harder than you ever have before. Looking down at your baby now earthside and heavenside all at once. Larissa’s arms never releasing your hold as you trailed a finger down the baby’s tiny cheek. You felt another pain that wasn’t as bad as before and something released from your body. The nurses cleaned you up and helped you change into a new gown, never letting your baby leave your arms. The doctor told Larissa to take all the time you needed with her, and they dimmed the lights and left the room giving you some privacy.
Larissa had now shifted next to you and you were curled up in her arms, both of you cradling your tiny baby. She held the baby’s tiny hand with her fingers, softly stroking it. “We are going to be okay, my love.” She whispered to you. You spent 4 hours with your sweet, tiny little girl before the nurses came in and told you it was time. You cried silently into Larissa’s chest when they took her away. She let her tears fall into your hair as she held you. Two days later you went home, with no baby. You felt empty and lost. The funeral was tomorrow and you didn’t know how you were going to handle it. The time came and went and upon arriving back at your home you both were shocked to see your front yard and steps decorated with cards and flowers from what you could believe was from every student at nevermore. You silently let a few tears go, as did Larissa. Walking in to your home you noticed a card on your counter. Opening it you read the familiar cursive.
“The fridge and freezer are stocked with enough meals for several weeks. We all love you, take all the time you need, your Nevermore family will be here when you need us. -Much Love, Marilyn”

part 3 - part 5
sweetest devotion masterlist here
please don’t be late for the banquet.
was the last thing elena saw flashing from mason’s phone.
mason had never voiced out his inner frustration towards this whole one big mess they—including serena—were involved in, but elena knew better than the deep, resigned sighs mason let out just now. or every time he’d gotten a glimpse of serena’s name from his phone, which was rather often due to her tenacity to keep posting about her whereabout. or whenever someone brought up the sore topic of his (faux) marriage.
it still irked her that she still couldn’t have mason entirely, body and soul, despite living together for almost a season now. despite having him physically by her side almost 24/7, except on days he had to leave for practices and matches. now she had to have him apart for the formal banquet at the embassy of eldorra, as a consequence of marrying the country’s only princess.
I know, I know, elena groaned inwardly. it was only a night, but elena had to see pictures of mason and serena being a couple everyone dreams of plastered all over the news and social media posts by tomorrow morning. it might not be the married couple’s intention but surely the palace would love to blast how wonderful their marriage turned out to be, fanning the “ridiculous” gossips of the couple nobody saw coming. aka the bun in the oven.
elena couldn’t take it—heck, she never could. she would always play hard to get, yes, but it was solely for mason’s eyes. she’d never guess it’d backfire on herself, playing the jealousy card.
the mere thoughts of people fawning over their visuals would already drive her insane because she knew—god, did she know—that elena and mason would’ve smashed every other visual couples. she was a model, for god’s sake, and he was the teenage-heartthrob footballer.
the temptation to just wreck the banquet was already sitting on top of elena’s head, if it wasn’t for the fact that her career she’d so hard been building was at stake. because no matter what, she was up against a princess, a monarchy figure loved by her people, a respectable woman in the eyes of the world. of course elena would be the one everyone would throw tomatoes at, should she come out and expose the real deal.
heck, she couldn’t even tell a single soul because of it. no matter how supportive her friends are, elena would be on the short end of the sticks. they’d call out elena a crazy lady and tell her to stop deluding herself because her ex—from their point of view—was no longer available in the market. that elena was taking her grief and regret of losing mason way too harsh.
“don’t go,” elena would always beg him to stay behind, whenever mason was walking out of the door towards serena’s direction. be it picking up his fresh set of clothes—for whatever reason elena could never understand because he could’ve moved in all his stuffs—or be it for his monthly baby check-up.
tonight was no exception.
and mason would always answer, “you know I’ll be back soon, baby.”
but what if he never did? would elena still be able to stand time and place in this lifetime?
fuck’s sake, elena sobbed in frustration that she almost threw mason’s favourite choice of liquor from her hand to the nearest wall. what did she do to deserve this?
right, you broke mason’s heart and led him to serena.
