surprisingly a hot take that shouldn't be a hot take at all: stop infantilizing East Asian media or people about diversity
#east asia#genshin impact#had this one friend that every time I would talk about lack of diversity from like an asian picrew or genshin impact would be like#“but the beauty standard is different there!!!!!”#they aren't THAT stupid they can draw a poc character#and the worse part is that they were WHITE arguing with me (ASIAN AS WELL)#“But it was made from a Asian person perhaps they don't know much about diversity?”#(real quote from them btw)

I am mad
Yup!
Bro shut up, she is white - being Latina is not a race, is an not the same as color skin. And she is a second generation immigrant too. So like... this isn't like a Salvadorian person doing a cartoon, is a daughter of Salvadorians... That grew in the USA. Being Latino doesn't mean you aren't white, you can be any race and Latino. Still wouldn't make up for the lack of representation or the existing racism. In the piece of media that's "diverse".
Salvadorian is not a race, LMAO. That's crazy- you think someone from Argentina who is white, is not white cause of their nationality??? Being Latino and having that culture does not equal a race. It's in itself a racist thing. This Latino = Race is terrible, It also comes from the idea of the "You are not Latino because you are not brown", assuming all people from Latino America are brown by default. You know how much has that happen to me? -AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE.
(I'm Latino btw)
I already have an older post about it, but - you can really see the lack of diversity in the show a lot. (Will talk about it even more other day).
Again the main thing you get is MEN, hypersexual skinny queer men (cis). You won't get to see female characters being well written, thought all the season 1 and all the episodes we got rn of season 2. All characters are skinny and similar body types and repetitive design choices. Funny enough, shows that lack of human characters still have better race-coding that helluva. (and well in hazbin you'll get POC characters that are gray, lack all ethic features... even when they are humanoid. So that is great.)
Bro you could, you imagine a character being black and having different textured hair, and you go to hell... AND EVEN THO YOU ARE HUMANOID- your hair became straight and spiky, and you are now a light gray? If you build a world like that... it just seems like the perfect racist excuse to delete ethic features out a POC character because you don't want to draw them. "Not going to a single hint of their race/culture unless it revolves on their death"... If the character became a fucking coin with dot eyes, maybe (not really, shows with no human/humanoid characters still are capable to race-code their characters). But all of these characters are humanoid- why do none of them have their different characteristics? Also, this is about a real person in the real world choosing how to design a character.
This tweet also implies that a black character when they were a life they had ethic features, but lose them when they go to hell. Which is even more fucking stupid.
If a white person with straight hair goes to hell, and their hair remains straight (assuming it has nothing to do with their death), why wouldn't there be black people with textured hair? This is dumb. This goes back to the fucking thing of "No black people in fantasy media", In the same way, it's stupid for fantasy stories to revolve around white people characteristics in fictional species and people in that world- not including all the rest of diverse human characteristics POC people have it's crazy. The biggest problem here is why the fuck all Viv's sinners characters (main characters designed by her) that are supposed to black (or mixed like Alastor) have 0 characteristic. THEY ARE HUMANOID, THEY AREN'T EVEN ABSTRACT OR AN ANIMAL OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. She didn't want to draw that nor change designs, and wanted to justify the whole concept of Alastor even using Voodou.
HOW ARE ALL THE ANGELS THAT VIV WANTS TO BE BLACK (black voice actors specified, or are race specified) HAVE NOTHING??? LIKE HELLO THE 'I'm such a nice angel character girl' HAS SPIKY STRAIGHT HAIR??? SHE IS AN ANGEL AND BLACK, WHY DIDN'T YOU DID HER HAIR TO BE CLOUDS- It's THE EASIEST SHIT YOU COULD’VE DONE.
BOOM! A FUCKING TROLL FROM A KIDS MOVIE WITH DIFFERENT HAIR. BOOM! THE FUNK TROLLS ARE SO EXPLICITLY BLACK CODED.
---
-
Bro, you know this whole thing of people with textured hair have to forcefully straighten their hair or wear wogs to a job... because people consider it ""Unprofessional"" cause racism? The erasure and discrimination of POC people and their features is a problem. That's why it is important to people represent all of those things:
(Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur)
The only reason of why Alas tor is even mixed is purely cause Viv used the Voodou symbols because she thought they were creepy and edgy. It's sucks that all the angels and sinners that are supposed to be black have nothing.

4499: I get where you're coming from but minor coding is just... not a real thing.
Other types of "X coding" you hear people talk about are real things. Queer coding? Absolutely is a real thing. The term is constantly misused by deluded fans who want to force their headcanons as canon and often enters the pitfall of just straight up stereotyping, but before that, queercoding has been and still is a real tool people have used to sneak queerness past conservative corporate censors.
"Minor coding", however? Not a real thing, at all. Shouldn't even be a real necessary thing in the first place– minors aren't a historically oppressed or marginalized group whose representation gets pushed out by corporate conservative censors. A character either is a minor, or isn't. Just about ALL of the traits you may have seen attributed to "minor coding" are traits that many adults can and do have too such as being short, still living with their parents, not drinking alcohol, being a flat-chested woman, and yes even "childlike" appearances and "childlike" behaviors.
The claims that any of these things make a character "minor coded" are rooted in sexism, racism, classism, and/or ableism, and I dare you to name me any other "X makes a character minor-coded" claim that isn't rooted in some form of chauvinism. East Asian women are constantly stereotyped as "looking childlike". Neurodivergent people constantly have their behaviors deemed as "childlike behaviors". It's common in a lot of Eastern cultures for a child to not move out and instead stay with their aging parents to be able to help take care of them, and some people may not be able to move out anyways due to a disability, not being emotionally ready, or being financially dependent.
TLDR: "Minor-coding" is just some stupid fake thing made up by TikTok-brained Twitter Minor hiveminds who want to police what characters people can't make lewd art of because they think they're oppressed by people drawing BakuDeku porn. And all that their "X is minor coded because Y" claims do is unwittingly infantilize women, POC, neurodivergent and disabled/handicapped people, and possibly more.
Posting since this is a response to a previous problem.

of note:
There's only 2 seasons thus far, with a third on the way, as it's written and illustrated by one person as a passion project
Most of the best stuff comes about in season 2, you can skip season 1, but they'll be spoilers
Episodes are around an hour long and aren't always easy to break the ice
Most of the show's audiences are already fans of the Drawfee channel, so the show might be strange to those unfamiliar
Do you love detective stories but hate cops?
Do you love gay detective stories and hate capitalism?
Like disabled main characters who's disability actually comes up?
Like characters of color but not in the mood for stories on racism?
Tempted by the thought of romance at ages of 30+?
Does the idea of stories so queer you'll hesitate before calling any character a "man" or a "woman" make you think "Ah, yes pronoun shenanigans, just like my discord used to make"
And you into an abundance of strong, diverse female and nonbinary characters?
Do you fight for women's wrongs?
I know rep-only recommendations can be annoying, but I'm trying to grab your attention to promote some indie media. Luckily, though, this post isn't rep-only!
To read my full recommendation and review of Three of Hearts, click below. ♦️♥️♣️♠️
And if you aren't in the mood for a new thing right now, consider reblogging! Maybe even ping a friend who might be into this! You love supporting queer indie creators, right?
