Tingles and Giggles - Chapter Eight - Tyler Owens x Reader

Chapter Eight - Carried Away

On your way back to Prairie Winds most of the ride was silent, filled with the tunes of country music. Tyler held your hand in his and rubbed your knuckles with his thumb the whole time. Even though a couple of your favorite songs played on the radio, your mind was off in la-la land. Thinking about what a future with not only Tyler but with the Tornado Wranglers looked like. 

From what you had observed before, it was like being famous and being spotted out somewhere. Being surrounded by people reaching and trying to just touch you to then not wash that part of their body for as long as possible because you touched it. You never understood why, as you just viewed it as unsanitary. You could understand getting a picture with them or having them sign something that wasn’t a body part, but anything beyond that was unthinkable for you. 

“Whatcha thinking about over there, gorgeous?” Tyler asked, squeezing your hand. 

“Oh you know, things,” you said, looking over at him with a small smile. 

“Well when you solve all of the problems of the world, let me know,” he said, “I’ll be waitin’ for ya.” 

You giggled softly, leaning your head back and looking out the passenger window. The only problem in the world you were concerned about currently was what your life was going to be with the Storm Riders practically disbanding. You grabbed your phone from the back seat and started typing a text to the Storm Riders chat. 

“Hey, Ty?” You asked softly, staring at your phone. 

“Yeah, baby?” He said, slowing down and putting his right turn signal on. 

“Are you sure me and the two kids on my team can join the Wranglers?” You asked softly. 

“The more the merrier,” he said, looking over and giving you a reassuring smile. 

“Okay,” you said, pulling your other hand away from Tyler’s slowly so you could type faster and more accurately. 

‘Hey Team. It has recently been brought to my attention that Willow, Jade, and Tristan will no longer be with the Storm Riders, effective immediately. I’ve spent the morning with Tyler from the Tornado Wranglers and I will be joining them for the next season. He offered to take Finn and Asher onto his team if they were willing. My mind is set on joining as chasing has become my full-time passion. Without having a scientist, an extra camera operator, and someone to watch the weather besides myself, I don’t see the Storm Riders being able to chase safely. If anyone has any further questions, I will be available to talk in the morning.’ 

“You can put me down for joining the Wranglers,” you said, putting your phone in the cup holder and grabbing Tyler’s hand gently. 

“R-Really?” He asked, stuttering. 

“Why do you sound nervous about it?” You asked, “Yes.” 

“I guess I didn’t expect you to drop your team so quickly,” He said, looking over at you. 

“Well, without half the team I knew we wouldn’t be able to chase safely,” you said, “And I couldn’t risk Finn or Asher’s lives not having the science behind the storms.” 

“What about your own?” He asked, bringing your hand up and kissing the back of it. 

“If I die chasing, then I died doing something I loved,” you said nonchalantly, “My parents know where I stand on my afterlife process and they agree with it. They know I’m stubborn enough to where I won’t stop chasing just because it could kill me.” 

“God damn,” he mumbled softly against the back of your hand.

“What?” You asked, looking at him.

“Call me forward, but I fall more in love with you the longer we’re together,” he said, “And there’s still so much I don’t know ‘bout you.” 

You didn’t even have to look as you could feel your cheeks turning a bright red. How could someone be so egotistical at one point and then so mushy-gushy at another? If storm chasing didn’t pan out, he could easily become an actor and win Oscars or something.

“Either you blush easy, or I really get you goin’,” he chuckled, “Before you get more flustered trying to reply know it’s okay.” 

You glanced over at the clock, 3:12 pm. You had barely spent eight hours with him and he already knew more about you than you had originally thought. 

“I don’t appreciate that you know so much about me yet I feel like I barely know you,” you said, looking at him from over the top of your sunglasses. 

“What do you wanna know, baby girl?” He asked, turning onto a dirt road. 

“Everything and anything,” you said, turning in your seat to face him. 

“Well, I’m sure I’m head over heels for you. I went to the University of Arkansas for meteorology but never finished. My first love of tornadoes came when I was with my aunt and while I was scared, I fell in love with it,” he said, finding a spot with a few trees and a tiny shack. 

“What’s this place?” You asked, figuring you had time to dig more out of him. 

“It’s technically my aunt’s cabin, but she lets me use it whenever,” he said, throwing the truck in park and killing the engine. 

“Is this where you always disappear to?” You asked

“Usually, we’re only a half hour away from Prairie Winds,” he said, getting out and coming to your side of the truck. 

“There isn’t much here, what do you come here for?” You asked, hopping out of the truck once he opened the door for you. 