*✿❀○❀✿**✿❀○❀✿**✿❀○❀✿*
mason would be lying if he said his jaw didn’t fall onto the floor the moment serena stepped out of her room—his old guest room, mostly occupied by ben chilwell whenever he was over at mason’s—wearing a floor length tulle gown. one he’d recognised from the latest collection of the palace’s favourite designer, ellie saab.
serena, magically without even touching him, had no problem making his acting job tonight go smooth as silk.
call him shallow for all he cared, mason could feel his withstanding great wall of china he’d built around himself crumbling apart at the sight. and that should only mean a big fat red flag for him because he wasn’t supposed to feel this way. especially after the insane stunt she pulled weeks ago, endangering herself, the baby, and the identity of their fake marriage the moment she went down to Portsmouth to be by his mother’s side.
but how could he, when the room’s attention shifted to wherever serena went, that he had no choice but to aggravate his own towards his wife, who was now talking to the eldorran ambassador for the UK like they were good friends and not a princess and one of her subjects?
how could he not feel all these supposedly forbidden things when he watched her effortlessly forced everyone else in the room to keep up with her knowledge?
how could he not feel all these supposedly prohibited things when he watched her interacting with several little eldorrans like they were her own children, while looking so magnificently striking without even trying?
a total 180 degrees contrast to her usual garb of either smart pants or loungewear with cardigan wrapped around her. her hair was now clipped neatly into an updo, her make up was rather clean for a formal banquet but still had a dramatic effect around her eyes. her jewelleries could also be considered simple for the title she was bearing.
despite his description on serena going rather humble for her extravagant upbringing, mason had never seen someone who exuded an aura so… composedly dignified. regal. royal. despite his proud acclamation that he had always loved it when a woman knows how to carry herself well, no one was a worthy match to serena thermopolis of eldorra.
it was only then did he realise—again—that he had, indeed, married a princess all along.
the person who was usually silent while busily writing down her recipes and diaries colourfully on his kitchen counter—only talking whenever he asked her a question or whenever she wanted to report her whereabouts or whenever the baby’s concerned. even then, she’d cut down her replies to no more than 10 words in a sentence—was no more than an exterior she’d only put up whenever she was around.
slowly things dawned on him, especially scenes from weeks ago at the hospital. she certainly wasn’t silent if she could get along with his family.
“how are you settling into the married life, your highness?”
her smile was still plastered in her face prettily, albeit the strained edges of her eyes. “I have a wonderful husband right here,” as if on cue, mason stepped in closer to her and held her gently by the waist. they weren’t supposed to show affections in public but for some unbeknownst reason, mason wanted to. “I think it’s rather how he’s settling into the married life with me.”
was this how serena had always been, witty underneath the cold, calm beauty?
“we can’t actually believe it at first, the calm princess got married before her brothers,” another one spoke up, and mason could feel serena tensing at the implied gossip around the ton. in some fucked up way, it reminded him of the time they shared a ride home from Portsmouth, when she was left frozen at the sight mason losing his head.
was she scared of him?
“when you know a princess loves you with all her heart,” mason instinctively took the wheel, silently thanking heavens he paid attention to the short course on media play and handling Chelsea had prepared for their players. “what’s stopping you to marry her?”
while mason titled his head down to spare serena a glance, the woman’s vision remained locked to the honourable guests in front of her, a smaller smile etched on her face this time.
was he that blind to her being afraid of him?
or was it something else that he did?
who is serena thermapolis, anyway?