The story
♠️♣️♥️♦️Three of Hearts♦️♥️♣️♠️ centers on two paragovernmental agents in a fantasy, post-war, queernormative 1950s.
Roughly 20 years before the opening, a set of heroes purged magic from the world to turn the tide of the war. But scraps of this thaumaturgic energy still remain. S.U.I.T.S (securing unpredictable injurious thaumaturgic situations) is an agency founded to deal with everything left behind.
When two of the longest standing employees at S.U.I.T.S, Agent Vellum and Agent Felspar, are called onto a new case involving stone crops and a missing person, Felspar isn't surprised (Though Vellum, who's injury had him doing desk work most of his career, is). Things devolve quickly when the Agents realize this case comes from Felspar's home town of Cloven heart, an idyllic magical village that prefers to handle justice on it's own.
Answers yield only more questions, as the Agents realize almost everyone in town has something to hide, and Felspar isn't the only one whose past keeps catching up to him:
How much magic is still around? What's Vellum got sloshing around in there that people think is so juicy? What is Diamond, elven pop star and queer icon, doing in such a small town? Just how big is this case, and how can the Agents balance their legal responsibility, with promises they've made to Cloven Heart?
WHEN. WILL. THEY. JUST. KISS?
(if you're skeptical about central romances, I get it! See notes on aro/aceness and platonic relationships in the rep section for more info)
The combination of magic and newfangled war tech — think telegrams and radios — is somehow just as charming as a rotating cast of characters who will each stake their claim on your heart, but betrayal is imminent and mistrust is rife. The story strikes a wonderful balance between slice of life goodness, and edge-of-your-seat high drama, culminating In a show I highly recommend.
But are they just reskinned cops: my answer has got to be no. While they are technically law enforcement, the main two are entering a commune-like space, where that isn't so welcome. It's a situation they treat with caution and respect. The classic cop-plot of "Should I make myself judge, jury, and executioner because The Bad Guy™ deserves punishment" just isn't a problem. The justice system isn't perfect, in our world or the show's, and the story acknowledges that. But in a social, cultural way, they don't act like cops. They DO act like detectives. But the rules they choose to break and the ones they choose to follow will hopefully satisfy my fellow cop-haters who crave a good mystery
mid post note: I am not involved with the making of the show or the game space Kings. I just really like this podcast. Also, if you are seeing this text you are looking at a copy of the original posted on an unused sideblog so that I can keep the notes separate from my naturally spreading original without looking like a bot, and not get blaze notification spam.the references to "look in the notes for more" won't work for you. Yes, I spent my own money on this.
The format
♠️♣️♥️♦️Three of Hearts♦️♥️♣️♠️ is an Indie actual play — this is not DnD, hear me out — podcast in the game Space Kings. All the tension of dice rolls, without drawn out combat or clunkiness, it's a breeze of story-forward listening, even if you've never listened to actually play podcasts before!
If you've tried dnd actual plays, and haven't like the flow of them, I would recommend trying this. A few encounters that may feel random (though they're not) get the story kicked off at a fast pace, but it quickly settles into a story with a tight plot, great pacing, and impactful character development.
The use of a playing card deck to see the outcomes of risky actions means that no matter what happens, success or failure, the tension keeps rising, because there are only so many successes in the deck before you shuffle. The hosts do a wonderful job of explaining mechanics in the show, so it never interrupts the listening experience.
Actual-play connessuires who want to primarily see people playing a game might not be satisfied, as bonuses are given liberally, and I would describe the podcast as more story focused than game focused, But the risks are ALWAYS real, sometimes (often) with thrilling, shocking outcomes.
Also concerned AP listeners should know there's some chaos magic involved! I was surprised when it first came up, and doubtful about how it might affect the story, but it ended up weaving into the rest of the plot really well, and I feel neither like it had no affect, nor like it shook up everything the party was building in an unsatisfying way. Personally I would have preferred to go in knowing it was there, but I also don't think it's major enough to belong in the main synopsis. Now you know, though!
The hosts make a real effort to blend stats and story, and I think the pull it off wonderfully without spending too much time on mechanics. If you want to see that though, session 0 and other crunchy details are on the Patreon (where you get the same content no matter how much you pay, at a minimum of a dollar a month).
The pod has all the lighthearted fun and banter of a "friends around the table" show, but never once have I had that "oh my god, I'm not a part of your inside joke, shut up and play!" Feeling.
EDIT: i did not know "friends around the table" was the name of another podcast. no hate to them I'm sure they're lovely, this was just the use of a phrase.
I think it's a delight for AP and non-AP fans alike.
The episodes: roughly 45- 75 minutes long, with a midtro and some post-end music scenes, so listen through the end music, or check that there isn't extra content by seeing how close the play head is when the end music starts. It's not too long and quite pleasant in my opinion! The midtros always come at a nice moment to step back from the story, and are not too long and not irritating. I enjoyed listening to them! At some point, a midtro starts getting reused, and I was slightly disappointed I wasn't hearing new jokes every episode, but it's a small thing. I skip the repetitive ones with my 30 seconds forward button, and while I haven't timed the Intro, that's worked really well for me. I don't have to fiddle with my play head to make sure I don't skip forward too far. Super convenient.
Trigger warnings: the show is pretty lighthearted! Listeners sensitive non-graphic mentions of needles, blood, and/or guns might want to skip on this one, but most episodes don't get heavy. The few that do have pre-episode notes that warn you things get dark, how they get dark, and how to skip the darkest bits. Personally, I listened through them and enjoyed those parts a lot! But if that's not your thing, I agree with the warning that they're very skippable, and I think trigger-sensitive listeners will be pleased. As an indie pod, there are no fan made, super specific lists of triggers.
I'm trying to emphasize the balance between lightheartedness and drama, but if your mental health is sensitive to grim & dark media, i think this one is pretty safe. Please always exercise caution! But I'd describe 3o♥️s as emotionally restful.
Transcripts: transcripts are in the works, but do not currently exist except for episodes 1 and 2. Three of Hearts is a non-scripted show, so those are also unavailable. Some of the money given to the show will be used to hire a queer disabled transcriptionist! So if you listen and love it, consider sending cash their way. All transcripts are on patreon for free.
The rep
Don't you hate when someone raves about rep and you go in expecting something good and get like. One dog-boy described as having "chocolate colored skin"? Or when people make a "watch for rep" post and then mention like. Gay and maybe trans people and that's it, even when shows DO have disability and POC rep? Yeah that's not me. Here's the spoiler free rundown, race is at the bottom because I get into more detail with it, not because it isn't important:
Edit: For more on some of these topics from a hosts perspective, see the reblogged addition by @/citrusandsalt
MLM characters: Main characters, one confirmed bi the other unknown
Wlw characters: Reoccurring side characters (present or mentioned in every episode I think) Married. Orientation unspecified.
Enby love: LOTS. It's actually hard to really categorize mlm and wlw stuff because almost every character is nonbinary. Anyways— it's VERY queer
Women: I...I don't know exactly which characters are women 😂. But there are many feminine characters, and they're badass as fuck. Some are compassionate, some are cold, some are chaotic, most are a mix! The two main characters are...masculine...(I say with much hesitation) but you will not feel robbed for your woman-ly content.