“To give my mind a chance to think since Boone never shuts up,” he joked, shutting your door and walking up to the small porch. 

You glanced around the area, it was wide open beside a small group of trees with a fire pit in the middle of it, a huge stack of firewood piled between two of the trees. 

“I usually come here to think about life, aside from chasing,” he said, finding the key on his key ring. 

“What about the Black Mesa?” You asked. 

“That’s for the storm-chasing side of my brain,” he said, pushing the door open, “This is the family man side of me and the side that will eventually be left when the chasin’ side can’t keep up.” 

“There’s a family man side to you, too?” You asked, following him through the doorway. 

“Yes, there is, sweetheart,” he sighed, opening the small fridge in the corner and taking out a beer, “I know you prefer whiskey, but you want one?” 

“If that’s all you have,” you said, taking the beer bottle from him and twisting the top off. 

“We can sit in here and relax until it cools off enough for a fire,” he said, walking over to the radio and turning the dial slightly. Mostly static came through until you could barely hear the start of George Strait’s ‘Carried Away.’ 

You smiled slightly, knowing George was your parent's favorite country artist as they would always dance in the kitchen to his music. While you remembered watching them together when you were younger, you felt Tyler grab your hand and pull you close to him. 

“Can we try this again without me being buzzed?” He asked, setting his bottle down. 

“I suppose we could,” you said, setting yours down and flattening your shirt slightly from being scrunched up in the truck. 

He wrapped his arm around your waist, holding your right hand in his left. You slid your left hand up to his bicep and gave it a light squeeze. 

“I don’t take my whiskey to extremes,” George sang over the radio, “Don’t believe in chasin’ crazy dreams.” 

While swaying your hips together as if you’d done it all your life, Tyler rested his forehead on yours and hummed along softly. 

“My feet are planted firmly on the ground,” George sang, “But darlin’ when you come around.” 

You pulled your forehead away from his and looked into his eyes which were full of love and happiness. This made your insides warm up and soothe your thoughts that were going a million miles per hour. 

“I get carried away by the look by the light in your eyes. Before I even realize the ride I’m on, baby, I’m long gone,” Tyler softly sang while looking down at you, “I get carried away, nothing matters but being with you. Like a feather flying high up in the sky on a windy day, I get carried away.” 

He leaned closer to you, your noses rubbing together gently. 

“Can I kiss you?” He asked softly, his lips brushing against yours.

Fixing up

Tom and ___ just got done finishing a movie and were now cuddling and enjoying each others company talking about stuff that's happening in their classes/ in their life.

Tom decides to wrap him arm around her back leaning in a tad bit but still leaving quite a gap, but not enough of a gap because ___ could see how bad his hair was getting and how badly it needed a re-twist.

"Tommie your hair is so outgrown you need to re-twist it" she whines tugging at one of the dreads closest to her. "I know, mum keeps on telling me too but i cant be assed" he groans taking the dread back from the girl.

"Ooo Tommie i could do it for you, pretty pleaseee" she beggs with puppy dog eyes "i promise it wont hurt cherries on top". After a few seconds he gives it to her begging and before he realises shes gone and down the hall starting the bath for him hair.

He gets up and cracks his back "my back is gonna kill me after this" thinking back to the time where him mum had his head over the sink to get his hair re-twisted when it was wet.

As he waddled to the bath room he sees a comfy chair with pillows and blankets all huddled around with bill dvd player with some movies stacked next to it.

"Ta da, do you like, i remember you telling me how it hurt when your mum did it cause of the tub so i thought this would be better, don't tell bill i have this tho he'll kill me" she giggles patting the chair in front of her.

"I could get used to this" he says a smirk on him face as he plops down on the chair taking his hair tie out of his hair, he feels soft hands rake through the dreads and he sinks into her touch, slowly drifting off.

He groggily opened his yes when he heard giggling, he looked his shoulder and saw the girl had packed all the things away and was leaning against the bench.

He still heard giggling even tho it was not coming from the girl, confused he looked towards the door and saw Bill, his mother and his step father all crowed by the door giggling.

He looked down and saw that bill had a camera in his hand he put two and two together that he had fallen asleep and bill had taken photos of him,

Him face when bright red in embarrassment and lunged forward to bill to grab the camera off of him but bill slipped away, Tom got tugged back by a soft hand on his own, he instantly knew it was the girl and didn't try to hard to pull back as he hung his face.

As the 2 adults walked away she closed the door, spewing complements that made his face even redder "stopp" he would whine but she just kept on going.

After a few minutes of this they hear a car pull up and Toms mother yells "___, your parents are here to pick you up" as she grabs the last of her things from the bath room she hugs tom goodbye whispering in his ear.

