ilmari……quiet, blunt, dry and emotionally unavailable. Horse girl and the king of not giving a fuck. they’re a free spirit, and since they were the first to leave the nest theyre always just kinda Wandering. Doesn’t speak unless spoken to. They typically come off as very weird and unsettling, but they are very gentle and compassionate when it comes down to it, they’re just Bad at feelings. as they get older, though, alina, with a strong support system, is eventually able to find his voice and speak up for himself, and after years of being silent, he becomes kind of the rebel of the family. he’s intelligent, calculated, and very stubborn about what he believes in. plus, shes spent most of her life observing, so she has a very good understanding of whats going on around her- and a passion for leadership that’s reminiscent of cassandra’s. alina ends up being a very hardheaded, outspoken and emotional individual who’s eager to take a stand and is deeply afraid of being a burden on her loved ones, or worse, never accomplishing anything at all. Change and/or destroy himself to meet other peoples expectations. this is why he is a horrible choice for coronas heir and unfortunately, because hes REALLY good at masking, it takes everyone WAY TOO LONG to realize this. Agreed, I was reading the thread and it felt like some of the staff/lore writers (especially Temul) either weren't taking it seriously or were so nervous about facing criticism that they were using that like "silly" behavior/typing style as a shield, like an appeasement behavior. I know that Temul especially was incredibly anxious, and I really do feel bad for them, *however*, I do believe they should've removed themself from the conversation or been muted sooner. It was clearly not good for them. It also just makes things kind of awkward, and it creates an environment where members are hesitant to voice concerns or give criticism because they're worried about upsetting staff. Also, their mental health should come before Terraliens, and if it's causing them so much distress that a pretty civil discussion is causing a panic attack, I really do hope they consider if their involvement in the community is good for them or not. Nothing against them, I think they're funny and cool, I just don't want to see anyone sacrificing their mental stability for a closed species.

Also, it felt like they ("they" as in the lore writers, not just Temul) were being kind of dismissive, like the conversation had a very "oops haha yeah we got too excited sowwy :3" vibe. I think a lot of the Terras team struggles to balance being friendly, real, and funny with being professional and taking things seriously.

Again, I absolutely feel for Temul, and I'm not annoyed by the fact that they were distressed, but I think staff should've stepped in sooner, and everyone should've taken the discussion more seriously. It seems like the members involved were getting a little fed up and feeling like they weren't actually being listened to, and if Terras is going to continue, members need to feel like their concerns are going to be discussed in a more professional manner.

the development of their relationship is like... at first they HATED each other, they found each other so ANNOYING and INSUFFERABLE, naturally... until a little problem in the form of a 13 year old child showed up at the dojo. apparently this kid was enough of a mutual threat to get the two of them to tolerate each other enough to reluctantly team up... also can i say they r literally like cartoon antagonists to me? they are SO funny and dumb i am SO obsessed... anyways! after the whole main plot of the isle of armor is over, they still kinda almost, try 2 awkwardly ignore each other? tsunderes... they cant admit theyre growing fond of each other xP and after a while, that strategy just doesnt work out :p they continue 2 train at the dojo, and this soon leads 2 them becoming friends! this part is integral 2 me 4 the development of their relationship, they become total besties, they r such galpals........

I'm a writer too, and I just have to say: it's just writing, dear. You're just writing some very good silly things and posting it on Tumblr, of all places. It's just some writing, no big deal here. You might feel like it sucks. But honestly? Nobody cares. It's Tumblr. No one has big expectations for anything here, or they shouldn't have, at least.

(By the way, I don’t mean all of this in a bad way. This is just how I, myself, cope when I feel bad about my own writing. I usually minimise it, try to brush it off, and pretend it's nothing. And it actually is.

I usually feel insecure about posting because I feel like nobody is going to read or like my work. And... so what if they don't? I'm already expecting them not to read/like the moment I post something. So, what am I worried about? Worried about them not reading or liking it? When that was precisely what I was expecting to begin with? If you think about it, insecurity makes no sense.