Non-traditional family structures: All of the families in the story, pretty much, are non-traditional. Adoption is super common. (You want some wlw who just KEEP adopting kids? You got em) Found family is a MASSIVE force in the story. Also, It's a post-war story.........which is to say almost everyone's parents are dead.
Edit: an MC had poly parents, which may not be obvious but is true!
Polyamory: to my knowledge so far, there are polyam characters, and it is definitely present in the world! But no poly relationships in the forefront. I am about 2/3 through the current episodes, so there may be a present polyamorous relationship later, but also if I confirmed it that would be a spoiler. This may be that "playing it by ear" thing that happens with ttrpgs. I wouldn't listen for the hope of polyamory alone, but I don't tell you it's not there/won't happen.
Trans characters: almost all of them. Might think "oh there are only a few!" And you are wrong. You are so wrong.
Neopronoun users: yup! To my knowledge, minor characters. A handful who use at least he/she/they or they/them and may also use neos in a manner im forgetting
Plurality: no system characters yet, but the creators are friendly, I asked ;)
Aro/ace characters: none confirmed yet to my knowledge. Romance is very central, sex is joked about on occasion but it isn't at the forefront of the story at all. There are many, single characters who are thriving.
Edit: Actually! There is one character who discusses demiromanticism in cannon that I forgot, and another confirmed out of cannon character who is ace. Both are non-main major characters!
Platonic relationships: YES. As an aro person who hates so many romance tropes this one gets my stamp of approval. There's no real jealousy drama, exes who communicate and are supportive, and romance doesn't kill friendships. There's a central sibling relationship and non-familial platonic ones that have conflict, drama, resolutions, and a deeply satisfying significance in the story. If you don't like romance at all, this one might not be for you. If you just don't like stories exclusively about romance, I think you'll enjoy this. Genre wise, I'd definitely describe three of hearts as a mystery primarily with a strong romantic subplot, not a romance itself, and that comes through in player and character's additives and priorities.
Age diversity: the youngest characters in the show are older to middling teens, and the oldest are in their 400s. Okay but the oldest in human terms are roughly 60-70. The most common age range, and the ones the central characters are in, is 30-40. The second most common is that 60-70, then some ~40-50 folks here and there, with people in their 20s being probably the rarest (no named ones off the top of my head?) And there are a small number of teens. This is not a story about youth and youthful beauty. Generally, the older a character becomes the most bad ass/spooky powerful they are, and older characters are very involved in the plot.
Mental illness and neurodivergency: to my knowledge so far no characters are in cannon confirmed to have a specific mental illness or ND, though I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of a character or the main characters, and just hadn't come up. Listeners with cluster b or "scary" disorders, or with conditions that may cause them to lash out, will find satisfaction with how compassionately the narrative treats werefolk. To say more encounters spoilers. I would also say that depression, while the word isn't used and it is not central to the story, is present as a narrative force, and also treated wisely and with compassion. Still, as is usually for a good story, all of these bitches need therapy.
Disability: LOTS. There's a lot of "different, not broken" themes that disabled listeners are likely to love, but both of the main characters are disabled! One is a cane user, the other experiences migraines. These have a genuine, pressing, mechanical impact on the story. It's COMES UP. It's a real joy. For a magical world, there is no magical healing! Or there is, but it isn't a perfect solution, which in my opinion is just a magical version of real healing, though yours may differ! Also, there is a minor, reoccurring character who's a wheelchair user, and I think he's really fun.
Disfigurement: Excuse me if I am not prepared with the most sensitive way to speak about this, but I'm doing my best! There is a character with no eyes or nose, who is central and lovely. To my knowledge, there are no amputee characters or characters with limb differences (of the wheelchair user I'm not sure if it's specified whether or not he has legs). There is a character of questionable morality who has significant facial and bodily disfigurement. In as few spoilers as possible: this was not injury or genetic related. The disfigurement is treated with a firm compassion, and does not exist as a "this character is evil" signal. It's a long arc, but I imagine people who relate will be satisfied, though I cannot speak for anyone.
Characters of color: many! The main two are Hispanic and Asian. Terms like "dark skinned" are used for characters, but in the fantasy world race doesn't exactly translate, and I wouldn't call it "important" in this story. Read more about race below:
Fantasy racism: sort of! The word "race" is used to mean "humanoid species" and I know some folks don't like that? None of these fantasy races are oppressed, but specific people (Magic versus non-magic people) have conflict about that aspect of their identity, and policing is a related concern. I would place the allegory more in the space of transness and disability/neurodivergency if pressed to choose, but it doesn't feel like it's trying to tell a story about real-world oppression, primarily. I have more complicated thoughts on exactly what I'm trying to communicate here, but they involved some spoilers. DM me for more info!
Hosts/creator identity: out of three hosts, two are white, one is not! They are very queer, and disability is also...a thing! These are real life people, so I'm not going to get into detail, but check out their twitters plugged in the show for more on how they self-identify.
Edit: One of the hosts, Essay (@/citrusandsalts) discussed more on hosts identities in a reblog! If this concerns you, and you want less of me walking on eggshells about other people's identities, read her addition too!
Edit 2: Jordan, the GM also has commented additions!
Okay but are they racist: Real talk! As a black person who thinks I keep my ears sharp, I would say no! Not at all! This is one of those situations where I was like "YOU'RE WHITE?" And shocked about it, (if you listened to TSCOSI, same vibe) which is a very good thing in my books. The hosts are open and sensitive, and I have no complaints, however, this is just one perspective! This isn't coincidental, race is an active consideration in how the story is told — just not a central theme.
Minor but worth mentioning: A minor character has a name with what I believe is the Nahuatl "tl" sound in it, which is not pronounced correctly. It's a really hard sound! And I, op, can't really do it! But if that really irritates you this might not be the podcast for you.

fandom does this thing where it'll state smth a certain way to make it impossible to disagree with even when it's not true. "so you don't think it's racist for izzy, a white man, to say that edward, a moc, doesn't do any work?" like no? not if ed is slacking on work??? but you're not supposed to say that because the correlation of "saying ed doesn't do work means you're saying ed is lazy which means you're saying all moc are lazy" and if you go off and say "uhh idt it works that way" then you're denying the racism in the real world or something stupid like that.
but again it's like... you can't just say things as fact and expect it to become true? if my girlfriend tells me to go wash the dishes, she's not suddenly unloading all her work onto a black person and being racist (but if you can convince her of that argument it would be much appreciated i fucking hate doing dishes.) i mean, people aren't out here saying black pete is a racist because he fought with oluwande and tried to steal jim's leadership position. people aren't saying swede's a white supremacist because he and roach got in a tiff in episode one over their fabric and tried to stab each other.
