Like genuinely, I get so lost in the desire to get proportions/details right that I just stress myself out of practicing at all. However I love your art dearly, and it's making easier for me to just. ok not to be insane but the whole tom putting the bidding sticker on greg situ is SO indicative of their entire relationship bc its all about Tom’s desire for control and ownership over something (due to him feeling powerless and out of control in his relationship with shiv). Him putting that sticker on Greg wasnt just a hehe ill look after you way it was much more ‘I own you. You are reliant on me now and I OWN you’. Which is a sentiment that is the very FABRIC of their relationship, calling back to the ‘I will not let go of what is mine’ water bottle scene. Obsessed actually

I feel like Mac & Dennis had to have SOME in-universe rationalization for getting rid of all of their furniture and all I could come up with was

A) sold (or attempted and failed to sell) their preexisting furniture to invest in their awesome new inflatable furniture business

B) to make room for their inflatable furniture business inventory (would be a literal explanation for the 'no room' comment) or

C) they had actually been renting NOT JUST the couch but the beds and chairs and etc, and panicked upon discovering this was a dumb as fuck move

Look I like Beastars but I will admit for a series that like explores dynamics of Carnivores and Herbivores, coexisting excetera especially in the later arc - especially with Melon- like I see what they were going for and its cool but at the same time like Yahya's whole thing of wanting things clear cut and like what would you call something that has traits of both or whatever,

like Buddy. That is called an Omnivore.

Also just trying to make such a clean line of Herbivore v Carnivore ends up leaving a strange spot of how to categorize animals.

Anteaters may not hunt or need like full on meat but technically they still be eating other animals with insects so lumping them in with herbivores is a strange choice.

More confusing is this choice I noticed of Hippos being put with the carnivores??? Yeah they dangerous mf with bad tempers but they are full on herbivores their stomachs ain't made for meat.

I'm not saying I expect or even some giant societal deep dive on how it works just idk throw in an off hand comment.

An Omniverous animal complaining they are seen the same as Carnivores.

A small carnivore voicing some kind of concern for their own safety. Because you know if one is hungry and the desperate enough a larger Carnivore/Predatore will for sure attack a smaller one

Imagine just a quick side scene of Gohin treating like a Deer, some herbivore who idk maybe they'd been living on the streets/otherwise not eating well so in an act of desperation attacked and killed a small animal (because altho not designed for in worse case scenario and need be some herbivores can and will eat meat when lacking like protein/ something in their diet)

Doesn't need to be a focus just another of his patients you happen to see during one of Legoshi's visits or something.

Still think it's weird the choice of making Venom seem like it's some kind of idk acid/ dangerous chemical that even just touching your skin is bad.

Personally I think it would have been interesting if, what if other animals fear of reptiles especially those who are venomous was based on like misinformation.

Every animal of course knows that venom is dangerous and can cause serious damage even kill you but beyond that a lot of animals/ everyday folk perhaps don't understand exactly how it works / assuming it's basically the same as Poison where in sometimes all you have to do is touch it and let it absorb in your skin or ingest it to be harmed. Instead of needing to be injected- and also the fact that Reptiles CAN control their venom (dry bites are a thing)

I'd say a flaw with both Beastars and Zootopia (or anything else with like X animals can't get along or whatever) Is the idea that animals are always fighting, eating each other and can never just live together??? Cause like yah sure obviously predators gotta eat, prey gonna get eaten but the vast majority of the time animals just be chilling. As long as everyone keeps to their own space / doesn't do anything to set the other animal(s) off they cool that's just how nature IS.

Actually talking about dreams reminded me that i had a dream with Grim before he even had a name or was even a character of mine!! I can't believe i forgot about that the only reason i even know about it is bc i found some old text messages where i talked about it and it must have been such a defining moment i decided i must share it with someone at 03:40 am

Reporting from the future, according to past me: "the god of death visited me in my dream" and "he was very fun" and "he sang to me in latin". I also thought it was an omen but wasn't sure if it was a good or bad one. I also said "hes a trickster ofc hed love to visit you and scare you" (to friend i was messaging). Thats literally just Grim. Like all of this fits him except he looks a little different today; like his hair isn't pale blond its just white, and his eyes aren't dark but red, but i guess. They can be dark. At the same time. He visited me before he even existed and that's a little freaky tbh i hope he visits again soon

This does help answer a question thats been bothering me since the parley happened which is what language do him and his majesty speak? And auden for that matter. Bc ofc i write in English but other languages do exist still, and both grim and the lord speak most languages (so the interpreters weren't even rly needed with the humans) but that doesn't mean they just speak english bc i write in english bc that seems unfitting to me.. now ive decided they just speak latin in reality. Or some other form of lost language no one else speaks. That or if they are speaking to someone else, then they speak the language the person they are talking to speaks. Same with the Doctor actually, since it "talks" in people's thoughts, and whatever it says is interpreted in a way unique to each individual, so if its communicating with a Spanish speaking person for example then that person would hear its words in spanish bc thats what they understand and thats the filter their brain interprets things through. But it doesn't rly talk it just kinda beams its own thoughts into people, so it technically speaks all languages, but also doesn't speak any.
