Maybe if I listen to Theseus on repeat I’ll regain hope that everything will be ok

Maybe it's because I don't watch a lot of stuff, but I can't think of a single time I've ever heard someone who is asked the Ship of Theseus question ask their own:

Is something worth getting rid of because of one bad/broken part?

Because yeah, ultimately, if you replace the rotten boards of a ship little by little over time, it honestly isn't the same ship anymore. But...

Why would you want it to be?

That's honestly why I love Theseus so much; because it does ask that question.

And it says no. It isn't worth getting rid of.

Mend it

And it acknowledges that it's not going to be easy.

But its worth it to be better.

I don't know how to explain how Theseus by The Oh Hellos is such a healing song as a trans neurodiverse person trying to grow as an adult and become the person I both want and need to be. Slowly fixing, working on and perfecting the parts of yourself that maybe don't need replacing, but could use some fine tuning, some repairs, some changes. To become something that is still you, undoubtedly and wholly YOU, but grown, changed, and made to be the best version of yourself, slowly, painfully, but surely.

Prompt: Healing List: Flufftober

As much as I love angsty stuff about Wilds hyrule being one of the emptiest or the emptiest, I've found I always enjoy the fics about it healing more. IDK, there's just something about this kingdom of people coming together after this great catastrophe to rebuild that gets to me. I prefer interpretations where Wild is proud of his hyrule. Sure, its full of ruins and a bit desolate, but it survived. Even after everything, its rebuilding. Wild really does love his hyrule for all its got.

Anyways, I need everyone to go listen to 'Theseus' by The Oh Hellos right now. Its always a song that gave me Wild energy, and I just think its fits perfectly. Most of this piece is based on the song, and its just fantastic, Give it a listen.

Also. I have to say it. Some of you are fucking annoying about fandoms liking particular songs. Ascribing new meanings based on other media to music isnt a bad thing, my guy.
