what if the most upgraded form of your keyblade that represents your memories of me is subtitled with your name. just boy things ig. what if the most upgraded form of your keyblade that represents your memories of me is a nebulous word that could mean anything from the concept of a heart to the real chest to the mind. one of the defining things of the series. is it defining of our relationship?
are the immaterial and natural equally important? are they equally important to you who has adventured over the universe? is it more important to share another's hurt than be shielded from it? do you resent me for holding you back when you tried to reach out? do you resent me for breaking apart everything we knew?

#kh#in kh2 especially oathkeeper is a blade less useful for combat than it is for training. in re:coded its defensive capabilities are second t#none. oblivion is a strange fellow. in re:coded it steals your life force in exchange for greater power#unlike its very first appearance in kh it provides superior attack and magic boosts. it makes you attack faster in contrast to oathkeeper#removing status effects. many things. it can freeze enemies and enact critical damage where oathkeeper heals#in kh3 you only obtain oathkeeper from finding Every Fucking Hidden Mickey#and for oblivion its only for completing the game on critical mode#these keyblades are. a LOT

(as far as we know, keyblades aren’t genetic so it probably wouldn’t work exactly like this but) I LOVE the thought of Ephemera showing his kids starlight for the first time, only for it to disappear out of his hand because his 5 year old daughter wanted to hold it badly that she subconsciously summoned it to her. Starlight has apparently chosen her and she’s now the youngest keyblade wielder in history

im not complaining that the manga is taking a while, but the kh3 manga is gonna show us the scene of ventus and roxas interacting finally in the next chapter and im rattling back and forth at the idea of the artist depiction
#kingdom hearts#stormy weather#the manga has been going a mile a minute#it barely gives time nor dialogue to a lot of the stuff going on in keyblade graveyard#but the times it DOES slow down even a teeny bit#golden#there's a moment where ven is about to go with sora to help fight#and he just gets insanely dizzy and sora's like '???? BRO SIT DOWN'#it's such a tiny but nice interaction#considering how sora just treats ven like a coworker for the rest of the game despite the uh#THE INSANE relationship the two of them have

#kh riku#riku kingdom hearts#kingdom hearts riku#riku kh#dream eater riku#kingdom hearts#kh#kingdom hearts dream drop distance#kh ddd#blue boi draws#ink october#ink october 2024#ink October 2024 day 11#I think this one might be my favourite of this years#it’s simple but I really like how it turned out#anyway Riku as a firebreak but instead of fire it’s darkness. guy who is darkness resistant who helps keep back the darkness#Riku using his darkness as a sorta ‘controlled burn’ method of fighting darkness#honestly darkness as a natural force vs darkness as a corrupting force… Riku having natural darkness and using it in a controlled way#to avoid build up that could be used against him by others with ill intentions#honestly Riku and how he deals with his darkness is really interesting. like local 16-17 yo figures out stuff on his own that keyblade#wielders have struggled with for ages. I think his method would be a big help to Terra in particular.#I feel like what Xehanort was teaching him was less controlled burn and more use it with reckless abandon. like he talked a lot of shit#about ‘controlling the darkness’ but we know he was just trying to foster the darknesses control on Terra so he could use it to fuck with#him. Terra would definitely be hesitant to try to learn again after that but hopefully Riku will be able to communicate the base idea of it#inbetween searching for Sora.#honestly Darkness and it’s connection to fire is interesting to me. there’s maleficents green fire. that one move Riku uses a lot.#the appearance of darkness resembling fire is common (it’s either that or goop. shout out to darkness goop) which is odd#because fire is a light bringer. it’s probably meant to pull on the consuming power of fire but still#anyway i love him

#i don't think they'd have full teams during KHUX bc i imagine they'd still be fighting heartless and gather lux with their keyblades#and full parties would require a lot of time and care to properly maintain#so i'm thinking 'okay let's limit them to like two or three and see if we can type theme them'#lauriam with a roserade and lilligant (the lilligant was strelitzia's petilil until she got Got(tm))#and as marly he'd lean more into the grass/poison types#ephemer with a whimsicott and gardevoir; de facto dandelion pokemon (pretend eldegoss/jumpluff don't exist) and repping fairy types#skuld with a gallade and golett; gallade paralleling w/ eph. no specific typing (yet)#elrena with a blitzle; evolves into zebstrika during her larxene era#ven with flying types? there's a lot of directions you could go w/ khux!ven so idk so far#brain i like to imagine specializes in dark types but doesn't actually battle often enough for them to be evolved. so murkrow and sneasel#maybe a crobat too to really give away how his enigmatic nature can't hide how deeply he cares#strelly grass like lauriam. probably won't give her more than petillil bc they'd all be left behind when she dies so :(#post-subject x i think skuld would gravitate towards ground types#bc i have the mental image of an older skuld riding a flygon and i think that's sick as HELL#ground is kinda out of left field but like. i feel it in my bones.#talking tag#khux#pokemon