There are people who come and go, leaving notes on your things (that have a lot of notes, from what I have seen). Some of these people decide to stay inside the room. There are two thousand people who chose to stay in the room and support you. That's actually a lot of people, isn't it? And I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be there if your writing was bad.)

anon im gonna have to tell u here … ☝🏽 u seem like a very healthy person bcs ur coping mechanism and thoughts on this are what i strive to have sobsobsob. . . ik its simply silly little ideas of mine that i publish on a random app, its just that i have anxiety / am anxious about the smallest of things and stress very easily ,, even abt things that dont matter at all (ex. tumblr fics) like i tell my brain repeatedly ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS !!!!! (sometimes it works ngl and i just laugh at myself) but sometimes it still wont listen 😞

as for interactions, most of the time i dont mind if my works get little to no interactions (unless i spent like 4+ hours on a reaaally long fic and get 0 feedback like !!! i wanna improve & know whats good and what not bcs writing has been one of my biggest hobbies since i was very young :<) — what bothers me most is that my english doesn’t make sense sometimes. or if i use a word twice in one sentence. or if i misspell a word and it makes me look dumb— but then again like u said !! so what if people read those mistakes? unfortunately, my anxiety always has me in a chokehold . i try to not take my insecurities seriously and downplay it most of the time but it just comes back again and again,, basically a never ending loop ARUGHH

Things have been a lil too good for ponyboy around these parts.... hcs for ponyboy feeling left out/lonely and howww people help him w/ that (specifically my goat curly but i also love having some of the gang in there and my pookie tim)

i like how we all have a cap in how happy pony can b, LMAOOO

•no matter what, i feel like ponys just always gonna struggle in some kinda way w his masculinity, no matter what looking tuff is always gonna b a priority of his, pony will always take how he comes off seriously

•its expected of everyone to look even a lil tuff so ponys always comparing himself to others, kinda calculating whos better, how, in what way and pony does NOT rlly win the competitions he sets in his mind and it messes w him

•its one of the reasons y he hung out w johnny as shitty as that sounds, next to johnny he looked tuffer and that mad pony feel better about himself, hes never ever realized that tho and dont worry its not like he was USING johnny, he did love johnny that was just like one of the perks of being around him and the last reason h he ever was in the first place, he truly did love johnny do NOT twist my words,,,

•ANYWAYS that feeling gets even more apparent when it comes to ppl who r literally around his same age, CASE IN POINT!!! CURLY!!! WOOO!!!! now being around curly was the exact opposite of being around johnny, now pony looked weaker and he couldnt STAND it, that smallllll amount of masculinity he had w johnny is just gone now

•hes NEVER ever talked about it to other ppl, cause just think about it, WHINING to someone about not being seen as strong????? thats like a kid whining about not getting what they want, hes not gonna b taken seriously after that so he choses to shut up about it!!!! go into this situation alone

•whats funny about it is curly DOES see pony as tuff (not as tuff as him, curlys a conceded lil asshole) but way more than pony thinks, thats y curly respects him

•ponys got a LOT of respect from tim from when he “killed that soc”, pony doesnt exactly count it and doesnt like being seen as tuff for THAT moment specifically, but sometimes pony just takes what he gets, tims ruffled ponys hair (rough as hell btw) and said “ur good, kid” and thats made pony feel a lil better, tho!!

•pretty sure its canon that pony said his and sodas hair was seen as the best in the gang and HOW that was decided was just a silly voting between the gang, even darry voted for pony and ponys NEVER forgot how good that made him feel he was so happy

•pony doesnt take MUCH opinion on it when it comes to darry and soda bc those r his brothers, he expects them to call him tuff, duhhhh, but that doesnt mean that their compliments dont mean NOTHING, to anyone else those r huge compliments, soda the pretty boy and darry the golden boy callin u tuff??? pony u r living someones dream rn

•kinda unrelated but pony picks up tuff things to do from some movies hes seen and soda notices that and wants to call him cute but he knows pony would hate that so he keeps it to himself

•right after darry, its steve whos the more “muscular” of the gang (hes more pudgy than anything but very strong) and he notices that ponys arm get a lil more beefy every time he sees him and he always points it out saying “god damn do u go to the gym or somethin” and they can fight allllll they want, pony loves the compliment bc hes not even going to the gym, if steve is able to compliment him on it, hes doin somethin right!!!