"You are such a cutie sleeper Tommie, i love you, see you at school" kissing his cheek goodbye. As he stands there shocked at what just happened he blushed again.

'Click' he hears and sees bill with his camera taking more pictures of him "Get back here BIll. UGH im gonna kill you!!" Tom yells at his Brother as he runs down the hall squealing.

You Gotta Buy Them a Rose… (Kakyoin x Reader Headcanons)

↳ Headcanon list of how the other Crusaders advise Kakyoin on how he should ask you out. Gender neutral Reader with they/them pronouns. Everyone lives AU. Polnareff and Avdol are written as a couple because it’s canon.

A/n: This idea came to me late at night and I physically couldn’t stop working on it until I was done. The Crusaders are all disasters and Kakyoin is especially so for thinking asking them for relationship advice is a good idea. Hope y’all enjoy!

Warning(s): Canon-typical swearing.

There’s no point in denying it: Kakyoin’s fallen head over heels for you.

And although the feeling is a foreign one, it’s not unwelcome. Suddenly, all music gushing about a love dropping into one’s life unexpectedly makes complete sense to him. Every gushy line, every cliché- it all circles back to you in his mind.

Kakyoin’s confident… mostly.

While a part of him does fear rejection, his main concern is how to even approach asking you out. As much as those previously mentioned picture-perfect serenades remind him of you, they’re not exactly something to rely on. Especially not movies or TV shows.

He doesn’t necessarily want to wait for you to ask him, figuring that since he likes you, he should man up and ask himself. Truly, he does want to take the initiative.

So, he goes to the other Crusaders for advice. After all, they’re his closest circle of friends. At the very least, he knows he’d pull honest answers each of them…

#1: Joseph Joestar

Well… he is married, after all.

That was Kakyoin’s line of reasoning. It’s not a bad assessment to make. Sure, Mr. Joestar is a little goofy at times. But clearly, whatever he’s doing has got to work… right? 

Clearing his throat first, Kakyoin asked Mr. Joestar on what he thinks he should do.

The elderly man’s eyes lit up almost instantly, and a wide grin followed. His immediate excitement brought a smile to Kakyoin’s face as well, a little touched by the sincerity of Mr. Joestar’s glee.

So what went wrong? He started talking.

He began detailing how “delicate” the development of romance is. That he’s got to flirt and flirt and flirt and flirt. All while boasting about how Kakyoin went to the right person despite very clearly having no clue what he was talking about.

“Just tell me… what worked for you, Mr. Joestar?”

“Well, I flirted with her- that’s key. I won her heart with my smooth charisma. Then… uh… don’t remember exactly what happened after that. But! I know she nursed me back to health after I got injured and then we got married. Yeah… that’s pretty much what happened. I think.”

“Wait… you never asked Mrs. Joestar out on a date before marrying her?”

“No.”

“Have you asked anyone on a date before?”

“Yes… uh, maybe. I don’t really remember.”

Mortified; Kakyoin was absolutely mortified.

After sitting through Mr. Joestar’s lecture, Kakyoin politely gave him his thanks. With a forced smile, he told him he’d think over his advice.

The old man seemed pleased with that, at least.

Truthfully, the only thing Kakyoin thought over after the conversation was why on earth he asked a man who got married in the 1930s for relationship advice.

#2: Muhammad Avdol

Okay, okay… so Mr. Joestar’s advice wasn’t Kakyoin’s speed. That’s fine. It was sort of nice hearing about Mr. Joestar’s youth (Kakyoin’s doing his best to stay positive).

Honestly, he doesn’t know what he was thinking. Going to Mr. Joestar first…? Really?

Surely Avdol would give him better advice. He is much more levelheaded, and it’s likely in part due to that quality that his relationship with Polnareff is sailing smoothly.

Plus, the two didn’t get married after a couple of months at most! Now we’re talking.

Avdol seemed humbled at the question; grateful that Kakyoin trusted him enough to ask.

The two shared a laugh over Mr. Joestar’s goofy approach to giving advice. The two adults are old friends, and Kakyoin couldn’t help himself. He knew Avdol would get a kick out of it.

Afterwards, Avdol went on to offer his own wisdom on the subject. It’s as straightforward as it gets. His attitude on the matter is simply, “Just go ahead and ask them out.”

His reasoning is that worrying about waiting too long or fussing over the perfect moment is just going to cause more anxiety to fill his mind. He understood the worry; we were all 17 once. But (a bit ominously) Avdol warned he’d likely regret procrastinating.

It’s something Kakyoin definitely needed to hear.

