Made a whole 30 recipe for dinner tonight & my husband approved :)
again I am a first time cook and I enjoy that I am learning to cook healthy and whole foods like tonight’s pork, cauliflower mash (so yummy!) & greek salad with homemade dressing!
I also made the protein salad today and homemade mayo! I’m thoroughly enjoying what I have made so far & getting closer to becoming a healthy chef ;)

*deep sigh*
Its been 8 days since I did anything other than lay down helplessly or go to work. I've been on TheWhole30 diet for 9 days now, my sugar cravings are killing me (I kinda got used to it by now) I've been really exhausted lately and I know why, I should be eating 3 meals a day but 1 or sometimes 2 is all I can manage. Also I've been trying to drink more water cause I guess I've reached my peak of dehydration my skin, hair, lips are super dry and I just don't feel great AT ALL. I'm doing kinda good with water so I'm a bit happy, I cant wait for winter to drink hot water cause it actually worked for me and I didnt feel like i wanna throw up like I usually do.
*another deep sigh*
I've also been thinking about minimalism lately. I'm a messy person but its causing me a lot ot stress so I thought why not try the konmari method or I might go crazy soon.
It's just a phase, I can be better soon.

The Whole30 is a 30-day diet that emphasizes whole foods and the elimination of sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, soy, and dairy. The Whole30 is similar to but more restrictive than the paleo diet, as adherents may not eat natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup.

A week ago I started #thewhole30 to get my eating habits back on track, and to hopefully identify some foods that might be bothering my digestive system and in turn impact my overall health, including my chronic migraines. So far it has been going well, swipe to see just a few of the tasty dishes I have been eating (hungry is one thing I haven't been!) I can't believe no one told me that homemade mayo was this delicious! The End of Vegetarian Month
Today marks the end of my Vegetarian month. I missed meat a lot less than I expected. I ate way more carbs than I expected. I am sure there’s a way to eat less carbs than I did, but I was also exploring recipes for my family to enjoy. I found many recipes that I loved and will use again. I would love to keep a meatless Monday in the schedule when I’m done with all this diet experiment.
My highest weight this month was just over 184lbs and today I weighed in at 179.9lbs which makes me under 180! I managed to workout 5 times a week every week except this one (which I’ll end up at 4 workouts).
I am excited to have meat again though. I already had sushi for lunch. I forgot to do measurements this morning so I’ll do them tomorrow.
Next up is The Whole 30. It’s perfect because there’s 30 days in September. I would say it’s one of the more strict diets I have planned. I’m going from one rule, no meat, to several rules. Below is a link to the rules.

The Whole30 Challenge
On Thursday I am beginning my Whole30 Experience. My decision to try this elicits equal parts excitement and sheer terror.....actually its mainly terror.  I first heard about The Whole30 two years ago, when I was living in Denver, CO. Why has it taken me this long to challenge myself & take the plunge into the Whole30? 
The Answer: I have been afraid. 
Allow me to give you some background information:
The past two and a half years have been the most difficult of my life. I have battled with severe depression and anxiety. I have felt so utterly lost and deeply sad that I didn’t know if I would ever snap out of it. I felt shame and embarrassment and as a result I kept my troubles mostly to myself, which wrecked havoc on my mind AND my body.  I have struggled with food for two decades; this struggle has ranged from binge eating to starvation and everywhere else in-between. I have realized that in feeling this way I have created many more problems for myself by not respecting my body.  
Self sabotage has played a key role in this cycle and I have just recently discovered that now is the time to feel empowered to break it. My emotional state has been better for the past four months and I am ready to respect myself and love myself while creating a better relationship with food for life. I want to create a new pattern and feel good about myself. 
I pledge to keep myself accountable and dedicate myself fully for the next 30 days. From everything that I have ready about The Whole30 I know that at times   is process will be extremely difficult but I am finally in a place in my life where I am ready for the challenge and need to prove to myself once and for all that I am worth it.

Day 4 of #thewhole30. Doing well. Lost a few lbs already and starting to feel different. #carbocraver #type2 #diabetes . I am finally ready to change my relationship with food. So here you are wondering what the heck is the paleo lifestyle? It can be a bit overwhelming at first but most of the time if you follow the basic principal, “If it grows from the ground or eats what grows from the ground then its paleo”.
When we first started out there is a lot of information available online for free and what to choose was a bit too much but we needed a starting point. That’s when we came upon the site www.whole30.com The challenge for clean eating for 30 days looked like something that we could do.
It is all laid out in a easy to follow format, with printable shopping lists and a plethora of information for free. For a novice its a great place to get you on the road to the clean and healthy you that you deserve!  
As the days go on I will explain out family experience with the Whole30 and its benefits and also drawbacks. So go have a browse on the site and see if it peaks your interest.