i don't get what's hard to understand about the concept of "when half the cast is poc then on occasion poc and white charas will come into conflict with one another"
but i'm like... just because you said this interaction is racist doesn't mean people need to agree with you? you don't gotta change your opinion and you can have your own interpretation, but i'm not gonna drop everything and declare someone as in the right just because they said so. you kinda gotta actually? prove it? or you don't gotta actually like it's fandom live ur life if u wanna headcanon that izzy whispers slurs into ed's ear at night go right ahead. but "izzy wants ed to be violent and that's because he wants him to fit within racist caricatures and control him and you can tell because this is historically what white men did to moc" is an interpretation i'm not going to agree with because i think it's dumb and the reasoning is flimsy and it directly contradicts what we know about the writers' choices and it doesn't fit within the historical context and it draws into question every other theme within the show and it doesn't make sense for either character or their backstory and also once again i think it's dumb.
i don't even know where i'm going with this it's just like??? just because you say something doesn't mean it's true 😭 just because you can point towards a historical trend of white men being racist doesn't mean that this is what's happening in this interaction at this time especially when i stfg nobody in this fandom has made any effort to learn about polynesia or the māori in the slightest like sndjsjsjdjdjdjjddj like maybe we should all just start a book club or something so we can take turns collectively trying to be less stupid about a culture the majority of us are not a part of (which i'm including myself in the group of "stupid about a culture i'm not a part of")

Also Twiins' point about erasing light skinned Asian rep doesn't really hold up when you consider 99% of the time asian rep IS light skinned rep. How often do you see Asian characters that aren't light skinned in tv shows, both American or Asian made?
For the longest time, I didn't even know there could be dark skinned Asians or even thought about how indians are Asians cause i'd never seen them presented as Asian in media before.
Aside from that I want to ask if you consider fan content as representation for a property. I don't really see it as such since the majority of fans will only recognize characters as they appear in the show, so changing a characters race isn't really erasing or creating representation (not to excuse whitewashing tho, because it's always done with the purpose of shitting on poc and there will never be a need for white characters because there's already so fucking many), however I am white so I'm aware that I might not now how this fan content can positively affect poc.
I absolutely don't see fan made content as representation nor should it be held as representation for the media they are making the content for. We shouldn't be using the fans' hardwork to pat the creators' on the back for something they didn't even do. Blake as a WOC is great, but let's not give CRWBY credit for something they didn't even do.
And that's just it, we struggle so much with colourism in Middle Eastern and Asian countries. So many of my friends have to deal with that, so many people I don't even know have to struggle with that, so for some white woman to say respect all Asians when it's actually dark skinned Asians that have to deal with all this shit in their own countries is aggravating.
Even her reasoning is stupid, because dark skin =/= black, and it's shown with one Blake being draw as Indian-Japanese, aka fucking Asian.

Saw an ask abt this but I cant find it was related to the whole chanomai thing;- My OCs are usually a reflection of myself, they aren't made for other people so the idea of having 'representation' in my own OCs is stupid. The point of my OCs are to be a reflection of myself and as a Man and a White person I'm not able to 1/ fully represent what it means to be a Woman/POC and the unique experiences they go through 2/ relate to those experiences because I don't experience them 3/ don't feel comfortable attempting because I don't have the relevant knowledge or experience to do them justice!! Sure some people make OCs to have a rich backstory or have a huge plot and many characters all in the same universe; I can understand the need for varied OCs, but some people just make multiple OCs of themselves in different flavours- I don't think branding them a Misogynist or a Racist is really all that fair. ofc people can choose who they wanna draw for and if my lack of Women or POC turns them away that's fine- but I shouldn't be made to feel like I HAVE to have these OCs and that I'm an awful person if I don't. At that point having the OCs is just pandering/disingenuous and defeats the point of having them in the first place IMO.

Just saw your post about editing characters to be black, and just want to say that i totally agree and it's been bothering me a lot lately. The attitude the fandom have toward things like race and LGBT is... Really. Really. Toxic.
People attack artists for drawing keaya "too white" and even saying stuff like "he is not black enough".
Attacking other people over "straight ships" and claiming that everyone that ships them is homophobe (and pointedly looking away when other point out that the characters can be bi).
It's... Disgusting. It's the reason i don't want to interact with most of the fandom and i am also SCARED for the release of sumeru, if it's going to be based somewhat on Egypt/middle east. I can already see the angry posts of " the characters don't look black enough, mihoyo is racists!" when in reality... People here aren't as dark as other thinks. :/
(I do want to ask something if it's okay - even if a character is white, not asian or poc, and someone edits them to be black - it makes me super uncomfortable. Am i the only one?)
ALSO, IM SO SORRY FOR THE LONG RANT , IT'S OKAY IF YOU DONT POST IT, JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I LOVE YOU AND YOUR BLOG, AND HAVE A GREAT DAY
ya ya ya i agree! tho i also want to point out something that is extremely obvious but not saying it could backfire and i don't want that: the opposite happens just as often. that goes for all the toxicity; people invalidating a ship bc 'they're straight!!!' or 'they're gay, don't be homophobic' is the same kind of stupid and pointlessly mean. let people headcanon what they want as long as it's all legal and consensual and shit smh
also, YEAH, BISEXUALS BRO. the bi/pan/omni erasure is so fucking strong in some fandoms, like a character has to be either gay or straight but god forbid they're attracted to multiple genders. but sadly it also reflects the biphobia etc irl, lots of people (both in and out of the lgbtq+ community) are sooo biphobic lmao i cannot understand why
as far as sumeru is concerned, im kinda worried too. especially since all the npc we've seen from sumeru for now are light-skinned lmao. at least cyno exists, and he's gorgeous <3 i hope people also remember that we'll get natlan in a few years, and i think this is where we'll get the dark-skinned characters!
as for white people being edited, for me it can be the same thing if we're talking about poorly edited features, over someone else's work. it's still wrong, but not as much bc for asian and other poc characters there's also the underlying notion that black poc > other poc, which is not really the case for white ppl bc they're sufficiently represented for it to matter... less? it's poorly worded im sorry but it's like 8am and im brain dead. at least in my opinion, but yeah i get what you mean. i wish there would be more genshin ocs rather than fucking edits tbh
don't worry about the long post <3 i can understand how it weighs on one's mind bc it's literally what happened to me (sounds a bit dramatic but yk racism pisses me off so), so feel free to rant about it it's all good! also thank you bby i love you too, have a great day 🤍🤍🤍

Dude some of those cookie characters are literally based on different cultures along with different hair types like some of them obviously aren't white. Also equating food to poc being bad? Like, if you wanna show that a character is darker and they're a cookie what else would you do? That's not racist at all from my point of view as a poc.
The makers of cookie run are p cool when trying to be diverse with their characters, just because their designs are cookies doesn't mean they can't be coded as a race. Plus the excuse of saying they're all technically south korean because it's a south korean company? You have to know that was just stupid to say. Sorry if this came off as rude but people just trying to come up with any excuse to make characters they like white is pathetic as hell
I’ve responded to a few other things since the first ask, but to address this:
One, I know basically nothing about cookie run and have been informed that some of the cookies are meant to be specific races. This information came to light after I responded to the first ask. My question, originally, was why only the chocolate ones would be race coded; I did not have the information that some were intentionally so.
Two, I never said and did not mean to imply that it is racist to say that the chocolate cookies are black. If it came across that way somehow I apologize. I say I’m hesitant to make this argument because of the circumstances in one of the posts because I don’t feel it’s my place to comment on it.