Out of everyone, Avdol’s advice is the most reasonable. That said, Kakyoin can’t help but feel like he should still do something besides just asking. Because he genuinely thinks you deserve something sweet- something thought out.

He told Avdol this, and the Egyptian man hummed while tapping his chin. After mulling it over for a moment, he turned back to Kakyoin with a smile.

“Would you like me to do a tarot reading on it?”

#3: Jean Pierre Polnareff

Kakyoin’s getting desperate.

The tarot reading was interesting, though. According to Avdol, the odds are in his favor. That said, he’s not going to leave this up to fate only.

And there’s no wingman in the world better than Polnareff.

He’s known about Kakyoin’s feelings for you for a long time. Although annoying at times, the Frenchman is usually very perceptive when it comes to romance (in any relationship other than his own). He was the first to ever say something about it, much to Kakyoin’s chagrin.

When Kakyoin finally came to him for help, Polnareff was just as ecstatic as Mr. Joestar had been.

He’s quick tease the teen about it, going on and on about how it was “only a matter of time before you’d need my expertise.” The more he talked, the more Kakyoin regretted his decision.

That said, the redhead does admit that Polnareff brought up one interesting point.

“Environment.”

“Pardon?”

“It’s not so much how you ask them out- but where.”

Polnareff says that scenic surroundings certainly adds to the mood and may even heighten his confidence beforehand. Not only that, but taking you somewhere with the intention of asking you out shows implicit initiative. It shows care; which is something Polnareff is sure you’ll recognize.

The advice was quite sound, to Kakyoin’s surprise. At this point, he wasn’t expecting much. Too bad Polnareff- much like Mr. Joestar -was too busy boasting most of the conversation.

Towards the end of their discussion, Polnareff assured Kakyoin that it would all be good. He would know! He knows all about relationships. He did ask Avdol out, after all. Just as he said that, Avdol walked in with a raised eyebrow.

“You didn’t ask me out. I did; after weeks of you walking circles around me.”

Polnareff cleared his throat, and was damn near ready to start shoving Kakyoin out the door. “Okay! Thanks for the talk Kakyoin; remember what I said! See you later then!”

#4: Jotaro Kujo

“Good grief… why the hell are you asking me that?”

Honestly, Kakyoin has no idea himself.

What was he thinking? His best friend’s clear disinterest in romantic relationships is the reason why he went to the others in the first place. Why ask Jotaro for relationship advice?

Ask Jotaro for relationship advice… it doesn’t even sound right.

That said, Kakyoin’s still a bit bitter about it. If not, at least petty. He decided afterward that the next time Jotaro goes to him looking for advice, he’ll give him the same exact response.

I kind of hinted at it in previous posts but I’m kind of fascinated and very amused by how Peri is low-key a daddy’s boy in New Wish.

For those asking, the things that make me call Peri a daddy’s boy are 1. Cosmo being the more cuddly parents and taking the situation more seriously than Wanda when it comes to their son, 2. Peri taking a lot after Cosmo personality-wise, and 3. looking back Peri seems to have more patience towards Cosmo than he does Wanda, though I definitely think that last point is a bit of a stretch and not something the writers actually intended.

Giving examples for these three elements under the cut (1k words):

1. Cosmo being the more cuddly parent:

- In “Lost and Founder’s Day” he cries about missing his son

- in “Battle of the Dimmsonian” when reuniting with Peri he’s the first to speak and gushes about him

- Same in “Lost in Fairy World” with him taking pictures and being the first to gush about Peri, calling him his and Wanda’s baby boy later on too and also the small hug when talking about the tracking devices

- Again in “Operation Birthday Takeback” he throws himself at Peri at the beginning (granted I see this more as Wanda respecting her son’s boundaries) and then is more openly gushy when Peri agrees to give them a tour (and I still adore this moment, those three are so goddamn cute!!!)

- At the end of “Dig a Little Deeper” when Peri snaps back at Dev, Cosmo joins in to back up his son

- Cosmo spends the whole show hiding behind Wanda when scared and/or stressed out yet in “Best of Luck” he straight up starts a fight, all because Irep was insulting Peri; and while he does also stand up against Vicky in “Operation Birthday Takeback”, 1. He was doing so with Wanda, 2. Vicky was playing the nice act so they didn’t feel in immediate danger and 3. Cosmo brings up Timmy in this scene, Timmy being basically his adopted son so it’s still a show of his paternal instincts

- Oh yeah and at the end of “Best of Luck” Cosmo visibly hugs tighter, tho it’s worth noting Wanda is the one hugging tighter at the beginning of “Lost In Fairy World” (goes against my argument but I like being throughout)

