so their ages - i tend to default to canon ages unless i absolutely have to change them, so gihun would be around 18/19 and inho would be 16/17. i can see junho being barely a year old when daeho is born so these ages fit.

gihun graduated from high school in early '93, so i can see him and inho celebrating and he gets pregnant accidently. inho is still in high school, has just one year left (if i understood well most korean high scool students graduate at 17/18 so inho will be 18 when he graduates in 1994, but i could be wrong) and is on track to go to university to study law.

when gihun finds out he doesn't tell anyone for days. he's in shock and scared and thinks that if he ignores it, the problem will go away. he only ends up confessing bc he started crying while holding baby junho and inho freaked out. gihun apologizes and says he doesn't know how it happened, they were so careful and inho is so confused at first but he connects the dots quickly.

and i think he'd be so happy! of course he wants to have a baby with gihun! yes, it's early but they can work it out together! his optimism makes gihun feel better and they start fantasizing abt having a baby together 💖

then their parents find out. i hc inho and junho's dad as being a strict man, so i can see him not being amused at all. in fact, he tells inho to break up with gihun and say that the baby isn't his. inho has a bright future, he doesn't need this weighting him down.

gihun's mom absolutely loses her mind. her son is irresponsible but getting pregnant at 18 is a whole other thing. she tells him that he not only ruined his future, he also ruined inho's.

when people find out, there are rumors that gihun got pregnant on purpose to trap inho and completely opposite ones that say that inho pocked a hole in a condom to make sure gihun wouldn't break up with him (there was a whole rumor that gihun was leaving him for sangwoo, who is abt to go to snu, and inho found out).

inho's stepmom is actually the only adult who is supportive. she likes babies and she loves her stepson so of course she's thrilled for him. she knows he and his boyfriend are young but they seem like good boys and they'll make good decisions. besides, they are so good with junho, they are going to be wonderful parents!

of course, when inho refuses to leave gihun, inho's dad says that they have to get married. he isn't going to have a bastard grandchild. gihun's mom agrees. hell, sangwoo's mom agrees bc u can bet your ass that gihun's mom told her immediately after finding out.

sangwoo has a minor crashout when he finds out and he is even happier to go to snu. that way he doesn't have to see gihun throw his life away for a terrible man like inho.

inho and gihun decide to daeho's name together bc tigers are gihun's fav animal and he thought it'd be cute if his name matches with inho's! on one of their first dates inho won gihun a tiger plushie in a game, so it feels like a full circle moment.