Three, I... did not mean it as an excuse? I don’t see how me saying that “My assumption would be the cookies are Korean” is an excuse, and I would be interested in hearing from you how I used it as one if I did so I can make sure not to do it in the future.
Four, in the first post, I straight up say that I think it’s weird that you would draw one of the characters in question has having white skin if they have a dark tone for their canon design. I do think it’s weird. I made the post wondering how it corresponded with race instead of food type and based on what info I have received, I know now that at least some of the cookies are meant to be representation of certain races.
Five, as I address in another post I’ve answered since this has started, I compare my assumption of “race until told otherwise” as South Korean because obviously, yes, unless they give me alternate information, that would be my assumption? I’m trying my best to put my thoughts/thought process down properly.
If someone from Japan makes a fantasy based franchise, usually the culture of the franchise is based on Japanese culture unless they’re specifically doing otherwise. Therefore, the fantasy characters, while not Japanese, are still most comparable to people from Japan.
My point with this comparison was that none of them should be assumed to be white. At all.
If it was incorrect or racist to apply this same metric to the Cookie Run franchise, that’s definitely something I want to know, because I know that as a white person, I have unintentional racism I have to unlearn. I want to unlearn it, and if that’s something I did I will absolutely go back and edit the previous posts to make sure that both the original post is preserved and that I make it clear that I was wrong to do it.
Edit: I was using a phrase wrong and have updated the post to reflect that.

I hihi I am!!! A little nervous w/ doing this bc I've never done this b4 so please bear🐻 w// me💦 May I request a match up? A vision, a romantic partner and maybe a friend and/or enemy? If that's too much feel free to just assign me a vision + partner, ehe/// Preferably male for a romantic match-up, but either gender is fine with a friend and enemy match-up^^ I tried to be as detailed as possible but I think I ended up just ranting, so im v v sorry if it's long! I sort of fluctuate when it comes to being an introvert/extroverted. W// strangers and irl, I'm very introverted and shy!! Rarely speak and if I do it's just the usual "Hi how are you? That's good. I'm good too, thank you for asking:)" yeayea I'm not too. Keen on social interaction irl. But I always do my best to be very nice!! I never wanna come off as mean bc wow what a bad first impression that would be. But with friends / ppl ik online?? Whew I am very very friendly n chatty ^^ Either very high energy or very chill, there's rarely any inbetween. Sometimes I like to jokingly tease my friends but I'd never go too far / make them uncomfortable!! And if I do I always apologize right away!! I like to say that I'm affectionate?? My strongest love language is def physical affection, if not quality time. Idk man there's just something about vibing with someone or hugging them that just aaaaa/// Although I usually display affection w// words of affection bc. Literally most of my friends are online friends so I can't actually hug them, sad times. Idk if this is needed/important info but I just remembered: I'm 5'6 around??? Need glasses bc. Whew i am blind (near sighted), I'm poc (specifically black) anndd, hm. Actually I think thats it for this section, aha. As you can see I'm, not really all that organized. Also I don't have the best attention span - while writing this I'm circling between 4 different apps - and I'm a bit of a mess. And also a little stupid. Just a smidge dumb. But I have my moments - I solved like. 2 puzzles in Inazuma by myself so I think that counts for something. I also find that I tend to talk a whole lot when I have an idea or smthn to say abt a thing I'm super interested in!! That's info-dumping. I info dump. Yes. I also really like to listen to other people talk abt things they like!!!! Its so nice :) I'm protective over people I care about!! I've never done it but 100% would bark at someone who messed with someone close to be. Arf arf yaknow. I tend to he impulsive. I'll do something, and be all "YEAH>:D" and then regret it later. And then I'll do it all over again in a fun little cycle :) I consider myself an optimist, but quickly turn into a pessimist whenever it concerns myself. Fun funfun. Should probably mention that I am. A very insecure person w/ dangerously low self esteem, which is super fun esp when you mix that with the fact that I'm rarely ever motivated to improve. Yayayay Also sort of a pushover?? Like most often than not I'll be convinced to do something, even if I'm not too keen on doing it. Also afraid of confrontation when it comes to my friends and strangers (that is, if it's concerning me!! I'll order smthn for my friend but if I need to order for myself?? uhh stutter time aha). I'm also a mega simp ahah! Srsly though if I fall for someone/get infatuated with someone I. Will be so obvious abt it even though I try very hard not to be. Would gush over that person probably. I don't really like mean people tbh. Like yes I'll be nice and civil with them but!!! I cannot stand!!! Rude people!!! Esp when they're mean for no reason like sir??? maam??? homie??? chill pls ty<3 People who aren't necessarily mean, but moreso have bastard energy and are just really "hehe>:D" but playfully are p poggers tho!!! I think I get along with kids!! I have a little sister,, around like. Nine? And we get along really well!! I also try and match a kid's energy whenever I'm tasked with looking after them. I take pride in the fact that kids like me >:].... even if they sometimes scare me-- Ok, interest time!!
I like art!! Quite a bit!! Less of a realistic artist and more of a cartoonist!! Idk there's just something fun abt drawing cartoons, hehe. I also like self ships - I have quite a bit of them, actually ! Idk its comforting drawings your fictional crushes loving you idkidk. I like writing too! Both original stories, and one-shots or personal fics that are associated with already created media!! Writing character backstories and personalities and stuff is also fun too! I've even made my own fictional world with a full fledged backstory n everything! It's very fun to think about. I'm a day dreamer!!! Yea remember when I said I write stories? I day dream abt potential stories even more. Mmm daydream world so nice so warm so fun I read aswell!! Mostly fantasy books, or stories where animals are the protagonists. Think Warrior Cats. But my favorite book series has got to be Guardians of Ga'Hoole. Fantasy owl books, anyway! X Readers are also things I enjoy reading :) Again, s I m p Also gaming!!! Is something fun I do sometimes!!! Although it's usually Genshin Impact, or Wii Sports/Resort w// my little sister. Oh, also pokemon! I rlly like Primarina, Vaporeon, Sylveon and Vulpix/Ninetails! I absolutely adore sweet foods, and baking is smthn I'm def interested in! Don't like foods w// weird textures though, like beans or mashed potatoes. Also I. Love spice so much. Mmm love it when my mouth burns so bad. Don't have a favorite animal but I've had three cats in my lifetime (btw not important but my current cat is named Sylvester and. He's my baby boy) so I am. A very big cat fan. Probably not needed but I really like sword and claymore characters. Literally all of the characters I main are either sword or claymore users. Although I did get Diona, so I miiight start forcing myself to learn how to aimmm. I see that I tend to like people/characters that are a little more extroverted than me. Upbeat, happy type beat!!! Nice sunshine babies, :) I think thats it! I hope this was good enough? Again, first time doing this (at 2am nonetheless) so forgive me if I got too rambly or did anything wrong ^^ Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this! And I hope your day is good / you had a good day, depending on when you read this, ehe!
Hey! Sorry if the wait has been long! I also love Warrior Cats (I promise myself, one day I'll finish it.)