- In “Battle of Big Wand” Wanda tends to Peri by standing next to him and rubbing his back while Cosmo straight up holds him in his arms. Also Cosmo does it for longer than Wanda. Also also when Wanda tries to talk Dev into helping them and starts insulting him a little, Cosmo catches it and calls her out through gritted teeth, taking the situation more seriously than her

2. Peri is a lot like Cosmo:

- The persona he puts on when trying to look professional has been compared by many to Cosmo’s personality in the “Oh Yeah” shorts. Also I stumbled across what’s apparently a tweet of one of the creators confirming that the voice actor took inspiration on either “Oh Yeah” shorts Cosmo or early seasons Cosmo for the voice

- I’ve also seen comments on a “everytime Peri talks” youtube compilation pointing out how his voice is a lot higher-pitched past his introduction scene, comparing it to Cosmo’s voice gradually getting higher-pitched as the og show went on

- Wasn’t sure where to put it but in “Battle of the Dimmsonian” Peri makes a comment about Cosmo having the heebie-jeebies, showing his dad easily comes to his mind (at least when he knows he’s around)

- In “Battle of the Dimmsonian” the potato wish suggestion; like between the body language and things Peri says, this is pure Cosmo right here (and for some reason I find it very funny)

- In a similar but opposite way, at the end of “Lost in Fairy World” when the fairies hug their kids, Cosmo’s nervous comment about the kids being alive is similar to how Peri acts when stressed out

- There’s a few moments of Peri having a similar expression to Cosmo, those being them eating candies at the beginning of “Lost in Fairy World”, while Wanda is talking after teleporting to Jorgen’s office in that same episode, still in that episode them hugging the godkids at the end, the beginning of “Operation Birthday Takeback” right as Peri escapes Cosmo’s hug, and them waiting for Wanda for a hug at the end of the finale. Granted in “Operation Birthday Takeback” Wanda and Peri have a similar expression when the “computer” lights up after Cosmo danced on it (right before Cosmo hides behind Wanda)

- Peri’s a bit of a cowards, constantly cowering whenever Dev raises his voice (which kills me everytime bc Peri wtf?! You’re a magical godlike creature! Why are you scared of that ten years old child?! And why being so visibly intimidated at the slightest raise of voice?! Who hurt you?!) and as said before Cosmo has a tendency to hide behind Wanda, so yeah he gets it from his dad; and no I’m not including his reaction to Vicky as proof of being scared easily bc there was clearly some trauma here that caused his reaction

- Because I like being throughout, it is worth noting Peri took his mom’s braincells (literally in this show) and flair for the dramatic; but for the most part other than that he seems to take after Cosmo

Now this one I’m incredibly unsure about as it could just be coincidences but yeah you have some moments in which Peri seems more annoyed with Wanda than Cosmo. For example at the beginning of “Lost in Fairy World”, he tries to escape the camera and looks annoyed when Cosmo gushes about him but doesn’t outright says anything. But when Wanda does the same, he pushes her away and audibly calls her out.

Likewise later on when his parents interrupt him, Peri has a sarcastic laugh with Cosmo but looks more angry with Wanda. Then there’s also “Operation Birthday Takeback” with him trying to escape Cosmo’s hug at the beginning but again not vocally expressing his annoyance, but later on when Wanda makes a cringy comment to the godkids (the “welcome to your dad’s spooky lair”) Peri whines about it.

Now again, those are like three small examples and I don’t think it actually means anything, but since I’m talking about Peri potentially being closer to his dad might as well point this out.

And when I say it doesn’t mean anything, an example from “Lost in Fairy World” I didn’t mention is when Cosmo and Wanda tell Dev he can’t go to Fairy World. Peri doesn’t say anything when Cosmo talks but interrupts when Wanda does. But in that case, I think Peri would have done the same thing to Cosmo had Wanda been the first to talk, it’s more of a coincidence that Wanda was the second to talk here and as a result the one Peri shut down. Hell you could say the same thing about the later scene of them interrupting him, maybe he seems angrier at Wanda because it’s the second time he gets interrupted. Seokjin:

"Where are we?", Jin asked as he closed the car door. He took in his surroundings; trees that went on for miles, a little stream and a rock lined path leading to who knows what. Y/n had called him the day before and asked if he'd like to go on a picnic. Jin and Y/n bonded over cooking when they had first met so they had decided to cook a few secret dishes and bring picnic baskets to surprise each other. Y/n opened the trunk of the car and took out the picnic baskets, giggling and telling Jin to be patient and to follow behind. They walked along the path and stumbled open a flower field at the end. The field was well-manicured and decorated the landscape with hues of pink, orange and yellow flowers. There were tables to sit at and luckily they were all empty. Which was convenient for Jin as privacy was hard to come by.