(SRRY THIS IS A LOT LONGER THAN I EXPECTED IT TO BE WHEN WRITING. TAKE UR TIME ) (Taking “ask as many questions as you like” and running with it /silly) same anon from before again again. idk kind of rant incoming bcuz i don’t much much of anywhere else to! im sort of questioning being plural but with a big question mark there bcuz it could honestly just be my gender changing too much and the identity crisis 💔 and i feel like for every symptom i have there’s at least 2 more i dont. my gender fluctuates enough already but sometimes specific genders or pronouns seem to come with certain name preferences and moods (to which I’ve always referred to as different “vibes” because that’s the only way i figured to describe things). but each of these sort of “vibes” have started to actually feel like different ppl and ive started to mess around with acknowledging them separately and it does feel nice. im also realizing that even though i don’t hear any distinct voices or anything in my mind, when i think to myself it’s more of actual back and forth conversation than is normal from what ive asked some friends? i never have amnesia at all (other than the usual forgetfulness i have which is very minor) but sometimes ill do things that don’t feel like. myself? like ill forget I drew/posted/wrote something for a bit but when I see it again i remember. and I know i did it, I was there, doing it, even though i feel like it wasn’t me. and not like im not in control of my body when I do it either cuz I very much remember doing it i just dont see why or what my thought process was. i have a whiteboard in my room where I’ve started making doodles of whatever feels like “myself” at any certain time and they’re all kind of similar but still feel like distinct. ppl. and again i physically remember drawing the other ones but it’s still weird. but most of this is just me I guess, because I don’t think i ever act particularly different online or irl around other ppl, it’s always just things i observe when im alone. i also know i have problems with symptoms of things I think I might have only appearing after I overthink it but maybeeeeeee it’s just im noticing it more? probably not. oh also before I forget I’ve also never actually dissociated or anything (at least to my understanding of an out of body experience type of thing. (Well actually I did once and remember it very clearly but that was several years ago when I hadn’t slept for much longer than usual)). its just normal zoning out for me i guess. anyways idk where i was rlly going with this and ik everyone’s experiences r different and obviously strangers on the internet can’t diagnose me with anything but I just wanted to say something ^-^ thank u for reading if u did lol

hey man! i can get that it’s stressful to figure all this out. if it helps, our experiences are pretty similar! our syscovery started with name preferences, feeling really different, and pronoun/gender identity preferences fluctuating. it sounds to me like you could very well be plural!

like you said, i can’t diagnose you with anything. however, there are some ways to try and log your headmates/alters/parts (whatever you’d prefer them called)! for example, the website simplyplural (we don’t use but many systems do) or the pluralkit bot on discord (if you use discord!) these softwares can do things like track your switches, log your headmates with names, pronouns, and descriptions, and more.

there’s no harm in giving those helpful resources a try, especially if you’re seriously considering this possibility. if you have a therapist/some form of professional help, it would be really good to bring these feelings up with them as well.

for now, keep doing what you’re already doing, possibly dabble in simplyplural or pluralkit (or another resource i didn’t list — any notes app could work as well)

i’m gonna start calling you “system questioning anon” in case you have any more questions to send me, as long as you don’t mind!

Edit 2: the amount of people coming at me for "being an asshole" to her, when I said right here that I don't want to be rude, makes me wonder about the reading comprehension of this sub. Y'all are coming for me, hard, defending the religion you don't believe in? For who? Some of you are really showing your ass. Especially this particular flavor of hypocrite that is being really rude to me while telling me to not be an asshole to this lady when I haven't been rude to the lady. There's a new lady at my local gas station, and every time we go inside to pay with cash, she always vigorously says, "God bless you" and/or "have a blessed day." It makes me want to not even go to that gas station anymore but in this economy... She's very nice and much faster than the elderly people who also work there. Idk it just gives me the ick.

Like when people say "ill pray for you," eh, no thanks. Save your prayers for someone who needs them. I don't.. I'd really rather you didn't.

I can brush it off when people say "bless you" when I sneeze because what else do you say? I dont say it myself, but it also feels awkward to say nothing?

This feels more invasive than that. I don't want your blessing. Or your sky daddy's. Maybe I should ask her, "Which God, tho?" I'd take a blessing from Thor, Thoth, Aphrodite (not that I believe in them any more than the ol' 'me, myself, and I' trio).

I wish I could think up something witty but not rude to offer her back. I still have to buy gas there, after all.

Edit: ok, some of you guys are taking my mild rant way too seriously. You also clearly don't think modern Christianity is the absolute scourge it is, and it shows. I'm not going to make a pentagram on the floor and summon a demon to the gas station because she dared to bless me, sheesh!
