OK so heres some of my favorite things that were talked about during the enter the florpus commentary thing yesterday:

one of jhonen's favorite things in the whole movie is the writing in zim's kitchen that says "do anything is real?"

they clarified specifically that gir was not lying and he did in fact eat a baby at the crazy taco

gir smells REALLY bad. theres like rotting organic matter in his body at all times. he stinks

zim's human suit is made out of actual human skin

zim is acting drunk on nacho cheese during that scene in his house because richard horvitz recorded it while drunk

they planned to have this whole thing with tak's ship only agreeing to go to moo-ping 10 because it knows tak is there. they wouldve shown her in silhouette during that brief explosion and she wouldve stowed away on the ship without anyone knowing and then wouldve shown up towards the end of the movie, but they decided to cut it out

zim did not need to frame membrane for a crime in order to get him into space prison and likely just tossed the guards like 5 bucks for it. its a shady place. they did specify though that if he did frame him for something, it would have been jaywalking

they pointed out during that scene where zim is celebrating peace day on dib's lawn that zim's reaction to seeing dib was very much genuine and that's just how his brain works. he is genuinely surprised to see him pop out of his own house. (they also described his reaction as like "being surprised to see your best friend")

the ham joke was ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to the film and at some point jhonen remembered it and was like GUYS. WE ALMOST FORGOT THE HAM

there was supposed to be this joke where it cuts to and from gaz and dib in tak's ship and they would've had to stop at like a warp station or something and theyd be waiting in a long queue of spaceships and the radio is broken in the ship so theyre stuck listening to that one song. then itd cut to them like totally braindead drooling from listening to it for so long. and then a little later itd cut back a FINAL time and theyd know all of the words and both be singing along to it. but this was also cut out so only the last bit remained

when asked "who would win: minimoose or mrs. bitters?" the answer was along the lines of "neither, i think all of us lose in that scenario"

the tallest are just two dudes who happen to be the same height and therefore have to share the same job. they are not brothers and they are also not gay lovers ("as much as you want them to be, they are not. there is no love in this universe")

skooge is in fact alive and lives in zim's basement. they wanted to keep the number of "hey remember this thing from the tv show!" moments to a minimum so he was not mentioned in the movie. but he is there

#&juliet #had the absolute luck of watching this live the other night and it was. truly amazing!!! aaah #rough character designs for the younger leads (excluding like the Grown adult duos..) because?? idk #this is how it always starts. once the character designs start getting simplified like this that's when it all begins #which is hmmm timing but i really can't shut up about this musical it was so so fun. absolute vibes and energy #made me laugh and cry and was such an Experience. i adore them all but may specifically made me sob at some parts dfjkldfh #lots of thoughts! but one of the favs is how they wrote it so the existing songs and actions fit so well.#like in a rhyming bit they had frankie accept a drink and then the song was like ''drink in hand'' and i was all !!!!!!#also maybe it's local censorship? but there wasn't the kisses.. they replaced it w kissing hands and then holding hands #which is like a cute nod to the ''hand to hand holy palmers kiss' or smth but also maybe two guys doing that would not have made it past :/#oh my god i. the way rnj parallels the shakespeare duo... whdskjfhgh. may + not being a Girl kdjhgf. frankie and may. aaagh.#angelique being so so badass. i . the speech about Gender by anne and the Proposal by angelique both made the whole theatre cheer love that #also rotating stage lives in my mind rent free i ADORE the set holy moly.. also also the actors were so good. also the Projections.#also the music and costumes and special effects and aerial moments. and the ensemble. and the choreo #also the cast is so talented. and pretty. and the whole confidence part vs the vulnerability of some bits... whshjfgjkl. hhh #im just listing stuff now but it was so vibes. what an experience ever. it's also shot me directly into 14-years-old again so #spent the morning alone vibing to the soundtrack intensely... i just... sometimes things hold special places in your heart idk!!!#i don't know what to do with these designs though... like the show is such a lovely Spectacle but also idk where to branch out by myself no #there's so much to Absorb again and again. i get the feeling any true work from this i would do in a form of an animatic though.. oops #tldr? 1. &juliet very good just as itself 2. we have History 3. i got to see it live which always propels me into bonkers over musicals!#so so rough but i needed to get smth out and . whatever. an art blog is an art blog. back to hiatus now i think #<reminder to myself: this is essentially an artchive.. there's no quality control if you don't want it! have fun!! ily>

Second of all, haha keep talking and I'm gonna unroll my character analysis essay. "They're just evil" yeah that's rich. Bet you thought the ending of the series was about "redeeming" them too, huh?