They picked the table closest to the edge of the flower field and started to unpack their baskets.

Over the next hour they swapped recipes, complimented each other's cooking skills and took a bunch of photos of the flowers. Jin couldn't think of a more perfect day. That was until Y/n pulled out ankther item from her basket; a flower crown.

"I thought you'd look good with it on...", she said shyly as she handed it over to Jin.

He immediately took the crown and put it on, excitedly asking Y/n to take his picture.

"Do I look good? if not then take another one!"

Not only did Yoongi not want to go outside, but he especially didn't want to go on a hike.

Y/n had called him, asking if he was free over the weekend. Which brings Yoongi to the action. The actual hike. He and Y/n had at least been hiking for an hour and Yoongi was over it. And just about when he was ready to start complaining, Y/n came to a halt and told him they should stop where they were. Yoongi wasn't gonna protest that as he fell to the ground, tired and sweaty. And a little hungry.

That's when a beaming Y/n returned into his field of vision with a picnic basket in hand.

"Where'd you get that from?", Yoongi asked as he sat up, opening the basket and studying its contents. He picked a bottle of water out of the basket and immediately took a sip; yep, he was tired, sweaty, hungry and thirsty too.

Y/n started to explain "Well, I know you hate all of this stuff but I felt like it was a no pain, no gain situation. So your pain was the hike", Y/n clasped her hands together before continuing, "But the gain was a picnic!", Y/n exclaimed.

Yoongi side eyed her as he looked through the basket again, digging out a sandwich.

"You coudve just asked me to go on a picnic, why was with the torture aspect?", he explained. To be completely honest, Yoongi was more interested in the sandwich than the conversation at that point. Plus he needed the energy to climb all the way back down later.

"Well, I can see how you feel about my hike slash picnic. But what about..."Y/n was rummaging through the basket, "This", she said handing him the crown made of flowers. So voila, had there been no hike, then you never would've gotten this flower crown."

Yoongi couldn't help but face palm, trying to conceal his laugh but failing miserably.

Since spring was in full bloom, Hoseok had decided to take Y/n to a garden exhibit in Seoul. He had gone the year before and had made a mental note to bring Y/n there, as he liked to spend as much time as he could with her.

As he and Y/n walked around the different exhibits in the greenhouses and outside markets,Y/n started to get hungry. Hoseok, being prepared, had anticipated this and knew of another booth that sold picnic baskets. So after buying one and sitting down at a table near a flower exhibit that looked to be right out of a flower field in a painting, they started talking. It wasn't until about ten minutes into their picnic when Y/n looked up and noticed something behind Hoseok. He furrowed his brows in confusion at Y/n but she stated she needed to get napkins and would be back in a minute. Hoseok shrugged and went to check on his phone while waiting for Y/n.

It wasn't until he felt a tap on his shoulder when he turned around and was meet with the sight of Y/n holding a flower crown.

"I noticed a lady walking around selling these so I wanted to buy you one Hobi", Y/n said smiling.

Hoseok gasped, jumping off his seat and eagerly trying it on. He loved it.

"Where's that lady? I have to buy you one too."

Namjoon:

Namjoon had been anticipating your scheduled picnic all week. Working late nights in the studio had been getting to him and what better way to unwind than to spend a day with one of his favorite people out in nature.

You two sat on the blanket laid out on the grass, flowers surrounding the perimeter of the gingham blanket. It was a cliche picnic. And by cliche, Namjoon was surprised by the fact the Y/n owned so much gingham picnic wear.

As they sat on the blanket and caught up on life, Namjoon commented on the vibrant flowers. Naming a few he recognized. It was then that Y/n got an idea. She got up and walked around the field, picking some of the flowers and started to twist them. At first Namjoon wasn't sure about what Y/n was doing until she approached him, placing the crown on top of his head.

"Awww Joonie you look so cute!",

Y/n said. Namjoon blushed and took it off so he could admire it.

"This is actually pretty good", he said, which in return made Y/n blush. "Can you teach me how to make one?"

Jimin:

A picnic had actually been Jimin's idea. He was trying to get Y/n to pick up on the fact that he liked her. So he thought maybe a 'romantic' picnic would help.

As Y/n and Jimin laid out on a picnic blanket, Jimin turned to look at Y/n and brushed a few stray hairs out of her face. Y/n blushed, mumbling that she needed to get a headband from the car. Jimin laughed and pointed at the flowers surrounding them. "Make a headband out of flowers instead.", he said teasingly.