You received... A Pyro vision! Optimistic, enthusiastic, impulsive, reckless, and a lot of energy are the general characteristics held by the Pyro vision. • I hesitated between the Pyro and Hydro vision, but your energy distinguishes you from the Hydro vision. • You said you were impulsive, always doing something you might regret later but still doing it. • You react quickly: as you said, if somebody hurt someone you love, you won't think twice before barking. Your partner would be... Xingqiu! “This feeling was unexpected.” • At first, you were just friends, and Xingqiu really loved to tease you. Actually, you both teased each other. But eventually, a feeling of love towards you grew into Xingqiu. And that was reciprocated. • Your relationship is filled with teases, jokes, and good/funny moments where you mostly share what you commonly appreciate. • He also knows when to get serious: for example, he does everything to support you during your moments of struggle concerning your self-esteem. Your friend would be... Childe! “Luckily, I'm here!” • You two also share funny moments, especially during situations where your “stupidity” is overtaken by his insight. • Sometimes, he finds you cute. • He likes the fact that you get along well with kids. It leads you to great moments with him and his siblings. • You're quite the opposite in terms of self-esteem. I think it's a good thing because it makes you complementary. Your enemy would be... Albedo! A misunderstanding. • You wouldn't hate each other, but I think Albedo wouldn't like the way you use your energy, and when you're more in a chill mood (meaning you're more available for him to talk), he could get pissed at how much times he'd have to repeat himself for you to understand something. • He's very patient, but he understood quickly that his interests would maybe not be within your reach. • You would just be too different. Worth to mention • You and Venti are like drama queens in Mondstadt. You are good friends. But you both know that you can't be more, as it would eventually both drag you down (because of similar problems). • Klee is also your best friend: both of you share decisions that you definitely will regret later. Or maybe not. • Hu tao and you are kinds of silently competing over who's the best tease, and she beats you. My goal is definitely not achieved. I hope I can catch up tomorrow. And don't worry, it was surprisingly good for a first description!

No but this is so funny-
@psykopoulpe
Like I was curious, so I went onto your blog, and not only are half your posts hatesucking Bakugou's dick-
You also get mad at someone for "blackwashing a poc character" for drawing them??? In a slightly more realistic style compared to the animation.
But you also think Endeavour- a man who PHYSICALLY ABUSED HIS CHILD, making a LITERAL FOUR YEAR OLD PUKE from stress; who was so psychologically manipulative that his own WIFE poured BOILING WATER on their son just because half of his face looked like her husband; and that's not even counting Touya who nearly actually took his own life because of Endeavor, Natsuou who hates his guts, or Fuyumi who had to go through the stress of being pretty much a stand in mother for her younger siblings despite being a child herself.
I believe in two sides to every story, I believe that Endeavour's character arc is rather well written- but also? His actions actuslly had direct consequences?
Bakugou was a bully, yeah, but he was also just Some Dude. Every bullying flashback we get was the WHOLE CLASS. Hell, even the TEACHER bullied Midoriya- like?? Both of them, did. What kind of fucking teacher tells a kindergarten class "Treat him differently from other kids"? Also future reports (I.e. school choices) aren't even supposed to be passed around from kid to kid- yeah, nobody actually listens, they're like test scores), but they are DEFINITELY not the sort of thing that a teacher should be telling the class, let alone telling the class with the kid who bragged about being in the highest tax bracket (fucking nerd) and called his classmates extras and D listers.
We're not really going to pretend that Enji Todoroki, who violently cast aside all of his perfectly quirked children, wouldn't also be the snot nosed brat on the playground pushing around the Quirkless Kid.
Sometimes I want in my heart to take You People seriously, but then you pull shit like "He's only a literal murderer 🥺 Of course he's better than a childhood bully" or "He only abused and led to the physical scarring of two of his kids 🥺 He only borderline blackmailed his wife into being with him and drove her so insane that she hurt her own children 🥺 He's way better than a child who was mean." Absolute clowns lmfao.
Endeavour is a grown ass adult. An adult who had literal power over children. A main who took his inferiority out on a four year old child. A man who continued to take his anger out on said child until the child grew up seeing his fellow students as stepping stones, didn't care about anything other than his victory, and singled out any student he saw as a threat and hey wait this sounds familiar-
(It kinda does make you think- if EarlyRoki was a result of childhood abuse, then what does that say about Bakugou, who was incredibly similar??)
'Bakugou bullied Midoriya for years!!1!' and Enji abused Shouto for just as long??? (His other kids for even longer)- the difference is that Midoriya had every right, reason, and opportunity to just... walk away. Like that was a part of the reason Bakugou hated him sob much, because he couldn't understand anyone being that genuinely affectionate towards him, so he (like children do) rationalized that Well Actually Midoriya must hate him. Obviously.
If you can understand how Enji Todoroki was blinded by his own weakness to the point where he couldn't see anything but his own failures- to the point of taking it out on his children, especially young Shouto- and how he learned that sheer strength isn't everything and his quest for power made him empty-
Maybe you guys should understand how Katsuki Bakugou did the same thing, except his worst offense was saying stupid shit as a middle schooler. He knew Midoriya wasn't actively suicidal, it was just a taunt ('you don't even havs rhe courage to die') Endeavour left his literal child to burn in a forest fire, like. I dunno how to say that a rude comment is not worse than allowing and enabling self harm.
Also 'Deku' isn't a slur, nor is it really made up. It's a derivative of 'Dekunobu' meaning a wooden doll; when used as an insult, meaning useless. Not that like. I'd expect either you or your hatesucking bestie to extrapolation anything. Like at all. Because you can't read shit when it's spelled out.
But like, I dunno, bro.
Maybe take a page from a dude who knows something.
This is you guys @ Bakugou honestly lmfao.
Honestly, I want to know what manga you're reading where Bakugou is never and has never been in any harm, because like?? That sounds like my shit bro. Can some anti drop the link??
No Sludge Villain, no Kacchan Versus Deku one, no Sports Festival endgame, no Summer Training Camp, no kidnapping, no Kamino, no Kacchan Versus Deku two, significantly less Provisional Liscening Exam content, no Remedial Liscencing Exam, no Black Whip reveal because Kamino never happened, Midoriya dies during the War Arc, the hospital scene doesn't exist...
Man what a manga! I would love to see how a literal abuser is somehow more redeemable than a middle schooler. Who was rude. Because he was a middle schooler.
I'm the dumb one here for talking to a person in a whole ass Discord server dedicated to hating a fictional character, but like. Wow.
What do y'all even talk about??? "Oh my god I saw some Bakugou fanart today, look at it >>>:( I hate his stupid pretty face" 'Yeah fr why he gotta be so handsome?' 'I mean he's irredeemable obvi' 'But like...'
I should have blocked you ages ago, but this is kinda flattering 😳 this post has like... Three notes or something and no tags, how?? Did you even find it??
Also like. Are you asking me to get out every single manga panel with Bakugou contributing a major theme? Because like. I mean I could. Most of it is show not tell or (subjective to a point- especially considering 'what parts of his character play a role in this?'), but like I could.
To sum it up in a few panels, it would be;
The constant insertion of Bakugou into Midoriya's character. (Saying that Bakugou completes him, and now establishing Bakugou as Midoriya's weakness). I would add "Give him back," but there is an image limit.