*✿❀○❀✿**✿❀○❀✿**✿❀○❀✿*
mason couldn’t sleep afterwards. he’d trashed left and right to find a comfortable position or a cold surface of his sheet, he’d woken up every one or two hours on top of that.
unfortunately, mason knew it was not because of the ethereal sight of his wife cascading throughout the ballroom, impressing and charming everyone else while also impressing mason at her ability to divert the guests’ piqued curiosity of their marriage.
it was because it had been a while since the last time he’d occupied his bed. funny how he said his bed this time around, as if he’d gone back to Portsmouth and his mother told him his old bedroom was still available for him.
but as extreme urgent poundings grazed his door before he could drift himself to sleep, mason had never felt so lucky to be sleepless.
he immediately jumped off the bed, thinking nothing but grabbing his phone to call the police. he’d pressed the device already to his ear, ready to rant off about the intruder to his house. “serena?”
he called for his wife-on-paper not to make sure if it was her crazy antics, but it was because he wanted to make sure she was safe instead. and when his calls were only met by silence, he’d never dashed off for the stairs faster than that instance.
however, it turned out it was rather mason’s problem not catching on her voice. firstly because her room was downstairs, secondly because it slipped his mind that serena had never been brought up to raise her voice. because she was already standing at the doorframe, facing whoever had the lunatic guts to disturb his home so late into the night.
mason ran faster towards her direction because there was no way she was facing a criminal on her own, without protection or safety gears or whatsoever, as if it was her friends coming over to surprise her at midnight. “serena!”
but before he could reach her, serena had flown all the way across the porch from a well-placed, strong punch. before he could process what was happening, serena had sat up, holding her face with a hand while her other hand was holding her weight.
“what else do you want?”
before he could ask what she meant by that, a familiar figure launched herself towards serena like a tiger pouncing on her prey. “I told you before to leave mase alone!”
elena?
“and I will tell you over and over again to leave mase alone!”
mason couldn’t believe the scene unravelling before his very own eyes. like soap operas, the hidden lover kept hitting on the wife set up for him—grabbing the pregnant woman by the hair, launching slaps on her face, shoved her to the ground brutally while throwing cuss words at here every time the mistress relented her anger towards her.
was this what it felt like, when his favourite actor played out a scene where he died out other noises and people and surroundings because he couldn’t think anymore?
after what felt like an eternity, the scene where elena kicked a crouching serena, left and right endlessly, was what snapped him back to reality. that’s a pregnant lady, for god’s sake!
“leave,” mason stepped in between the two ladies, covering serena’s cowering figure with his body. as soon as his hands went around serena’s sides, he could feel her protecting her belly and mason had never felt so much anger emitting from his inside. “while I’m still nice.”
“mason—”
“I said, leave,” still wrapping his body around serena’s, mason mustered the coldest, meanest intonation as if it was his weekly battle on the pitch. “which part of the word that’s hard for you to understand?”
elena stood towering both mason and serena, yet she was the one that appeared small and scared. “mase—”
“leave!” mason had never shouted at a woman before but morality and courtesy were the last things on his mind right now. “I fucking told you to leave!”
“mason…” his lover whimpered, trying to reach for mason but the man only shook her hands away and stood up, looming over her this time as he pushed her off his property. “surely you’re mistaken, we can talk about this—”
in every of mason’s step forward was a step backwards for elena. in every of mason’s fuming step was elena’s panic spew of her so-called justification behind her actions. and before long, the man had pushed her off the edge of his home.
“if you come here again, I will not hesitate to call the police. you got me?”
next update:
“I need you to be honest with me, serena,” mason didn’t waste another breath after the doctor stepped away from her room. “the doctor said next time. when was the first time?”
“remember that one week you thought I went missing?”

In this one, I decided to play a little more with the Get Famous expansion pack, while giving some twists and turns to create a fun little narrative to follow along. Broken, but not beyond repair...
I never imagined that at 45, having been married 24 years, and having spent 29 years in that same relationship, that I would be working through a divorce. I have worked in the legal field helping others through their divorces for 27 years. The story of how I got here is not for all to know and certainly not something to share like this. It’s a story that affects many and, while their story is part of mine, that does not mean I have a right to air it all out.
A big part of my story began when I was 16. I had no clue who I was, where I was going, what I wanted to be, I was just a baby and knew one thing... I wanted out of where I was and I knew there had to be something better. What happened from here many would call a fairy tale. Much of it seemed that way. But as with any relationship, it had its problems, ups and downs. I’ve learned a lot in my life, most of it the hard way. As with any relationship, we both could have and should have done better, worked harder for it. Life gets exhausting and people change. And while we can't change people or stop them from changing, we CAN control what we tolerate and how we respond to what’s in front of us.
