I noticed while walking around with Xiao that he just — he just has his mask on?? At first I thought it was just him in his ideal animation or something and stopped to let him take it off, and even minutes later he STILL HAD IT ON. Switched with my other characters and then back to him and STILL WEARING THAT MASK. Jumped and smacked things to hopefully trigger the mask away and nope, still there.

Me, August 2023: i hate VTLL and i hate writing it, but I feel guilty for dragging it out for so long and giving up right when season 8 writing started happening. lemme publish something and make y/n get a dream that foreshadows the finale episode and title it: “Part Forty One: Sacrifice or Die” to scare readers 😼

Me, May 2024: huh, someone keeps commenting on VTLL on Wattpad and I keep getting emails. Lemme check it out. I should probably finish writing it, I’m so close. omg wait, lemme upload on ao3 and quotev too!! OH and i can bookbind it like i’ve been seeing on tiktok!!!!!! wait i should edit it beforehand.

Me, August 2024: I grinded these last few parts, even though I don’t love VTLL at all. Oh well. It’s done on Wattpad—47 parts, some side stories, and 7 years later—hooray. Maybe I’ll write an epilogue. I don’t really care about this fic anymore, it’s way too cringey yikes. whatta shame cause i love VLD :/

Me, December 2024: huh, I can’t figure out what to do with my WIP or Batman fanfic, but I really wanna write something :( but i don’t want to start something new waittttt hehehehe, I'm gonna return to VLD and revamp my VTLL fanfic oh, what if I rewrite VTLL’s first few chapters? And then I won’t cringe anymore? what could possibly happen?