Midoriya being a big center of Bakugou's development, thereby framing him as a True Hero, cementing him as a Hero (who saves) Heroes. Looping back around to Midoriya's admiration of Bakugou, a way for him to TRULY break free from his place as a Dekunobu. (Not to rag, but not really something that Endeavour can offer, as all of his victims felt differently, and, depending on the playout Dabi favors revenge over atonement or his father's new Heroism- which will always make him nothing more than an abuser to Dabi)- but also the way Bakugou ties in with Midoriya and All Might:
How they both admired him, but saw diffefent parts of him. There are a lot of points I could make about this- how Midoriya claims to admire and strive to be like All Might, but he copies Bakugou; how often teamwork is emphasized, and specifically, Bakugou and Midoriya teaming up at Endeavour's Agency when he's the man 'closest to All Might' despite never surpassing him; and just the general amount of times where Bakugou and Midoriya are both shown specifically involving All Might and/or his Heroism. However, the biggest and major theme is most definitely:
Save To Win/Win To Save.
The emphasis on their dual takes on Heroism. Midoriya who was weak always saw how amazing it was to see someone being saved. Bakugou who was strong always saw how amazing it was to see someone win. Midoriya wanted to save, Bakugou wanted to win.
They were both haunted by their inferiority in different ways.
Honestly this is one of my favorite topics so like??? Thanks for making me feel betted lmao, but I genuinely love how Midoriya represents what Hero Society CLAIMS to stand for- saving people at all costs, selfless dedication, helping the people who need it. Whereas, Bakugou represents what Hero Society ACTUALLY stands for- he wants to win above all else, he doesn't care about helping others, he lets his own vanity get in the way of his Heroism.
Now, Bakugou realizes early on that pure strength isn't enough to be strong. He and Midoriya are both faced with the downfalls of their ideologies: Bakugou can't handle his own weakness and Midoriya can't handle his own strength.
Bakugou has suffered at the negligence of Heroes time and time again. Even now he is suffering because Hero Society put so much effort into looking pretty that it never considered a genuine crisis. As a literal MIDDLE SCHOOLER, he watches Heroes LET him die in a crowded street corner instead of working with each other; he saw people who gathered around, gawking at him- they didn't care about his pain, all they wanted was to see some flashy display of power from a prominent Hero.
Midoriya on the other hand, never really knew what it felt like to win. He chased winning with a reckless abandon- and his internal arc didn't have a concrete kick in?
Maybe the Ball Throw? Gaining All Might's approval? The Entrance Exam?
Personally, I would say his idea of winning started to kick in during the USJ- but it was before that. The USJ was when he started internalizing that desire to win, hence copying Bakugou- another reoccuring theme throughout. From the shoulder throw during the Sports Festival (or the yelling during the USJ), to unlocking his percentages/Shoot Style, and other movesets of his copying Bakugou- not to mention Black Whip and Danger Sense both coming out because of Bakugou- Midoriya thinks of Bakugou in a crisis; Bakugou IS his crisis.
"Give him back!" "There is no wall too high to climb" "You're my image of victory"
But also where Bakugou is confronted with his weaknesses, he makes attempts to overcome them. Poorly, at first, of course. He doesn't have a mentor, he doesn't have anyone by his side to guide him intonthe right path. At first, he tries to overcome his weakness by showing off- of course he's the top student in the entrance exam. What else would he be?
That fails, of course, when he is faced with the things that he is lacking (or ths fear that his best isn't good enough)- hence the aftermath of Kacchan Versus Deku one where he gets upset at the other students pointing out his flaws (because like... Bro Yaoyorozu literally just said you had personal motivations- that's??? Not even an insult or something hard to extrapolate- you knew that??? Yeah, feel bad because Iida stayed on task, I guess, but Midoriya ended in a pile of himself and broken bones. He did not beat you. You are delusional, child.) He attempts to strong arm Todoroki, but gets mad when he feels like he isn't being taken seriously.
Again, his weakness is exploited by the Heroes, who chain him up and put him on display. On live television. :|
I will literally never get over that lmao UA had NO RIGHT to FORCE the kid to take an award. They gave him so much shit for his confidence (or, as Midoriya spelled it out 'challenging himself'), so much shit for his strength, only to say "Whaaat?? Noooo, come on you're a winner! Be happy!" at the very end. It wasn't as if kids didn't drop out either, like???
Anyways.
Bakugou was confronted with his weakness, he attempts to overcome it, but he fails.
Midoriya on the other hand also is confronted with his weakness and the way he cannot handle his own quirk. He also attempts to overcome this and fails.
The difference is that Midoriya never abandons his wreckless Heroism. He never stops breaking himself in order to save people.
To save Uraraka during the Entrance Exam, to save his victory during Kacchan Versus Deku one, to save Todoroki, Kota, Bakugou-
It's not as if his actions don't have consequences, but he refuses to see them. His arms are completely scarred over. If he breaks them one more time, they might become unusable.
Bakugou breaks down and realizes the error of his ways (over time as humans do). He learns that his strength is remarkable, yes, but it's not enough to be a true Hero.
This is why I love the fact that Bakugou's outward demeanour never changes, because Best Jeanist tells him to pick his Hero name to show what kind of Hero he wants to be. His original name being Bakusatsuou ('explosion' 'murder' 'god') was a show of his strength, of his desire to win- now his name being Daishinbakuou DynaMight(o) ('Great' 'Explosion' 'Murder' 'God' DynaMight) is a show of his his will, of thr fact that he still has the same Heroic resolve that he did before, but now he's better.
Midoriya tries to outrun the past, even viewing his Hero name as a shackle 'the Deku from before' 'the same old Deku'. He never breaks down his bias- but Bakugou does.
I've gotten a little off topic, but Midoriya is Hero Society's pretend side. His Heroism is admirable, but far from sustainable. Bakugou is Hero Society's true face. He's got the strength to back it up, but he's superficial. Neither of them can survive on their own, that'a why Hero Society is crumbling.
Bakugou slowly learning that his "true victory" has to include blostering his teammates and saving people is a huge step for him, for Society, and just as a big fat metaphor.
Midoriya slowly becoming corrupt by the idea of victory that he loses sight of himself much like Bakugou did- becoming a loner, pushing away his friends, and striving for power and for winning above all else. His Vigilante Arc showcases this immensely where he even does the same thing that Bakugou did back during the Provisional Liscence Exam where he runs into people needing help, onces them over, and then leaves.
(And I feel like this was done specifically, as both instances involved Shindo for some reason... Maybe he'll play an important part in the future)
We always say that Bakugou is Midoriya's Endeavour (the way that he strives for and chases after Midoriya, criticizing his own weakness, and seemingly doing anything he can to get stronger), but in all honesty? Bakugou is Midoriya's All Might; Midoriya is Bakugou's Endeavour.
Well.
Truly it's mutual- they're both chasing each other's tails.
That's why they're such a good pairing, that's why they are the protagonist and the deutragonist, that is why neither of them can die.
Midoriya is the strength within weakness, Bakugou is the weakness within strength. Neither of them can come to terms with their internal struggles through any way but each other- through the weak being strong and through the strong being weak.