Y/n raised her eyebrows, "You think I could?", she said as she started rummaging through the grass looking for flowers. Jimin decided to join her, the end result being two weird crown looking things. They exchanged 'crowns' and laughed at each other.

"Jimin yours looks less like a gift from nature and more like a freak of nature", Y/n said laughing. Jimin scoffed.

"Not funny, yours barely stays put. It keeps falling off"

Overall a good afternoon.

Taehyung:

Y/n and Taehyung had gone to the park with Yeontan, and actually decided to have a mock picnic in a little flower patch.

Yeontan was running around and Taehyung and Y/n sat across from each other talking. Throughout their conversation, Y/n had been fiddling with a bunch of flowers she had picked throughout the picnic and had tied together the picked flowers into a flower crown.

As Taehyung was talking he looked down and saw the crown in Y/n's hands.

"Oooo, what's that?", Taehyung questioned before grabbing it. "A flower crown? Cute", he said smiling as he tried it on and started to make a series of faces. Y/n laughed and pulled out her phone to take pictures of Taehyung wearing the flower crown. "Tae, I think it's too small for you, it'd probably fit on Yeontan", Y/n said as she took the crown from a now pouty Taehyung and placed it on a now confused Yeontan. They both laughed as Yeontan spun around trying to figure out what had been placed on his head.

"I look better than him", said Taehyung, skimming throuythe pictures you had taken of him.

Jungkook:

Unlike Yoongi, Jungkook loved to be outside and loved a good physical challenge. So when he was offered to go on a hike with you, he eagerly accepted.

Though Jungkook or Y/n didn't think to bring a picnic basket, they both brought backpacks for the hike with food and water and a towel to sit down on. So, basically a picnic set up.

And though it wasn't planned. After two hours on the trail, and after a few 5-10 minute stops, they decided to set up camp for an hour before heading back towards the entrance of the trail. This so happened to be in the wide open flower field.

After eating and talking, plus a little teasing about who had better stamina on the hike, Y/n got an idea.

"I bet I'm more intune with nature than you, I could make one of those flower crowns I see all the time online", she said teasingly.

"Is that a threat", Jungkook asked, playing along. "How about a challenge? Who ever can make one faster gets to be carried down the trail."

I think both Atsushi and Dazai have the kind of ptsd where if someone else is upset they get really anxious/worried it’s their fault, but Atsushi would probably try to make the situation better or offer the sad person a lil present vs Dazai would just cry and maybe try to reach for the upset person to give them hugs

Thank yooou! Ok soooo I think for this one I'm gonna talk about the bond I share with my 2nd Monster Prom f/o Brian because he actually is the biggest sweetheart. ESPECIALLY IN OUR RELATIONSHIP.

Ok ok so we have the kind of relationship that's like "Wanna go to breakfast at 3 AM just because we can?" And then we take goofy little meme pictures for our photo album because he won't admit it out loud but he is so sweet. So cheesy. I'm just more vocal because to be honest (yall probably know by now based on my posts) I'm very mushy gushy soft reassure my baby boy baby zombie husband. We tend to nap a lot together which is incredibly beneficial because he is sleepy in general and I get tired soooo easily so when we nap it's always so nice each time, even when it happens a lot. He is so tall. So so tall compared to me. TOWERS. For reference I believe he's like at least 6'2 and I am 4'11. But tbh he makes me feel better about being short because then he has to bend to give me kisses on my forehead. Definitely quality time & touch for love languages. I'm moreso words of affirmation and quality time so it works. In conclusion he is so sweet and relaxed which balances out my anxiousness. I lovey Brian.

Love isn’t something you feel, though. It’s something you do. And so,

loving someone is loving who they are.

When people feel that they are not understood, it frequently is due to not enough empathy going both ways...

Here, one is actually saying: “I was in love with the fantasy relationship I wanted him/her to give me, but s/he wasn't offering me that; (I didn't like the way s/he was treating me)”.

Whatever you understand about your partner is your perspective. It is not what s/he really is. Whatever you attribute to your partner is in relation to you.

True love is based on accepting each other as they are... and you can't love something that you actually don't like... you can't love the other one if you don't actually enjoy the way s/he makes you feel.

Preferences are more about us than the other person, so first, try to give yourself what you are seeking from your date or partner.

Love isn't about trying to change someone to fit our idea of perfect.

What's more,

Forever, one can not fully understand the other one at all. This is the beauty of how they were created. Therefore, there is conflict between them.

Even within ourselves, there are/can be some deep-seated subconscious behaviours and beliefs that we don’t understand.

It is about accepting the whole person, even the parts you don't fully understand or agree with.

