So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.

Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.

Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.

However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.

In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.

Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.

The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.

Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.

but uhh in short: Z is a 13 y/o boy that the strawhats meet on a small island. he strangely looks like younger ace which startled luffy. but at some point, they grew a brotherly bond. Z had always played the older sibling role to other children suffering as much as he was. so he kind of needed an older sibling to look up to and learn that it is ok to rely on others- especially if they are willing to offer to lend you a hand. since meeting luffy and his crew, Z was inspired to set out to sea someday and write incredible stories like the books he had read and helped him live on

William James Rowe is... Lorethan "Reth" McKinely! 🍰🌿

Both of them are so, so kind and sweet to others. Will has an engineering degree and has a background as working to be a medic in rescuing people, while Reth himself does quite a bit of his own engineering and learns how to create his own machines and tools to survive outside of the society he lives in. He also ends up having to figure out a way to save a child's life who was badly injured, and ends up eventually adopting her as his own little sister. They both have deep connections to the earth and the environment, and do a lot of work to try to save it from other people's destruction.

They are both a bit unstable emotionally in their own ways, though Will's nervousness and self doubt stim directly from the Eating Louis issue (as well as his betrayal from his past partners, but that's not relevant here). Reth isn't really nervous about a Single Thing and instead has general worries about...almost everything, being easily emotional and wanting to make sure people are safe, but second guessing everything until he becomes overwhelmed.

One thing is for sure that Reth has a leg up on, though, and that's that his society (Katterax) actually...does the whole eating people semi-regularly. It's not done ALL the time, but the fact that drakath bodies are made of shifting substance that is incredibly durable means that they can easily change to be able to be eaten by another and be completely safe through the whole process! It's actually something done by some especially disabled Drakaths whose bodies cannot easily live outside of specific environments because they can't form the organs that other Drakaths do. While this whole eating process can be done in many ways and for many reasons, it's most commonly done as a way to be close and intimate with another, without it really being sexual (think a form of deeper kissing, cuddling, etc.), so...Reth would not be nearly as phased or worried about Will's issues and honestly would be a bit confused about what the big deal was.

You know Andrea Davenport's intense hatred of her name being mispronounced? It's a particular, notable quirk of her character. This small error brings out the absolute worst in her; in her introductory episode she's much crueller and more of an active bully, enforcing the total social exclusion of Molly, instead of simply self-absorbed and insensitive but ultimately good at heart as she has been since, all because Molly accidentally says her name wrong more than once in their first meeting.

Why? The correct pronunciation of Andrea in her case is the less common one (and therefore seems posher), and less intuitive based on the spelling. It's quite reasonable that someone would say the other pronunciation more than once out of instinct. She can surely intellectually understand that. So why is this such a big issue for her?

Well, a lot of her bad behaviour can be explained by her parents' behaviour. Her father can be selfish and greedy in regards to his business, and while Andrea is spoiled materially and financially, both her parents routinely ignore and emotionally neglect her to pay more attention to their work, social media and image. When she focuses excessively on herself and her reputation, she's directly imitating her two first and most influential role models. Maybe if she makes the family and their brand look good enough, she'll be good enough for them to give her their time. Maybe if she's exactly like them, they'll be more interested in her. They're always interested in themselves, after all.

What if her parents are so neglectful that they can, at least on occasion, accidentally get their own daughter's name wrong?

Imagine an episode about Andrea where Molly is either observing her without her knowledge like in "The Don't-Gooder", or hanging out with her in a normal way, since she is her "best friend" now in Andrea's own words. Andrea is talking to her parents, who are looking at their phones and only half-listening.

Then her mother or father distractedly mispronounces her name, or even calls her a different name like Annie or something. Molly gasps, bracing for how badly Andrea will react. Her parent doing it is far more insulting than a stranger doing it!

But Andrea barely reacts at all. She's stung, dejected, but not angry. Resigned. She doesn't even bring it up. Like this is frequent enough that she doesn't think that her literal parents remembering how to say the name they chose for her or even the name itself would be a guarantee.

She doesn't have much power over her parents. Not the kind that will sway them to meet her basic emotional needs. But as she learned early on in life, thanks to her wealth, beauty and charisma she can exert power over her peers, and later the general public and her fanbase. So she is going to make damn well sure that everyone else refers to her correctly. And if they don't, she'll subject them to the most painful, degrading treatment she can conceive of: being ignored.

Her name thing set the whole plot of the second episode into motion. Can you imagine, after how firmly it was established, the impact on Molly and the audience of Maxwell Davenport saying, "That's nice, Angela" and Andrea's only response being reserved, familiar hurt?

another headcanon moment.. thinking about jackle on this monday evening

he can’t shapeshift like nights or reala but he can imitate the voices/sounds of other nightmarens well (and imitate nightopians which is useful not only for hunting but also just because it’s funny to him) (he also can’t dualize or drill dash- it would probably be hard with a cape anyway lol)

stores all his Trinkets™️ in his cape, there’s like ~1000 years of stuff in there. somehow he can still find anything he needs in there and nobody knows how

(it’s basically just stuff he finds in nightopias that he likes— he likes currency a lot and has a bunch from different places/times (because people love to dream about money lol))

he can also go in there himself and bring other people in there. he used to work with reala a lot after nights rebelled and they devised a tactic in which he would throw his cape and reala would jump out of it to scare people while jackle got the ideya

(he befriended reala after nights left mainly for societal gain but eventually realized he actually liked having a friend lol, and later on reala kind of adopted him as a sibling siblinghood ended with nights, now jackle is my favorite brother)

(he sort of has those fake friendships with every nightmaren, he forms them because he knows there’s at least something he can get from each of them and everybody knows he’s not sincere about it, including reala)

for a majority of his life he resents being a second level a lot, he doesn’t like other marens knowing it (eventually starts to move past it when he realizes (after wizeman’s defeat) that wizeman kind of hated all of them equally regardless of level ☹️)