Also if seeing Bakugou stresses you out to the point where you join a Discord server, to the point where you hunt down some??? Literal rando from what had to be a year ago- months at least- how??? Did you remember me? Why did you remember me??
Either way, you might want to just. Drop the manga. Like it's almost completed now, so I guess there's no point; but, in the future, I hope you chose things that make you happy. Also sorry when it inevitably comes out that Bakugou IS still alive and he kicks ass, because that is going to happen. No matter what y'all try and say or how much you ignore the canon, Bakugou has been an important figure thus far and he will still remain an important figure.
I have a lot of shit going on irl, so I am really sorry to anyone if I come across as crass, rude, or an asshole. I come onto Tumblr in order to escape the shit I am going through irl, so I already have very little patience when I am online.
With that out of the way, I don't blorbopost often (save random bursts of fanart or occasional theories (except currently I have a few vent posts)), but I am a BakuDeku fan.
Before that, though, I am a Bakugou fan. I care more about his development, treatment, and character more than I care about his importance to/part in any ship (which is unfortunately even more rare in newer fandom)
If you post jokes or memes about the current Hero Academia spoilers, deadass just block me right now. I don't want to see [redacted] and I don't fucking care. Even if it's just a softblock (assuming I follow you), I'm done. I don't want that shit on my dash.
Otherwise, I'm into a myriad of different shows (mostly anime), but I think I'm honestly done with fandom as a whole? Never be afraid to fandomtalk with me though! I'm very open to asks and DMs and post replies!
Other than that, I (usually) don't reblog guilt-trip or anger-activist posts with the intention of agreeing with them. There are a lot of issues out in this world today, and nobody has the ability to care about them all. We certainly don't have the power, and 'privilege' isn't some Pokemon game of type weaknesses; it's a case by case issue at best and it can be easily weaponized.
My last pinned post had a better description, but honestly I've just started unfollowing people who guilt trip too much. I come here for fun.
#me: man I don't want to see this stuff on my dash#some rando from a year(?) ago hunting me down: do you wanna see it in your comments??#bruh lmao#sorry I have a life outside of fandom#a life that consists of a job#this was fun though#now I don't want to block you damn#please keep reminding me why I love these two thank you#see actually#this is the fun part#you hate me#you don't care about the canon#you clearly haven't read the source material#I EXPECT this from you#from people who have spent years slowly adding to my aresenal of Bakugou's importance?? that's different#anyways this was fun#we should do this again sometime#emotional support anti

Ah some-one points out that your baseless vague accusations at random artists aren't actually helpful, and might be harmful and your response is to call them racist. Because obviously you're so smart and perfect only a racist who would never draw a PoC unless they had a gun to their head would disagree with you. You might want go back and review some of the Lance art you've reblogged, Lance is looking pretty pale and fair to me in some of those pics. Or maybe you just have a shit eye for color
OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD GET A LIFE GET OUT OF MY INBOX WHO EVEN ARE YOU. YOU SOUND LIKE A FUCKING BABY. YOU LITERALLY DON’T EVEN KNOW ME LIKE WHO ARE YOU. ALL I FUCKING SAID WAS TO JUST. LOOK AT HIS SKIN TONE AND TRY TO RE-ENACT IT. AND THEN I SAID IT’S OKAY TO GET IT WRONG IF YOU TRIED BECAUSE BELIEVE IT OR NOT ART IS NOT LINEAR. THERE IS A HUGE ASS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REALLY AND LEGITIMATELY TRYING, AND JUST NOT CARING AND THROWING A FIT WHEN YOU GET CALLED OUT
IF YOU #WERK FOR IT THEN GOOD FOR YOU. YOU CAN SEND ME A BILLION GOD DAMN ANONS ABOUT HOW HARD U TRY AND HOW IM ALWAYS SAYIN SHIT (WHICH? WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET THAT, I’VE NEVER ONCE IN MY FUCKING LIFE REBLOGGED ANY ART WITH CRITICISM, I’VE NEVER ONCE IN MY FUCKING LIFE EVEN VAGUED ABOUT A SPECIFIC ART PIECE BECAUSE I KNOW THAT SHIT HURTS FEELINGS, AND I KNOW THIS MIGHT BE A FOREIGN CONCEPT TO SOMEONE WHO CAN COME INTO MY INBOX CLAIMING TO FUCKING KNOW ME, BUT BEING NEEDLESSLY SHITTY IS ACTUALLY LIKE A TERRIBLE THING TO BE. YOU’RE A TERRIBLE FUCKING PERSON YOU’RE IRRITATING, YOU’RE ENTITLED, YOU’RE FUCKING RUDE).
LIKE “BASELESS VAGUE ACCUSATIONS” BITCH WHERE. BITCH FUCKING WHERE? YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT BASELESS VAGUE ACCUSATIONS, LET’S BRING OUT A QUOTE FROM ONE OF THE STUPID ASS ANONS YOU SENT ME.
“Someone like you looks at it and thinks they should have made the character 2 or even just 1 shade darker and starts making snitty/passive aggressive comments either in their ask box or reblogging with tags/comments.”
DO YOU EVEN KNOW ME? DO YOU EVEN GO TO THIS GOD DAMN SCHOOL? WE TALK ABOUT BASELESS VAGUE FUCKN ACCUSATIONS HERE THE FUCK THEY ARE.
I’m gonna switch off caps because I’m anxiety as fuck right now, im angry, im so tired of y’all cowardly motherfuckers coming to me on anon like a little bitch and spewing this dumb fucking garbage at me (and i hope you can see the little text from all the way up there on your high horse). If you disagree with me, block me, unfollow me, or talk to me civilly like a normal fucking human, and maybe if you took two seconds to get to know me, or to try and convince me without being such a little dick about it, this discussion would’ve gone somwhere that didn’t have me screaming like a fool on my blog at a faceless piece of shit with no manners.
I don’t give any kind of fuck who you are dude, I don’t care what you do, go draw Lance with porcelain fucking skin if that’s what gets you going dude I literally don’t care. The only thing I’d ever do is just not reblog it. like that’s it. Go have a fucking party, pick the peachiest colour you can find and slather him up with it. Make him glisten like a droopy slab of mayonnaise.
But u sure fuckn got me!!! “Aha! This person doesn’t want to deal with my dumb bitch ass on anon acting like an idiot and accusing them of shit I have no proof of, so obviously I’ve won!! The SJWs will think twice before messing with me!!”
TLDR: YOU’RE A FUCKING IDIOT. YOU MADE SOME DUMB SHIT UP FOR AN ARGUMENT THAT DIDN’T EVEN NEED TO HAPPEN, ACTED LIKE A SPOILED LITTLE TWO YEAR OLD, AND YOU PROBABLY VOTED FOR TRUMP. EAT MY ASS
PS: im sorry hi why did you hyphenate the word “someone” like. it’s fine. it’s one whole word. you don’t have to be afraid.
#replies#long post#discourse#whitewashing#racism#you guys holy fuck im shaking#this guy has left the dumbest messages in my inbox#and im sorry for the caps and the bold but#jesus christ#caps cw#bold text#im so angry im so fucking peeved why are people this stupid#Anonymous