The last 3 years have been the toughest 3 years of my life. It’s been trying on our family. That’s a story and testimony for another blog... when the time is right. Trauma affects our whole story and the stories of those closest to us and sometimes it even branches out further than that. As Pastor Mike Todd has said, “what you don’t transform, you transfer.” Before you start a relationship, you should know your own identity or you will take on that of others and try to make them your own. Process your own trauma. You can't expect a good relationship if you don’t feel you can share your trauma because you've never faced it head on and you try to pretend it never happened. Get comfortable with yourself so that you can be vulnerable without fear of shame or embarrassment. It's hard to help someone through their trauma if you've never addressed your own. Faking it only causes bitterness, anger, anxiety, depression, stonewalling etc. and just as you can't control someone or change others, you can’t control their healing either, and you certainly won't help them when you ignore your own hurt. One thing I wish for every human, and I am still working on, is that we could all master the art of good communication. Listening more, talking less. Communicating expectations so assumptions don't leave one hurt unnecessarily. Sometimes a person just needs to know they are heard.
I've made poor choices, I'll continue to make poor choices. But I'm going to strive each day to make better choices. I'm going to try starting fresh and this time around, NOT do things out of order. I'm going to stay firm and grounded in Christ, so much that it spews out in everything I do and I will not be ashamed or embarrassed of what that looks like. I will love so hard that it makes others wonder where it comes from and plants a seed to be watered that has them seeking the Lord because they need that kind of joy in their life. I will forgive more as I also need forgiven and holding onto that seed of offense only allows a root of bitterness to grow. Life is painful. Words hurt. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and it takes a lifetime of practice. Out of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45), which is why we need to check our hearts before we speak.
Regret.... without the poor decisions I've made, I may never have come to know who I am, I wouldn't have some of the greatest things and experiences that I have had. While I have regret for any harm I may have done to others, and I am sad and even disappointed in myself for the way I have handled some things, I am not sure I would wish for things to have been different. In a perfect world, sure, but we live in a broken world and I'm going to pray that God will continue to make beauty from my ashes, even from the dumpster fires that I caused or fanned into flame. What I CAN do is, instead of focusing on what I did wrong or could have done better... repent, turn, start new, fresh, and try harder to simply be a better reflection of Christ today than I was yesterday. I know I will never regret following Him.
So, excuse me while I heal. It looks different for everyone and while this seems like a new life event as social media and public appearances paint a pretty picture, it may not be as fresh as the picture was painted. I'll likely not be on social media for a while other than to share an occasional Word from God with a picture of my coffee. I trust that those closest to me will reach out personally and directly. My profiles have my contact info in them. God is good, even when we aren't. Trust the process. Be willing to be refined in the fire. I promise, eternity with Christ is worth it. I was reading a few months ago in Isaiah and shared the following on social media:
“Studying this morning and as I hit Isaiah 38 and 39, I praised God for His reminder of the importance of humility, the dangers of pride, and that our actions have consequences. But most importantly, that EVEN when I suffer consequences, EVEN when things seem to go badly, EVEN in the midst of suffering... I will praise my God and thank Him for His love, correction, and grace. For His ways are higher than mine. Who am I to criticize His divine direction.”
I know who I am now. I am the daughter of the King Most High, a co-heir with Christ. I am chosen, forgiven, treasured, sought, beautiful, strong, flawless, never forsaken. I am His.

So I love She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. It is beautiful, and I adore both how it handles relationships and redemption. No relationship is a perfect fairytale, but a plate of spaghetti; messy but wonderful. And redemption can come to anyone, as long as you’re willing to work for it. And sometimes it takes a lifetime and sometimes you aren’t forgiven, and all of that is okay. (Once Upon A Time also does it in an exemplary fashion with Regina Mills, who may’ve been the blueprint for complicated redemption in modern television.)