#sondread #sonine #sonic prime #sonic the hedgehog #knuckles the dread #nine the fox #I'm gonna be a prime sonic defender forever at this rate #Anyways I channeled the me from between seasons 2 and 3 who was frustrated at seeing the stuff people were saying about my favs #Prime Sonic somehow seems to compel people to start foam at the mouth as they call him stupid and deride him for being hopeful and seeing #the good and people #and then somehow the people who are willing to be okay about Prime Sonic's tendency to try to save everyone and towards self sacrifice #can only believe it as long as sonic stupidly and naively believes his beloved friends are good people as these 'friends' so skillfully #manipulate him #Then when Sonic sees them at their worst canonically those people start foaming at the mouth when he doesn't instantly denounce or try to #imprison/kill these characters #It makes me less frustrated when it comes to Dread because I can get what people are seeing and unfortunately whatever talk transpired #between Sonic leaving the yoke in s3 and everyone else coming to fight Nine happened offscreen #You do have to dig at least slightly beyond surface level interpretation to get the reading that Dread is more than just an evil guy who was #pretending to not be #(although I would have thought how he originally tried to save his crew from experiencing him at his worst by keeping himself away from his #obsession would mean something but I digress)#With Nine to believe that he's always just been evil and manipulative to Sonic so he could backstab him you quite literally have to ignore #everything we see across the whole series and the feelings that come through in the final episodes of seasons 2 and 3 #and ONLY believe that what Renegade and Shadow say about Nine (and the chaos council in s3) is canon #And yes I do think that if you thought S3 was about redeeming certain characters so the ending could be happy go lucky then you are missing #the point of what Sonic Prime tried to say and of Sonic’s own philosophy #I daresay you missed the point of some of these characters as well if you think their arcs are about how they end with them redeeming #themselves so they can become good people and therefore deserve life and a home #fandom wank #i just be ramblin

#none of the characters rlly speak to me as My Guy so far .. im intrigued by what loops deal is #but not rlly by them as a person? so i cant say theyre my fav #same with siffrin. i love how they sometimes say like some rlly concerning stuff like its no big deal #like “its ok if i die as long as my friends survive. as long as i do my job” n shit like Ok man! happy for you. theyre swag they intrigue m #i like mira:) shes nice. i like odille:) shes awesome. bonnie is cool n i like their dynamic w odille #isas cute #i find the whole concept intriguing. and im very curious as to who loop Is. if they were always like this or if they became this way #and how exactl theyre connected to siffrin. and the king bc im assuming theyre connected to hmi one way or another #maybe theyre the handmaiden that mira 'replaced' ?!! crazy if true #i like the ost a lot:) i like the art. the character interactions are rlly awesome the dialogues wonderful #its v lovely #played 3-4 hours just nyaow so theres still a LOT for me to get to... i wouldnt have played as much had i not been streaming to a friend #but!!ya:) its nice. i like it. ill def play more of it #its a nice game #its been in my wishlist for monthssss im happy to finally play it #anyway out of the main group odilles my fav for nyaow i think tho it might very possibly change #sharing my thoughts here bc i know some of my mutuals/followers like this game . and im the yapper 👍#the character dialogue rlly is everything to me. v awesome

#mako mart and inkblot r my fav maps in terms of the details in them #btw a lot of the food locker cosmetics can be found in mako mart; even going back to splat 2 #granted the displays of cereal on the map were updated to more accurately depict the boxes u can get 4 ur locker but still #and iirc u can find concept art/textures for some of the products in haikara walker but idk. where u can find good scans of that #splatoon #splatoon 3 #splatoon photography #still dont know if thats a thing.
