4. Favorite books read this year?

i read an unprecedented number (for me) of books this year, mostly because of buster keaton. the biographies are a shoo-in, but Rank Ladies: Gender and Cultural Hierarchy in American Vaudeville was surprisingly fascinating.

24. Fandom resolutions next year?

i WILL finish this vampire fic. i'm going to bump the ao3 tag for buster keaton up to 18 fics, come hell or high water.

I joined a gift exchange for a Charmes server I'm on and got to draw a prompt for @thesmartbluebox . Hermes thought a good icebreaker would be stealing an obol off of Charon.

Geralt doesn't speak and for a moment there's afriendly silence between them. Then Geralt lifts his eyebrow in a questioning manner.

Jaskier mouth closes and opens without words coming out. He clears his throat.

Jaskier voice is soft and he almost whispers to Geralt.

"A coin for your thoughts?"

" toss me a coin and you're going to regret it" snaps Geralt but there's something in his tone that betrays a bit of amusement.

Jaskier takes a breath and continues. "I couldn't find inspiration to write".

He looks as the snow starts to fall on geralt. He's so beautiful he thinks. He will miss him. But they must part ways for the winter.

Geralt smiles -oh how much he would like to kiss this rare smile.

"Come here" says geralt braking the silence. He extends his gloved hand and takes Jaskier's hand that holds the notebook. Geralt brings Jaskier's hand on his lips.

Jaskier can't breathe.

"Cold" Geralt whispers to and his lips brush Jaskier's fingers.

"Eh?" Jaskier's own intelligent response is.

"Your hand are very cold, come!" He says and pulls jaskier lightly. Jaskier without even thinking, comes closer.

Geralt makes room for jaskier to sit beside him and covers him with his cape.

"Sleep"

The next day geralt and jaskier walk on the path while geralt pulls Roach by his side. Geralt stops and turns to jaskier.

Geralt's posture is stiff. "Stay safe" he says. He nobs towards Jaskier and turns to leave. But he looks one last time behind him as their paths separate.

...

Jaskier walks for a few hours and when he gets up to the hill he looks to the town below. But doesn’t continue- he takes a moment to sit in a stone and enjoy the view of the valley underneath

He takes his pen and starts to compose until it's almost night and the fires from the village below ignite.

As the snow is falling lightly upon the view, he sings his new song.

When the leaves fall from the trees,

I know that you must go.

So, while you are away my love.

I'll cover the earth with snow.

The wind will blow with the icy breath.

Each day while we're apart.

But, the thought of Spring and of your return,

Is safe inside my heart.

being an adult and trying to be "responsible with my money" is so hard like literally what corners am I supposed to be cutting on this budget. what am I supposed to stop spending money on. my anxiety meds? food for my cats? impulsive takeout orders? spotify premium? patreon artists who draw huge throbbing monster dicks? all of these are completely necessary to maintain my quality of life.

glitter pens: if you could magically learn any obscure skill what would it be?

I don’t know if it counts as obscure but I’d love to be able to play the psaltry better. I’m very clumsy with it and can only currently do a sort of attempt at modern pop songs and the song from Dragonheart.

sharpener: do you collect anything?

Pins / badges. I have  a bag at my parents (so it doesn’t get ruined while I work out where to store / display it) that has a load of badges on it. Some of them are the ones my mam had from being a kid, others are ones I collected myself over the years. I’ve got ones from Adam and the Ants to ones from the castles I’ve visited. I even think I have something like the safe cross code one from my mam.

stamps: a personal achievement you’re proud of

I got my black belt when I was 15. I did the adults grading because I would have had to re-do it the year after if I had done the kids one. I spent so much time writing the essays, teaching and training. I put extra time into getting the kata and weapons work as perfect as I could. I did all of this while struggling with hypermobile joints, exams at school and a lot of ups and downs family wise. 

It’s one of the achievements I’m most proud of because of how much it took and also for what I gained from it. I learned I could overcome so much. I pushed myself twice a week at classes and worked on my off days. I juggled teaching and training at age 13-15. I had done all of this and in the lead up to it skipped a formal grading because I impressed people. If I could do that then I can do so much more now.

3. how stir crazy are you on a scale of 1-10?

Maybe a three? I haven't gone out since Friday due to schoolwork, but other than that I've been taking daily walks that have helped a lot.

10. what are you going to do once the quarantine is over?

:D I've actually written a list! As you can clearly tell, its contents reveal me to be a very classy individual and not at all a giant doofus.

4. how do you find inspiration for your art?

either I already happen to have a Vague Idea or I go through my #graphics tag to look at cool graphics other people have done

tbh tho, a lot of the coolest things I’ve done were the result of I Accidentally Clicked The Wrong Button But This Looks Better Than What I Had In Mind Actually ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11. do you listen to music when you’re editing? 

oh yeah, absolutely! I don’t have a specific Editing Playlist or something tho

12. what’s something you would like to learn? 

how to get people to use the damn reblog button again

hm, good question 🤔 I don’t actually edit that much anymore, so I’m fine where I’m at really.

Maybe making icons? I tried once when I had my big GotG phase but they’re kinda meh. There’s definitely a skill set to making icons that I do not have :D

Oh and anything typography! I’m SO bad at everything text related, so I just try to avoid using it whenever possible lol

18. how do you feel when people put tags while reblogging your edit? 

is *screaming* an emotion? Because that’s what I’m feeling. If you write something nice in the tags I will make a screenshot and treasure it forever
