I really enjoy the concept of soft merthur.

After another really exhausting day and constant disapproving glances from his father Arthur is just so tired physically and emotionally. So he walks down the halls and everyone on his way is bowing to him and just generally treating him like royalty (as they should) and Arthur knows it's how it should be, but he's just so sick of it. And then he walks into his chambers and there is this idiot of a manservant who has never once cared for his rank. Maybe Merlin turns to him and jokes, trying to make Arthur smile. And Arthur's just breaks. He says 'Merlin' softly, maybe walks to him. So Merlin immediately senses that something is wrong, but he just hugs him. Cradles his head, rocks him gently, says 'shhh, its okay Arthus'.

And Arthur feels so much better.

Me, an intellectual: there WAS a way for Odysseus and crew to get past Scylla without one crew member dying. They previously had a bunch of Sirens at their mercy, so if they so wished, they could have used six sirens to satisfy Scylla’s price.

Halloween prompts year 2 day 28

Thomas stared down at Bruce-no- Danny as he led him by the hand toward what he had dubbed as his "Secret Lair" which was just an old fall out shelter in the woods that had been well hidden and forgotten about. The door to it was old and still buried under years of dirt and plant growth, requiring Danny to phase them into it which made Thomas wonder how his grandson had found it in the first place.

Inside was surprisingly high tech. "You have a secret lair filled with all this equipment but don't have any weapons or armor?" Thomas asked, making mental preparations to fix that.

Danny sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck and explained his only allies were two other 14 year olds who were also untrained, unarmed, unarmored, and unsuper-powered which would explain why Danny was so excited to be working with an adult vigilante who at least knew what they were doing.

The kid didn't even mind when some of his more evil or harmful rogues "stopped showing up" thankfully no one would really question the reclusive Vlad Masters "going back to Wisconsin" only to never be seen again. No one saw much of him before coming to Amity Park, it made since he would become a hermit again once he had his fill of human interaction.

And if hes later found dead in his cheese castle? Well, the body had decomposed too much to really say what killed him. His will left everything to a Daniel James Fenton/Daniel James Masters which visibly infuriated Danny. Thomas mentally patted himself on the back. It was a good call to get rid of that one. The will was a surprise, though one that can only benefit Thomas in his crusade of protecting his grandson. Its not like he can return to a timeline that no longer exists anyway.

Unfortunately this doesn't stop the bats from hearing about "Batman" operating in a city in Illinois for the past few months...

Celebrimbor and Maeglin are such a good pairing, whether romantic or platonic. They're both nerds, smiths, and like to be underground. They're both black sheep of their families, Tyelpë for rejecting them and Maeglin for being half dark elf. They both have issues living in their fathers' shadow, and trying to choose what to honor and what to disavow. They've both been hurt terribly by the Dark Lords, one broke under this torment, and one resisted until the end. One is the traitor, one was betrayed.

They have so much potential together, so much angst, yes, but also the comfort they can find in their own shared experiences. They can understand each other in ways many other people cannot. They both need a shoulder to lean on and one to cry on, and I think they would fill that role perfectly for each other.

Kotoko's manipulation was so scary. She literally broke Es down then started comforting them as if she didn't just make them question their own self.

The fact that she used her genuine intentions (her intentions to calm Es down, making the system think she's not planning any harm to the guard) to her advantage is what makes this scene more eerie.

"Im... a kind person?" OH BABY 😭😭 UGH THIS LINE HURTS SO BAD CUZ IT IMPLIES THAT ES DOESN'T BELIEVE IN THEIR OWN KINDNESS/GENEROSITY

I really tried to make the scene capture Es's distress and how morbid (is that the word?) the moment is!

from an outsider's view, the moment looks like a person comforting another person through their mental breakdown; but with context, this scene shows how truly manipulating Kotoko was to Es during their breakdown orrr it can also work as a way to show Es fell for her manipulation in the beginning. It can also be implied as a way to show how manipulation can work!

Of course, I dont truly think that Kotoko doesn't care for Es. Im sure she does in her own way. However, I do think this scene highlights a bit about her true nature! It not only shows how manipulative she can be but also shows how far she is willing to go to get what she wants! It's sick but thats just what it is 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