People's personalities change and grow over time. As you go through life together, you'll see new sides of each other. True love allows for that growth and accepts the ever-changing nature of your partner, even as their outer personality shifts. 

Any relationship is in a state of change, part of which is continuous knowledge of the other.

And hence, constant effort is needed to accept and adjust themselves to keep up with the changing lifestyles along the way with the changing society.

It takes time to grow together. And we want the maturity in a relationship that comes with time, the emotional connect that develops over years, that sense of belonging when we barely even know the other person... Apparently, nothing is worth our time, effort, and patience. Not even love. Relationships, however, require energy and participation.

Cognitive biases can be particularly damaging because they distort our perceptions and interpretations of our partners' actions and motives.

Cognitive bias is so difficult to acknowledge, understand, or be aware of within ourselves because we actively protect our beliefs. Sometimes, this means denying truth or new information that comes to us (a la cognitive dissonance).

In addition,

Depressed people don’t have the energy, and if they are caught up in the very common mode of isolation because of their depression they are definitely not participating... sometimes, there is an element of mental illness involved in this arena in general.

Lastly,

We don't really need an intellectual twin who can finish our sentences.

And that level of interconnection isn’t necessary. As long as they treat you appropriately, even if they don’t understand you completely, you can still have a very fulfilling relationship.

Love is a commitment, not about the mushy gushy feelings.

Let the commitment be the beginning of understanding.

Too often, in this culture, we cloud the picture, overanalyze, fear those conscious efforts, and insist that love means something very definable and ultimately acceptable — don’t get sucked into the madness, stay in your true path and please, please find a partner who is similar to you (i.e., hold similar values), who cares about your thoughts and feelings, and genuinely enjoys your company.

And read “The 5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. It’s eye-opening to realize that someone may be figuratively shouting their love from the rooftops — but you aren’t “hearing” it. Communication is key, as long as you understand your partner’s language.

practicing gratitude 4/12

something just flipped in me again, as things do inside of ol me. i made a new playlist. my constant yearning is reflected in it obviously. the basic premise is to emulate waking up with someone you love. simple enough. i don't know why but it made me think of the bigger picture in a way. how i live my life now. how i sleep in the sun and feel it on my individual skin. how wonderful is that. while it is nice to enjoy those moments with someone else, i still love it just as much when i do it on my own. that brought to me a bigger thought. in all this time that i am longing for love, i am forgetting the love in my own life. the amount of love that radiates from me just living my own personal life. there will be a day where i am done with college. i won;t get these moments back and i spend the moments that i am here wishing it were something else. i can live without love. i can be happy without someone else. i brought myself up from nothing. when i was at my lowest i was the one who nurtured myself back to health. no one esle did that for me. would it be nice to have someone by my side, sure, i never said that would not be that case, but i need to put a lot more emphasis on how capable i am on my own. he won't fix my life because he hasn't before. i am the only one who has done that. when i look out my window =, i ponder the night that i first met him and someone when i would look outside with the other man. never do i think of the countless times that i sit with myself by this very window. i am a pure light. light doesn't always need to be reflected onto something, you can just look at its source and go... wow. i am capable, i am whole, i am BEAUTIFUL. not only beautiful on the outside but soooo wonderful as a person. i enjoy the arts and music and literature. i make others feel cared for. i can sit by myself and be entertained by own thoughts. i am also funny. i am easy to talk to and can connect with others so easily. I AM LOVE AND OTHERS CAN FEEL THAT. there are so many people that love me in so many ways. there is so much more to life than romantic love. to make my whole life about others is sacrificial in a way that is not self benefitting. sacrificial not in a way that jesus stood pinned to the cross. sacrificial not in killing a lamb for a god of personal choosing. that inflects onto ones self in a positive way. maybe i became the lamb. thinking that giving my life, soul, and body would be for a greater purpose when in the end i was just dead. sweetie pie is me. i am the only one of me. the only person on earth that can experience the world in the way that i do. sure other people can live my life the exact way that i do, but they would not be doing it as me, i should appreciate that more. the blessing it is to be me. and through gratitude i will live my life being more mindful. they did have a point. there is something to be said about advice and how we can only truly see it and its value after the fact. meditating and such. SITTING WITH MYSELF AND MY THOUGHTS!!! YAY!! i can caress my own face. touch myself with care and look into the mirror. give myself an adoring look. the one that when someone gives you, it makes you feel all gushy inside. i can make myself finish and i have more times than anyone on earth. if i can figure out the mechanics i can kiss myself. i am the same soft being made of the same materials as anyone who i've ever loved. i've looked into the most battered and broken people and found love, so it is time to turn that inward. loving and living life as miss myc