Anyway, I love the show, and its relationships, and today I’m doing…
ANGEL’S TOP 5 SHE-RA SHIPS!!
5. Scorfuma (Scorpia x Perfuma)
This ship is so wholesome. It is a huge refresher in SPOP; yes, like I said, the relationships here are worthwhile, but also difficult. Scorfuma is not that ship. It’s a beautiful femme lesbian falling in love at first sight with a magnificent butch lesbian. Another reason I love SPOP is because it subverts character stereotypes; Scorpia is butch as all hell and I wish she were real, because she is soft, sensitive, kind and sweet. Perfuma is assertive, self-confident, speaks her mind and does whatever she thinks is right regardless of what others think. (Although, she’s far from perfect and I don’t like how she treats Entrapta for a lot of the series.) Perfuma sees Scorpia for the wonderfully good person she is, and she falls in love with Scorpia for it. They are similar people, in which they’re both kind and sweet, but they are also noticeably different people. My mom says that a couple cannot be too similar or too different otherwise they won’t work, and Scorfuma is a perfect example of her wisdom.
4. Spinnetossa (Spinnerella x Netossa)
Spinnetossa should be every married couple’s endgame. I am sad that they didn’t get more screentime or lines, because they have the ideal marriage (next to the Addamses from The Addams Family and the Belchers from Bob’s Burgers and every marriage counselor should have these three couples in their waiting rooms as the couples to be like). This is a couple who loves and respects each other, and who are (rightfully, hehe) obsessed with each other. My favorite thing about them is their devotion to each other - as much as they wanna save the universe and magic, they are each other’s primary goal. They want to be together and want to keep each other safe and happy above all else. My favorite moment is where Spinnerella wins their bot-slaying contest and instead of getting annoyed, Netossa happily kisses her wife and calls her “my girl”. MELT LIKE 🧊 BABY!
3. Seamista (Mermista x Sea Hawk)
Oh my. If Spinnetossa are obsessed with each other, then Seamista is the definition of insanity. Sea Hawk is not immune to the flaws of Mermista, he loves her for all she is and celebrates her, singing her praises and building her up even if it just seems like silly simping (need me a person like that). Mermista is not immune to the positives of Sea Hawk even if she doesn’t act like it. She knows him to be a moral, kind, devoted, loving, caring and affectionate man, and shows it accordingly even if it seems to annoy her. (If it really did, you think they’d be a couple? 😉 ) She loves him, and I hate how people say she’s abusive to him. If their genders were flipped, it would be the definition of the gentle girl, brooding boy trope. Mermista has a whole kingdom (a crumbling one as she adds) on her shoulders, it would get to anyone! She appreciates Sea Hawk for sticking by and loving her, and they obviously care about each other very much.
2. Glimbow (Glimmer x Bow)
Glimbow is childhood friends turned romantic partners done RIGHT! Originally, I didn’t see it, but the hints were always there and they weren’t hints. They are legitimately friends but imo every good romantic relationship begins with and maintains friendship as the base. They go through hell together, with the loss of their parents (which Bow finds his and Glimmer finds hers, but for awhile, they’re alone together), an invasion and attack caused by Glimmer, and regaining magic in the universe. This ship shows that apologizing and working towards forgiveness is important part of any relationship. Glimmer will do anything to fix her mistake, and Bow forgives her because he loves her for every part of her, and deep down knows her guilt will always be the price she pays for that mistake. I love this ship for these reasons.
1. Entrapdak (Entrapta x Hordak)
My favorite ship in SPOP and it is above and beyond an ideal relationship for me. Like Glimbow, they were friends before they were lovers, but they wholeheartedly accept each other from the get-go. It isn’t about accepting flaws and positives - Entrapta sees Hordak as beautiful and wonderful because of his imperfections and she adores all of that in him, while Hordak worships Entrapta (oh you know he does) because she is the first person to accept him so readily for who he is. Not as a clone or a tool, as a person. He accepts her autism and immediately knows how brilliant and creative she is. They are constantly on each other’s minds as each other’s best friends, and they fall in love because of their imperfections. Just how they like it.
